Bad Customer Service Experience

I had some significant problems with my vehicle after having the battery replaced at a different establishment (it was Sunday (11/13) and the dealer service was closed) and after replacing the battery my radio and some other things were either not working entirely or were not working properly. I called Monday (11/14) to get an appointment with a loaner and was told there were no loaners available. I made an appointment with my service advisor, Michael, for Wednesday (11/16) and he told me he will definitely have a loaner for me on Wednesday. I show up Wednesday (taking time off from work to bring my car in), and Michael tells me he needs to see if any loaner cars are available, which is shocking to me because he virtually guaranteed me a car. There were no loaners available, which aggravated me as he could have called me to tell me this before I left work early to bring my car in. I asked him why he didn't call me to tell me this, and he made up 2 very weak excuses and took no responsibility whatsoever. So now I am left to try and find another time to bring my car in. And in the meantime, several things are not working on the car. My time needs to be more important than this when you are dealing with customer service. I really don't understand what the point of making an appointment and being told a loaner would 'definitely' be available if that cannot be assured. Especially without the courtesy of a phone call if something prevents that from happening. I bought my car at this dealership in 2011 and have been going there for service ever since. You've now likely lost a customer.

I was looking for a new Chevy Colorado and started surfing the web. Low and behold...Ray Huffines Chevrolet popped up as having the best price for the exact truck I wanted. The only problem is that Plano is 5 1/2 hours from me. I had the next two days off and needed to work quickly so I could hit the road if they still had the truck available. I sent a message pretty late that night and very early the next morning I noticed a response to my inquiry. Within a few hours Mark Ferguson had everything approved and ready for me to jump in the car and start my road trip. We arrived late in the day, but all the guys were so kind to stay late and work through the paperwork. I wanted to add the protection to the interior and exterior...this takes 3 hours and we had to leave Plano by noon to make it home for a dinner party. Mark and the guys were amazing and we were protected and on the road by 12:15!! Not only was everyone kind, courteous and professional, they were also patient and helpful. Mark's knowledge of the truck allowed him to teach us everything we needed to know and helped us feel comfortable taking a long road trip immediately after receiving the keys. I would recommend Ray Huffines to all of my friends and family!!

Huffines Chevrolet in Plano made my new car purchase a pleasurable experience. Their website made it easy to find what I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised that the advertised price of the vehicle was the actual sales price. Many dealerships don't honor their advertised prices or find other ways to take advantage of you during the process (i.e. offering you a fraction of what your trade is worth to offset their advertised price). I received a fair value for my trade-in and the financing department worked to get me the best possible interest rate for my new car purchase. Dan Werner did a great job getting my wife and me taken care of quickly and made the entire process enjoyable. I have worked with Huffines' service department in the past (and always had a good experience), but this was my first time purchasing a vehicle from them. I absolutely will purchase from Huffiness again in the future. There are other dealerships that are closer to my house, but I don't mind driving the extra distance to work with a great dealership like Huffines.

No hassle sales isn't just a gimmick. I've been looking for a specific car for months. Lucky me, I finally found the car I wanted at Huffines Plano. Andres helped me get it at the lowest possible price. Test drove it around lunch and drove it home around 5. I now have bought both new and used cars from Huffines Plano and have glowing reviews.

I went with my sister searching for a 2017 Chevy traverse. We had a great expiriance searching for the right traverse for her. Bryan was very helpful. He was able to answer all of our questions. He has excellent communication skills as well as people skill. I would recommend every one who is searching for a new or used car to definitely go and see him. I want thank Melva Walton and Steven Ashley for making getting a second key for my 2001 Alero a great experience. When I entered the service office, I received a friendly greeting from Melva and asked if she could help me. When I told her I needed a key, she sent me to Steven in the Parts department for help. I received a "how can I help you?" from Steven. He took my information and personally made me the key. It was so easy and took very little time! It was a pleasure to get an important task completed with the help of two great people. This is what I envision good service to be and they did a great job. Spent 5-6 hours showing us the available trucks we were interested in, including explaining all features and doing a test drive. I contacted Huffines earlier in the week before our visit. Brandon Mockbee got back to me after the website contact. I told him my husband wanted a Chevy Colorado Work Truck. We arrived Saturday afternoon. Brandon pulled out a white Chevy Colorado work truck and it was exactly what my husband wanted. We did a quick deal and signed the purchasing papers. The Finance office took longer than the actual process of looking at and deciding to buy the truck.

We once again had a outstanding experience purchasing a vehicle from Huffines Chevrolet in Plano. We have purchased 4 new vehicles from this location (and 1 new from their Plano Jeep location), dating back to 1995.We worked with Mark Ferguson on our recent Silverado purchase. Mark was very knowledgeable and very easy to work with and worked hard to locate our new truck; after discussion, we settled on one that was in-transit (on the train) that more than met our requirements. Mark made sure that we received all the available discounts and incentives for this vehicle, so that we were able to come in well within our budget. The process was so streamlined....Bryce could answer all of the questions, he has a peaceful confidence, and was right to the point in finding us what we needed. I bought several cars from Huffines in the past. Recently I purchased a car for my son and have to share my experience. Mark Ferguson in new car sales found the perfect car for me, it was a trade-in. Between him and Larry Smith (used cars) they bent over backwards for me. Mark even helped me on his day off. They exceeded EVERY expectation I had and kept the excitement going without any issue whatsoever. I have to also include Bryan in Finance who was the most helpful and sharpest finance guy I ever worked with. Buying a car is an investment - you should walk away feeling happy and satisfied. Eric Valdez did a great job! I am very busy this time of year and was able to work via phone and Internet to get the quote and finance needed to seal the deal. Others wanted me to come in and waste my time going through all the back and forth. Huffines Chevrolet beat another local dealer's price. As a matter of fact, I got the vehicle I wanted, GAP insurance and extended warranty of 6 years/85,000miles for the price the other local dealer quoted for the vehicle alone. This is the 4th or 5th car I have bought from Huffines. Don't know why I tried to go anywhere else. They are in my backyard.

My Chev Impala recently needed the ignition cylinder replaced. While there, diagnostics were run, and determined 3 other issues that truly needed to be repaired. Curtis Shell, Jr. carefully and understandably explained the issues, needed repairs, and costs. He was very helpful, always available by either dealer phone or his cell, and responded quickly. I was provided a brand new, full-size SUV to drive while my vehicle was in for repairs. Curtis walked me around the vehicle, explained functions, and just asked that I bring it back with a full tank of gas. When I arrived to pickup my car, Curtis walked me to the front desk. Sadly, I cannot remember the name of the very nice woman who checked me out; she was fairly new, and her name is not listed in the list below. Curtis asked for the invoice, went through it line by line (but quickly), and then passed the baton to his colleague. She quickly checked me out, and I was ready to go. At that time, Melva Walton, the other Front Desk person, asked if I would complete a review. This has been a great experience, and I'm happy to do so. I'm also pleased to know that I have a dealer within 2-3 miles of my work where I can go for future Chev needs. Thank you!! I rate Curtis, Melva, and the other Front Desk person all EXCELLENT! When my husband and I are ready to replace this vehicle, Huffines WILL be one place we definitely will look.

The service department is terrible. I'm not sure what the manager is doing, but the Huffhines name used to stand for quality. My parents and myself have purchased multiple cars from Huffhines over the years, but I think we are done. They have not addressed or fixed the hydraulics on the rear lift of my 2013 Santa Fe. I took it in 9 days ago! I even called and spoke to my service advisor two days before my original appointment because when I was there in November it was chaos. During that call, I was told my car would be fixed the day I brought it in. I've now emailed the GM twice because no one is handling this. How could hydraulics be so complicated? Tons of cars have them. I am very disappointed.

I saw a car online and put in an inquiry, and Eric called me within 15 minutes to follow up on my inquiry. I bought a used Hyundai Sonata in November, and Eric did an amazing job of walking me through the process of buying from a dealership. There were a couple of issues with getting transferred to the right department when calling the dealership to try and reach Eric or the Service department (to see when the car would be ready for pickup), but Eric always went above & beyond to make sure that I knew what was going on.

Brought in 2006 SSR with an electrical problem. George traced it to after market radio that failed and was interfering with data transmission. Non-Warranty. As usual Reggie Pimento kept me appraised of what was going on and even put the Tech (George on the phone to explain. This car is not a daily driver it only goes to Car shows, Parades etc. Am not typically a trusting person with it but have learned that Reggie is a straight up guy. It was the most trouble-free car purchase I have experienced in my 52 years. No problems getting the price I asked for (it was reasonable, of course!) and Don Williams and the staff were professional and helpful. Didn't try to pressure me into anything at finance time. Held the car for me a week while I tended to getting rid of my other lease. I was impressed and they will be in my short-list of dealers to work with next time I am car shopping, which hopefully will be a LONG time from now !! Keep up the great work folks !! Thanks much.

I started looking online "building" my car, and sent an inquiry to Huffines. I got a nice response from Mark Ferguson, who identified himself as an "internet sales" specialist. I was not ready to act on my inquiry, and told Mark that. He was fine with this...not pushy, but gave me some information and options for searching out the perfect car via email. He checked in (referencing some medical issues my family was dealing with; i.e., personalized messages) on an every week to 10 days interval...again, not pushy, just offering his services, and letting us know he was available if/when we were interested. I very much appreciated his personalized emails to just check in. When the time came, he made himself available to us, was extremely patient, allowed us, without pressure, to test drive several levels of the Impala so we could "feel" the differences, and spent a little over 6 hours with us. As a result, we drove off in a 2016 Impala LTZ, and feel like we are valued customers. It was a great overall experience.

I wound up coming to Huffine's Chevrolet after a downright awful experience with the corporate owned (I assume corporate) dealer by my house. Their service was down right terrible and quite frankly talked me out of ever wanting to own a Chevy again. Found that Huffine's was near work and had a fairly good customer service rating. Now I can see why, from the moment I came in to the moment the car was ready the service was top notch. The diagnostic fee was reasonable and the car came back with no issues. I can definitely say that I will be a return customer as long as the service stays this way.

Came in for routine oil & tire rotation work, but had a very bad smell coming from the AC vents, so needed cabin air filter. Keith informed me that mold formed in the system and had it cleaned out. He also took the extra step of re-programming the HVAC fan so that mold would not build up in the system again. That was awesome! Thank you again! Will most definitely be back here for service.

Met with Eric on Friday, he got all the financials and paper work done, drove off with the car on Saturday, win for Hyundai loss for Ford, Eric was the difference. I spoke and got pushed around to 3 sales people before meeting with Eric and if it was not for him I would of left. The rating was given based upon the fact that it took me a long time before they got me to someone that did not want to waste my time.

Frank Conti was very knowledgeable & helpful, keeping me informed about the diagnosis, cost estimate & time to repair. He even advised me of a recall that was only announced last week & even though GM hadn't notified me yet, he had the work done so I wouldn't need to make an extra trip to the dealer. Melva is an angel! She ensured I received any discounts to which I was entitled, got the coffee pots refilled, & kept me smiling with her great sense of humor. Since the cashier is the last person the customer sees, Huffines couldn't have a better person for the job. I hope she handles my transaction next time I have my truck serviced.

From my first contact with Mark Ackerman and the team at Huffines Chevrolet in Plano, they catered to all of my questions and needs. I've purchased cars before, but this experience with a dealership was by far the best I've had. Everything from help on which features on the Tahoe I was looking for, to a great tour of the facilities at Plano Chevrolet, as well as a thorough walk through of the features on my new vehicle, everything was made very easy for me. My schedule is busy, and Mark catered to that, and never lost patience - it was about a three week process from when I really had decided to get the Tahoe, and actually got a around to doing it - Mark was great throughout the entire thing. I have already recommended Huffines Chevrolet in Plano to friends, and happen to love my Tahoe to boot.

I purchased a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic LT Sedan in August of 2014. The vehicle was awesome as Chevrolets are, but a Sedan was not my car of choice. After only owning this vehicle for only 5 months I guessed there was no way I could trade out of it without raising my payment a massive amount and having to put a lot of cash down. I was wrong. I went to see Mark Ackerman who I have dealt with solely for years and to my amazement I was able to get out of the 2014 Chevrolet Sonic Lt Sedan into a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic LT Hatchback. Wednesday, I placed a call to Reggie asking if I brought my car in "sometime" in the afternoon, if he could take a look at it...I needed a new battery and knew it! I did not know "when" I would be arriving or "how" I would be arriving -- either driving or riding in the roadside service truck with my car on a flatbed. Roadside service was able to jump start my car and I drove it to Huffines. Less than 2 hours from the time I placed my first call to Reggie, I was leaving Huffines with a new battery, the alternator and starter had been checked, and I was pulling out of the service department. Reggie even took time to re-set my clock (something that annoys me every time I have to do that little task)!! Can't be better than that! This is all very amazing as I live in far northeast Richardson. I have had fantastic previous service from Huffines Service Department while working with Reggie...and he sure did not let me down again!!! When I paid my bill, Shirley was very friendly and went over each item on my bill. Shirley is a courteous and pleasant professional who has great communication skills -- truly a great asset to Huffines in Plano!!! Her smile is infectious!! I am a senior female who knows very little about cars but has found Huffines trustworthy, knowledgeable, thorough, affordable and timely every time I have been at the Plano Service Department! I was looking for a specific vehicle, and after visiting another dealership with a less than optimal experience, it was so refreshing to visit Huffines Chevrolet. Being from the midwest and being part of a GM family, my family has had great experiences with their local dealerships that we have gotten cars from in the past and being relatively new to Texas and in a crunch to get a new car, I was so glad to have found Huffines Chevrolet. It had the family atmosphere, the caring support, and went the extra mile to make sure my questions were answered and I was taken care of. I really appreciate all that they did and will definitely be recommending others to visit if looking for a new car!

We bought a 2012 Equinox from Huffines in Nov. 2011. Because we knew we'd need an extended warranty, we asked for what was available up front. Can't recall the fellow's name, but one of their reps handled all the "preferred customer pricing" plans (Costco, AT&T, and so on). He spent hours with us, test driving an Impala as well as an Equinox, making sure we were both happy with the vehicle, and then figuring out what deal we could get. Once the check was written and the deal was done, I was invited back to take delivery, and the same fellow walked me through the operation of the vehicle, helped me set up the OnStar service, and so on. We've taken the Equinox back for service at the same dealership, and they've treated us promptly and cheerfully every time. I made the mistake of going to another dealership for a tire defect, and got pressured into buying an additional warranty that we didn't need. Never went back to that dealer, won't go there again for anything. So, now I'm looking for another vehicle (a Silverado 1500 ExtCab), and while some of the others in the area have cheaper prices listed online, I'm still gravitating back to Huffines Plano because they have treated us right for the past three years. Not ready to buy yet, but soon, guys! (My only complaint? Please get rid of Fox News in the service department customer lounge... I bring an iPad and noise-cancel earbuds so I can tune that garbage out completely.)

Our car had recently been totaled and the budget was extremely tight! We weren't planning to buy a car and had been discuouraged by what we'd found.Talk about stress! My wife saw a car on line and talked to Kaylee about it, but it was sold before we could react. When that sale fell through, Kaylee called us and we were able to make it work. The price was good, they let our mechanic check it out and then repaired the items he found. We drove out with the car less than 48 hours after Kaylee's call. Everyone was helpful, the process was fast, and Kaylee was great to work with. And the Finance Manager was very helpful too.

I first arrived at Huffines looking to test drive a couple of used cross-overs. Still very much in my research phase, Norman in used cars was low pressure, nice and very flexible. He didn't call me daily, just every so often when something new in my criteria became available. I had my financing set, since a different dealership had turned me down and I wanted to avoid that experience again. After visting 8 dealerships, I decided to buy from Norman. When a new Hyundai on the adjacent lot caught my eye, he inquired about it. It was more than I was really prepared to spend, but he walked me over to Nick. Nick was professional, polite and nice to work with. I was convinced it was never going to happen based on numbers, so I set my bottom line and went back to work. Nick worked HARD to both discount the car and to get me a rate that was WAY lower (3%!)than my approval. He picked me back up at work within 2 hours of our first meeting and I had the BEST car buying experience ever. These guys really took the time to understand what was important to me and to deliver it. No long waits, no hassles, no frustration.
