Buying a vehicle from Horne Auto

I have dealt with Shain Thomas on buying several new vehicles and find him to be fair and honest. His knowledge of the Chevrolet vehicles is excellent and I would recommend using him as your sales person.

My husband and I went in to Horne Auto one week day, and were very disappointed with the "high pressure technique" used by one of your representatives. So, we picked up our two great granddaughters and walked out. This person (I have completely blocked his name out of my memory) even told us that our trade in, a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, had metal in the transmission, and that we would be lucky to make it home. The next morning, my husband took the Jeep to the Jeep dealer and had the transmission fluid and filter changed. There was no metal in the fluid, the oil was good (my husband had recently changed the oil), and everything looked great!! As we were leaving the Jeep dealership we received a call from Shain Thomas. He said he could match our requests, and would we like to talk to him about purchasing the 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. I asked if the other gentleman would be present or have anything to do with our purchase. Shain told me no, that he would handle the paperwork himself. We went directly to the Chevrolet dealership, and purchased the automobile we wanted Shain was GREAT!!! We have recommended him to our family members that are considering purchases of automobiles in the near future. As far as we are concerned, Shain Thomas is a fabulous asset to the Horne Chevrolet Dealership.

Not Honest

I was looking at a used vehicle, talked to Mike over the phone and asked specifically what the condition of the car was, was told it was in excellent and clean shape. Asked to tell me if there were any imperfections on the car. He said he will go out and look the car over, and was told again that the car was clean and in excellent shape. I asked what the current millage was and was told it had about 30 to 50 more miles on the car as advertised. I drove over 6 hrs to check out the car. Looking at the car had damage on the rear bumper car had 4,000 more miles than advertised, also I had specifically asked this question and was told on 30-50 more miles than what was listed. When we opened the door, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming and the interior had cigarette burns. The interior of the car was filthy and disgusting, I would have thought that they would of had the car cleaned. The car was also missing items that were in the advertised picture. This is not an honest dealer and would not recommend them to anyone. This is the first negative review that I have given ever...Thanks for wasting my family's time and gas money.

Subaru Dealer A+ asset to the White Mountains

We've had our 2013 Subaru Outback for over a year now and been very happy with all aspects of the dealership. The sales department was helpful and accommodating when I needed my bluetooth synced with my iphone. The service department was friendly and encouraging when our family decided to proceed with the installation of AUTOMATIC START. The installation was smooth and has come in handy when we've had colder weather as well as warm. The safety features have of course has been amazing and when in doubt of any questions the service department has been more than great teaching the many uses of the vehicles accessories.

Buyer beware, of the used department!

Buyer Beware, have a mechanic check out any car you plan on buying from Horne Auto center of Show Low AZ. When looking for new truck I came across one from this dealership in my price range. Over the course of three days I learned more about the truck, got more pictures, got more information and negotiated a fair price. Everything seemed to be going good. I drove six hours down to Show Low for the test drive and found that the trucks speedometer didn't work! They offered to fix it but had to increase the price of the vehicle 600 dollars to cover the cost. Then when i tried to get them to at least compensate for the gas to get down to the dealership and the time the owner, Mr, Horne said he would not pay for anything and that his people knew what they were doing.

New transmission poor job

We took our vehicle to the Horne Auto for a new transmission and were assured their service technicians were certified. When I drove off after being told the car was ready. It was bucking and the gear shift kept gliding from drive to manual. I immediately returned and the Mechanic told me it was suppose to work that way. When he saw that I was not going to leave he finally took it back to the shop came back and said he fixed it! I drove less than a mile down the street at a complete stop the vehicle bucked roared and shot into traffic with my foot on the brake. I would not recommend Horne dealership to service any vehicle. They cannot be trusted. I found out later that they had not even taken my care for a test drive after installing the new transmission.

Great place to shop.

Wow, what a difference in the buying experience at Horne Auto Center than at the other "mountain dealers". We worked with Mike Davis, the Internet Sales Manageer, as the process was seamless and fun. The pricing was "no haggle", we got the best price the first time we asked for it. We received more for our trade than we ever imagined we would receive. The financing was easy. Never a moment of discomfort of pressure. I hope Mike had as much fun as we did.

Best on the mountain

Went to every dealer on the mountain shopping for my daughters first car. We got the best service and deal hands down!
