Piece of cake - quick, easy, polite, got the service set up at a convenient time for me. My 2007 Honda Civic was under recall to replace the passenger-side airbag. They ordered the part and contacted me when it came in. I made an appointment the next day and the repair took less than an hour. I had a great experience when I purchased the car from them.

I was notified there was a recall/replacement for the airbags in my 2009 Civic. The service department said they would call when the new parts were in, I was called, an appointment was made, the airbags were replaced two hours ahead of schedule and there was no charge. Win-win-win-win-win-win.

I was having a bad week/month/year and the check engine light came on. I've been through so many repairs on my car, each of them expensive, and I was ready for the worst, most expensive, most time consuming hassle. Cameron Aulerich and the shuttle drivers went out of their way to make it all better and I can't be more grateful. I've been to a few dealerships as a car owner and the people here really treat you with kindness and caring. I went in feeling horrible and came out feeling thankful.

My 2015 Accord battery, with less than 10K miles, died on a Monday. A friend jump started the car and I drove it a short distance to a local Honda service center where they tested the battery and gave me a printout stating the battery was strong. The next day, the battery died again late at night in an unsafe area before a long drive home alone. I drove to Santa Monica Honda without an appointment in the morning and Ken Gee had the battery replaced under warranty and minor service performed in under 2 hours. Outstanding customer service and repair, respectful to women, clean waiting and restrooms.

I had unexpected issue with the battery and drove to the SM service dept at Honda without an appointment. I was assigned a service manager who was very courteous and had the car checked thoroughly. He also explained what had happened and why no new battery was needed. The car is working great. Just what I expect: courtesy, prompt assistance, thoroughness. And the waiting area is quite comfortable.

Gary made the buying experience very easy. I was there in the morning looking, and decided to trade in my old car, but before we could get any paperwork done, I had to pick up my daughter. While I was gone, Gary got everything ready, so when returned I just had to sit briefly with the business manager to sign the papers, and then move my stuff from the old car to the new. Once again, Gary was helpful in hauling my stuff between cars and helping me install the car seat while I wrangled my 4 year old. Very helpful indeed!

Ron is our service manager and he has gone our of his way to be helpful - installing new wiper blades for me himself and taking my car in for a late-afternoon oil-change on a day when the gentlemen manning the entry informed me that they were not taking in anyone without an appointment. The service is quick and reliable. Cannot recommend them enough.

I had no trouble getting a service appointment for the time I wanted. The service was done in quickly and well, and took less time than they had predicted. The people were friendly and well-informed. My present car is the third one I've purchased from this dealer. Needless to say, I've been very happy with them over many years.

The service department is not very friendly and it takes a while for someone to even help you. On the sales floor, no one came to assist us until we asked if anyone was even around to help us. Loan personnel do not explain all the documents to you and well they are just there to make sure you sign. Not helpful, not sure i would buy another car here. I also got another one of my Honda's serviced here and well they changed my oil, no major issue there but they said there was some needed service like new brakes yet i had just went to another Honda dealership about 8 months ago and had new ones placed. Also, they don't wash your car after you get service done here. An employee said their manager refuses them to do this because they had an issue with the city.

I've taken my 2015 Honda Fit to Honda of Santa Monica on 2 occasions for an oil change and tire rotation. Their service has been friendly and efficient both times, yet I don't plan to return. Given the fact that they cater exclusively to Honda and have a higher price point, I expect a high quality of service for repairs and maintenance. When rotating my tires for my last visit, they either didn't measure or didn't pay attention to the proper psi and filled my front tires with too much air. Not only is this a hazard, but it was an inconvenience to take my car to another dealer to have the problem diagnosed and repaired. It's an easy thing to fix, yet negligence with such a routine procedure does not bode well for other repairs.

I recently brought my car to Honda of Santa Monica and was extremely pleased with my experience. I made an appointment and work was done on my car punctually and efficiently. My car continues to run wonderfully and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else, nor have I taken it anywhere else, because I am very satisfied with the quality of the work the mechanics do. Not only have they addressed all my issues but everyone at Honda, including the reception desk and management go out of there way to accommodate their clients. Everyone is very helpful, informative, and very importantly, they are trustworthy. I have had very bad experiences in the past with many different mechanics and I have finally found a place where I can rest assured all my car needs will be taken care of with such kindness and professionalism from the employees. Gil was my mechanic last time and he was phenomenal as well as the friendly ladies at the front desk in the services department! I highly recommend Honda of Santa Monica; they are first class mechanics!

The routine service was OK, except that in rotating the tires, the wheel cover wasn't but back on right, and it fell off as I drove off. They immediately apparently fixed it, but it came loose again a few days later, so I asked them to fix it again when I came back to have my brakes done. A few days later, it fell off again, so I came back. So far, it's OK this time. Marc the service writer was a great help with all this and also very good about explaining what things really needed to be fixed and what not so much on my 11 year old Insight.

After my 2003 Corolla broke down unexpectedly, I was in the market for a new vehicle. I had already done some research and was looking for a midsize family sedan to grow in to. I used cars.com to narrow down to some specifics and located a 2013 Honda Accord almost top of the line for a great price. I emailed Honda of Santa Monica regarding scheduling a test drive and confirmation of the price. Got an immediate response from the Internet Sales Manager, Sean. Sean and I discussed the price and scheduled a test drive. My fiance and I drove to Honda of Santa Monica and met Sean. We took a test drive and liked the vehicle and price. Sean was straight forward and asked "Do you want to buy?" I said sure. Sean took us to the office to begin the paperwork. We began the paperwork. Everything went smoothly. We signed. Sean introduced me to Ali, the finance department. Ali and I completed the financial paperwork. I informed Ali that I was in process of obtaining a loan through my credit report. He understood and said in the meantime finance through our company until you get a confirmation from the credit union. I appreciated that. After we completed the financial paperwork, Ali redirected me to Sean who had gone to get the car ready (car wash, etc). Sean took me to the car to set up my Bluetooth. At that point he noticed that my cars smart key battery was low and that he would overnight a battery to me. This is where the car buying process goes bad. I bought the car on 5/12/16 and didn't receive the battery until 6/10. This is after countless emails to Sean with no response and this is after I went out and bought my own battery. I just find it funny that when I'm trying to buy a car, you respond immediately but once I buy the car, I can't get a hold of you. If you're going to promise something, do it in a timely manner or at least respond to the emails saying that you're working on it. Overall, the car buying process at this dealership is good. I had no problem with filling out paperwork, or being pressured into anything like other dealerships i've been too. At the end of the day, I got the battery way too late, but it's not good customer service in my eyes. But i will be taking my car to another Honda dealership for service.

I recently took my car to Honda of Santa Monica because I had a recall notice for my air bags. I have to say that I was dreading the whole process but the folks over at Santa Monica Honda made the process so seamless I did not even notice that the air bag replacement and replacing break pads took half the day. They kept me informed about how long everything was going to take and their estimates were spot on. There was a shuttle readily available for pick up and drop off and the waiting room is very pleasant with wifi in case you need to work. Overall, I had a positive experience. My car is running great and the service from everyone at Santa Monica Honda was beyond my expectations. I will definitely be back here whenever I need service for my car.

I got a 2-year lease from there and was very happy that they were able to find the color I wanted (Champagne). They transported it from another location within a day. I went to the service department twice after I got the car - once for a flat tire (entirely my own fault) and then an oil change. Extremely positive experience. For the oil change, I had a coupon that had expired but the guy who helped me was able to apply it to the cost. Really happy with everything so far.

My check Engine light came on and I wanted to get my car in as soon as possible. I called in the late morning and my service advisor, Karl, let me know he could get me in that day. I was very happy they could squeeze me in so quickly. I drove over to the shop right away. The area is clean and well kept. They greeted me immediately and alerted Karl that I had arrived. Karl took down all the information that I had for him, then got me a ride back to my office right away. I was called later that day to let me know what they had found the corrections/repairs that were recommended and then upon my approval, they finished up the car so that I could pick it up the same day. I was very pleased with the entire process.

When I got home...I looked at my four new tires. Two looked new and two looked old! How can that be?I was there five hours with all the work being done. Five hours is a long time. Especially towards the end.....I had to go up and ask if my car was done yet. My scheduled service advisor was not due in yet when I arrived, but another service advisor got me started. He was very good at explaining what I needed, how much repairs would be. My service was a B 1 2 which can be expensive. The service advisor stated if my filters are OK, I would not need to spend a lot of money which turned out to be the case. I appreciated the fact the repairmen checked first rather than repairing/changing something I didnt need. My scheduled advisor was very good too. Very personable.

I bought a 2005 Honda Odyssey new from SM Honda. I still own it. At 10,000, 15,000 and 33,000 I brought the car in for transmission problems. Each time they said that they couldn't find a problem with it. It was off warranty at 36,000 and at 50,000 the transmission completely blew out. I went through 3 refurbished transmissions. The problem is the torque converter computer is bad. They started to repair this problem a few years ago for cars with less than 100,000 miles but mine has more. I hate Honda. I wrote to the President of Honda without any satisfaction . to Cars.com please contact me before removing. I have full documentation

This Honda dealership was great in the fact that they sat down and addressed every concern we had about the car, They were very knowledgeable of their cars and were able to provide proof that the car we bought was in excellent condition. "Negociation" isnt a problem at this dealership because the prices they have their cars for are the price you would have to fight tooth and nail for at other dealerships we have been to. The back of the house paperwork guy is young and works quick not like other dealerships that have fossils doing paperwork in the back.

Even Capital One, notorious for high interest rates, was in line with other financing sources. Tried to talk me into a cheaper car instead of offering a fair deal.

I was impressed at first because the people on the phone were very helpful. Bottom line: I hate buying cars and this dealership didn't change my mind on that. My experience: (1) I asked for photos of the Honda Odyssey that I came to see, but they wouldn't send me photos but assured me since it was in Santa Monica that it was a top quality car because its an affluent area. Tail light was broken, hubcaps missing and scratched up inside. I wish they would've told me that before I came down. I'm not making this up. (2)Typical car salesman. Pushy. I didn't exist. Only my wallet. Pushed my concerns aside on the van instead of listening hoping that he could sell me on it. (3) The true price concept that they tout is not true. They will negotiate price with you if you are firm. We started talking about a vehicle and he went back and forth upstairs several times as we haggled over price until I realized this wasn't the right deal for me.

I spoke with Hannah this morning about a honda odyssey advertised on their mobile site. She mentioned they have it but at another facility and will need to get it in. For this I had to stop by the dealership and fill out a form to get the vehicle from another lot. I stopped by and thought I would get my car appraised. When I came by I was assigned another person who took me to another odyssey. Despite carrying my information/request on hand about the used odyssey that I was looking for he took me to the lot with the new odyssey (obviously more expensive). I noted to him that I was not interested in this one. So we went back. He then asked me to fill up a FICO credit check and application just to bring the car from another lot!? This was thorough nonsense despite me clearly mentioning that I was going to finance from my credit union. Hannah dropped by and mentioned that any dealer would require me to fill up credit check and application to just look at the car. What kind of nonsense business this is. I mentioned that I would not swing by this place again and would look for an odyssey at other dealerships or another minivan. They didn't try to stop me knowing they were losing business because of some "scheme" to rope me in. Please train your staff.

I always take my 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid to Honda of Santa Monica. I used to take it to another dealer located closer to home, but a few years ago, I decided to try Honda of Santa Monica since it was closer to work. And I'm glad I did. On my most recent visit, I needed a new 12V battery for the HCH. Although AAA jumpstarted it for me in my driveway, they didn't have a replacement in their truck, so I drove the car to Honda of Santa Monica after price-comparing with Pep Boys and AutoZone. With the 15% off coupon that I found on their website, Honda of Santa Monica was very competitive. Mark Uchiyama has been my service advisor there for several years. He is THE BEST! Why do I like him so much? Because he actually CALLS me to tell me when my car is ready (unlike some other service advisors who don't call, and then you have to call them at the end of the day to ask). He is great about advising what service is or is not necessary for your car, and he's very polite. I would give him 5 stars alone. But the service department as a whole deserves some kudos, too. They have a comfortable waiting area with a flat screen TV. And they have a cool coffee machine, which can make you all different types of coffee beverages. And free wifi! If you are in search of a great Honda service experience - I highly recommend Honda of Santa Monica. And ask for Mark - he's great!

Great customer service. Friendly, polite, patient, and they even helped me find lower insurance quotes for my new vehicle. The only negative part of the experience was that they tried to sneak in a couple of extra features onto my financing deal that wasn't needed. But I understand that they are business trying to make as much profit as possible; it is a car dealership, after all. Buyers simply need to always be aware of what it is they're signing for. I ended up with a great deal and my overall experience was excellent. Highly recommended.

I worked with this dealer over a two week period on the purchase of 2009 ML 320 Mercedes Benz. We reached a deal and the the offer was accepted and the dealer rep Kip indicated that I could proceed with making arrangments for shipping, I provided all my band information to commence the transfer of funds and left at least 6 messages, and talked with staff numerous times and got the complete runa around. I left messages on 4 occasions and was told that I would be called back within hours - and was never called back. After accepting my offer "legally binding verbal contract" they decided to back out as it was too difficult to work through the paper work to import to Canada. I disclosed on my very first phone call and email that I was from Canada. Extremly unprofessional conduct and treatment.

Very bad customer service. Sales rep was very helpful, but that's about it. Once you get to the upper management level, just get up a leave. I've bought and leased many cars before, this experience was the worst. If you do end up getting a car from them, make sure you calculate and check all the numbers during financing. They add thing that were not mentioned during the deal.Don't waste your time; just go to another Honda dealership

I shopped for a new CR-V with 4WD at Honda of Santa Monica a few weeks ago and they only had one in stock and it was white (I didn't really want a white one). I was told by Fay, my salesperson, that Honda of Santa Monica adds a "protection package" to all of the CR-Vs they sell. This "protection package" includes things like mud flaps, a rubber mat for the rear area, and a few other things that I tuned out, when she was telling me. The "protect package" cost an extra $900. Doesn't this sound a little like the window etching scheme that they were sued for a few years ago? Honda of Santa Monica evidently didn't learn their lesson when they paid out almost a million dollars on the class action lawsuit for the window etching scam. When Fay called me a few weeks later and I told her that I bought a new CR-V from another dealer, she yelled at me and I hung up on her. Don't buy a car from these crooks.

I live very close to this dealer and after a nightmare experience with many of the other dealers within 25 miles. I decided to go into this dealer, even after reading the several posts on this site. I was upfront and told them I had read the reviews and was a very local buyer and wanted to buy from them. I knew what I wanted and they were totally flexible and willing to help me get what I wanted with a good deal and a trade in.The used car manager was also very good on my trade. I originally wanted a AWD Element, they looked for over 4 weeks to find one in the color I wanted and no joy in the LA area.. I even called other dealers and this was the case... I ended up buying the SC which was my choice to move to the SC they were not pushy towards me on buying that car.Overall great experience and I would buy from them again, and I have since refered many others to them telling them if they want a honda go see this team.Even the GM of the dealership made himself available and was checking on how things were going on the several instances I was waiting in the dealer to speak to Dan the sales manager.Good group of people - even free coffee and cookies.... If your looking for a Honda and live on the West side go see these guys.. I had no BS from them and it was a good expereince buying my first new car from them.

Do not go here. 1 yr ago purcased cert. passport at less then 50,000 miles it needed a transmission. Honda care covered it, but I no longer want the car.Took it back to the dealer to trade it in. The sales people were rude, mocking and lied. They low bid the trade in based on a test drive they never took, we left a business card under the tire, car never moved, card was clean.Took the car to carmax for an est. trade. They said the car had possibly been in an accident, and because of that was worth 1/2 of KBB.Went back to dealerand confronted them with the carmax report. The GM had the service dept check it and then told me he had to pull the deal and to come back monday. Been back 4 times trying to work something out, either buy back the car and give me back my $ or put me in something comparable w/no $ down. The last time we were there for 6 hours, finally thought we had come to an agreement and they rolled out the LX not the EX that we had been negotiating. Bait and Switch.DO NOT GO HERE I WILL BE REPORTING Them to tHe BBB.Upon researching them I have found they have a large criminal backround. This is a bad place to buy a car.

THIS DEALERSHIP LINKED TO CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR (see link below)We negotiated a decent price on a brand new 06 Honda Odyssey EXL, but when it came time to deal with the Finance Manager, Leila Behpourian she flat out lied to us. Leila Behpourian told us that the official extended warranty Honda -CARE "must be purchased at the time of sale". ( A BIG FAT LIE). I even asked that if I was to come back in a week and wanted to buy HONDA CARE coverage I would not be able to and she said I could NOT that I MUST buy at the time of purchase. I usually like to research the coverage and price for a day or two but Leila Behpourian's cheap lying tactics drove me to reluctantly purchase the coverage for $1590 at the time of purchase. I applaud good salesmanship with good skills.... but to LIE to customers is below the belt. When I called back to ask why she told me I had to make the warranty purchase at the time of sale Leila acted as if I never asked the questions I did. She basically continued her lies. I AM NOT A FOOL I know what I asked and I dont like to be lied to. It is very sad that a salesperson such as Leila must use lies to make up for a lack of sales skills.I wonder if she really gave me the best interest rate or lied there tooYou would think after the legal troubles this dealership has been having that they would be cautious regarding the use of these tactics.
