This is the first time I've bought a Honda and chose the CR-V EX-L. Our salesman was Rick Galvin and we went back and forth deciding on this or the Toyota RAV4. We also dealt with another Honda dealer and Rick was able to match the other dealer and location was more convenient for us. They were able to find a specific color that we wanted and we only had to wait a few days. Rick was thorough in explaining all the perks of the vehicle when we test drove it and again when the car was delivered. So far I am very happy with it. I hope the service area is as good as the sales department

We purchased a used car with a full 90 day warranty. we live an hour away. when we bought it, it had an issue with a tire sensor. a day after taking the car, the sensor went. we also realized one of the back windows doesn't operate. they told us to come down and made an appointment for a week out. came down (1hr), sales man who sold us the car wouldn't talk to us. waited 1hr to be told they'd need us to bring it to a nissan dealer a week from now. so basically drive 1 hr down to wait 1 hour to find out we need to bring it somewhere else in another week, then drive 1hr back. very unorganized. overall it's taken over 2 weeks just to get the car into a service bay.a week later, it's at the nissan dealer, we have to keep referring them back to Honda North about payment. the car has been tied up for 2 days so far with no end in site. No one at Honda North is managing the work or communicating with Nissan.Buying the car was pretty easy and well managed. Getting it serviced has been an unfunny circus clown act

Just bought a used Pilot from Ben and it was easily the best car buying experience I've had in my life. We went in and the car was actually for sale at the price listed online. No bait and switch. No bs. Our salesmen was direct and to the point and got us exactly what we wanted, below market value, and quickly. Even the paperwork only took half an hour. Any other time I've bought a car it seemed to take at least two hours. Overall, is highly recommend using this dealer for any Honda buying needs

We were in the market for a new suv. After doing a fair amount of research and a few days of test drives we had narrowed it down to the Highlander or the Pilot. After dealing with one Toyota dealership we were so turned off that we decided on the Pilot. We call around and got some prices but the select was few and far between for what we wanted. My friend recommended that we check out Honda North. I sent an email and was replied to in less then 10 minutes. It was amazing. Their price blew away the competition. They had exactly what we wanted in stock. They were not pushy. When we finally made it up for a test drive, everything went great. We were treated like we were actual people and not just a sale. I had my two daughters (3 and less then a year old). They listened to what we wanted and also what my 3 year old wanted. I mean they truly went above and beyond to make sure we got the car we wanted at a price that we could afford. They also offer 2 years free maintenance. That is something most other Honda dealerships do not offer. This along with the great service and great price made it a no brainer. My wife went back for the first oil change recently and reiterated how nice it is to deal with Honda North - and this time it was just for a quick oil change.I would highly recommend checking them out if you are in the market for a Honda.

This was my first experience purchasing a "new" car, as my previous cars have all been hand-me-downs. When first arriving at the dealership, the Sales Consultants were waiting outside to greet customers (a big difference to another dealership I had visited the day before where I pa-roused the lot for 20 minutes and NO ONE came out to greet me!). Dave Clifford was a big help, encouraging me to test drive both a new and Certified Pre-Owned Honda CR-V. By the end of what was a test drive, I was signing papers to my "new" Certified Pre-Owned Honda CR-V, and I love it! Because this was an unplanned thing, however, I forgot to remove a CD from my trade-in CD player. I was happy to receive it in the mail from Dave a few days after my purchase!This was a good experience for me, and I will definitely look to Honda North for my future car needs!

I purchased a 2106 Honda Civic and couldn't be more pleased with the service and sales department of Honda North. Dave Clifford was courteous, respectful and extremely knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time explaining the new features of my Honda. I love the technology package, the navigation system and the blue tooth features of my car. He was very patient and kind showing me features that i had not previously had on prior cars. Dave Clifford sold me a certified used Odyssey. He was pleasant to work with and encouraged me to take as long as I needed to test drive the car -- but I could tell it was in fabulous condition. I had visited another major Honda dealership that morning, and the experience was drastically different: The used cars were in bad condition despite being advertised otherwise. When I asked for the condition report, they refused to show it to me and the salesperson and his manager became very aggressive. At Honda North, they showed me the condition report when I asked. The report said that the tires weren't up to certification standards, so they had been replaced. I ended up buying the same model and year minivan as the other dealership, but in much better condition and for a better price! Plus, the experience was much more pleasant. The purchase process was easy and quicker than I expected. I'll buy a car from Honda North again.

Bad service for problem with alarm

My dad went to the service department because his horn kept going off at night. They told him that they would keep the car for a day or two to see where the short in the wiring is. After two days and four hundred dollars later, the alarm still went off. He took it back and they told him he had to spend another 120.00 dollars for a key. They told him they would unplug his alarm. He got home guess what the alarm goes off again. He goes back and they tell him they unplugged the wrong wire. They pretty much told him you want it to work you have to buy the key. I tried to contact the service manager and general manager for this issue and no answer from both. I guess they don't want to talk to me after they scammed my dad who is elderly. Don't use this place nothing but s scam.

He is very knowledgeable, patient, and took his time explaining all the features of my New car, The Test drive was great as he made me feel comfortable and allowed me to drive as far as I wanted.I was given the Lightning Digital AV Aadapter with Lightning USB Cable cord by asking for it. Jake took his time to explain and set up the navigation via Honda Link and my phone to show up on the car's screen-awesome! I knew that I wanted a CRV EX-L with the Lane Watch which is really an unbeliveable feature!I love my New Honda and the price was great!Thank you.

When buying my 2012 Honda Civic Si, I was given an incredible interest rate, free car washes, a free spare key (previous owner lost it, so Ed ordered and programmed one for me free of charge simply because I asked), and really great customer service. Brian emailed and called me to see how I was enjoying the car even after I bought it, that is how you create repeat customers. Following up, being incredibly friendly, helpful, and down to earth are all qualities you will find at any ICL Autos dealers. Jameel will get you the absolute best financing rates possible, he is excellent. Even with my brief Credit history, I was able to get a rate and payments that pleasantly surprised me and fit my budget perfectly. My salesperson, Ed, was friendly, funny, and has a very genuine desire to find exactly what you need in a car. He even gave my family tips on where to go for our next Vacation to Italy! Really down to earth and helpful, Ed was awesome through the whole process. I got an unbelievable deal, on an excellent condition (and hard to find) car, and I cant see any reason to shop for a Honda elsewhere in the North Shore Area.

This was the first time I've shopped for a car alone (without husband/patent/friend in tow) and I was relieved to find the whole staff very professional. Dave was very informative and never pushy. After a frustrating experience trying to work things out with our local dealership, my husband decided to stop in at Honda North and ended up speaking with Dave Clifford. We both found working with Dave a much less stressful and straightforward experience. At the ripe old age of 56, we've seen our share of car buying situations. This was by far the happiest. Dave is a straight forward, down to earth guy and we so appreciate that. No one likes to feel that they're being worked over or played by the salesman. There was none of that with Dave. He answered all of our questions and there were no endless trips back and forth across the sales floor to "see what we could work out with my manager." I visited Honda North on 02/23/16 to gather information for a possible lease or purchase in four months time. David Clifford introduced himself in the parking area and asked if I needed assistance and I told him I was only window shopping. Mr. Clifford invited me to come in so he could answers any questions or concerns that I might have. My first impression was that this sales representative listened to and understood my unique situation and needs. He clearly explained my questions on a possible purchase, lease, or options with pre owned vehicles; and after some discussion I decided on reviewing leasing a new car. Mr. Clifford took down my personal information and a process of price options, trade in considerations, meeting with management support, vehicle test drive and visiting the service department brought me to leasing agreement that I was comfortable with and met my financial considerations. The 2011 Camry I was interested in was advertised as a manual transmission - the last year Toyota put a manual in a Camry. The pictures of this vehicle clearly showed it as an automatic, which was confirmed when I spoke with a sales representative. I can't bring myself to do business with a dealer who doesn't know the difference. Misleading advertising.

Brought my vehicle in on December 22nd to get the interlock switch on the shift replaced. They replaced a cable, not the switch and charged me $400.00. Twenty four hours later the problem was back. I scheduled another appt to have them revisit the issue and this time they found a bad interlock switch. The very component I told them was defective on my first visit. Rather than correcting the $400 misdiagnosis these people doubled down and charge an addition $115.00 to correct a problem that should have been caught on the first visit. I encourage you to visit Commonwealth Honda or Kelly Honda before doing any business with this outfit. I've had service performed at each of those dealerships and they're honest. Don't place your trust in this dealership

I was car shopping online and Honda North contacted me first. I had a great experience with them. My car was on her last few miles and I overheated severely approximately 2-3 miles from the dealership on the way to pick up my new car. I called and they met me with my new car and my salesman drove my old car her last few miles to the dealership while I followed. She was smoking from under the hood when we arrived.... driven to her last mile. The dealer gave me the old license plate - after all 284, 000 miles and 13 years is a long time to have a car. He was understanding of my nervousness toward the new gadgets and took his time to answer all my questions before I left with my new car. I am thankful for his help and understanding and look forward to saying hello when I return for my 5000 mile check up and car wash!

This is coming from someone who has NEVER had a good experience with an auto dealer. So when we had to look for a car I figured it would be painful again. We looked at a local Hyundai dealer where we service our current car but felt ignored and like we were bothering them. So we tried Honda North. I had heard a few people comment on pleasant experiences so we thought we would try it. Still skeptical we went and were met by Dave Clifford. He spent all the time we needed to ask questions and even though we were not ready to buy that day he still gave us full attention and priority. That is what brought us back a week later ready to buy. We also made sure we found Dave to help us with this process. We had never leased and he walked us through every step of the way. On January 4, 2016 my wife and I made a trip to Honda North, Danvers MA with the thought in mind to look at new Honda CR-V, and not buy. Upon entry into the showroom, which can be a bit intimidating, we were cordially met by the sales manager, who then introduced us to our salesman, Dave Clifford.After sitting down and talking to Dave, we were able to relax a bit due to his easy going nature. During this discussion Dave was able to determine the type of vehicle we were looking for and then take a test drive in a new CR-V which was similar to what we had in mind. As this whole process unfolded we began to feel like buyers and not tire kickers. Now we found a CR-V which very much held our attention and interest. Of course it was now time to find out exactly how much money this was going to cost me. After going through all of the buying details we actually became buyers of a great new CR-V EXL. After walking out of the dealership I had to ask myself how this could have happened since our minds were made up not to buy at this time.The answer was quite simple, Dave Clifford. Great Sales Team Horrible Body Shop!!!!

This is a review that only pertains to the Honda North Auto Body shop. The sales manager and sales rep I worked with are great guys and the sales manager attempted to have his body shop fix my car twice. The first time it went in, they were only going to paint the front and rear bumpers and fix a small crack. Should be an easy job, but instead of removing the bumpers and painting them off the car they sprayed them on the car. The entire car was covered in over spray, and instead of fixing it they gave the car back to me hoping I didnt notice. Besides the over-spray there was wet sanding residue all over the car, and would not come off. Whatever they tried wiping it with actually embedded it into the paint. My detailer was going to charge me over $300 just to try fixing the paint. To top it all off the paint job was horrible. The sales manager apologized and said he would take care of it, so back my car went. This time they removed only about 80% of the over-spray and they said they would re-paint the bumpers; however I do not believe they actually re-painted them. It looks like they just wet sanded them to try and make the paint blend. All this did was leave scratches all over the newly painted bumpers and clear coat. I am a very understanding person, but whoever worked on my car needs to find a new career or go back to auto body school. This paint job is worse than a cheap Maaco job; it looks like a DIY paint job done in a home garage. They left the car covered in wet sanding residue, did not replace all the push-pins in the front bumper, so its now loose. Not sure why they even removed them because its clear they never removed the bumper from the car. I spent 9 hours using a clay bar and polishing compound to try and fix the paint on the entire car. I then had to wax the car to try and get rid of the buffing marks they left with their buffer. The worst part is, somehow they dented and scratched my car below my drivers door. It looks like they hit one of the lifts in their garage. They also managed to break my driver side fog light!!! I epoxied it today, because a new one is over $100. Again the Honda North sales team is great and I would buy another car from them in a heartbeat; however I will NEVER again let their body shop touch my car. I really hope they figure out who worked on my car and either train them or fire them. My car was nicer before I let them touch it. I have a total of 30 hours of detailing into this car since I got it back and it is still not back to factory grade. Customers beware, DO NOT let Honda Norths Auto Body Shop touch your car.

Over the years, my wife and I have purchased multiple cars from this dealer. We also have our cars serviced here. We find them to be courteous, thoughtful and competent. When servicing our cars, they seem to go out of their way to make the experience as comfortable as possible. They try to accommodate your schedule, they usually wash your car free of charge, they offer a senior discount, and they offer coupons for a free coffee, soda or water to customers for redemption in their food area. We are very pleased with their services.

I visited this dealer and as soon as I came out my car door, there was Dave C, a sales associate to greet me. Dave was great! He was so laid back and never put any pressure on me and even offered me advice on different options that benefited me as a consumer. He was nice and attentive to my financial needs. See Dave when visiting this dealer. After, I met with Jameel N, the business manager and he was great. He also smells really good! Jameel was knowledgeable and explained every detail of what offers and rates I was entitled too. He took the time to research better finance options for my new car. He seemed organized and very thorough. There was also a girl name Paige that usually answers the phone and she is very sweet and nice. She makes sure your questions are answered and directs you to the appropriate person. My only complaint about the dealer is that they put an ugly logo sticker on my car without my consent.

We were on a day-trip vacation in Rockport, MA heading home when mist started pouring out of the AC vents. We recently had an issue with similar symptoms with our daughter's car in Florida and it was the engine head-gasket. We checked the GPS and Honda North Danvers was 9 miles away so we shut off the A/C and headed over arriving at 4:55pm on a busy Friday. The service rep (David Cvinar) was just great. He took us in even though we had never done business at this Honda dealer before, arranged for a rental car and we were back on our way home in about 30 minutes. The next day (Sat morning) they had checked out the car and determined that the only issue was that the AC unit was running very well and the problem was just that it was an extremely humid day combined with a highly effecient (cold) AC system and we had the AC venting on the fresh air setting. David clearly explained what was happening (without any condescending attitude found in many repair shops) and returned our car Saturday morning with no charge for the time/diagnosis/explanation. Having been unhappy with the service department at several other Honda dealers, this was a very nice experience for us!

As usual the service at Honda North was very good. Generally when I call to make an appointment for my car, the appointment is immediate. I had to wait two weeks this time though due to the recall going on with Honda. I do not think that these recalls should affect the regular service of our automobiles. Honda should make arrangements so that this is not the case.

Vic is an outstanding service rep. She is always very courteous, professional and keeps us informed as to what is going on with the car. I would say my one complaint is that every time I bring the car in (even just for an oil change) the lights have always been changed from auto to off. I don't understand why the lights have to be adjusted for an oil change, but even if they do, they should be put back to the original setting.

When I pulled in at the Express Oil Change, I was told that it would probably be about 45 minutes as it was quite busy. To my delight, it was done in 15 minutes! Honda North has been my car dealer since 2003 when I bought my first Honda Odyssey.

My daughter and I had ordered a Honda fit and went down to close the deal on Wed 19th. Well I have never met a more condescending financial person in my life....This was my daughter's first experience with trying to purchase a vehicle...We walked in with a preapproved check from our credit union and were supposed to close the deal....The obnoxiouss financial guy I think his name was Jamal looked down his nose at us and said and I quote, "Is that the check? we don't take those checks." He said that their dealership doesn't accept pre-approved bank checks and that we would have to finance through them.... I told him that we were not told this by the other financial person Peter, but all he said, again in a very abrupt manner was that Peter was fairly new and didn't know much....He proceeded to try and do a loan with them, but in the process my daughter wanted to call her dad about it and went outside to do so. The guy said to me and I quote " Who is buying the car? your daughter or her dad." in such a condescending way that we finally told him to forget it and we would go elsewhere for our new car.I have never been spoken to or degraded like this by anyone let alone someone who we were trying to buy a car from. My poor daughter was in tears. He should have been excited to help her and make her experience a pleasant first time one.I would never recommend this dealership to anyone unless they want to feel humiliated and degraded by someone.They lost our business and will lose more as I am posting this letter on various sites so the consumers can be aware of this treatment.Don't get me wrong, the sales person was very nice, but the financial person needs lessons on diplomacy and manners with his customers.I do hope you post this review.

Let me get right to the point. I hate motor vehicles and have considered them a blight on the American landscape, environment and culture for decades. I've proudly bicycled to work on a daily basis for 22 years, a total of about 55,000 miles, and love to see cobwebs between my dashboard and windshield on those rare occasions when I have no other alternative than to use my car. I postponed getting the airbag recall work done on my 2003 Honda Civic for months, until I finally gave in a couple weeks ago. I was ready for a fight because I assumed that when I picked up my car, a Honda North service person was going to tell me how much other work I needed to have done, how it wouldn't be safe to drive it until thousands of dollars of repairs were completed, etc. I was totally prepared to seize on any Honda North flaw and be miserable about the entire experience. Instead, the service department opened at 7 a.m., on the nose, as advertised. Joe Giacometti welcomed me right away like a long-lost brother, did his job efficiently and told me he'd call when the job was done. I jumped on my bike and headed for work. When I returned to pick up my car that afternoon, I connected with Joe again. To my surprise, he didn't try to scare me into unplanned repairs or steer me toward the sales department. He just explained the airbag work that was done, had my car brought up, and wished me a great day. In short, it was an astonishingly pleasant experience. Not just acceptable. Pleasant! Based on that one encounter, if I ever have to have buy another car someday, I'll be heading for Honda North as my first shopping destination. As much as I hate to admit it, it's one very, very impressive operation that defied every negative stereotype about car dealerships I've ever held. Bravo, Honda North. Now, all you need to do to win me over completely is to install a bike rack. Hey, you asked! :)

Honda North has always had high ratings, and the establishment works hard to continue to live up to those standards. Dave, my service rep, was courteous and respectful. Even at the end of a long and clearly busy day, he sat down with me and went over my Level C service point by point, answering any questions I had. Since the service takes most of the day to complete, I took an Enterprise rental car (there's a rep on site). But when I've waited here in the past, I've found it comfortable. On this very hot day, the A/C was at a nice level. The only complaint I have is that the comfy armchairs are all in the area where the TV is on (I find incessant TV in ALL waiting rooms to be pretty annoying). There's a snack bar, and with service you get a voucher for coffee or bottled water. Go behind the cashier's desk to the parts counter and you'll find a rack of really good greeting cards. I enjoy the Maggie Mae's Scrapbook line they stock, and I stock up whenever I go for service. All cars that come in for service get a bath at the end. It's a nice touch to pick up your car and find it all clean and shiny.

My Honda Ridgeline is now 2 years old. I pre purchased a service package which I truly thought I would regret, since I have not used dealership services in the past beyond warranty work. I can say, I have not taken my Honda anywhere else! Even for inspection stickers. The service hours are more then flexible and available. The service team is extremely polite and always with a smile. I have never had a more pleasant, easy time purchasing a new car. My salesman was Jonathan Rennicks. Unfortunately I was very indecisive about the make and model of the SUV I wanted. After spending three entire days test driving and talking with sales people and managers at different dealerships, I was continually drawn back to Honda North. Jonathan was extremely patient with me and knowledgeable about the Honda CRV. He quickly put me at ease. I drove two different models on two different days. The negotiations with Bryan Laskin went extremely smooth. With the many choices of trims, Jonathan was easily able to help me choose the perfect trim for me. He is very personable and never made me feel rushed, no matter what time I was there. The day I actually took my car home I came in contact with many Honda North employees. I came into Honda North to test drive the HRV. I was greeted by Stephen Messner, and immediately knew I was in good hands. He took so much time explaining every detail about the car inside and out, the test drive went extremely well. When we came back we went over numbers, and he took the time to explain my options. I had a lot of questions, another salesperson Dave came by to help. They took a lot of time explaining everything to me in detail. I was on the fence of buying a Mazda, and they helped make my decision very easy. I am confident that I made the right choice by going with Honda North. Extended Warranty Doesn't Exist

The extended warranty is worthless. You will not be able to collect on it because they will only tell you "just do the maintenance". All maintenance for 100,000 miles must be done at their Honda dealership. If you miss one thing, Void! They will not tell you until you need to use the warranty. Guess what an oil change costs at Honda North? $60.00. If you need 0w 20 like my Honda (and any other for that matter) $10.00 more. Do yourself a favor and run, don't walk from this dealership. There are many reputable Honda dealerships in the area. My mistake was I needed a car now and could not wait. Contacting the General Manager or Service Manager resulted in no response. Why? I already bought the vehicle. Hope this helps even one victim.

I have an odd schedule but the hours of the service department are so flexible that I was able to pull in at 7:30pm, without an appointment, and get done what I needed to. I'd been shopping for a specify vehicle for weeks with a competitive dealership closer to home who I'd worked with in the past. They could never seem to find me the right car I wanted at what I felt was a fair price. Out of frustration I finally pursued an online quote from a couple of other Honda dealerships and Honda North responded back right away confirming that they had the exact vehicle color/model combo I was looking for, in stock. They then came back with a very competitive price that really caught my attention. Thinking this was too good to be true I drove down for a visit, and was very pleasantly surprised. Although they were a smaller Honda dealership than the one I'd gone to the past 20 years they had better inventory. The salesman I worked with Jeffrrey Mayi although new to the job was very knowledgeable and a true pleasure to work with. The only experience I found less than excellent was the valuation of our trade in and a very disturbing comment from the used car manager about what would probably happen to my wife's 10 year old Odyssey minivan. Everyone else though exceeded my expectations.

I financed a certified used vehicle from Honda North in May 2015. I got a better deal than any other dealer in the Boston area, and they were kind of enough to deliver the car to me out-of-state (after some resistance on their part). Unfortunately, upon delivery of the car, the dealer failed to bring the bill of sale or a second set of keys. The tank was also only half full. Two weeks later, I am still waiting for my bill of sale to arrive in the mail. I am also told I will have to get another set of keys made own my own and send them a receipt for reimbursement since they cannot locate the extra set of keys. I am happy with my car but less than pleased with all of this extra work after purchasing my vehicle.

I was in the shop for reoccurring issues related to TPMS tire pressure sensors malfunctioning. After learning of the persistence of the issue, the service manager set out to once and for all find and eliminate the issues. In order to spend the necessary time to carefully check the senors, Honda sent me home with a rental car free of charge so I could get on with my day and they wouldn't be rushed. Once they discovered the issues, they fixed them and then carefully checked them to make sure the problems didn't return. It wasn't ideal that I had to come back so many times, but I am very pleased they made everything right. No one is perfect and this is certainly the level of service I expect from Honda and I am very pleased with it. As long as this is experience I have each time I visit Honda, I will keep coming back.

My Civic was an airbag recall. Bought it used, not from Honda N. so hadn't been there before and had no real paperwork. They did the work in about the time they suggested, did it well as far as I can tell, and were pleasant about it even though I didn't spend a cent. Nice place worth remembering.
