They always go above and beyond to work with me and get my vehicles scheduled in for oil changes/tire rotation and any other services I have ever needed with any of my vehicles I have purchased there over the last eleven years. Service Department

I always go through Holm for services on my vehicle and Chuck is always incredibly helpful. This year I needed to get new tires on my vehicle and Chuck was able to get me in the next day and it took less than an hour for the service. He is by far the best person I've ever worked with in a service department and I always appreciate how kind he is during the entire process.

We moved to Abilene in 2005. A few months later I bought a car from them. We have now bought 2. Service is perfect every single time. Jamie and Chuck make a super team. I know Holms to be honest, and hire folks who are.

Excellent and Professional

I called Chuck approximately 1 month prior to being in Abilene. He attempted to help diagnose the issue over the phone and even ordered the parts ahead of time so they would be ready to install the day before Thanksgiving, when we would arrive in town.Chuck is a very informed Service Consultant whom does his job very well and is extremely professional. We live in SW Kansas and waited a month and a 4 hour drive just so we could take our vehicle to Holm Automotive, where we knew the service and treatment would be top of the line.

Always enjoy my Holm experience

In the past few years, I have purchased 5 cars from Holms--2 for my oldest son and 3 for myself. Hunter has always been the person I have worked with as he always knows what I am looking for after I have told him what I need. I enjoy Hunter's humor, friendliness and friendship. The first cars were Cruzes-one for my son and one for me. These were used cars, in good shape with low mileage. The third car was a Spark which replaced a pickup and it is the car that I use for work. Alas my son had put on a lot of miles on his Cruze and we traded it in for a 2016 new Cruze--yes we like the Cruze. Recently I was considering trading in my and I leased a 2017 Cruze hatchback. WE both are happy with our new cars. Let me also say that when we have had problems with a car--this includes the ones we have traded in, we have always received good service. Do I like doing business with Holm Automotive and working with Hunter to find the right fit? YES!

I was driving across the country from CA to NC and hit a racoon just outside Abilene. My chevy cobalt was undrivable but I had to get to NC and could not wait for the car to be fixed. Holm Automotive went above and beyond in their dealings with my insurance company and even drove me to a car rental place to get me on my way. Love this dealership

This is the most honest dealership I have ever been to!! These people are easy to work with. I got everything I wanted and more. David worked very hard to get me in the vehicle I wanted at the price I needed. This is the second car I purchased with him.Chuck in the service department made sure I got the Remote start and the CD player that was a must. He went out of his way to make sure I was not without a vehicle while mine was being serviced.

Best Car Dealership !!!

This is the most Honest car dealership I have ever been to. These people are easy to work with. I got everything I wanted in my vehicle and David worked very hard to get me what I wanted.I needed remote start, I got It. I wanted a CD player, I got it. Chuck Loader went over board to insure I got what I wanted. He even picked my car up in Clay Center and took it to Abilene, and brought it back to me.Love this dealership!!!

Warranty Work

I had to take our vehicle in for a recall. I was going to be in Abilene that day for a work related purpose and asked if it would be possible to get it done that day to save an extra trip to Abilene and they worked it out. They gave me and a fellow employee a ride to where out meeting was and then called me as soon as the vehicle was done. I feel that they went above and beyond to make things work with my schedule.

New Tires and Alignment

Very professional group of employees, Chuck Loader is who I mostly dealt with today. He did a wonderful job and is always very friendly and professional.

Body Work/Oil Change

This was a very smooth process. Took my car in for body work. The rental I was given was wonderful. My car was done in a reasonable amount of time and they were even able to do an oil change for me before I picked it up. Great experience!

Customer service and timely completion

On 17 October 2016, I took my car in because I was having battery issues. I did not have an appointment. Chuck Loader took care of me immediately. I was able to wait while the service team determined what the problem was. I was advised that I needed a new battery. I gave permission to replace the battery. My wait was reasonable especially considering I did not have an appointment. Thank you Chuck for your excellent attitude. It is always a pleasure to deal with this service team.

Always a pleasure

It is always a pleasure doing business with Holms. They offer old fashion excellent service which is a rarity. Someone was sent to pick me up so I could drive my new car home. They took the time to show me how to use some of the technology and sat up my cell phone on Bluetooth and set up OnStar.

My review

They made me feel very welcome the minuet that I walked in the door. They were all so knowledgeable and answered all my questions and if they weren't sure of the answer they would go find someone who would know. They gave me a fair price for my trade in and took my old car even though it wasn't worth hardly anything.

Always treated with courtesy, friendliness & excellent service! Could go to the local dealer, which would save mileage & time, but don't mind the drive to Abilene because I know I'll be pleased with the experience.

Great Service

I scheduled an appointment to have my car serviced and thought it was on Friday but email confirmation showed Sat. When I called to check it was on their books as Sat but Jamie told me to bring it up and they would work it in. I was expecting to have a longer wait but it only took them about 45 minutes to change oil, rotate tires, and do the inspections. I always get very good service from the team in the service department. They always treat me very well.

NEW TIRES

I Shopped all over Saline and Dickinson Counties for new tires.I knew they would be expensive so I wanted to get the best price. Im not married and I dont know alot about tires so it was confusing.When I called Holm and priced some tires they gave me a price but said they would match a lower price if I found one. I found a lower price so called back and talked to Brad Signer in parts. He was very helpful and spent some time on the phone with me.Since I found a price about $50 less than theirs I really didnt expect them to honor it.Brad said they would and even printed the info off the computer for me regarding the lower price.I didnt know how many tires I needed so he told me to bring it to the service department, which I did. I was helped there by Chuck Loader who also checked on the lowest price and matched it. He also checked my tires and showed me why I needed 4 tires.He also saved me money on the alignment by finding a coupon.My experience with Holm was very positive and I plan on being their customer in the future.

Oil Change becomes a bigger issue

For the past 6 years I've taken my vehicle to Holm Automotive and requested the help of Chuck Loader. He is a very helpful consultant that is always looking for ways to help make sure my car is running well and able to get back out on the road quickly. Most recently, I took my car in for an oil change and he contacted me and said I needed new brakes and tires in addition. While that wasn't great news, Chuck took an extra step and was able to save me some money by price matching the tires. I've always felt like Chuck and the rest of the staff there at Holm Automotive are fair and want to do the best by me. They truly care about their customers.

Fair, no hassle, works with the buyer

We have returned to Holm Automotive each time we have wanted to trade for a new or used vehicle for many years. Our recent trade was for a leased vehicle instead of ownership. Jeff Holm explained the new process and answered any questions we had. We feel we were better with a lease rather than buying a car. Jeff was diligent in searching for the kind of car we wanted. We are happy with the trade in and the second Equinox we now have in our garage. Corey Neufeld took the time to explain any questions about finance since the lease program was new to us. We plan on making out next trip to Holms in Abilene when we feel need a different vehicle. We know they are a fair and friendly dealer. We know of no better.

Excellent Experience

Our first service appointment was an excellent experience....it could not have been a more friendly and informative appointment. Besides the routine appointment, we had a question and the service consultant did some research to see how to fix the problem. Our only issue....when we picked up the car there were a couple of grease spots on the passenger seat and passenger front door. I was able to clean them up easily.

First visit but won't me my last.

This was my first time to deal with Holm auto and with Hunter. Both turned out to be very good experience. We knew we wanted a Buick Enclave and when we got to Holm and found the selection was amazing. They had both 2016 and 2017 models to choose from so it was one stop shopping and Hunter was very easy to work with. We were in and out in less then 2 hours and we are very happy with our purchase.

2015 GMC Terrain SLT

When I first started looking for a vehicle, I was more into a car.. then trucks.. back to cars.. then to an SUV. Hunter stuck with it the entire time and accommodated to my crazy schedule so I could drive each vehicle I was considering until I found the perfect one. We broke down with a Dodge Motorhome and even though they could not assist us with the repairs they helped in everyway possible to call others, put the computer code sensor on the unit to help diagnose the issues and showed a strong caring attitude about our dilemma as strangers from miles away . This even though we would never buy a car from them because of our distance . There was nothing to gain but to help those in need. Service That Does Not Disappoint

Since the purchase of my car in Aug 2015, I returned to Holm's to retrieve my traded in car (see earlier review re sales), for two oil changes, key fob replacement, reprogramming part, body work, and a recall. An important note is that I live in Manhattan 18 miles NE of my job site and Holm's is further west by 26 miles. They replaced a fog light without charge which they felt they should have caught when prepping the car for sale when I came back to retrieve my trade-in. At one point, one of the receptionists went out of her way to help me get my insurance paperwork from my agent. They had a loaner available for me when I had oil changes/reprogramming so I could visit family in Salina (if I wanted to) and offered to get my car to me in Salina. They met me at my job site before and after work for any of the other work they did for me. They replaced the spare key fob which we had not noticed was not a Buick key fob without charge. When programming the key fob an error code came up. They did not say anything at the time but simply ordered the part then called me up to let me know about the part which could affect my air conditioner later down the line and explained the error code did not appear at the time they prepped the car for sale and made good on what needed to be done without charge. I thought that was great when you consider that my air conditioner could simply have gone down and I would not have any the wiser. Dede in the body shop was equally accommodating with working around what was convenient for me and ensured I had a loaner car for the time it took to do the paint job. When I have chosen to go to the dealership and wait while having my car serviced, the staff has consistently been as attentive as when I first walked in the door in 2015 (not only attentive to me but to everyone who happens to be in the waiting area as their vehicles are being serviced. Though taking care of one's car might ordinarily be high on one's list as a fun thing to take care of, it is a pleasant experience when you go to Holm's.....they even have free wi-fi. After more than a year of interaction with Holms, I think they have been very consistent with their service and taking care of their customers after the initial sale. Last, but certainly not least: Greg in Service makes you feel like you walked into the bar in an episode of Cheers.....big smile AND he knows your name.

my car

I'm in my 50's and single. I had no credit history, therefore no one would finance a car loan for me. The guys at Holm Auto worked hard getting payments I could afford, and the finance company would accept. After 3 long weeks of trying every car dealer within a 100 mile radius, Dave and Corey contacted me from Holm Auto. They had worked very hard, crunching numbers and working with the finance company and I, so I would have a dependable vehicle to replace my old, money hungry car. Pat helped me thru all the paperwork and I drove home in a brand new vehicle that I'm going to enjoy for a long time.

A routine visit to take care of scheduled maintenance turned into an adventure when tornado sirens sounded. On more than one occasion I have sought services through (very) local and even national GM resources, only to be refused, let down, turned away, and disappointed. Then I found Holm Automotive. It is a 30 mile drive to get there but worth every mile. Every time I walk in the dealership I am met by professionals who seek to provide me with what I came for. From the service counter, parts counter, and body shop they have all jumped through hoops, at little or no profit, to meet my demands. If you want good Chevy you just have to go to Holm. Great Customer Service

I like most work the normal day hours that the dealership is open and was not able to get my car to the dealership. Chuck arranged for my car to be picked up at my place of employment and had a loaner / rental dropped off to drive while they serviced and did some warranty work on my car. When it was complete they delivered it back to my work and picked up the dealer loaner. I appreciate this personalized service and is a reason I continue to buy from Holm's and have all my vehicles serviced and repaired there.

Coming home to trade

We have moved to New Mexico recently and had been trying to upgrade our pickup. After about 3 months of unsuccessful attempts, we were back in Abilene on business. I scheduled a service on my 2014 Cruze for 15 Sep 16.When I arrived for my scheduled service I was greeted with a smile by Chuck and he was very courteous and professional got me checked in right away. My experience was wonderful. Once I decided on the vehicle I wanted they made everything so simple and the paperwork was done quickly and painlessly.

We were just passing the abiline exit when we had a tire blow out. We just made it to the service door when the tire went completely flat. The serviceman Greg. bilderback was all smiles and assured us he could take care of the problem quickly and that we would be back on the road in no time. Since we had an odd tire size that they didn't carry he would be glad to get one from junction city in less than 30 minutes. He knew we had a special family event in a short time in Kansas City. In less than an hour we were happily on our way. As we waiting in the waiting room we were offered refreshments. All associates that passed us by always had a smile on their faces. That just tells me it would be a good place to work where people liked this job. This dealership as a great team !!!

Needed maintenance and new tires and small problems.

I had water slushing inside my rear passenger door, They fixed it, a clogged drain, it must have been dog hair. The passanger side mirror stopped folding in when the switch was pressed, they fixed that at no cost. Chuck kept me informed on the progress of my truck while I waited. A nice thing to do.

Last minute service

I needed an oil change and happened to be coming to Abilene for a couple of hours. Mindy and Chuck were able to work me in with no problem. Great service and price.

Genuine customer service

Dave Surritte went above and beyond in helping us in our car purchase. We actually finalized the sale while tornado sirens were blaring, so he drove to our house the next morning to help teach us all the bells and whistles. Everyone in the office was very friendly as well that we visited with during this experience. Highly recommend!

quick, efficient, and professional!

I needed a new car battery on my Toyota Avalon. Rather than drive 25 miles to the Toyota dealership, I called Holm Automotive. I called at 5 p.m. and got an appointment for the next morning. They already knew that they would need to procure the battery from a local automotive parts store, as they don't stock Toyota items. That didn't prevent them from giving me an almost exact estimate of the cost and also promising the care would be ready by lunch. The cost was indeed spot on and the car was ready at 10 a.m., 2 hours early.I will definitely go to Holm Automotive in the future.

City girl, treated right

A woman, from a huge city , from way up north, I expected to be drug through the ringer. I was not.. My problem was assessed ( covered under extended warranty) they didn't accumulate more problems to make more money. Great Service

The service department was very helpful. Had to have a turn signal light changed and need to make an appointment for an oil change. They changed the light and when I went to leave, they notice that the water pump might be leaking. They took care of that when they changed the oil. As I was making a trip to Kansas City the following day, I am so thankful they noticed this or I might have been stranded along the highway some place. Superior Service Department

I have purchased my equinox from the dealer ship in 2012. I have taken it back for routine services. Jamie Avers had detected an issue with my vehicle and explained to me I detail what had happened and that it was under warranty. I live 45 miles away so he allowed me to take a rental car home for the weekend. Everyone has always treated me with a warm welcome, honesty and respect.

My Truck broke down on Freeway and they sent a tow truck to pick me up, Chuck Loader was absolutely great, they didn't have the part I needed so they ordered it and Chuck gave me a loaner car to drive to the hotel and go sight seeing, he also called the hotel for me to make sure there was a room. Then when the part didn't show the next day, they apologized and felt really bad, When the part finally arrived they had my truck done in a few hours and they even gave me a discount on the part. I called late Thursday afternoon, my Chevy Cruze was acting up. Chuck had it in the shop, fixed the problem AND had it serviced within and hour and a half on Saturday morning.

Great Customer Service

Had to jump start my car this morning, drove straight to Holm Automotive Center. The service manager, Chuck Loader, met me at the door and listened closely to my interpretation of the problem. Chuck took the car into the shop, without an appointment, and found the problem. Chuck verified that the issue would be covered by the warranty and proceeded to make the fixes. While the car was being repaired I waited in the very comfortable lounge area that Holms Automotive has. used pickup options wanted

I liked the used Ram pickup Holms had on their lot but wanted running board and brake control on the pickup. The deal we agree on was to add the options to the truck. They install very good quality running boards timely for our vacation trip and had the brake control added when parts became available.

Took care of my emergency

I started my Monday with a dead battery in my car. I was able to use a personal set of jumper cables to get it started and drove straight to Holm Automotive. They provided me with a loaner vehicle to get me to work and my car ready to be picked up by 11:00 a.m.

Car trouble by Abilene on our way to KC with the grandchildren brought us to Holm they were kind and set us up with a rental so we could finish our trip and checked out our car while we enjoyed our time with the grand kids. We were in the process of look for a new car so we had an idea of what we wanted we never felt pressured and tried out several before we found the right one for us. Chevy Equinox-Holm Auto-Chuck Loader

I recently bought my Equinox at a dealership in Olathe, Ks. I took it to Holm Chevrolet in Abilene, Ks to address a recall issue. Chuck Loader heard a sound in my engine that I assumed was a normal 4 cylinder sound. After running a diagnostic, he told me that my engine needed some work...extensive work. They got right on it...made sure it was covered under the warranty...and got it fixed in two days. It runs perfectly now, and the engine sounds like it should. They also hooked me up with a loaner to drive while they repaired my car. Chuck (and the staff at Holm) were absolutely excellent and kind. Amazing and friendly!

I had a great experience with this dealership. If you're wanting people who take the time to make sure everythings perfect, that you understand everything, and not make you feel inadequate, this is the place. I'm only 22 years old and this was my very first auto purchase, safe to say I didn't have a clue what I was doing and was a little intimidated. I didn't need to be tho. I went in the first time on a Saturday and talked to two different people. Sales guy and financial department guy. Both were very friendly and didn't make me feel uneducated at all. In fact the financial department guy complimented me on the fact that I was asking great questions and seemed to know a lot more than most who come in. And not once did either of them make me feel unworthy or irrational for buying a practically new Cadillac at 22. Which to me is a very respectful thing. I had to think some things over and discuss with my fiance and parents so I didn't end up getting it that day. But I make an appointment for the Wednesday three days later. I came in, they had my Cadillac all shined up and looking pretty and we sat down and finalized everything. They also closed at 7 that day and were happy to stay later to finish everything as I didn't get there until about 6:20. Overall it was an amazing experience and encounter. The people there are all very friendly and I can't brag about them enough. Definitely a 5 star experience that I will be recommending to many others.
