Horrible service. The GM himself took me outside and berated me after I demanded they repair the scratches their detail shop left on my 740. This being after they had my car for over two weeks and I patiently waited for them to correct their wrong. They called me three times saying it was fixed, only to find they tried to camouflage the scratches with a hand wax rather than actually try to fix it. He said that I was one of those customers that can never be pleased. He even attempted to say he was no more liable for damages to a vehicle by their car wash as a commercial car wash owner is when you use their service.

I just purchased my second used car from Hilton Head BMW.. I was treated with the outmost respect. My first car that i bought from HH BMW was without a doubt a great deal!! It just turned 100,700 miles and i did not have one problem with it.. It really pays to keep up with the maintenance of your car.. I am 100% sure that this will be the same with my second car that i just purchased..Timmy is a great salesman and did everything for me.. Steve Multop, the General Manager, is the best!! and i have to give big shouts out to the finance director, my salesman "Timmy", and everyone that participated in this great experience of mine. Thank you again. The employees are there for you no matter what!!!. Thank you Stephanie for your help as well as Brittany!!!!

I have been to many dealerships in Savannah GA and they all use the same pressuring tactics to make a quick sale and/ or try and talk you into something you don't want to begin with. With BMW in HH it was a pleasureable experience from the moment I pulled up. No slimely sales guys trying to sweet talk me but genuine gentlemen that understood what my intensions were. Only place to go and worth the travel! Next time I am in the market for a new car this is where I am going.

It is with the utmost pleasure to compliment your sales representative Stephanie Sullivan. I had the opportunity to purchase the very same vehicle in Melbourne, Florida and almost did! The deal breaker in Melbourne was the sales agent, his continuous BS and pressure but mostly,his inability to understand my wants and needs Their vehicle had less miles on it and certainly Melbourne was a closer BMW Dealership then Hilton Head, a six hour trip away. However after talking to Ms. Sullivan on the telephone and explaining my wants and needs, I felt she had a legitimate, concerned for my demands and without showing doubt as to the distance relationship, she exhibit herself has a sincere customer dedicated sales person. With no pressure or hassles, she answered my questions and concern and made every attempt to meet my needs both, in a vehicle and within my financial objectives. This was our first purchase of a BMW. So we did not want to get ripped off my a overzealous salesman. Enter Jerry Mitchell, who made the whole thing great. He was knowledgeable and friendly and explained all the features of our vehicle. This is used vehicle, but in the near future, we will return and purchase a new BMW. Everybody that had to do with the purchase of this vehicle was great. So we will travel from Savannah, Ga again for this dealership.

I have to start by saying I am not a person who writes reviews but felt I had to share my positive experience. We initially purchased a 328i from BMW of HH and within a few months came back to purchase a 645ci. The second vehicle was not planned but the service, hospitality, and quality of the initial purchase had us change our second vehicle as well to a BMW product. Both vehicles were presented with a detailed inspection report (performed by the dealership) which gave me confidence in the purchases over any of the other dealerships I dealt with. Working with the sales department was extremely comfortable and I even had the opportunity to speak to several others that had history of the vehicles. I would strongly recommend you consider this dealership if planning to purchase a new or used vehicle. Ask to speak with Jim Gray in sales as he is a top notch professional (who I worked with in both purchases). At the end of the day, we didn't feel pressured or forced into a decision. This is the second CPO BMW we have purchased and we felt the CPO BMW X5 was our best value proposition for us financially. We will definitely recommend Hilton Head BMW to our friends and family. I had a rear brake job, among several other things. When I picked up my car I did not receive the $50 discount promised in the circular I brought in with the car. I went back to the dealer and was promised a refund. A month later I have not received anything and my three emails to the service manager, Greg Freeman have all been ignored.

I had flown in from out of state to look at a used car. I knew that this could be risky but, ultimately, was very pleased with my salesman and this dealership. They could have easily taken advantage of my situation but didn't, and I felt I had been treated very fairly and got a great car at a great price! I think good reputation is important to this group and they deserve it!

We got as far as finalizing the paperwork and about to sign before handing the keys over. I spoke with the used car manager throughout most of the transaction. So the day before, when we were negotiating on the price, Mr. Higginbotham was very willing to discount $500 without much problem. It was a very specific, yet desirable car, so I didn't want to push too far and lose the deal. I agreed at total of $700 discounted. When they were very briefly going over the total sales price, I notice the $500 dealer fee was added on top of the negotiated price. No big deal, right? Wrong! I didn't know it at the time, but when I was reading the fine prints at the bottom of their website classified page, it clearly states that the dealer fee is included in the listed price. So when the used car sale manager, Mr. Higginbotham was very willing to discount the $500, it was just added right back through the dealer fee. This is ILLEGAL! it is an attempted fraud trying to double charge on the dealer fee.The problem isn't just the fact that the total price increased by $500. It is that the sales manager deliberately double charged on the dealer fee by including it on the advertised price and again in the final value. Dealer fee is a regulated value that the State of South Carolina sets. Hilton Head BMW is allowed to to charge up to $500 in dealer fee. The craziest thing is that Mr. Higginbotham told me in our last conversation that during his 2 years at Hilton Head BMW, I was only the second person to bring this up! Yikes! How many people have this sales manager and this dealership defrauded? I understand it is not a large amount, but their nasty (and illegal) sales practice steered me away from signing the papers. I ended up purchasing a very nice M3 elsewhere. For those who've purchased a vehicle from this dealership, I recommend that you check the detailed break down of the final price. If you negotiated down on the price, see if the amount is added back as the second dealer fee. If you're displeased with their sales practice and wish to take further actions that will have an impact, call BMW North America. Request to provide a survey that reflects their sales practice. Unfavorable surveys through BMW North America will cost them sales bonus that BMWNA provides to Hilton Head BMW. I am honestly disappointed at this dealership. I might have expected these dirty sales tricks from sleazy used car lots, but not from a branch of reputable franchise dealership like Group 1 Automotive Inc.BMW North America: 1-800-831-1117

I'd seriously think twice about getting your car serviced at Hilton Head BMW. The quality of service from the Service Department has fallen off considerably in the last 2 years. Details of my last 2 interactions with HHI BMW: 1. I call & get their call center and explain that I'd like to make an appointment to get my car serviced and explain exactly what I would like done. They say no problem, just drop off the car early in the morning with the keys in it and they'll take care of it. Then I get a call THREE DAYS LATER from the dealership asking me why my car is in their parking lot!!!!! 2) I have their mailer coupon for a oil change/basic servicing and to get a new front windshield cowl. I drop off my car on Sept 30th and they say it will take 3 days for the parts to come in/install. 4 days later I call and ask when my car will be done. They ask me what it was that was supposed to be done and explained that the guy handling my car in the services dept quit/no-showed and that they're not sure about my car's status. They then call back to say 2 more days. I come in, pay. and get in to leave only to find that the velcro on my floor mats have been ripped away from the bottom and the gear shift knob is just dangling on the top of the shifter. I go back in with the knob in my hand asking what's is going on. "I'm not sure...let me check." The services mgr comes back to say, "Oh...yea. They never mentioned to me but they broke the knob and we're ordering you another one. We'll just attach the broken one till it comes in. It will be coming from New Jersey so it make take a little longer. I'll call you PERSONALLY when it comes in." 3 WEEKS LATER WITHOUT A FOLLOWUP CALL, I have to call and ask the status. They tell me they don't know which knob was to be ordered because there are 8 others in their computer system. They need me to take pictures of the knob and email them or just bring my car in again so they can see which to order!!! I send my father in with my car and the services manager tells him he will PERSONALLY call me when the parts come in. The services mgr then calls me at home and reiterates that he will PERSONALLY call me when the parts arrive. It was DECEMBER 26TH AND I STILL HAD NOT RECEIVED THE GEARSHIFT KNOB OR THE NEW FLOOR MATS WHICH THEY BROKE! I HAD YET TO BE CONTACTED BY ANYONE AT BMW. NO FOLLOWUP CALL BY THE SERVICES MANAGER FOR OVER TWO MONTHS....NOTHING!!!! Like I said....think twice before you get your car serviced there.

My wife and I had the pleasure to be greeted at the door by Vertus Herron who met us with a genuine smile and offer to assist in our search for a vehicle. We had previously done a bit of research on a couple of vehicles that the dealership had on its lot and asked to check out one in which we had a specific interest. Mr. Herron was most accommodating offering to drive the vehicle up to the front of the showroom to prevent us from walking back and forth to where it was parked. After looking it over, he suggested we take it for a test drive to see what we thought of it. I thought it was admirable that he felt he didn''t need to join us as we took it for a spin. Upon our return, he allowed us as much time as we needed to sit alone in the vehicle to digest everything about it before offering to answer any questions we might have. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the vehicle, knowing personally the former owner and the care he took of the car. Once my wife and I decided to make an offer to purchase, Mr. Herron promptly brought his sales manager, Steve, into meet us and from there it was a simple process of arriving at a mutual sales price. There were no pressure tactics, just simple business discussions in getting to know us and our desires. The transaction was completed in fairly short order. In the process, we were introduced to the finance manager, David, who, as I learned in very pleasant conversation, that we both had mutual contacts in another city. The entire process from start to finish was pleasurable and Vertus, Steve, and David each made a special effort to make our purchasing process simple, accommodating, and effortless. These folks are quite professional and make the decision to buy a vehicle much less demanding for the purchaser. I would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from this dealership because of the manner in which they respected or needs/desires and how they handled the entire transaction.

She answered all our questions and spent the time it took to order all the things we wanted on the vehicle. Ordering a vehicle is a whole lot more complicated that just buying off the lot and Stephanie guided us through the process extremely professionally. Our experience with several of the other folks at the dealership was just as satisfying and made us true BMW converts.

From the moment I walked into the dealership, I was greeted by the friendliest sales staff I have ever encountered. Hilton Head BMW was by far one of the best dealerships I have every worked with. I have bought a number of high end cars over the years and have traveled all over the country to find the right car for the right deal. I contacted Hilton Head BMW in regards to a car I wanted, which only 9 were for sale throughout the entire country, and spoke with Tim Lawrence. Tim was a great representative of BMW. I dont want to call him a salesman since he never tried to sell me the car. Instead he was very quick and attentive with every question I asked via phone, email, and text. I was basically buying this car sight unseen from sever hundred miles away. Tim provided all the information I requested and then some. When I arrived at BMW the morning of my purchase I was greeted with a smile and a hand shake as if we had known each other for years. The car was in the process of being detailed and Tim walked me through the maintenance shop and back into the detail shop. As I walked through both shops I was greeted with smiles and handshakes from other employees, none of which knew who I was or what I was there for but were all very professional towards me. As a servicer adviser, he became the intermediary between the service and parts managers regarding the repair of my 2000 740il. Based on his prior BMW technical experience, he was able to communicate to me what mechanical and electrical issues had to be addressed before beginning any work. He presented to me the estimated cost of the repairs after speaking with the automotive technicians, Ken the shop foreman and Jason Burns who did an excellent job. Much to my surprise, my 2003 X5 required significant mechanical rehab recently. As a new "BMW owner", I was a bit reluctant and cautious of what to expect as I literally "limped" my vehicle into their service yard. I had my 2007 BMW M6 through a large repair (new clutch, new transmission, and other things.) Everything was done in a perfect timely manner, and beyond what was expected for both service/repair that I have been used to, not only in other cardealerships, but especially at this BMW dealership. I have previously owned both a 760LI and a 650I convertible, when the dealership was under other ownership.It was a completely different experience to come back this time after new owner has taken over the dealership. Friendlyness of service rep (Dan Ward) and all the explanation of the Master technician/mechanic (I believe his name was Bill) was one of the best car expieriences I have ever had. When I tried to place my order for a 2013 M5, two different BMW sales advisors in Atlanta told me that, in order to have certain options I wanted on my car, I'd have to order those options as a part of a "package." The packages contained some features that I didn't want to have on my car, but both advisors told me that ordering from the packages was the only way I could get the features I wanted on my car because it was BMW NA policy to order options as part of a package--I'd just have to accept the undesired features with the features I wanted. I was not going to order the car at all and was considering buying a car from a different manufacturer after having driven BMWs since 1980 (my last two having been M5s). A friend who works for BMW suggested that I call Hilton Head BMW to see if they could help me with my problem. I spoke to Tim Lawrence, and, within a week, he called to tell me that BMW would build my M5 to my specs. Problem solved!Tim was responsive, professional, helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. It was the most pleasant and quickest purchase of the car I ever had. I found a car I was looking for and contacted with them by email since I was out of country. I got my respond very fast . All my questions were answered in full. I was also able to get REAL deal with the price. They hold a car for me until I came back to the country and I headed directly to Hilton Head to pick up the car. I have made many visits to this dealership over the last five to six years. Those visits have ranged from purchasing vehicles to having service done on vehicles to as simple as having a vehicle washed. No matter the reason for my visit, I have always been treated with courtesy and respect, not only by Tim but also by all the members and staff of HH BMW. They have made purchasing a vehicle a fun experience again. It is not like most dealerships where the sales staff makes you feel pressured or dumb you down by their knowledge of the vehicle you are interested in. It is the only dealership in the area that my wife even feels comfortable to go into by herself because everyone is friendly and makes sure they help you with the reason for your visit. Since HH BMW has become an affiliate of Group 1 Automotive I feel that they now have the ability to find the perfect vehicle (no matter year, make, model, color) for anyone. The last vehicle I purchased from them had very specific details. After only a brief search through www.group1auto.com I was able to locate the vehicle I was looking for. To say the least I was nervous about purchasing a vehicle from Texas by only seeing pictures, but Tim opened up a line of communications with the dealership in Texas and settled all my questions and concerns about the vehicle. The vehicle was transported to Bluffton, HH BMW confirmed the delivery of the vehicle and it arrived in the condition which it was advertised as. When we visited this BMW dealership we weren't sure what brand of car we wanted to buy--just that we wanted a quality car that would fit our travel needs. We had checked out the local Mercedes dealership as well as Audi. (I was leaning toward a Q5). Even though we were shopping for a car for me, my husband wanted to look at BMWs. When we walked through the door of this BMW dealership our sales person, Kevin Payne, introduced himself, asked what we were looking for, had us sit in an i528. I liked the way it "sat" not so much the color. I was also still interested in a SUV. Long story short--Kevin had us drive several different models, and he noticed I preferred white with crean interior. He put us in a white i528 with cream interior, revved up the airconditioner (it is HOT down in Bluffton, SC) and I drove the car. I liked it a lot! Kevin was so patient with all my questions---(ok, it took me 3 hours of his time as well as a large iced tea to finally make a decision) I drove my new BMW home the next day. After that, Kevin called to see how I was doing with the car---Now that is service! Would I recommend this sales person to my friends? You bet!

Working with Bill was a great expeairence. I told him what i was looking for and he hunted it down and emailed me the info. He wasn't trying to push me in any direction I didn't want to go. We had a great experience at Hilton Head BMW. We looked at the vehicles at our own pace, Tim Lawrence was always willing to answer our questions, but didn't try to push us. In the end we got exactly the car we wanted, at a fair price (compared online). Delivery took longer than we would have liked, but that is because we ordered a manual transmission.Highly recommended. This is the third BMW I have purchased from this dealership. The quality of dealers at this particular location, especially that of Bill Riley, is reflective of the quality of the cars they sell. I have previously posted a review regarding leaking hydraulic fluid leaks which the dealership said they repaired but did not, but charged me anyway. I have since taken the car back to Hilton Head BMW. They checked it out and now want an additional $3500 to fix the fluid leaks that they did not fix the first time. They have offered to reduce this amount by the original $460 I paid to fix the leaks the first time but I will still have invested some $3500 (with no guarantee that they can fix the car) in this 12 year old vehicle. As my original premise was that I would not put major money in this older car, I'm pretty much screwed. I now have 2 trips to this dealership, missed a day of work and of course have fluids all over my new home garage floor. I did receive a call from someone in customer service wanting to know how my experience was. After explaining how I was taken for $460 she hung up and haven't heard from her since.I've of course taken it in the shorts over my 66 years by many people, but this one is so "scammy" I have since sent a demand letter in preparation for magistrate court. Letters will follow to Better Business Bureau, Sun City residents, Angies and anyone else that I can find. Seniors should not be treated like this.

I had a xenon headlight acting up. It was turning itself on and off and going bright and dim on its own. I already knew it could be one of three things causing it. Well, it turned out the bulb itself was bad. I had no appointment and this dealership got it in and fixed the same day along with doing an oil change. They did the job right the first time. I was very pleased.
