Not only is the man way overqualified for his job (ask him a bit about what he used to do).. he was friendly, down to earth and I could tell he cared about me as a customer. So much so that he was going to initially turn me away rather than try to give me a bad deal. Imagine that.. a car salesman that doesn't want to give you a sour deal. And if that weren't enough he even took on the role of a father figure to me ..giving me some friendly advice in regards to my future. Advice I really needed to hear. But in a respectful, friendly way. Anyhow couldn't be happier with my new car! Thanks again Bobby!!

Low Pressure, No Hassle

This was my first experience buying a car on my own. The last car I got was obtained for me (used) by family members over 10 years ago, so it was time for something newer. I looked online and found several dealers, but Hertz (Clearwater) was the closest place that had a good reputation. I stopped in to look at some cars and the salesperson working was "Bob" Hamilton. His friendly, chatty, and candid nature made the initial examination process less-stressful, and he gave many tips based on his own personal experiences and observations, and suggested some cars that were dependable and would suit my needs. I did not feel like he was a pushy salesman or that he was going to try to sell me something I did not want; on the contrary, he encouraged me to look around, test drive a car, take it in for an inspection, etc. and I visited the location several times to do these things. I believe I found a car that fit my needs in a reasonable price range, and that the deal I got was good. Bob even went so far as to try to make up for the duplicitous actions of an employee at a different Hertz dealer. I definitely recommend Hertz in Clearwater if you are purchasing a vehicle, especially if it is the first time doing so on your own; Bob is a caring individual and empathizes with young people who are trying to navigate the sometimes complicated car-buying process. 5 stars for Hertz!

Great customer service, no pressure

With my daughter going away to college soon, I felt it was necessary to get her into a more reliable vehicle. Found this dealership on Cars.com and was drawn by the price, vehicle age and mileage. Was impressed with the selection available. Bobby Hamilton, our sales associate, made this one of the least stressful car purchases I have ever made. No pressure whatsoever and he was very upfront about everything. Will definitely be back when am in need of another car.

Great All Around Buying Experience

We happened into Hertz to just look around. Bobby Hamilton greeted us and explained the pricing and allowed us to browse unassisted (unheard of). He answered questions and provided a sheet with info on all the cars on the lot (very helpful). My husband found just what he was looking for and we were able to test drive, purchase and leave the dealership within a two hour time frame. It was a delightful, non-stress, and extremely productive afternoon. What a pleasure to deal with such a sincere, honest individual. We will definitely be back for repeat business as your prices and selection were very competitive.

Good Buying Experience

We bought our Camry after talking with Bobby Hamilton who was a helpful no pressure sales guy. We are very picky car buyers and he explained everything to us about Hertz. We drove as many cars as needed for as long as we wanted. The car we chose had a little dent on the door that was taken care of and we picked up the car ready repair done on date and time that was set.

The BEST Car Buying Experience! 2nd to NONE!

I had found a used car online for my wife, called and briefly spoke to William "Bobby" Hamilton, and headed 60 miles to his location. He was quite busy, and they were a little understaffed, but he did his best to juggle several customers...not allowing too much lag time between each. We were quite upside-down on our trade-in, but he and Sidney Clifton pulled some magic to make things happen for us. They both were fantastic to deal with! They made the whole car-buying process very enjoyable indeed, much unlike all my previous car-buying experiences. They even through some "extras" in that were totally unexpected but very welcomed! I will soon look to buy two more vehicles from them...one for myself and one for my 16 year old son. These guys are the best!!

I looked up my 2013 Chevy Impala on-line and when I arrived at hertz car sales it was parked out front. Mr William Hamilton approached me with a smile and said he was about to close but was more than willing to assist me. I was told he would be there on Saturday and made an afternoon appointment to see and test drive my car. Mr Hamilton greeted me with the keys and off we went on a very good test drive which included some highway travel. I was very pleased with the vehicle and because i was pre-approved Mr Hamilton was sure his financial connections could beat my percent rate. He did, so i signed with one of the approved financial establishments associated with hertz. I would definitely return for future purchases at Hertz car sales.

I was shopping around for a new car since my car quit on me. I had met a with a credit union to get a loan to buy a car from a guy on Craig's list, but I was denied. So I was stuck in limbo with no credit and a few outstanding bills when a friend referred me to Hertz. I decided to give it a shot. My girlfriend and I rolled up to the lot, and were met by a friendly fellow by the name of William Hamilton. He goes by Bob or Bobby. He was honest and straight to the point, which I like. I had dealt with my fair share of shady dealers, and I was very apprehensive, but he eased my worries. The buying process was quick, but it didn't feel rushed. He was sure to carefully explain everything to us in the simplest terms, and any concern we had with the car, he quickly fixed. We didn't meet much of the other staff, but they seemed very nice in passing. All in all, I was very satisfied with the experience. It was quick and easy, and there's no reason it should be any more complicated than that. I was EASILY suggest Bob to a friend, and if i need another vehicle at some point, I'm going to him. I called Salesman William Hamilton before I arrived to make sure the car I wanted was still there. I walked in the door and William greeted me by name. We took the car for a test drive and he was very knowledgeable on the vehicle and knew the history of the car. I had my own financing pre-approved but the dealership matched my credit union's rates so I went with them. The car was detailed for me while I waited and all the staff were very friendly and there was no pressure. Two days to freedom

I have not had a car in 6 years. I would not lie to say I was nervous about hungry car sales persons. At Hertz of Clearwater, it was not what i was expecting. Their was no pressure, no crafty dealing, and 'Bobby" was super stand up! when my loved on and I met him, he told us take our time there is no hassle, no pressure. He was true to his word. He asked questions was super amicable and I had a new ride in two days. throughout the process they even stayed open a little late for us to make sure we were taken care of. if every car dealership was like them buying a car would be so much easier. Me and my mother were looking for a car in her budget I was online for two weeks trying to find a car with low miles and in our price range with lots of space. I went on the internet and saw hertz car sale I like the prices of the cars and the newer year car like 2013 and up my mother in law hates dealership because of the haggling sales people so I talked her in to just coming to see what they had and promised her I would not let them talk her in to buying something she did not want. so we pulled up to hertz car sale and William Hamilton met us outside what a great guy my mother in law love him, he was very understanding that we were on a strict budget and help us find the car we were looking for in our price range. Hertz car sale is very blessed to have a guy like William Hamilton working for them.

Nice Buying Experience For a Change

Bobby Hamilton and the crew at this dealership made what is usually a chore a pleasant buying experience. None of the typical dealership run around, he just showed me the cars I was interested in, got the financing lined up and the car was delivered with the license plates installed and I was out the door ready to go. Bobby didn't try to sell me something I didn't want, he listened to what I wanted to look at and only showed me exactly what I was looking for.

Im a German and I have purchased a Ford Focus from Hertz car sales. William Hamilton called Bob give me a good proposal and take care of all what is needed for registration. the car plate was also inclusive. So I had no need to go anywhere. Bob bring me the car to Ft.Myers. Bob has made a very good job and has answered all my questions I had. I had been looking for a white 2012 Mazda 3 at a certain price and William "Bobby" Hamilton had the car for me the next day at the price I was looking for. When the rims on the car appeared to be somewhat flawed, he put new ones on the vehicle. This salesman was efficient, friendly and accomodating. Best Car Buying Experience Ever

I recently bought a used 2013 Toyota Tacoma from William Hamilton at the Hertz car sales in Clearwater Florida and have never had such a personable and more pleasant car buying service. I have used other car buying services that are suppose to cater to being a military member, but Hertz car sales and their team not only offered a better deal than what I could get through my membership elsewhere, but they were also extremely personable. I drove over 7 1/2 hours from Key West to Clearwater with my two year old to purchase the vehicle that I had never seen or test drove. They did not require a deposit and held the truck for me. They also went above and beyond what was expected when I arrived there by swapping the tires I had on my older Tacoma onto the new Tacoma, as well as ensuring I had the extended vehicle warranty and the truck was cleaned up and looked immaculate. They even went as far as to call me on the 7 1/2 hour drive home to make sure everything was going all right as well as the next day to make sure I got home safe. I would recommend Hertz car sales to everyone looking to buy a vehicle without all the hassle, haggling, and red tape that normally is associated with car buying. These guys are a no nonsense straight forward you get what you see. The price of my Tacoma was considerably less than anywhere else I looked in the state of Florida to as far north as Virginia. I have already recommended my family members to them for purchasing vehicles, and I will be using them in the future for all my car buying needs. Excellent experience

This was the first used car purchasing experience my family has ever done together. A co-worker of mine suggested looking into rental car companies such as Hertz because of price, car condition, and no hassle purchasing. After going to a different dealership first, which was very stressful due to the pushy salesmen and considerably more expensive for a comparable car, we stopped by Hertz Car Sales in Clearwater. Our salesman was Bobby Hamilton. We were looking for a low mileage Toyota Camry which they had several to choose from. Bobby showed us one in excellent shape. The price was very good, in fact we called another dealership who claims to match price but they did not call us back. Bobby was pleasant to work with and the buying processes went smoothly. We were in the market for a used car and we had been looking on the internet. We decided to try the Hertz Used Car Sales. Mark Meadows greeted us and was going to show us cars in our price range. We saw a Nissan Sentra that had low mileage and once we test drove it we knew this is the car we wanted. Mark was easy and very friendly to work with and got our financing where we wanted it. GREAT CAR FOR A GREAT PRICE!!

I was in the market for a new, base model / basic transportation or newer used low mileage car for me to drive back and forth for work..After several days of driving from new car dealership to dealership and my blood pressure about to boil over, my wife and I decided to stop by Hertz Car Sales Clearwater before giving up for the day. We walked around their lot looking at several nice cars (No salesman came outside to "pounce" on us as soon as we got out of our car...very refreshing!!). Some had prices on the window stickers, most didn't. A 2012 Dodge Avenger caught my eye, but the sticker on the window was a bit over what I was looking to spend. It was getting late and I was soon on my way to work...so I stuck my head in the door to ask a few questions, figuring I didn't have more than an hour to waist here and fully expecting the crap I've experienced at all the previous dealerships. Salesman Carl Charles dropped what he was doing and immediately answered my questions, told me not to look at the price that was on the sticker and gave me the actual price...which was well within what I was looking to spend! There was no pressure at all and within a few minutes we were test driving the car. We decided this was the car for us and made an appointment for the next evening to finalize the deal and drive our new car home. I can't say enough about Carl...It was very refreshing to deal with a salesman who was not trying to sell us a car that minute! Now I didn't give the dealership 5 starts because of one thing... All though he was very nice and professional, the gentleman that did the paperwork for the sale, seemed very "put-off" that we didn't buy the premium extended warranty package with the car. Before we left after test driving the car, he offered to see if he could get us a better finance rate than what our bank gave us (Thank you for this)...what he came back with was a higher rate and a longer term that what we were already approved with. The loan he offered had the premium, all the bells and whistles, warranty packaged included. I was not happy that he didn't ask, nor offer any other extended warranty before submitting the loan. I may have opted to add a cheaper package to the car, but because of this, I declined any extended warranty. Besides, the Hertz includes a 12/12 warranty that comes with the car and it also has time left on the factory warranty as well...this was sufficient for my needs. All that aside...I would defiantly recommend Hertz Car Sales to anyone looking for a newer low mileage used car!!! My son will be in the market for something in the next few months and our FIRST stop will be at Hertz to see Carl!

Great Experience!

I just bought a used Kia Optima from this dealership. The car is in very good condition and the price was well below any other dealerships I looked at for the same car. Carl was my salesman. He was very knowledgeable about the car and worked hard to make sure everything I needed was taken care of. I felt comfortable working with Carl and buying from the dealership. I like the no haggle price, especially since it was less than any other prices that I have seen, and there was zero pressure to buy! I highly recommend buying a car from Hertz Car Sales. By the way, I bought a used rental car from Hertz many years ago, and it was a great car. I believe this car will be a good one as well.

Excellent Deals

My salesperson was Mark, and he was very knowledgeable, patient and courteous. They have a great selection of vehicles with excellent prices. Salesman,Carl Charles was also helpful in answering some of the many questions that I had before finalizing the sale. Jennifer Weeks, the finance manager, was also very professional and courteous,making the sale an easy process. This is a no Haggle, no pressure atmosphere,cars are clean with low mileage. The only difference between Hertz Car Sales and most dealerships is you don't get the rude salesmen, the cars aren't overpriced,no flashy showroom with plasma screens,just a nice,clean facility, with great cars.

Mark was courteous, friendly and professional and made the car buying experience far more pleasant than in the past. We were able to find a very low mileage car in good condition at a good price. Did not want to buy 2013 new car, research 2012 Altima with local Nissan dealerships n offleaseonly.com. GM Jerry n Sales Mark were very friendly n professional. Make sure u look at different choices of cars to choose from. So what it is a rental car. Buying extended warranty with it n price still cheaper. A few scuff marks n one set of key, who cares. Picked one with newer tires. As long as it gets me from A to B. would buy from there again n recommend to my friends. Bypass the dealerships n middle man, n buy direct.

I went to Hertz car sales in search of two used cars for my daughter and I. My husband and I went to almost every car dealership and private owner that we could find. We were less than satisfied with the quality of the cars and the customer service that we witnessed at the other dealerships. We were at the end of our rope and ready to give up when we found Hurtz Car Sales in clear water. I met with Albert Dufka and he showed me around and was very easygoing and nice. I did not feel pressured into buying a car right away. He was very patient when I asked questions and changed my mind between cars. I ended up buying two beautiful Nissans from there, a Versa and an Altima. I am very happy with the cars and there has not been any problems with them. The prices are very reasonable and Albert Dufka was easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this dealer to someone who wants a good quality used car and excellent customer service!

The facility was very nice and clean. The salesperson was really knowledgeable and quickly showed me the 3 different vehicles I was wanting to look at. I was in and out in less than 3 hours. Hertz was the only dealership I went to when I bought my car--I thought that buying a car would take days of shopping around, but instead I found a great deal and great customer service on the first try! Mark helped me find the car that was right for me; he was friendly and listened to what I said I liked in a car. They were also extremely helpful in getting my loan to go through, finding the best deal for me and negotiating to make sure it went through. Overall, I was happy with the experience, and I have recommended Hertz my co-workers and friends.

The paperwork process was exhaustive, an additional key should have been standard, tacking on additional service options was not helpful and they should have filled the car up with a full tank of gas. However, John was so friendly and helpful that I would highly recommend purchasing a car through Hertz.

Wonderful Experience

I have nothing but great great things to say about Hertz Car Sales!!!!! My BF had been looking for a Camry for me to buy and we found 2 we liked online at Hertz. My BF and I went to look at the cars and right away we were greeted at the door by name. Our salesman, John was very personable, upfront and a NON-pushy salesman!!!! Our experience here was super fast and the price was unbelievable. The lowest we had found anywhere. We will definitely be returning and referring!!!! Thank you guys!!!! It was a pleasure!
