I had a direct and positive buying experience dealing w/ Rodrigo Sr and his nephew Rodrigo Jr. After talking to several junior sales people I was able to talk directly to Rodrigo Sr and was able to agree to reasonable terms on a car they had advertised for sale. He was very responsive and reasonable in our conversation. He initially offered me a low trade-in value but raised it dramatically when I said it was a "deal-breaker" in my purchase. I arrived to trade-in, pay, and drive away my pre-owned car with only a very positive experience. Rodrigo Jr handled this pick-up/payment day very well w/ friendly professionalism. Reneged on Kelly Blue Book cash offer

I had a "guaranteed" offer for my 2012 Mercedes SL63 AMG through the Kelly Blue Book program. I received an email from Herb Connolly Chevrolet inviting me to bring the car in and complete the transaction. The car is absolutely immaculate and 100% as represented when I submitted the information for Kelly Blue Book to process the offer. (In fact, the mileage is actually not even quite the 12,000 that I provided to Kelly for the offer).Well, I brought the car in today and they wouldn't honor the offer and instead, offered $61,000. No explanation; just an arrogant "take it or leave it" attitude. This is classic bait and switch and I've filed a complaint with Kelly Blue Book, who said that their Corporate Affairs Department would investigate. The dealer is going to take the position that the offer is contingent on an inspection of the car and confirmation that the information provided on the questionnaire was consistent with the actual condition of the car. That's a perfectly reasonable position as I wouldn't expect anyone to be held to an offer without actually seeing the car and performing this verification. In this case, Carter Hastings from Herb Connolly performed a perfunctory inspection of the interior and the only issue he found was a barely perceptible hairline scratch in any otherwise showroom finish exterior and interior. This hairline scratch could not possibly result in a $4,000 reduction in the value of the car. This dealer was obviously looking for some pretense to lower the offering price. In fact, when I spoke with Kelly Blue Book yesterday following this incident, they pointed out that this type of nitpicky defect-finding is not consistent with the intent of this program. The actions of Herb Connolly demonstrated extremely bad faith. These are not honest folks and I strongly urge others to avoid dealing with them.

Visited the dealership the first time and found the vehicle I was interested in. When it came to price negotiation, the sales manager was at a bit more than I wanted to spend. We were in need of a Truck and Lou Bove and Rodrigo Roa were great to work with. They helped us get the vehicle we needed. It was wonderful to be able to buy a new truck.

Wasted my time

I sent in a request for information about a specific truck on a Wednesday. I also stated that I wanted to set up a test drive for the following Saturday. I was contacted very quickly by a person from the internet department whose email stated I would soon be contacted by someone from the sales staff. By late Thursday, I still had not heard from a salesperson, so I called the internet point of contact to ensure my appointment was confirmed for Saturday. She said it was and sent me another email with the names of 4 different salesmen to ask for when I arrived at the dealership. I drove 3 hours to the dealership only to arrive and be greeted by a random salesman who took me to one of the names I was given and he had no clue who I was, nor did he seem aware that I had scheduled an appointment. He told the salesman who greeted me to take care of me. To make matters worse, this man had no idea what vehicle I was there to view, nor did he know where it was. He took me outside and walked all around their lot and could not find it. It was then that he looked in his computer and determined the truck was at another of the company's lots and that lot was not open on Saturday. Needless to say, they wasted my time and didn't even seem apologetic about it.

We were looking for a new vehicle for awhile. Went to Herb Connolly and our salesman was John Gould. Very happy with dealing with him. John was very helpful and knowledgeable. Appointment for check engine light

Edit: the dealer has made great effort to apologize for this incident. I appreciate their attention and apology. I made an appointment online to have diagnostics run on my check engine light. I drive there and they, of course, can't find it. I show them my email that shows them I have an appointment. The guy finally says he will look at it, in 2.5 hours. He shows me a stack of papers and says "I have to do these first." I had my two small children with me. I don't have time to spend hours at a dealership. I have children and this is why I made an appointment. What is the point of scheduling appointments if they mean nothing. I called another dealership who not only took my car, but gave me a ride home so I could wait there since I didn't have an appointment. They Had my car evaluated and fixed within 2 hours.

Wasted my Saturday! Inconsiderate!

On Saturday Sunny and 92 degrees, I called the dealership at 1:00pm to make sure they had a used truck, that I was interested still available. The girl put me on hold and after a few mins told me YES.I left from another state with my wife and son. After about an hour get to the dealership, I spotted the vehicle and went to look at it and on the dashboard was a sold sign. I then went and was helped by a salesperson who was there only a month and had to keep going back and forth communicating through the Sales Manager. I asked when it was sold and she said probably yesterday???? Even with the truck sold she came with a sheet and was only worried about what kind of payment I was interested in. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

I went to herb Connolly needing to trade in a f350 to get into a 1500 Chevy. My credit was not good 580 and they were the only dealer to get the deal done. Love the truck! Service was great, price was right

Unfortunately I was in an accident and needed a new car, after looking for a few vehicles I found the truck I was looking for at Herb Connolly. The dealership wouldn't budge on the price but the salesman was great so was the finance department! Sunny gave me his personal line so I could reach out to him directly, very convienet with my crazy schedule. The car didn't have any floor mats so they threw in a set of generic ones that came in later but overall great experience. Sunny was a wealth of help, I was able to drive the car 50 miles to my mechanic to have it checked out, love the truck! Plus the certified maintenance plan for 24,000 miles. Definitely would do business there again.

Best process of getting a new vehicle by far

The people are great, they make the process easy as can be and they also don't give you any "surprises". They explain everything in detail, down to the fine print. I purchased a new 2016 Silverado z71 and I couldn't be any happier! Definitely will be doing future business with them and I recommend them to anyone.

I went in having already read the Carfax and Kelley Blue Book reports for my vehicle of interest. John Gould was direct, respectful, and kind - making him a pleasure to work with. My only qualms came from the day of purchase (a few days after the test drive) when many things I thought had already been started/taken care of were not even started, thus prolonging my visit that really should have been signing paperwork, making a payment, and waiting for an inspection. I have always had pleasant people waiting on me in the service department. I went in for an inspection sticker and was told on the phone that I did not have to make an appointment. I did not have to wait long at all for the inspection to be completed. I will say I was disappointed I did not get my customary carwash. But on the other hand I did not ask for it

I had an awesome experience with purchasing my car at Herb Connolly Chevrolet in Framingham. We found a specific car we were looking for through their online website and set up an appointment the following day to drive in and see it. Lou Bove was waiting at the door and immediately took care of us. He sat us at his desk, looked up the car we wanted and also showed us a few other options that were similar to our interest. When going outside, he gave us plenty of time to look through the cars, describing each one and comparing the differences. When we were ready to test drive it, he took his time with us and allowed both my husband and I to take our turns with driving. Once we decided on the right one for us, he made the sales part easy for us. Coming from a bad experience with a previous car dealer, I was unsure about how it would go. Lou made the process so comfortable and unintimidating that I cant say enough about him. AWESOME 2016 Silverado 3500 Crew Cab High Country Duramax

Lou Bove the salesperson was extreamly knowlegeable on the truck and its full capabilities. I did look at some other dealers & the sales people were not as well versed in the trucks towing and payload capabilities. I took the truck back to get the sticker a few days later & I had a few questions. Lou come out & went thru every question and the one question he could not answer on the spot, he called me an hour later with the answer he got from the diesel tech. My wife & I had the best car buying experience ever with this group. This truck is a major investment that will last for years & Lou introduced us to the service team that will be servicing the truck, all around a great experience.

Car service - fixing brake noise

I had a difficult to diagnose problem with my brakes. Joe and John worked so well with me to reproduce a problem that only happen after driving at over 55mph for 15 min with the car. Once they got the sound to occur they worked diligently to figure out how to correct the problem. Very professional and conscientious. He even asked me to call him back after I drove it on the highway to make sure it was fixed. When I called him the next day he was thrilled to hear it was fixed. It is so nice to see someone take such pride in his work. Thank you.

Best Car Purchase Experience

My husband and I were on a search for a new Chevy Silverado, and came across some deals that Herb Connolly had at the time. We contact them and schedule a visit. Once we got there we were introduced to Claudio as our sales rep. Let me tell you, he made the visit so smooth and had so much knowledge about his vehicles. We had an awesome experience and the fact that he spoke Portuguese which is my native language, made the visit feel like I was buying a car from a friend. He was calm and patient, even with my 21 month old daughter who went with us. He was able to get us the most for our trade and the best deals that we ended it up buying a better truck the same day of our visit. The day we picked up the car, he explained everything, all the features better than any other vehicle purchases we had in the past with other dealers. I will defiantly recommend Herb Connolly Chevy. All Good, All the Time!!

Bought my pre-owned truck here, all the service is done here and I've always had all my expectations met! It's great having all the trucks service logs available online, that helps so much with all the scheduled upkeep!!

Bait and Switch

Twice now we have made a same day apt. to test drive a truck (2 diff. times 1 year apart) were told vehicle was there available. Show up and both times sold, they will tell you well we sell quick, BS they knew the vehicle was sold and wanted you on the lot. If they sold that quick there wouldn't be all those vehicles on their lots.Both times vehicle was still listed as available on website days later. So they mislead you with their website also so they can "show you how fast they move vehicles", yeah it's called bait and switch or a version there of. So just be aware of it if you go there that you are prob. wasting your time. As for all these great review I would be very suspicious of their source. No more for me, had this done at this dealership and also two toyota dealerships. I will stick to the non brand affiliated dealerships, usually a lot more honest, no annoying salesperson on the test drive (last genius wanted to show me how blinkers worked like I had never been in a car before.

Excellent Service

I have been leasing my vehicle from Herb Connolly Chevrolet for a year now. When I called to schedule regular service I was given a number of convenient drop off times for the same day. I was also informed on the phone that there were 2 existing recalls on my truck and those were taken care of as well. Along with free oil changes, they also washed the vehicle's exterior and even vacuumed the floors and dusted the dash. Joe at the service desk was inviting and pleasant. I would absolutely recommend doing business with Herb Connolly Chevrolet as I plan on doing so for years to come.

I got a very good deal. George Wells was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the 2nd generation Volt. Exchanging the 2013 leased Volt for the new one went very smoothly. I am very happy with the new car.

I recently bought a new 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 z71 thru Herb Connolly. They had an excellent selection at reasonable prices. The truck was sold to me by John Gould, who had a wealth of knowledge on all of the vehicles and was very reasonable in discussing costs and options. Overall John and the rest of Herb Connolly had more of a personal feel and less of a robotic dealership vibe where some treat you like objects rather than people. I am very happy with the service and my new truck and I look forward to working with John and the rest of them again in the future. Highly recommended.

Great buying experience from an out of state customer

I worked with John Gould to buy an incoming 2016 Volt, as my state does not yet offer them. John kept me up to date regarding the anticipated delivery date of the vehicle and also worked diligently with their finance department to get all paperwork complete in a timely fashion so that I could take advantage of the tax credit for the vehicle. Best Way to Buy a Car

My husband has bought 8 cars from John Gould, and I can completely understand why. I've purchased cars through dealerships before but this was by far the most relaxed, quickest, easiest experience I've ever had. Everyone was so friendly, it just made everything so easy.

My husband and I were looking for a vehicle. To be honest, we don't have the best credit out there but we figured we'd give it a try anyways! A friend of ours recently bought a car from Rodrigo and pointed us in his direction. One Stop Shop

My sales person was extremely friendly, accommodating and never pushy when I was looking at the car I was interested in. He was new to the dealership but seemed very comfortable giving me the information I needed and walking me through the process. Anything he didn't know, he made sure to get me the right answer, which I think is a great quality to have. All in about 4 hours they appraised my trade, worked on my loan directly with DCU, detailed the car, transferred my plates and had me back on the road the same day in the new car. Couldn't be happier with the service I received.

Patience Was Key To Both

I had been shopping for over a year. I had a complete onsite inventory from 10+ dealers in ME/NH/MA. This allowed for learning the finer points of vehicle options and associated pricing. Simply put, those dealers with more inventory, were better to work with. George Wells took a personal interest in making this sale complete. I asked a lot of questions about rebates, qualifications of same, producing documentation explaining rebates, and understanding applicability. When it finally came down to a decision of buying in my home state of Maine vs. traveling to MA, George made it worth. He also read my requirements documentation thoroughly and sourced a unit outside of his inventory. During negotiations, as margin gets trimmed the propensity to continue offering incentives diminishes. George hung in there and ultimately closed the deal. Nice job. He's articulate, polite, patient, and returns calls. The more prepared you are, the better they can help you. I fully recommend conducting sales business with George Wells and Herb Connolly Chevrolet.
