Joe Sullivan was great from the moment we walked into the Hingham showroom. Throughout our meetings he wasn't pushy and gave us all the time we needed to make our decision while also passing on some good ideas for us. When we picked up the new car he spent hours with us going over the navigation and all the other wonderful new options that came on the car. I would recommend this sales person and this dealership to anyone looking for a new or preowned car.

There have been very few times in my life where I write a letter of praise to a company regarding service. A company and individual have to stand out tremendously in order for me to do so. My 2004 Kia, I bought from Herb Chambers as well, with close to 200k miles was struggling and I knew it was time to buy a new car. After working a 10 hour day in Newton I raced home as best I could in an hour traffic to Nashua, NH to pick up my boyfriend. We then started our hour and 35 minute drive to your Lexus of Hingham store. Yes, you are reading correctly- it was going to take me almost 4 hours of driving for this entire trip. During the nearly two hour drive to Hingham my boyfriend, who had worked a 12 hour day tiling, kept questioning my decision to purchase from Herb Chambers again. "I can't believe we are driving an hour and a half they can't be THAT good... You might have to pay sales tax because they are in Mass...I am sure we can find a car closer to us!" When we arrived at the dealership we were greeted by a smiling receptionist. We were introduced to Jamal, who was great in bringing the vehicle up front quickly. Obviously I knew I wanted the car after my test drive. Next step...financing. After waiting about 30 minutes my boyfriend was exhausted. We went into Joel DiLillo's office just ready to get this done and drive back home to New Hampshire. Within seconds his high energy and smiling face changed our moods right around! We started talking about our recent move, my past purchases at the dealerships and the Patriots! My boyfriend was very happy to talk.... and talk....and talk ...all about the Patriots that by the end of it I nearly had to drag him away they were having such a great time. Joel said the bank wanted to charge me a high interest rate but he knew someone and was going to call him the next day and try and get me a lower rate. We kept Joel in his office until close to 10pm. He was professional, funny and genuinely happy that we left with a bit more energy than we arrived with. The following day Joel worked on his day off to get me a much lower interest rate and emailed me the wonderful news! He provided us with absolutely incredible service. I am writing mostly because of Joel DiLillo. To say he went above and beyond my expectations would be an understatement. The Herb Chambers Companies are very lucky to have someone so dedicated working for them. He worked tremendously hard to get me the best rate - even though he didn't have to. Joel knew that even if I had to pay a $1200 sales tax or a higher rate that I was still going to buy the car. He is different because he was helping me...he wasn't selling to me. He treated me like a family member - doing his literal best. I can't tell you one company that would have called another business on their day off to help a stranger like that. He could have easily written the deal and been done..but he went beyond what a Finance Director would do. THAT is why I purchase from Herb Chambers Companies and will continue to for the rest of my life; because they hire amazing people like Joel who care. Thank you Herb Chambers and thank you Joel for everything! Oh and by the way...my boyfriend now understands why Herb Chambers Dealerships truly are as he says..helping us buy a car and not just "selling" us one.

From the time I entered the building till the time I drove it off the lot nothing could've have been better. Every person I came in contact with was be on friendly and extremely helpful and courteous. My sales person Eddie Lapanus was so accommodating to me in my 100 questions. I couldn't ask for a better person to deal with me. I will never buy a car anywhere else but there again!!! Also I want to mention the sales manager George and the finance supervisor Donna were outstanding dealing with me also and I'm not easy to deal with, Just ask my wife.

I had an excellent experience at Herb Chambers Lexus in Hingham. I went in to have my 15 year old 350 RX. Fixed and came home with a 2014, ES350. Everyone I met and worked with was professional, knowledgeable, patient and thoughtful. I never felt rushed or pushed to decide. It was stressful because buying a new car is stressful but it was FUN! When I picked up my car it looked brand new! There was not a scratch or a crumb to be seen, I want to thank one more time the team that did everything for me. Tom the service manager provided me with excellent service as usual. He's my number one guy to deal with when servicing my cars. He's attentive to my needs and concerns and address them in a timely matter. I live in Boston and could service my car at Lexus of Watertown but the service treatment I get from the herb chamber Lexus IS like no other so it's worth the drive. We are delighted to take a couple of minutes to give the Hingham Lexus service department a great review. We have been going to the dealership since it opened and had gone to the since closed store in Norwell for the past three plus years. Ricky Medeiros the service director, Paola Tiburcio and Tom McCafferty service consultants are outstanding. They know are names when we drive in, are very attentive, courteous, friendly and genuinely want to take care of their customers. The entire service staff in our opinions make the visit very painless. The vehicle needs the service and yes their is a cost associated with it but we feel the total service experience is outstanding and it is done correctly the first time and we feel appreciated for bringing the car into their store. We have purchased and other family members have purchased new vehicles at Hingham Lexus and would buy there again. If I have a question regarding our cars,my first call is to either Ricky, Paola or Tom. It is refreshing to get honest and straight answers the FIRST time.

I was hoping that Mr. Michael Shafman will see my review of this dealer as I saw your interview on the newspaper mentioning that you do check this website every morning. I would like to express my buying experience at Herb Chambers of Lexus Hingham. I did not expect to have such a bad experience from Lexus and this was going to be my 1st Lexus. Almost bought the car at your dealer but I end up buying both IS350 and the RX350 from elsewhere. I am not trying to get anyone in trouble but I didn't expect to have such service.I almost bought this car(VIN#JTHCE1D20E5001240; 2014 IS350 F Sport) on Monday 4/11/2016, (I did all the paper work and sign the contracts) but I am glad I DID NOT give them the check and I was going to pay this car in full. Because when my dad (mechanical engineer) did the final check on the car and opened the hood and saw there's rust under the hood, the metal above the suspension on the passenger side(sorry if I didn't explain it well), not only that but the passenger door need to be fixed (showed the delivery manager when we go through the car and he agrees that the door is "weird") told the sales person John Martinelli 3 times but he said the door is fine and of course it is not fixed as promised.This car is only 2 YRS old and it is not NORMAL to have rust in that area. Spoke to the sales person (John M.) and the service guy (Andy I believe) I was told that it is normal to have cracks and rust there, and it is just chip off paint and the water went in that area (not sure where the water came from as it is under the hood). I did all the research before buying the car and obviously CARFAX said NO accident. The dealer stated that there's No Accident and only One Owner. The dealer, business manager Kevin is cool to work with but he needs a better team. The sales person John Martinelli is extremely hard to work with. I asked him the features on this car and he talked loud(I'm not comfortable with his tone) and didn't bother to show me the features. Ok, fine so I just did my research online about the car because I really liked the car (Red leather seats looks really cool) I even have to ask Kevin if there's any other sales person that I can work with. Another sales manager Madison Callahan got involved and told me that I can ask for Brian on Monday when I go pick up my car.I clearly asked Kevin through e-mail before getting to the dealer that I would also like to see another model RX350 because my family and I were planning to get both cars. So after the terrible test drive in the IS350 with John, I asked if he is going to show me the RX350 that they have in their inventory. Then he start yelling, I am not exaggerating. But he did yelled and asked "wait, so are you getting the IS350 or the RX350?" so I explained to him I want to see both. So he quickly show me the RX350 but he doesn't even know if that car is SOLD or not. If it is sold, I do not know why he is showing me that car. Once again, he yelled and asked if I am looking for a RX350 base or F sport. But I am new to Lexus model and I do not know what is the different between the Base and F sport. But yes, he yelled and asked " DO you want to see the BASE or the F sport??" and I told him I don't know. He might thinks I am joking around but I am not. I worked full time and I will not spend my time after work to joke around. At that point, I gave up on asking him anything. I didn't want to get yelled at. After Monday, I went to different dealers (Ira Lexus in Danvers; AutobahnUSA; Foley Motorsport; Northborough Lexus) around Boston area and look at different 2014 IS350 F sport and classic ones also spoke to 4 different sales person. All of them said the same thing. It is not "NORMAL" to have rust under the hood, it must have some kind of accident or broke down in the past. But this Herb Chamber Lexus Hingham told me it is Normal. They now dropped the price from $35,398 to $33,998, and this is what they called "Pre-Own Certified" Vehicle? I am waiting for my $500 deposit that I putted down. As they said I can get the refund back if I end up not getting the car so I walk-in and talked to Kevin in person on April 12th, 2016. He did mention it will take 3 to 4 days to process. I waited until Tuesday April 19th, 2016 and Wednesday April 20th, 2016 to e-mail Kevin and Madison and have them help me to check the status for the credit as I have purchase my cars elsewhere and I just want my money back. I decided to give your dealer a call today is April 21th, 2016 because I was thinking maybe there is a disconnection through the internet or if the e-mail access is not available at the dealer and finally received a feedback from Kevin on the phone by telling me that the credit refund form(hand written form) that he submitted on April 12th, 2016 someone have misplaced it so the refund was not process. So I am disappointed that they do not do any follow up for customer that are not satisfy with the service and if I don't give them a call, they probably not going to find out that the refund are not being taken care of.Kevin then took my credit card info through the phone and he said he will process right away. He did forward me the refund notification through e-mail. But I haven't see the refund transaction show up on my credit card transaction details yet. I will give it 1 more day, if I still don't see the refund transaction I will submit a dispute through my credit card company. I was hoping that my 1st Lexus buying experience will be great but I was so disappointed that I ended up have to get both cars elsewhere.

We drove 2.5 hours to see a used Lexus RX 350. We talked to them the night before about it to make sure it was still there. A woman checked to make sure it was at this location. They even called to see if we were still coming in the morning. Once we got there, we were informed they sold it YESTERDAY morning! They showed us a beat up Lexus instead that didn't have anything the other one had. Huge dent, multiple scratches. No trust. If you're far, don't waste your time! Bait and switch! Brian didn't even seem to care that it happened. Bad customer service. Very disappointed. Also after our long car ride home, we noticed it was still on the website so we called to see if it was available. Of course it is! Don't trust them.

I went there on the lease special looking for a particular color for the GS350AWD.I spoke to Jessica on the phone and she told me she had the three colors of choice I had inquired about. I live on the other side of Boston from this dealership but decided to take a ride down. I'm so happy I did! I was introduced to John Martinelli who turned out to be the nicest guy in the world! He knows his cars and he was very helpful. I came in as a client and left as a friend! We talked for hours about not only the car I leased but family, and life in general. I actually met another client of his while waiting to pick up my vehicle whom I had the same experience with! Very friendly woman, we talked for a great length of time about our new cars. I am a third time lease client of Lexus. This was my first experience with Herb Chambers of Hingham. I went there on the lease special looking for a particular color for the GS350AWD. I spoke to Jessica on the phone and she told me she had the three colors of choice I had inquired about. I live on the other side of Boston from this dealership but decided to take a ride down. I'm so happy I did! I was introduced to John Martinelli who turned out to be the nicest guy in the world! He knows his cars and he was very helpful. I came in as a client and left as a friend! We talked for hours about not only the car I leased but family, and life in general. I actually met another client of his while waiting to pick up my vehicle whom I had the same experience with! Very friendly woman, we talked for a great length of time about our new cars. It's just a very happy dealership, although it is a long ride for me, it was definitely worth the extra mikes for the fabulous hospitality. My husband and I cannot say enough about this dealership. We stopped by there last Wednesday to look at their inventory of RX350's after doing research online. Greg Melanson let us test drive a new and a used RX350. We decided on a used RX350 and my husband showed him number of the car we saw online. Greg searched the lot until he found the car. We decided to trade-in both our cars and were given a fair price for both. Brian Connolly ?, the Sales Manager came over to speak with us to be sure we were satisfied and explained that they would Lexus Certify the vehicle. I inquired online about a new 2014 Lexus ES. The car was delivered to Norwell from Sharon and ready to test drive. Luke and I went on a test drive where he answered all of my questions. I met with Luke Borosky, my sales person and we went on a test drive. Luke answered all of my questions and did not pressure me in any way. We got back to the dealership and negotiated a very fair price for the Lexus and a good price for my trade in. Luke had the car ready the following day and even cancelled the plates on my trade in. I bought a 2015 Lexus RX350 last fall and recently had a distressing collision with a telephone pole when doing a U-turn on my street. In addition, there was a significant dent in the left rear, which must have happened in a parking lot, when the car was parked, and I was shopping. Ryan worked hard on getting me the best price on fixing the damage and kept me closely informed on what would be involved in the repair, and when I could expect to get my car back. He was very respectful, courteous and concerned that I would be happy with the result.My car is now good as new and I am very happy :)

I recently traded in my Lexus ES350 for an RX350. My salesperson was Mike Gibbons. I found Mike to be professional, knowledgeable and personable. I have purchased vehicles at the Sharon dealership and was there for hours. He tried to make my transaction work during my lunch hours over a few days which was very convenient for me. I would definitely buy another vehicle at this dealership because he made it easy for me.

About 8 years ago we had a bad experience at a different HC Dealership and vowed never to return to the HC brand. Our desire to procure a certain Lexus, and a convenient location overcame our reluctance to enter the HC Lexus in Norwell. Our initial hesitations were rapidly overwhelmed by a professional, non-pushy, gracious and enjoyable relationship plus guidance from an obviously competent and enabled Sales Team that made the car purchase incredibly easy and fun. The Team of Donna LaRosa and Tarek Mirshak were straight up with information and delivered precisely what they promised. We were amazed at the convenience and the comfort of interacting with these folks. After receiving our car, brief return visits and interaction with Ryan Tierney and the Service personnel like Paula Tiburcio prove to us that this was no fluke ... they are all superb customer-relations experts; we are more that satisfied!

This is only the second time ever that I have written a review regarding service and purchasing a new vehicle. We have been going to Lexus of Norwell for the past year and one-half since moving back from Florida. Ricky Medeiros and his team of Paola Tiburcio and Tom Mc Cafferty are the reason we continue to have our cars serviced and most recently purchased a new ES at Lexus of Norwell. One simply just knows if the environment is right for them when they walk into a new store or in this case a car dealership. The friendly, polite and honest approach is alive and well in the Lexus Norwell sevice center. I casually asked Ricky if he could get me some idea of the value of our 2011 GS 350 while we were in for service. He introduced us to Rocco Saghbini the General Sales Mgr and within an hour or so, my wife and I had a deal on a new 2014 ES. Rocco's no hard sell approach was excellent. We then met Donna LaRosa the Sales Mgr and John Martinelli a sales representative who finished the transaction. All along the way each and every associate was very nice and went out of their way to be helpful. The last person we met was Tim Mullin the Business Mgr. Tim is a very friendly, smart and professional individual and represents the end business process extremely well. All of the above mentioned members of the Norwell Lexus team should be told how they handled our experience. Buying a new car is not in most cases the most enjoyable of times. This experience deserved and warranted the time spent to express our feelings. We strongly ascribe to the theory that if the someone does something well for you, one should acknowledge it. All to often it is only the negatives that are expressed. These folks represent the Norwell Lexus dealership with distinction and please let them know that we would in a heart beat recommend it to friends looking for a new car or honest service. AJ was a phenomenal salesman. I went in to the dealership late in the evening, not really sure exactly what I was looking for or what my options were. He took the time to go over everything with me. We looked at several different cars and he put in extra time and effort into finding exactly what I wanted. I am used to salesmen trying to pressure me into things I don't really want. He went back in forth what felt like 100 times until everything finally worked out they way I needed it to. Throughout the whole process, AJ was so kind and attentive. He did everything he could to make sure I was happy and satisfied. I would highly recommend AJ to anyone who is looking to purchase a Lexus. I just took delivery of my Lexus CT200H. John Martinelli was my Sales Consultant. John was attentive and very responsive to all my questions regarding the car, features and local availability. We traded in and purchased a new vehicle at this location. Our Salesman Marcenel was excellent. He was courteous, professional, pleasant, and was very informative about all the details of the car. I totally forgot my 12:30pm service appointment and called to apologize to Paola and reschedule. I called at about 4:45pm when it occurred to me I had missed it. She said, no problem, we can reschedule you. She asked how far away I lived and I told her about 10 minutes and she said would you like to come in now? I was delighted and she had me in and out in an hour, not the scheduled 90minutes for oil change and tire rotation. Very, very, accomodating and with the service hours till seven it makes it convenient.

I have always owned used Lexus cars. I was thrilled when a dealership opened on the South Shore, as I was driving to Sharon often for service. First and foremost, the service department is exceptional. I felt valued and cared for every time I brought my car in. I recently noticed a used Chevrolet one day when I was leaving the service department. I was due for a trade and decided to visit the sales showroom where AJ greeted me. He is truly a great asset to the sales team at the Norwell location. He took the time to explain my options and the car's features. He automatically provided me with the CarFax and service history of the vehicle. He followed up on every question and concern that I had about my purchase. I would recommend AJ to any of my close friends, coworkers and family. He treated me with the up most respect and a valued customer, even though I was interested in a different brand than Lexus. I brought my RX 330 to Herb Chambers of Norwell for a couple of recall items and an oil change special. The treatment I received was extraordinary - efficient, courteous and accomodating. When I asked about a state inspection, they said they would take the car and get it done for me. They asked if I needed a lift home. They worked on the car promptly. They told me that they provided a complimentary car wash, but they never mentioned that they topped off my gas tank or replaced my dead key battery gratis as well. And Paola was so friendly throughout. Just an outstanding experience.

We have been considering changing cars, after 8 years with our Mercedes Benz, although we were quite happy with it. We looked at a number of options and visited a few dealers. We were not happy with the approach and practices of many of the sales people. Seeing and ad for LEXUS with Herb Chambers, and reviewing their Customer Service Mission, We went to the Norwell Lexus dealership. The greeting and introduction by the Sales Mgr, Donna and the approach of the Sales Consultant Ryan Tierney, was pleasing and straight forward. We showed him the ad, told him what we expected for or trade-in, based on the Blue Book and he took it from there, after some conversation, we decided on a mutually agreeable price. He seemed to have our interest as paramount and did his best to meet them. It was that simple, we signed and picked up our car the next day. Follow-up was prompt and courteous.

We came to Lexus of Norwell looking at a Mercedes SUV but couldn't commit. Once home,we spent some time searching their web site,now looking at the Lexus SUV's. There were several that we were interested in seeing but they were at the Sharon dealership-no problem,Luke drove us there and patiently spent HOURS with us while we looked and test drove. We arranged to have one moved to Norwell for a second test drive and in the mean time a beatiful red RX350 came in to the Norwell location and as soon as we saw it,we loved it and bought it that day. The whole experience was a pleasure and so easy. Not once were we pressured in any way! Vehicle was delivered to us on the Cape and Luke explained everything we needed to know and was available after when we had a couple of questions and even followed up with us a few weeks later. My experience with Herb Chambers Lexus of Norwell was awesome! I went in on my birthday to test drive an RX 350 and fell in love with the vehicle. My sales person John, was great, and everyone in the dealership was friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to find me the color and model of vehicle I wanted. After seeing the vehicle that was brought in especially for me, I changed my mind about the color, and John didn't even blink an eye. They again found the vehicle that I wanted, no questions asked. After I got my vehicle, Steve Flate, the dealership/s technology specialist, helped me set up and understand the computerized features of my car. He was very thorough and patient and I'm so impressed with this service. I did not feel pressured at any time during the leasing process, and was grateful not to be held hostage in the dealership all day. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a Lexus.

I came in 10 minutes before closing and Lucas jumped at the opportunity to help. He sat with me, got my info, and directed me as saw fit into the appropriate vehicle to my liking. We took a test drive and he explained EVERYTHING, top to bottom about the Lexus LS 460. There was quite a lot of info about the new car, and he was more than knowledgeable. After seeing that they only had one 2013 in stock left and knowing it wasnt my color combo of choice we developed a plan to help me in the coming days to find my combo. The manager Donna also came out and introduced herself, she was very kind as well. They both called me daily the next few days. Unfortunately I found a vehicle in my price range with the right color combo in Maryland and decided it was too good a deal to pass up on. So I called them and broke the news, but they insisted that if there was anything they could do in the future to let them know. To me thats a great dealership. Not getting the sale but establishing a great relationship for future business. We found a great price on a used but mint condition Toyota Highlander that the dealership had taken in trade. From the moment we walked in the door, everyone was professional, courteous and friendly. There was never any high pressure, bait and switch, or any other tactic that one might associate with a used car sale. We knew that the price was very fair so there was no need to haggle. Our sales asociate, John Martinelli, was very personable and took the time to be sure that all our questions were answered, and that we were completely satisfied with the transaction. Our request to bring the car to our own mechanic for an independent opinion met with no resistance. When the only suggestion that he had was to install a new battery, it was done without hesitation. Little did we know that this would erase the readings in the car's diagnostic system, which made it impossible for the car to pass inspection without having been driven for a "driving cycle" so that the sensors could take new readings. When John learned of this on the day we were to take delivery of the car, he took it upon himself to drive the car up and down Route 3 so that the computer would reset, and the dealer could complete the inspection and get us the vehicle at the time agreed. Even when we spoke to the finance manager, we were offered a better rate than we could get elsewhere, and although he presented us with many different possible aftermarket warranty plans, there was again no pressure to add any high profit extras. Overall this was a refreshing and pleasant car buying experience at a dealership that obviously values their customers. Highly recommended.

I have to say this was almost a perfect experience. Right from the start when I sent an email request I heard back from Cheryl in minutes followed by a phone call. I ended up making an appointment but decided to go in a day early. We were immediately met by our sales person John and the Manger Chip. Within 20 minutes we were on a test drive. John was really wonderful answering all my questions. He was incredibly open and honest about financing the car, purchasing vs leasing and the value of my trade. Except for a strange momentary hiccup from the manager about my trade value (which was ultimately worked out) we had a great experience. We went over what I was looking for as far as options and we went over several cars that were in stock and those that would have to be delivered. From the moment we entered the dealership we were treated like family. Everyone from the manager to our sales person, Peter Prasinos was professional and informative. Our deal was closed quickly and every detail was addressed. We just returned to install a remote car starter a few days after purchasing and even the service department was phenomenal. Our time spent in the finance department was a pleasure as well. We will be back for a second vehicle soon as this was a truly positive experience.
