I bought a used car for $19000 I immediately figured out that the all wheel drive system was not working. I brought it in and their service department said that it was how it is supposed to be! Frustratedo I took the car home knowing that it had problems. I took a video of it spinning the front wheels only. Then they admitted that yes it was not working. I said that they should fix it, they said that I should have bought an extended warranty! I said they should not have sold a car with drive train issues. After arguing about it with the general manager (who magically knew what the problem was with no new information) said that I need to make an appointment with his 100% trusted service department to determine what actually was the problem. I brought it in at the scheduled time. At this point I have had a car that I have not been able to drive in 2 weeks. The next thing I hear from them is that it is fixed and come pick it up. And that I have to pay for it! Yes they gave me a "deal" on the overall cost but I didn't authorize you to do the work or agree to pay for anything! They sold me a broken car, treated me like I was stupid, inconvenienced me for weeks, and then charged me for it. Worst experience I have ever had. Tho Wes the salesman was decent through the whole thing. Nothing bad to say about him.

I purchased an as is mini van spent all my money on it right well 3 days into it it stops running....called them asked if they ran a diagnostic on it they said no....well come to find out after running my own diagnostic test on it they recently cleared it out so the check engine light turned off indicating a bad o2 censor and bad fan module....they said to me oh we'll give you a trade in on it....why would I buy anything from a crack pot dealership fool me once shame on you fool me twice won't happen....so tonight I am logging a complaint with the BBB and also calling a lawyer....

I went for an oil change, multi-point check, and brake inspection for my Chrysler T & C 06. I took my van in on 4/14 to the Chrysler Dealership in Hastings, MN. I received a call from the dealership on the 15th saying that the rotors and brake pads should be changed along with the serpentine belt, and a missing bolt in the vehicle frame. I wanted to get that done ASAP but was needing to wait until next week so meanwhile I picked up the vehicle and took it back home. This was on 4/15. When I got my vehicle home there is a huge leak of a red fluid all over my drive way accompanied with a strange cracking noise coming from the engine. Nothing was wrong with the vehicle until it went to the dealership for a simple oil change and inspection. I sent the vehicle to the dealership to get it maintained, NOT for them to mess it up! I called them on 4/16 and told them about what was going on and they wanted me bring the vehicle back to see what was wrong.....Went there and after they looked at the vehicle I got two different stories from two different mechanics. They said that they "somehow" over filled the coolant and the coolant got on to the serpentine belt which is making the cracking noise. As per one mechanic the coolant was to dry off soon and the noise would stop. The other said the belt would need to be replaced immediately for the noise to stop. I wasnt convinced so I got the vehicle checked by 3rd party. They were shocked and in disbelieve that the job was actually done by a dealership. The Oil filter has double bearing and the old O ring has not been taken out before putting in the new one, which is leaving a gap. There is nothing wrong with the serpentine belt at all! It was in perfect condition! (The 3rd party mechanics said they can change it if we want but dont know why we would do that as the belt is in good shape) The noise from the engine is not the coolant on the serpentine belt!!!!!! The noise is coming from the gap caused by your mechanics! Doesnt your dealership know how to put an oil filter on or for that matter not to cheat and fool its own customers by messing up their vehicles when people drop their vehicles for servicing? Absolutely ridiculous! Do not take your Vehicle to this dealership as they will mess up your vehicle for their profit. Stay away from them .

I bought a 2010 sierra from hastings. 22 days into owning it, I noticed there was oil on the ground. I brought it to my local chevy dealer. Said it was a oil cooler line leak. I called hastings to see if we can work out a deal seeing that I'm 3 hours from them. They said that their 30 day 1kmile warranty doesn't cover cooler lines. That the bill was on me.Personally for myself owning it 22 days they should offer to pay atleast half to fix it.

I had been searching for a Jeep Compass for a long time and finally back in December I found one at Hastings Chrysler Center. The only rough part was it was all the way down in Hastings, which wasn't a big drive as I'm from the Twin Cities but it was at a great price and was in the color I was looking for. Upon arriving I told them I found their Jeep Compass on cars.com and was hoping that it was still available. After they did a little digging they found it and brought it around for a test drive. After a quick spin up the main drag by the dealership I knew I had found my next car. We went back and did the paperwork and I drove home in my dream car. As a thank you I wanted to write this review to show my gratitude to the Hastings Chrysler Center team for connecting me with exactly what I had been looking for and making the entire process pleasant. I will certainly refer you to all of my friends!

I negotiated a deal on a brand new truck that would include the GPS. The deal was talked about in front of my fiance and Chris specifically about the GPS. I purchased the additional undercoating, top coat, and fabric protection. So obviously I have no problem paying for additional items to be done to the truck.It is true that I didn't look at all the items to be done to the truck before I signed the paperwork and that is where they got me. It was obvious that Chris did either a bait and switch or just flat out lied to us. When it came time to do all the additional items to the truck. It magically became an additional purchase when my fiance went to drop off the truck for 600.00. I filed a complaint with the BBB and Bart the GM finally responded with a "courtesy off the GPS price." He pretty much called my fiance and I liars after such a large purchase obviously this dealership is more concerned about their money and not the consumer!

Salesman very polite and knowledgeable as well as all of the staff. Explained everything about functions of vehicle and he programmed blue tooth for cell phones which I know we would have had trouble doing. We told them what we wanted in a vehicle of which you did not have on site. You were able to get exactly what we wanted in 2 days, the vehicle exceeded our expectations! A good job by everyone at your facility!

Every one I dealt with was friendly, courteous, and efficient. Very professional staff. My sales person, Wes, took the time to go over all my purchase options and explained them thoroughly. Wes also showed me how some of the functions on the vehicle I leased worked. The whole experience was smooth and effortless on my part because of the hard work of a knowledgeable staff. Eric from Hastings Chrysler Center called me twice last week, and called James as well. Earlier last week I posted about a bad experience we had with Hastings Chrysler Center. They hadnt done anything illegal or even anything out of the usual, customary realm of how used car dealerships do business. It was just that the car my son bought from them broke down within an hour of purchase. I was completely dismantled and very upset after calling the dealership and asking them to consider helping somehow and had gotten an answer that didnt reflect their companys mission statement. Unfortunately, Eric wasnt at work at the dealership the day I called them, otherwise my post from last week would never have existed. Eric offered a remedy to the car situation today to help James out that brought walking the walk to a higher level and grander scale. Im not going to go into a bunch of details of what that remedy consisted of because lets face it, as-is IS absolutely as-is. Period. ALL automotive dealers selling used cars cant, wont and shouldnt be expected to do ANYTHING for you if your as-is car doesnt make it a block down the road. HOWEVER, Hastings Chrysler Center DID do something this time. They didnt have to.but they DID. They showed their level of integrity in a HUGE way. Today, the world feels like its a little better place. Thanks Eric at Hastings Chrysler Center. Id like to kindly request that EVERYONE EVERYWHERE share this post with EVERYONE EVERYWHERE please. I was proven wrong about this dealershipand I want everyone to know that I blissfully admit that I was absolutely wrong.

My son purchased a used car as-is from this dealership on 1/19/2015. Spent every penny he had saved, plus had to borrow and extra $400.00 to cover the purchase. He didnt even get an hour down the road with this car when white smoke began to bellow out from underneath the hood. He took it to an automotive shop right away. After diagnostics uncovered that the Timing Cover Gasket was TOAST, the serpentine belt needed to be replaced, the alternator needed to be replaced and the water pump needed to be replaced which roughly came to over $2000 in parts and labor--- I called to speak to someone at the dealership to see if they would be willing to help my son out. I didnt yellI didnt curseand didnt place blame. I told all three of the guys who talked to me that I KNOW the dealership has NO legal obligation to do ANYTHING for my son. I told them that I dont feel they intentionally sold my son a disposable car. I simply asked them if they would be willing to do a good deed and help this young man out. This dealerships philosophy regarding as-is cars is that if you drive it off their lot and it brakes into two pieces, YOU OWN BOTH PIECES OF THAT BROKEN CAR. The salesman that was the most willing to talk to me patronized me with hollow apologies, suggestions of absolutely NO value (sell the car on Craigs list.keep filling it with coolant until Summer time comes..) and empty promises to bring my request for any kind of remedy at all to the owner of the dealership. I dont plan on hearing back from anyone at this dealership with any kind of gesture to renew my faith in the generosity of humankind. My wish for the entire team at Hastings Chrysler Center is that someday when one of YOUR sons or daughters needs assistance..a helping hand up out of a rut..a ride home in 30 below weather. CPR from a stranger.I pray to God that they dont have to ask for that help from people like YOU.

While I have experienced the sales, front desk, parts and service departments of this dealership, my last visit was to service for some overdue maintenance. I can relate my experience as extremely pleasant because of the people. Not only were they repectful and engaged with the concerns I mentioned, the techs and service managers did an outstanding job. The interactions of the sections made the service a considerable value for the work performed and a welcome place to have future work conducted.

I just bought a used GMC van from this dealership. Not only did they find a great lender to get me into the van today, but they went the extra mile and picked me up at my home, drove me to the dealership to finish the deal so I could drive home in my new van. The price was awesome and the service was over the top. I would recommend anyone to buy a vehicle from this dealership in Hastings. Not one car dealership was able to get me approved for the loan, but they did! 5 STAR service! They even detailed the van before I left.

The service department was ready for the vehicle at the appointed time and began working on it immediately. I also like the fact that I was able to bring the vehicle for routine maintenance on a Saturday morning and wait for it. Our salesman was outstanding. He was not pushy, matched the perfect car to our needs, and matched or best offer from other dealers. He gave us all of the time we needed to learn all of the features of the car and to be able to use them safely. He was more like a neighbor or a friend than a salesman! Our finance guy was also excellent in explaining details and options in a non-coercive manner. We never felt pressured. We felt valued as customers!

This is a faith-based dealership that excels in honesty, integrity, and compassion for the buyer. Steve Pedro, in spite of some personal difficulties at the dealership took the time needed to complete our trade up to a used SUV. He handles diversity with faith and a sense of humor. Although the price was pretty non-negotiable, we feel like we got good value for our automotive dollar. There was also a follow-up phone call to check on our drive home (150 miles).
