The Elantra had an air conditioning hose that would close to the drive belt. This eventually caused a leak after 4 days of driving. The dealership provided a one day loaner and had the car repair.

One of the top reasons we chose to buy at Hanpton Hyundai again was because of the stellar service we received from Unchu when my husband purchased his car in 2012. Once again, Unchu was terrific to work with, we got everything we were hoping to get out of this car buying experience and we have recommended Unchu to our friends who live locally. My last car was a Subaru, I started servicing my old car at Hampton Hyundai in 2014 because the service department at my Subaru dealership was not as friendly, knowledgeable or helpful as the service staff at Hampton Hyundai. The great service department also influenced our decision to buy at this dealership. Keep up the great work! We will be back!

Last November my wife and I purchased a new Azera and we found this to be one of our best car buying experiences ever. A couple of weeks ago, we decided to buy another new vehicle (replacing our Honda Ridgeline) so that we could transport our four grandsons in the same vehicle. Without hesitating we came right back to Hampton Hyundai and sat down with Bill Grattan to discuss our needs, and low and behold, the exact model and color of the Santa Fe that we wanted was sitting on the lot. But not for long, as we quickly negotiated with Bill and Dave and wrapped up the deal in literally a few minutes. These folks are great to work with as evidenced by our purchase of another Hyundai from them one year after our first purchase of a Hyundai.

Buying a car from Hampton Ford WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! This is what car buying should be!My old car was totaled in an accident so I had to quickly decide on a new vehicle. I read some car reviews and made an appointment at Hampton Ford, this was an excellent decision. When I arrived I was warmly and sincerely greeted by the sales manager who introduced me to my sales associated Kyle. Kyle answered my questions to my satisfaction which is an accomplishment in itself as I am a robotics engineer/technical product manager with many, many questions. Among the highlights of buying a car with Kyle were the test drives. Kyle maintained a very relaxed and informal posture, I felt as though I was cruising with a High school buddy while going on test drives with Kyle. This was important as it helped me relax while making this very important decision. The result: I purchased a vehicle knowing I had made the right decision with no sales pressure. Kyle patiently and graciously had me take several test drives with different models on a variety of roads. He really took the time to find out about my needs and wants and how I felt about each model and test drive.On the finance side I cannot say enough about sales manager Dave. Dave is a straight shooter who understood the seriousness of this decision but at the same time was personable and accommodating to every concern. Like Kyle he answered every question to my satisfaction.After making my purchase Dave informed me that Hampton Ford is able to keep their pricing super competitive by not advertising and they depend on referrals and repeat customers for their business. Knowing this t is with pleasure that I can fully recommend and endorse Hampton Ford, they are excellent! This is what car buying should be!

I've known Danielle Gilligan for years. We ran into each other at a local restaurant and she was getting into a brand new Hyundai which she said she was driving for the week. She took time out of her evening to show me everything about the car. I called her the next week and went in to test drive. Everything was easy and laid back. Customer service is above and beyond. I was introduced to several people in all departments including service. I had an oil change scheduled before I left, was signed up on Hyundai's owner web site with my login placed in my owners manual, had my phone synced to the car and all my favorite stations were programed into SiriusXM and FM stations before I left. I since had some vandalism to my vehicle and Danielle assisted me with getting a quote from their body shop and enterprise rental, all on-site. I will be recommending Danielle and Hampton Ford Hyundai to others.

Overall, I had a great experience at Hampton Ford. Danielle was very professional and knowledgeable. The sale lasted a few days because of timing. She was never over bearing, yet followed up in a timely fashion. The dealership let me overnight test drive, which was a very nice way of letting me experience the vehicle without the pressure. Once I was ready to sign the paperwork it was painless. Danielle showed me the facilities and had me set up for my first service before leaving the building. I had some questions post sale and had my answers within minutes of emailing her. This is the way it should be done! I have already recommended this dealership to a friend and directed him to Danielle. I will buy more vehicles from her. A job well done.

Hampton Ford & Hyundai is a great dealership. The saleswoman, Danielle Gilligan, was very attentive and answered all of my questions, even while she wasn't on the clock! If she didn't know the answer, she was honest and found the answer by utilizing the rest of the knowledgable staff. My process took about a week so I was in and out a couple times and they were very patient with me during the decision process. Each time I was greeted with a smile and I was in and out quickly and satisfied. My trade-in was appraised very fairly, they found the truck that matched my wishlist and made the purchase process easy and stress free. My '07 truck had one thing after another needing maintenance or repair over the past couple of years, and I'd become an all too regular customer of Hampton Ford's service department since moving to the local area. I'm not complaining about the truck, it was a good one, but heavily used and up to 178,000 miles, and things were simply starting to fail more frequently. That said, the service guys are great! Dan and Keith definitely went above and beyond and provided excellent customer service, every time! The last time I was in though, I had an opportunity to wonder around the new car lot. One of the sales consultants approached me, and she and I began to look at specific models. My wife and I ended up trading the truck in on a new vehicle, and Danielle is certainly another example of the excellence in customer service that I've become accustomed to at Hampton Ford! Anyone needing their vehicle serviced should stop in and see Dan or Keith, and anyone needing a new vehicle should see Danielle - great people, great dealership!

Bought a used SUV and the used inventory- trade-in paper work says on it the dealership changed the oil and filter, reset oil reminder, replaced both wiper blades . I find that hard to believe. The maintenance required light came on after 500mies. Which means the oil needs to be changed. I had to change one of the wiper blades this winter cause it was bad. while driving back home from picking it up I noticed a chip in the front windshield. That was under the price sign when I bought the car. It was too far for me to drive it back and to time consuming to do it another day. Will not ever buy another car from there. They wanted to do another credit check for financing, and I was already approved. When I refused the finance guy stormed off like a pouty little kid. Real bad dealership!

This is my third Hyundai purchase and my second from Hampton, I previously worked with Stu Wolcher who I believe may have retired. I again found them to be the most upfront and accommodating dealership who allowed me the time to feel comfortable with my decision without ever pressuring me to sign. I take back everything I had said in my earlier review. After Rob found out I was having problems with my murano, he called me up and has offered to help me out and take care of the safety issues and even more than that. I had thought that when you buy a used vehicle "AS IS" that you were stuck with any of the problems you found out after having it for a little while. But Rob has assured me that with him that is not the case. I would recommend going to him to buy a used vehicle. Rob is one of the good guys.

I'm very dissapointed with my whole experience with Rob. He didn't give me a reasonable amount for my trade in and over charged me for the used vehicle I bought from him. I have only had my murano for two months and have already spent over $800. in repairs with another $1600. to go to have a good running vehicle. And to top it all off the dealership put an inspection sticker on my car when it should not have passed. I had it re-inspected and was told it did not pass safety. Thanks a lot for the money pit, Rob!!! I will never go back to this dealership and I don't recommend it for anyone.

My experience has to do with buying a used car from this dealership that was not a Hyundai. I hope a regular Hyundai purchase experience would be better, however it's worth noting my experience for potential non-Hyundai used car customers.My positive experience was the friendliness of the staff. No doubt they were amicable in tone. However, my car experience was bad, and costumer service was horrible. I took home a used non-Hyundai for what seemed a good deal. I believed that they had gone over the car and it passed their multi-point diagnosis. First off, there was a rattle in the roof that I requested be fixed before taking the car home. They said it was looked at and fixed but it continued to rattle. This was a sign of things to come.After the initial 30-day warranty was over after the purchase, there were major component failures in my engine. I had the car looked at by the car's manufacturer and it needed about $4,000 worth of work, including some basic items like tail lights that were out. I tried talking to the Business Manager several times to see if their dealership could help with the repairs, and he continually said he would return my call after talking to his boss. This occurred several times and he would never call me back. I believe they were playing the 'passing the buck' game and essentially ignoring me. Eventually I traded my car in to a dealership specializing the original brand and got a decent car.From my experience, there's no evidence this dealership actually did their point-diagnosis and fixed any problems in this car. I feel I was given misleading information and basically sold something of a lemon. I think they either knew the car had problems and didn't want to fix them, or they had no idea about this brand and no experience diagnosing it. Either way they just wanted to move it off their lot (hence good price). I think they then jerked me around and tried to get me to go away by ignoring my calls for assistance, even when I was willing to have my car serviced at their dealership. For these reasons, I can not in good consciousness recommend this dealership. As mentioned, maybe they are better with Hyundai's, but buying a non-Hyundai was problematic.

It was a good car for a month well then it had some problems. It kept stalling. Now I bought the car AS IS. I called Rob, he said simply bring it in Kiddo we'll see what we can do. When I brought in the car he put a plate on a 'rental' (a really nice suv) FREE of charge and said go ahead drive that until we fix your car. I'll call you when we got it. Well over the past 3 months Rob and Brennen have done nothing but gone above and beyond to help me with this car that just wont run right. Now get this!!! Rob called the bank and has gotten me approved for a newer car with the same payment and no money down. because he couldn't fix my car I bought AS IS!!! Did I mention I didn't pay for anything????? My fiancee and I stopped in to ford to scout out a new truck. We new the prices would be high but figured we would give it a shot. We were instantly greeted by bill graton. He was so friendly and honest up to the very end. I highly recommend working with him. However, there was some mis communication durring the sign of the contract. When we could not seal the deal that day, they requested a deposit to take the truck off of the lot. They also said no matter if you get the truck or not it will be refundable. About a week later after signing the contact for his new truck we were called and asked to give them the deposit that they forgot to collect. I told them it was not mentioned in the contract that the refundable deposit was put towards the truck. In the end we had to up his truck payment $3.00 to work the deposit in. It was was in the old contract but never mentioned. All in all bill was wonderful and the truck is amazing but always double check your contracts before signing.

Recently, we visited Hampton Ford and were greeted by youg Chris Lowry, who proved to be a breath of fresh air. Unlike many of his sales brethren, Chris was friendly, courteous and helpful. He was very knowledgable about the product and and approached his work without the bluster and attitude we've come to expect from sales people. If I were in the car business, this is just the kind of guy I'd want on my sales floor. Unfortunately, we were unable to come to an agreement on a deal. Because we were dealing on a 2011 F150 (0% is a priority with us)that was on another dealer's lot and was not exactly what we wanted, pricing needed to be more attractive than normal. After leaving the dealership, I called Brian Hovelle, the General Manager, to tell him how impressed we were with Chris. Brian offered to revisit the quote and revised his offer. By then we'd decided to wait for 0% on the 2012's,when we'd have a better choice of models. Despite the fact that we left without a new truck, our experience remained positive because of Chris and Brian. When we are ready to do this again, we will return to Chris and try again. This was the 3rd dealership I had visited this day and was immediately greeted by Chu. Other dealerships I had visited allowed me to walk around for atleast 25 minutes unattended. After my initial online inquiry, Ana was very good about checking in with me periodically to see if I was still interested in making a purchase. On Thursday 1/26, I told Ana I would stop by to test drive a 2012 Veloster. The car was at the front of the dealership ready to go when I arrived. I met Susan. She told me about the car and then we were off on the test drive. I liked the car and was interested in finding out if we could make the financing work. I had filled out a credit application online the day before I went to the dealership thinking it would expedite the process. Susan filled out more forms with me and then told me that the person who handles the financing was off on Thursdays and that she would review it in the morning and I would hear first thing. I have purchased several cars in my life and have never been to a dealership where there is no one available to evaluate and approve/disapprove a credit application. With every vehicle I have ever purchased the whole process has only taken a couple hours at most. Susan asked if I could leave a deposit to hold the vehicle while my application was reviewed. I wrote a check for $100 thinking the check was being held pending credit approval. The check was processed the next day and money withdrawn from my account. I waited all Friday morning for an answer. Finally at 3:00 I called Susan. I was told that the person in financing was busy all day and that she would get back to me on Saturday morning. Saturday morning came and went and at 2:00 Susan called to tell me that they had only found one bank that would accept the loan but the payment was much higher than I had said I was comfortable with. She said they would continue to work on it and she would call me back either way. I never received another call. Sunday afternoon I drove back to the dealership to get my $100 back. I was told there was no one in the business office and that I would have to come back on Monday or wait for it to be mailed. This is the worst customer service I have ever personally experienced. I am not upset about being refused the loan. I am upset that there was no one on staff to handle financing when I came in and then when I came back for my money, no one in the business office. I would think that those areas are very important in the purchasing process. The worst part of the experience was being told that someone would contact me and when and then it never happened. All I wanted was an answer one way or the other. I am in customer service and when I tell someone I will call them with an answer I follow through and call them even if it's to give them an update and let them know I'm still working on it. The staff at Hampton Ford-Hyundai is very pleasant but I feel very disappointed by the experience.

I was looking at getting a new truck. So I went to the Ford website and used their application to built up a truck the way I wanted it built. I then had the option to request a quote from a local dealer. At first I had picked Portsmouth Ford. After several phone calls, I was still unable to get a quote for the truck. At this point I switched to Hampton Ford. I got a prompt response from Chris Lowry with a fair price.I then asked about some trucks they had in stock and what their price would be. I asked for a test drive and Chris asked me when I wanted to come in. I said Friday, and it turns out that was his day off, but he was happy to come in just to let me test drive a truck. I liked the truck. After we left the dealer, I was talking to my girlfriend about the truck and comparing it to the Chevy. We both decided that we liked Chris and the dealer enough that we wanted to go with Ford.I did a little more searching and found the truck I wanted at a near by dealer. AlthoughI could have driven there, I wanted to get it through Hampton Ford. Chris gave me a quote on the truck. I came in and got a quote on my trade in. I thought both were fair numbers. So we made the deal.They had the truck ready for me in two days. This has to have been the easiest and most pleasant purchase I've made at a dealer. Chris never tried to push anything on me. He was always ready with an answer. He didn't try to fake things he didn't know. When I was closing the deal, they said they offered extended warranties but it was up to me. They said I could add it at any time. I pointed out that Hampton Ford offers a lifetime warranty on the drive train if you have all of your service done there. I figure that's good enough for me.

He was so friendly and helpful that he immediately put me at ease. He was patient with all my questions, informative and didn't push anything on me at all. Normally I would never leave a poor rating for any company, but I was extremely un-impressed with the astronomical price I was given to repair my truck with this company. I took the truck in letting the techs know I needed a New exhaust Manifold (mine had a dime sized hole in it) I rented a Vehicle through their Enterprise on site for 2 days because I was told it would take a couple days to fix. Later that day I receive a call from service telling me it will be $4,300 to fix my $4,000 truck. (2000 Ford Expedition) WHen I asked what that entailed, the break down was I needed New Brakes & Rotors all Around ($800) 2 New Manifolds ($2,400), an Evap Tube and all my fluids flushed and replaced. And a Serpentine Belt that was about to Snap! Essentially after the break down about $3k in Labor. I picked up the truck, Paid $90 for them to tell me all these problems with my vehicle. I then went to a Garage in MA and asked him to fix everything ford had quoted. The Mechanic used ALL Original Ford Parts which totaled $650. 2 Brand New Manifolds, an Evap Tube, an Extension Piece the Evap tube needed, all the bolts and everything else. He said my Belt was fine. He also found one of my studs Broken and Laying in my HUB when he removed the Hub Cap, which he said would of occurred from who ever put the tire on last (FORD) All of which came to $1,090 total price for Parts and Labor. And took 7 hours to complete. I Did my own Brakes, as FORD Stated needed to be replaced so badly, which was a load of BS. All 4 Rotors were at 14 3/4, State Legal is must be replaced under 14. and all the pads were still at half their wear mark, no where near needing replacing for another year. Since I had already bought the parts, and pulled my truck apart I replaced them anyways. Cost of $175 for Rotors, Ceramic Pads and a $30 Torch wrench set I needed to Pull my Calipers. Total Cost $1, 265Ford Price $4,300I Saved: $3,045 The reason Im posting this? I can't even begin to imagine how many people this service center has ripped off. Especially women and the Elderly who have no clue about pricing or parts or knowledge of vehicle service. Im a 31 year old women, IM assuming they thought I knew nothing about vehicles. Lucky for me, they assumed wrong!

I was very pleased with my recent experience at Hampton Ford-Hyundai. After using the Black Book trade-in value estimator on their website (a handy feature), I received a call from Anna Jurta, the Internet Sales Coordinator, asking if she could be of any assistance. I told her the model, options and color choices I was looking for. They didnt have a suitable vehicle on their lot, so Anna said she would try to find me one. When I returned home that afternoon, there was an email awaiting me saying she had found the exact vehicle I had requested at a Massachusetts dealership. I went to Hampton Ford-Hyundai the following day, and Anna came out to meet me and sat with me while Aaron Handy (my salesman) was finishing up with another customer, and while my trade-in was being evaluated. Anna told me that the internet department was quite new to their dealership, and I think it is a great idea and essential in this day and age. When my husband and I buy new cars, we do all our research on the internet, so we know exactly what we want and can cut down on the actual time spent in the dealerships. Plus, since Hampton Ford-Hyundai did not have the vehicle I was looking for, I could have gone to any dealership and asked them to find the car I wanted, but I dealt with Hampton Ford-Hyundai solely because Anna emailed me right after receiving my trade-in value request. And Anna is the ideal person for the jobshe was prompt, courteous, helpful, and all-in-all just a really nice person. On the sales side, while Aaron was dealing with his other customer, he kept running over to make sure I was O.K. and to apologize for keeping me waiting (through no fault of his own). He had to drive a car around to the front of the building for the other customer, and actually ran to the car and back to me to save me a few extra seconds of waiting! I found Aaron to be extremely friendly and helpfulhe made me feel like he was working for me, trying to get me the best deal. Anna emailed me two days later to say that the dealership where my car had been located had sold the car, after agreeing to put it aside for me. At first I was quite frustrated as I had signed a deal for that particular car, but Anna and Aaron worked feverishly to locate another car for me, and Aaron called later that day to say they had found one in Connecticut. They had it driven up to their dealership the following day at no extra cost to me.When I went to pick up my new car, I met with Gary Novakowski, the Finance Manager, and found him to be nice, efficient and helpful. He saved me a months worth of registration fees by suggesting I wait a week to register my vehicle. I hadnt realized that you pay for the full month no matter what day of the month you register the vehicle on. The paperwork was all set up when I got there, so I only needed to sign a few forms (he explained each one clearly and succinctly), and then he took me back to Aaron who went over a few details about my new car. This was my third Tucson (I find you cant beat them for the price, operation and safety features, plus the new styling is really nice), so I knew my way around it, but Aaron showed me some of the new features which my 1995 and 1999 Tucsons hadnt had (I especially like the Navigation Package, which includes a built-in GPS and enhanced stereo system).So, all-in-all, I was impressed with the service I received at Hampton Ford-Hyundai, and would like to thank Anna, Aaron and Gary for making it a fast and relatively painless process. What a surprise I got when the general manager promptly reduced my trade-in value by 40% for no apparent reason other than to 1-waste my time, 2-hit a home run on my trade-in or 3-he never had any intention of selling me the 2011 Explorer as I was told they were in great demand and he thought sticker price was a "fair price".Bottom line, this is a bush league dealership as I have bought close to 20 vehicles in my lifetime and have never been jerked around this bad by a dealership. The general manager never explained why he did what he did, no apology...NOTHING. He didn't have the decency to come over and talk to me or explain.Stay away from this dealership, unless you want your time wasted and to be thoroughly disappointed.My experience was so bad, Ive know turned my search away from Ford Motor Company and back to one of the other American car companies...at least they haven't disappointed me like Hampton Ford.

Last year we were looking for an affordable, comfortable, reliable used car. I HATE car shopping! You know, like salesmen that don't listen or play games with costs? Rob was amazing. He listened and found us the perfect car. Reasonably priced and in great shape. It's in such good shape, still, no one believes its 5 years old. But what was most impressive was the sense we had when we left that Rob was like a friend. He was trustworthy, kind, enthusiastic and understanding, while really knowing his product. My wife and myself just needed to stop dumping money into our car that we had. It just kept breaking down and was to expensive to fix and unreliable. I had recieved a pamphlet in the mail for North Hampton Ford hyundi, I figured why not take my chances and try it out. I was reluctant at first due to credit issues, I thought maybe a used car at best because of terrible credit. I ended up with Earl as my salesman and, right from the start he made me feel that this was possible. After he took some information from me, I waited a bit and then he said Jason would like to talk to me. I knew that he was going to say that they could not help me due to credit issues, but instead he told me that he would get me in a car one way or another. I was able test drive some cars with Earl and loved the ford fusion. I'm sure that Jason had to try many banks for me, and the whole time Jason and Earl were telling me that this was going to happen. Only a few days later, I was driving away in a BRAND NEW ford fusion. If you need a car and have the best or the worst credit you should definately go to North Hampton Ford Hyundi first. Thanks a lot to Earl and Jason for all the effort and hard work they did for a person like me to get me in this car. They made what I thought was an impossible long shot to a reality. I am sure that the rest of the employees at North Hampton Ford Hyundi are as proffesional as Earl and Jason also. As far as my credit they said that bad things can happen to good people, and they got me in that 2011 fusion when they couldve easily told me they couldnt help meand just moved on to that perfect credit person. Went in to check out a possible crack in the manifold, which was confirmed, and it is covered under the warranty. The service department checked my vehicle, 2006 Escape, for inspection-related issues and advised on some optional additional work to be done in the near future at a very reasonable price. Also, Dan made several copies of my vehicle keys at my request and at a price less than quoted, which I appreciated very much. Keith was also very nice.

The guys in the used car department have sold me two cars in the past year. They were extremely forthright and honest about what they knew about the cars they showed me. They were also really honest about risks involved, the potential that the non-warranteed cars would be the customer's issue once it left the lot.I feel I hit two home runs with the cars I bought. You obviously need to be careful with what vehicle you pick, many of the used cars need some amount of work, some significant, but the sales guys try to show you what is needed as far as their assessment process could allow. My cars run great and have saved my personal financial situation. I've never had better car buying experiences and traveled from North Carolina just to purchase my second car. Rob Larson is great.

I shopped for over 2 weeks at 5 dealerships taking into account price, friendliness, honesty, and promptness of returned phone calls. Hampton Ford came out on top in all categories. This is the 2nd car I have bought from them in 4 years. In both cases they offered me the lowest price on the vehicle I was purchasing and the highest allowance on my trade-in. This is a great organization from sales to finance to the service department. Do your research but I believe that those who do will end up at Hampton Ford 9 times out of 10. A top notch experience.

My experience with Hampton Ford was a really nice experience. I'm one of those people who is not easy to please. For me to go to a car dealer is like going to the denist. I know I have to go but generally I hate being there. After receiving a few emails (after filling out an on-line survey) I decided to give Hampton Ford a try. I was pleasantly surprised. Chu was my salesperson, she was wonderful, I own my own business so anyone self employeed is considered to have "not so perfect credit". Jason was already aware of the obstacles I would face and was prepared. I told him what I was looking for and what I wanted my monthly payments to be, he delivered all the way across the board. I have to tell you, anyone within ear shot will hear from me how wonderful Hampton Ford is, I have every intention of returning, maybe not every year but every other year to buy a car. I purchased my third Mustang GT (2009) from this dealership. In comparison to all others in the area the sales folks are sincere in helping you purchase a vehicle and do whatever they can to extend the offer of a mutually satisfying sales experience. There are no hard sales approaches and as a customer you feel you are being advised, not sold to. In addition the service dept has been fantastic for over 3 years with our previous Mustang GT(2005/2000)vehicles. Jason Kurker and John Filipone in Sales were super. The Business Manager Brian also more than helpful, and we felt in executing the financial paerwork he was looking out for our best interest.
