Great Experience

I couldn't find the car and equipment combination I wanted in my area. I contacted several dealers with promising cars on cars.com. Guy had exactly what I wanted at the most reasonable price. There were problems with cars from the dealers with lower prices. Other dealers wanted more than the car was really worth and wouldn't negotiate, or they tried to play games with fees, taxes, etc. I was understandably nervous about buying a car from someone I didn't know who was 1300 miles away from me. Steve was patient with my many questions and supplied me with all the information I needed to evaluate car (CarFax report, title, pictures etc.). Their good BBB rating and the many great reviews here on cars.com were also reassuring. He was completely honest with me about everything. When I came out to check out the car, I had ample opportunity to look it over and take if for a -long- test drive by myself. It was as advertised, except for a few small details that they fixed right away. The buying process was easy and fairly fast. Since bringing it home, they've continued to help resolve a paperwork issue so I could get the car titled and registered. Everyone was a pleasure to work with, and I'd recommend Strohmeier's Auto Center to others. I may even buy another car from them in the near future.

Great working with Ritchie

The salesman who assisted us was Ritchie, and he did a great job of finding the small used truck we were looking for, in fact using his location sheet he found a vehicle in a nearby city and had it brought over so we could see it. Overall this dealership was great to work with, the closer was sharp and to the point. Having sold cars for many many years myself we traded great stories and there was very little beating around the bush or typical car sales dramatics. Their finance department does not try to force feed you snake oil or other add on's that are typical for a dealership, and they worked hard at getting us financed with a local credit union, despite some credit issues from the past. The car was presented clean and appears to have gotten a complete safety check and overall check-out. Thanks to the folks and I look forward to sending others to Ritchie who are looking for a vehicle.

Guy and his staff are always honest-great place!

We love the quality, integrity and staff at Strohmeier's Auto Center. Steve St. Cyr helped us look for a certain type if car and gave us printouts and prices on several cars, one of which was at the Ukiah lot.. Steve had the car brought to the Lakeport dealership for us to look at. The next day Guy was there and we decided to buy the car from the Ukiah lot. We test drove quite a few cars to narrow down the best car for us. Guy and his staff made sure the entire process went very smooth. I can't say enough about how Strohmeier's Auto Center's atmoshphere is so positive! I have been to a few dealers in my lifetime, and most of them made me feel nervous and uncomfortable. I would recommend Stohmeier's for any used car purchase. They love their customers and we love them. They have an excellent service department with equipment to test most cars, even if you didn't buy the car from them. The also have service warranty's available for customers. It makes us feel better to have a service contract, even on our fairly new car. It sure comes in handy when you need it. Luckily, we never had any reason to use it. Thank you everyone for our new car, we are so happy to have it.

Great Car Buying Service Experience!!!

Guy Strohmeier's Auto Center by far is the best in business!! Steve/Assit. Sales Mgr is very professional, explained in detail of the car in interest, shared the history and didn't hesitate to go above and beyond satisfying customer's peace of mind in purchasing a pre-owned vehicle. Numerous calls were placed by me, yet he was polite, friendly and most importantly, very patient. Steve knew we were over 2.5 hrs. away to do a "test drive" so he arranged a driver to bring the car down to where we can actually take a drive and have the car inspected by a local auto shop (on a late Friday). After the test drive, everything was as described over the phone except a minor issue. The wheels needed balancing. The driver drove the car back late Fri. evening to their shop. By Sat. afternoon, Steve did his best by finding a wheel shop to balance and had the car ready for us Sunday to purchase. Their price was not only reasonable, the car it self was in great condition and their hands-down service oriented staff was worth buying - from Guy Strohmeier!!! Happy Customers

If you like Old Fashion Honesty, Quality and Ethics. You'll like Guy Strohmeier and his Staff. (Not that he's old ). But it's nice to be able to walk into a dealership & actually be listened to. Not try to coerced into buying something you don't want. If they don't have it at the time, they'll keep their eyes open for, get it & call you. We bought a beautiful truck from them 3 and a half years ago. We had a brake problem. They brought it in right away and fixed it. We never had another problem. The mechanics do excellent work. We recently traded in my Big Beautiful truck for a heavy duty truck. And as the tears ran down my face, they assured me We were getting a much better truck for what we wanted it for. It's not as pretty, but it gets the job done & gets better mileage.

Great ethics and friendly salespeople

My Wife and I stopped in to look at a car while just driving by, after a camping trip to Clear Lake and seeing some suv's that caught our eyes..... We ended up buying one and used our vehicle as a trade in, sure we had to work a bit to get the best deal, however they were very friendly, profesional, and courtious to us the whole time and went the extra mile (300+)! to make it all happen for us. The folks at Strohmeier's Auto Center treat you with respect, as a partner in the buying process - much different than the "pressure sales" of many other used car lots. After the sale, support in the service department is top notch - with the staff offering "above and beyond", genuine customer service. I purchased a used vehicle approx. 2 years ago and am looking at a replacement now. If they don't have the vehicle you want on one of their 2 lots, they will find it for you!!! I recently purchased a car from Guy Strohmeier, not only did i get high compliments from my boss who has purchased cars from guy for over 20 years but i got to experience it first hand. I went just "looking" and there was no car salesman pressure that you get from other dealerships. they are welcoming and inviting and treated me like a person. I even took my daughters car there for some repairs. I am 110% satisfied.

2009 Honda accord purchase

we initially came by to look around. Guy gave us an incredible deal on a Honda accord that he just brought back from LA. It was very clean and in great condition. His sales associate Richie was wonderful in processing our application and making our transaction delightful. They found us an incredible deal and even put new tires on the vehicle for a very minimal price. Their finance department was very knowledgeable and well versed in the documents needed.

Great Service/Great Staff

We puchased a used vehicle from Guy's staff yesterday. They went out of their way to make sure that the whole procedure was done in a professional, but friendly manner. We got our car checked from nose to tail, cleaned and washed so that it looked and smelled like new car - all shiny and bright. Guy has a great staff working for him and his confidence in his staff shows in the way they work together to make sure that each customer feels comfortable and welcome. MOM AND I ARE NEW TO THIS AREA, AND WERE TERRIFIED OF BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF-BOTH OF US HAVE MAJOR HEALTH ISSUES-IT WAS IMPERATIVE AT THIS POINT, WHAT LITTLE MONEY WE DID HAVE, WOULD GO A VERY LONG WAY BECAUSE WE HAD JUST BEEN ROBBED OF EVERY HEIRLOOM WE HAD LEFT, ANYTHING WE HAD OF VALUE WAS GONE... SO...WE ASKED EVERYONE FROM OUR DOG GROOMER TO LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS, NEIGHBORS, EVEN LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT WHERE WE COULD GO WITHOUT BEING RIPPED OFF.... ONLY ONE NAME WAS GIVEN TO US BY EACH AND EVERY PERSON...GUY STROHMEIER'S IN LAKE COUNTY CALIFORNIA. WHAT LITTLE MONEY OUR INSURANCE HAD PAID US NEEDED TO BE SPENT ON SOMETHING RELIABLE AND SAFE, FROM PEOPLE THAT COULD BE TRUSTED.... WE WENT IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE DRIVING A $500 1985 BUICK SKYHAWK (WE HAD LOST EVERYTHING WHEN WE BECAME ILL IN 2004), WE HAD TERRIBLE CREDIT, A LITTLE OLD CAR, AND NOT MUCH ELSE TO OFFER..... 3 Year history

We have had a very positive history with this dealership going back 3 plus years. we have traded a truck, bought a truck, had a truck repaired and are selling them a truck during this time. Guy has been been honest and pleasant with us. Jeff and the crew in the service department have been informative and worked well with us. We can see that they care about their work. We are happy with this dealership in our small town and would not even think about going out of town to do our business. We will buy another vehicle in two to three years and we will go here first. We have also sent two of our good friends in to see them, they both purchased trucks are happy, and one friend has bought three trucks!
