Just purchased an Azera Limited. I was treated very well, got great price, and received a more-than-fair trade in on my previous Hyundai. The Sales staff worked with me to structure a deal that worked great for e and put me in the vehicle I needed. My salesman was perfect for my style of buying. . I have been interested in purchasing a WRX for a while now, upon entering the closest subaru dealership I was promptly greeted with a warm welcome and was asked what vehicle I was interested in, when I mentioned the next three letters "W R X" the sales personell attitude completely changed and he went to get the manager. Needles to say the manager says they do not do test drives of the car. I was a little perplexed and asked him to clarify, his reasoning was that unless I was willing to purchase the vehicle there were no test drives allowed.I explained to him that there must be a misunderstanding and informed him that I have the title to my current vehicle (2012 civic si [great daily driver]) and my checkbook. I also proceeded to explain to him that I am not here to waste his time but there to test drive a WRX with a high chance of purchasing the vehicle. Long story short he told me he could not help me without doing a credit check.Now I am not sure if this 'policy' was created only for me since I do look younger than my age (im 31 but look 25),I understand that it is a performance vehicle and they have to make sure that the customer is not wasting their time, but what else could have I done to purchase the vehicle aside from buying it without a test drive?I currently own a 2015 z06 as my weekend toy and even for that car the corvette dealer handed me the keys and told me to bring it back in one pieces, I purchased the car that day.Quite frankly the dealer has left a sour taste in my mouth and associated that negative experience with the subaru brand in my mind.Has anyone had similar experiences, is this an isolated incident?

I have had 2 genesises, went to buy another genesis, but looked at the sonata, main concern was i have 2 elderly parents, both using rolators, would they fit in trunk? We measured several times, and the answer was yes. Matt was very patient as we kept measuring. I am especially happy with blindspot detection.

The used car sales manager and salesman at Grayson Hyundai Suburu in Knoxville, Tennessee are not only difficult to negotiate with, they are downright belittling and insulting. Maybe because I'm a woman -- men may have a different experience -- but I left there feeling disrespected and of no value to them as a customer. As if they would prefer I do not come back -- at all, Ever. What car dealership does that? At one negotiation session, the manager actually told me (when I said I had found a similar car for less in a neighboring city) "good luck with that"! I will never go near Grayson Hyundai Suburu again and I am advising all my friends to steer away also, especially my female friends. They will insult you if you make an offer on a car; they refuse to drop the doc fee, under any circumstance (they should pay their own people to do that paperwork, not charge the customer for it) and they are downright rude, impolite, cold, and have absolutely no people skills. There are plenty of other places that are willing to sell you a car and want you as a customer. DON'T EVEN TRY TO GET A GOOD DEAL AT GRAYSON HYUNDAI SUBURU!!!!

I was looking for an SUV for my daughter who was just starting college at TTU in Cookeville, TN. I wanted it to be AWD & have cruise control since the vehicle we were trading had neither of these features; Cookeville is on the Cumberland Plateau and the weather conditions could be much different there than in eastern TN, plus she would be doing much more interstate driving than she had done before. I was concerned for her safety & comfort and the Tucson Sport I ended up purchasing had many impressive safety features and my daughter was comfortable in the vehicle. ALL of the staff that I dealt with at Grayson were very courteous and professional as well as caring and worked very diligently at obtaining the vehicle that my daughter was looking for and I could afford.

I went into the dealership to service my 2013 Hyundai Elantra and decided to look around while I was there. I am currently expecting my first baby and already have 2 large fur babies at home and I knew that I needed to consider a larger vehicle to fit my whole family into one car. On the first day I spoke with Mike Anderson who was very helpful and walked me through all my options. He didn't fluff anything or make me feel like I had to upgrade, he just helped me understand where I stood with my current vehicle and what options could better suit my needs. We walked through the lot and the whole time he carried my work back for me (since it was heavy and I am noticeably pregnant, it was very kind of him). That night I went home and talked with my spouse and decided to go back the next day and more than likely make the move to a bigger vehicle. While there we found that buying new better suited our needs so we then worked with Marty Widener while exploring our 2017 vehicle options. Marty knows everything you can ever want to know about his vehicles. He showed me all of my options and ultimately I decided on the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. Even though it was raining, and he really doesn't like lightning, he stood out there in the lot with me to help me understand everything before I took my test drive. The SUV was great and just what I wanted. Ultimately we purchased that day and closed on everything with CJ in financing (who is probably my favorite person ever, he is so kind and really knows his stuff). He even saw me struggling with the color to choose (I really liked mineral gray) and he gave me advice that influenced my decision. He said with a baby on board, it's best to choose a color that stands out so that people can always see you. Grays sometimes can be lost during the sunrise or sunset. After that I was sold on the beautiful burnt orange (and it was the one that more fit my budget)! Now when I drive anywhere I feel safer and feel like others can see me coming. Overall it was a great experience, and I plan to go back to get my Genesis when my children are grown :)

Went to look for a used vehicle 05 BMW X3 with female friend. Her car was stolen and she has little mechanical knowledge. Arrived at Grayson Hyundai to look at BMW. A salesman approached us (john) and asked us if he could answer any questions. I asked him about the bad tire (showing the steel cords) if they would replace it. To my surprise he responded the car was being sold in what they call the BARGAIN lot and sold as is and NO repairs would be done on the car. John said since the car was under 10,000 dollars they don't do any repairs. I said the tire is a saftey issue and he said he would see what they could do.I guess 10,000 dollars is a small sum to them but to a single mother that's alot of money. Then I contacted Seth Hart by email asking about the inspection and tire issue on this vehicle. To my surprise he told me they don't inspect or do repairs on cars under 10,000 dollars. He said I could take the car to a local mechanic if I wanted too at my expense. I wouldn't drive that car 10 feet with that tire. He told me I could buy tires from them if I wanted. Heck I'm buying a car from his lot and I have to do repairs and spend more money to get it off his lot? Yeah, Right. How STUPID does GRAYSON think people are? I asked him if he would put his family in that car but received NO answer. Grayson needs to rename their bargain lot BUY & DRIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Better yet HAVE YOUR MEDICAL INSURANCE PAID UP IF YOU BUY HERE. Another one would be BUY FROM THIS LOT AND YOUR LIFE IS IN YOUR OWN HANDS. You could buy a car from a junk yard CHEAPER and in safer condition then from GRAYSON. Another name for Grayson Hyundai is BUYER BEWARE. Your SAFTEY is NO concern of ours, ALL WE WANT IS YOUR MONEY. I see I'm not the FIRST one with complaints about GRAYSON. I've found better dealers then this YAHOO. Stay Away from GRAYSON. I would give them NO stars but the revenue won't let you.

I've purchase several new automobile's in the Maryville, Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Lenoir City, and Clinton area in the past 50 years not including three from out of state dealership's. From all my past experience, in purchasing a New Car, Grayson's is probably the easiest of all to deal with. I very well new what car I was interested in and the price I wanted to pay before I entered the dealership. After meeting Marty Widener we sat down and I told him what I wanted including the options and accessories that were required. In addition, I told him what I was willing to pay excluding incentives, sales tax and title and tags transfer. The figure's I gave him was approved my the new car manager, the car was located and I was in my possessions 3 days later. It was just that simple and my wife and I are very pleased with our New 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid.

Took my new 2017 Santa Fe in for its FIRST oil change - they left a gouge in the rear bumper and then refused to fix it. The service manager (who wasn't there when the vehicle was serviced) claimed there was nothing that could have caused the damage. I performed walk around before and after and pointed out the damage immediately to the service personnel at the time. He stated that I would have to contact the service manager the following week. It is sad that you can't trust a dealer. I would avoid this service department at all costs - very cold and non-caring when it comes to new vehicles.

For the most part, Branden was an engaging individual to work with, but I cannot say that I had the best experience in hind-sight, given what my friend experienced at Grayson, less than a week later. To explain: Initial dealings with Branden seemed sincere and energetic, like he genuinely wanted to make me a satisfied customer. It took a Friday evening and Saturday morning to go through the process, and it was a painless and relatively quick order of events. Once the car was chosen, and pricing and whatnot came into the picture, things, understandably, got a little confusing between the two of us, because it's the money talk that makes everyone slightly tense and awkward; thankfully, CJ stepped in and provided a more thorough and comprehensive explanation, including the price, the optional add-on service features, etc. When the keys were handed over, I still felt a little confused by the vehicle I was getting and what, exactly, the difference was between what I test drove and what I drove away with. Since it was the only vehicle on the lot in the color I wanted, yet was AWD, I understood the price would be a little more than the one I drove, but the other features did not seem all that different. Initially, before I decided on color, I was shown the overview of the Tucson I test-drove, like the interior features, the backseat and how they folded, and the back. When going over the rear, I was also told- and shown- that it would come the following: a protective mat for the rear (one side carpet, and the other side plastic- since I have dogs, the plastic was a great appeal to me), a cargo cover, and a cargo net. When I looked over the vehicle that I purchased, NONE of these features were there; of course, I did get a First Aid Kit, which, honestly, massively pales in comparison to the other attractive features that were omitted. When I inquired about it to Branden, I was simply told that he guessed they didn't come with the one I purchased. That did not make sense to me. Did Hyundai just scatter about these additions in random Tucsons? If they once were there in the car I did purchase, where did they go between the time it came from the factory and onto the lot? From the way he said it, I thought it to be weird that those features appeared to have a grab-bag feel to their inclusion, wherein the buyer would simply have to be surprised if they did or did not come with the purchase. In my head, that I was getting a Tucson with added features, over the one I tested, that higher price led me to easily assume those features would be included. Moving on, I just accepted his response, and we continued to go over the other features of my vehicle. I left with a basic comprehension of what I purchased, and later texted him with a few certain questions that came up in the passing days, all of which he answered quickly and efficiently. Less than a week later, unfortunately, I would come to realize that I did not get as thorough an experience with Branden as I should have. On the following Friday, 5/27, I sent my friend to Grayson, setting him up with Branden who, since he was off, set my friend up with another on-duty agent. Since he was looking at getting a new vehicle, and because my experience was generally positive, it only made sense to suggest it-- along with the $100 referral bonus I could possibly get. When all was said and done, my friend drove away with a standard Blue Tucson, a few steps down from the one I purchased. When I took a look at his car, to my surprise, his vehicle came with all of the above features I was initially told I would receive, but didn't; funny enough, however, he did not get a Hyundai First Aid Kit and, understandably, showed no sign of disappointment that it wasn't included. Looking at his paperwork, and from what I could tell, he was not charged for any of those items being included, like they were actually included; yet, inversely, looking at my paperwork, from what I can tell, no deductions were made for them not being included. Of course, I could be wrong and not finding the precise itemization; but, again, I was led to believe it was standard for the Tucson, and seeing that none of it was an additional cost on my friend's end, I should either be credited for the omission or receive the items due to what appears to be an oversight, and not the apparent grab-bag idea I mentioned earlier. Talking further with my friend, he only spoke highly of his time there. He mentioned that he was constantly being engaged with the employees, and rarely was left doing nothing while he was there, such as taking a tour of the service department, something I was never shown on either day I was there. (I mainly mention that element, since it was asked in the survey.) The only talk of service, in my dealings, outside of declining the $1400 service package that I could've added to my purchase, was an after-thought mention on Branden's end that I would get my first oil change at Grayson for free. If there is any other complimentary initial service, I wouldn't know. My friend even had an agent over nearly all of the Tucson's features with him, before he drove off the lot: setting a service reminder, and changing preferences on vehicle functions when you're getting in/out of the car- none of which I knew about in any thorough detail. Overall, my friend gave a rundown of his experience that made mine seemed rushed and feel less personally focused on me as the customer making an expensive investment that I would be happy with for years down the road. I ended up learning more about my car through his experience, instead of from Branden, the one who made money off of my purchase. Professionally, I gather that that's not what is strived for at Grayson, given the questions asked in the survey. While I understand that each agent is different in style and their overall execution, what my friend experienced, in my opinion, was top-notched, A+ service, where that level of attention to detail and overall concern for the consumer is what all agents should strive to achieve in each deal. When treated like that, one, more often than not, forgets about the money being spent, and feels more confident and secure about the investment being made with a new car. In absolutely fairness, upon completion of this survey, I do plan to contact Branden and ask about this further- more notably, asking again about the features that were not included in my particular Tucson. I hope I can find a better resolution in that follow-up discussion. If not, I hope that what I've written will achieve what the conversation might not. To be clear, my experience was not an awful or unsatisfying one. Aside from the great incentive of the $100 referral, I sent my friend there, because I had a quick, easy, painless experience doing what most people dread. Even though I know my time didn't go as well as it should, I wish no ill will or recourse to anyone involved in my particular deal. I only hope to convey that, while my time at Grayson was sufficient and ended successfully, it was disheartening, as a buyer making a such an important purchase, to discover that I did not experience what appears to be Grayson's standard above-and-beyond service given to my friend, by multiple agents in his one visit. Upon my next purchase at Grayson, I hope that's what I'm able to experience.

My wife and I have gone to this "dealer" twice to look a car for our 16 year old daughter. Both times the cars we look at were low quality vehicles. Somehow we needed up talking with the same sales person (C L Murray). On the first trip, I mentioned that the car we drove seemed to have a vibration with the engine. Mr. Murray's response was simply they do not check the used cars for driveability only safety. We went again last night to look at a 2007 Sentra. I was dealing with other people up to the point of arriving at the dealer's lot. The sales manager told me to speak with C L Murray when I arrived. When we saw who he was, we both looked at each knowing this was not going to be good. We went out to look at the car. My wife looked inside and saw that the car was very dirty, which didn't show up in the pictures online. Mr. Murray response was these used cars need a little TLC. When I looked in the trunk, there was a wire hanging down. I went to open the hood, but the hood release would not work, so we could not get a look at the engine. When I started up the car, the dash lit up with warning lights including the check engine like. At that point, we just went back inside and said we weren't interested. Mr. Murray preceded to tell us that we should not expect anything better for the price we were looking to spend. My wife told him we expected him to be a salesman and he respond that he expected us to be a customer. We were customers, but we are not interested in a car that is a piece of junk. Grayson should be embarrassed to have that car on their lot. Let only have the price listed for $5990. That's a joke. That car is not even worth $3000 in the condition it is in. If you are looking for a used car, you definitely DO NOT want to go to Grayson and you definitely DO NOT want to work C L Murray. He is an EXTREME xxx!!!

Marty, and his manager Curt went above and beyond to make me happy with my first car purchase, and took any time they could to help in any way they can. From showing me the cars that best fitted my needs, to sitting in my new car's passenger seat for an hour, AN HOUR AFTER THEY WERE ALREADY CLOSED, just to help me set up everything in my new car. Being i am a 19 year old girl, most car salesmen just try and sell me anything they can, and take advantage of the fact that i don't know any better than to let them rip me off. BUT the guys at Grayson Hyundai treated me like i was family. I WILL recommend this dealership to anyone i know. I was traveling when my vehicle started having issues. I called road side assistance and they towed me to Grayson. I got here after service hours however, Randy in sales department offered me a loaner car. Saturday when I arrived at 7am when their hours of operations said they were open, the service people already had my vehicle in the bay working on it. My vehicle was fixed and ready Togo one hour after they opened. This is a very awesome team Grayson has going for them. They are good hearted people that care about their customers. The quality of workmanship is phenomenal. I would recommend them 100times over.

After many weeks of looking for just the right car, today I bought a Subaru Cross Trek Limited and I'm very happy. The car is exactly what I was looking for - not too large, high off the ground, plenty of room to carry 'stuff,' and an engine that keeps it moving smoothly. However, it was my experience with the salesmen, the finance manager and the man who gave me a tutorial about how everything works that really made this a wonderful purchase. There was no rush and no wheeling/dealing. Facts were given and explained and there was no holding back on what the price was or what discounts were available. I was going to pay with cash, but changed my mind when told that the interest rate for financing was so low. And I was not pushed into a high priced warranty, but rather given a realistic view of what was best for the kind of driving I do. The staff at Grayson Subaru on Kingston Pike work well as a team and work well with customers. I would highly recommend buying a car from them.

My husband and I noted that with our first maintenance visit that the service employees seemed to approach everyone in the waiting room to explain that something else needed to be fixed on their vehicle. They even asked us to have things done prior to recommended maintenance schedules. We then started bringing our maintenance schedule with us to verify what they were trying to sell us. We eventually ended up finding a better service department at another dealership who has never done this practice. I advice you to look elsewhere for your service.

The sales staff has been easy to work with and never left us feeling pressured. Our last sale was with Mack, I'd recommend him to anyone. Good sense of humor and answered all our questions, making us comfortable with the sales and the terms. All of our Hyundai's are serviced here. Just purchased my third Hyundai from Grayson Hyundai-Subaru, the first being in 2005. I have always dealt with Robert Blevins, who is very knowledgeable and extremely easy to work with. I can always count on him to give me a quick overview of the new models which in turn helped me zero in on the vehicle I was looking for. this is the way to buy a car talked to Mack my salesman told him what I wanted and that I would not sit in his office while he put the deal together. Easiest automobile transaction I've ever experienced in my life. I simply told the Sales person what I was looking for, my budget and the amount I wanted for my trade in. He said that he would let me know as soon as they got something that fit my parameters. True to his word, within a few weeks they had the car I wanted, we worked out the deal on my trade in and kept everything within my predefined budget. No haggling, no hassles, no run-round. A few weeks after I got the car, I had a service issue which was not covered by the warranty. It could've been a big expense to repair but once again, the Grayson team stepped up to the plate and took care of the problem at their expense. Regarding BODY SHOP:The staff was for the most part friendly but that is about all the positive comments I can make. The issues included: 4 days to get an appointment for an estimate; 10 days to get an appointment for the repairs; Was not ready when committed (twice and I had to call to follow-up to find that out both times); the first time we went to get the vehicle it had a glob of paint in the area that was supposed to be fixed;The second time we went to pick it up (after it not being ready again when promised), the same area still had a blemish so we left it again; A third time it was not ready when promised but when we picked it up they had finally done it correctly. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BODY SHOP!

Since the small inventory of used 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe's in the SE trim were overpriced out west, I flew to Knoxville, TN to purchase the vehicle I was looking for at a GREAT price! After e-mailing back and forth for a couple of days as to the details, I spoke with Zeke Coppinger at the dealership in order to finalize my plans. He immediately made me feel much more comfortable about not only flying most of the way across the country to buy a used Hyundai sight unseen, but also about the delivery process and driving back to the Northwest almost 2,700 miles! Zeke was waiting for me at the Knoxville airport upon my arrival and drove my "new buuggy" back to the dealership. (After flying all night on the red-eye, I wasn't QUITE ready to slip behind the wheel just yet!) All of the documentation was ready in advance, so after a quick inspection, a few signatures, and a couple of handshakes, I was ready to begin me journey back home, albeit a bit slower. Mr. Grayson, the owner, took the time to thank me for my business, especially since I had come such a long distance. CJ, the finance manager, did a good job of explaining HIS end of the deal, and what was available as to extended coverage. Although I am usually against extended warranties, I did excercise that option here. For what I felt was a very reasonable price, I now have full coverage for the next 7 years/70,000 miles that is transferrable to a new buyer, should I wish to sell. Can you say, "RESALE VALUE"! (As per the norm, the "negotiable documentation fee" is NOT very negotiable!) I couldn't have been happier with the service and attention I recieved. My only regret is that I know nobody in the area to refer to them! Thanks again to all there at Grayson Hyundai for making this experience pleasurable. OBTW.......Car ran great and no sore backside after making the long haul back!

I brought my car in for a diagnostic test. My radiator had to be replaced. It was very expensive and the labor is expensive as well. They got the part in "fixed" my over heating problem. 4 days after I pick up my subaru it over heats once again. I call and speak with Patrick Pippin, who was my rep. as I paid for my car he was as friendly as can be. Once I call asking why my car is over heating he can't give an explanation.. He was so rude and would not let me speak. I am highly dissatisfied why my experience. They are trained to work on these cars.

I planned to buy a Subaru forester 2.5i. We negotiated on the price, and they wrote down the price on the paper, and everything was ready. However, they asked for about $1500 more immediately before I planned to pay by credit card. I never saw this kind of dealer. If you want to buy Subaru, I strongly recommend you avoid this dealer, they always break their promise. They are NOT trustable, PERIOD. You can go to big city to buy one. I don't have time now, I will give the worst evaluation whenever I can see GRAYSON SUBARU later.

Visited the dealership to see if we really liked the Subaru we had researched. It was a Saturday & the dealership was busy. All of the Subaru salespeople were with other customers, but a Hyundai salesman was available. Duwayne was very professional and helpful, even though he was learning on the fly as he hadn't worked with the Subarus much. However, he was able to answer all of our question, was prompt and thorough with follow up, and was a genuinely nice guy. He worked to get us the price we wanted, and the next week we took the car home. No fuss, no games or hassle. This was the easiest car buying experience we've ever had. My wife purchased a new Subaru and I was unable to be present throughout the process. Sydney McLean did an excellent job in helping her determine which Forester model to purchase and was very knowledgeable, energetic and enthusiastic as well as reassuring to my wife. Sydney even demonstrated the Eyesight safety features with a cardboard box in the parking lot- exciting! The deal had pretty much been made before I could arrive and to be honest I had not done due diligence in estimating the trade in value of our car. Consequently, and in hindsight we were basically ripped off by $1000 or more on our trade in value though the price for the new car itself seemed fair. The whole process was very time consuming mainly because it was a busy Saturday and they were short one finance person, and the finance person we dealt with continually reminded us of this fact and of how overburdened he was. He still managed to find time to deliver his sales spiel and we suckered into purchasing an extended warranty- not something I typically do. At the end of the day it is still a car dealership after all. Had some contact with Seth Hart via email as he does internet sales and he was helpful and attentive for the most part. All in all I've had worse car buying experiences... And I've had much better. We are pleased with the car!

Just bought a used Hyundai from Grayson and couldn't have been more pleased with how it went. Our salesman, CL Murray was very easy to work with and very personable. We also have another Hyundai that we bought from a different state and have since used Grayson's service department since moving to Tennessee. Once again, Grayson was great!
