Overall a good experience. Their prices on used Subarus are a little higher than everyone else, but I would attribute that to their lifetime warranty on the drivetrain.

Collin has been my Service Advisor for years and has always been great to work with. He explains everything well and helps me prioritize needed maintenance and repairs. The new location is beautiful - very impressive! The service area is so much brighter, lighter, and it's nice to have it separated from the actual service shop. The waiting area is much more comfortable; the amenities (coffee, snacks, fruit, drinks, etc.) are a nice touch!

My wife and I were referred by a friend to see Leo at Gerald Subaru back in June. We had a great experience! We had phoned in advance that we wanted to see him and the best new Forester model. When we arrived it was ready and he had another family there buying their second car in a month from him and they couldn't stop talking about how great Leo is with the whole experience. So after Leo's fanbase let us pull away Leo was able to spend the time to show us all the features that Subaru includes that other small SUVs miss. There are so many extras included that we were really blown away. I think the biggest reason why I wanted to write this review is because Leo listened and understood that my wife would be the primary driver and he took the time to show us all the little differences between this vehicle and others we were considering and that made all the difference for us. I can say going from Mazda to Honda to Toyota to Jeep and lastly Subaru, he was the most knowledgeable in the field. I've had other experiences where someone might say a manager can explain this later or brush over something, but not with Leo. He is a true professional in his craft and can hand hold you through all your questions and concerns. Six months after our purchase Leo is very responsive by phone and email with any questions. Couldn't be happier!!!

Christopher was helpful throughout the entire car purchasing process and was eager to make our experience enjoyable. We are extremly pleased with the 2017 Subaru Forester we purchased. The amenities on our car such as the adjustable heated seats and moon roof are specacular. We are pleased with the 5 Star Safety ratings and are pleased that the Subaru Forester is rated as one of the top cars that offer excellent maneuverability in the snow. We purchased a maintainence package at an affordable price and are happy that we can go to the dealership in order to maintain our car with Subaru experts. I came to Gerald Subaru of Naperville to have a punctured tired fixed on my 2014 outback. While talking to the service person regarding my day's frustrations, I said: "I should just buy a new car". He turned to Kelly, who was standing next to him and introduced us. Kelly took me to view and test drive a 2017 Forester. I was impressed by the safety technology that the car was equipped with. I will be starting a new job in which my driving distance and time will increase and therefore thought how these features could be a life saver. Living in Chicago with our winters and construction seasons its better to be properly prepared. Kelly worked with me patiently and I never felt pressured by her. I LOVE that she is part of the sales team and I highly recommend her!

I began working with Eric Zetterlof over a year before I purchased my 2015 Forester on August 20, 2016. He knew that I was intending to purchase a vehicle to have for a number of years (previous vehicle was owned for 244,000 miles, 13+ years), but I was not able/ready to pull the trigger on the purchase yet. He helped me think through what I'd like, suited to my needs and desires, then shelved the info until I was able. Once the finances became available, I returned to Eric's desk, and the search began anew. He'd located 4 pre-owned cars, I tested them all, and settled on my Forester. All the paperwork was done, payment was made a couple of days later, and off I went. As I drove my Forester to work and back for a few days, I realized that I DID NOT like the ride, feeling that I now had a very rough ride, not unlike that of a truck (trucks of these days probably ride MUCH better!). (Could I get my Hyundai Santa Fe back???) Two weeks after I purchased it, I told Eric that I really wasn't happy with the car, given the ride. We agreed that I'd drive it for 2 weeks more, seeing if I got used to it. Two weeks later, I decided that it was OK. About a month later, I scheduled an appointment to have the protection coating applied (undercoating, body, interior), so was given a loaner of a 2017 Forester. Before I got halfway home, I realized that there was an incredible difference between what I'd bought, and what I was loaned. In the morning I aborted the protection process (which still has not been done), saying that I wanted to seriously look into a switch-up for a better ride. At this point (shortening the story), it seems that all I'd be given for my car is about $17,000, where I'd payed $26,000. I was horrified that there would be so much of a difference between those two values, and I felt as though I got somewhat jerked around on the price, especially by the fact that I'm stuck with a truck that has a car body. I am still trying to convince myself that I'll sooner or later get used to this ride, maybe before I'm dead and gone. I guess I'm naive enough so that I thought that Gerald would do more to help me remedy the (still very new) situation than buy the car back as a "used" car, giving bottom dollar for the car which (at that point) had about 17,500 miles on it. Needless to say, yes, I'm rather disgruntled, and will have a hard time endorsing Gerald Subaru in the future. I don't know Eric Zetterlof beyond my car buying experience, but have no tangible reason to believe that he didn't do what he could, start to finish, to make me a satisfied customer, so I'll be happy to endorse him and his efforts. I know this is not the kind of reviews which dealerships like to hear, but then, my car isn't the kind of car which I'd like to drive for the next 15 years either. Guess we both lose, huh?? :(

Purchasing a used vehicle can be worrisome; however, with the assistance of Abid Khan at Gerald Subaru of Naperville, sigh of relief slowly took place. I purchased the Legacy with a very tight budget. Impressively, Abid and Anthony truly worked their magic! I left the dealership very pleased that late afternoon. Few days after I took the car home, it rained continuesly. Unfortunately, I noticed a weak dripped by the door. I was very nervous since I did not buy any warranty. In my head, I was on my own for the repair cost. My boyfriend did not think either that Gerald Subaru would help me out at that point , but I thought that it would not hurt to ask. Abid was just a text message away, so I went for it. He did not disappoint me. I was told to bring the vehicle back, so they could check it out. I made an appointment, and it was repaired/cleaned ( along with my little concerns) free of charge. The bonus, I was given my dream vehicle,Crosstrek, as my rental car! :DAmazing crew!!! My husband and I walked into the dealership in Naperville. We were right away greeted by Eric Zetterlof. We discussed about what I was looking for, which I was not exactly sure yet, just a vague idea. Eric explained to me what makes Subaru stand out. He showed me around, checked what's on the showroom and on the lot. We left, I was undecided. He e-mailed me info, talked over the phone. I narrowed down my choices and Subaru was one of the top choices. I visited the dealership few times, talked about prices. (I would like to mention that there was another salesman who helped me looked at the cars while I was deciding if I should get silver or gray, Eric was off that day. Sorry I forgot his name. But it just showed me that they were willing to help even though I was already talking to Eric.) Eric looked for other options, including other brands, that were within my price range. He asked about my future plans. It got me thinking that I'll be retiring in 8-10 years and I don't want to buy another car. I finally decided to get a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. BRAND NEW!!! The shopping process was a pleasant experience. Eric was not rushing or pushing me. I felt that he was sincere in helping me. I love my choice. The car suits my need as an everyday car. I bought my first Subaru, ever, from Kelly in July 2016 and in August of that year I was in a car crash. The car was totaled but it saved my life. Before that my girlfriend and I had driven it to Colorado and drove around the mountains for a long weekend. The car handled better than expect in every way, shape, and form. I loved that car so much and had such a great experience working with Kelly that I bought the same exact car from her a second time. I won't buy anything but Subaru from now on. If I do end up needing to purchase another one I'm going back to Gerald.

I usually dont write reviews online; but in this case, the service was so above and beyond expectations that I felt I must share. Chuck Dziak is the Service Manager at Gerald Subaru of Naperville. I was having oil consumption issues and had been trying to get it taken care of all over the Midwest, as I constantly travel for work. I was getting discouraged until I talked with Chuck. He was extremely knowledgeable about the situation and the steps that needed to be taken to correct the issue. However, what I have been most impressed with is his willingness to work with me through the challenges of my work schedule. The problem solving and hard work that he put in to correct the issues has been the perfect example of impeccable customer service. I highly suggest this location to anyone in the Chicago area looking to either purchase or service a Subaru. It is absolutely worth a longer commute based on the service you get.

He put me with Mitch Vella immediately and Mitch took over from there. Mitch was very helpful, professional, honest and patient throughout all correspondence. Asim was working at a frenzied pace to process sales on Monday night. While I would have preferred to wait less, it was clear that everyone was doing whatever possible to take great care of customers. I was very impressed that both of them sent me an email right away letting me know they were happy to assist me and answer any questions I might have. I originally went there to look at the new WRX and see the value I would get for my current car, so I would have an idea of what exactly I needed when I was ready to buy. I was shown a beautiful black WRX premium and of course fell in love. When the numbers first worked out, it was uncomfortable for my budget. They kept working down the numbers for me until they gave me an offer I just couldn't refuse. I left with my new WRX only paying the first month's payment, and nothing else. I didn't feel completely pressured, but it was definitely an impulse buy because it was the car I've always wanted. I have no regrets right now with my decision. I have a brand new car with a payment that just fits into my budget, and with no problems to fix unlike my old car. John is an excellent sales rep, both my fiance and I felt comfortable with him right away, and was understanding on how big this decision was for me. His manager, Leo, was also persistent on getting me a price that was do-able for my budget. He definitely did not want me to leave without a car, especially seeing for himself that my car I had brought to trade in was falling apart, and had no A/C ontop of it on a super hot day. When I told him I'd be ready to buy in a few short months, he kept insisting I would get the car to enjoy what was left of this hot season and enjoy my A/C which I've never had. I love my A/C and I honestly don't know how I went so long without it!Asim was also great in concluding the sale. It was a friendly, easy and quick experience to finalize the sale. We got there at 6:30, and did not leave until about 10, when they closed at 9. John was leaving for vacation that night, but happily stayed until we left happy in my new car. That to me was definitely great customer service.

My wife really wanted a Subaru and even though they screwed up two deals before, I went in there today once again. After explaining what I was looking for to Cristian, he pulled in his sales manager Geraldo which meant I had to explain everything again. Geraldo was trying to show Cristian how to work a customer but failed miserably. He claimed he graduated in financial engineering but couldn't answer any of my questions. According to him, all dealers charge the same and the car price is all there is to negotiate, which in case of Subaru there is no negotiation. These two couldn't sell me water in a desert. Arrogant, badly trained, dismissive to my concerns and basically not fit to deal with customers. The manager at the main desk kept interfering as well. When Geraldo pulled up the Subaru website I just had to leave. I don't need to waste my time in a dealership when all I get is the info that is online, and neither should you.

Six months after my purchase I brought my Forrester in for an oil change and tire rotation . Customer service was top notch and quick . I was in and out within an hour.
