This place lost my business after being treated like an idiot by one guy in service. After telling this place about issues I was having with my car, they brushed off every issue with the most idiotic reasons that only a person without a head would believe! After a call to the manager Mike, I was told he'll look into what I told him about my service and my treatment, and that I would get a call back. No call obviously. This whole experience was expressed in my email to Subaru of America. Few weeks later the cars been traded and I bought from Ganley Subaru East over in Wickliffe, couldn't have been happier with my new dealer and car!


Not a good place to get a car from!!!

We have been to many places looking and buying cars, Bedford Subaru of Bedford is the WORST. This is a real cattle call type of place. The salesman was OK, Jimmy C, from there it went down fast. We had pricing from Edmunds for different Subaru dealers around the area, their price was decent but we wanted to see if they would match another dealer. The salesman gave a price and then we asked if he could match Park Subaru's price, well that's when Jeff Rosen got involved, of course the Park Subaru quote was at their "invoice" and they would make any money on it, hahaha. a close friend of ours happen to be next to us and they told us about getting the truecar price and I told him about Edmonds and getting quotes from other dealers. I mentioned about Park Subaru, supposedly someone heard us talking about this, Jeff Rosen came back and said they would not deal with us because we talked about other pricing in his showroom, so you can leave!!!. Flabbergasted at this treatment - I called my friend, who was going to buy their car from them, told him about Jeff Rosen, he said I will never buy from them and we will make sure to tell everyone about this treatment at this dealership. Needless to say, we both bought elsewhere and saved over $2000 each from their pricing.

My wife and I recently purchased a 2008 Honda Pilot from Ganley Subaru. Lloyd Henry was our salesperson- and he did a simply OUTSTANDING job. We live about 1.5 hrs from Ganley, so traveling to the dealership was a commitment, and (considering our prior experience with OTHER dealerships) a gamble. Mr Henry really has changed our experience in whole new way. Lloyd answered all of our questions and really went above and beyond to help us out in checking the vehicle over, before we ever saw it in person! We had a detailed description, close up photos, details of any dings or scratches and a detailed CarFax. Lloyd even detailed a few of the repairs that he would recommend once the purchase was complete. Very straightforward and HONEST. No surprises at Ganley, with Lloyd at the wheel. Meanwhile the other staff people were also very courteous and very helpful. We didn;t encounter any pressure or 'tactics. No push to 'upgrade' to a different vehicle. All fees and costs were plainly explained before we sat down with financing, and Lloyd even gave us an estimate on our local tax (something that a lot of salespeople overlook and us customers forget!). After the sale- we had a few courtesy calls, to be sure the transaction and customer satisfaction is well. I never write reviews, but needed to step out here. All around, an amazing experience and re-adjusted our understanding of pre-owned care sales. Thanks so much, Mr Henry!

When I went into the dealership, I asked if they had an African American Sales Person. I was told yes and Mr. Lloyd Henry came and he was the kindest, nicest, sales person I have ever met. He didn't pressure me and it was a very smooth transaction. I had not driven a Subaru after purchasing, its the best car ever. I will always drive a Subaru. Needed a safe & reliable car for my daughter, who goes to college 100 miles away. We had never owned a Subaru, but several of her friends recommended the Impreza. She test drove it, along with several other makes & models, and we were both sold on the Impreza. Lloyd was very thorough in explaining all of the features and available options. The color she wanted was not in stock, but Lloyd & John Romeo promised shipment within a week. My company gets preferred pricing from a different Subaru dealer, but Ganley matched the deal without hesitation. Maybe this was an indication that I had more room to negotiate, but the price was within in the "exceptional price" range on TrueCar, so I feel that I got a fair and honest deal...and that's what really matters. The car arrived when promised, financing was a breeze, Lloyd went through all of the equipment and even set up her bluetooth & contacts (which is well beyond my capabilities). My daughter's been driving the car for just over a week now, and truly loves it!

The answer: More than four! My son bought his first used vehicle from Ganley Subaru in Bedford at the end of February. There was only one key available at the time of the purchase. Our salesperson (Ken Mackel) said he would contact the previous owner and ask for the second key. After three weeks, a call to the salesperson got an answer along the lines of: "It's not here yet. I will call the previous owner again." Then the paint started to chip off the car. After ten weeks, my son just brought the car in and asked for the key. The answer this time: "We have a big box of keys. It might be in there. We'll check and call you on Monday." When we asked them to look at the car and the chipped paint, the answer was: "We sold the car 'As Is,' so we can't do anything about the paint." (Actually they could, but they won't.) But they went on: "We'll call you Monday and have our mobile key guy meet you at your place of work and make you a key." After two weeks, a letter to four Ganley associates respectfully asking for reconsideration on the paint, and reminding them that still no key was in hand and no "Monday call" was made. It has been two weeks since the letter. So "As Is" accurately describes Ganley's idea of "customer service." What a shame.

It was an unexpected purchase and I'd never worked with a dealership before so I was a bit nervous. Family and friends who I reached out to all said that Mike Bryson is the nicest and most honest car salesman out there. (Yup, Mike's got a fan club!) Mike took the time to help me to educate myself on the different options available to me that would work with my budget AND would be the right fit for my 120lb dog. He also was very understanding and encouraging when I decided to take some time to do more research and consider my options with other dealers and brands. Don't get me wrong, I knew he wanted to sell me the car, but he never made me feel pressured. The lack of pressure, the kindness, and the creative efforts Mike made to help me really knocked the other sales people out of the water. He's not your typical car salesman, but that's what makes him so special. It was like working with a friend! Mike Bryson worked with the sales manager Mike Santone to take excellent care of me. Subarus are amazing cars (my family has owned many), and if you're thinking about getting a Subie then look no further than Mike Bryson for the best service you could ever ask for! (Oh, yeah, and while you're there check out the cool case full of Mike's awesome movie memorabilia!)

I just bought my 3rd Outback ( 02, 07, now 12) from the "Red Headed Wonder". Each time I look elsewhere I keep thinking to myself, "Mike would never treat me like this" I never feel like Mike is trying to get rid of that car that has been on the lot too long. I always feel like he is working with me to find the car that I am looking for to fit my needs. Mike would not try to talk the starving dog off the back of the meat truck, but he would share his sandwich with him. Friend and customer for life :)

For no particular reason, Subaru of Bedford was probably the 4th or 5th stop for me during my frustrating car shopping journey. I was fortunate to get linked up with Mike Bryson as I feel that I not only walked away with my dream car, but also a friend. Mike is by far the most enthusiastic, friendly, and low pressure salesman I've ever encountered and for that, I truly feel he's an asset to the industry. It honestly didn't even feel like I was there buying a car. I've been to a lot of dealerships over the past 10 years and this has been the best experience by far. In an effort to find a worthy vehicle I happened upon Ganley Subaru of Bedford. Defeated from a day of looking at Toyota Camrys with the horsepower of a craftsman lawnmower I was uplifted to have met Mike Bryson and the WRX. He is unlike any car salesman I have ever met before. He immediately felt like a friend and was brave enough to let me test drive one of his cars. It was a fun experience. At no time did I feel any pressure. In fact it took a good number of years and repeat visits before I was finally ready to purchase, but each time I came back Mike gave me his full attention and wonderful customer service. Mike made the entire process comfortable and enjoyable. He was always available to answer any questions and couldn't have made the car buying process any easier. I truly felt that Mike had my best interests at heart. He went above and beyond to make sure I had all the information I needed even when it meant staying after closing time to finish personally showing me my new car's features. I recommended him to my in-laws who also purchased a car through him. I guarantee that if my family is ever in the market for another new vehicle we will be coming back to work with Mike and Subaru.

This is the second VW we have bought through Bryson and I never even considered going to anyone else. Even though he is at Subaru now, he took care of every last detail at VW. A friend of a friend recommended going to Mike Bryson when I was looking for a new WRX, I'm glad he did.I have bought several cars over the years, and Mike is by far the best salesman I have ever dealt with. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the product, extremely friendly, and no pressure at all. I normally don't do these reviews, but this car buying experience was so positive. I had to say something. You don't find folks like him just anywhere. I have nothing but positive things to say about the dealer in general. Ganley of Bedford is several miles from my home, with no less than 5 other Subaru dealers closer to me. I'm glad I made the drive, and will continue to do so for my services.

I am very upset with this Ganley location, as well as most. To be brief, I visited last week to look at a vehicle. I did not make an appointment to view the car but showed up. I am upset with my visit and I have, unfortunately, been through two cars in two years and looking for my third. I brought my mother since i am very passive and likely to get ripped off (Ganley will if you let them) and we spoke with a Ken. His personality was a little off putting but it was tolerable . Ken and my mother spoke and then when she stepped away to use the bathroom he made some comments about her. That is not alright with me. He was also making comments to the salesman next to him and was 'busting his xxxxx.' You are busting your professionalism you fool. If I wanted to have a sports bar mentality, i would see what is available at Harry Buffalo. I visited several dealerships test driving cars in the last few weeks trying to get a new car before I return to school and I got quoted all over. I visited two Ganley dealerships (Subaru [this dump] and Chevy) and I got 10k and 11k, where my average was around 15k elsewhere. I was told by Ken that the check engine light was on. I cannot say if it was or not but I have been driving that car everyday since I got it a year ago, and I have never seen it come on. I know all the lights illuminate for a second when you first start a GM vehicle but they do not stay on unless there is a issue and the driver command would prompt an issue. You can use whatever tactic you want to rip us off, that is fine, some salesmen are those you would give a christmas card to and some places like this you give the bird to as you drive by in a car you bought from someone else. This is a bird. You don't make comments about someone's mother. I have a hard time understanding where you can come off with that and think you are going to sell a $30,000 vehicle. I would say wholehearted avoid Ganley, Spitzer, and Serpentini and you will find bliss in life. The Manager Freeman is useless as he does not get back to you, I sent him an email two weeks ago hoping to work everything out, I received nothing. What sort of sap do they take us the customers as. Revolution. I would rather get E. Coli at Chipotle then shop here.

After deciding to check out Subarus, an acquaintance who was previously employed at Ganley Subaru told me that when I go to ask for Mike Bryson. My husband & I went planning to just look at and test-drive an Outback. We met Mike, & from the get-go he made us feel completely comfortable. He's a very easy-going, personable guy who likes to laugh & absolutely makes you feel like he could be your buddy! (He even gave me a fist bump when I knew about Superman's Bizarro World! ; ) Absolutely no high pressure sales pitch or tactics from this guy, & he genuinely believes in the cars he sells. We did end up buying a new Outback that very same day & when we went to pick it up I gave Mike my heartfelt thanks for making the whole experience easy AND a lot of fun! (he didn't even have to use a Jedi mind trick on me to convince me that I definitely wanted an Subaru! ; ) I plan on driving my Outback for a lot of years, & hope that if I choose to purchase another Subaru as my next car, Mike will be there to help us out again!

I met Mike many years ago and liked him so much with his low pressure sales approach and fun loving spirit that my brother and mother ended up biying cars from him too. Now 9 years later, even though he is 45 minutes away ( we have another subaru dealer 5 minutes from our house) we travelled to buy from Mike because he is trustworthy and knowledgeable and gets you the best deal. He treats us like family.

I have been sold on Mike Bryson from the time I first met him years ago and consequently, have just recently leased another Subaru from him.Mike is hard-working, extremely knowledgeable, and has a low-pressure approach to sales that is refreshing/unique. He always takes the time to patiently answer all of my questions and he also has a special way of making me feel like family. Furthermore, Mike's enthusiasm and belief in the Subaru product is both impressive and contagious! I think so highly of Mike that I have had my parents and sister come into the dealership and meet with him as well. Of course, they now lease their cars from Mike as well!

Among the six drivers in our household (including college and high school students), we meet the driving needs with now four Subaru vehicles purchased from Mike Bryson at Ganley Subaru. I come to him, get the straight talk about each model. The guy's depth of knowledge is incredible. So start with a quality product and then a local expert who knows it in and out. Mike Bryson is the only car salesman I have ever trusted. I worked with him a few years ago when I purchased a Jetta- and decided it was time to upgrade to an SUV and just leased my Forester 2 weeks ago. As soon as I decided to trade in the Jetta I contacted Mike. I liked him because he wasn't pushy, he seemed very genuine and he followed up with me several times over the years. The first time I met him my friend and I told him we should all grab beers together because we had so much fun working with him. This time was no different. Mike, along with the financing staff and managers were great to work with. I didn't feel like I had to haggle with them- I told them what I could afford and they made it work. I told Mike this last time that I hope he stays in the car sales business as long as I am buying cars because I don't want to have to work with anyone else. Not only did I have a great experience leasing my car with Mike Bryson, I also got great advice on which comic to get as a gift for my son, how to use essential oils to stay healthy, and I learned lots of Star Wars trivia, just in time for the new movie! (It was a very productive morning!!) Mike took the pressure out of car-hunting and made the experience actually fun. If you are looking for a car, I would highly recommend going to see Bryson.

Mike and "The Force" (Jenn and Debbie) worked extremely hard to find me a Used Car that I was comfortable with both physically and financially. I am not a little guy and my credit was pretty bad, but Mike was able to find a nice care that I felt good driving and could afford. I was at the dealership two different times. When I went back the 2nd time, even though Mike's back was acting up, he still took me on a couple of different test drives. We came across a car that was perfect for me. This is the second deal I have had with Mike. His personality is excellent. He is outgoing and not pushy, He states the specifics and lets you make your decision. The fist car I bought from him was an excellent experience also. I really did not know Mike, but that changed after about 5 minutes with him. If you want a car and in my case a Subaru then go see Mike Bryson. I haven't bought a car from another dealer since 1992 but my search for the right Subaru led me to Mike at Ganley Subaru of Bedford. I came in late with no appointment and even 1 hour before closing Mike was still bouncing around the place with energy. I waited for Mike a a few minutes and the rest of the staff there were very courteous offering me and my daughter water and refreshments. I left that night before making a deal but as promised Mike worked on it the next morning until he had the deal I wanted. I came back and got the car I'd wanted. Mike never pressure, he only worked hard to get me exactly what I wanted. He felt like a friend instantly. Mike is a fantastic person. I recommend anyone who goes to Ganley sees Mike Bryson.

I've bought 3 cars from Mike Bryson. There is no other car salesman I would go to. Period. Even if I didn't buy a Subaru (perish the thought as I love mine) I would still buy the car from Mike. No pressure, no B.S., honest and up front. Even if I don't like the answer, Mike will tell it the way it is. Always gotten a fair price and he works to find exactly what I'm looking for and the price near where I want it. He even searched for a few weeks just to get the right color/option package on the Legacy I bought last year. Great guy, easy to talk to. Worth a visit if you're looking for a car.

I've bought 3 cars off of Mike and I'm really not to fond of the manager, who's name starts with J and ends with eremy, or the dealership itself, but I trust Mike not to railroad me. Mike probably needs to be on a high dosage of Ritalin, but he's a genuine kind hearted guy and does everything he can to live up to his promises. I think Mike should win any and all contests available. Seriously, keep this guy happy because the talent pool is pretty shallow at Ganley Bedford. Bryson for sales manager!

We are elderly, ok old, and have been around the block with car salemen. We learned right away Mike knew the car we were interested in front to back. He answered every question and added more information than we asked for. He demonstrated, checked car stickers for us, consulted people around the dealership and made sure we were happy with our first brand new Subaru. It won't be our last. We are just returning from a trip where the computer-assisted steering prevented a rollover so we were VERY happy about that. Thank you Mike and thank you Subaru!

Best car salesman ever! He isn't pushy like all other car salesman and he definitely knows what he is talking about. He was able to get me over blue book value for my tade in and still get me an awesome deal on a new car. They didn't have the exact car that I wanted on the lot, but he took the time to search and found one at a nearby dealership that was ready for pickup the next day! Definitely recommend! Typically when you think of car buying, you dread the experience of dealing with high pressure sales people. It is quite the opposite experience buying from Mike! He was very engaged with us through the process but not in a way that made you roll your eyes! I also felt he went above and beyond to entertain my 4 year old daughter....who obviously didn't want to spend a Saturday sitting at a dealership! I was pretty settled on the car I wanted but the recommendation of a few friends led us directly to Mike Bryson for finding and finalizing the deal. Mike made sure that it was the car I wanted (after securing it for us via a phone call) and took a lot of time and care to make sure I knew about the various amenities included. He is high energy, personable and very knowledgeable, which made the experience of buying my new car (first time ever) even more exciting and enjoyable. I looked up Mike from advice from a friend and I wasn't disappointed. Mike is a low pressure guy and he lets the cars sell themselves. He probably has the easiest job in the world. Fate intervened when I called into the dealership one Saturday morning which paired me with Mike. I can say after two purchases from this dealer I am always looking to find a way to come back and trade-up because of Mike. His sales technique is far from the cliche, stuffy, in-your-face, good cop bad cop drama that I have experienced with other salesmen. Being laid back, a straight shooter, and never pressuring to get a sale keeps me coming back and referring him as the man to see at Ganley Subaru. Tom L. was able to help us find the perfect car. Our shopping experience was easy going and pleasurable because Tom is not a high pressure salesman. Tom was very knowledgable regarding our questions and really seemed like he was trying to help choose the right car for us instead of pushing us towards higher packaged models. I met Lloyd unintentionally at the end of a long day. My first contact with the dealership was good, I found the vehicle I was interested on the Internet and talked to a sales person. We discussed the features we were interested in and was assured the car had them (i.e.. rain sensing wipers). During the test drive we questioned if the car was equipped with the rain sensing wipers and told yes. After reading the owners after purchase and inquiring with the dealership on this matter we were told this car does not come with rain sensing wipers, sorry. This car also has a DEF system and we were never told anything about this, the owners manual is vague and when inquiring with auto parts stores they do not know what we are talking about. We still do not know where to purchase this or how often it needs to be added.

It is hard to imagine buying a car as being fun but that is what we experienced when purchasing our 2015 Subaru Forester from Dennis and Janet at Ganley Subaru of Bedford. When we were quickly greeted when we entered the dealership and after a short talk with Dennis about what we were looking for in a car we went for a test drive with Janet. She spent a great deal of time explaining the features and instruments of the car, especially the safety features. After returning to the showroom Dennis gave us a competitive trade-in allowance for our old car and clearly explained the price of the Forester, which was also a fair price based on our research on the Internet. When we picked up the car Janet again spent time with us on the features of the car and we were also introduced to the service personnel at Ganley Subaru. Janet also called our insurance company to make sure they had all the information necessary to change our coverage.Both Dennis and Janet were more concerned that we understood the quality and safety features of the car than making a sales. We never felt pressured to buy the car which is something we have experienced in past purchases.


So happy with my Outback! Thank you Joe Walker!

This is the third car that I have purchased from Joe Walker. Each time he has been more than willing to talk me through my decision, which took me quite a while, needless to say he was extremely patient. He is knowledgeable, experienced and a lot of fun to work with. I have purchased 2 VWs from him and I just purchased a Subaru Outback. Love how personal he is, even contacted me the day after I purchased my car to see how I liked it and to see if I had any questions!

Unless you're there for warranty-related service (i.e. free service), I would take your car somewhere else. While the staff are generally polite, their competence leaves a lot to be desired. I've taken my car here for over 2.5 years, mainly because it's the only Subaru shop in town. It's more expensive than your average corner mechanic, but I figured it's worth it for the technicians' specialized knowledge about my car. Plus, it has all the perks of any dealership shop: a comfortable lounge with desks and wifi, a snack bar, free coffee, and complimentary loaner cars and shuttle service to get you on your way while your car is be worked on.But of all the numerous times I've taken my car there (probably once every three months or so), I can count on one hand the times that they HAVEN'T somehow screwed something up. It's been anything from overcharging me (multiple times I was charged for parts put onto another customer's car and had to fight them about it--parts that don't even fit my model!), to breaking/losing another part of my car while doing some kind of repair (and lying about it), to misdiagnosing issues with the car, and they even lost my car keys one time when I came to pick it up--I had to wait for a week without my car while they looked for them, can you believe that?? And all I got was a "sorry about that." Another time, they told me my entire exhaust system would need to be replaced due to a rattling noise coming from the muffler, and they recommended I take it to Bubba's up the road to get the work done and save some money. After wasting 5 hours of my life waiting at Bubba's (which, by the way, is great shop, but it is first-come first served so there is often a line), I found out that there in fact was no issue with the system, and instead a Subaru technician HAD LEFT A TOOL SITTING ON TOP OF THE MUFFLER the last time they worked on my car and that's what was causing the noise. When I took the tool back to the dealership and politely expressed my frustration, I didn't even get a "sorry" this time. There are numerous other examples of them telling me I need some big expensive work done on the car, but each time I've taken it elsewhere for a second opinion, I've been told the opposite it true. I seldom leave without the sinking feeling that I just got screwed.Worse, every time I go there, it seems like they have a completely new staff in the service department, so I can't even feel like I've built a relationship with the technicians because I don't see the same one twice. Considering that Ganley charges customers nearly double for repair work that could otherwise be done at an independent or franchise shop, I'm very dissatisfied. You're better off going elsewhere if you want a professional, reasonably priced, and hassle-free experience.

While our sales associate Shannon was very pleasant and knowledgable, my wife and I were disappointed doubly by our experience at Ganley Subaru of Bedford. 1. Only one of the two cars we arranged to see was available. 2. There was no flexibility shown on the listed price of the vehicle, despite a better deal in the Cleveland area (Adventure Subaru) on the same model and trim of the car BY MORE THAN $1,200; the Sales Manager indicated that being a distant #2 on that make/model in the immediate area was just fine by him. No counter-offer was even made in light of the admittedly better deal and we were given no reason not to pursue a vehicle elsewhere.************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Updated 1/30/14I promptly received a response to my original review and the dealership sought to make a different impression on my wife and I. Although still relatively firm on their pricing, everyone we worked with was extremely polite and management was straightforward in negotiating the purchase, trade, and loan rate. We now drive a car from Ganley Subaru of Bedford, a dealership that strives to make a great impression (even if it happens to be the second time around).
