Payoff of leased car was not done, he forgot to do it. Got bill in the mail for a car we turned in 2 months ago, called finance to get this fixed, they said they took care of it. They did not. Got collection calls. If you go to Freeman Toyota you are asking for the worst experience ever with a dealership.

Freeman Toyota/Used Lot had the friendliest staff. Rudy Cenicero's hands down the best salesman I have ever met. He was friendly and personable. Did not make us feel pressured and most of all made us feel comfortable. I WILL COME BACK FOR FUTURE BUY! We even named our vehicle after him. Thanx to Michael Daniels for his compassion and friendly smile. He made our day.

I recently bought a new Tundra TRD Pro from Troy Thompson. This is the 3rd vehicle (2 tundras, and a prius)I have purchased from Troy and I gotta say, he is about the best you can get for a sales person. The process took less than 2 hours, only because I forgot my insurance card. It would have been a lot quicker. Anyways, Troy is very friendly and knows his stuff! There was absolutely no hassle during any part of the process. They don't try to sell you on anything, and only give you the facts. The finance department was great as well. I think I was in there a total of 15 minutes. If you get Nate, you will he in good hands. This place rocks!

Went to this awful place on Memorial Day weekend. Spent 45 minutes in two cars going on what seemed like a road trip with a man who seemed like he was clueless on where we were going. I kept asking, "should I keep going?" he kept saying, "yeah, I'll let you know when to turn." Then I dealt with Moses. He is a very interesting character to say the least. He kept coming up with numbers and scratching numbers out on his little piece of paper. Moses is incredibly pushy. He doesn't let you say no. It's like a curse word to him. The financial office little man who was in charge of me was incredibly disrespectful. That 24 year old has no clue what the term respect means. He increased the amount on the car payments after Moses and I shook hands on what I wanted. The sales manager is a big joke. I think he is into himself way too much. He acts like he is this high and holy man. WRONG! He is disgusting! I told the little 24 year old smart mouth to go get the "holy than thou" man from his high chair and bring him down to speak with me face to face. We kept going back and fourth on numbers. Mind I tell you that this went on and on for 4.5 HOURS!!! They were trying to sell me a 2012 Camry for $23,000... but here is my mic drop to these losers who are disgusting... I got a 2016 ford focus for $11,000.... Please do yourself a favor, and never go to this horrific place. It'll make you say very bad things. This place needs some serious help. Sadly, after 8 years of being a Toyota Customer, I will no longer respect Toyota because of this experience. Very sad.

Egregious behavior of floor manager Jeff Morris

1
iconoclast on 02/16/2016

Customer Service: 1.0 Buying Process: 1.0

[I'm resubmitting this review per Heather Zwicke's instructions.] After being displeased with the demeanor of the salesman that was attending to my request and having to wait almost a half hour for the car to be brought to me for a test drive, I contacted the sales manager on duty, Jeff Morris, to complain about the whole process. Here's a description of that conversation and subsequent events from a letter I wrote to the General Manager (unanswered), which, I'm hoping, will discourage many prospective buyers to set foot in this place. I asked Morris for five minutes of his time in private. He took me to a side office, where I expressed my dissatisfaction with Bill, the salesman. Even though such complaints occur very rarely in my case, the managers in the past used to be in full control of their customer service skills and use them to pacify rather than antagonize me regardless of whether they believed me or regardless of what they intended to do about the salesman I complained about. Not so Jeff Morris. From the very start, he gave the impression of taking Bill's side. When I mentioned that Bill didn't advise me in a timely manner about the problems he was having in getting the car, Jeff kept repeating the mantra that he did eventually inform me. I then admonished Jeff for not showing requisite customer service skills. Instead of saying something like: "I apologize, sir, for the experience you had. Our dealership's policy is to make you fully satisfied. Would you like me to get you another salesman?", he was continuously on the defensive. He even accused me of raising my voice at him - as if he were some kind of untouchable high priest instead of an individual that's about 30 years my junior. Finally, he said, "So, what would you like me to do?" I said: "Well, I don't think you can do anything for me at this dealership." He immediately changed his demeanor, stated that he wanted me to leave and practically threw me out of. I said, "Jesus Christ, are you throwing me out!?" Of course, that expression, just like "my God", has no religious defamatory connotations and is used in this and other English-speaking countries by hundreds of millions of Christians and non-Christians on a daily basis. His hypocritical answer was: "We're a Christian dealership and we don't like you to use those words." In the same breadth he said, "Now CARRY YOUR BEHIND (he used the stronger three-letter word) OUT!" When I asked for his name, Morris refused to give it to me. I figured out later that his escorting me was designed to minimize any chance of my going upstairs and complaining to his higher-ups. Not willing to play a wilting violet, I called the dealership after I got back home to obtain the owner's or General Manager's e-mail address/phone number. They kept transferring me, and I finally got Morris even though he was the last person I wanted to talk to. He called me a "donkey" (again, he used the stronger three-letter word) and said that our conversation was on a speaker so that the whole dealership can hear it. He kept pulling his Christian creds on me even though he behaved more like a servant of the devil rather than of Jesus. When I hung up on him, he called me back, pretending that he was exercising customer service civility because, in his words, "we were cut off". Apparently, at Freeman Toyota, Jeff Morris has a carte blanche to behave like a bully, insult customers without a justified cause, use a perverted notion of Christianity as a fig leaf for his aggressive mentality, and throw out a customer who himself had voiced an intention to leave the premises. I've never encountered this kind of customer service fiasco before in my 60+ years of life.

I researched a preowned Rav4 on line and knew the options I desired, the asking price of the dealership vehicle, the NADA price of the vehicle, and my NADA trade-in value. Jose was a professional and personable salesman. The sales manager, Chris, was also good to work with and made the deal happen without a strung out negotiation process. I was however not completely satisfied at first because the program vehicle I purchased did not have the extra set of keys. This seemed odd for a vehicle so well maintained and the sales manager agreed to help with cost of the extra key. The service dept was not so understanding and the replacement key was going to cost $250 which was still costly even if the sales manager or salesman split the cost with me. I complained and did not expect satisfaction BUT the salesman, Jose, had the intuition to search through dozens of keys in the lock box and fortunately found the extra set of keys along with the key code bar. Great job Jose! Jose also arranged for a warranty tire to be replaced that had 2 nails and slow leak, thus my trip and review of the Quality of Repairs. Initially I was thinking a lower "star" grading for Service but Jose's perseverance bumped Customer Service to 5 stars. Very good selection of preowned vehicles. Because they are a high volume dealer the service dept can get busy but they can arrange for appointments and they have a huge service staff to keep things rolling.

We purchased a Top of the line Toyota 4 runner from Freeman. The buying experience went well. I I have used their service dept, ever since I purchased the vehicle and they are TERRIBLE!!!! Their customer service is rude, they have left the inside of my car dirty, they have neglected to check important things during the service and they have a very unorganized schedule. I will NEVER buy a vehicle from them again because of their poorly run service dept.

My experience overall was very good. I worked with Kevin Feagins and he was excellent. I purchased a used 2012 Armada. It was in excellent condition with low miles and a fair price. When I picked it up Kevin was ready with the paperwork. I was at the dealership for 1 hour. I did use 3rd party financing which probably helped speed the process along. But Freeman Toyota, and Kevin Feagins were professional and on top of things. Thank you Kevin and Freeman Toyota!

I leased a 2014 Toyota Camry in August of 2014. Two months later I had to take it in because of a moldy/mildew smell coming from the air conditioner. I was told at the time that "Camry's are known for that issue". The unit was cleaned but I was told it was just a temporary fix. When I turned the air on this spring, the smell was back even worse than before. When I called Freeman Toyota they said that there was nothing they could do to fix the issue. I called Toyota and was told their stance was that it was an "environmental issue". They should stand behind their customer satisfaction claim and either fix the problem or replace the car. My wife can't even drive the car because of her allergies.

Plus the finance guy was rude and acted like he was better than me , I was upside down some in my previous car and the salesman actually suggested making it "disapeer" said that things happen to cars all the time and it would be better to start new .i took the base model home to show my wife and When I came back the next day to tell him my wife didn't like the base model he was rude and said that he shouldn't have passed on the sale he had going to talk with us.

I bought a 2013 Toyota Corolla S on Feb. 4 and expressed I wanted a good deal without the extended warranty or Gap Ins. Upon agreeing on a price, I was sent to Finance and the finance guy added both to the contract. He did not explain anything except say sign here, here and here. I looked at the monthly payment and just missed the added insurance that was added for the total price. My bad for not having my glasses because I was so excited about the car. I left and got home and 3 days later found out of the added insurance. I called and went back to dealership which could not remove the added insurance I did not want. I filled out the forms to cancel the insurance and was pretty much ran out of the dealership. It has not been removed from my contract as of 6 weeks later. I am stressing, WATCHOUT, they will sneak whatever they can on the contract if you don't catch it. Also brakes are already gone...doesn't make sense.

We drove in all the way from Abilene, TX, to look at a used vehicle listed on cars.com. Alvin Tolliver was the one to answer the phone as we verified availability of the car, and we worked with him through the whole experience. Unlike some other salespeople and sellers I have worked with in the past, he was very honest and easy to work with. We ended up making an offer on the car and eventually we came to an agreement. Financing was extremely quick and painless. At the end of the deal, there was a hiccup -- only one set of keys was available, and the main owners manual was missing -- but Alvin assured me he'd do his best to get these items from the previous owner and send them to me. I was doubtful (after my past experiences with car salespeople), but a couple of days later, FedEx delivered a package with everything that was missing! We truly had a great experience buying with Freeman, and we'll certainly check them out again next time.

What a nightmare. I worked with Jay, the internet sales manager, we negotiated via phone/e-mail and finally agreed on a price. I did the credit app online and got approved. The last step was to go to the dealer, sign the paper work and drive away with the new car. So I tell my wife and kid to get ready to pick up the new car. Boy was I wrong. When I got there Jay was not there. I was told he had to leave but left everything ready for me, which it was fine with me. It was a Saturday night and he probably had things to do with his family. I was introduced to the most rude and unprofessional finance person I ever met (he looks Middle Eastern male about 5 feet tall) ... He had a bad attitude and poor manners. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. It was late Saturday and he probably did not want it to be there. Since I already agreed on the sum amount of the car I thought it was going to be an easy process. He started trying to sell me the extended warrantee which I said very politely no sir thank you, he tried again to sell me the warrantee and again said politely No sir Thank you. Then he tried again for the third time so that really got me upset. I told him sir you asked me this question 2 times and I said no why you are wasting your time with the same question. He did not like my response so he rushed the process and asked me to sign paperwork without giving me the chance to review it. I told him that I was not going to sign anything without reading it. You could tell in his face that he was upset. Can you believe this guy? Who signs a contract without reading it? The numbers he had on the contract was not what Jay and I agreed on. I expressed this to him. He tried to trick me by decreasing my APR as a result the monthly payment was what I agreed on with my Jay, however he increased the overall car sale total. I was not pleased with his solution as I had agreed on another total with the Jay. At this point I walked away from the deal. I was not happy as I had an agreement with Jay and this guy changed all the numbers. Freemen Toyota should re-train this guy and give him curtsey/customer service training. I will never go back nor recommend this dealer ship to anyone. My advice to you as a customer is to pay attention to all your numbers, especially to the total sale amount. Dont let them fool you with the APR and monthly payment.

This has been a nightmare, I traded in a leased vehicle and Toyota Finance kept contacting me saying I was 30, 60, and 90 days late. I found out that Freeman Toyota had missed up the paper work and Toyota Finance cleared it up, but it had gone on my credit report and they cleared that up. Also, Freeman Toyota charged me $250.00 for a key they said I didn't turn in, which I did and gave it to the receptionist.

As I was in a bad negotiating position due to my poor credit, I believed my salesperson, Dee, would get me the best deal. I was told several options (including life insurance) were required, so I agreed to them. Now, as I struggle to pay the high monthly cost of this 2013 Corolla, I find out from Toyota Financial Services that about $6,000 in extras were not required at all. I feel betrayed and lied to. I would advise you to stay clear of Freeman Toyota.

My dad and I went to Freeman Toyota 11-18-2013. My dad was wanting to trade in his 2011 Toyota camry we look around found a 2013 Toyota sienna. Upon coming to freeman Toyota we did our research we went to Don Davis, Vandergriff and David Mcdavid out of those 3 dealerships Freeman was the best. Now Don Davis, vandergriff and mcdavid were honest.. But our sales consultant Jose Amaya was more knowledgeable and way more informative then the other dealership.. The other dealership were like o you want a new car well he sign this I will be back here's the price this is the best we can do. NOT Jose and the freeman group they work with us and service with a smile. It seem like we were there the whole day but it was worth it best part my dad was happy with his new 2013 Toyota sienna.. I got pressured into buying a car THEY thought was best for me. The car smelt like cigarettes, they said the would get that out ....NOT! When i took the car back for the smoke smell the car i had wanted was there for sale. Mitch from finance said i should drive it to make sure its what i wanted cause i was approved. I told him its the one and reminded him thats what i initially went in for. I left and was to go back the next day to finish the deal. It wasnt ready, they said they would call me when the paperwork was ready. They never called, wouldn't return my calls. Left msgs for salesman, finance, and even their mgrs. Noone would call me back. They cheat and Lie just to get you into a vehicle. My son and I were leaving after they came back with s stupid interest rate because we could buy new or get a discount on another brand vehicle. So here comes the finance managers who says he will give us a lojack installed and the warranty if we get the vehicle. We finally agree and then the paperwork came in the mail and they charged us for the warrany which is disclosed on the form, however there is no disclosure of the lojack they carged us but on the phoen admistted that 'Nothing is free' including $495.00 they charged that is not itemized anywhere on my installment agreement.
