Took my wife's 1016 Honda Accord Touring in for it's first oil change. While waiting our salesman stopped by and asked if we were happy with out Accord. I said we loved it. I told him I wanted to look at the all new 2016 pilot. Stacy brought me the top of the line Pilot Touring Elite. The features on this Pilot blew me away, I called my wife and told her I wanted to trade my 2014 CR-V EX-L, she said OK as long as we didn't owe more than what they would give us on a trade. Stacy Van Pelt worked to my it happy, I would not buy a car from anyone but him, as I know he is honest and always works to get me the best value and strives to make sure we understand the car buying process every step of the way.GREAT CAR, WONDERFUL SALES PERSON< AND HIGHLY RECOMMED DEALERSHIP !!!!

I found a preowned Acura RDX in outstanding condition at this dealer. My wife and I were approached immediately by salesman, Eric Robinson, who worked with us throughout. He knew the vehicle well and was helpful but not pushy. We had plans to check out quite a few other cars at other dealers, but it didn't take long to realize that Economy's was the best car at the best price. Eric was helpful throughout and all the managers I spoke with were professional and courteous. While I didn't quite get the price I wanted, it was due to a Carfax problem with my trade-in, not related to Economy. So, we just bit the bullet and got the vehicle my wife liked the best.

The salesman was courteous and professional. He was very knowledgeable about the car and features. The finance person was also very knowledgeable and courteous. There was no pressure to buy, all the options were presented and we were allowed to make our choices and decisions together without someone constantly standing over us. Some Customers feel that if they purchase several Autos at the same Dealership it will help them at Economy if they go back or refer a potential Customer to Economy Honda in Chattanooga... not now.. they are under new management and there are much better services and Deals at other Dealerships now... so you might want to re-think that trip to HWY 153 and move in another direction. Apparently they have now made enough monies on current repeats and are suffering deaf and blind symptoms or just plain ole 'selective memory'. Make Honda Great Again ... Go elsewhere...

I set up an appointment and drove 30 minutes to look at one specific used vehicle at 1pm. Showed up and after standing around for 10 or so minutes was informed the truck was 15 minutes away getting paint work done for who knows how long. I had made this trip with my wife and 3 kids. I was told sorry. They would let me know when it gets done. Two days later I did get a text from a salesperson trying to be helpful. I was done with this place all ready. Would not matter if they had the absolute perfect truck. They had also posted the vehicle on the website when it was still in Nashville. Not even in town! That should have been a stronger forewarning of how they operate. I know they sold the vehicle quickly regardless and it is very obvious they don't really care. A manager never spoke with me. Dealerships need to value their clients time much better. I don't know who specifically made the error in making the appointment or who sent it off when the appointment had been made. Or why they posted it online when it wasn't even in the same zip code. This kind of behavior will loose business even if it takes a while to see the effects.

Ever since this dealership sold out to Sonic it has went downhill fast. From terrible low ball trade in appraisers to a "don't care" sales and finance attitudes, I can't think of a worse place to shop for a car, new or used. This dealership is a symbol of why car salesman are looked at as the lowest of the low. We loved the 2012 Accord we purchased from here new in 2012 (before Sonic), but after getting ridiculous low amounts on trade offered for the Accord ($2,500.00 less than trade in value) and on my 2014 Dodge Ram on 9/6/16 ($2,000.00 less than average trade in) I purchased my wife a new 2016 Toyota Avalon (traded-in the Accord) and walked away laughing from the joke of a deal on a used Toyota Tacoma for the Dodge. I honestly don;t see how this dump stays in business. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. But, unfortunately, there are people stupid enough to think this place is giving them a deal. I know a negative review like this doesn't even reach the public. but I would love it to at least get to Economy Honda.

I was in the process of signing papers and picking up the car and they said there was a problem. They could not sell me the car at the agreed to price. The car they had quoted would be $3,800 more. I informed them they had quoted two prices as we negotiated a little. So they misquoted twice. I told them that was not my problem. So I left the dealership. This would have been the second Honda I had purchased at this dealership. Not to worry, I purchased a new Honda at another dealership two days later for the same price. Pitiful, bait and switch.

After having two terrible experiences about two years ago with a different dealership in Chattanooga, I was literally terrified of the car buying thing, but my husband and I were at a point where we were fed up with our older two vehicles! Everyone is very courteous and friendly My service was quick and easy I was very disappointed to find out they had not looked at my air filter it is very dirty and with a review of my services it had never been changed . I was hoping the service department was keeping up with everything under the hood of my car but I ended up going and buying an air filter myself and installing it . They seem to recommend a lot of service but when you have a feel the air cleaner it was overlooked .

On 13June16 my daughters vehicle had the tire issue light on. I had her take it to Economy Honda to let them look at problem. Our service rep was Retchie Lopez. He was very helpful. In fact, we left vehicle with him and when we returned he informed us that the only issue was an over inflated tire. We were charged NOTHING for the service. I know of other dealerships that would find a way to charge some sort of fee or charge you for an unrequired service. Again, Economy Honda is the only dealership where I have had this type of service.

I took my car to Economy Honda for service. Dan Baird the manager in the service center made sure I was satisfied with my service. I had previously taken my Honda CRV 2-3 times before with the problem not being resolved. Mr Baird assisted me on this last visit. He evaluated the issue and immediately knew there truly was a problem. He explained to me this was a warranty issue and he would make sure the problem would be corrected. My front driver's seat was moving when I stopped at traffic light on occasion. The part had to be ordered and I also was on the recall list for an air bag issue. Mr. Baird assisted me in obtaining a rental car so I could have transportation while waiting for part to come in and car repaired. I was actually upset when I met Mr. Baird due to I had taken the car in on several occasions without the problem being resolved. Mr. Baird had a very calm mannerism and assured me I would be taken care of and he was true to his word. Thanks for having such an understanding manager in place who actually listens to the customer. This was my first time meeting Dan Baird but if I have a problem and it is not resolved I will be returning to see him because he gets the job done.

So I got up and called my friend who recently purchased a Honda from Michael Chiaravallo. She had nothing but positive things to say and said I should call him. She had his cell number so I called him around 7 A.M. In hindsight that might have been to early but he answered and said he would meet me right away. He was as good as she promised and I left several hours later with a new Accord. This wasn't my first experience with Economy Honda but definitely my best. Thanks Michael!

By far the lowest Honda prices around. Other dealerships act like your hurting them when you ask them to beat economy's prices on new Hondas. Used inventory seems normal compared to other dealerships, but their business strategy is to have high sales of new cars, and they do it well. Our deal took two days to close, we did not agree with their offer on our 2007 Yukon. They called back next morning wanting to make a deal and I told them to call us back with best offer, and they got much closer to where we wanted to be. Only thing I didn't like was the 0.9% interest advertised has strings attached, our credit surpassed the required score but they require 1000$ down which was not mentioned until we were working the final deal out, they wanted to give us 2.??% and we told them we would just wait and do our own financing from credit union for 1.9% interest, and to close the deal right then they ended up giving us around 1.6%. Wife has been happy with accord since once we got use to the cvt transmission.

As I have stated in previous reviews, the reason my family continue to purchase vehicles from Economy Honda is mainly due to Service Department. Every Service Tech that I have ever dealt with has been great. They tell you what type of service you may need and don't try to sell you something you don't need. Miss the muffins that were offered while waiting on service in the old Express Bldg couple yrs ago. Been coming here since 2009.Still don't understand why customers can get free coffee while those who don't drink coffee cannot receive a free coke of their choice instead. This needs to be addressed.Was greeted with smiles and given up to date info on services needed and that have already been taken care of in the past. Great service by all here.Kids area too big and takes up all additional seats needed by other customers.Put a wall up to block off some of that area for us who have no children and would like to have a comfort seat and next to the wall with the tv in our ears !

Did my due diligence online. Got the best price on a new CRV from Heather (internet sales) and decided to drive to Chattanooga from Nashville. I was amazed - this dealer has huge amounts of vehicle on the lot - there were 14 Honda CRV SE trim that day!!!This is larger number than ALL of the CRV's that 2 of the Nashville dealers had on the lot together! I was very lucky to be assisted with my purchase by Mr. Jeffrey Hunneke. He possesses a calm inviting demeanor and unlimited patience. Dealing with him was absolute pleasure, especially comparing him to sales people at Crest Honda (sister store to this dealership) and other Honda dealers in Nashville. There were no "sales tactics", pressure, lies and aggravating remarks such as: "you want us to pay you to drive our vehicle", which I received in writing by a sales person at Darrell Honda in Nashville. I was in an out of the dealership in less than 3 hours driving the exact vehicle I wanted for the exact amount I wanted to pay. I am still not believing how pleasant the whole experience was. Finally, If you live in a driveable radius from Chattanooga and you want to buy a Honda - Economy Honda is your place and Jeffrey Hunneke is your man. I would recommend them highly to all my friends and coworkers.

Had our 2016 Pilot EX in for 3 attempts to repair. Engine had died 2 times while in gear, in traffic, and failed to start on 4 occasions over a 2-month period (starter would engage, but engine wouldn't fire). Also went into "limp mode" at one point when my wife was driving it near Economy (that's how we got involved with them even though the car was purchased at Honda of Cleveland). Retchie Lopez and Chris Holley were our contacts during these unsuccessful attempts to make our Pilot run reliably. Chris told us "Honda was not giving them much help". Finally, after 3 trips to Economy, with them telling us "it's fixed" each time, the car wouldn't start AGAIN! At that point, we had it towed to Honda of Cleveland where their tech removed the engine cover and found that the fuel injection harness was loosely connected, and that it could be easily knocked loose whenever the engine cover was put back in place!

Buyer Beware! We purchased a 2010 Mini Cooper with about 44,000 miles in Mid-October. From Economy Honda a Sonic Dealer in Chattanooga, TN. We were presented a clean Car-fax and a clean check list. We were under the impression the car was in good working order. We were wrong. We discovered an oil leak and a check engine light about a month after purchasing the car. I sent the following letter to the Manager. After several days with no reply I sent the letter to Sonic Automotive directly. 11/26/15 To whom it concern, My name is Mark XXXXX and I recently purchased a 2010 Mini-Cooper from Economy Honda. Overall I was pleased with the experience. I am not, however, as pleased with the condition of the car I purchased, or the fact that I did not receive my teacher discount. I was told it only applied to new cars, but you website clearly stated differently. Generally I have a good eye for cars, especially having spent 12 years in the car business and purchasing more than 15 vehicles from various locations and individuals. Unfortunately, something was apparently missed this time. Before coming to the dealership I chose the car I wanted, examined the Carfax, arranged financing, and valued my trade. I did all this to facilitate a quick in and out. It still took over 6 hours. That is by far the longest it has ever taken me to buy a car. Even with that I was satisfied with my purchase. The problem started a few days later. My wife said she noticed a burning smell coming from the engine area and then noticed a puff of smoke coming from under the hood. I went out and also noticed a faint burning smell (in spite of the rain). I thought this was most likely an engine cleaning chemical burning off the engine from the reconditioning process and the puff of smoke was simply water from the road hitting the exhaust. I told her to watch it and let me know if it continued. It rained for a few days and continued to puff smoke every once and a while. About a week later I drove the car to the store and noticed the smoke and the smell. I thought it smelled like exhaust. When I got home I checked the spot where she parks and noticed several small spots of oil. There was no mention of oil leak on the condition report, so either it was missed or omitted. When we arrived, Trea took the car to service while we looked at cars. We chose a car and purchased the car for my sister. At the end of the process, Trea told me it was in fact an oil leak from the oil pan, and they would pay for the parts if I would pay the labor. I declined as it didnt seem right since I assumed I was purchasing a car that had been inspected and that a Sonic dealership is not in the habit of selling cars with oil leaks. Still confident Economy Honda will make it right I told my sister to go ahead and purchase the car. We did. Singed the papers - bought a warranty, and after 7 hours were ready to leave. Well not yet The sunroof on the car was broken! Trea did promise it would be taken care of, but said it had to be done next week. My sister leaves on Sunday to go back to New York where she goes to school and was planning to leave her car in Atlanta until she returns for Christmas break. We asked if we could bring it back then but he said that would be too long. So now someone will have to drive four hours to drop her in Atlanta so you can fix a faulty sunroof that should have been caught during reconditioning

Buyer Beware!We purchased a 2010 Mini Cooper with about 44,000 miles in Mid-October. From Economy Honda a Sonic Dealer in Chattanooga, TN. We were presented a clean Car-fax and a clean check list. We were under the impression the car was in good working order. We were wrong. We discovered an oil leak and a check engine light about a month after purchasing the car. I sent the following letter to the Manager. After several days with no reply I sent the letter to Sonic Automotive directly.11/26/15To whom it concern,My name is Mark Lutgen and I recently purchased a 2010 Mini-Cooper from Economy Honda. Overall I was pleased with the experience. I am not, however, as pleased with the condition of the car I purchased, or the fact that I did not receive my teacher discount. I was told it only applied to new cars, but you website clearly stated differently. Generally I have a good eye for cars, especially having spent 12 years in the car business and purchasing more than 15 vehicles from various locations and individuals. Unfortunately, something was apparently missed this time.Before coming to the dealership I chose the car I wanted, examined the Carfax, arranged financing, and valued my trade. I did all this to facilitate a quick in and out. It still took over 6 hours. That is by far the longest it has ever taken me to buy a car. Even with that I was satisfied with my purchase.The problem started a few days later. My wife said she noticed a burning smell coming from the engine area and then noticed a puff of smoke coming from under the hood. I went out and also noticed a faint burning smell (in spite of the rain). I thought this was most likely an engine cleaning chemical burning off the engine from the reconditioning process and the puff of smoke was simply water from the road hitting the exhaust. I told her to watch it and let me know if it continued.It rained for a few days and continued to puff smoke every once and a while. About a week later I drove the car to the store and noticed the smoke and the smell. I thought it smelled like exhaust. When I got home I checked the spot where she parks and noticed several small spots of oil. I assumed you did too. I am the car guy. I advise my friends and family on what type of car and where to buy. I think there is a problem with your reconditioning process. I know in the two cars I purchased, things have been missed. I do understand I bought my car as is with no warranty and I have no problem with that. However, I could never imagine that a dealership as large as yours would sell a car with an obvious oil leak. The only question now is how can we deal with these problems.We finally received a call and were told by Shannon Harris the General Manager that it most likely happened after we purchased the car because his guys check the cars out and they get paid to fix anything that needs to be repaired, and thats how the techs make their money. I do know that when I traded my 2007 Jetta they told me everything that was wrong with it, and that is was in such bad shape it was only worth 2000. They eventually gave me 3000. Whats interesting is I saw it listed that night on their website listed for sale for $6000.00. How could they have reconditioned such a bad car in such about an hour? Shannon did offer to split the 700 repair cost with me. Funny thing is they couldnt do the repair they had to take it to a specialty shop Makes me wonder if they really checked this car out or if they knew about it and decided to sell it anyway. We were also told the check engine light was related to the oil leak, and the light was off when we picked it up. Of Course it reappeared a day or so later. I took it to a local Mini shop to get to the bottom of the check engine light and was told it had a bad fuel pump, and to take it to a Mini dealer, which I did. This is what they presented me: Copy did not show up. Thats $2800 plus $700 for$ 3500.00 in just over 3 months. This shows 2 more oil leaks. Thats a total of 3 if you include the one previously repaired. Seriously, how can a tech miss 3 oil leaks. How can a car develop 3 oil leaks in 3 months? The technician at Mini told me it was highly unlikely that the car would throw all these codes in such a short period of time, never mind develop 3 oil leaks at the same time. I spoke with the Economy Hondas Manager Shannon again and voiced my concerns and tried to trade this car in on a new car. They Valued the Mini at $8000.00 a car they just sold to me for just under $13000.00, and told me welcome to owning a Mini or BMW for that matter. I simply replied well I sure didnt expect it right off the lot. Now in fairness I bought the car. I failed to have it checked out, and I didnt purchase their $3800.00 warranty. This is my mistake. It is my mistake for assuming that I was buying from a reputable dealer. My mistake for assuming a clean Car-Fax and clean vehicle inspection meant something. I just hope this helps someone else. You have to ask how long was the check engine light on? Was the car even inspected? Do they care about the quality of car they are selling their customer? The answer is hard to prove, but feel free to draw your own conclusions and make your own decision to buy from any Sonic Automotive dealer.

When it recently came time to purchase a car I knew exactly where to go! My fiance had recently purchased a 2013 CR-V from Economy Honda and I had tagged along with her. We were both very impressed with both the dealership and, in particular, Don Scoggins. Don takes a very low-key approach and never once did either of us feel pressured. He was honest and up-front about every point in the process. We appreciated his openness and knowledge about the Honda product. I had researched the inventory on-line and found both her CR-V and the 2014 Honda Pilot that I purchased. Economy has one of the most extensive inventories of any dealership we looked at. The Honda Pre-Owned Certified program is definitely one of the most extensive of its kind. Mike Bawgus and Jason Beasley in the Finance Department were both great to deal with. Again, no pressure, very knowledgeable and just plain nice guys! Don't anticipate having to replace either of these cars for a long while, but when the time comes we'll be going back to Economy Honda and Don Scoggins!

Just wanted to state that I had a scheduled appointment for a routine oil change & a check on an issue. My car was only driven 1/4 of a mile for the issue so I am not sure what took so long. I have never been so frustrated. After asking 2 times, I finally said I need to leave. It took 3 hours to do this..with an appointment. Why have an appointment? I saw so many other customers come and go. I was never told you would be here for 3 hours and I should not been there that long. I am glad you had snacks on hand since I arrived before lunch and stayed well after.

First thing I chatted with internet manager and she sent the information about the car we wanted. We negotiated our trade 2011 BMW 335i which took no more than 10 minutes, we were very satisfied with the agreement..Our finance guy got the final documents with no issues. Our salesman was Eric Robinson he stayed with us until we walked in the dealership, until we drove off the lot. He sit down with my wife showed her all the features before we got on the road, so if you look at Economy Honda ask for Eric Robinson he was great! But the entire staff was very professional. As we were waiting on paper work my wife was looking around found some accessories she would like to add to vehicle and the Accessory Sales Manager John Carlisle helped her out, as he related to my wife what his wife liked added to their car. So if you have a Honda and want to add that extra touch with accessories, you can't go wrong. I see why the are call the superstore!

From the first call with Amanda to finally coming in person to the dealership, the entire experience was phenomenal - truly second to none! All of the employees at Economy Honda treated me like a VIP customer by keeping up via email, phone calls, and mail. They spared no expense helping to arrange all the paperwork for 2 different addresses and were just a pleasure to work with from day one. The dealership itself was very clean and well-furnished. Everyone was exceptionally friendly. And of course, you can't beat those prices! It was the primary reason we chose Economy Honda in the first place!

Had been looking for a new car for months. Initially look at Hyundai, but then switched to Honda, after I rented both brands over a period of two weekends. Spent all night looking at inventories for all dealers in GA. At the end of the search, I decided to look at nearby states and that is how I found Economy Honda. First thing I noticed is that they had their prices upfront on their website. No more, "give us a call", or "click here for your internet special price", to be forwarded to just a leads page. In comparing their price to the 'published' invoice price of my desired vehicle, it was obvious, they were offering a great price. I negotiated it down, just a tiny bit further, until I was satisfied. They agreed. Until vehicle pickup I dealt only with "Heather" via texting. Any documents I asked for were immediately sent to me. Then my finance guy got the final documents no issues. Got to the dealership to ask for "Heather", as found she didn't work the floor (internet only), but I was given SAL, who was very pleasant. Sal instantly gave me the keys to the vehicle and told me to have a nice test drive. He did not even ride along, so I could enjoy it and check out the system. He was an excellent person to converse with and has a good personality.Noticed a little swirl spot on the rear passenger bumper and while I was taking care of the business end, he sent them to wash the car and buff it out. Unfortunately it was dark when business was completed, so the car looked fine. Until I put it under the light. He had his manager, Robert, witnessed that there was still a problem. But with the detailers gone, they ask me to come back and it would be handled. So I'm heading back tomorrow, Friday to get it handled, which is a long way because I live in the Atlanta market. Let's hope they fulfill their promise to get it straight.
