Drove 5 hours to have our Outback in for warranty work because we weren't happy w/ the other dealers half the distance from us. Are we ever glad we did!! The extra distance & time was worth every minute of the 10 hour round trip. DuTeau stands miles apart from the others we've dealt with in this area. Although we had negative experiences to relate about their competition, not one of the numerous employees we dealt with had a bad word to say about them. They simply apologized that we weren't happy w/ our past experiences & hoped that they would be able to do better. That, in & of itself speaks volumes to me about their professional integrity. They were so unbelievably attentive, genuinely concerned w/ the inconvenience & negative experience we suffered w/ our last Subaru purchase and went way above & beyond to make our wait there comfortable that we ended up leaving w/ a brand new Outback which wasn't planned at all. I can honestly say that it was due to their forthright & honest manner along w/ their unequivocal consideration of our situation that prompted us to consider trading in our 2014 for a 2017. We certainly didn't go there w/ that idea in mind. The entire staff that we dealt with (from 3 separate dept's) treated us w/ the utmost respect, attentive concern & genuine interest as well as a personal touch which made us feel as if we were very important to them - even 'tho they were extremely busy on the last day of the month & were even short-handed due to a last minute illness in their service dept. They all bent over backwards to make us feel like truly valued customers despite the fact that they stayed 2 hours past closing time to wrap up our sale...including having the car washed as well! Even the finance specialist, Matt Lehnert, was outstandingly personable...never rushing us but taking the time to joke around & make sure we knew we were valued even 'tho we kept him 2 hours late when his visiting father was waiting. Our sales consultant, Dan Belling, was so helpful w/ understanding all the new options of the Outback & explained so many of them in great detail - again despite the fact that he was with us until 10:00PM & never *once* made us feel rushed. His unparalleled service didn't stop after all the papers were signed, he even helped us transfer everything from the old Outback to the new one, as well as several follow-up phone calls just to make sure everything was good w/ the new car, to see if we had any questions or concerns & to thank us again for our business. Also to assure us that if we had any questions at all in the future not to hesitate to contact him. A couple of items that we accidentally left in the car we traded in were returned to us the very next day in the mail & Dan even sent us a picture of the items so that we wouldn't worry that they were missing. This level of salesmanship not only rarely exists today but I personally have never experienced it...and considering the reason we began buying Subarus was due to an outstanding dealership in AZ I really never thought we find one that equaled it. DuTeau has *far and away* surpassed it. I (obviously) can't say enough about this phenomenal, extraordinary, unparalleled dealer!! If you are new car shopping, you *won't* be disappointed w/ a Subaru & you most definitely won't be disappointed w/ DuTeau. You simply cannot go wrong w/ that combination!

My wife and I recently purchased 2017 Subaru Outback from DuTeau Lincoln and Dan Bellings. They were professional, courteous, patient, straightforward, easy to work with, and very helpful throughout the entire car buying process. Additionally, due to unique circumstances, we had to bring our dog to the dealership for the test drive and to complete purchase transaction.....their staff was accommodating throughout and even brought our dog some treats! Just purchased a new Outback and worked with Dan Belling. The whole experience was excellent. I've never dealt with a car dealership before outside of family so wasn't sure what to expect. Dan was no-pressure whatsoever, answered my silly questions in stride and was straight forward in explaining the options that were before us. He even let us drive different models without having to ride along. I didn't experience that at the two other places I test drove vehicles. I don't care for wheeling and dealing. When we had the car configured the way I wanted, he came back with a price that we felt was very fair for both sides and went with it. I didn't want to purchase a car off the lot but wanted to built specifically what I wanted. He didn't bat an eye about it and got it ordered for us. Love the car and can't say enough about the no pressure, positive experience we had with Dan and DuTeau Subaru.

Outstanding really is Not a strong enough word to describe our experience with Dan Belling at Du Teau. We had previously bought an Outback from Dan and was really impressed...Therefore Dan was our first and ONLY choice when wanting to buy our New Legacy... Dan exceeded all expectations! He made the buying experience calm, friendly and enjoyable. Never insulting (unlike Other Subaru dealers that are in Omaha). The Du Teau family makes you feel welcomed from the moment that you step on the lot. No pressure and are always listening to you as the buyer. Dan is incredible... He is so knowledgeable, kind and really does work with you in getting the best "Deal" that you can get. He/they stayed late to accommodate us and never felt that they were going out of their was in doing so. Dan has continued in Contacting us to make sure that we are happy for our purchase and we know that he no doubt sincere. Also...In both purchases that we have made we NEVER had to deal with the "Take-over" guy...always Dan! Very much appreciated... Their sales techniques are not to pressure or to "gang up" on you. Our experience in accepting delivery of a new 2015 Subaru Outback from DuTeau was a stress free event. Dan Billing is an excellent Sales Consultant, and he knows his product. He took care of every detail, including getting us acquainted with Service Advisor Jeff Johnson to have our old (2009) OB checked out before transferring it to our Granddaughter. The entire staff knew the DuTeau Way and made it very easy on us. Dan Billing took all the time we wanted to explain our new OB, and explained all of the new technology and had us feeling very comfortable and ready to hit the road without worrying about anything. After spending stressful winter mornings trying to turn onto a busy intersection with the front tires spinning, we decided our next vehicle should be all-wheel drive. We researched many vehicles for our needs and budget and the Forester made the final short list (along with the Nissan Rogue, Mazda CX5, Toyota RAV4 and Honda CRV). As many people do, we did as much research as we could on-line. We knew what people were paying on average for these vehicles in our area and were not interested in financing. What a breath of fresh air when we drove onto the Du Teau Subaru lot. Dan Belling made first contact. He introduced himself, listened, answered questions and ran down vehicles in his inventory that might fit. Dan was the very opposite of the caricature of a car salesman - quiet, thoughtful, patient. We test-drove the Forester and left to check out the Nissan nearby. The experience was night and day in terms of the car and the atmosphere. After trying to make sense of the lot, we finally went inside to ask and WAIT for a salesperson. He seemed preoccupied and quickly produced a Rogue for us to test drive - no questions about trim levels, color, etc. I digress - anyway it was awful. When we returned to Du Teau, Dan was with another couple but he snuck away to touch base, apologize and say he needed about another 30 minutes to wrap up. So we took the time to test-drive another Forester with a higher trim just for fun... and fun it was. When Dan was finished we told him we wanted the vehicle with the higher trim and we had plans at a certain time, so we had a bit of a time crunch. He was very responsive to this. When we told him we weren't interested in financing, he didn't bat an eye and seemed to sense that we were in no mood to have someone try to sell us a payment plan. He ran down Du Teau's price for the vehicle we wanted and our trade-in allowance. We countered and he said he'd check with the sales manager. At this point I was concerned he'd let us sit for a while (we'd been through this before), but 30 seconds later he was back and said we had a deal. He sent us to the business manager who acknowledged that we were in a hurry and had everything ready. Dan was concerned that he didn't have the time to explain some of the nuances of driving the Forester and followed up with a phone call and a couple of e-mails just to let us know he was available if we had any questions. This review was long, but warranted. We've been through some awful car-buying experiences and it's great to know in advance where we'll be going from now on... and we'd like to share that feeling!

If you want to buy a New or Used Subaru from DeTeau Subaru, you must work with Dan Belling. He is HONEST and has a lot of INTEGRITY. I bought the Outback from Dan without ever seeing the vehicle. Bought the Outback from DeTeau in Lincoln, Nebraska and had it shipped to Greendale, Wisconsin. I worked closely with Dan over the phone and via email. He was very responsive to any and all of my questions. I never bought a vehicle over the internet before and I never thought that I would. The Outback was for my wife and she knew what she was looking for and we found it at DeTeau. Working with Dan was very easy and his honesty proved to be true when the Outback arrived in Wisconsin. It was everything he said it was and more. The most important fact in the entire transaction is that my wife loves the Outback. Need a Subaru? We live in central Nebraska and the nearest Subaru dealer is Duteau's in Lincoln. I had to travel alone to Lincoln to look at vehicles, do test drives and make decisions. Dan Belling at Duteau's Subaru was so helpful and friendly, it made me feel at home, and not "alone" in the buying process. It was a super day when my husband came with me to Duteau's to sign the papers and drive home in our new Subaru Forester. Dan still e-mails us to see how we are doing and answer questions. It was an extremely helpful and positive experience in buying a vehicle.

Since the extremely high demand, its very rare to find a 2015 WRX on the lot (at least in the NE area), which means you have to place an order for it. I have been doing lots of homework online about shopping a new car, and people have mentioned that its very difficult to negotiate the price for a car which is NOT on the lot. When I initially sent out emails for getting a quote, I really dont have lot of hope about getting the WRX eventually. As I expected, one dealership at Omaha even offers a price beyond MSRP. However, the email I got from Dan Belling at DuTeau really kept my hope alive. The price he offered is very reasonable (especially for a brand new model) if you had done the homework. More important, rather than trying to sell you the car they have (or will have), I could tell he is trying to get the car you want. After talking to him with another several emails, we went to the dealership for finalizing the order. In about one hour, we have finished the paper work for the order (which including sale price and reasonable trade-in value). After about nine-week waiting, my WRX has finally arrived. Of course, Dan have been updating with me about any possible information (VIN and ETA) during the waiting period. So we went to pick it up on last Saturday, it only took us about 2 hours to finish the rest sale procedure. The Finance part went very well and I didnt see any tricks some other dealers often use. All the paperwork have been explained very clearly so we know what we were doing. Before we drove away, Dan has spent considerable time in introducing all the features, warranty and service related to the vehicle. Overall, we are really happy and satisfied with the whole buying process especially with the assistance of Dan. BTW, thanks for the tips for driving a manual. PS: This is the 1st time I am writing a review of car dealership and also this is my 1st Subaru.

We just purchased a 2014 Subaru Impreza Sport from Dan Belling at Duteau Subaru. We did not know Dan before this experience, nor did we check out the comments on this page, so we were pretty much anonymous to Dan when we contacted the dealership by e-mail on an advertised sale. Dan contacted us by e-mail and offered to answer any questions or set up a test drive. We were wanting to trade in our old Suzuki on a newer car for our son, and Dan's low key, knowledgeable approach was much appreciated. We knew what we could afford and were honest with him from the get-go. Dan didn't try to haggle, and took our offer seriously, presenting us with five different payment options based on what we could pay. The whole process was positive, and sincerely appreciated.

In the past two years we have bought two new Subarus from Dan Belling at DuTeau. Both experiences were outstanding, whether we were buying a car off the lot or placing a special order (we did one of each!). Dan is extremely knowledgeable and has a low-pressure, consultative style that makes it a pleasure to shop for a car. His follow through via e-mail and phone was timely and very thorough. When it came to pricing negotiations (which we did via e-mail), these were straightforward with no game playing or hidden fees. Dan's e-mails contained very clear and detailed information regarding the pricing, options, financing, etc. The car we ordered was exactly as promised and Dan kept us up to date every step of the way once the order was placed. The follow up after the sale has been tremendous and their service department is also extremely customer service and satisfaction oriented. We highly recommend Dan and DuTeau's!

I had a great experience at Duteau Subaru. Dustin Jorgensen was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He never pressured me, answered all my questions, gave me good advice, and was honest and sincere. I couldn't recommend this dealership enough. They are doing things the right way; they put the customer first, and aren't just trying to sell, sell, sell. Everyone there is friendly and makes you feel comfortable and at ease with the whole process. I can't imagine now going anywhere else in Lincoln for a vehicle. We bought a used 2010 Toyota Camry from DuTeau last month. All I can say is it was a wonderful experience. Our sales person, Gena Roth did an outstanding job working with us and her service department to correct the problems our mechanic found with the car. They came down on the purchase price (not completely down to my original offer, but still came down). The thing that stood out to me the most was their no-questions-asked approach to fix the items that needed attention. After all was said and done we ended up with new front struts, all new tires, two new hubcaps, an alignment, and a new windshield. All at no charge to us! I was amazed. Then when we picked the car up it was clean and detailed. It truly felt like we were buying a brand new car.

I have bought and Silverado and a Impreza from Dan Belling at DuTeau Subaru. I really enjoy working with Dan because he is very strait forward with what he can do for a price and is very helpful. Dan answered every question I had and if he did not know the answer he looked it up and got back to me within an hour. Duteau Subaru seriously makes car buying painless!! This is the second vehicle that we have purchased from them, and my extended family has purchased many more. I generally hate the experience of buying a car, but the sales at Duteau Subaru aren't high pressure and it seems like they are willing to EARN your business and treat you as a valuable customer. The exact vehicle we wanted was not available on their lot, so they found the vehicle for us and arranged for delivery. We pre-arranged our vehicle lease with them and they had the paperwork ready for us when my husband arrived. We wanted a few additions to the vehicle and they were installed immediately and was ready to go upon arrival. Kurt is a great person to work with and highly recommend asking for him personally. We choose to drive up to Lincoln, NE from Kansas City, MO because we know we will have an excellent experience. We will be back many more times, I am sure.

I went to DuTeau Subaru a couple of weeks ago looking to meet with John Logsden about a slightly used car at the DuTeau Chevrolet lot. I left wanting a new Subaru! Purchased a new 2014 Legacy from Dan Belling and the process and experience was nothing short of a pleasure! My wife and I had been in to the dealer on several occasions before that and had explained to Dan Belling in the past that we would not be able to make a purchase that day or anytime in the near future for that matter. We had test driven a few different vehicles over the span of a few months and not once did Dan ever try to get "high pressure" with us or "snub" us off because we weren't going to make a purchase that day. He always told us that when we felt ready and able to make a purchase then he would sit down with us and talk numbers. Dan was always willing to answer any questions we had either in person, phone, or email at any time and never became impatient or high pressure as mentioned earlier. I had read several reviews on Omaha dealers and then I came across Deuteau Sabaru and everyone had nothing but good things to say-- and it turns out they were right! I didn't want to deal with pushy sales people or someone trying to convince me to buy something I wasn't interested in. I knew what I wanted, and it was nice that Dan was able to confirm all of the wonderful things I had heard about the Outback-- plus he gave me so much more to look forward to! We also worked with Dustin-- who was very helpful and patient in the buying process-- which was extremely important since we had to bring our 2 1/2 year old with us. He was very understanding when she was impatient. My only hang-up was it took 2 1/2 hours to do all the paper work.-- but I think they would have had everything ready for us.. if we would have had our mind made up on which model we were going to get before we went. Oh the other great thing-- there was a children's play room in the waiting area-- which was a blessing!! WE are extremely happy with our purchase and very excited to take our next long car trip-- and thats a lot to say when you have a two-year-old. --but we know that next trip will be enjoyable in our in 2014 Subaru Outback with all the storage and comfort it has to offer.

We had been referred to Dan by a family friend who'd had a similarly top notch experience, and weren't disappointed. It was a totally low pressure sales environment (Dan touts himself for this), and Dan was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and obviously loves his Subarus :). We got a more than fair trade-in (for a 20-year old Volvo) and a couple thousand otherwise knocked off the MSRP for our manual Premium Outback! Love the car and will go back to Dan and Duteau again!

I had an excellent experience buying a new Subaru from DuTeau Subaru. The sales associate (Dan) was very friendly and very helpful. I started by building the car I wanted on Subaru's internet site and they sent the information to DuTeau and Dan responded right away. From there we built an e-mail relationship and then my wife and I can in to test drive a 2013 XVCrosstrek and a 2014 Forester. Dan did an excellent job of describing everything that I could think of to ask (and stuff I would not have thought about) in regards both to the Crosstrek and Forester. He let us test drive both of them. With the Crosstrek (which is the one I came in more interested in) we drove it a few miles to our house to see how it would fit in the garage. Dan seemed to have no concern about the amount of time we took to get back. This made us feel that he trusted us. I told him what I wanted (Crosstrek blue or orange with moon roof) and he found one in the incoming inventory and by the next day I had given DuTeau my deposit on the car. The car was suppose to come in around June 28 and was actually EARLY which was impressive. Dan did a great job of showing us how to use the car, helped me setup my phone with the Bluetooth and so on. He answered all questions and is still available to answer questions if I need them. I intend to go through him the first time I bring it in to be serviced. He turned us over to Matt who did the sales paperwork. Matt was also very friendly and did a great job explaining the extended warranty (security) program from Subaru. The next day a couple items that Dan had ordered for me (that the car did not come with but I had wanted) arrived and he was willing to bring them out to our house. Instead I came in because I wanted to purchase the warranty extension. Matt stayed until I got there so he do the paperwork with me. Dan had to leave but made sure someone was there to direct me to his desk to get the items that had come in. His follow up has been excellent. Not pushy at all but just enough to know I was not forgotten and was important to them. I highly recommend DuTeau Subaru. I still need to experience the Service department which will be in the not too distant future when I bring it in for the first oil change, etc. I am confident the experience with them will be excellent as well. I have had the Subaru for 2 weeks now (just licensed it yesterday) and am very happy with it so far.

While bringing in my Subaru for routine maintenance, the male from the service department brought be back to my vehicle while it was on the lift. He pointed out a major leak from the head gaskets underneath my vehicle and explained to me that I needed to have it repaired immediately. This charge would have been a couple thousand dollars. At the time, I was in college and clearly did not have that much money. He told me the car would not make it another trip home (over 300 miles) and that it needed repaired that day. I have had past experiences with service men stating my vehicles have needed repairs when they did not so I did not take his advice and get it repaired that day. I took my vehicle in for a second opinion elsewhere and they claimed the major leak he was speaking of was nonexistent and that there was not a problem at all. I complained to DuTeau about what their service department told me and they claimed they never said such a thing. 50,000 miles and several service checks later and my Subaru is still running just fine! I was extremely disappointed that they tried to scam a young college girl who knows nothing about vehicles.

I found the vehicle on car.com and sent Dan Belling an email asking about the condition. He sent me more photographs of the vehicle and his professinoal opinion of the vehicle. I emailed Dan an offer, he countered and the deal was nearly done. He agreed to hold the vehicle for me to come look at. The vehicle was everything he said it was. Clean, nice and no scratches. We did out test drive, loved the vehicle and within a few minutes we were driving taking our three hour trip back home. Why would anyone drive three hours where there are plenty of vehicles to choose from in any community? Price. The prices in my town are 3000 higher than what Dan Belling and Duteau Subaru had. I loved the experience and would recommend Dan Belling and Duteau Subaru to anyone, anytime.

Great experience! I spent all day Saturday test driving cars. My wife worked til 1 pm, then joined me. We found a Toyata Rav that we liked and had a pretty good deal working on that. I told my wife that she needed to drive the Outback before we make our decision, as I test drove one a few weeks prior. She was most impressed with the Outback in comparison. Needless to say, I was wearing down, and we showed up around 4:20 and Kurt was the unlucky one to meet us when we entered. I had worked with Dan Belling prior to our "pop in" visit. I have to tell you that your team was most impressive. I worked Kurt over pretty good, but he was a good sport, and I am sure he was thinking, at the end of his day this guy is nuts. Kurt, Matt, Eric and the person getting the car ready worked hard to get us on our way, but not making us feel bad for making them work late. Kurt could have easily been out of there -1 hour earlier than he was, but he even stayed with us outside and helped my wife with the Bluetooth on her phone, and pointed out many other great things. After meeting Dan Belling at Duteau Subaru, I finally found a salesman who put my worries at ease. Dan was very pleasant and forthright from the very beginning. He did not pressure my wife and me, and he made our car buying experience the best we've ever had. I normally don't take the time to write reviews, but Dan deserves it. We've only had our Impreza a few days, but if we are satisfied with the car as much as we are with Dan, we will definitely go to Dan for our next one. All car salesmen should be required to emulate Dan Belling. The car buying experience would be so much better for everyone if they did.

Hadn't bought a new car for awhile, was a little nervous from previous experiences of car buying... Duteau and Dan were very professional and low key, and made the process a very stress free experience. We got the car we wanted, and drove it home the same afternoon. We worked with Dan Belling, first through internet contact. Dan's the guy to see, low key, pleasent to visit with and very knowledgable about the Subaru line. He made the entire buying process very easy. As far as the rest of the sales staff, everyone was quite willing to help in any way they could.

We went online to check for availablity and any specials. After chosing a vehicle that we liked we clicked on Duteau price. The next day they emailed the information back and we sat up an appointment to test drive a Legacy. After deciding to buy the Legacy Dan was very detailed in going through the operation of the car, manual and even showing us how to set up Blue-Tooth. We have never had a sales person spend that much time going through everything. We were very happy with our car buying expereince.

I have purchased 2 vehicles from Duteau Subaru in the past year. Both times they went above and beyond which is why I drive from Omaha to Duteau when I am in the market for a new vehicle. When we got our Outback we were going out of town the next day and they worked late to make sure that we could take it. When I came back 1 year later for my WRX, they not only were familiar faces as both my salesman and the sales manager were still with the company, but they remembered me. Duteau is a great dealership with very clean facilities and friendly employees. When I am looking for my next vehicle I will be back.

Since our purchase we have used their parts department and their prices are very competative and we received our parts within a few days.
