My best car-buying experience yet!

This was my first experience with Donohoo, but it definitely won't be the last. Wesley Prater was possibly the first car salesman I've ever dealt with who did not pressure me, while still being as friendly and helpful as possible. I notified him concerning a vehicle I found on an internet search, we came to an easy agreement over the price, and he had it transferred to their dealership in Birmingham to save me the lengthy drive to Fort Payne. All the paperwork was there and ready for me to sign when I arrived. Both Wesley and the folks in Birmingham made this by FAR my best car-buying experience ever. I'll be back!

2016 Chevy Equinox Purchase

Was a slow purchase several delays, however Patrick was a stellar salesman and helped resolve all the issues reassuring my wife and I would have everything taken care of before we left the dealership. I would say after the rocky start the closing and taking ownership of our new Equinox was nothing more than perfect. I will tell my family and friends that it is worth the drive to Fort Payne and visit Donohoo Chevrolet. If we trade or look at getting a new vehicle this dealership will get first looks. 2015 Chevrolet Camaro

Drove 2 1/2 hours to get a great deal on this car. Everyone was upfront and honest. They even gave me a better deal than I thought I was gonna get. Cars.com listed this car as coming with floor mats, and they ordered me brand new ones with red trim that match the car. I was very pleased with my car and my experience at their dealership.

I live four hours from this dealership and was able to work out all the details remotely prior making the trip and final purchase. We recently purchased a 2016 Chevy Traverse from Donohoo. Jared Shelton was our salesperson. We found the vehicle we were interested in online and came specifically to look at that vehicle. We test drove it, liked it and decided to purchase it. I agree with another post - the most hassle-free new car purchase we've ever made. We would highly recommend Donohoo in the future.

Eric Varner was my salesman when I bought a certified used 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. Eric was friendly and very attentive and quick to reply to emails. Donohoo worked with me to come to a price we were both comfortable with and gave me an offer on my trade-in that I thought was fair. I dropped them down a star on facilities because there was a lot of construction going on when I was dealing with them. I have no doubt their facilities are top notch now. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Donohoo Chevy or Eric Varner again.

2015 Silverado White Diamond 4x4

We purchased our new 2015 Silverado LT 4x4 on July 31. After searching locally all week for a new truck to replace my 2003 Silverado and a couple of undesirable dealer experiences, I found this truck and one other similar truck on the Donohoo website. I called and spoke with Eric Varner and he provided an email back to me within 15 minutes that had all the pricing and information I requested regarding both vehicles. We drove to Fort Payne that afternoon to drive both trucks. Eric had both sitting out front, already cooled down, and ready to for us when we arrived. Eric described all the details, options, and differences in both trucks and was pleasant and professional with no pressure at all or typical sales techniques. We discussed our trade in value over the phone as we were travelling back the next day to close the deal and he offered us what I believe was a fair and honest amount. Eric and Dillion had all the paperwork done just as we had agreed upon when we arrived. There were no games, no back and forth, no pressure, no hidden cost crap that I had walked away from with prior dealers. Twyla, from customer service, called to follow up on my purchase and I expressed my appreciation to her as well. Truly a top-notch and pleasant buying experience. Thank you guys for your honesty and fairness. It is rare and very much appreciated. I've already shared my experience with friends and family and will continue to do so. Love my new Silverado!

I ended up at Donohoo after a very poor experience with a large Chevrolet dealer in lower Bham.I first saw Donohoo online and then contacted there sales staff.Very friendly / NO PRESSURE / a lot lower price than the Bham dealer / nice drive to Ft. Payne Al.

New Truck

We wanted a new Colorado to our own specifications. Jimmy Thomas worked to find us one within 400 miles, but being a vehicle in high demand he was unable to locate one. So he ordered one from the factory to our exact specs. We had it in about 8 weeks. He was honest in his pricing and kept all of his commitments.

Great dealership!

I purchases a 2014 GMC Terrain from Donohooo Chevrolet in Ft. Payne on December 30, 2014. What a way to end the year! Every member of the staff with whom we cam in contact was very helpful, friendly, and eager to assist. I have to give extra praise to Steve Leatherwood. He came by me several times and was always smiling and friendly. When we had prepared to leave on 12/29, we decided to circle the lot and just look at the vehicles - SUVs for sure. One salesman had said he could not find a Terrain for my husband to try out as far as getting in and out of the vehicle. (He has Parkinsons syndrome and is very off-balance.) I noticed beside us there were 2 Terrains and on the other side came Steve salking on the lot. I told him what I have just stated and he immediately went and got a key for one of the Terrains. This act led to us buying a Terrain and also one that was much more expensive than we had planned. From Start to finish, Steve was super! Then Jimmy came on the scene and thanked me and also got in the Terrain and educated me on the features. This was very useful. I can not say enough about the staff being cordial and helpful - Troy, and even Dillon who wrote the sale up. To walk into a dealership and be met by friendly staff means everything. I went to one and walked all over the lobby and no one ever came out to see me. Yep! I left and went to Donahoo. Also, my son had just purchased a car from Donahoo and referred me there. I look forward to a long, pleasant relationship with Donahoo. I have already referred my pastor to this dealership!...and will refer more!

Excellent Service with Salesman, Jimmy Thomas.

I was searching for a particular Chevrolet. It had to be black with black interior or red with black interior. And very clean inside. We saw one at another dealership but the car was not well kept. The salesman from Donohoo Chevrolet called me and said I have the perfect car. We went to the dealership and yes it was the perfect car. Jimmy Thomas our salesman did everything possible to make the deal work and give us the best amount for our trade in. We are so happy that he found us and now we can say we found him. My husband and I won't go anywhere else in the future for another car but DONOHOO CHEVROLET.........

My wife an I wanted a dependable vehicle that was safe and feature abundant, and would also accommodate our large family. After much research and price shopping, we decided on a 2015 Suburban LT 4WD, which appears to have been a good move, as it will be the ticket for trekking our 3 adventurous kids across the highways and byways to various events. Our Sales Pro, Jimmy Thomas, was a pleasure and we appreciated his candor and positivity. Jimmy made it all so easy, and he took the time after the sale to go over the many features, including calling OnStar to assist in setting up our account. Thanks Jimmy! Poor Service Department wont use again

We took our truck into the Service Department on Tuesday and listed fixing the AC as the number one item on our list. On Friday they called to tell us that there were other things that they were fixing and did not mention anything about the AC. I questioned them about the AC and they said that they would have to look into that. On Monday they called to say that a new compressor was needed for the AC and they would have to get the part. They would not have it ready until late Tuesday. We needed the truck to prepare for a trip and we were leaving on Wednesday with our trailer. We had to push back our departure and had to wait at the dealership for an hour for the truck to be ready at the end of the day. I believe they were given ample time to fix the truck and did not attend to it in a timely fashion. They also did not put "service" as their top priority. I will not be back.

Donohoo Chevrolet, Fort Payne, Alabama

I didn't know that Donohoo had bought out Woodson-Jones until I arrived and had my work done (warranty recall, oil and rotation). The operation is the same as it was except for the computers? They were getting all new computers and system. The result of this was a bit of confusion in some of the transactions. This was their first day with the new computers and system...so they were working out some of the bugs. The warranty recall work, oil change and tire rotation was done quickly and at a reasonable price.
