Being a 72 year old senior citizen, I've dealt with many dealerships and salesmen over the years. In my opinion, Dave Edwards Toyota and salesman Tony Jackson are as good as it gets. They were courteous, friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was purchasing. They made me fell like I was a special customer even though I was a complete stranger from out of town.Don't think you can beat their prices and I guarantee you will not beat their customer service! Tony met and crushed my skepticism with professionalism and transparency with no hiccups or 'extra additions' after negotiations. My wife and i bought a new car, and I've never had such a calm relaxing car buying experience. The staff was very professional and respectful. They didn't try and push anything on us that we wasn't interested in. They took the time to explain every document and every answer they gave us to our questions. We Will be using Dave Edwards Toyota for our next purchase. Endy (our salesman) Was the best I've ever dealt with.

The Worst Service Department I Have Ever Encountered
If you are considering Dave Edwards for service, I strongly urge you to reconsider. They have had numerous chances to deliver quality service, which I have rarely received. I own a 2014 4Runner Trail Premium. Last week, I made an appointment for detailing and 25,000 mile service (tire rotation and inspection). I arrived yesterday at 7:40am and asked for the shuttle. I was informed that it had just left and would be back soon. After 35 minutes, it returned with breakfast for the employees! The shuttle is provided for CUSTOMERS, not errands for employees! I was 30 minutes late for work because the employees wanted breakfast. They called around 3:30pm asking when I needed the car; I said 4:30. They said it wont be ready until 5 because it was just taken back to detail. Why ask when I need it, if youre going to tell me when it will be ready? They had the car ALL DAY and just took it to detail at 3:30? They allotted 8 hours to rotate the tires and 1.5 hours for the detail? Very poor time management! When I got the car, it was STILL DIRTY! There was pollen all over the hood. The exterior windshield was streaked, with vertical pollen marks where the wipers stop. The inside must have been washed with a dirty rag because it was dirtier than when I left it there. The drivers side window was dirty and spotted. There were horizontal streaks still on the passenger side mirror from the last rain. The inside was dusty enough to wipe my finger through and leave a mark. There were fingerprint smudges all over the passenger door, and the rear window wasnt clean. The exterior had dried water spots all over, many yellowed from pollen. For $187 I expect it to be SPOTLESS. I could have gotten a better wash at the Spinx drive through for $8. During checkout, the cashier asked the shuttle driver to go get her a milkshake.This isnt the first time Ive received poor service either.I was in for routine maintenance in November 2015. While there, I asked them to look at my radio/GPS unit because it was randomly rebooting. They said it probably just needed a firmware update. I told the tech I'd already done updates through the Toyota Entune app. They acted like I was stupid and didn't know what I was talking about. They said they would double check it anyway. When I picked up the car, they said it was up to date, may not be compatible with my phone (iPhone 5) and they reset it to factory defaults. They said sometimes the radio can't handle too many contacts to sync (I only have about 50 contacts). The instructions were to drive it a few days without hooking the phone back up and see if the problem persists, and if so call back in to have the unit replaced. One of the main selling features is Bluetooth capability. For them to tell me the unit is incompatible with a very popular phone brand is completely unacceptable. I wonder if Toyota knows they are telling people this! Still, I followed their instructions. I didn't have to wait long; it rebooted several times on my way home that evening.I called to report that the unit was still rebooting without my phone attached. They said I'd need to make an appointment to have a tech get the service tag information so they could order the replacement part. I made an appointment for December 18 at 11:30am. I took an early lunch from work and got there at 11:15am. My car sat waiting, untouched, in plain view until 12:36pm, over an hour past my appointment time. They brought my car back out at 12:52pm and pulled it around to the front. I waited another 20 minutes for them to bring my keys before I headed over to the service desk. I politely informed the lady at the desk that my car was right there (pointed to said car), had been there for 20 minutes, and I really needed to get back to work. She was rude, ruffled through some paperwork on the desk, and told me they weren't finished with it yet so she couldn't give it to me. Another 20 minutes later, a man brought me my keys and said the radio/GPS unit should be there in about 7 days, maybe 10 since it was the holidays. He said they'd call me when it was in.January comes around and I never received a call. I called several times and was redirected to voice mail every time. I left several messages and never received a call back. Fast forward to February, and I still hadnt gotten a call from them about the part, and no one returned my messages. I continued to call several times, and left a voice mail for the service manager. Still no call back. I even had a friend at work who personally knows the service manager email him twice, and he never got a response either!February 8, I call the service department again and was transferred to parts. I actually got to speak to a real person this time and explained the situation. The man looked up my account and, after some silence, asked if he could call me back in a few minutes. He called back about 15 minutes later (I was surprised he called back at all based on prior history). He said the lady that was my "tech" quit and they had no record of me coming in to get the service tag number on December 18th. How does he know who was handling my account if they have no record of it? He also said they can only keep radios in stock for so long before they have to return them, but I was never notified that it was in stock. And if they have no record of the prior service, how does that apply to my situation as the radio would have never been ordered in the first place? He said I needed to come in (again) to have a tech look up the service tag number so they can order the part. When I explained my problem, the guy was unapologetic/unsympathetic and had a general attitude of "it's not my problem". He asked if I could come in some time that day to have that done. I told him the only time I had was during lunch from 12-1. He said that would be fine. I asked how long it would take, and indicated that I waited over two hours last time. He said he didn't know and that he was going to transfer me to the service department to make an appointment and they could tell me how long it would take. Wait a minute ... he just said 12 was fine, but now I need to make an appointment with the service department? He transferred me to the service department and said to ask for Charlie. When I asked for Charlie, he was unavailable and I was transferred to his voice mail. I left him a message asking for him to call me back to make an appointment. He called me back about 30 minutes later (again shocked to get a call back). I explained the situation again, and he too had an "I don't care, not my problem attitude". He cut me off abruptly while explaining the story and said "so when can you come in". I made an appointment for Feb 9 at 12pm.February 9, service was actually very fast. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I was surprised to see someone making an effort and felt relieved that my problem would finally be handled. He said the part should be in within 3-7 days. Within 5 days, I received a call that the part was in. I dropped the car off the next morning at 7:30. When I hadnt heard from them by 4:30 that afternoon, I called to ask when it would be ready. They said, its been ready for a while, we just havent made any calls yet. Why would you not call right away to get finished cars off the lot and out of your way? I have not had any problems with my GPS since replacement.The last two times I had regular service scheduled, they failed to fill my windshield washer fluid. It makes me wonder what other steps of the inspection they are skipping.My husband has also had issues with this dealership. He had a recall on his Corolla. When he called, they said the part was in stock and made him an appointment the next week. When he got there, they didnt have the part and said they would have to order it. They used the parts they had in stock on cars that didnt make appointments, then didnt bother to call and let him know they were out. After waiting months for the part to come in, he took his car to another dealer, which handled the recall immediately with in stock parts. Dave Edwards called him 3 months later saying they received the part.

I bought my new Corolla about 1 week ago, and I love it! From start to finish it was a seem less process. My salesman Travis was knowledgeable and very helpful. This was the third car I've purchased from this location since 1998. Never even considered going somewhere else. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
Going Above and Beyond
Third time trying to buying a vehicle (not from the same dealer). Jarrod and Brennan went out of their way to get us the financing deal we needed, without having us wait in their Sales floor for 3 hours to get a negative response. The financing info was done over the phone, and they called us back the next day with excellent news. We came down that day and test drove the car and bought it that day, WITHOUT them trying to upsell us and this allowed us to get the car we wanted and could afford, in a great color, with the payment option we wanted. On discovery of the cigarette lighter not working and the Maintenance Required light coming on a week later, they had us in and out of the service bay in a matter of 10 minutes ON A SATURDAY after thoroughly checking everything. I HIGHLY recommend this dealer and the salespeople as they treat you like a HUMAN with FEELINGS, instead of just a commission walking in the door.

I went to Dave Edwards to have my car serviced for it's normal routine maintenance. After looking around for a new vehicle for a while I decided to speak with someone in regards to buying something new again and trading my 2011 Scion tC. Mr. Tony Jackson greeted me in the most professional manner and actually seemed very caring. After speaking with him, he told me all of my buying options. I told him what I wanted, what I could afford, and Mr. Jackson and the friendly staff at Dave Edwards accommodated my needs!! I've never met a team of individuals who work so hard for their customers!! The service center is great and everyone has a smile and not to mention the affordable prices!! I got the 2016 Toyota Corolla, Sport Plus model. I love my new car!! I definitely recommend anyone and everyone to Dave Edwards and to speak with Mr. Tony Jackson for one heck of a deal!! I pulled into Dave Edwards one day on a whim to look at a 4Runner trail. After test driving it with Tony Jackson and talking the vehicle over, we decided I should take it home for the weekend. When I came back Monday, I was not completely sold. The vehicle was not the color I wanted, and was somewhat out of my price range. The package was also a little more than I really needed/wanted. Tony offered to search for the exact color/vehicle I wanted but after talking a little while we decided to wait on the vehicle. Tony didn't pressure me at all, which was very nice. A few months later, I found the exact vehicle I wanted at a toyota dealership in Georgia. I sent Tony an email with the information to see what he could do. It was a demo vehicle with around 4000 miles on it. We worked out a deal and he told me he could bring the vehicle to Spartanburg for me, which was great! However, a few days later, he called to let me know that he found the EXACT vehicle brand new with zero miles on it and had it coming for me instead, same deal and everything!!! I now have my perfect brand new 4Runner and could not be happier with my vehicle or my experience! I really appreciate Tony and all he did to help me get the exact vehicle I wanted and him making it so simple! Great guy! If you are looking for a new Toyota, go see Tony!!!
Two Toyotas and great service all around
As of today, I have now bought two Toyotas from Dave Edwards Toyota. Mr. Ledbetter served as my sales associate on both. I told him, when I bought a certified used 2010 Toyota Corolla S in 2012, that if the deal was good Id come back to buy my next car. Today, I bought a new 2015 Rav4. Not only did Bill work with me at the dealership, he helped before test driving by answering every question I asked over a three day period prior to my visit to the company (and I ask a lot!), worked diligently to send various options for financing and vehicle availability, and remained kind, respectful, and patient through the whole process. We received a deal that elated my wife and me. Most importantly, though, Bill found us the right vehicle for our growing family. Dealing with Bill through David Edwards was more like conversation with a friend than the pulling teeth approach Ive experienced at other companies, car dealership or otherwise. If you are thinking about a new Toyotaand you shouldhe will go way beyond what you will expect for service, help you get a fair deal, and get you the car that is best for your needs. Im happy to say that, honestly, Bill Ledbetter represents what service should be anywhere.

New car Purchase
Dave Edwards Toyota staff has been great to us. Doug Page Let us go at our pace picking out a new car, while answering any questions we had along the way. The parts and service dept. did a great job with the accessories we added to the car. The finance manager explained all the finance options and helped us with extended warranties and got us the payment plan we wanted. Everyone there has been very friendly and helpful to us. We've had our new Camry five weeks now and we love it.
bad service dept experience.
Trip 1.. Wanted tires balanced. And oil change. When I left it drove worse. Trip 2. Took it back. Fixed. Looked At bill when I got home they charged me for tire mounting and disposal. Trip 3. Tried to get bill fixed. Guy tried to tell me I got new tires. Argued with him. He actually looked at my cat before being satisfied. Service manager said they credited acct except for oil change. How nice of them. Sh have given me credit for all the gas I spent on 3 trips!!!

This was my first visit to Dave Edwards Toyota. After shopping online and having some idea what I was interested in, I drove to Dave Edwards to see what offers they would make; after that I planned to drive to Greenville to talk with other dealers before making a decision. But I was treated so wellat Dave Edwards that I never got to Greenville. I was interested in a Corolla but could not consider the payments for a new one. When they realized this they made a convincing case for leasing which Ihad never done. I now have monthly payments that fit my budget and I'm driving a 2016 Corolla.From the initial contact by Jerrod to set up an appointment to the financing and the return of my rented car to a nearby Enterprise dealer, I could not have had a better experience.

Danny was the name of the person I dealt with. He was courteous and knowledgeable. I have a 45 minute drive to come to get our Prius serviced but Dave Edwards is worth every minute.
This was my 5000 mile check-up and everything went like clockwork. I was in and out in less than1 hour without an appointment. The service representative was bot courteous and factual about thework being done. I was very pleased.

5000 mile check up
I was pleasantly pleased when I arrived at the dealership. I had a couple of questions when I arrived and they were answered to my satisfaction. As I was leaving I asked why my blue tooth would not hook-up. The attendant said she could fix that problem and she showed me how to do it. I was very pleased with her expertize. Thanks Dave Edwards.

An Overall Great Experience
My most recent experience with Dave Edwards Toyota service department was a pleasure. The service representative called me in advance to schedule the appointment to have my car serviced. We decided on a day and time that would be convenient for me. After arriving that morning I was given a clean Toyota Camry rental to use while my car was serviced. I was offered a bottle of water and was reminded to bring the car back at my convenience. I was assisted by placing my items from my car into the rental car, I signed all the appropriate paperwork and was sent on my way. Upon returning the rental and receiving my car I was again greeted with smile and a friendly associate who helped me transfer my things back to my car from the rental. I was given a list of things that need to be considered in order to keep my car running smoothly. But nothing was done without my permission. I took a look at my car and was very pleased with the work. I would gladly recommend Dave Edwards Toyota to family and friends. You can count on the service department's friendly service with a smile. They will answer your questions with confidence and they will make you feel like they care about you and the condition of your car. Although I purchased my car from another Toyota dealership, I have always brought my car to Dave Edwards for service, and maintenance. Timely, Friendly Service
Came off a 10k trip and got an appointment for check up the day after I called. In and out in under two hours. Service personnel reviewed the checkup with me and went over items I might need to address without any pressure to do so. Staff friendly and courteous, eager to answer questions, throughout my visit. Bought car from dealer in 2001 and have used Dave Edwards exclusively to maintain car in Spartanburg. On the road, if car needs regular scheduled maintenance, I always take it to nearest Toyota dealership.

Like Dave Edwards Toyota - but want to tell TOYOTA what we do NOT like about the RAV4 2013 compared to the 2009 same make.
The only problem was that I have a white car and when I got home I had black handprints on my hood. Service was great.

Most dealers were reluctant to give me an estimated value for my trade but at Dave Edwards Toyota they were willing to give me that estimated amount pending in person inspection.When I arrived at dealership, some 3 hours away, the process was seamless and the inspection was made and estimated trade figures confirmed.

Why would you go anywhere else for service
This dealership is outstanding! I have purchased my last 4 cars there and will not go anywhere else. The people are exceptional and usually the owner, Dave Edwards, walks through the service area and greets the customers. I also saw him talking to the service personnel on my most recent visit, and it is obvious that he cares about his customers and his employees. Top notch!
I went to gave the tire pressure checked because the tire light came on, and I thought I might have a a slow leak in one of the tires. Everyone was very professional and helpful. The service was done quickly and I was on my way.

Bill made buying a car a pleasure instead of a chore.. No pressure, and when I purchased a new van, he sat and explained all the buttons. This is my third van that I have purchased from Dave Edwards. I will go back.

Deaf Customer - No job is too big or too small for Tony
My wife, Sissy and I just loafed around the dealership. We came up with 2015 Camry SE, a nice car. We are DEAF customers who are using ASL (American Sign Language) We would grin and bear with most pushy dealers and communication barrier. Most of em would try to avoid writing on paper, or speak slower, even shout or talk louder - None of em will work with the deaf people. To my surprise, Tony Jackson, an unquie and pleasant dealer is NOT one of em . A truly blessing and make our day. He would not allow our communication barrier to be our problem. The whole time we meet with Tony. He would always write everything on the paper, using email and so on. within our reasonable and effective communication method. So that way, we can understand what's going on. We did not make any deal at very beginning. Really, Sissy was not satisfied with the car. So we left the dealership with no pressure at all. Sissy really wants a small SUV, out of our price range. A few emails between Tony and us, he quoted "I truly believe we can make this deal happen if you can find the time to come in before Friday". So we went there and see what we can come up with. We already knew that we had a very slim chance of getting a new car with approved financing company. Tony never asked for anything more from us. He would stick to the guns with what we have in our tight budget, down payment, and reasonable payments, etc. Tony is very patient and humble man who works so hard to get our 2015 Toyota RAV4 LE - APPROVED AND FINANCED. on July 30th! - We've been wondering how to express our gratitude for all of your hard and patience works. Words just cant describe how much you are appreciated. Tony Jackson wrote me via email and said "I was personally involved with your purchase. I was so satisfied and very happy to see the expression on your wife's face when she got into HER new car. It made my day and week." Be sure to look for Mr. Tony Jackson, very friendly, and humble. You will not regret.

Just bought our 2015 Highlander after getting fed up with dealing with other dealerships in NC and GA. Charlie Tomey was very professional and didn't mind answer any questions. Negotiations went smooth and no playing number games like lots of other places do. So glad we went with a local business!!! Already considering them to use by a purchase of next vehicle!!! Also the tv area for kids is a big plus if you're shopping for a car with your little ones. All areas are very clean which makes a difference too! Walls decorated with photographs taken in Africa which adds a nice personal touch to the overall experience! Wishing Mr. Edwards and Mr. Tomey high sales this year!
Happy with Truck, but left quite a bit to be desired...
The initial experience was ok, and Roberto did a great job, but the accessories department fell through and ruined the experience. Was shown a picture of black leather seats, and decided to purchase them, (twice what the cost would be anywhere else). I had to go up to the dealership to ask about when they would be put in. Nobody ever called, and when I arrived I was told it was because someone was on vacation. I took my truck in, and had to leave a credit card number to use a loaner vehicle while mine was having the seats put in. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle I noticed the color was a gray not black like I had selected. I went back in to talk to the gentleman who had originally sold them to me and he apologized and told me from now on he would make sure and let customers know it won't be exactly what's on the screen. This was of no help to me, and now I am out $1300 and not happy with the product I received. Was also told by the accessories guy that my truck would be filled up and to make sure and bring it in empty. I drove my expensive mistake off the lot still on empty being told another lie. The service department also left several tools in my vehicle. Not a good experience at first.Dave Edwards has since worked with me to get what I thought I originally was purchasing. I am happy with my truck, and I guess that's all that matters. Charlie took care of the issues once he was made aware of them.

Very Poor Service!
First of all facilities are excellent, but who cares how clean a place is. Just the other day I went in for repairs on my car. While waiting forever, an older couple came in and was sat day. They were older and slow to move, but very nice. A Dave Edwards lady came out and told the older lady that they couldn't start the car. The older lady grabbed her purse and went to stand to go out to see why and the Dave Edwards lady rudely stated, "Ma'am there is no need, we all tried it doesn't work and we are getting a traffic jam". The lady was explaining that this key always works. She was being so rude and I felt so bad for the older lady. The older lady continued to walk out the door and I AM NOT LYING when I say, the Lady from Dave Edwards was behind her, almost pushing her saying, you have to hurry we have a traffic jam, lines are getting long, go go go go, and rolling her eyes. It was completely embarrassing to watch. I then had to go back yesterday and sure enough, there was the rude technician. Bet nothing happened with this. I would drive to Easley to get repairs before going back to them! ridiculous!

I came in just to browse, but ended up falling in love with a Toyota Corolla. Bill Ledbetter was a great person to deal with and made my first car buying experience enjoyable and low stress.

This is the second car we have purchased from Dave Edwards
This is the second car purchase we have made from Dave Edwards and Tony Jackson in the last 8 months. We are not local to Spartanburg but the drive was more than worth the extra time it took to get there. I always hate shopping for cars and dealing with most all car salesman's, except Tony, he is like no other. He is the absolute reason we came back to buy our daughters car. Tony worked with me for weeks locating the perfect car for her, as this was a surprise for graduation. Vince in the sales office was also amazing. Dave Edwards himself even personally spoke to my husband when we brought our other daughters car in for it's first service. I would absolutely recommend this dealership, and especially Tony Jackson and Vince in finance. Thank you again for all your help, our girls love their Camry's and I too am now a Toyota fan. I may have to look for a Toyota next time for myself. I will certainly be calling Tony if I do. Thank you again Tony and Vince for making our 2 car purchases for our daughters such a pleasure. No follow up
Contacted dealer through Cars.com with specific questions about a vehicle they had listed. Got the "canned" response e-mail so I called and asked my questions again and was told someone would call back with answers. Never happened. If you do not want to deal with internet buyers then do not advertise in that forum. Would not do business with you in future.
undecided on make of 3 types of sedans
Looked at 3 makes of vehicle over a month. Test drove all 3 at different dealerships. Mr. Leadbetter has a fun personality, not pushy, and most importantly talk about family. He was slighter older than us and had grown children so he understood whare we were in life. Overall the team was freindly, and fast. Good place to buy a vehicle.
Best car buying experience ever!
After a grueling day at work and a very long trip home to pick up my wife, I had psyched myself to do battle with yet another car salesman. To my surprise, I dealt with the most pleasant, kind and concerned salesperson I have ever met. Every single one of my questions were answered honestly and without hesitation. I never once felt any anxiety or remorse during my purchasing visit. While waiting on financing, I toured most of Dave Edwards Toyota escorted by the salesperson. These people have pride in what they do and it shows throughout the facility. All areas were clean, organised and very pleasant to the eye. Even the shop floor was immaculate! In my opinion, if you have never dealt with Dave Edwards Toyota dealership, you are missing out on the best car buying experience you will ever have! Kudos to Tim McCormick, you were a blessing to me and my wife during our time spent with you purchasing our Camry.
Not the common car buying experience
I hate to negotiate for cars mainly because of the salespeople I have worked with in the past. "Pushiness" is the keyword I usually think of first when dealing with them. The salesperson is the face of the company. If the salesperson is pushy, I feel the dealership will be as a whole. I prefer a courteous, patient, knowledgeable representative. I also consider my time as valuable, so it is nice for things to move right along without a lot of lag. Tim McCormick met my expectations for a good dealership representative. It was a pleasure buying a vehicle from him - not the usual experience when spending thousands of hard-earned bucks on a machine that will deprecate the moment it leaves the lot. Thank you, Tim, for making my experience at Dave Edwards Toyota a pleasant one!
Initially dealt with dealership in search of a new 2015 Camry, but couldn't get a payment that fit my budget due to my current credit situation and overall value of my trade. About a month later, I received a phone call from Kim Calder asking me if I was still looking for a car. I was told that current offers could mean that they might be able to make a deal that would work with my budget. After a few phone calls over the course of three days, Kim said that they would indeed be able to make me a deal. I repeatedly asked her if she was sure that the monthly payment would not exceed my budget, and was told they "would do whatever it takes to earn my business". Upon arriving at the dealership, after driving to Spartanburg all the way from Anderson, and selecting a car in the color I wanted, I was told that the best monthly payment they could offer was $160 above my budget. What made everything worse, is that Kim Calder wasn't there even though she was supposedly scheduled to be there; I guess she didn't want to find herself face to face with the person that she lied to.
Great service and experience
I have bought a couple of cars from them before (new and used), and was very happy with the overall experience both times. I still have both vehicles, and get them serviced from them, and am very happy with the service experience every time as well. Couple of months ago I found a problem of using too much oil with one of my cars. I had a lifetime powertrain warranty from the Southeast Dealers who apparently are not the best to back up their warranties. But the team (Kristi and others) in Dave Edwards actually went out of their way to get the car fixed for me. A very pleasant surprise to me to see this dealership go out of their way to keep a long time customer happy. Thanks a bunch guys!
Best Car Sale experience I ever had
Mr Bill Ledbetter was my terrifcly awesome sales person. The entire experience was splendid. I was not pressured, I was not blind sided, and I was not lead on. They were incredibly patient and kind and helpful with me as we went through multiple test drives and my many questions. The team at DAVE Edwards was outstanding & fabulous ! The show rooms are great, the layout is incredible and inviting. I loved the tour and details given through the tour. It is family friendly atmosphere. I had a great experience servicing my old car at this place and buying a new car after my old one got flooded several weeks ago. It was a stressful moment for me but employees from Dave Edwards Toyota and especially Kristie from the Service Center and William Ledbetter from the Sales Department made the process for me very easy and worry-free. They followed up with me during the whole process and made my flooded car situation much more pleasant.

Piece of mind
When you go to a car dealership you never know what to expect. Before arriving at Dave Edwards Toyota I knew one thing for sure. My father had purchased a Toyota from this dealer and he can bargain with the best of them. So I assumed they were fair. When I arrived, I was met by Salesman Tony Jackson. From the time I met Tony I was never pressured to purchase absolutely anything. I showed him the car my wife and I wanted for the price we wanted and he made it happen. Because it was to late after signing the paperwork we chose not to take the car home with us so the vehicle could be detailed. You would assume that when my wife and I arrive the next day to pick the car up that we would not be at the top of Tony and the dealerships priority considering they had already earned our business but that was quite the opposite. We were treated with the upmost respect and to me that means everything. I just bought a brand new 2014 Toyota Camry. I love the car & the dealership was awesome. It is a very nice facility. Heather (Internet sales), Robert (sales) & Vince (finance manager) were all awesome & great to work with! We have some credit issues from where we got behind when I lost my job years ago & no one would give us a loan to help build it back even though my husband makes really well now. Tony, the best salesperson I have ever met.
I flew from texas to buy a 2014 camry. It is not easy to go so far having the doubt in mind what if things don't go right. I got picked up from the airport by the dealership shuttle. Once I was there, it didn't took me long to realize I had just made the perfect choice by flying all the was to SC to buy a car and saving thousands. I was out of the dealership in less then 2 hours. The one thing that I really loved about Tony was his honesty. I hate it when sales personnel play tricks and games and Tony made me feel very comfortable. Since day one, I had asked him to be upfront about the cost and everything so we both don't waste each others time and he did not disappoint. I love my new car and already planning on buying one for my brother shortly. I would definitely go back to Dave Edwards for having such a wonderful team to help with the process. I met with Tony Jackson on a busy Saturday afternoon. I can honestly say that Tony is the antithesis of your stereotypical salesperson. He listened to what I was interested in and responded to my requests in a refined and collected manner. Never did he try to "up sale" me as other dealers will do (though he will present you with all of your plausible options so that you as the buyer can be informed). Tony recognizes that auto sales is not about what the buyer walks away from but rather, what a buyer walks away with. He remains conscious of the fact that a buyer will ideally walk away with a new car but also an impression of him that will establish long lasting business. I came into Dave Edwards with a reasonable offer on the car I wanted and walked away with not only the car I wanted but with an impression of the guys I worked with that will bring me back for more business sooner than later. Not only Tony, but my experiences with Elbert Farris, Vince Millines, and Steve McClean throughout the course of the transaction was impeccable. Steve was responsible for teaming me up with Tony initially and is very well spoken, always checking in to ensure everything was going well. Elbert Farris was the party responsible for ensuring the negotiations and my offers were appropriately communicated with the decision makers as well making sure I walked away with more than just the price I was willing to pay for the car. Vince Millines worked the finances extremely well and is the reason that I chose to finance the car through Toyota instead of a local bank or paying for the car outright. Again, I felt that it was very important that I take the time to speak about each of these guys. I hope that if you as a reader have taken the time to make it this far into my soapbox spill of Dave Edwards Toyota, that you are now readily convinced to pickup the phone and schedule an appointment with Tony Jackson. I'm already considering my next purchase and as long as Tony Jackson is willing to work with me in the same truly exceptional manner as he did with my recent purchase, then I will irrevocably and undeniably return as a customer.

My first purchase from Dave Edwards Toyota was about 9 months ago to get a Camry for my older daughter. This time I visited the dealership to get a Corolla for my younger daughter. My salesman for both visits was Tim McCormick. He was extraordinarily helpful in locating suitable vehicles for my daughters at a very good price. I have bought cars in the past from a variety of dealers but both of my purchases at Dave Edwards Toyota with Tim McCormick were the easiest and most pleasant I have ever experienced. I've never purchased a brand new vehicle from a dealership before so I was rather nervous with a few preconceptions about how the experience would be. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot I began to suspect that I was going to have a purchasing experience unlike any I've had before. My nervousness and preconceptions started to melt away when Dasha Dimitris met me at the door with a friendly smile and warm welcome which immediately put me at ease. Dasha got some details from me and set to work on the financial side of the deal. Once that ball was rolling, Dasha showed me the vehicle of my dreams! I was blown away at how knowledgeable he was about the vehicle, pointing out all the options and how they would suit my needs. Tony Jackson took out for my test drive and he was so kind and patient as I was a tiny bit nervous driving an unfamiliar vehicle. Upon our return Dasha went over the particulars of my financing and called my husband to confirm a few of his dream option requests. I left briefly and returned with my husband so we could sign the paperwork. My husband was so impressed at by the 4 Runner as it far exceeded his expectations as to the type and amount of vehicle we would be able to purchase. Dasha went over all the paperwork explaining it in a concise, easy to understand manner. This was truly a stress free purchasing experience due to the professionalism and knowledge of Dasha! Later after we drove home I received a text from Dasha asking if we were loving the 4 Runner! There were so many small details that overall just added to ease and comfort I felt while at Dave Edwards. Everyone was friendly and smiling. There was an absence of aggressive, pushy, slick "car salesman" attitude. The arrangement of the dealership with small tables and chairs in groupings vs cubicles felt much friendlier. The service area waiting room is unlike any I've ever seen before, comfortable seating, tvs, a cafe! I'm actually looking forward to my first oil change! I just can't say enough about how wonderful my experience was. I will definitely refer all my friends and family to Dasha, Tony, and Dave Edwards for an unforgettable purchasing experience.

Service isn't good
Bought a Toyota and it was reasonably low maintenance, then there where a number of recalls in which I took the car back to Dave Edwards and they claim to have found the water pump going bad but under pro rated warranty it only cost me $30.00. a year later the water pump was failing so I took it them and they have no record of ever replacing it, though they show they replaced a window switch? So at that point I was not willing to risk driving the car any further and causing any further damage so I had them repair it. They charged me $450. to change out a $71.00 water pump. If you have bought a vehicle from them check your paperwork for accuracy. These folks are pathetic and Toyota doesn't make cars like they used to.

We were searching for a new 2014 Highlander (March 2014) and inventory was very limited. My two local dealers advertised prices were $2k above the advertised price offered by Dave Edwards. We decided to drive the 100 miles to purchase. The Highlander was ready when we arrived, paperwork was ready to go. No surprises. Jennifer Kelly (sales) was great, John closer was also great. We even met Mr. Edwards and he was very nice and thanked us for our business. The dealership is really cool. There are over 300 photos from all over the world taken by Mr. Edwards (mission trips :-)). We would drive the 100 again when we are ready for another vehicle. They are a volume dealer, so they move units by offering a great price.

Rudest sale manager I have delt with. All dealers will give you a discount when you pay cash. I paid cash and there was no need to check my credit score.They checked my score anyway and it brought my score down at least 200 points. Any time your credit is checked it brings your score down.

Went in to buy an extended service contract for my vehicle which was nearing the end of its factory coverage. The woman was almost too kind. Later I learned why. She told me she was "taking care of a good consumer" and only up charging me 1 dollar over their cost for the plan. When I went home I priced the same plan online through toyotas eonline site and found out that her dollar markup was more like a THOUSAND DOLLAR MARKUP!!! We came into the dealership, met our dealer first over the phone, then in person. He worked hard for us to get us the best price and the best money for our trade. On the flip side, they will sell you "extras" that you don't need to make back the money they discounted for you. They talk fast and deceive you in the end so your initial negotiated price will double!! I will say, I was so caught up in their fast talk that I didn't realize until after I left that I had just been robbed. Luckily we were able to cancel many of those extended warranties and insurance that totaled to about $8k added to our loan. One thing that we couldn't cancel was the $800 that we paid for "First Place Finish" aftermarket wax that we thought was Toyoguard. One word , deception. What happened to truly honest dealerships?

Run away from that place quickly!I drove to Spartanburg from Greenville to visit Dave Edwards. When I walked in I was greeted by Dale, who ask me what I needed. I told him I wanted to buy a car. He escorted me to his desk and the hunt was on. As you know, because of the circumstances in Japan, Japanese cars that provide good mpgs are really scarce. I told Dale what I was looking for, pretty much in detail. Because of the shortage it took about 2 hours to find the car. Needless to say, I was ecstatic! Car found, options I needed and even the color I wanted. AMAZING! They actually found one. The next day my husband and I when in, negotiated a price and received a very fair offer for our trade. The car was in another state, and it took a few days to get it to Spartanburg. (3 days). I have not picked the car up yet (will today) and am anticipating a smooth, seamless pick up of the car. Yea, Dave Edwards for locating the car with the options we wanted and even the color of our choice. Definitely recommend this dealership. I only hope the service department is as good as the sales department.

I visited the dealership on 4/18/11 from a sales adverstisement. My follow up visit was the following Fri morning. The sales assoc Randy was not in and Steve agreed to assist with the process. Steve was asking all the right questions to fit my driving needs. As most buyers would agree, price/quality was my concern. Steve understood my concerns and walked me to the options I was looking for. The negotiation for trade and price started, I did not feel he was on the other side of the table in an adversay role. I explained my needs and wants and he was aggressively trying to fill them during the process of closing the sale. On March 11th, 2011 I initiated a TrueCar price quote for a 2010 Toyota Corolla LE for zip code 29681, and came up with a price quote for $13,273 for Dave Edwards Toyota in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I got a call from Dave Edwards Toyota within 2 hours and spoke to Dave Listul, who is an internet salesman at the dealership. Dave told me on March 11th they had one 2010 Toyota Corolla LE left, and we agreed upon $14,322 for the out the door price including all fees and taxes. I told Dave I'd be in the next morning to buy it (we spokeabout this at around 6:45 PM, the dealership closes at 7:30PM, but I called again at 7:28PM to ask what time I could come in). Since Sparanburg is about a 30 minute drive, I decided it would be best to wait till the morning and ensure the dealership wouldn't close before I got there. The next morning, Saturday March 12,2011, I arrived at Dave Edwards Toyota at around 9:30, only an hour after they open. I walked into the dealership building, and asked for Dave Listul. Dave greeted us, and lead us to his desk. He began working on his computer, and then said they had sold the last 2010 Corolla the night before. I asked how they sold it in a mere 2 minutes before closing, and why he didn't call me Dave acknowledged that he knew I was coming in and the car was not here, but he claims no one is at fault. I responded by telling him I was specifically looking for a 2010 corolla because of the great prices, but would buy any 2010 or 2011 corolla if he could get to that price. He said no, I got up to leave and said "have a good day." Before getting to my car, Dave ran out to the parking lot and said maybe he could find a deal on a 2011 model. I knew the price couldn't match, but he said he could do it. He ran back in, and tried to trick me by saying he could sell it for under $14,000. I asked him how much it would be after all fees and tax, and he said around $15,700. In summary, I drove over an hour today to get to a Toyota dealership, to buy a car at a price we had agreed on and was guaranteed by TrueCar/Zag, only to be told it was sold in 2 minutes before closing time, they didn't have enough models, and it wasn't wrong not to inform me because a $1,400 price difference is a deal-breaker. I'm still in the market for a new car, but I'm not sure I could buy a Toyota again,I'm very disappointed in the bait and switch tactics used by Dave Listul of Dave Edwards Toyota, and hope some action will be taken

Upon driving thru Dave Edwards lot one evening, I found my dream car. I have not had to purchase a vehicle for several years and hate the thought of doing so but it's become somewhat of a necessity at this point. We spoke for a few minutes to one of the salesmen who was very nice and knowledgeable about the cars there. He said he would see what he could do regarding the pricing of the vehicle. I contacted him the following day and he told me what he could do on the vehicle and I made a counter offer that was about $500 less and was shut completely down...no more conversation and the phone went dead! I left a message for Mr. Edwards regarding this matter and he had the General Mgr contact me who was the most helpful person! We pursued the deal that had been offered to us however we knew financing might be a problem as we have bad credit. But it was done. We came up with another idea of having my mother-in-law possibly co-sign for a better rate, but I couldn't be on the loan. Therefore, she and my father-in-law would have to purchase the car entirely in their names only. We didn't want this burden to lie upon them completely, therefore we reverted back to our original deal with the high interest rate and down payment. I was very excited to be getting this car! I went to the dealership with cash in hand for the down payment, got into the finance office and found that the bottom line for which we had agreed had changed. This was apparently due to a fee that the bank had charged. I understand that this happens, however it was more the principal than the money at hand with me not being told of this fee until it came time to sign the paperwork! These salesmen deal with the same banks every day and they should have known of this fee and passed the info on to me. I also understand that sometimes thing slip thru the cracks. The GM told me that the saleman was supposed to have gone over everything with me and that too many people had been involved in this deal. The more the merrier that could have told me about this fee! I have to say that these guys were the most helpful though with me and my in-laws in trying to get this deal done and complete and I'm much appreciative of that. I didn't hide my credit issues from anyone, it was all put on the table before I even did the credit app. Anyways, a few days later and I'm without my car and still searching all because of a fee that someone neglected to tell me about. had I been told prior to signing the paperwork, it would have been ok. But again, it's the principal of communication that I have the issue with.I have left other messages with Mr. Edwards after this issue but have not been contacted. I stated to him in that message that if he did not reply, then Dave Edwards would not be an option to me any longer. I guess they can afford to lose a customer which is fine. I know I can be a pain, but it's my money going into this vehicle and my obligation after I leave that lot so I think I have a right to be.But I do sincerely thank all involved in doing your best to get the job done!

I have been to other Toyota dealers and they do not appear as genuine as the representatives at Dave Edwards. I was at one Toyota dealership in which they wanted a firm commitment that you were going to buy before they would pull up information on more than 3 vehicles. The impression I get from the staff at Dave Edwards is that they want you to be happy with the product and service. When Im in the market for a car I always work with David Quinn and Charlie. They are one of the main reasons I return to Dave Edwards. I can be honest with them and I feel that they are looking out for me. With my current endeavor Derric Sewell, Sales Manager, retrieved information on multiple trucks with different options to accommodate what I needed and my wish list. Vince showed me different avenues I could take with the return of the vehicle Im currently leasing that my dad is looking at purchasing. If people are looking for a vehicle I always recommend Dave Edwards. As a compliment I only go to other dealers to check out exterior colors.

I must commend them for their patience and fortitude. I am a stickler for great customer service and can be a difficult customer. I must say that it was a pleasure doing business with the entire Dave Edwards team. They were pleasant through the entire process and exceeded all my expectations! I test drove so many cars and they did not push me into something I didn't want or at price I wasn't comfortable with. They worked with us and we got the car we wanted, at the price we needed. Through the process, they continually checked on us to ensure we got the car that fit, a payment that fit, and all was well until we drove of the lot. I was down at a friends house in Cerryville N.C. I had bought a red 1992 Ford Ranger pickup truck in Cerryville. There was a problem with the title for that truck so I got my money back from the owner. I did not wont to go home empty handed , so that night I went on line and did a search for a 1990-1992 Ford Ranger pickup truck. I had many dealers to choose from, so I sent an e-mail to all the dealers and the next morning the phone started ringing. I have to tell you that your dealership did NOT call me, I called you because I liked the fact that your dealership had pictures of the vehicle. I spoke to Alexis Schultz and she informed me the 1991 Ford Ranger was still on the lot. I drove down from Cerryville and once I saw the truck I knew I wasn't leaving until I owned it. Alexis was a great sales person to deal with. She called me the following week to make sure everything was ok. I drove the truck to up state New York and had no problems with its performance all the way up from Cherryville to New York. It is now parked in my garage until spring. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Dave Edwards Toyota. I asked for a new car quote over the internet and received a very prompt reply and also a follow up from Alexis Schultz, my sales person. She very quickly answered the questions I had and got confirmation of the sales price for my new Camry. When I went to pick up the car, everything was quick and efficient. There was no pressure to purchase add on services or extended warranties, although they were offered. I was in and out with my new car very quickly, which is what I wanted.

We are repeat buyers. We bought a highlander back in the summer and when we needed a truck; we looked on line; and Alexis contacted us. Not too pushy, just right; sch an appt to look at inventory, and made the process of shopping for and purchasing a car a real pleasure. She really knew her stuff about the vehicle, and presented things honestly. We truly feel that we got a good value, and have been very happy with both our vehicles. It is refreshing to have a young lady like Alexis know what she is doing and to conduct herself in such a professional manner. Her followup calls were nice as well; and shows that it was not just the sale that mattered. Frankly, I'll not buy a car from another dealer, and have told many of my friends and associates.

Alexis has been the most enjoyable sales person I have ever dealt with. It wasn't about another sale with her, it was all about me and what kind of vehicle would suit me the best. I was ready to purchase a 2006 Tacoma from Toyota of Gastonia for 22,449.00, this was a truck with 49,000 miles. Alexis saved me from making a huge mistake. In a matter of minutes she found me the same style and color of truck I was ready to buy. The best part was the truck she found, a brand new 2010 with a lifetime warranty and a price of 22,303.00...Thanks Alexis for all of your help!!
Dave Edwards sold me a truck that i have brought in...
Dave Edwards sold me a truck that i have brought in ELEVEN TIMES starting only 9 days after i bought the truck and i have and still driving a truck that has problems. They striped out a bolt dealing with the stering and they repaird it by wraping a wire around it to hold it in place. They lied about EVERY thing saying parts were replaced and it got so bad i had to mark every thing with a marker and take picturs of it and when i told them that the parts they said they replace were the same ones on it they kicked me out but were willing to have it fix out of pocket at another dealership only after the BBB got involved and now it is broke again and the warrenty is almost out and i still got a $20,000 clunker! Now on top of that they falseafied the 160 point inspection i found 23 things that would not cause the truck to pass that other dealerships in the same program pointed out to me including a false odometer that they did. SO the truck they sold me had more miles than what it showed. Its one thing after another with the truck it has had over 70 parts replaced so far and i am going back now to have it fixed another time. Dave Edwards sells Falseified warranty, Certifications, and cant tell the truth about any thing even when you have profe they still cant and just kick you out so they dont have to expane there actions
