Drove 2 hours to look at truck that one of the sales managers had priced very well through email. On the CarFax, the original ownership was in Pennsylvania. Concerned about corrosion from road salt, i inspected the underbody which turned out to be in very rough condition. I asked if i could take the truck to get inspected from other mechanics and they insisted that we agree on numbers first. I had a vehicle that NADA values at $22,950 average trade and $21, 225 rough trade. They offered me $20,000 for my truck! My truck is in nowhere near rough condition. I asked why such the low ball? and they said because they'll wholesale it at auction because 2WD trucks don't sell there and it also needed tires and brakes. Then I asked why were they concerned about the tires/brakes if they're bringing it to auction??? In which the sales manager replied, oh no we are going to recondition it and sell it here. Within a minute he told me two completely different things. He still could not tell me how his numbers were so far off NADA's. He never even attempted to change his numbers on either truck because he knew I would take it to a mechanic and learn what a disaster the underbody really was. As soon as i mentioned my concerns about the corrosion and roughed up truck bed before we even got to the numbers, the deal was as good as dead. Besides their lousy sales techniques, they were very unprofessional. I walked around the showroom for 5 minutes before I was greeted. The sales manager who was involved with the deal, Tim Ryan, sat behind a desk and didn't even look up as he ate his food when I walked in. The sales manager who I had talked to through email, Matthew Mello, shook my hand with his eyes in his phone texting. If you value trustworthiness and respect, steer clear of Danville Toyota.

My visit was to have a door glass that was chattering repaired under warranty. The quality of work was excellent as far as I can tell. While waiting I stayed in the waiting area and am very impressed with the facilities. This is the nicest and best equipped waiting room I have ever been in. My compliments to the organization for making us feel comfortable and well cared for. My only criticism of the whole experience was for the greasy hand prints left on the outside of the door and window glass. I know the technician was working to do a good job but it would have only taken a minute to wipe the door and glass off. Of course my truck was a little dirty but not all that bad that I would have ignored the greasy prints. I do appreciate Terry and the service and attention he gave me when he checked out the issue, ordered the parts and scheduled me back for the repair.

Called the dealership about purchasing new sienna, Lamar sales person assured the they will match any dealer price. I drove 45 minutes. They said they cannot sell the car in that price range. Worse yet instead of apologizing for wasting my time Lamar kept on arguing and misbehaving over the phone. No respect. I don't know much about the dealership but my impression they will say anything to sell you the car. If they cannot sell the car then they don't care about the customer.

I took my 2009 Toyota Tacoma in for a sticker and to have a squeak it was making looked at. I was told that it was probably a brake squeak. I was called later and told that they had bad news. I was told I needed a new drive shaft, I asked how much that was and they told me $1536.00. The part alone was $1406,00. My wife called a local mechanic and I called our local Advance Auto store, They both said that it was no way that it could be the drive shaft and that it would only be a $20.00 universal joint.I questioned the service guy which told me that he,the technician, and the master technician with over 30 years experience had all checked it and that it was definitely the drive shaft. I asked to speak with the master technician at which point I was then told it was the $20.00 universal joint. I spoke to the general manager who said he would call me back and let me know that this situation was taken care of which I have yet to receive a call from. Obviously not telling the truth is standard practice at Danville Toyota. I question who are the professionals, Advance Auto or the dealership who was only looking to make big money had I not investigated this first. To even be told that they were all certain that my problem was the drive shaft until it was obvious that lies were being told. The service guy said that it was miscommunication. How could he have miscommunicated since he told me he had checked it himself with the technician and the master technician. Professional? Yes professional crooks. BE WARNED OF ANY SERVICE WORK DONE IN THIS SHOP!!!!

I HAVE A 2015 HIGHLANDER AND RECENTLY HAD TO HAVE A RECALL DONE. I TOOK IT IN INITIALLY TO SEE IF I HAD ONE OF THE BAD PARTS AND I DID SO A PART HAD TO BE ORDERED. I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES WITHIN ALMOST A 2 WEEK WINDOW AND THE PART WASN'T IN YET. FINALLY AFTER "I" THE CUSTOMER CALLED AGAIN I WAS TOLD THAT THE PART WAS IN AND I BROUGHT MY CAR IN AND LEFT IT OVERNIGHT FOR THE SERVICE TO BE DONE. NEVER HAD TO WAIT 2 WEEKS BEFORE FOR A RECALL ON SOMETHING THAT COULD CAUSE ME TO WRECK!!!! THEN AFTER THAT WAS FINALLY DONE A DAY LATER I STOP TO GET GAS AND MY BUTTON TO OPEN THE GAS TANK WILL NOT WORK AND I HAD TO CRAWL IN THE BACK AND OPEN IT MANUALLY. NOW YET AGAIN I HAVE TO TAKE MY CAR IN TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED FROM THE LAST SERVICE. I WORK FULL TIME AND SO DOES MY HUSBAND AND WE DO NOT HAVE TIME TO RUN BACK AND FORTH TO THE DEALERSHIP ALL THE TIME. NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM VERY DISSATISFIED WITH DANVILLE TOYOTA SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I HAVE HAD MANY DIFFERENT MAKES OF CARS BEFORE AND I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH POOR SERVICE FROM A DEALERSHIP.

I called Danville Toyota when I noticed a tremor when I accelerated beyond 65mph. They got me in the next day and quickly began assessing the matter. The assessment took about 1 hour, but staff checked in with me to keep me updated. The part they needed was not in house; however, they made arrangements to get what was needed and offered me a ride home. As always, I was pleased with the work and with the professionalism of the staff. Every time I think about getting another make of car, I remember how well my 4-Runner has held up for the past past eleven years and how happy I am with Danville Toyota.

I scheduled my 10,000 mile service for my FJ Cruiser and I did get a notice reminding me of the appointment for service, and advising me if I needed to change this appointment. I arrived on the date of service and all of my information had been correctly listed for the service call, and I was given a ride back to my place of employment which I had previoulsy scheduled in a prompt fashion. The service call was completed in approximately 2 hours and an open recall was also adressed, so I received my vehicle back before lunchtime and all issues relating to the service were succcessfully completed. I am glad to have returned to Toyota Motor Company and Danville Toyota and will encourage all of my fellow co-workers and family members to support this business as they are highly professional and address customer satisfaction in a very positive and genuine manner!

This was the type repair that could easily have cost quadruple what Danville Toyota charged me; a hit and miss electrical problem. The job done and the amount charged were both exceptional in my opinion. A fair and friendly dealer service center is not impossible to find. I've had my fair share of terrible experiences with maintenance received from other dealers and was pleasantly surprised by Danville Toyota. They didn't overcharge and were fast and reliable. Highly recommend.

So...I worked with Mike Berry on a used 2003 4runner. I expected normal wear and tear for a vehicle of its age and mileage. I have owned 24 cars so far, bought and sold, and was even a BMW salesman. The Biggest question I had for Mike was if it had been smoked in. I have severe allergies and even the faintest smell sets them off. Also, I was a smoker for ten years....needless to say I am somewhat familiar with what smoke smells like on the interior of a vehicle. Mr. Berry assured me it was a non smoker. So, after giving Mike credit card information to hold the vehicle and filling out a credit application, we drove the 1.5 hours from Roanoke to Danville early Saturday morning. Upon arrival my wife and I sat in the car and watched Mike Berry spraying an extreme amount of deodorizer into the interior, stop and smell, then spray more... The vehicle was running and the Ac was on recon.... Upon Mike leaving the area my wife and I walked up and asked another salesperson why he was doing that. The salesmans response was that it had been smoked in. I got a bit upset as anyone would who just drove 1.5 hours on the pretense a vehicle had not been smoked in. The salesman quickly put two and two together and realized that I was the individual who Mike was holding the car for. Mike came out and when questioned about the vehicles condition stated. "He did not smell any smoke, did this to all of his vehicles, and wondered how I had seen him?" Then had the Gaul to ask if I wanted to drive the vehicle. I guess he figured if I drove all the way to look at it I would purchase regardless of condition?? I was pretty surprised at his response as this was a supposed 5 star dealer with Google Reviews. I was also surprised he did not apologize once or even offer to pay for my gas. He did however offer to have the detail department "bomb" the interior...in a text message...after I had left the dealership...not sure he understood what I meant by I have severe allergies. I am not rating the entire dealership experience, service department, financing dept, parts, etc. or even other sales people. I am simply sharing my one experience I had, on one vehicle, with one salesperson on 08/24/2014. So take it with a grain of salt unless you are looking at the 2003 4runner, silver, with 82k miles at Danville Toyota. I would finally like to thank Mike for wasting half of my weekend, assuring I will never purchase anything from Danville Toyota and the extra effort it took to compile this review, sign up for an account, and post this. So, in conclusion...can the buyer tell if a vehicle has been smoked in? Answer is yes. Can Mike Berry tell if a vehicle has been smoked in....apparently not which seems odd with a person of his experience.....But, he will spray half a can of cover up spray with the windows up and the ac running..... Just in case:). Lol, best excuse I have ever heard from a used car salesman.

This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had! Price and trade in value were never discussed until the last moment, Kevin tried to hide what all was or should I say wasn't on the estimate. Then while waiting on quote prices he asked me "where did you get your attitude from." This was over looked but then they lost the sale because he gave us a ridiculous price for the trade in value of our cars. When asked to have our keys returned to us they again lied and said that the appraiser still had them when in fact this was a ploy to make us wait until the manager arrived. The manager then proceeded to try to show us on his cell phone where he got his quotes from he however quickly scrolled through the screen so we couldn't see anything he was SUPPOSE to be showing us! We told him we just wanted to leave and he then turned around and picked up our keys that had been on the counter the whole time because no one had been in that area since we had been there with him. We Drove straight to Burglund Toyota in Lynchburg traded both vehicles for what we were asking for and had nothing but a Excellent experience. I will from now on be driving the extra 30 mins to Lynchburg for all my vehicle needs and will never buy another vehicle from Danville Toyota again!

2011 Sienna, dealership car, 6mo needed new tires. Promised by two people we could have In 6 mo it needed tires. We were told the distant pacing cruise control was available for the van as an after market. It isn't, 2011 doesn't even have the option.
