We left that evening after test driving the vehicle assured of all the in and outs of the Forester of our choice. We came back that following Saturday to close the deal with a down payment and financed the remaining balance. We visited numerous Subaru Dealerships, but Curry in Cortlandt Manor really sets the bar. Chris Federighi really takes pride in his work and his knowledge of the Subaru models makes him an important asset to their sales team. We didn't really have to look at the manual, because he literally explained to us verbally the basics of the vehicle's settings during our test drive and examination of the vehicle's interior and exterior . Best car buying experience ever
This was my 7th and by far the best car buying experience. Every aspect of it was excellent. To start, they offer "no hassle" prices up on their website (which no other SUBARU Dealer in my area does). I had done a ton of research on True Car and Consumer Reports and I knew this was a fair and competitive price. The only fee on top of this (beside tax) was a NY documentation fee of at$97.50 and some cost specific to our need to register the car in CT which is done at cost (~$300 about half of which are CT fees and half is the cost of the service to take care of it). The car was for my dear elderly parents. All through out the process the sales support was friendly and no one pressured us to buy things we didn't want. Our sales person was Gabe Kourie and our finance person was Klitos Manuel both of whom were lovely. We spent most of the time with Gabe who was truly the best car sales person I have ever dealt with. He was responsive, respectful, helpful, organized, knowledgable about all the features of the car and, most impressively, very patient and effective in explaining these features to my parents who were driving a 9 year old car with none of this stuff!If you are in the market for a SUBARU We enthusiastically recommend that you go to Curry SUBARU and ask for Gabe!

Just picked up my first Subaru after driving Honda's for 23 years. I wanted a small SUV and the Honda CRV just felt too much like a truck. CURRY SUBARU WASTED MY TIME
I factory ordered a car from Marc, he said the order was being placed the next day and the car would be here in 4-6 weeks, specifically he said it would be in "at the end of September". It was getting closer to the delivery date and I hadn't heard from him in a couple of weeks so I called: 1) I felt he wasn't friendly on the phone- you would think he would be since I just bought a car from him.... I felt like he forgot who I was 2) As I was asking questions I felt like he was rushing me off the phone. I was very annoyed. Anyway it got closer to the end of September(week5) and I hadn't heard from him except for when he called to tell me he was going to be away for a week- I asked him if the car might come in while he was away and he said no. When I called at week 5 he told me the car wasn't coming in at the end of the month and "they weren't making that color right now" WHEN WAS HE GOING TO TELL ME THIS???!!!! He asked me if I would be interested in some other cars that they had in stock. I spoke with the sales manager and he said the car was ordered but he didn't know when it would come in. I'm thinking- who knows it could be months?? Why wasn't this sales rep more upfront with me?? I have to say that they were good about refunding my deposit but the whole experience left a bad "taste in my mouth". I would never buy a car from them. I went to BREWSTER SUBARU and the experience was FLAWLESS.

I don't like writing, but in this case, I found the Marc DeBenedictis was very helpful in finding outif I would be better off trading in my 2014 Forester for ownership of a new car or would itbe more beneficial to lease a new car. Because of a special that they offered. I decided to lease a new 2017 Subaru Forester, with all the new bells and whistles that the new car hadI was more than happy, I felt that I would be more comfortable, safe, and able to travel alone withthe new Starlink feature.

This is my 6th Subaru and 5th that I bought from Curry along with 2 Fords. Although my wife and I understand Subarus, Marc actually spent more time explaining the new systems and nuances than he spent in the sales process. My car was totaled in a rear-end collision. As my last 5 cars were Subarus I was probably getting another, but a friend raved about the RAV4, so I went online to check cars and prices for which I had to put in my contact info. The next thing I knew, I was swamped by car salespeople from all over New York and even as far as New Hampshire. EVERYONE tried to sell me a car, and some were so avid they were willing to pick me up and bring me to their dealership, even when it was quite a distance away! I told them all I was faithful to my own salesman, who sold me all my previous cars. And Marc did not disappoint. He came through with a great price and awesome service. He helped me with every detail including moving my stuff TWICE out of the rental and into the new car, because unfortunately, the first time I managed to collide the new car door with the rental car door inadvertently, and then he had my brand new car fixed! I can't thank him enough, he does everything efficiently and with a smile, and I can't even imagine where he gets all his energy- but he's always the best. I give Marc my highest recommendation, he will not disappoint you!

I had a good experience purchasing a new Subaru. I was greeted immediately upon entering the dealer and they found me a salesperson to work with. Sales associate Marissa Dinki was extremely helpful and informative when showing me the options on the new car and made finding the right one easy. She's very upbeat and attentive and made the experience enjoyable. Business manager Gabriel Casanova answered all of my questions and immediately put together a few scenarios for financing upon my request. There was never any pressure about a particular decision. After picking up the new car, Marissa followed up with me a day later and then a week later to make sure everything with the new car was OK and to ask if I had any questions about any of the features. We previously purchased a Subaru at Curry, and have had two serviced there in the past. We've been satisfied with both sales and service, and I'm glad to continue to do business with them.

Disappointing customer service
My husband and I visited this location on a Saturday afternoon to check out the Subaru Legacy. I was so disappointed. After taking my husband's id the salesperson returned with the dealer plates, the wrong keys,then there was no car to test drive. He then prceeded to ask us if we were intrested in buying a car today. He said he could find a car to test drive but they would have to take some of the air out of the tires. Thenhe said would you like to drive to our other location to test drive. This poor rookie was sinking and no help from the manager. So I asked to speak to a manager. This poor guy went to go ask the manager but he walked past us and him. Then he went pass again , sat down and shrugged his shoulders as we walked out!! Not one word from the manager. Left there feeling insulted as though we weren't worth their time. One of the worst customer service experiences ever. Thanks Curry Subaru!!!

So this is my first ever Subaru purchase and it was the first time I can truly say that purchasing a car was a GOOD experience. I am a long-time Subaru owner - 2 Outbacks which I owned for 10 years each. I purchased a 2016 Impreza last November. After a few months I realized I didn't enjoy the experience at all. Honest, Quick, Nononsense
Aftyer 40 years of buying cars (30 buying new ones) it is refreshing to do business with an establishment that does not waste your time. No 30 minute wait while your salesperson "tries to push" the deal you worked out with them through the sales manager. No mystery fees tacked on to the end of the sale. No heavy duty hard sell on the extended warranty options. Both sales persons I worked with were (Kurt and Gabe) courteous and informed. They asked me what I would need to seal the deal; I gave them a price; and then within five minutes they had met it. Delivery took less than 1 1/2 hours including a final test drive, car education, and financing. This is the fourth car I have bought from them and it gets better every time.
Warm welcome from Eric upon arrival and nice, clean waiting area with TV and coffee maker. Marc quickly brought extra chairs for our kids and listened to what we were looking for in a vehicle. We checked out the inventory and were pleasantly surprised to find several vehicles that hadn't yet been added to the website! Marc guided us away from a vehicle with an accident listed on the CarFax report, and really took the time to figure out what we (and the kids!) were looking for - he even looked up specs to make sure our son's large instrument would fit in the trunk! He was patient as we test-drove more than one vehicle until we found the perfect fit. Stephen stepped in and walked us through all the paperwork, patient as we asked questions and made sure everything was taken care of. We were able to pick the car up same day, and it had been buffed and cleaned up with a nice bow hanging from the rear-view mirror! Marc walked us through the features (even set our new GPS), high-fived our kids and took pictures of our family in front of our new Subaru. Such a wonderful experience for our whole family!

the dealership is located in a convenient area to get too. after owning 4 curry subaru's i find this location easy to get to and also easier for getting the car served .Just pull up to 2 large garage doors they let you in service writers are right there to help. waiting room is pleasant with TV coffee tea for you. But most importantly the sales person marisa Dinki was beyond great. She explained everything to us before we got the car. Kept us informed on the track of car so we knew when it was coming. When the car did arrive on time she took all books out pre marked all the pages for us so it was a lot easier to find information on different topics. I was considering trading my Subaru Forester for a new or newer vehicle when I received a call asking if I still owned the Forester and if I was interested in meeting with someone to start the process. I purchased a new Subaru Legacy back in 2011 at Curry Subaru and couldn't have been happier with the entire experience - courteous and knowledge salesperson, helpful staff and excellent vehicles. Not surprisingly, I returned to Curry 5 years later in May with my 18 yr. old son to look for a safe, highly rated used car for him. We had done our homework and a 2013 Hyundai Sonata was top-rated and fit our budget. Our salesperson, Marissa Dinki, steered us right toward the exact car we wanted, right down to the color- Black. She let my son test drive the car for a good chunk of time and did not make us feel rushed. She was knowledgable about the car, very friendly and there was a relaxed, "no pressure" way about her. When we decided to purchase the car, we returned the next day, took care of the paperwork and when we stepped outside, Marissa had tied a huge ribbon on the rear view mirror with a sign saying "Congratulations!" Recent Service Visit 2015 Legacy
I recently came in for an oil change and for service to check on what appeared to me as an exceptionally loud driver side wind-rush noise permeating the cabin starting at 50 mph and steadily increasing in volume. At 80mph quite loud. Good news: Oil change was on the house, Phil Grimaldi , my service advisor, who is great by the way, said first one is free....nice! Now about that wind-rush noise. After taking a ride with a service tech doing the driving at the wind noise trigger speeds he determined that noise appeared to be nothing out of the ordinary and did not indicate it was a serviceable condition. He cleaned the weatherstripping and window seat cavity but that was all he could do. I guess I'll have to live with it.
Highly recommend Gabe Kourie
Purchased a 2016 Outback. Gabe made car-buying a surprisingly pleasant experience. He is very knowledgeable, listened to me and helped me to determine which model/options best suited my needs. There was no pressure to buy. He gives attention to every detail and kept me informed throughout the process. He is extremely patient and courteous. Delivery took a while due to the amount of equipment on the car and Gabe took as much time as was needed to make me feel comfortable when driving away. Relationship does not end when you drive away. He even follows-up after. The experience felt more like dealing with a trusted friend than a sales consultant. Other staff members were professional and courteous. Pricing was no hassle. Recommended Unecessary Service and Unattentive Employees
Came in for my complimentary oil change and had to wait five minutes for a different service employee to come in because the only guy available was too busy looking down at the computer screen. The employee that helped me then pushed a differential fluid change for $150 (for a car with 15,000 miles on it) since it's "recommended service." I asked if it was in the service manual knowing that it is not and he said yes.These kind of deceit cannot make me recommend the service department and I will not be coming back to get my car serviced here ever again.When I came back, there was a line of three or four people waiting to pick up their cars because there was only one service employee at the counter, another 10 minute wait.
Patient, Professional, not Pushy
I now recall that Marc Debenedictis worked with me for way over 6 months as I considered many options. I started with exploring buying or leasing a used Impreza; whether to trade-in or not and/or how to add another car. I had to decide for whom I was getting this second car: me or my son! From Marc's creative knowledge of options such as Military Offers to Leasing vs. Owning, I drove off with my new Legacy with Eyesight Safety feature. This is my 3rd experience with Curry Subaru and my 3rd Legacy Sedan with the All Weather package. Now we are a TWO Legacy family, and my job is done. My son has received his Legacy from me, in advance. I cannot speak highly enough about working with Marc. As I said above: Patient, Professional, not Pushy. But more than that, Marc is thorough, available, approachable and more. (Yes, the post-it notes in the driver's manual show all that). Through the years, from my black 2005 turbo, to my gorgeous 2011 Golden Brown/Bronze sedan, to my current beloved back seat driver Extra Safety Model: "Mom" for short, I have enjoyed dealing with the Finance Team, the Service Team: (All unsung heroes: Go Nancy Fiducia! and everyone.), and now, with Marc. I went into Subaru with little to no knowledge about car buying as I had not made a purchase since 2004. Marc Debenedictus spent HOURS with us going over everything from how to take care of liens on my old car to test-driving used cars, to pros and cons of used versus new, buy versus lease. He made me feel incredibly comfortable and confident in my decision to purchase a new Crosstrek XV. He made it so that I could come in at 11am to look at the car and drove out of there in at 6pm. Update - 2011 Legacy-Chronic Misfire Problems since May 2015
Hi DealerRater readers;After 10 long months and many, many interactions with Curry and Subaru a very amicable solution has been reached. I am now in a 2015 Legacy 2.5i Premium with 11+K miles. Curry Subaru's management people, Doug Wood, Sam Graffeo and John Caputo were instrumental in securing a vehicle that has more than satisfied me. Curry Subaru breaks the negative stereotypical view of "used car salespeople"". I will say though that had I not been as persistent as I was and did not follow up as often I may not have gotten the desired outcome. Having said that I doubt if there are any other dealerships around that would have been as accommodating in bending over backwards to make me a happy customer regardless of the persistence and follow up. The highest accolades goes out to Curry management and staff. I am sure I will have much better luck with the new vehicle. I will definitely go back to Curry when the time comes for a new car. Maybe a BRZ or an Impreza WRZ next timePS: I do have 1 suggestion for Curry staff. In this electronic age e-mail, texting etc. has eclipsed talking on the phone. The Curry staff should be better prepared and more agile, as a matter of best customer service practices, to be able to engage a customer, like me, whose communication and interaction with them is primarily driven via email. When staff is out of the office an "out of office message" should be displayed back to the customer so unnecessary follow up e-mails are generated.

All went well during search and final choice of a used vehicle. Salesman very helpful, patient, forthcoming, explaining options of extended coverage on a used vehicle, trade-in value of my own vehicle. I was happy with the transaction. It was a cash deal, and I was directed to the sales manager to finalize the deal.He went through the bill and I was taken aback about an additional insurance coverage for tires/wheels of 599 dollars. I felt it had just been slipped in. I told the manager I didn't want that and mildly expressed my dismay that this hadn't been mentioned before. It would have been easy to miss. He made a show of twice tearing up the contract, and while printing out the new one of telling me - in what I felt was a sarcastic way - that if I didn't like that one we could tear this one up as well. The tenor of the transaction had changed, leaving me with a bitter taste in my mouth. K. G., the salesman was somebody I and my family would do business with again. In fact we had just bought a new Forester a few months ago and made a point of waiting till he had finished with another customer so he could assist me. 2011 Subaru Legacy - Chronic Misfire Problems since May 2015
If you are a frequent visitor to DealerRater.com you may have seen several posts from me regarding my ongoing 8 month Curry Subaru experience regarding the chronic, recurring misfire/power loss my Certified Preowned Legacy has experienced, since I signed the papers back in May 2015. At that time the car had only 11K miles on it. Last time I was there the GM, John Caputo, said the Service Manager, Doug Wood, was confident service pinpointed the problem had fixed it once and for all. Well as of this writing my car is in the shop again with the same problem and the service staff is still stumped and unable to diagnose the root cause of the problem. It has been a series of trial and failure for Curry service which appears to lack the expertise to deal with this issue. The longest problem free run with this car was about 3 straight months out of the 8 that I've owned it. This time the service department said they found a problem with the ABS system but when asked what that had to do with the chronic misfire/power loss issues I have been experiencing since May they could not give me an answer. So they are driving my car around hoping the problem happens when a technician is driven the car. We all know at never happens. Curry did dig up a few cars for me to look at but the majority required out of pocket expense up to 3K. I already put down 2K on the crippled Legacy. No way am I committing additional capital or increasing my monthly payments or duration of the financing period. 2 other replacement vehicles were shown to me on Tuesday12/1/15. One color was horrible, caramel bronze; the other was white with ivory interior. White on white doesn't work for me. Just to show that I was not unwilling to meet them halfway I asked my salesman, Stephen Balbour, to tell me what my monthly payments would be on the white legacy. He said he couldn't because it was in the hands of Sam Graffeo, Used Car Mgr. and John Caputo, the G.M., who were conveniently out to lunch when I arrived. Now wouldn't you expect these guys to at least be there and show face to an unhappy customer that has been experiencing nothing but trouble with one of their highly touted CPO Legacys for 5 out of the 8 months I had the car. So that day I wasted my vacation time from work, my wife's time from her daily activities and to boot my car was not ready. I have made it known to everyone I have spoken to at the dealership that I fear for mine and my wifes safety in the car given that it has stalled out and died in traffic at least 4 times since May 2015. My wife refuses to travel in the vehicle for any non-local or interstate distance. The Hyundai Elantra they gave me as a courtesy car has no floor mats, smells like someone smoked in the car, the windows were filthy inside and out and the low tire pressure dash indicator light is on. If my patience were placed on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being most patience I am at a 2. I have been accommodating and respectful but Curry doesnt appear to be trying hard enough, and there is no communication to make me feel warm and fuzzy from senior management. Most I got was we are working on a solution. They talk the talk but now it is time to walk the walk. I may have to seek other means of remuneration other than waiting for Curry to swap me out of this problem plagued car and into a reliable Legacy of comparable color, mileage, payments/loan duration, same options/standard and optional etc. etc. with no out of pocket or down payment required. I will gradually lower my rating for this dealership until I have been forced to seek a resolution outside of the dealership. The only person I feel has been 100% and no B.S. has been James Papa, Asst. Svc. Mgr.
Exceptional sales staff
The overall experience with the sales staff, in particular Marc DeBenedictis, was pleasurable. Considering that we had to travel 190 miles round trip to Curry Subaru, twice, the test ride, negotiation and purchase all was handled professionally and efficiently.
Experiencing the Crosstrek
We recently bought a new Crosstrek and just love it. Our salesman was Rich Gallagher and he did a first-rate job. We test drove the Forrester and the Crosstrek and Rich was great in explaining the pros ad cons to each in respect to what we told him we were looking for. Once we decided upon the Crosstrek, he was very patient with us and very thorough in describing all the necessary functions of the car. Thank you Rich!
Leasing anothe Subaru Forester after my lease was over.
This is the second time I have leasd a Subaru Forester with Marc DeBenedictis. He is the ultimate professional and knows everything about the cars that he sells. He is very patient, thorough yet extemely efficient and intelligent. He is always available for any questions afterwards and always follows up on every phone call along with being extremely proactive in calling me to ask how I was doing with the new 2016 model.

Kurt Glass was honest, respectful, and went out of his way to take care of every small detail. Even after the sale was made steps were taken to make sure our medically fragile baby boy would have a clean and safe car for years to come. Love our new(used) car! Update : A month later -> Head gasket leak, failed throwout bearing, failed idler pulley (was told timing belt was done), and bad Catalytic converter (was told this was a heat shield). I am disappointed and was taken advantage of. On calling service department multiple times I have received no calls back.Update : Within hours received a phone call from James. Their willingness to try and work this out is commendable. Will update with the resolution.

Cuury Subaru Really Stepped Up!
I received a call from the G.M John Caputo who saw my not-so-good post and he asked me to retract or soften it because they didn't have enough time to consult and come up with a plan to deal with my problem. So I did as he asked to give them the benefit of the doubt an wrote the following. "My last review was not good but I have to say once we got over the communications gap Curry really came through for me. They took back my Silver 2011 Impreza which I had for 8 months and put about 8K miles on it. It originally had 34K. They got me into a metallic graphite grey 2011 Legacy with 11K miles that was in mint condition. I did have to fork over 1K but hey, it was well worth it. The Legacy was everything I wanted. I have to give high praise to Curry for sticking with me for about a month and a couple hundred emails ironing out the details, arrangements etc. It isn't often that dealership will take back a car that you drove for 8 months. My payments were only 15 bucks higher and I made it up with a lower insurance premium. A win-win situation. They even through in Subaru's BlueConnect so I could use my phone hands free, for FREE. I can say with confidence that Curry will do whatever it takes to make their customers happy. If and when you need a new car GO TO CURRY SUBARU in Cortland. If you don't you did yourself a big disservice."
Marc was amazingly helpful in making sure my nephew got an excellent car! Despite the time crunch involved, Marc definitely got a workout as he seemed to be everywhere working numbers, getting the car prepped and expediting our visit in a most pleasant visit. The most impressive part was how he seemed to magically make sure all the insurance and registration paperwork got handled. Very friendly and knowledgeable, he walked us through the features of the car, answering every question without hesitation.
Professional and personal
Bought our 3rd Subaru this week from Marc D. and the team at Curry--despite a 30 min commute to get to them and other dealers far closer to my home.. From the receptionist (Amanda) to the Manager (John)---every thing about this dealership is top notch. Treated fairly and treated well. My First Subaru - Forester
I purchased a 2015 Subaru Forester. I used the online True-Car Price quote through Consumer Reports Magazine. I was contacted by this dealership and one other. Upon my arrival to the dealership, I found all of the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Their online associate I had an appointment with (Reid Ferris) was swamped with customer appointments ( a Saturday) and I would have had to wait for quite a while to meet with him. Sales associate Rich Gallagher introduced himself and readily agreed to provide me with all of the assistance I needed in getting the information I was looking for (Forester), allow me to test drive one and subsequently make the deal to purchase onme. Rich was courteous, friendly and very personable to work with. I ordered my car from the manufacturer. My vehicle arrived as ordered and in a timely manner. Mike Russo handled the paperwork and financing. He was excellent at disseminating all the financial information, extended warranties and NY States Lemon Law. I had a positive experience and recommend this dealership.

My first Subaru

Marc was SO helpful - he was able to not only get a great deal on the car, he bought us our of our lease for the toyota. I really can't say enough good things. Shopping for my third Subaru - had a Legacy wagon for 8 years, then a Forester for 12 years. This time I got a Crosstrek and am very pleased with it, discovering all the new features that weren't even available on my previous Subarus. The salesman was very patient and informative, even set up my phone on Bluetooth. I really like the fact that important features are standard on Subarus and you choose the ones that are important to you by choosing the model you buy.

A friend of mine, Colleen works in the Toyota service center- when I contacted her letting her know that I was interested in a new Subaru she said she knew just the sales person for me- Marc DeBenedictis. He contacted me immediately to set up a convenient time to meet. Once he knew exactly what I was looking for, even though it wasn't on the dealership lot, he was on a mission to find it. He kept in constant contact with me, even shared his work schedule so that I knew when I would be able to hear from him. He also made sure to make my entire family comfortable while we were in the showroom- my mom, dad, and fiancee all wanted to be a part of the experience. He took time to explain all options that came on the car and elaborated on new technologies I wasn't familiar with. This is how car shopping should be
No matter how much you read about cars, study reviews and consider predicted reliability there are two other things left: Your own experience driving (and liking or not) the vehicle and the comfort level with the dealership and staff you buy it from. This is a relationship for a couple years and you need to be comfortable with them. They dont treat you nice before they have your money, what do you think is going to happen AFTER they have your money? Fortunately, Curry Subaru is a pleasant experience and that why I bought my Outback 3.6R from them. Marc, my salesman, organized a 3.6R for a test-drive and also a Forester Turbo that I requested for comparison. Decision was made to purchase the Outback and we agreed on a reasonable price without any annoying old-school sales tactics like back and forth to the manager for fifty times. The shop is busy but mainly routine service. I recommend Curry Subaru for anybody in the area looking to buy a reliable car with All-Wheel-Drive, tons of room and under $40k. And no, nobody paid me to write this and I am not affiliated with the dealer.

Having owned quite a few different models of Subaru's in the past I knew what I was looking for, so when it came down to the actual purchase of a new car I chose the dealership that could serve me best. Outstanding sales department, so so vehicle prep
I initiated this purchase while still living in Germany. The Internet Sales person, Amanda and Sales person upon my arrival, Reid were outstanding. Their hard work and efforts should be commended. From the initial response I received from Amanda Havilland, to the conclusion of the sale through Reid Ferris the sales experience was outstanding. The only complaint I have is for whoever did the actual vehicle prep inspection. When I drove off I noticed that the vehicle seemed to ride very rough as if the tires were solid and not pneumatic. After a quick check I discovered this to be correct, the tires were all inflated over 45 pounds per square inch! The recommended pressure in the owners manual and on the door sticker indicates 29 for the front and 30 for the rear! Having a pound or two is understandable, having 15 pounds over on a day when the temperature is well below freezing is a clear indication of a failure to perform a task properly! This amount of overpressure creates a risk of a blowout if a tire strikes a pothole or other obstacle. It also affects the steering and handling! As a highly experienced Safety Officer for the Department of Defense I well know and understand these dangers and the potential to cause a possibly fatal accident! sending a vehicle off with an unsafe condition is unforgivable!

A Most Pleasant Experience
I took my 2012 Hyundai Tucson in for service (my first time at Curry). On a whim, I decided to look into obtaining a 2015 Subaru Outback. I was escorted by the Hyundai service manager to the desk of Mr. Marc Debenedictis. From the outset Marc was a pleasure to deal with. Marc has a pleasant demeanor. Genuine! Not phoney! Marc took the time to listen to me and what I was hoping to accomplish (get out of a maturing Hyundai lease and into a new Subaru lease). LISTENING! That's very important. From the outset, Marc did did not pressure me into anything. He simply laid out my options and let me make the decision. I decided to get a new 2015 Subaru Outback. Mark was completely honest with me as to pricing and to how long it would take to get a new Subaru. Mark told be it would take 2-8 weeks, perhaps more. And sure enough, I got a call exactly 8 weeks later to let me know my car had arrived (factory ordered). The process of picking up my new car and dropping off my Hyundai couldn't have been handled more smoothly and efficiently. The finance dept. was equally as efficient.I would recommend Curry and especially Marc Debenedictis.

Reid Ferris of Curry Subaru, was an excellent salesman, straight forward to deal with. I told him what I wanted and he got me what I needed. I had purchased from him before and knew I could trust him, unlike others I had dealt with. As a matter of fact had a Subaru dealership in my own town and went to another state, in order to deal with Reid as he was that upfront and honest. Purchased 2015 Forester
Nancy in the Service Department directed me to Marc DeBenedictis to help me with my search for a new car. Marc was extremely helpful - he took me out for a test drive and explained many of the new features in the 2015 Forester (I owned a 2008 Forester). He listened to what I was looking for and helped find me the perfect fit. Some salespeople will try to sell you everything, but Marc explained the pros and cons for each of the accessories I was considering to help me make the right choices to fit my needs. I found Marc to be very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. He always had a smile and tried very hard to make sure I was happy with my choices. The dealership is very clean and bright and all the staff very welcoming without being pushy. I purchased a 2008 Forester from this same dealership and have always been very happy with the service department. I will definitely continue to bring my new 2015 Forester there for all its service needs. The service department (Nancy especially) has always been very friendly. My car has always been returned in top condition and clean. Special car, fast turnaround
Reid Ferris was very tuned in to our needs and had the perfect car for us. We were looking for a low-mileage 2014 used car and ended up getting a 2015 that had just come in that day. It had all the features we wanted and many extras and Reid worked with us to get it into our price range. Since we needed the car right away, we were very pleased with the expedited paperwork while we went out for lunch and the full detailing so the car looked fresh off the showroom floor. It was clear that the entire team pulled together to make sure we were completely satisfied, down to programming the steering wheel blue-tooth for my phone before we left. A Pleasant Accident
By chance I inquired about the satisfaction of a Crosstrek of what i thought was a general customer at a local gas station - I felt I received honest, genuine feedback at the time only to soon learn this customer was Reid Ferris - a Sales person. From that interaction and point forward I believe I received honest answers to my somewhat probative questions from each Curry employee.
Not a great experience
The good: Stephen B and Emilio were extremely nice and helpfulThe bad: I explained that I have bought several cars in the past and know the game and want to avoid any of the "typical games" dealers play when negotiating. They still played all of them. Running back and forth "asking their manager (Sammy)" playing good cop/bad cop, and refusing to come down $2.00 a month on a payment. I walked out. I guess they thought I would call back but I didn't. Plenty other dealerships to go to. They called me 3 days later asking if I was still interested and they would be willing to come down more on the price. I returned that day. I returned and saw "Sammy" whisper something to another manager. That other manager then approached me and set me up with Stephen b.. I sat down ready to work out a deal when all of a sudden the lights shut off. Customers still inside the dealership and they shut the lights off to close for the day. Stephen apologized but it was obvious it wasn't his fault and was the management. I expressed my displeasure and left once again. I received a call a few days later from Emilio asking if I was still interested and that the car was going to be sold pretty soon (indicating that I'd better hurry up and buy it or someone else will)....good game, but if that was the case you would have never called me. I will never return to curry Subaru, nor will I recommend anybody to go there. I've dealt with other curry dealerships and have had great experiences. I went to another dealer and bought the same car without all the games. I don't blame the dealers, I blame management.

I traveled all the way from the Bronx to this dealership. I got the best price and the best customer service ever. I went to three (3) other dealerships before this one. Some weren't as nice as others. My sales rep Marc, took the time with me before I bought the car and after when I picked it up. I didn't feel rushed at all. My husband and I have dreaded purchasing a vehicle all of our car buying lives. We never liked negotiating and always felt a little bit 'had' or 'taken'. This was not our experience with Reid at Curry Subaru. We performed our research, mostly online, so we were knowledgeable about the Subaru line-up and were pretty ready to purchase. Reid knew his stuff, answered all questions, took his time and did not employ 'sales' techniques (or at least obvious ones, just can't eliminate my New Yorker cynicism). We are previous Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota purchasers so this was our first foray into the Subaru World. Reid and his team, including the finance manager (car loan was a good one) and sales manager, were knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, helpful and efficient. Although my wife and I live In Fairfield, Connecticut, our trip to Curry Subaru proved to be well worth the ride when we picked-up our new 2015 Subaru Outback. Our salesman, Reid Ferris, was ready for our scheduled visit, had all the paperwork prepared, and our brand new Outback was out front for our inspection. Although this is our 11th new Subie, it is surely the most attractive and best one yet! After Reid took us through a demo of the multitude of features, synching Bluetooth to our phone, including the downloading of the entire phonebook, we headed for home. We have purchased two Subaru Outback cars from Curry Subaru and both times we had the pleasure of working with Marc DeBenedictis. On both occasions Marc immediately gave us his undivided attention, answered every question, took his time answering our questions and promptly obtained information and answered our questions on the day we showed up to buy a car. Unlike some experiences where we seemed to be treated as if we were just browsing, Marc took us seriously and helped us quickly have the information we needed to make a choice and purchase the car which influenced our decision to purchase the car from Curry Subaru. I am not one for spending days going around to shop for a car. We had done our research on line and knew what we wanted and did not want to spend more time than necessary executing the deal. After we purchased the first car, we returned to Mark again three years later when we decided to buy another car and were equally satisfied with our car purchasing experience.

My third purchase with the Curry organization in 20 yrs. My wife and I have known Mr. Ferris for 5 years. We purchased our first Subaru (Impreza) with Reid in 2009 for our daughter when he was at Georgetown Subaru in Norwalk. One year later. I purchased my first Legacy sedan. 3 weeks later, that vehicle saved my life when an impaired driver hit me nearly head on. Reid was able to not only replace my vehicle but he convinced the insurer that the degree of damage to the new vehicle was a"TOTAL" loss in respect to the standards that a Subaru should provide; particularly to the damage of the intricate drivetrain. My replacement Legacy was prompt and well priced and 85k miles later, I'm ready to upgrade to the new 2015 Outback with all the new options and paramount safety features that they can muster to satisfy this customer! Oh yes, we also replaced my wife's Jeep with a new Forester as well. Their flexibility in pricing and discounting their options were more than fair and prompt answers to my financial questions were respectfully answered and negotiated to my satisfaction and budgetary concerns.
Marc DeBenedictis went above and beyond
The experience at Curry was my first time buying a Subaru and only second time buying a car from a dealership. Marc was totally accommodating and truly made the experience a pleasure. He answered all my questions, humored my father, even made us lunch reservations and never made me feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. He handled my trade-in quickly and when it came time to pick up my new Legacy he personally double checked the maintenance work that was done on it, spent more than thirty minutes explaining how the settings worked and safety features, and even sent it back to the shop to have the window washer fluid filled up all the way - even texting a few days later to check on how I liked it. Plus, it's almost 6 months later and the 2011 car I bought looks like it was the right decision - no problems or issues. Great buying experience - AMAZING CAR!
I'm currently leasing a 2015 WRX with Curry Subaru, and the experience so far has been great. Rich Gallagher let the car sell itself with a proper test drive, and gave some really good advice about the upkeep and preserving the driving experience. His follow up has been phenomenal. I opted for the maintenance plan and tire/wheel protection, so time will tell how it works out with the service department.

My Experience with Subaru
Recently, my husband and I went into Subaru to get more information about the Impreza. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Mr. Marc DeBenedictis. I have been looking for a 2015 Subaru WRX or STI to replace my 2003 BMW M5. Reid was excellent is helping me navigate through various choices, and options. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of Subaru cars, as well as other performance cars such as M5. We were told by another dealer that the car we wanted was impossible to find, and we were getting desperate because our lease was about to expire and we needed the car fast, not a good position to be in. Couldn't be happier
I first went to a dealership in the town that I live in, and was very unhappy with the whole experience - poor salesmanship and no stock for a Forester. I then drove 45 minutes to Curry, where I got the vehicle I wanted, and April, my sales person was great. 2 days later when I picked up the car, April spent as much time as needed to review everything. She called me a couple of days later to see if I had any questions, and I just received another call from her (1 month from purchase) to make sure I was happy with the vehicle. Overall, an outstanding experience.

Today I picked up my new 2014 Subaru Outback. This is my third Subaru any my first from Curry. I couldn't be happier with their sales staff & management. Went to Subaru to help by daughter buy a car for her college graduation present. We were greeted (no aggressive salespeople) nicely at the door. Marc Debenedictis (sales consultant) was every knowledgeable about all the cars we looked at. He made my daughter feel very comfortable with all the paperwork and the whole purchasing process once she decided which car she wanted. When we went back the next day to pick up her car, Marc had put red bows all over the car and balloons, he took pictures for us and just made the whole experience wonderful. He spent time going over everything in the car with her and was very knowledgeable about everything the car was capable of. Marc has been the only salesman I used through all 3 of my Subaru leases. Be sure to avoid Curry Subaru. As a former Curry Toyota customer, I thought that I would get the same service as I did at Curry Toyota. Instead, I was lied to repeatedly and called/emailed relentlessly.Curry Subaru salesman John Sullivan accidentally took me out in a car that was a higher end model than the one I inquired about. Then he tried to negotiate with his manager and came down to MSRP on the one that I wanted. John called me the following day to say that I was "right to look elsewhere and could get a better deal.When two dealerships offered lower prices with more features and better terms, I gave Curry Subaru a chance to match it. John let me know via phone and email that his manager agreed to match the quote. When I asked for the quote in writing, his tone suddenly changed and he told me "that might be a problem." About a half hour later, his manager emailed me as though they had never agreed to match the price. I asked John what happened to his manager promising to match their price and he replied He changed his mindWhen I gave them an opportunity to explain why I was mislead, Curry Subaru sales manager Eric Erbsland put it on me as though I was being unfair to expect them to honor the quote and put it in writing. He wrote it would make me a liar if after telling you that $365 was my best deal to then lower the payment further. I dont do business that way. This is seriously how they handle customer service.In short, Curry Subaru is unprofessional and disreputable. Call around and do your research and avoid dealing with these unscrupulous salesmen.

This was my first car purchase in my life and Jag was the employee who helped me find the right Subaru for me. I brought my parents along with me and my father suggested looking at a Subaru Impreza, but from looking at the cars in the lot, I remembered that the Impreza was smaller compared to some of the other cars. I explained to Jag that I was looking for a car that had more room than the Impreza, a car with heated seats and all wheel drive since I was moving to North Dakota and the weather in the winter is extremely cold, snowy and windy. He listened to what I said I needed in a car and from there he suggested looking at a Subaru Crosstrek. After he described the Subaru Crosstrek to me, I thought it could be a good car and after the test drive I realized that the Crosstrek was a good car for me and was what I wanted and needed. I thought Jag listened well to me and made sure that I got the car that I needed and wanted instead of what my family may have wanted for me. This was the worst experience I have every had at a dealership, I could not get them to tell me how much they would sell me a car for. I asked multiple times. I went with the Edmunds True Market Value and I asked them several times to tell what they could do I got nothing. I told them I would looking to finance they came back with a sheet with number on it, there was no car price there was no interest rate there was no information at all. I felt as though they were being very deceptive. I ended up going to another dealer the next day, paying what I wanted to, getting the True Market Value, and being very happy. The experience I had on day two was 180 degree from the experience I had at Curry Subaru, I would not suggest this dealership to anyone.

We bought a Subaru Forester from Marc in 2002 and went back to Curry for maintenance and repairs as needed. Nancy and Phil were the people we liked to work with. When the check engine light went on a third time and we needed front and rear brakes, we decided it was time for a new car. Marc was still there, and though we had to wait for him we were told he was worth waiting for, and we did. Happy we did. He was very pleasant, helpful and knowledgable - and was extremely patient answering our many questions. Marc agreed that leasing was a better option for us this time around and that the smaller Impreza would meet our needs since we also have a three year old Honda CRV. In other words no hard sell to buy another Forester for twice the monthly payment. We thought about waiting and he was fine with that, agreed we could order one and pick it up six weeks later. It was the manager who asked why we wanted to wait. Turned out they already had the car we wanted - they have a lot of cars in stock. No pressure from Marc, but we read that sometimes people never get the car they order so we went ahead. Picked up the car a week later and Marc showed us everything about it. He even highlighted the important items in the manual in multiple colors. We love the Impreza. Drives great. Comfortable. Etc. When we're ready for a new SUV when this lease is up we'll definitely return to Marc.

I am 35 weeks pregnant and recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2010 Outback, working with John Wyllie. John was very attentive to our needs and never pushed us to look at vehicles outside of the range we provided from the beginning. John is very friendly, personable, and a close listener. He is a hard worker and returns your calls promptly too! He even went on three different test drives with us to ensure our comfort! The sales team also had a scratch and dent fixed beautifully on the tailgate of the vehicle we purchased and it looks good as new! Two days after picking up our new vehicle, while driving on the highway, several warning lights illuminated on the dash. At 8 months pregnant and driving alone, this was very disconcerting. As it was a Sunday (service was closed), and my husband was at work, I phoned John at the dealership to discuss my concerns. John took my call very seriously and spoke with several staff members to gauge if the vehicle was OK to continue to drive. He even set up for the car to be serviced the next morning. It turned out to be a faulty gas cap - phew! While our overall experience was good, we were disappointed in the detail job on the car when we picked it up that first day. After expressing our disappointment, both John and his manager arranged for the car to be cleaned thoroughly. When we returned to pick it up, we found John himself putting finishing touches on the car, ensuring it was as clean as possible. My wife and I purchased a car through Mark DeBenedictus. It started with a brief phone call and BUSY Saturday appointment. We had all intentions of purchasing a forester. During our test drive, & by chance we actually test drove an outback. All this since the since keys were available and the car had to be moved anyway. Quickly we found that the outback rode much better. Inside with Mark we found that A used car was more in our price range but the in stock used were either too little or too much. We would try again another day.To be honest... I have always been Leary and a bit distrustful of sales dept. Contrary to this statement... I actually was at ease. We came into the dealership to car shop and see what our options were in regards to trading in two older Subaru's, a 2001 Subaru Forester (my mother's car) which was sold to us by Marc back in 2000 and a 2000 Subaru Outback limited (my car). I purchased my 1st Outback in 2004 and considered updating to a 2011, so went back to the dealer neay my home to check out my options. I could not get a quote on a turn in or a purchase unless I was ready to buy that day. I left and went to Curry, where I purchased a new Outback. Several months later, I regretted not getting the limited edition. I called to request to meet with a sales consultant who would not use high-pressured sales techniques. I made an appointment with Marc DeBenedicitis and traded for an upgrade that was in stock. Last week I decided it was really a bit big for my needs, so considered trading it for a Legacy sedan. After finding a potential car on the Curry website, I called Marc and arranged to drive it that afternoon. He had it ready when I arrived. I decided it had a few too many options and what I wanted was not in stock. By the next afternoon, Marc called to let me know he had located a car for me. We agreed on a few add-ons and it was ready for pick up on Friday. I'm very happy with this sedan that is more suited to my current driving needs. Marc D was an incredible sales consultant! He was pleasant and helpful at all points of the transaction of purchasing my new car right down the bow he placed on my car when I picked it up! He spent a considerable amount of time teaching me about my new car and helping me get my phone set up with the blue tooth element in the new car. I would certainly buy a new car from him again!

Purchased a new 2013 Outback Limited during the last week of 2012. After a few false starts with the Curry internet team and one of the sales managers prior to coming into the dealership, we were fortunate to be passed to Emilio Cuko. Emilio is a superb salesman that worked with us and was very detailed with the entire process. Although it was the end of the year and the dealership was very busy, Emilio was very patient throughout the engagement and we never felt rushed or pressured into a decision. During the test drive, he explained the features of the car and made sure that we were comfortable with everything and that all of our questions were answered. At time of delivery, he reviewed all of the features in the car and even paired my phone with the Bluetooth system! I would definitely recommend Emilio to anyone that wants a great Subaru car buying experience.

This was my third Subaru, all from Curry. The Outback seemed a good choice. If my rating was based on my experience with Marc D., my salesperson, all the numbers would have been 5's. He was very helpful, letting me road test 2 vehicles, and very helpful in explaining the various features. I would highly recommend Mark D as salesperson. My reason for 4's instead of 5's overall, was because of the pressure I felt to purchase an extended warranty after I declined at the start. John S.
