They wanted to seal the deal so bad that they let me drive away with a 60k vehicle and come Tuesday, they wanted it back due to lack of finding financing after a assuring me while signing paperwork that our credit and income look good. They ran my credit through the mud because they were scrambling to find financing. Salesmen are pushy and they have like 4 people involved in the deal back and fourth and can't get a straight answer. These people are jerks and not friendly at all, what a shame!!! Jaime is the worst!

Tried to schedule an oil change and tire rotation through Cadillac.com, website led to Capital service where you inputted year/make/mileage etc. To choose appointment time it says you have to call if within 2-3 days so I scheduled appointment. My wife took car in and they charged TWICE the charge listed on the site. When I called 2 hours after picking up the car they said they would not honor any coupon- even though site still offers "special" (and still shows to "call" for appt.) We also have a Buick and did the same thing with Power just last week, they had no problem with honoring coupon. Buyer beware- they will stick you..

I was contacted by a customer service representative from Capital Chevy. If I where rating that one employee there would be 5 stars but the service department gets no credit or stars. The result of Capital Chevrolet lying to me and charging me for service under warranty was my entire engine being destroyed. I had to have my entire engine replaced at another dealership and fight for it to be covered under warranty. After this Capital Chevrolet did refund me for services done to my engine. If you have issues I would try to contact there customer service Rep. Charley, he seems to genuinely want to resolve these types of issues.Thank you Charley E.

DO NOT TRUST!I was illegally charged for services that where under warranty and treated horribly when I asked about my warranty. I was told they couldn't find it. I dealt with Mark Fast and Aaron Trueblood in the service department. This company knowingly charged me for services that should have been free and denied it to my face but finally admitted it only after getting another dealership involved. PLEASE DONT USE THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT... BEWARE!I am currently having to get the same issue fixed at another dealership that Capital Chevrolet charged me over 1,500 without fixing the issue. The 2nd dealership I went to immediately found the problem and informed me I was wrongfully charged at Capital Chevrolet. CAPITAL CHEVROLET ARE CRIMANALS BY DEFINITION.

I bought my Dodge truck from this company 8 months ago and took it for a test drive. After the test drive I told the guy it was overheating he felt the radiator and said no it is fine. They then brought a guy out of the office to had me sign a little pieces of paper that said as is no warranty. They know how badly I needed the truck. They kept reassuring me it was OK. I signed the paperwork and drove it home five miles where it overheated. I called them and they said bring it back in. They gave me my trade in car back while they fixed the truck. When I came to get the truck back they said it was a bad water pump. And asked me if I wanted to pay the $500 or they could add it into my financing. I had totally gotten taken by this company. I will never recommend this company and will never buy anything here again. I took my truck in for my free oil change but I am worried they will break something and charge me even more making my oil change not so free. If you buy there take a certified mechanic with you to go over your vehicle so you don't get taken like me.Update: They did try to make things right with me they gave me my $500 dollars back, however it took me writing this poor review of them for them to even respond to me. I believe they still owe me but my poor review still stands would not recommend or anyone about this poor dealership. They are not a good dealership to buy cars from avoid at all costs.

We recently traded in our 05 Dodge where Kurt arranged to pay off my car with the equity from the trade, I was able to keep my car, and then get my husband into a 2016 Silverado 3500. I have tried for the last 4 years to get my husband to get rid of the Dodge because the back seat was a joke and my kids (6'6 and 5'10) couldn't fit it. I contacted Kurt and asked him to help me get him in a new truck. Kurt had a super laid back sales guy work with my husband and take him on an extra long test drive. During the test drive the salesman showed my husband ALL the bells and whistles, finally convincing him to trade in that stupid Dodge. Kurt made the numbers work as close as he could with what I asked for and the deal was done. My husband hates the paperwork part, so I stayed and completed everything, then Kurt brought the documents by our house for my husband to sign and to drop of the new truck and take the old one away.So happy with Kurt Willis and the service he gave us, as well as, the brand new turck.

It's their way on the Park way.. Not yours.. I will be exercising my first amendment right via You Tube here in a couple weeks. I recorded most of the conversations, lies, fake window stickers, lies, fake MSRP quotes, lies and e-mails I've had with the Sales and Service folks at Capital Auto group. I'm passed and beyond being pissed off. They really need to change their mission statement to Fraud with a smile! I will never again do business here or recommend anyone go to Capital Auto Group. There retention director, I'm not sure if he directs anything other than purchasing on line reviews and having them removed. All talk and no do. I bought my used Duramax after a few years of waiting for just the right truck. I was open and honest with the sales team with what I was looking for (as looking for a used vehicle I can't be too picky with color, paint condition, and mileage...) and they found a truck that fit my needs pretty closely. And with financing, I was a little bit of a tough case to get done and it took a few days - but in the end I was able to get the truck I had been wanting and worked with a great team from Bentley the sales guy, to Brandon the finance manager. My purchase was fairly stress free besides the financing part, which was out of the dealer control besides working with the bank to get me approved. Thanks all!

Last week I went to Capitol Chevrolet-Cadillac for the purchase of a used vehicle. I went with preapproved financing from my bank of choice. The purchase went very smoothly until the session with the F & I portion. Unbeknownst to me, the F & I person ignored my preapproved financing and financed it with the institution of his choice, not mine. As the loan agreement does not indicate what organization is carrying the paper, I was not aware of the switch. I then contacted my auto insurance agent and instructed them to send my binder to my original bank. Imagine my surprise when I received paperwork from another bank giving me an account number, payment date and also demanding my insurance binder.I can't rate this individual as I don't remember his name and he didn't provide me with a business card. All I can do is warn other buyers as to this practice.

I was thrilled to find the right used Camaro convertible at Capitol, despite the dealership being located 600 miles away from my home in San Francisco. The team was very accommodating - they picked me up from the Portland airport and drove me to the dealership, and provided a full team to assist me throughout the experience - customer service, sales, mechanical, finance. This was my first car purchase so I had many questions, and I found the staff to be helpful, knowledgeable, and very friendly. I came prepared to inspect the car in great detail (coming from out of town), and I'm glad I did. The car was initially provided with bald performance tires and curb-bashed premium rims. Considering the vehicle was CPO and had only 18k miles, this was surprising, and frankly a bit concerning. The team was willing to provide new tires and replace the rims with a used set in much better condition, but not without negotiating and a fee. There was one other negative experience, but I'll note upfront the team did a great job fixing it. When I first inspected the car it hadn't been detailed yet, and I was promised it would look spectacular afterwards, which was fine with me. They completed the detailing while I was going through paperwork, and when I came out, I found, to my surprise, the freshly-detailed Camaro entirely stained with water spots. I was upset they hadn't been removed, and the team tried to explain about it raining in Oregon... only after expressing open frustration and some choice words did they agree to remove the water spots. However, as I said, the team fixed it - they brought the car back around for a second try 45 minutes later and it was completely flawless and beautiful. I was floored and truly grateful. On the whole, this is a good dealership with a strong, customer-focused team. I think that at all dealerships you need to arrive ready to identify issues and stand up for yourself; what makes Capitol a good dealership is their responsiveness to raising those issues and the relentless focus on the customer needs and experience. Thank you for selling me my very first car, a 2011 black Camaro convertible. I am thrilled with my purchase, and glad I chose to fly to Salem to work with Capitol. A special thank you to Darren for guiding me through the day, and to Rolo for his quick and beautiful work on the car.

I brought a new Escalade from Capital and experienced the following:A) I traveled 40 miles for my first visit. I had went there so they could see my trade in and we could not reach agreement so I left. The sales person called me after I was almost home and agreed to my desired terms. After I spoke to the sales person several times I was not informed there was a difference in what had been quoted. I traveled the 40 miles to pick up the new vehicle only to be met by another sales person who informed me that I had a great deal but it was several thousand higher than they had committed to over the phone.B) The test drive I took was in a white Platinum Escalade and I was told the black one was identical. The sticker confirmed it was the same even down to the heated and cooled cup holders but there were no heated and cooled cup holders in the vehicle- this I found out after I left the dealership and had signed all the papers. They were to get back to me which has yet to occur.C) Once I was in with the finance manager we discussed warranties for the first time. I asked if the warranty product was GM which he avoided answering. I told him I had been burnt by a third party warranty company before and had no interest in any product other than that of GM. I got the warranty booklet today and it is not backed GM. I also asked for "bumper to bumper" coverage. The "contract" as it is called is loaded with exclusions and appears to be far from bumper to bumper.To say the least I feel foolish but there is very little to do about it now.

LOVE THIS COMPANY AND WHAT IT STANDS FOR. LOVE THE OWNERS. Everything about this company kicks butt EXCEPT the service department. The manager of the service consistently does not make things right for the employees cars that get worked on. It's so sad that employees have to go someplace else to have their car serviced correctly. And if its not serviced correctly they make it right. Unlike Aaron the service manager at Capitol Chevrolet. FRUSTRATING!!!!!!! You should be able to count on your own company. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company EXCEPT the service department!!!!! Sales, the collision center, and parts are GREAT!!!!

Just wanted to comment on the Service Department, and hope that the CEO will see this, or at least someone of influence. I tried to schedule service on-line, but could not read the boxes on the form, so I was unsuccessful in scheduling an appointment. I concluded that because I am using a Mac, the system is not compatible with computers other than a PC. Next, I called the service department to set up an appointment, and was promptly forwarded to Aaron Trueblood in the Service Department. I was surprised that I got his voice mail, but was assured he would get back to me as soon as possible. A day later and I have yet to hear from Mr. Trueblood or anyone else for that matter. Not so much as a "by your leave". In the meantime, I made an appointment at Vic Alfonso Cadillac in Portland for the next morning, drove there from Salem (round trip of 100 miles), and found a resolution to my service problem in less than an hour. So here is my message to Capitol Cadillac: "I would rather spend more of my money and time traveling 100 miles round trip to Vic Alfonso's Cadillac and be treated with respect than waste any more of my time with Capitol Cadillac".

I purchased my first Subaru Forester new from Capital in 2007. Unfortunately if was totaled on my way home from Salem in 2011. Even though all of the glass was shattered in the accident I got out of the car and walked away without a scratch on me. The Forester is a very safe car! I replaced the car with a used 2006 Subaru Forester from Capital. The car was in "like new" condition, and the employees at Capital have kept it that way at the scheduled service visits. After having my wife get the oil changed at another Subaru dealership in Oregon City I was driving the car In the Salem Or. area and stopped to get gasoline. As my habit is I also checked my oil, and was not happy to to find it had been way over filled. I did not want to drive back to Oregon city so I called The service dept. at Capital Subaru. I talked With Mike Lewinske, and he got me in to check out the situation. They changed the oil, and filled it to the proper point, and also found the tires were overinflated in the rear. I enjoyed waiting for the car during this time in their nice service area with great coffee a fire and T.V. I would recommend Capital Subaru and Mike Lewinske as they took the time to do the job right and make sure that I was happy with the work. They also noted that the oil had been overfilled, and I was able to contact the service manager of the other Subaru service that had overfilled the car in the 1st place. They are sending a check to reimburse me. Good job Mike at Capital Subaru.

I have worked with Chris Millard when I bought another car at another dealership. When I was ready to buy another car, I went to where Chris was newly employed. I love the customer service I received when I first met Chris, which is why I chose to drive from Corvallis to Salem to work with Chris again. Eric Dunlap made my fourth purchase from Capitol such a happy experience! He was knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. I was buying a new red Outback for a 70th birthday present to myself. Even a 70-year-old can research online what the best price is and what she should get for the trade-in on her 2006 Outback these days, so the awful days of wheeling-and-dealing are things of the past. Having a salaried employee helping you is so very pleasant. Eric got the seat covers changed our for me. I haul more dogs and kayak gear than people, so I needed leather seats. They look great. Marcus was the most personable, friendliest, helpful, kind, considerate, attentive listener, who did not try to "sell" me a car!!! He did however educate me, shared his extensive knowledge of automobiles, validated my opinions, and offered positive encouraging words, which gave me the confidence I needed to "buy" a car. Marcus was very professional in answering no less than 100 of my questions respectfully, without talking above me or talking down to me, during more than 12 hours spent together. He drove from Salem to Tualatin to show me a vehicle, then I spent the better part of a day at your dealership.I have already shared my experiences with family and friends alike, even strtangers. In truth, I would not own the vehicle I have, if it were not for Marcus discerning my needs and want lists regarding an automobile.Presently, I am a handicap woman who uses a walker, and I am deaf in one ear. I would like to take a few minutes and compliment the Capitol Chevrolet sales and service departments for their prompt and friendly service on my recently purchased 2012 Chevy Sonic. I bought the car a few months ago with the assistance of Jamie Mogle. The purchase process was hassle free and I love my Sonic. I was due for an oil change so I was going to take it in to the Capitol Chevrolet service department for service. Today, I noticed a bubble in my tire and took the car in to the Capitol Chevrolet service department to be looked at. I received a courtesy phone call from the service writer within an hour of dropping the car off to be looked at. My oil had already been changed, tires rotated and two potential recall issues had been addressed. I am very pleased with the service I received from all of the employees that I have dealt with at this dealership. Dealing with Capitol Chevrolet was a great experiance. Marcus, my sales person was very professional and easy to work with. The dealership is brand new and state of the art and wow, what a selection. My wife and I have been looking at hybrid and all electric vehicles for over a year and the Volt seemed to offer the best engineering and practicality. We traded in our 2002 Porsche Boxster and leased the Volt (I know, quite a switch). The lease payment ended up being so low that we will actually save money every month by not having to buy gas. My husband and I went to look at the Chevy Traverse. We were approached by a salems man who was very friendly, but knew nothing about the cars. We knew more than he did. He kept saying that he wanted to sell subaru's not Chevy's. As the wife, I was pretty much ignored during the process. I do not think anyone at the dealership, other than Joe Sawyer, the finance guy even asked my name.The salesman did not sell us the car. He was lucky that we knew what we wanted already becasue other wise we would have walked away. When it came time to do paperwork I again was ignored and only my husband was asked for his information or asked any questions. Again, it is obvious that we are married and there to buy the car together. In fact, I was the one who was asking the questions and getting the facts about the car and it was always directed back at my husband.I find it quite rude that they did not asked if I wanted to be on the title or have any input on the buying process. When it came time to trade in our truck (the truck was actually mine and I knew everything about it), I was not asked a single question about the truck.My husband asked if he needed to run home and get the truck while I signed the papers. He was told that I needed to go home an get it because he, my husband, would have to sign the papers. I said that I cannot get in the truck easlily because I am 8.5 months pregnant and asked if I could sign the papers first. (I still thought that my name would be on the title). I was told that my husband was needed to sign things and I was not.So I had to drive my pregnant self home, get the truck and bring it back.Once the car was ready to go the sales person offered to help my husband set everything up and go through the manual with him if he wanted.... I was standing right there!!!I would like to say that the fininace guy, Joe Sawyer, was amazing!! He treated me like an equal and acutally had a conversation with me. By the time I left there I felt like I was the most uselss person. It should have been obvious that a three row crossover would have been more for the wife and the kids. I have bought several cars with my husband over the last couple of years at different dealerships. Two of the vehilce were large trucks. In each case I was treated just like my husband and not ignored.I was extremly upset by the time that we left. My husbnad went back the next day to see who we needed to talk to about getting my name on the title. He was told that since the paperwork already went through there was nothing that they could do.The employee even told my husband that I wasn't ignored...I just must have been gone while all the paperwork was being processed. My husband made it very clear that I was sitting there the entire time and was not even asked my name. I even offered to sign papers and made it clear that I was part of the buying process.We were told that the only thing that we can do is go to DMV and see about having my name added to the title. So now, we have to spend more time and money after spending 5 hours there last night and almost 50,000 dollars....The people were very friendly with my husband and my daughter however I might as well just stayed home... I will not recommend this dealership to any of my friends because of the way I was treated.

My entire experience with Capitol Subaru was friendly, efficient and overall very impressive. They made buying my first car a fun and easy experience. After being told at a different dealership that my car was not to be found anywhere, Christine, Dan and Jamie found it within 20 minutes of my first call. They worked quickly to get my car to me the next day - with plates and all (and Jamie worked hard to get it for me from the other dealership: even trading a more expensive car just to get me the one I wanted). After a week fighting with another dealership, I called Christine at Capitol at 2pm, they found my car by 2:20pm, I signed papers after work that day and they had my car for me the next morning. They were always happy to answer my questions and really made me feel as if my happiness was the only thing they cared about. They didn't pressure me into any decisions and they gave me exactly what I asked for. Mike with financing also answered all my questions clearly and I felt comfortable and taken care of as I signed the papers. I know that they went above and beyond to deliver me an overall great car buying experience and I will definitely be back for my next purchase. Back in December 2011 I went to Capital Chevrolet in order to sell them a truck. BY the end of the appointment, and after informing them that I was going through a divorce we established that I could not leave the dealership without a vehicle.I explained the situation to them regarding the divorce and that I needed a 4-door car for myself and my two young daughters (ages 2 and 4). I also told them what my budget was. I asked that they place me in a vehicle that was reliable for myself and my children.I guess I should not have been so honest witht hem about my marital problems. After learning the situation, they saw a bulls eye on me. The salesman that I worked with gave me one choice in vehicle. A 1990 Honda Accord. He told me this is the only car that he had for me. My price range was at about $3000. Once bringing me the vehicle, the sales man rushed me through the sale and practically pushed me out the door. Since leaving with the vehicle I have had nothing but trouble with this vehicle. The problems are listed below:1. All for windows did not roll up completly. The 2 back ones would not roll up at all.2. The transmission is slipping.3. I recently had to replace an engine gasket because oil was coming up through the spark plugs.4. There is an oil leak.5. There is a transmission leak.6. There is a cracked head.When filling out the paper work with the "salesman" he again rushed me through this. There was one sheet in these documents that he did not fully disclose. It was a document stating that I had 3 days to inspect and return the vehicle. The salesman tri folded this sheet and when walking me through the papers, showed me the top part of the trifold which did not show that I had 3 days to return. Then he flipped the bottom part of the tri fold where it required my signature. Follishly i signed.If I had kjnown that I had 3 days to inspect and return, this vehicle would have been brought back immediately.When I asked the salesman for blue book pricing, he said that he couldnt find the pricing because the vehicle was to old. I recently found what he meant. Blue book would only list what this vehicle is valued at in great condition. Not the poor condition that this company sold this vehicle to me in. The blue book value for this vehicle in excelltnt condition was $2600. They charged me $2750 and would not budge or try to work with me on the pricing for this poor excuse for a car.So not only did this company sell me a vehicle that was is very poor shape and still continues to need nothing but extra work, but they also forced it on me for a price that was much more than the car was valued at. So besides getting ripped off and taken advantage of, but they also knowingly sold me a bad car.This dealership showed absolutely no honesty or integrity. I have bought close to 15 vehicles in my life and I have to say that I have never had such a bad experience buying a car.Even when reporting them to the BBB, they are not trying to work with me.These guys are scammer.

Mark Crawford is a very professional and honest sales person. He is articulate and respectful. He explain the features of Cadillacs at which we were looking in terms we could understand. He helped us decide which models are best for us. Overall, we had a great experience with Mr. Crawford.We looked at several new Cadillacs and drove one. We liked a Crystal Red pre-owned 2009 DTS best. At first, we couldnt come to an agreement on purchase price. After looking at other makes of luxury cars and talking to other dealers around the state, we went back to Capitol Chevrolet-Cadillac and was able to purchase the 2009 DTS at an equitable price.
