Everyone I worked with at Bud Brown was very accommodating and personable. I could tell they put time into looking over my information and immediately made connections. All communication I had with the various employees was exceptional - very fast response time, checking in to make sure they had all my questions answered, etc.I traveled from out of town and they made my experience at the dealership very seamless. I spent very little time waiting while at the facility and they reached out to make sure I had all necessary paperwork and information available before I even arrived. Bud Brown VW never fails to deliver!

I hate shopping for cars, and in general, I hate car dealers. I realize their job is to sell cars and that takes a certain amount of time. But at most dealerships the process is far too slow and involves too many layers of people for my comfort level. That approach has not been my experience at Bud Brown. I just completed my third shopping/leasing experience, and in a few months will go back for my fourth. They just make it easy!

I bought a certified pre-owned 2015 GTI Autobahn. Max was very knowledgeable and thorough, demonstrating all the features and benefits of the car with practical demonstrations.I wasn't looking forward to purchasing a car after an unenjoyable, high-pressure purchase from another dealer several years ago. This purchase was a completely different experience. Absolutely no pressure and no haggling! Very straight forward. All of the staff were friendly, polite, and professional.I was offered a loaner car when I made the purchase because the new car still had to go through the certification inspection (I turned down the offer because I was keeping my old car). A loaner car was offered again when I brought my new car in to the shop to get a second key programmed and the ignition button replaced due to some cosmetic wear (no need this time either because the work was performed quickly).I contacted Max via email with questions on a couple of occasions after purchase. His responses were succinct and timely. I appreciated being able to send in a question in the evening and get a reply the next morning.A week after purchase I noticed a bulge in the side wall of one of the rear tires. I hadn't driven much during the preceding week and didn't recall hitting a curb or pothole or anything that could have caused such damage. I was disappointed that I might have to purchase a couple of new tires only a week after buying the car. Max asked me to bring the car in to the shop as soon as possible. They replaced the tire at no cost to me, even though they were under no obligation to do so! They determined that the other rear tire was new enough to not need replacing.A special thank you to Max and the Bud Brown dealership for going above and beyond to take care of me!

2009 Used Tiguan

I would just say an average overall experience. Nothing really over the top. I would have thought the dealer would have been a little more appreciative with our business. Maybe it was the heat, who knows.2nd key supplied with vehicle would not unlock doors when we got it home. Had to look up how to program key fob, not a big deal though. Vehicle seems fine so far and overall a good value. Our first VW so time will tell if we will buy another.

My wife and I just leased a 2016 Passat from Bud Brown VW. It was a great experience. Missy McConnell was very knowledgeable about the product and the process. We had recently visited a different dealer and they did the stereotypical car dealer nonsense (making you wait while the salesmen pretended to negotiate with the finance guy, coming back with ridiculous extra fees, etc.) I am soooo glad that our experience at Bud Brown was nothing like that. They were up front about the fees and went the extra mile to ensure that we were satisfied. Missy even gave me a ride from my work so that I could pick up the car.

My first Volkswagen experience was amazing!

My first time going to a Volkswagen dealership was a lot better than I thought it would be. Dealerships make me nervous in the first place and hate to be hounded. Bud Brown was nothing like that, I felt at ease and relaxed. It was my first time test driving a Volkswagen and a great one. Shannon was very helpful and knowledgable on each of the models of VW. He made it easy to fall in love with the golf! Casey made buying my golf fun, his geeky love for the VW and a long time owner of several different VW over the years was helpful in my decision. No one likes paper work or talking about the money part of buying a vehicle, but Chuck worked with me and understood that this was a big purchase for me and did not take it lightly. Everyone at Bud Brown made me feel super comfortable and I would highly recommend them to anyone I know. You guys rock!!!

great service prices and experience with Jake Watson

Am rating this dealer solely based on service. Had an excellent experience here service-wise for our VW Tiguan. Dealt almost exclusively with Jake Watson and would highly, highly recommend him. Probably the best service person I have worked with during the last 20 years. He was always friendly and extremely important for me, would always take however much time was required to explain the situation in whatever level of detail I wanted (which sometimes would go way beyond what most customers would want), and I never felt rushed. Usually he already knew the answer, but if he didn't, he would take the time to find out and call me back. At new car dealerships, you normally expect high service prices. That is NOT the case here at Bud Brown. Not only was the quality of their service work excellent, their prices were really reasonable. They were lower than any other dealer and sometimes lower than independents. I was really amazed by their prices. In fact, eventually started bringing our Mini Cooper for service because their service work was so good and so reasonably priced. I really cannot say enough positive things about my experiences there with Jake. Also wanted to mention that this dealer provides free service loaners. Don't know if all VW dealers do that, but my suspicion is they probably don't. And yet they still had really low prices for service anyway. Yet another reason for people to bring their cars here for service instead of somewhere else.

Easy Purchase, Great Brand, Felt A Little Duked

Great purchase and love the dealership. Salesperson was good except for one small detail. I had one request for it to have Bluetooth phone connectivity for my daughter. I was told my vehicle had this option. I was verbally told on more than one occasion and even had a detailed conversation about the microphone placement. I drive it home five minutes away and cannot connect her phone because it was not an option after all. I immediately called my salesperson and got "oops, sorry, my mistake". I was given zero resolve and no alternative corrective measure (aftermarket or swap radio). Kinda felt like there could have been a resolve.

Easy Purchase, Great Brand, Honest Salesperson

Great purchase and love the dealership. Salesperson, Casey was great. There was some confusion on an option and I didn't realize until after I drove off the lot. By the end of the day, Casey went far and above his required duties as a salesman and made it right. If you want a no pressure, honest salesman with integrity, go see Casey.

Dream car

I had been looking at GTI's for awhile now. I was working with the same salesman before Shannon and he just wasn't the Best guy to work with. He was completely clueless on everything. Any question I asked him, whether it was about the car or financing.. He had no idea. So once I started to talk to Shannon, it made me happy to finally be able to talk to someone who knew what they were doing and what they were talking about. He made this experience great! Used car

This is the second review I am leaving for Bu Brown Volkswagen as the first seems to have got lost out in the internet somewhere. We purchased a used Passat from this dealership in the beginning of December 2015. I have to tell you I am glad the first review got lost but the feeling is still the same. We have had the vehicle for two months now and it truly has been a joy to own. We had a problem right off the bat with the car and I told them about it but I did not want to fix it right away as I wanted to see if their was anything else wrong with it. I waited about four weeks and reinterated the inital thing that i had found wrong with the car when we purchased it. The service problem took care of it without a problem and there was no charge to me. I don't buy a vehicle every week so sometimes you have to go with your gut on things. In the case of Bud Brown Volkswagen I am certainly glad I trusted my gut instinct. If you want to buy a volkswagen and I know they are having their issues right now with the mileage certification on their diesel vehicles but please in no way should you not buy a volkswagen from this dealership. They went way out of their way to accommodate myself and my wife. As far as I am concerned they did right by us. Thanks for reading " Skip "

Best Volkswagen Dealership in Kansas or Missouri

Bud Brown has outstanding customer service. Everyone I dealt with from the Receptionist to the General Manager treated me with the utmost respect. BudBrown has a very large selection of Certified Pre-Owned inventory to choose from, so I was able to test drive three different certified Passat's. This much certified inventory was not common at the other VW dealerships I went to. Shannon Strong is the individual I worked most with in getting the deal done. I'm a very indecisive individual, I've been looking to purchase a car off and on for two years and Shannon made the experience easier on me. He was very knowledgable about each vehicle I test drove and was able to explain how the AutoWorld Certification works with Volkswagen. The certification was a key part for me, because I was purchasing a certified vehicle and some after market certifications don't cover much, but the AutoWorld covers basically everything but the wear and tear of the vehicle (very important). The negotiation was very quick and easy and I never felt like the dealership was taking advantage of me. They gave me $600 more than the other VW dealership offered for my trade in. If you are in the market for a VW, I highly recommend going to Bud Brown and speaking with Shannon Strong.

Scorpio Didn't Cry

We went into the dealership just browsing some used inventory in the area. We had been looking at another dealership, but Bud Brown was just down the street, had some cars we were interested in, and has a great reputation with some VW enthusiasts we know. We decided to stop in and see what was there. We needed a car in the next couple weeks, but had no intention of purchasing today.We were greeted quickly by a member of the Bud Brown team and a salesperson was not far behind. Ron came out to help us and was friendly, patient, had a good sense of humor, and didn't rush us through the whole experience. There was a lot of anxiety about purchasing a new-to-us car and Ron and Chuck were both very patient and reassuring (in a calming, make the best decision, we would rather have a repeat customer than a sale today kind of way) throughout the long process of driving, considering, and signing on the dotted line.

Fantastic service

We have a 2000 New Beetle that would intermittently not start, or would start but then shot off. Took it in and they replaced the fuel line sensor. Caught it acting up and thought they found the problem. However, the issue cropped up again. Took it back and they replaced the ignition switch. No charge for second visit since they did not figure out the issue the first time. very nice staff.

We went in only intending to browse. Theo showed us a number of cars and took his time, test driving and explaining all the features. By the time we left, we had bought the perfect car for us.

I bought a 2014 VW Passat this past weekend and had the privilege of being helped by Theo. I wasn't on the lot longer than 2 minutes before I was greeted by him. He wasn't pushy or obnoxious, he was casual and friendly. I already had the car picked out I wanted to test drive, and within 5 minutes of being there, we were on the road. Outstanding Customer Service

While on a trip, from Oklahoma, to your area on 1-21-16, my vehicle started to smell like burning wires. I was afraid that it was going to catch on fire at any moment. After speaking to my brother about my situation, he suggested that I head over to Bud Browns Volkwagon and check out their selection of vehicles. I informed him that my credit wasn't very good and he said not to worry about it, they can take care of my needs. I was very skeptical. However, to my amazement, they were able to sell me a certified 2015 Volkswagon Jetta! Awesome car and a spectacular team, to make it happen. Thinking no sales person would venture out in the cold, a gentleman walked over and asked how he might be able to help me. He introduced himself and the next thing I knew, I was testing driving a 2015 Passat. Ron Sumonja, did not hesitate to help me in my quest to find a nice automobile at a reasonable price. I took pictures of the car and sent to my wife. I told her about this amazingly wonderful sales person and the rest, well, I now have a Passat in my garage and a very happy wife. My wife had the opportunity to meet Ron and they hit it off like to old friends growing up in high school. I very nice gentleman with a no pressure, no nonsense approach to selling us a car. Awesome car buying dealer!!!

This was my first car buying from a dealer and I was looking for a car for awhile. When I found a good deal on AutoTrader app of a used 2012 Toyota Camry. I was pleased that I could find Shannon he was patient, helpful and friendly. He was one of the most patient sale person I ever had. He didn't push to buy the car like others have a tendency to do. Quick and Easy!!

We found the Chrysler 300 on the internet. So we drove an hour to look at the car. It was everything they promised on the internet. My husband and I was met outside by salesman Ron. He was very friendly and understood right off that I am not a person who likes to shop for cars. After a test drive he was very patient with me as I made my decision to purchase the car. We signed the papers and was out the door in less that 45 min. Ron contacted me the following week to make sure that I was satisfied with the vehicle and has called 2 times after that. 2016 Passat

We recently purchased a Passat at Bud Brown and had a great experience with Missy McConnell. This dealership is not local for us but we decided to check it out based on their reviews and a less than stellar experience at another VW dealership. We received immediate follow up to our online inquiry and at the dealership Missy made it easy and very straight forward. Missy was a pleasure to work with and went out of her way to make sure we got what we wanted same day (the car we wanted had to be transferred from another dealership). Great people, great experience

This was my first car-buying experience, and I was stressed, having to replace my previous car which got stolen, but the employees here took good care of me. Everyone I spoke with, including the manager Rick, was very polite and helpful. Missy took the time to explain various aspects of my contract, and I got a very fair price for my vehicle! I walked out with the keys to a 2016 Jetta Sport, which I adore, and it is a joy to drive! I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone within a few hours of Olathe.

Simply Amazing

Bud Brown VW has an amazing, super-helpful, and hard-working staff.I'm not being paid to write this or anything. I was blown away with their service and how they treat their customers. I live 2.5 hours away from this dealership, but I would love to purchase a car from here again as they work hard for your business. From my first internet inquiry, Smokey was great in immediately contacting me and answering any questions I had. When I arrived to the dealership, Smokey introduced me to Eric who was my salesman. There is still this stigma where car salesman are seen as the enemy. Eric is truly your best friend. He works hard for you. He doesn't sugar coat anything or tell you lies. He's honest, straight-forward and will explain thoroughly in detail your vehicle. He knows a lot about cars too which helps! From there, his sales managers were both fair with their assessment on my trade and the price of the car. For who wants an easy process, research, research, research, research! I gave them what I thought were fair numbers, and the process was so smooth. I didn't try to low-ball them or anything or be unrealistic. And they were the exact same. They treated me fairly and professionally and it was an awesome experience. Bud Brown must stress customer satisfaction, professionalism, and respect because every single employee I met (from the receptionist, to sales, to finance, to detail) are beyond helpful. This is a great dealership, and if you're looking to purchase a car, I highly recommend them.

I just purchased a 2012 VW Passat at this dealership. I am a first time dealership buyer and was really nervous about finding not only a good reliable car, but also getting the monthly payments I could afford. This is my fourth Volkswagen leased car - my first was a Beetle that I leased in Atlanta, GA; my second was a Jetta that I leased from Molle Volkswagen in Kansas City, MO; my third is a Beetle convertible that I currently lease (and absolutely love) from Bud Brown Volkswagen in Olathe, KS (which, by the way, is about an hour drive each way from my home); and my fourth is a Jetta that I leased just last night also from Bud Brown Volkswagen. I am absolutely sold on Volkswagen - safe, dependable, gas efficient, great prices, comfortable, plenty of leg room, and on and on. But even more importantly was our sales rep - Missy McConnell. On both occasions Missy went way above and beyond what we expected - she is so knowledgeable, but she is also so friendly and honest, she tells it as it is and is definitely one of the nicest people you will ever meet. When we decided to lease the Jetta, we immediately contacted Missy. We met with her the next day and in just a very few days we had the car and it is beautiful. The dealership is incredible, the cars are outstanding and we could not have had a better experience. But Missy is definitely the frosting on the cake.

I recently purchased a 2016 Tiguan from Bud Brown and I couldn't be happier. I had originally gone to another VW dealer in KC and was completely unimpressed. It was such a relief to be treated like a person, not a wallet by Eric Shaver. He was friendly, competent, and most importantly, not pushy. I found the car I was interested in online, I followed with a visit and Andre Bonhomme took me on a drive and answered all my enquiries. I got some good advices on the financing and bought the car the following day.

After leaving another VW dealership in the area, we decided to pay Bud Brown VW a visit. We found the car we were interested in online and spotted it on the lot. Ron grabbed the key and promptly got the car set up for a test drive on local streets and on the highway. After driving it, we were escorted inside to negotiate a sale. Eric was great to work with and didn't waste time negotiating a great deal. The process was as pressure-free as you can get. We will definitely visit Bud Brown VW again in the future.

2016 VW Jetta Lease

I had a great experience with Theo at Bud Brown. He was very informative and showed a lot of care into my leasing experience. He and his manager even worked with me to get the payments more into my budget.However, it was good but not excellent as a whole. Once I showed interested, there was little I could do to get some more time to really think about my decision. I asked for a couple days but they wouldn't stop until I was given an offer I couldn't refuse. Makes me think how much lower I could have gone....? Plus, I asked them to hold my first payment until Thursday (which is my payday), so that I would have enough for the payment. But once all the paperwork was finished, they could have cared less and deposited the check right away, causing an overdraft fee and a couple other transactions to decline. Wish they would put the customer's needs before their own 100% of the time. Not enough to never shop there again, but left me feeling upset and mad after it was all said and done.

Comfortable & Easy

Eric Saver and Rick Pringle were excellent to work with!! I was excited about buying a new car, but dreaded the process. They removed all the aspects I hate in negotiations , and made it comfortable and easy. My car had not arrived at the dealership yet, so they speed up the delivery, and I had my car in a few days!! I have always had a great experience in their service department and was pleased to receive that same experience in their sales.

I had a wonderful experience with Bud Brown Volkswagen purchasing my first VW. Working with Theo and Grant was a pleasure. They were very informative and helped me out along the whole process to get the best deal possible. They also showed me all the features for the new 2016 Jetta Sport before I left the lot (and were just excited as I was). Troy was also a pleasure to work with in the finance department. Best team of people I have ever purchased a vehicle from

Andre had informed me that the dealership had taken in a vehicle I had been looking for, he went out of his way to pick me up and bring me to the dealership (20 minutes out of his way) we figured I would be leaving with the truck but I had some unexpected hurdles, Andre drove me home so I wasn't late for work and the finance team worked together to put the deal in place. Best experience ever!

I recently purchased a Beetle from this dealership. My salesman, Jake Gilliam, was great. His main objective was to make sure I liked the car, not just to sell it. I appreciated his easy going style and genuineness. He was very helpful, explaining in detail how everything worked. In the week following the purchase, he followed up with me several times to see how I liked the car and if I had any questions. I appreciated his customer service approach and feel like I could email him with any questions in the future.

Our daughter is getting ready to turn 17 so I am giving my 2001 Altima to her. So, I had the daunting task of deciding what I wanted to drive. Cars have improved so much over 14 years. I test drove cross-overs, including a Tiguan. I liked it, but I wasn't in love with the cross-overs. We went back to Bud Brown and spoke to Jake Gilliam again. He was very patient with me as I drove three different cars. It was a difficult decision but Jake worked with us and explained the differences in all cars until I finally made my decision...2015 Passat TDI SE. We got a great price on a wonderful car!

Grant was exceedingly patient explaining all of the features of our new car. We are a bit on the older side and a bit technologically challenged. He will meet with us later for a further tutorial. Blessings on him.

2014 Passat TDI SEL

Drove 3 hours from Omaha to Kansas City because the awesome price on the car and because of the excellent reviews that I read about Bud Brown VW. I was not disappointed with either and had an excellent car buying experience.
