A First Class Experience

I have used this dealership for repairs to my Ford vehicles for 35+ years and bought my last two new there. I always (more so lately) feel listened to and accommodated. Over the years they have built a level of trust that I don't experience everywhere. Bill Labonte is a gentleman as well as a salesperson. Will work with your via email

So I live in a rural area without cell service and don't have a home phone, this leads to some issues communicating and I specifically asked about 6 dealers to work with me only through email. Only about two in the MA/NY/VT area that I contacted were willing to do so or even responded. Todd and Brett were the only ones who followed up with everything quickly and gave me straight answers.We haggled a little but basically cut to the chase and had everything worked out for me to swing by and pick it up, all without me wasting my day in the dealer. So, if you like to work via email, like to work quickly and get a fair shake, I'd contact these guys and see what they can do for you.

My husband and I went to Ford of Brattleboro to see Bill Labonte on a Saturday to just look at getting a bigger car at some point in time and ended up finding one we liked and decided to take it for a test drive and ended up going back on Monday and buying it. I needed a bigger car than my ford edge as we have two little kids. This is car number 7 we have bought from ford of Brattleboro and I am sure we will be back soon to see Bill to buy a new truck for my husband.

Quick, Sane, No Nonsense and Kind

This was so easy! I went in for a test drive, and within an hour or so, we were talking numbers. I was very clear about my budget, and Dan Underwood was great about being sensitive to that. There was no pressure, just an adult conversation. Everyone was very pleasant and easy to work with, and made what could have been the usual tense exchange very easy and warm. I highly recommend this dealership, and Dan Underwood in particular. He even went so far as to procure an owner's manual for my used Jeep Wrangler.

I have to say that I have dealt with Brattleboro Ford on two different occasions and both times I was extremely satisfied. My first purchase was a Ford Edge and my most recent purchase was a Ford Escape. Ford has come a long long way. I would encourage you to take some time and look at some of their vehicles. my salesman Brett was not pushy or following me around the parking lot or other annoying things that some salesmen tend to do. He is extremely knowledgeable of every car on the lot. not once did I feel like I was being taken advantage of. I was dealing with 5 other car dealerships on different makes and models and hands down Ford came in the best. With the quality of the vehicle. extremely low interest rate and terms of the loan and was willing to give a substantial amount more for my Subaru trade in then the other dealerships. We inspected, drove and bought a used truck. When we had questions (and one problem) a mechanic drove with me to confirm my observations. Everything was carried out without pressure. I would certainly work with these people again.

Incredible experience in Brattleboro!

I've purchased a number of vehicles in my life. Never before has the experience been as good as here. Simple and straightforward, which is the best way to go. My young daughters and I drove up to Brattleboro on a Saturday afternoon (about an hour away) to take a look at a Ford Fiesta. Brett, the salesman, took the time to show us multiple cars even though our purchase was not going to be the $50,000 F150. After finding a commuter car I really liked, I drove home to sleep on the decision before making it. Sunday morning I left a message stating I would take the vehicle and Sunday morning I drove back up to sign the paperwork. The paperwork was prepared when I got there and I was in and out of there in record time. 2 days later, the vehicle was delivered to my house so I didn't have to drive all the way back! Fantastic.

I made an appointment to test drive a 2014 F150 today. When we arrived we were met by both the business manager, Ginny, and the sales person, Bill as we were getting out of the car. You know how rare that is today!? The truck was everything I needed and Bill and I came to agreement very quickly on the purchase price. Yay it was painless for once! Purchased a used truck

We went in looking at a specific truck, Brett greeted us warmly and helped us find the truck in question. He made a point to greet our 9 year old which she really like, nothing is worse then when the whole family isn't made to feel part of the deal. That wasn't a problem here! After going to Rountree Ford in Keene N.H. and having them hijack the keys to the car I was trading in, and playing all kinds of games to wear me down, by not giving the keys back. Then going to Carbone Ford in Bennington Vt. I finally decided to go see my Buddy Bill Labonte at Brattleboro Ford, in Brattleboro Vermont. The staff went above and beyond. On our way to dealership we ran into road closures due to a parade. The woman on the phone talked us through all the windy back roads. When we arrived they took us right in and got us right out. They went over all the details of service. Truly they are the best. My husband is a bit of a car freak so he has owned basically every brand of car at one point, from BMW to Chevy to MB to Honda?with his used cars I've spent lot time in dealerships service and Brattleboro Ford service is hands down the best. I hate car shopping so very much, to the point where I send my husband to pick out my car without me knowing one thing about it. For some reason I couldn't weasel out of this June 3rd trip. It was enjoyable. Bill was pleasant to work with, personable and funny. He let us test drive by ourselves and I didn't have to deal with that awkward small talk while we just want to look and talk about the car. It always seems like you're at a dealership for hours....days even but we had looked at several cars, test drove, talked money, talked privately, and made a deal, and finally walked out with a new car before 3 hours was up!!! Great Salesman and great vehicle!

I like dealing with our salesman at this dealership. He is always very friendly to my wife and me. The dealership gave us a real nice vehicle, Ford Edge, on a very good deal. It have just under 10,000 miles, so we paid a lower price, but it is a good vehicle for traveling around the East Coast to visit with family and friends. This is the 4th vehicle we have purchased from the dealership with this salesman. We may try to purchase another used vehicle soon here, but are not sure yet.

We purchased a certified Pre-owned 2013 Ford Fusion. Because we were concerned in regards to the clearance of the vehicle given our long, and rough dirt driveway, Brattleboro Ford allowed us to do a 24 hour test drive. Worst Dealership Ever

This dealership is the worst we have ever worked with. We purchased a brand new F150 in July 2015. Within a week there were transmission problems. After that there were issues with the speedometer, instrument cluster, and paint bubbling. The tranny is still not 100%. Granted this is a "Ford" issue, Brattleboro has not wanted to "deal" with the issue. We had to go through the Better Business Bureau for retribution. Finally after 6 months of dealing with a bad truck (and by bad I mean having to drive a rental for a majority of the time because our truck was always in the shop), Ford had agreed to give us a new truck and told us to work with Brattleboro on this trade in. Well, Brattleboro can't seem to get it right. They supposedly had our new truck a month ago so we drove to get it and when we got there, was told it wasn't the right truck. After a month of phone tag and being told that they had our new truck, that truck was supposedly sold and Brattleboro wants nothing to do with the issue anymore. You all should be ashamed of the way this situation was handled. Will never recommend you to anyone and will not purchase another Ford!

Couldn't be happier

I just went in to have a glance at a used car, and left less than 3 hours later with a new car, and all this accomplished on a busy Saturday. Mark started off with asking what sort of car I'd like, and matched me up with the perfect one for me. Brett was amazing! It was refreshing to have him treat the whole process not as just a sale but as a total buying experience of which every part he perfectly managed. I have purchased 5 vehicles in the past 2 years and have to say this was the easiest and smoothest purchase yet! Believe me I have had some bad experiences and even ended up walking out of a few dealerships in the area. I had the best experience I've ever had buying a car at this dealership. It was my birthday and I had been researching SUV's for 2 months. I decided on either the Escape or the Edge. Purchase of F150 XLT

My experience with the Salesman, Brett, and the dealership was an excellent experience which is not what you normally experience when making such a purchase. I felt that they treated us very well and the financial arrangement was fair.

Poor communication, a wasted day.

I came down to Brattleboro Ford to look at a used dump truck. Mike texted me at 8AM that day to make sure I was still coming, which I would take as a sign that the vehicle is ready to look at. I made the hour and a half drive down in the snow to find that the truck was up on a lift with the starter removed and a new one out on order. So, I was invited down to look at it and nothing more. Mike "had to do some training" and after saying hello quickly dashed back upstairs never to be seen again. He left me with a different employee who may normally be quite helpful but unfortunately did not have a single clue about anything related to this vehicle. "Oh well" I thought, better at least look the thing over good while I'm here. I noted several small mechanical problems. One problem of particular note was that the truck had been mounted on the shop floor lift in a way that crushed the side mirror against the lift frame, ripping two of the three mirror mounting bolts out of the door. I pointed this out to Manny and a passing service tech was quick to interject that "it was like that when it got here." I found this very hard to believe since I was looking at the thing visibly bent in and pinned against the lift. We went back inside to talk about numbers. I specifically asked Manny for the manager to come out personally but alas the old car dealership "I've got to talk to my manager in back" was pulled. Mike had previously told me that this truck was being sold as a dealer model, not a wholesale as-is. Turned out he was wrong about that too. The vehicle was wholesale only and the mysterious manager in back refused to put another cent of work in it prior to sale. Not even the mirror bolts that his own shop tech ripped out with the lift, not the serpentine belt cracked in half lengthwise, nothing. Overall I wasted the better part of a day driving down to only look at a truck that was misrepresented to me. Classic experience of what everyone dreads in a car dealership, fast talking salesman writing checks with his mouth that reality can't cash. Not recommended.

Almost two years ago I purchased a low mileage Ford Focus Wagon here -- it was the right car at the right time. With mounting mileage and great end of the year rebates calling, I was able to transition that "right" purchase to a 3-yr. lease deal with a very attractive buyout package to look forward to 3 years from now. Thanks to Manny Metaxas who finessed the switch from car ownership to a very reasonable lease -- Manny helped dispel the myth of "don't ever lease!" to "Why not!"
