I would highly recommend looking at the Yelp reviews before going to this place. I just spent a lot of money on getting my car fixed and now it has problems that it didn't have before I took it in. It is currently sitting by the curb because I don't have the money to fix it because less than a month ago I spent $3000.

every time I come here is have to wait 2 hours or more even if I have an appointment today I was told bring car in at730 and we can bring right down for a rental car we will pay for it because your having a recall done still seating here 845 with a 730 appointment

Summary: 1. Certified pre-owned cars may not be up to snuff here (we drove off the lot with 2 immediately discovered problems) 2. Service department is a nightmare. (Definitely don't get the Extended Warranty if you're not planning to get to another Honda dealer for service.) 2b. No loaner cars here: use the single courtesy shuttle which covers, it seems, quite a large area. Wait times may be spectacularly long.We bought at certified pre-owned Odyssey at the end of June. Seemed fine on the test drive but we discovered 2 issues on the drive home--a rattling noise that seemed to come from the right side of the dash, and a problem with the wiggle of the front passenger seat.Return visit 1: Took the van back the next day to seek if they could quickly ID the noise. They couldn't. Said we would have to leave it with them for the day. Couldn't do that at the time.Return visit 2: I dropped the van off in the morning and then called in the afternoon when I hadn't heard from them. Oh yeah: Problems identified. But they needed to order the parts. (This is a 3 year old van, being serviced at at a Honda dealer, but they needed parts from Ohio. OK.)Wife called to use the courtesy shuttle to go collect our not-fixed car. Driver said 30 minutes. I went to collect her after 70 minutes when he still hadn't showed. We left the car overnight and got it the next morning.Return visit 3: 6 days later: parts in. (They did call this time.) Dropped off the car in the morning and---silly me--tried to use the shuttle again. I'm a 13 minute drive from the dealership. Time from car dropoff to my destination (dropping 2 others on the way): 1 hour, 39 minutes.Just as I was disembarking from the shuttle, I got a call: it turns out they've ordered the wrong part for the seat. And now they have to order the correct one. Honda is willing to cover 80% of the repair cost. This is a car that we bought---Certified Pre-Owned--6 weeks ago. With a problem discovered on Day 1. And they think we're going to pay for it. I told them that we would do no such thing.I got a call back an hour later that Sales would cover the remainder. Right. They said the rattle was fixed though.I called the shuttle number shortly thereafter for a ride back. 3:08pm on a Friday. He said that he was on his way to Torrington. Torrington is 50+ miles from the dealership-- certainly more than an hour in Friday afternoon traffic. Upshot: the Brandfon shuttle service will not be available to anyone for the last two hours of the work week....unless you're inbound from somewhere near Torrington. I took the bus to collect our half-fixed van.Scratch that: the rattling noise that they fixed? NOT fixed. They may have fixed a problem I didn't know I was having (they replaced the tensioner). But the rattle that we were hearing is unchanged. Clearer than ever. I had my usual mechanic (who services out other car) take a quick look. He said that he was pretty sure that the front engine mount was the problem-- a common problem on Odysseys, he said.We'll take this up again when the seat part comes in. I need a few days between my Brandfon visits.7 weeks in. 0/2 issues resolved27 days later I still haven't gotten a call to let me know that the correct part is in. So I call them. Turns out it's on backorder. They have no idea when it may be in stock. (It's California we're waiting for this time.) Good thing I called. Back to waiting.10 weeks in. 0/2 issues resolvedI sent a copy of my yelp review to the GM. (He'd left a comment there asking me to get in touch--as if he couldn't get my phone number from his sales or service folks--but I did send him an email.) He replied that he was speaking with his people and would get back to me shortly. 11 days go by.The call comes at the 31 day mark. The part is in.Return visit 4: Quiet morning. I get the foreman this time. He's frustrated that they replaced a tensioner that (maybe) didn't need replacing, but he certainly hears the rattle, too. He tells me that when we buy Certified Pre-Owned, we should expect better than that. I mentioned that a "friend" had suggested that the front engine mount might the problem. He dismissed that suggestion out of hand--they were a problem on older Odysseys. Not our generation.I tell him that I'd like to pick the van up before 3pm so that I can get my kids off the bus at home (that gives them 6.5 hours with it), but that I could take the bus home and leave it overnight if that's what it takes to finally fix both things. (This is week 11, after all.) He says OK. They take it back right away and get to work.When I hear that the shuttle is still 35 minutes out, I take the bus again.I call around 12:45 (about 4 hours in). It takes about 10 minutes to get a human being to relay first the information that they are still working on it ("I can see legs sticking out of your vehicle") and then that a 3pm pickup will work.I take the bus back and arrive around 2:30. I tell them that I can wait a bit-- it seems that they are still working on it. They move my vehicle out of view a few minutes before 3. After a few more minutes, I go and ask: what's happening with my car? Is it done? Oh yeah: it's around the side, you can take it now (once we find the keys.....) Once the keys are in my hand, I am told that the seat repair has taken longer than expected. They didn't have time to diagnose the rattling sound. If I can bring it back and leave it for the day again.....I tell them that that would be my 5th visit to try and have the rattle correctly identified and fixed. He says sorry. They always say sorry.11 weeks in. 1/2 issues resolvedI update my review again and send it to the GM (who had said he'd get back to my 11 days earlier). I get a call within a few hours from his assistant who says that they are going to make this right. (The GM has been busy: they're acquiring another dealership, and he's been tied up with that. Aha.)One of the service managers calls to set up an appointment for later in the week. They'll cover the cost of a rental this time so that they can have the van for as long as they need to diagnose and fix the rattle.Return Visit 5: My arrival is anticipated by at least some of the service staff. The foreman comes out again, but his tact is different this time. "There is some sound in these. I'm going to try to minimize it, but it's not going to be silent.""Sure, it's Certified, but it is a used car."Woah, I say. The rattle that my car is making is not normal. (He had said so himself the previous week.) He repeats that he's going to minimize the sound and says that he will take me for a drive in some other vans to hear the sound of those if I'm still not satisfied. I tell him that I'll gladly do that if it comes to it. The rattle is not normal, and those other vans aren't going to have it. This lowering of expectations move is rather disconcerting, don't you think?I get my first update 32 hours later. The car is fixed. What was the problem, I ask? 'It was the front motor mount.'Summary: It took 12 weeks and 5 different return visits to get my Certified Pre-Owned minivan into the condition that it should have been in when it was sold to me.(I waited 5 weeks between visits 1 and 2, but the other 7 were the weeks that it actually took to get both problems corrected by the Brandfon service department.)Communication is poor (I had to call them on at least 3 separate occasions for a status update, including one time when I'd been waiting 4 weeks to hear from them), and competency in the service department did not impress (misdiagnosed rattle and made potentially unnecessary repair; ordered the wrong part; were not able to diagnose a problem in one 6.5 hour span). The shuttle service is a joke.I'm glad that the GM's assistant finally stepped in. And that they finally do seem to have resolved both issues. But it shouldn't have been even remotely this hard.Exercise caution: I'm not convinced that this isn't a place you'd be well advised to steer clear of if you're looking for a pre-owned Honda.

We had a flat tire on our 2014 Accord. I called and was invited to come in without needing an appointment. I arrived about 6:00 on Monday (closing time = 7:00), and Randy Newton (as always) was quick and courteous getting me started. The service technicians found the non-fixable problems with the damaged tire and replaced it with a new, balanced tire quickly, and at a reasonable price. I was out the door before 7:00.

Eddie Mealey was very knowledgeable of the different features of the Honda Accord EX-L that I was interested at. He was very detailed in his demo and explanation. Most of all, I did not feel any sales pressure at all. The processing of delivery of the car was finished on time.

Brandfon Honda gets my highest approval in terms of courtesy, speed, promptness, no pressure/gimmicks in selling add-on services (compared to other Honda services). This no-pressure is the main reason I travel all the way from Fairfield County for service every single time for my two Hondas. Not to mention they gave me the best price while buying them.

No complaints other than it would have been nice if someone TOLD me my service was done and I didn't have to come check on it myself only to find out it had been done, for hire long I don't know. Not to mention I had my 21 month old with me who was ready to leave 5 minutes after we arrived. That didn't make things easier. Overall good service, but those few things would make a huge difference!

I really appreciated his help.The waiting room is great, especially helpful is the wifi. I always bring work to do, so I appreciate the wifi and the desk area. I think you could make this place a little nicer. I mean, average wait time is probably 1 1/2 hours. I went in for an oil change and I was there that long! Creating an estheticily pleasing area helps keep people calm. In other words, create a space where people don't mind waiting. The play area is a good idea.

I went for an oil change on my 2008 Accord, was greeted by lovely Lucy Evans Vehicle Exchange Coordinator, she asked if I had thought about trading in and purchasing a new Honda, I hadn't thought about it as I was still in love with my 08 but, decided to take the time that I intended to wait to talk to a sales rep Manny Costas, no pressure just pure professionalism, once I was behind the wheel of the 2016 Accord, I was sold, with all the updates since 2008 it was a no brainer, since I had purchase my 08 at Brandfon, I knew I was turning it over to a caring dealer that would give her a good home. All of the staff at Brandfon from service, to sales were a pleasure to deal with, this dealership is like a well oiled machine all parts working together, all in all it was a great experience and I would recommend Brandfon in the future as I have in the past. I would have given a lower rating if possible. I was in search of a new vehicle after my car had been totaled in a wreck. I went to Brandfon Honda initially to view a Subaru Forester, but also test drove a CR-V. The one bright spot was the sales associate, Chris Augur - he was pleasant and knowledgeable and I hope he finds a new place to work for his sake. I reached an agreement on the CR-V on a Monday, having been pre-approved by my bank at 2.69% financing. I was asked to allow Brandfon to run my credit to see if I could get a lower rate. After a few phone calls, I was offered 3.9% through the dealer on Wednesday evening - obviously, I told them that I was not interested and asked them to email me a copy of the purchase order so that I could go to my bank the next day (Thursday), I was assured they would send it out immediately. Thursday morning, I still had not received the purchase order, so I called and left a voicemail for a manager, Sam, giving him my email address. Several hours later, I received a voicemail message from another manager, Chris, which simply said, "I've got your financing paperwork and you're all set." I called back, spoke to him, and told him that I was not using their financing and to email me the purchase order as promised. He stated then, for the first time, that he could not email it, so I told him I was driving to the bank and would call back with a fax number. I got to the bank at 12pm and called Brandfon Honda back at 12:25 (yes, I am irritated enough that I checked my phone records to make sure). I spoke to the other manager, Chris, and gave him the fax number. After an hour and a half, no fax had arrived. I asked the banker with whom I was working to call for me. She spoke to Sam and told me that he had said to her that I never gave them the fax number - a blatant lie. Ten minutes later, a faxed purchase order arrived - on that purchase order, the price was $50 higher than that I had agreed to, and the $229 charge for VIN etching that I had specifically waived was included, such that the price was a full $279 higher, with increased taxes as a result, than I had agreed to. Further, the purchase order was unsigned. I called back and was told neither manager was available, so I left a voicemail for Sam indicating the problems. He called back and I expressed how irritated I was. I understand that they won't get their back end kickback because I'm not using Honda Financing, but there's no excuse for this behavior. I finally got the loan set up after 3 hours at the bank (through no fault of the bank's, simply the dishonest behavior on the part of Brandfon Honda), and intended to pick up the vehicle the next day. The next day, I went to pick up the vehicle. After speaking with the sales associate, who again remains the only bright spot of this process, Chris from financing met with me and had me sign paperwork. Once again, the final contract included the $50 increased fee and the $229 VIN etching that had been waived. Mysteriously, the correct purchase order was not in his file. Luckily, I contacted the bank and they were going to email me and fax the dealer the correct purchase order that had been faxed to the bank when I applied for the loan. At that point, Chris disappeared for a moment and came back and said that they were able to find the correct purchase order in their "system." He then returned with a corrected final agreement which I signed. He stated that he understood we had a "misunderstanding" and I stated that we were good for the sole purpose of getting out of there with my new car as quickly as possible.I firmly believe that the above conduct was intentional and an effort to increase an agreed upon price in the hopes that I would sign without noticing the change. I will never be returning to Brandfon Honda, and you should all steer well clear of this deceptive dealership.

I was treated very well and sold a pretty decent car. However there were flaws with the car that I found the very day I drove it off, biggest one being a weak battery. It was replaced the next day but it would have been nice to do a battery inspection on my car before it died on me when I drove it home.

Was at this dealership for an hour and a half yesterday morning, test drove used CRV on their lot, loved the car. Then spent time negotiating price, came to an agreement, EVEN WROTE A CHECK FOR DEPOSIT!! Salesman disappears for 15 min. then returns to tell us a deposit had already been placed on the car BUT the other buyer's financing may not go through...so he would call us back in an hour or so after his manager returned and he had discussed the situation with him. We take our check and leave. After waiting 3+ HOURS I finally CALL HIM BACK and he says still not sure if car is available but will call back before the end of the day. He finally calls us back at 8:30 at night and says the car has unfortunately been sold. SO apparently this dealership's salesmen have no idea if a car on the lot is available for sale or not, and have no respect for a customer's time. I took a day off of work for this, could have been looking at other vehicles, will NEVER go back here - they need to get a clue.

Pleasant, quick reception and the work was done promptly and properly. I had also mentioned a problem with bluetooth telephone use - everyone complained about a buzzing noise when I called them using the bluetooth connection. I had gone on the internet and seen comments about this problem but that Honda had not actually admitted to the problem. The only solution any posters had was replacing the bluetooth speaker. My service rep advised that Honda had indeed now recognized the problem; the corrective actions indeed was r&r of the speaker; and it was a warranty repair. No hassles. Just had that done and made 2 calls via bluetooth and both people said voice sound is now great!

After searching the Capital District in Upstate New York, we were referred to Brandfon Honda and decided to take a drive to CT. Not expecting to be successful, it couldn't have been further from the truth. We met with Joel DeMarco, told him what we were looking for and said we did not want to spend a lot of time since it was a 3 hour drive, we wanted the bottom line and we got it in a very short period of time. After returning home and shopping again, no one in Upstate New York could match the price. We wanted a certain color which they did not have, but were willing to shop around for us to get the color. They found it and a week later, we drove back down in a very short period of time picked up the car and drove home. The whole process involving 2 trips was no more than an hour and a half total. Couldn't have been happier. Filled up 2 bags of popcorn for the ride home. Thanks Joel and Brandfon Honda for such a easy car buying experience. We would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone.

It had about 4200 miles on it, but they were selling it as new, and we asked for those miles to be added to the warranty. Yesterday I bought a certified used 2012 Honda Civic at Brandfon Honda. I was picked up from my home by the sales agent Matt DeMarco and was taken to my mechanic who did a brief supplementary check on the car. I was able to give the car a fairly extensive test drive to my mechanic and then to the dealership. I found Mr. DeMarco informed, polite and helpful, and the dealer was able to arrange the registration, insurance and all other paperwork, final detailing of the car, installation of my old plates, etc. Mr. De Marco spent about 5.5 hours with me from initial pickup to finalization of purchase. I could ask no more, and also recommend Honda's certification process.

I was actually really impressed with their customer service and fair prices. Matt DeMarco was very helpful. He went above and beyond to explain all of the features of a CRV I bought. The prices were excellent! After searching for a car for over a week, it was clear that brand fun Honda had the best price. When I went there the fees were also very reasonable. I won't mention some of the other dealerships I dealt with, but I will say this was a breath of fresh air. Thank you!

I was traveling to visit my parents in Branford and a engine light went on and the person in the service department was able to get me in at 2:00pm on a Saturday when Brandfon closed at 4:00. All the work was completed on time along with a car wash. Fantastic service from a very friendly and knowledgeable service employee.
