Dispel myth of used car dealer

I have never had what I would call a quality interaction with a car salesman, so I truly went in with an attitude. My son saw a Bommarito car on the internet and I agreed to only look at it. Turns out it was a good price and within our price range. Joe Grayson came out and blew my socks off. He was friendly and allowed my son to fall in love with the car that called him (not the car we originally went to see). Joe set the bar for what I would love all car dealers to aspire to. Good job Joe. We'll be back to Bommarito for our next purchase. 5 star service.

Disabled Adventures in car Shopping

Having disabilities is rough, When you are new to getting benefits sometimes their are hoops to jump through. I started out looking at vehicles through Bommarito's website. They have great selection. Must be quick to go see them in person though they sell them like hot cakes with the Great service. I looked at a Honda Accord first had my heart set on it but had no money down, (it sold before I got my money) Joe and the Guys stepped up to the plate though and found me something more utilitarian to my Disability needs than the accord at the same price.Thanks Guy'sJames Engel

TDI Recall

I bought a brand new TDI Passat from these guys in 2015 and also bought a warranty plan that cost me around $3500. My car was effected by the TDI recall, i am therefore trying to get a full refund on my part because i never got to use it. They keep going back and fourth with their costumers and they never actually solve the problem. I will be calling the local news and reporting a story on this matter, it is not right to sell a product at your dealership and not claim responsibility, this is fraudulent. I am sick of being played with.

There is so much to say about Joe Grayson and John Sanchez. I have never been treated so royally before. The phrase, "Going above and beyond the call of duty," doesn't do this these two justice! We've had four great VWs, including two from Bommarito: a 2013 Sportwagen, a wonderful car, and a 2016 CC that's the best buy in driving machines. We can't imagine buying elsewhere. They are among VW's 20 best international dealerships (for excellent reasons) and employ Missouri's only two top-rated service techs. Every employee we've dealt with has been gold-standard. Bommaritto is more than worth extra miles of driving (we have two closer dealers). Our salesman Joe Grayson made every detail of buying and delivery a pleasure and was infinitely patient in explaining the CC's fantastic array of intuitive bells and whistles, linking IPhones and making other settings. Impressive. Managers George Bussey, an ol' Teddy bear, and Marc Gaby are delightful and finance's John Sanchez ... these people are rarities in any business. Same for service personnel. Be careful!

Bought a 3 year old Nissan from them. Same old back and forth sales tactics had to check with manager 4 times to finally get price. Have not had car 30 days and air conditioner went out . Called them and they said not their problem. Car was also not cleaned up very well found toys under seats etc then they left mats in trunk which didn't match and stained Be careful when buying a used car from these people . They just want a huge volume is used car sales and don't care about the customer

We stop by this dealer to just see want they had, and met Brandon the best sales person. He made it feel like a friend showing a car I like rather then a sale person out to make a deal. We purchase an SUV from them and will be doing business with them again. We are sending anyone we know looking for a vehicle to go see Brandon.

It all started when I went looking for a used Touareg. Bommarito VW had what I was looking for, almost.It was a 2014 at a good price. Joe arranged for my test drive and all went well. This car however, was not certified. After a couple rounds of negotiations Joe was able to get the car Auto World certified. There were a couple of spots in the headliner and Joe had the excellent staff of Bommarito expertly clean and repair perfectly.I am well satisfied and recommend Joe and Bommarito whole heartedly.

Proud Owners of a new Golf Wagen

My husband and I have purchased quite a few vehicles. We have quickly learned that you can purchase a car from any dealer, but the sales/purchase experience can be painful. We purchased a vehicle from Bommarito Honda a few years back, Aaron Harrington was our salesman then. He made an impression from the start, by far the best sales/purchase experience that we had had in all our years of car buying. When we started looking for a VW we reached out to Bommarito again, hoping to have that same experience. Aaron promptly got us in touch with the salesmen at VW and they got the ball rolling with finding us a vehicle. Aaron had set the bar pretty high on our last experience, but Joe Grayson, our sales man for this purchase, and Marc Gabby went above and beyond, making this past purchase the best that we have ever had! We would and will recommend their dealership to everyone! We've been to a lot of them, and started the purchase process from at least 4 other dealerships. Mike White is great!

Unfortunately we couldn't find a car that fit what we were looking for but Mike White, the Internet sales manager at Bommarito VW in Hazelwood made our search much less stressful. He was patient and didn't hound us as we broswed the lot. He was honest and up-front and also tried to find us a car that fit what we needed. Like I said thought, they didn't have what we needed. I wish I could've bought through him but next time, I'll be giving him a call.

Bought a used car on my lunch break!

I was expecting a long and frustrating process to buying a used car. The opposite was true! "Big Dave" Smith and John Sanchez worked quickly and had me on the road with a quality used car during my extended lunch break.

Former Car Salesman Very Impressed

I previously worked at a local competitor and usually by my Volkswagens from them However, Bommarito had the exact car that I wanted, so I called the number on their website and was greeted by a very polite Joe Grayson. Joe confirmed that the car was in stock and I requested an appointment the following day at 5pm, an hour before the dealership was scheduled to close. When I arrived, Joe had the car sitting right out front, clean, and ready for a test drive.After the drive, we went inside to talk numbers, and Joe went immediately to the internet sales price, which included all available rebates, without me having to request or identify any of them. The only negotiation necessary was for my trade-in, and we arrived at a fair offer after several negotiations, which Joe was very willing to advocate on my behalf. We got an excellent Sportwagen at an unbelievable price. At no point during the negotiation did I feel pressure to buy the car, even though Joe, his manager, Al Tabrizi, and the finance officer, John Sanchez, were all over an hour late getting off work. John and Joe stayed 2 hours late to wrap up the paperwork, and John articulated the financial products very clearly, was zero-pressure, and was honest and transparent in every aspect. This was by far the most open and easy car transaction I have ever dealt with, and I know exactly where I'm going for my next VW purchase.

I hate annoying seals people who push and don't even listen especially if you have ascent. This was the best car buying experience we ever had . Our Seals Consultants Joe Grayson was amazing !!! Hi did give my husband and me plenty of time to look the car. We test drive the car without supervision !!! Hi was very helpful and knowledgeable. Joe spent a lot of time patiently show me what he means till I understand and I am really appreciative of the time and efforts he spent to help me. My husband and I had been contemplating buying a new car for our daughter. We had been to one other dealer and had a bad experience. We then decided to take our time and begin to look at other places and weigh our options. The day we went to Bommarito we had no intention of buying a car we just wanted to check out the Jettas and ask a few questions They had many to choose from and we ended up going in and Joe greeted us at the door. 1st car buying experience in 20 years

I haven't bought any car from a dealership in over 20 years. I was hesitant, but my wife has always raved about her experience with Bommarito's Nissan dealership. We found a small car online and took it for a test drive. It was nice for an older used car, but just didn't have that connection with me. Our salesman found many other comparable cars for us dueing the test drive and we decided to try another.This turned out to be the car I was foing to purchase. We waited for almost 3 hours before we needed to leave for the night and didn't get to sign the paperwork. Even with the wait, this is where our salesman shined. Joe Grayson knew that I had no means of transportation during the day, so he offered to come to my house and bring me back the next day. He has remained dedicated to creating a relationship with his buyer and displayed a level of dedication I never expected. He is the reason this experience has been so positive and I consider myself lucky to have a salesman who cares for and respects his customer.Bravo Joe!

Terriffic Experience

I was searching online looking for a new car for my Mom (who is disabled and retired). We looked at several different models and worked with several different reps from different dealerships. Mom needed several options due to her disability and we needed to find the right price on the best possible car for her. We chose a Golf SE but were concerned that she couldn't afford it. After working with several other VW dealerships online we found Alex Woulff at Bommarito. He was able to get the car in the color that she wanted at the trim level she needed at the price she needed. Alex was very easy to work with and highly efficient. We worked with Scott in F&I and he was also very good (even during a total power loss). Everyone there went out of their way to make us comfortable and the whole experience was terrific!

Great experience at Bommarito VW

I called the dealership to see if I could get some offers on a Jetta or a Passat that I was interested in leasing. Joe Garyson was the sales representative who picked up the phone and I have to say that he bent over backwards to help me get the best deal on a car. He was very professional and there was no pressure sales tactics during our interactions. The car that I desired was not in stock at the dealership so Joe and his manager searched hundreds of miles to find a vehicle and color of my choice (and brought it back to St. Louis!). Once the vehicle was located, everything else was a breeze. They worked efficiently and professionally. I was in town for the weekend and needed to buy a car for my daughter who is a student there. I found a suitable car at Bommarito VW through Edmunds website. The car was priced slightly above my budget. I called a spoke to George Bussey, and told him my budget on that car. He spoke with his manager and called me back quickly. When I showed up to look at the car, he had it brought around, and let my daughter and I take it for a test drive. We liked what we saw. There was a small issue with the car, which I asked them to remedy (TPMS indication), and they fixed it while we waited to do the paperwork. They found us financing at an attractive rate, which will help my daughter to establish a credit rating. I have purchased quite a few cars, and my experience with George and the team at Bommarito VW was among the most pleasant experiences I have had. They had a great vehicle, and I bought it at what I consider a fair price. There was no pressure, and no games.

Joe Grayson is my dealer, and he is extremely helpful in answering all of my questions regarding the car and the various coverage. He also try to make everything more convenient for me, including lending me his office and computer to purchase insurance, and try to help to allow me to use debit card to buy the car. He even gave me some gifts from the store, including two key chains and two vehicle cup holders. I really recommend him to anyone who would like to purchase a Volkwagen car. Excellent buying experience

My wife and I were looking at new Golf Sportwagens during non business hours when we saw the new Golf R and fell in love with it. We returned the next day and met Joe Grayson who arranged for us to test drive the car. Joe is very professional and does not use any pressure tactics to try and close the sale. When a problem arose, Bommarito rose higher

I needed a used vehicle as someone totaled mine. I was torn between the SUV they had and one at Suntrup. It took a long time to decide, since they were able to go lower than Suntrup, I went with Bommarito. I got my car Friday night but on Tuesday it wouldn't start for me to get to work. I was so upset. I called the dealership and they sent the used car service manager out to rescue me and look over the car. They even got me a rental so I could get to work for the rest of my shift. They took care of the problem, were very courteous, and even topped off the tank of gas. It's how a business handles a problem that really shows you what they are made of. I will be back when my husband needs a new vehicle!

First Car experience!!

I originally owned a 16 year old Oldsmobile Bravada, which was a reliable car but it had poor gas mileage. I have a 40 mile trip to work and back!! So, this summer my goal was to find a high mileage but efficient car that would save me from many trips to the pump!! I was considering a Ford Fusion, Mazda 6, and VW Passat. Chuck Thompson, with his honestly and knowledge of the VW Passat, made my decision very easy. The rear of the car is huge and the trunk is great for carry my sports accessories.

I have had a company car for 16 years and decided I was tired of the corporate world. I was in sales and believe me...I can be hard to please and demanding sometimes. Quick, friendly, comfortable experience

This was the first time my husband and I bought a car and we were very nervous, to say the least. Big Dave greeted us when he realized no one had approached us yet. He was very friendly and laid back. He gave us the keys to a car and let us take it out for a drive, alone. When we decided this was it, we had to go back home to pick up our trade-in and return later that afternoon. Big Dave was at another dealership at the time, so we were handed off to George Bussey. George was equally as friendly and Dave had already communicated our budget and terms with him. It was a quick and painless process and before we knew it, we were in Kenneth's office talking about payment plans. Kenneth was very helpful and explained everything that we had questions about. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by Paul Fix with whom I spoke with on the phone about my car. He greeted me with the most kindful, professional & observant behavior I've ever seen as a service professional in the automotive service industry. I was truly amazed at how he listen to my every word & every problem that I had with my vehicle. Just to summarize part of it - my transmission was bad, I had bad bushings, CV boot, the battery was bad, my poor car needed a lot of work! The warranty I have only covered a used transmission however, Mark Reader, the service manager contacted Volkwagon and upgraded to a brand-new transmission! The service manager went above and beyond the call of duty to replace so many things including a brand new transmission, battery, cv boot and more on my 2008 Passat! My car now drives, truly, like a brand-new car again! The service was fast, friendly, honest, and priced fairly. Most important, my car was fixed right the first time.I would highly recommend the Bommarito Volkswagen in Hazelwood, Missouri for your repairs. Started off on a Monday with Kevin Hall and capturing a list of a few "What my wife is looking for" options. Kevin planned for us to meet with himself and Marc Gaby Wednesday afternoon. Great First Time Experience

This was the first car I have ever purchased before and I was quite nervous as a car sale is an intimidating experience that most people will tell you isn't very pleasant. Obviously those people have not bought a car at Bommorito VW because it was a very pleasant experience. Jay Burroughs was very helpful and honest. I purchased a certified pre-owned and after I drove it off the lot later in the day realized the AC wasn't working. Jay had my car back in the shop and the AC working within a few days and I was not charged. He was insistent that my car be perfect and as close to new as possible and definitely achieved that. Rrefreshingly honest, friendly, and non-deceptive purchse.

Marc Gaby is the person I dealt with on the purchase of a Classic Beetle. By the end of negotiaton and sale I believe Marc is the kind of person I would welcome as a friend, co-worker, or neighbor. One thing he certainly has done is make me aware that I brought my business and trade-in to a car dealer of high repute who actually practices win-win negotiation. While he made no pretense of our mutually shared goal to negotiate a contract to acquire a new car, his genuine manner and friendly candid conversation about the beetle, the Bommarito company and the automobile business was interesting and created a learning moment in what is traditionally a confrontational sales vs customer interaction. I believe I offered a reasonable and fair offer for my trade in and he likewise recognized it as reasonable and mutually beneficial. There was none of the usual back and forth Hoo Hah I endure at other less than forthright dealerships. Additionally, the web page I visited to review the inventory was what got me to drive 50 miles from Illinois to Bommarito. The Bommarito webpage had a review of how to read automobile advertisements and understand how they can be misleading. Bommarito does not list unattainable rebates and reductions from the MSRP to falsely give the impression of a huge discount when in reality it would be a rare individual who graduated, seperated from the military and competed drivers ed. all in the same span of 12 months thus leading an uninformed consumer to think they were in for a big discount when in reality it is one they could never qualify to recieve. I am glad I met Marc Gaby and glad I went to Bommarito.

Quick and Friendly

Jay was very frinedly and knowledgable about the Volkswagen line. He has helped me and a few members of my family make the right slections for each of us, instead of just putting us in the first Jetta he could find. Problem Child

It seems that nothing in my life is ever simple..... Why should buying a car be any different. I purchased a used VW from Bommarito and it started having some problems soon after. I needed a new car ASAP for my daughter in college and turned to the Edmunds website to simplify my state of confusion. After a few minutes searching I decided on a 2015 Volkswagen Passat Wolfsburg Edition and requested a quote from Bommarito Volkswagen. ( I tried to get a quote where I live in Springfield, Illinois but, apparently they we not too interested in fulfilling my needs at this time. Had the most pleasant experience purchasing my second Volkswagen. My 1972 Volkswagen Bug was my first car and perhaps this will be my last. The salesman, Chuck Thomson was extremely gracious and patient with me. Told me he would even pay my cab fare home that first evening. Gabe, in Finanace, was extremely helpful as well. Purchase of New VW Golf 2015

Recently purchased a VW Golf 2015 from this dealership. I was happy with the price we settled on. No one else in town was willing to give me this price on a new Golf. The people are friendly. I started this purchase by opening a conversation with their internet sales manager, Jay. Excellent service. I was in and out fast. Highly recommended by someone who does not like buying cars in general.

Recently being separated from my husband, life has been pretty crazy. During a terrible rain storm I had slid on top of a median and totally damaged my transmission in my Jetta. I called Bommarito and talked with Paul Fix and from the very moment I spoke to him; he provided assurance, excellent customer service, followed up with me consistently on where things stood with my repair. The bottom line is Paul went above and beyond what I could have ever expected from anyone, at any dealership to make sure I had peace of mind during this process. Excellent Service Department/ Quality Work

I've been bringing my 2006 GLI to Bommarito Hazelwood for the past couple years. I am highly satisfied with the service and the service department team.. The quality of the work has been excellent and the price has been reasonable. Plus knowing the work is being done by qualified VW tech is reassuring. The team is very honest, there was a crack in my radiator fan and the team was not sure if they caused it or not, but the replaced it free of charge. Not many shops would do that. They also work with you with helping make the repair cost reasonable and helping where they can. Over the years I have moved to many states and had work done by other VW dealers, with not much luck. This is the first dealership that I can actually say I trust. Plus they always offer a loaner car. I will always bring my VW's to Bommarito Hazelwood. Any new purchases will be made there as well. They're the best in the St. Louis area.

I bought my very first car (Jetta) from Bommarito VW this past week and my sales person was Jay Burroughs. This experience was wonderful because Jay went above and beyond to make sure I received the right car for the right price. Extremely Helpful

I was fortunate enough to work with George Bussey, and although I didn't end up purchasing a vehicle from Bommarito, I was so impressed by his service that I wanted to give a postive review. I initially inquired about test driving a Passat, and George very promptly returned my email and setup a time for me to come by. As soon as I got to the dealership, George met me and tossed me the keys to the car to test drive - no questions asked, no forms, no ride along. He simply encouraged me to drive it hard and see what I thought. I ended up test driving multiple Passats that day, which ultimatley led to a purchase at another dealer weeks later. Unfortunately, Bommarito didn't happen to have the exact model/color/miles/etc. I was looking for at the time, or I would have been pleased to purchase from them.After driving, I sat down with George and he was able to give me more information on Volkswagen, while never once pushing me for the sale. This stands in stark contrast to what I've experienced from other dealers, whose only end goal is the sale.If you're in the market for a Volkswagen, I would highly recommend working with George. We have purchased five VW cars from this dealership. Chuck has been our sales rep for years and he is a genuine, knowledgeable professional. We have also purchased BMWs from Plaza Motors and although Plaza is the "luxury" brand and still a nice place, VW Hazelwood trumps it in comfort of the waiting area and customer service. Even taking our cars in for service at Haz VW is a pleasure. I can be high maintenance when it comes to car experiences. And like my vacations, I want the Ritz Carlton of dealers. This is it.

As a Customer Service Manager I can say these guys know what they are doing. I never felt any pressure once and they are really relaxed and let you lead. They ask what you like and don't like and show you your options and then help you get the right price. After being used to all the hassle you get at other dealers at first I had a feeling like me as a person or my sale was not important because they don't hound you but then quickly realized this is how it should be and you should not be hassled but rather helped and then left alone to decide. I received a more than fair price on my trade in and thanks to Jay I am now driving a 2015 VW Golf GTI and I love it.
