This was my first time buying a car. Obviously it was a pretty scary experience, but the great employees that I worked with made me feel comfortable. They walked me through the experience and didn't scam me. I was able to get a car well within my budget and a car that I absolutely love. I would recommend my salesman Kyle Denny to anyone. He was very helpful.

I wasn't sure if I wanted a new car when I approached Kyle. I've been leery of a new payment and avoid pushy salesmen like the plague. Kyle patiently answered all my questions and wasn't pushy at all. He was a very easygoing person who knows his information. I look forward to working with him again when I'm ready for my next car.

The entire visit was perfect. We didn't have to wait on a sales person, we weren't shown anything we didn't want, we found the perfect car right away, and took it for a test drive. We were given a tutorial on how things work and all the bells and whistles. The finance part was smooth and painless and they didn't try to make us take something that was more than what we asked for. We went to eat dinner while the paperwork was completed and the car was detailed and left in the new car - very satisfied.

I ended up driving away with my new car that night.

I contacted this car dealership both online and by phone. The sales reps have all been nice and not pushy, BUT the price of the car I was looking at was thousands over book and they seem unwilling to negotiate price. I know it's a nice car with low miles,,, but it is almost 3 years old, and that makes a difference. Again,, nice sales people,, just need to be aware of the real value of a used car first. P.S. as of my review date , the car (CRZ) is still on the lot if anyone else wants it.

If you're looking for a used car or a brand new Honda, and we're talking about the sales department, then we'd give a high-five. But with the service department, now that's a different story. With the first car that we bought here, we met Derek Fisher who was endorsed by a common friend of ours. He was very accommodating, calm, friendly and great to deal with. He worked with what we wanted, and of course, got what we wanted. He also found us good deals. With the second vehicle that we purchased, we contacted him again, and this time, Kyle Denny helped him, or rather, us with the car that we were looking for. In less than a month, they found us the perfect car. Kyle was also great to work with. Very calm and friendly too. All our questions were answered, and it's not at all hard to communicate with them. We like how they don't rush you, or push you to buy the car you're looking at right at that moment. They also don't keep on bugging you to buy from them. Instead, they work with you to find you the perfect car that suits you. And once again, we got a good deal for the car. Even working with accounting, we just forgot her name, was also very patient with us, with calculating and recalculating and all the paperwork we went through. We can say it was hassle free buying a vehicle with them. We always end up happy with our purchase. We would definitely recommend them to everyone that we know. In fact, we just did! more power to them, and good luck to you readers! May you find the car that you're looking for. And don't forget to ask for Derek or Kyle!

I had been in the market for a used car for many months. As many of you know, the finding/buying process of a used car can be a huge headache. I just never knew if the used car I was interested in was actually "Good" car. When I visited the Bob Rohrman Honda Certified Used car building there were two gentlemen in particular that really helped me out. Josh Thompson and Luke Rohrman. I wasn't really educated in what a "certified" car was until Luke helped clarify the information for me. Josh explained how buying a used car with a warranty really helps with peace of mind when purchasing used cars and he was absolutely right. They treated me extremely well and were super professional through the entire process. I would definitely recommend these guys!

Buying Process: 5.0

I just bought a used car from Rohrman and the main reason I am giving my experience 5 stars is my salesman, Kyle Denny. He was amazing from the moment I met him. He was relaxed, friendly, and never pressured me into looking at cars out of my price range. When I first worked with Kyle, he stayed past his scheduled work hours to help me look at cars because it fit my schedule best. After taking a lot of his time over the course of several days, I found a car that better suited my needsat a dealership in Indianapolis. When I told him, he was kind and happy I found something that worked. He never made me feel like I was an inconvenience or like I "wasted his time." Later, I went back to see him about a car for my daughter, and he found me a great car at a great price. He even came in twice on two days he had off so I could finish up the deal and get the car to my daughter. I HIGHLY recommend asking to see Kyle if you choose to visit any of Rohrman's dealerships. Also, I enjoyed working with Lisa Mauer in the finance department. She is very friendly and made the process simple. I have to admit that I am not the biggest Rohrman fan in general, but because of Kyle and Lisa, I plan to return when I am ready to search for cars again. This is Karla Fultz..not Brian. :) Kenlyn Cadwallader Kenlyn Cadwallader

We have owned Honda vehicles since Feb 1978. I want to trade in my 2009 Pilot for a new 2016 and I am prepared to buy now. Could never get a price from the manager, he was too busy with other clients. Kevin was very nice and we got to do a test drive with him. It is unfortunately that employees have no power to start talking about a price with options and everything has to go through one individual. We have purchased vehicles in 3 other states and this was the worst experience of a Honda or Accura dealership.

I purchased an Odyssey from Bob Rohrman and was trying to install a new set of roof-top cross bars. In order to install the cross bars, i have to remove the back covers of the roof rails, which does not seem to be an easy task for me. Heard from other people that Honda dealers can help the installation free of charge so i went to Bob Rohrman and asked if they can kindly help. However the custom service was poor and after long waiting the front dest gentleman told me that i will have to make an appointment (the earliest appointment is a week later), and plus $100/hour labor charge. Initially he tells me that some cutting work will be involved and they know what to do because their technicians install many cross bars every day (which sounds incredible given that i live in a small town). When i insisted that there will be no cutting necessary and all i need is their help to remove the side rail cover (and i will do the rest installation myself), he then said that they will still charge at least $30 for the work and an appointment. What disappointing experience!

We went to look at new honda civics this week, with no intent to buy. We had just started the process of looking for a new car. However upon meeting Kyle Denny, our plan changed. Kyle has a great, no-pressure attitude that will make you comfortable when looking for a vehicle. Kyle was knowledgable and professional and could answer all of our questions. We had such a great experience with him we ended up purchasing a vehicle that same day. Having a dealer who is no pressure, knowledgable, and has a great easy going attitude made all the difference for us. I would recommend seeking out Kyle for your next car purchase!

We visited Bob Rohrman this week with the intent to look at some 2015 civics. We did not intend on making a purchase as this was our first time and place looking. Upon arriving, we met dealer Kyle Denny who not only was extremely personable, but also very knowledgable and professional. Kyle immediately made us feel comfortable with his no-pressure attitude and fun personality. We ended up test driving a car and not only did we love the product, but we enjoyed our experience with Kyle so much we decided to talk numbers. We ended up leaving the lot with a new car on a day when we only expected to look....sometimes working with the right person can make the difference between making a decision and purchase quickly or continuing to look around. I would recommend Kyle to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. He was vey easy going and gave us zero pressure, but also had all the answers to our questions. We had a great experience buying our new car with him!

I've gone to Rohrman's 3 or 4 different times over the last 30 years with the intention of buying a car. The first time, I was told I couldn't afford the Civic Si I had picked out and nobody would ever finance me (I was young in my first job). Went to another dealership and bought the same priced car with no problem. Other times, they wouldn't budge on sticker price plus all their fluff add-ons, plus offered me much below wholesale on my trade-in. The last time was the last straw. I had talked to the salesman and said I wanted to drive a Camry, a Sonata, and a Honda Accord. He said he'd have them ready when I got there (I was coming from 20 miles away). When I got there, he had brought out a used Camry that had been wrecked. When we went down to the Honda showroom, it took him a half hour to find an Accord. Never even got to the Sonata. We really liked the Accord and started talking price. Was told then about all the add-ons beyond sticker and a ridiculous document fee I had to pay for. I walked out and bought from a different dealership. That was my last Rohrman experience. Don't waste your time with this crooked dealership. I've bought another Honda since at Penske in Indianapolis.

I called two days ahead to schedule a recall service for my CRV, which I bought at BobR at Lafayette. When I got in, the lady greeted me didn't know anything about the recall service and asked me to wait for other people. I waited in the waiting area for around 10 minutes and all other workers there were chatting, organizing papers, or walking around, pretended not hearing anything or seeing me. I asked :"how long will it take for some one to answer my question?" All the customer service people wore poker face and some lady started to check her computer and said my name was not put in the appointment. This was the second time that I experienced. The first time was a recall service for a door part. And those were the only two time that I came to Bob Rohronm Honda service and they were the worst. Except for the recall service that I cannot do in any other places, I choose never go back to them. And my wife and I very regretted buying Honda.

My husband and I called the dealership ahead of time inquiring about a specific vehicle we had found on he internet. We wanted to know if it was in "good" condition and if it was still available. they said they did have it in stock and that all their cars were in "good" condition. We got there and this car was a MESS, to say the least. They basically told us "you get what you pay for". We are a young couple with three kids, going to college and yeah the $8,000 car would have fit our budget. We even told them we were traveling a little over an hour to come purchase this car. They then had us test drive cars that were far out of our price range. Then a year later I decide I will give them another try...MISTAKE. I messaged them to find out if they could get a van that I wanted located in Aurora, IL at the Honda Dealership there. They told me yes and that they would talk about it and get back to me on specifics. Well they finally got back to me and they said that they would not be able to because that dealership was not a "Honda" dealership...it was just a dealership that carried Honda. So I went to Carmack Car Capitol and they are also a Honda dealership and they told me that they COULD get the car in for me. I got back with Bob Rohrman and they were very snotty and said well that is good, good luck. They didn't even apologize for not even trying to be of help or anything. And with the first visit about the car that was not even driveable, they told me they were sorry we had a bad experience and didn't even try to make it up to us. They could care less about their customers. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here...they do NOT care about you!!

The salesman gave me some useful information but never followed up. I saw the truck come up back for sale about a month later and inquired again with no callback after 3 days. I then called the dealer and got another salesperson who said the truck needed some minor work and he still has not called me back after he said he would. That has been another 3 days. I bought a Honda Odyssey a week ago today, I made several attempts to check on the service record and was told it was a Privacy Act issue ,,, and they would not even answer if the oil had been changed. I bought a Honda from a Honda Dealer and would "expect" they would have a check list of some kind that they would show me or give a copy. We discovered some major damage on a back bumper that they apparently didn't know about and someone had broken in to the glove box. I asked if they could at 'least' have a body person look at it ,,, and they did not. Like I said, I don't even know if they checked the brakes or changed the oil. Not happy and def would NOT Recommend this place. (A timing belt is a "big" issue and I would like to know if it has been properly ,,, changed.)

This is one of the worst sales experiences I've had in recent memory. My son was buying his first "real" car and we were treated like dirt by the finance guy. As a family, this was our 5th Honda purchase in 7 years. 17.9% financing - I Don't Think So. He wouldn't work with us on financing - he pretty much said take it or leave it. Well, we almost left it and I'm not quite sure why we didn't. Also, the car was not detailed. When the hood was opened there were leaves everywhere and the engine was dirty. Yea, I know this was a used car, but it still should be clean!!I could go on and on here about the lack of service with this dealership, but I would NOT recommend them to anybody.

The car was advertised as having 21k miles, the Carfax showed that at the last count, it had 22k miles, but when I went to pick it up a week after it was put on sale, it had 26k miles. Their explanation was that they were using it as a shuttle service car for their customers even after they had put it on the market. I think that is really dishonest. Also, for a Preowned certified car which I paid $15k, you would expect them to have done some minor servicing like oil change, and other checks. But not so for these guys. A day after purchase, the change engine oil service light came on, indicating that it was due for an oil change. The staff I dealt with did not look friendly, except for one very young guy who was my contact all the way up to point of sale, and with the initials TN. I will not recommend this dealership to anyone. Customer service is poor.

For both of those times when we arrived there the car we wished to see was not there and rather than letting us know that this was the case before we made the trip out, the 2 salesmen we worked with tried to talk us into buying different and more expensive cars. It took a little over 2 hours for me to explore my buying options and make a decision. I never felt any pressure to rush into a decision or make a purchase. I have to laugh at the closing process, just because I felt like I was buying a house with all the papers you need to sign in this day and age. I guess it's just a sign of the times. My only suggestion to BRH would be to develop a way to have all those documents on line some how and use an electronic signature and save on paper. I don't really care and I don't recycle paper, but in this age, it might be a good investment for their business. Who knows how much they spend on paper!

Three things you should never experience at a car dealer.1. We went in this year for a 2012 Honda Accord. Our salesman, Tom Hughes, was actually a dealer from Bob Rohrman Hyundai, and he was nothing but helpful. I would recommend Tom as a salesman. However when we got to the Honda dealership, we waited over four hours for everything to be done. When we finally got our car, they told us everything was set and we could leave. But when we got into our new car, the gas tank was on E. When I went back in they said they "forgot" to tell us their pumps were down and couldn't fill it or reimburse us. Tom was nice enough to give us $20 of his own money just to make it home.2. Also, the rear license plate on our old vehicle was rusted on and we could only get the front plate. So they gave us a temporary rear plate and said they would mail us our old one. Months went by of us not receiving our plate (and the temp one was well expired)so we continued calling and getting put on hold and never answered. We had to go out and buy new plates ourselves, and again, we were refused reimbursement.3. We used a family member as a cosigner as we're both young and have debt from college. When we received all of our vehicle information in the mail, they listed the family member as the primary vehicle owner and refuse to switch it over.Though they may be friendly, this was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. Not only do I nor recommend this dealer, I advise nobody to visit it.

Had car worked on at Rohrman Honda in Lafayette, IN on Mon, Aug. 20th, 2012. They provided a referral to a towing company that did a great job (Jim's Garage, (765) 447-2626), gave an appointment that was within an hour, took car right in (even though it arrived after the appointment time and many other vehicles were in the garage), diagnosed and fixed problem within about 22 minutes, and here's the best part, they did not charge me, nor would they accept any payment! Many thanks to Crystal (who gave me the appointment), Brad (the Service Advisor), Jeff (the Mechanic) who gave me such great service, and Mr. Rohrman for heading up such a fine dealership. I had feared the car would need a major repair. It was such a relief to be able to safely continue our trip home. If you are from out of town (like I was), and are reading reviews online in a hotel trying to figure out where to get your vehicle repaired (like I was), have no fear about taking it to Bob Rohrman Honda. I am so confident in my purchases with Bob Rohrman that I purchased my vehicle over the phone and the hardest thing I had to do was decide what color I wanted. I still have family in Indiana so I was able to make a quick trip in to the dealership to sign paperwork and while I was there everyone there was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you again, it was a pleasure to do business. Lindsey Waggoner

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought my Honda from them in 2001 so I have been a long-term customer. I could have gone anywhere over the years to get oil changes but I always took my car to them. I will NOT ever step foot in that establishment again. I dropped my car off on Wednesday for an oil change. I also wanted them to look at a possible fuse or switch that was out as the noise that signals the keys are in the ignition and the lights are still on was out. I told them to call me before they did any work other than the oil change so I could know how much the fuse/switch work would cost. They called and said that it would be $67 for the blown switch but that my brake pads needed changing and the rotors needed resurfaced. I asked how much the total cost would be if I went ahead and had it done. He said $298.40. I spoke with my husband and we agreed that I should get it done as we were about to take road trip next week to the east coast.A few hours later, they called me back to tell me that they had misquoted me on the final price and that it would actually be $510. I told them that was a problem as I didn't have that kind of money and that if I had known it would cost this much I would have never agreed to have the work in the first place. The guy said it was his fault for not reading the paperwork properly and went to put his manager on the phone. The manager then said he could give me a discount for $465. I told him I was not paying anything over the original quote as it was NOT my fault that they misquoted me. I said it was unethical to do this to their customer.I then had my husband call as I felt like I was being taken advantage of because I was a woman. My husband repeated the same thing I did. That we were not paying for their mistake. Plus they were now trying to charge me for a leaking oil pan that was never mentioned in the original phone call with the brake pads. It was total crap. My husband threatened to contact our lawyer. The manager replied with, "I'm sorry you feel that way."An hour later they called back a third time to say that after talking it over they were going to charge me $299 and was that okay? I said, "well, yes because that is the original price you quoted me at." I went in and picked up the car. The guy who returned my paperwork admitted that it was his mistake and that he didn't see the oil pan issue when he originally called nor did he understand exactly how long the work would take. He said I was only charged for the parts not the labour. I ended up paying the original amount quoted to me BUT, I find it unethical that they would even attempt to make me pay more. That they even called me with two bogus quotes and a crap "discount" when it was their mistake. You can not quote a client one price and then realize you are wrong AFTER you do the work and expect them to pay it. I wonder how many times they have done this to someone else. Someone, unlike me, who ended up paying the overage! That's what really burns me. That someone else in my shoes might have been swindled into paying it.Because of this fiasco, I will NEVER bring my car back to them. I will go somewhere else for my automotive needs. I am also going to tell everyone I can about my experience there and warn people that this kind of thing actually goes on.They lost a long-term customer that day. And they didn't even care.

To many people to handle one sale. I told the sales person what name I wanted on the title but when I got the title it had the wrong name on it. It will cost me an extra $25 to get it corrected. There was to many people between the sales person and who fills out the title, the information of the name that goes on the title got lost between the people. It also took 30 days to get the wrong title. The temporary plate had expired and I had to drive on an expired plate. That is too long; I should have had the title when I got the vehicle or no more then three days later.

Honda Motor Company put a poorly designed seat frame into the 2010 Honda Fit. Both the driver's and passenger's front seats started "popping" within the first few months of car ownership. The Dealership replaced my drivers seat frame but not until I'd made two trips to the service department, because they didn't know how long it'd take to replace the seat. The dealership was unwilling to lend me a car overnight so that I wouldn't have to take time off work to fix the issue. When the seat frame was replaced, the dash was scratched. The dealer did schedule to have my dash repaired and fixed the frame in the passenger seat. When reassembling the passenger seat, the mechanic didn't put all of the trim back on the seat. I had to make another trip to the dealership to get the trim put back on after it was ordered. Overall, it seems that someone it lacking a little attention to detail. The dealership has made strides in correcting the issues. They've been pleasant to deal with, and try to go above and beyond to get things done timely. Sometimes I think money could be saved by doing the job carefully and correctly the first time.

My wife and I first visited the showroom about a month ago and test drove an Accord and a Civic hybrid. Jeff Whaley was very helpful in thinking about these models. I then had gone on line and looked up specs on various Honda and Toyota models, including size, mileage, options and price information. I requested and received an on-line price quote for these models. The Honda quotes were significantly below the price suggested by on-line sites such as the Kelley Blue-book site. We went back to Rohrmann this week and did another test drive of the Accord, the Civic, the Civic hybrid and the Toyota Prius. After this we decided on the Honda Civic and purchased it at the price quoted on-line. The price was very good, Jeff was very helpful in thinking about options, Ziebart, etc. and financing options. Overall we were very happy with our purchase and the help that Jeff gave us in this decision.

My wife and I made a deal over the phone for what was supposed to be a Brand New Kia Optima. It was slightly over invoice price - what many other dealers had quoted us on a new Optima - but they didn't have the color my wife insisted on - Metal Bronze. So we drove from Indy to Lafayette and started the Paperwork - when I noticed the back seat area was very dirty. I then asked how many miles the car had on it - and the salesperson said "827." I told them that was a demo at best and a used car at worst. They offered to knock an additional $500 off our previously negotiated price - but it soured us both on the deal. My wife and I are 50+ years of age and have purchased our fare share of new autos - we've never had one delivered to us w/ more than about 30 miles on the odometer. The dealer acted as though it was no big deal and said they've never had a customer raise an issue or complain about this number of miles on a "New" car. Yeah - right.

The salesman lied about the condition of the brakes on a used car we purchased. Within 5 hr. of driving off the lot, it began to over heat & the radiator started leaking. The next day the Rohrman service dept. said they would replace the radiator for $300! The very next morning the car would not start and an independent mechanic replaced the sparkplugs that were in "very bad condition". He also checked the brakes and found new pads over warped rotors. The car still over heated so we were told to return it to the Rohrman service dept & they discovered a blown head gasket! They said "normally" it would cost $1200. but they could give us a "deal" for $800! In the end, we had to contact an attorney & he called them. They agreed to refund our purchase price, but we are still out the radiator repair, not to mention the legal fee. Before we involved an attorney, they had agreed to "trade out" the lemon for another car... we drove it home & returned the next day... spent several hours stuck at the dealership while they ran a complete diagnostic on the car... only to be told by a different salesman that he was embarrassed to say they had too much money in that car to trade for the other one!..even though the Blue Book value was less than the first one! and after all the hours we spent there!!! If that isn't unscrupulous, I don't know what is!

I asked for a quote via phone and to follow it up with a written quote. Apparently, the written quote was not specific on the car but it was a great offer. I feel like the offer, which did not state the trim level although I mentioned it, was made on purpose to get me into their showroom and convince me to buy a car I did not want. Be careful not to fall for being lured in with false hopes.

This Dealership has a lot to learn about customer service. They will give you the run around, and me being young, they tried to pull anything on me. They tried everything to keep me from upgrading to a upper model accord. They kept me there the whole day, and had me out in the snow looking at cars, and getting my hopes up. The salesmen gave me a TOTALLY different quote than the finance manager. Do not take any quotes from sales. The finance manager, talked over me, and tried to tell me, how it was going to be, when the deal is on my terms, not theirs. I will not get my new car from then this fall when the 2008 accord arrives. Apparently there having trouble with their turn over with staff. They did not make the experience of just looking and seeking options fun at all. I will not return. Service department is "okay" and guy did get smart with me, and was rude and talked over me, and made me feel stupid. I have asked all my co-workers and lafayette area people about what they thought of bob rhorman auto group, and you know what they say? Never will I get a car there. Horrible, Overpriced!Buyer Beware.

This service department is so irritating. They are sometimes courteous, sure, but I sometimes I think it is only to get a customer to give a perfect rating when that bogus survey calls the next day or two. They smile the whole time they overcharge or make life difficult. I just called for a replacement mirror. Without asking a single question, much less looking at the vehicle, the manager quoted me a $90 service charge. Then, when I spoke to parts, they insisted my mirror was a power mirror. It's not. It drive the vehicle every day. I know that my model does not have power mirrors, regardless of what it says on his monitor.

Great, but they did manipulate which car I got down to the spoiler. They told me that I could not get the Honda Accord SE with the spoiler because it would make my payments go up $20 more. It is just a spoiler. Also there are specials now that are for the EX that are the same price that I am paying for my SE, so naturally I feel like that they totally just tossed me around without getting the best bang for the buck. Although I am very pleased and do not regret getting my SE. So no dissapointment there. Next time I will get what I want, or I will take my money elsewhere. It will be on my terms, not theres. Seriously bob Rhroman, a spoiler? it is not worth 600 bucks like you said, BE HONEST. Other than this I am pleased, and will proceed another deal in the future. After all there is anothr dealer in Indy.Thank You.Do your research, #1 key to successfully getting what you want, they will have no reason to argue with you if your informative and show that you know what your doing.
