Had a great experience working with Justin in buying a used Expedition. I live an 1.5 hours from the dealership and did not want to make a trip without knowing that I could get a deal close to what I wanted. I worked with Justin via email, sending pictures of my trade with descriptions. I finally made the trip after shopping at dealerships most of the day in St Louis and got to the dealership on a Sat - 1/2 before closing. Came in on the spur of the moment on a Friday morning. I had a rear turn signal out. I knew I'd have a busy weekend on the road in my 2015 Expedition and needed to get it fixed right away for safety reasons. There was a line of vehicles to be serviced and I was short on time. Blake came to my rescue. He came out into the parking lot and fixed my turn signal right there on the spot. My Hero! I can't sing his praises loud enough. I only hope he knows how much I appreciated him going above and beyond the call of duty to help me. Five star service all the way.

Dropped in for a quick oil change and got right in. Make over at the service desk looks very nice. Not as crazy about the seating area changes. There are less seats and I've been there before when there was more seating all the seats were full. They guys are always good to me.

I've been buying and trading at Ridings for many years; since Geoff was a salesman! Have never had anything but great experiences. Entire staff (sales, service, body shop) has always been polite, helpful, efficient and focused on fixing my issues. I live in Springfield and would not consider doing business with a local dealership. The last time I did business with a Springfield dealer could be considered ancient and painful history!

Started shopping for a new car while having brake work done on my 11 year old Town & Country van. I test drove a Chevy Equinox, loved it but not the metalic black color. Jeff arranged for a silver one to be brought from the Monticello dealership. It was perfect except for a flawed paint touch up done on the tailgate. They fixed the paint, had a second key made for me, gave me a loaner car to drive, & I brought my new Equinox home last night :) Thank you Jeff & Geoff for your patience & going above & beyond to put me in another Bob Ridings car. You never pay more.Considering an auto purchase, I have known (& worked with Sales Manager Geoff S. - G Off, my fellow ISP officers referred to him when he flew UH-1's for ILANG- for 30 + years -will treat everyone honestly & fairly). Lucy is excellent to work with anytime I want to buy a car and is always very accommodating! I appreciate her patience and I appreciate the fact that she answers my questions about cars I am looking at but doesn't bug me and allows me to think about my purchase. Geoff and Tara were awesome in providing answers/information on how to handle plates transfers and what needed to be done since I am keeping my current Journey for my son and buying another Journey. Kudos to all of them. The service department is always great when I bring my car to be worked on for maintenance. They answer my questions and let me know if they see any problems developing. They work with you if need be and it will take more than one day to fix your problem.

I must admit that buying a car usually ranks up there with a bad case of the stomach flu. It is frustrating to go around and around in circles while you know exactly that you are being lied to and pushed into paying much more than you want to pay. After buying in Springfield, IL where we live and not having the best experiences, we decided to drive to Taylorville and try the Bob Ridings dealership. I have heard Bob Ridings on radio commercials and thought it was worth taking a look. I'm so glad that we did. We were greeted by Kimberly Heggy who preceded to listen exactly to what we were looking for in a car for my daughter. She didn't push us into higher price cars and was fine when I didn't want to pay the price on one vehicle and continued to show us others until my daughter found the car she loved at a price we loved. The buying experience was fast and very easy. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and down to earth. Bob Ridings himself even checked in on us. Kimberly was wonderful and made the process easy. We felt that everything would be done properly and she even asked us to bring the car back on Monday for detailing since we were there past closing on Saturday. Exceptional Dealership, employees who are friendly and really concerned about providing a great buying experience, and an owner who still likes to make sure his customers are happy. Left with Bob Ridings hats and flowers. We will definitely be back...

I bought an awesome 2015 Ford Edge. It had a scratch that needed to be taken care of. It also had a horn issue. As I turned corners or turned the steering wheel, periodically my horn would go off. They got me in. Got me a loaner car of equivalent equipment as my car. They made the process very smooth. I even had a recall that was mailed to me and I had them resolve it while they had my vehicle. When I went to go pick up the vehicle, they not only just gave me the keys...but, took the time to explain each thing that they did to it. They made sure they answered all my questions. Only issue, is that my horn went off again yesterday. It has only happened once. Hopefully just a fluke. My salesman, Jason Bough coordinated everything. He was awesome! He is the internet sales mgr.

I shopped on line just out of curiosity and discovered that they had the exact car I was looking for with all the options and low miles. I simply sent an email and within a matter of minutes got a response from Jason Bough. I told him that I wasn't sure that I was really ready to buy and he offered to just work it up and get back to me. I kept telling him that I didn't want to waste his time when I wasn't sure that I would buy. He was wonderful and never pressured me in anyway. I told him what I was willing to do and he handed it off to his finance man, who also was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to get us to where we wanted to be. Jason was wonderful to work with as well as the finance man, I'm sorry I can't recall his name. When we picked the car up everyone was very friendly and made us feel quite comfortable. We actually live about an hour from the dealership, but it was certainly worth the drive.

I'm on my 32nd vehicle. I have never been able to buy locally until I met Jason Bough. I believed I could always save a few thousands by buying from dealers in Chicago, Miami, Texas, etc. I challenged him to sell me a car. He met my challenge and exceeded my expectations. Not only was the price fair but, he went up and beyond to make sure that it was the right car for the right price. This included arranging co-workers at other Riding dealerships to take the time to show me a car that was not on their Taylorville lot. You truly have a family of dealerships working to earn your business. As an attorney I have a very hectic schedule. Jason Bough and Jeff Sargison accommodated me very well right down to closing when I had to leave half way through to handle a matter. They stayed after closing hours to make sure that my car was delivered on that day. He thoroughly went through each option and even synced my phone. Keep in mind, this is an hour maybe an hour and a half after closing. I have never the quality of service at any other dealership, than the one I have with Ridings.

We recently purchased our sixth vehicle from bob ridings. The two salesmen that we had purchased thru are no longer at this dealership, so that's all there is to say about that....but the service department is why we keep coming back. JAY, TRAVIS and the rest of the service department are top notch. whenever we had a problem they took care of what ever it might be. Recently, our battery died on our new car. With a phone call, they came and picked up the vehicle and fixed the problem, then delivered the car back to our home while we were at work! So the car was ready when we came home. There are more examples, but I'll keep this short. The bottom line is, this service department is why we continually purchase, happily, from bob ridings.

i am not one to write a review on anything i get right off the bat just the way i am. i have been looking for a car for six months again you can see no hurry with me . i have been to other dealers and you cant get out the car and someone is trying to sell you a car .come on in and we will give you about half what your your cars worth. well a few of theses and i was keeping my car i am not giving it away no matter how i want another car. well i got on the internet and seen a couple of cars i was interested in went to bob ridings and looked around found one i liked talked to ron pritchard and traded for a good price . i am just saying before i would buy somewhere i would give bob ridings a try.

Found a great deal for on a truck via Cars.com at this dealership. Contacted a salesperson who didn't have any details but was willing to check it out for me. Called me back to say that the actual truck didn't have any of the equipment that I was looking for, although the Cars.com ad was very clear that it did. Contacted a manager to get details who confirmed it did have the equipment in the ad but the price was actually $7K more than listed (the Cars.com ad said the truck was $7K below MSRP). I don't live local but wish I did.....I love to talk to these guys face to face. Would have be easy enough to tell me the truth during our first phone call. No need to lie to me and hope that I'd go away.

I bought a 2013 fusion from this dealer. The process of buying the car was great. I had a great salesperson. That's where it all ends. I had a recall on the headliner for this car. I took it and the replaced it. When I got home, I noticed the new headliner had a rip in it, the weather stripping was ripped, all the side panels were scratched from where they used a tool to pop out the headliner, my sunvisor was broke, I had scratches all over the inside of the car, and they scratched the outside of the door. Noone told me, they just gave me the car back like nothing had happened. When I took the car back in, the customer service I received was terrible. They did admit to damaging my car and agreed they needed to fix it. They had my car for 2 months. I went back to get it, and there were two very visible mistakes that I complained about, and they said they were done with me, I needed to take my car to landmark in springfield, that basically I was being two picky. The sunvisor was still broke, when you pulled it down it came out of the headliner, but that's my fault I guess. I just bought this car in Janaury 2013, it was in superb condition. Also, the lady that handle complaints said the whole problem was that I was not patient. They had my car for 2 months. They treat you good upfront, but if have any problems.. beware.... I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!

We didn't end up getting a van there or anywhere. We loved their helpfulness with trying to get us the best loan possible and low payments but in the end the lender not the dealer just couldn't give us the low payment that we needed to get a van. So we are still saving and hope that with more of a down payment we can have a newer van by this summer from them. Again so kind and helpful can't wait to work with them again.

I recently purchased a 2008 Jeep Liberty Limited from Bob Ridings in Taylorville and it ended up being one of the greatest experiences in my life. I tried for over a week to get this vehicle and finally was able to complete the process only with the hard work of salesman Ron Pritchard. I have bought 5 vehicles from this dealership, ranging from cars to trucks to suv's. Each time my experience was excellent (thats why I keep going back). Each purchase was a Ford and any time there was the littlest issue they were all over it. One time we even ordered a vehicle from the factory which took 6 weeks to get. One other time they had to go to Indiana to get the vehicle I wanted from another dealer. Simply put they have always bent over backwards to do business with me. Having said that, its not because they make a ton of money off of me. I shop around and usually offer two dealerships a shot at making the best price on the new vehicle and on the trade. The sales manager at Bob Ridings has always made sure they smoked the competitions numbers.Great place to do business!!!!
