I've bought my share of vehicles in the last 10 years. I have to admit this has been the most rewarding experience. From the day I walked into the dealership and even after with maintenance and having to get my car registered after leaving Colorado. Every department from sales, billing, finance, and maintenance has been courteous and answer their phones, if not return your call right away. Everyone I've come across has a genuine interest in making every experience painless and how it should be, treating the customer right.

Bruce did a great job in selling us a new Volvo S-60. He was very polite, low-keyed in his approach, and very helpful throughout the process. After the sale, he went above and beyond in helping us learn to use all the technology within the vehicle on two separate occasions. It was the best car purchase experience I have had in my 63 years! All other employees we encountered were also helpful and courteous! Pleasant overall experience!

Scott made the buying process beyond easy, no hassle no pushing. Just straight forward on what he could or could not do. Scottie got me the most bang for my buck. Purchased a 2016 GTI. Love it. Car is prestine. 5 year 72k warranty and services. I can not think of one complaint about this process. I have and will continue to recommend my family and friends to this dealer and specifically to Scottie.

We arrived at 320 for our SCHEDULED appointment. I had talked to April the day before and gave her all of the vehicles we wanted to test drive. We arrived and were told to wait because they "needed to find someone to help us"... Why did they need to find someone if i had an appointment. Then Zac came to help us. He was good and helpful... At first. But then NONE of the vehicles were brought from the other locations like promised. So we viewed a toyota camry which wouldnt work with carseats and he brought around a saturn vue... He then basically dissapeared. We were at the dealership for over 4 hours waiting for one car to get there from another dealership and waiting to test drive cars. It was a big mess and the fact that Zac checked on us MAYBE 6 or 7 times was irritating. That is a long story, short. I will NEVER go to Bob Penkhus again and i recommend you run far away. We went to South Colorado Springs Nissan and were out of there with a 2011 kia sorento within 2 hours. Check them out!

Steven Jones, Brian, Haus, and Mike, to use a military term, "are all keepers." In other words, they were kind, courteous, friendly, helpful, and more than willling to go out of their way to help. They were well trained and knew the product very well. Some constructive advise, Rob should have a controlled library where the sales people could get the "User's Manual" and show the different features. I believe it would be an excellent tool to assit the sales people in making the sale. I understand they are locked up for the new cars but getting the manufacturer to send a copy for employee's use with customers would be very helpful. Thanks Guys, Lee Lt. Col/USAF (Med Ret/DAV)

When I was looking to purchase a new vehicle, I came to Bob Penkhus Motors to check out the Mazda3 iSport. The customer service was EXCELLENT!! The people I worked with were friendly and helpful and tried to work with me the best they could concerning pricing and vehicle information. I really felt like "family". I purchase the Mazda3 iSport with manual transmission in October and I had been really pleased with it. UNTIL I got in to start my vehicle in January 2016 - approximately 5 months after my purchase. The engine wouldn't turn over. I tried everything and even read the instructions. I finally called the service department. The woman I spoke with told me to go ahead and contact their towing contractor and have the vehicle towed in. When I talked with her the following day, she said the mechanics could find nothing wrong with my car. THEN she asked if I left any lights on!!! NO!! She said I would have to pay for the tow and the mechanics time because THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE!! I did talk with the service supervisor and told him how disappointed I was that they would blame ME because THEY couldn't find the problem. After all was said and done, I did not have to pay anything for the tow or the mechanic. They did recharge the battery. I know for a fact the vehicle had been at the lot for at least a year. It would have been nice if, instead of blaming me by insinuating I was stupid, they would have just replaced the battery. So far I have not had any problems starting my vehicle. I hope it stays that way. The Mazda rep I had worked through explained to me that is why they have a one-year warranty to cover such items and I should never have been told I would have to reimburse them for anything. This is the only Mazda dealer in town so I HAVE to go to them for warranty work. Hopefully, they will be better at customer service if I have to deal with them again. I would recommend this dealership when purchasing a vehicle, but I am not overly impressed at this point with their service.

Service department really is top notch great turn around. Highly knowledgeable and friendly service staff. We have been a customer for about a year with their service department. Did not purchase from this dealership but I think we would after dealing with them and working with a new salesperson named Hannah Bolick. I prefer the laid back, take it or leave it honest approach in sales and I am usually pretty unfriendly to salespeople as it is. We decided to test drive the newer S60 yesterday and when we arrived I did not appreciate a greeting from a young and "hungry" salesperson from across the parking lot. That sets me on edge and we would not have dealt with him at all. Then after walking inside, we met Hannah, who is just a tiny thing. I am always very skeptical when it comes to salespeople and I am a tough customer at first for sure. So it should come as no surprise when I say she was a little eager for my comfort but as I warmed up she didn't get pushy at all. When we get serious about actually buying a new Volvo, if we don't buy another BMW, and if Hannah still works there, I would be happy to give her the sale.

Out of all the vehicles that I have purchased through the years, in many different states and dealerships, my experience at Bob Penkhus was outstanding. Our salesman, Zac Bunz, was very professional and stayed in touch and on top of everything during the sale. That kind of customer service is getting harder and harder to find and the rest of the crew there was top notch as well. They were not pushy in any way. I initially went in to get my wife's Beetle's serviced and I bumped into Zac in the dealership. End state, they ended up having a very nice used truck at their Woodmen dealership that we were interested in. I had to go back to work, so they brought the truck back down to the Motor City location so I could come back and check it out in the evening, with no pressure to buy, no signing of any stupid form saying that "if we can make this deal, will you buy this car??!!" No harm, no foul if I didn't like it. Everything worked out, they gave us the best deal on our two trade-ins, and the whole process was just easy and pain free. Great customer service, Zac was super professional, and I would recommend him and this dealership to anyone. Thanks!

I drove 3 and a half hours to buy a Saturn Vue and ended up being an "As is" pre-auction car. It was the only dealership out of the 6 I was checking out that did not disclose this very important piece of information so I wasted my time thinking it was an inspected vehicle and turned down other cars when deciding what to buy through cars.com. Once there I was harassed every two minutes when I was test driving the car so I returned it without fully testing it. Needless to say I will never return.

I came in about a week ago looking to replace my totaled car from the hale damage. I found what I was looking for, and they gave me a great first look at it. Gareth was knowledgeable of the car.He sold me the car in a great price and he hooked me up with a full tank too. Sadly I had to take that car back because of loan issues. I was afraid to start from scratch again. I went there telling him the problems i had with my loan and they understand me completely. They found me another car that same day and told me to give them a good price for a car. I did, and was dissapointed because i felt that the price they game me was too low for the dealership to accept. But they did. Gave me that car in a great and fair price and drove away with away with it the next day, without any penalites from the other car. His manager Matt Canales was nice enough to make me that offer for that car. They are really military friendly and understandable to your financial problems. They will present you with many options and that is really amazing!!! Overall perfection =)

Went to buy a car. They were using the car listed as a loaner. The miles were incorrectly listed on the ad from actual miles. It took hours before they got the vehicle to the dealership. We saw the vehicle at night; the salesperson said it was good,not so much. The next day we found a chip in the window, hole in the floorboard carpet, needed to replace the tires, no owners manual and other items as well. I had our mechanic go over the car and he said the fluids were dirty and had not been serviced well. I called the dealership and they told me I had to buy my own owners manual. do not buy a used car from this dealership. I will NEVER purchase a car from them again. Love Mazda but not Bob Penkhus.

I recently went to Bob Penkhus with my husband to purchase a used vehicle. We had very specific circumstances around the loan we got from ENT, and we were upside down in our trade. We knew it was going to be very difficult, if at all possible, to find a new vehicle. Mr Charlie Allen, and salesman Paul, along with finance manager Hauss, went far above and beyond to help us not only find a vehicle, but a fully loaded, low-milage AWD SUV with a a third-row. They hit all the marks of what we were looking for and then some, as this unit has heated seats, DVD player and every option available. They spent at least 3 or 4 hours working with the bank lenders, searching inventory, evaluating our trade and taking into account our unique circumstances to find us a vehicle. As I stated earlier, we were fully prepared to walk out without a car. I am still in awe at the level of professionalism, the level of respect and dignity shown us and the overall expereince. We will always return to Bob Penkhus for all our needs. We have a teeneager ready to drive soon, and we will be certain to visit this dealership to find her a safe, reliable and affordable first vehicle. I can not express how amazing this experience was. Thank you!!!

Never buy a car from Bob Penkhus, and here's why. I came in to buy a car from them while my husband was deployed overseas, they took full advantage of this and sold me a Jeep for 23k, which I two days later had appraised at just 15k, why? Let me tell you, the roof leaks in two places, the tires need replacing, the sway bar links were loose and the alignment was off. I made them take it back, reluctantly, and VERY rudely. They messed me around for over a week, the manager is beyond rude and nothing short of a scam artist. I finally got another vehicle from them yesterday after countless phone calls and literally having to drive down there every single day to be ignored for hours and pushed around from salesman to salesman. They already have that Jeep back for sale, this time for 26k. So, beware, just don't go anywhere near them!! The manager is a piece of work, and they love to bully people into service warranties they don't want, with the threat of not closing the deal otherwise. To top it off, their 165 point "inspection" is a 5 minute look over and they do the bare minimum, to include selling tires that already need replaced immediately. Stay far away!!!

Called to get more information on a car that was advertised. The salesman called me back within a few hours. He was sitting in the car had it running and explained to me the options and condition of interior and exterior. I did not purchase the car but was impressed with the callback. It has been my experience that the dealer won't tell you much about a car they want to get you to come in and look at it. this callback saved me a trip due to the lack of an option that I required. Very impressed would go to that dealer again.
