Okay in the same week of buying the car had to bring it back because the vehicle was starting on its own yeah that's what I said thought the issue was fixed after they had the car 2 weeks come out today vehicle is running yeap all my gas gone again.Now I didn't mention when I put into different gears it makes loud clunking sound i mean they didn't even bother to change the oil haaaa this place is a joke called dealership to talk too Chris but you got no call back plz plz take close look at the car and who u buying from.

Just bought a used E350 from this dealership recently. When I bought the car there were scratches on the front and rear bumpers. I addressed to the salesman and the manager. They assured me they would fix it once their paint guys came in. Also, 2 days after I bought the car, I noticed an obnoxious rattle from the rear speaker. I told the service man when I brought it in. 2 hours later he calls me and says "I don't hear anything." So I say, "OK I will come show you in the morning." I arrive in the morning and show him the rattle I am talking about." He then says "I don't think there is anything that we can do for that under warranty." I tell him " I just bought the car a week ago!" So he says he will have his service guy take a look at it again. Over the course of the next 5 hours I went back and fourth with this salesman about how it needed to be fixed, and him more or less refusing to fix it. 5 hours later he calls and tells me they replaced it. I get there to find the speaker sounds exactly the same and the scratches are still there and haven't even been touched. Thoroughly disappointed with their service and professionalism. There is no way that speaker was replaced, it sounds the exact same as before. What is the point of making promises and having a warranty, if they will not do anything when you have a problem.

To make a long story short I had tire pressure system malfunction message displayed and came over to get it checked. After waiting for over 2 hrs I was told RDCmodule is broken and repair would be $1086.88. I fainted and didn't go with the repair and paid $168 for the diagnostic (which is high but reasonable). Waiting for my car I found on realoem.com the part I needed and it costed $300. I went to service advisor and asked him if it was the part and he told me it wasn't. So I went to the parts department and asked how much was the part and was told the same price. Afterthat service advisor admitted I was showing him the right part. I wanted him to explain the difference between the part cost and repair cost which was almost $800 more than a part itself and he told me that part was difficult to change and there was programming involved which requires few hours of labor. I did some research and found out that programming is not the case and swapping the parts takes no more that 5 minutes. I decided to act on my own and called many other bmw services. The highest estimate I got was $501. Not $1086. I purchased the part for $307 and replaced it myself which took no more than 1 minute. I am not a mechanic but it was a very easy repair. Unplug one plug and plug it into the new module. Everything works in order. They called me asking how was my experience with them and I told them how dishonest they are and how they tried to scam me for soooo much money. They offered to deduct the cost of diagnostic ($168) from my next service bill but I don't think I'm ever gonna use their service again. You earn the trust. You can't buy it. And they will never get my trust back.

Bought a car new 2016 90 days ago. They truly took advantage of me. Barbara in finance is a liar, Chris Hardaway is only about selling a car. Nothing ethical about how this dealership is ran. Charged me close to $60,000 for a $40,000 car. I am holding back tears at how poorly I was duped. Mercedes of Chicago on the north side off i94 tried to warn me this was a shady deal, but I didn't listen. I regret it. Don't do business with this dealership. They are all shady people. I beg you not to bring hardship on your life. Don't do business with these people.I hate the car now even more because of how much I was over charged. Please I beg you don't get into the same situation I'm in. Chicago has very great dealerships that don't fight for business, they have high-end clients, saw Blackhawks coach there, so they aren't short on business. Chicago dealerships, specifically Mercedes Benz of Chicago don't prey on clients. If nothing else, I just hope to help someone else to avoid what happened to me.Christopher in used cars was rude to me as well. Chris Hardaway is smooth talking and out for sealing a deal at all cost.Barbara, who will tell you about her 4 plus kids and divorce to make you feel sympathetic for how you'll never receive good service from her because she's going through xxxx at home... why do I know this? First I wanted to say that this was my first BMW and I was a little nervous visiting the dealership. I've read so many negative reviews on how some customers felt like they were ignored or judge based on appearances. I can tell you I felt welcomed from the moment I walked into this dealership, my sales person was Chris Hardaway and he was very professional and polite. All ways remember preventive maintenance is a whole lot cheaper then repairs. As a retired fleet manager I understand maintenance means saving the cost of repairs. The only way to make sure preventive maintenance is done correctly is if the automotive technician is keep up to date by constant factory training. As a retired vehicle fleet manager I encountered a good deal of service department. I in my experience with service department none came close to the EXCELENTS of BMW of SHERERVILLE service departments. At BMW of SCHERERVILE, the service advisers number one concern is the client and the service provide to the client. The repairs are done by factory trained technicians, that means the best possible price. You may find some other place that charges a little less. With out factory training there is a good chance the repairs will have to be redone at the clients experience, so not any cheaper but more costly. That was the reason when my BMW was damaged by ice. I bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2012 X5 from BMW Schererville and it was the single worst consumer experience of my life. Between the stringent standards required by BMWs CPO program and several conversations with BMW Scherervilles sales staff to verify equipment and condition, I felt comfortable purchasing my X5 from out of state. Through several conversations, BMW Scherervilles salesperson Bruce Guidotti said he had inspected the car and assured me there were absolutely no issues with it, cosmetic or otherwise. However, when the car arrived it came with severe pre-existing damage to a door and a handful of other issues that were outside CPO standards. I sent Bruce notice and photos that day, which began a process that dragged out for over three months and dozens of email and phone conversations. For the first couple of months, I assumed BMW Schererville intended to stand behind the sale because their staff asked for an estimate (the car needed $3,748.09 worth of repairs), said they were checking with management, etc., but they ultimately balked and stopped returning my email and phone communication. I set a response deadline and when it passed, I filed complaints with BMW North America, the State of Indiana Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau, which led to another staff person from BMW Schererville finally contacting me. Eventually, having heard from the BBB and the AG, they paid. In exchange for payment, I signed a hold harmless agreement. In one draft of that agreement BMW Schererville attempted to insert language referring to damage arising from transport. I refused to include that language as I was afraid it might be used against the truck driver who transported the car. The Attorney General had pulled the carfax on the vehicle for mesomething BMW North America requires a dealership to do before qualifying a vehicle for the CPO programand the record clearly shows the car was involved in an accident a month before it was traded into BMW Schererville. During this entire process, the BMW Schererville staff claimed to know nothing about any damage to the car. One staff person went so far as to state that hed called the long-time customer who traded the car in and the customer said he didnt know about any damage.Im a long-term customer of BMW Seattle and they were incredibly helpful through this process, including letting me use their loaner vehicles for weeks on end, coordinating with Pacific Autobody (the BMW Certified body shop they use), and serving as my advocate. (Id tried to buy the car from them but they hadnt been able to locate a low-mileage 2012 X5 with the options I wanted.) It turned out the car door had to be replaced entirely, which meant the repair was going to cost even more than what BMW Schererville had paid me. Both BMW Seattle and Pacific Autobody extended me wholesale pricing on parts and labor in order to get the repair done without going over that amount. In other words, they made up for BMW Scherervilles shortcomings at their own expense because they were sympathetic to my situation.I recommend that anyone with similar difficulties contact the Attorney Generals consumer complaints division and the Better Business Bureau right away. I also recommend they consider buying a car from BMW Seattle.

I recently leased my second BMW from Joe Holewa. Our recent visit to BMW-Schererville, Indiana has proved to be our smoothest and most pleasant vehicle purchase to date. It was coordinated by Jim Lojas, Being from the Chicago area, we were referred to Jim. Being a state away, we first contacted Jim by phone and provided him with our purchase criteria. Jim was genuinely accommodating from the onset. He provided us with several suggestions to view via website, that he believed would best fit our needs. I can say, without a doubt, that the team at BMW Schererville is a CLASS ACT! When I was looking to purchase a BMW, I lurked on BMW Schererville's website, which is kept up-to-date, and found what I was looking for. I sent a request for an internet quote and Chris O. promptly e-mailed me a price within an hour of requesting it. The price was below what I researched and was a more-than-fair deal. I came in and was referred to Bruce Guidotti since Chris doesn't technically sell the cars. Bruce worked to get me the best for my trade and gave a fairly decent offer. Unlike other dealerships I've dealt with, Bruce never pressured me into buying nor did he jump the gun on trying to get a payoff for my trade before giving me a fair offer! This was much appreciated and is the way to do business! After we agreed on everything, all information was exchanged. Everything went without a hitch from start to finish with the exception of my financial paperwork being delayed by a half hour - but this was not a big deal and is to be expected when purchasing any car! Purchasing a vehicle from the Schererville location was a great decision on my part. From walking into the dealership to leaving with the keys to my new car I have never been as satisfied with the experience I'd received specifically from the salesperson. Bruce was excellent! He was cordial, honest, knowledgeable, and well experienced as a car salesman who made an intimidating experience pleasurable. Bruce was at ease and demonstrated sheer confidence by answering any and all questions that I posed and was attentitive to my many needs and concerns; and as a female consumer making such an expensive purchase such service is something I personally appreciate. Let me start with saying that the sales people at BMW of Schererville are liars. I was looking at a car online at $53,332.00 and they had the price crossed over. The only way to find out the price was to ask for a quote online. I did send a request online, and I did not get a price. I got an introduction and couple questions, such as Have you driven a new BMW before and Would you like to schedule a test drive. I did respond back asking for a price, and I did get a price of $58,690. I asked him how he came up with that price (assuming the price was out the door) I did the math $53,332 x 7%(tax) = $57,065.24, I could not believe that they will charge me $1,624.76 for documentation and plates. All the dealers in Indiana charge $80 for documentation fees, and the fee for the plate varies depending on the car. It did not make any sense to me. This is what I got back.I apologize, I gave you pricing on the 2012 BMW X6, ST#P2095! The pricing on the 2009 BMW X6, ST#P2106 is $51,890.00 plus any taxes, title and licensing fees. Also remember, we are not a vehicle museum, so we are open to any reasonable offers!I figured that its an honest mistake; anyone can make it with so many cars in stock. I did take my car for service today. I asked for the person, and he came, introduced himself. I told him who I was and that I wanted to see the car. He introduced me to a sales person, I took the car for a test drive, and I noticed a sticker on the dashboard, with the writing facing down, I picked it up, flipped it over and the listing price of the car was $50,498. I told the person how I felt and he gave me an excuse that the car was brought in recently, and they did not know the price of the car at the time. He showed me the car on his computer and the price was over $51,500. Right after making the excuse, he asked me if I would buy the car for $47,000. I was very surprised, that the car from $58,000 came down to $47,000. If I did not mention the email conversation, he would have offered me the car for $50,500 and maybe after an hour of negotiation, going and asking the manager he would have come back with the best he can do is $49,800. The purpose of this email is because I do not want you to sell yourself short. Do your homework. There are plenty of BMW dealers in IL that have awesome service and are upfront with their pricing. BMW of Schererville have an attitude that they are the only dealer in northwest IN. I just wasted an hour with them, so they can make a fool out of me. They do not realize that is not about the money and the lies. I understand its a negotiation, but they made me feel like a dumbass. P.S The good thing about it is that I had a great experience with the service department. My advice is buy your BMW from a reputable dealer but service it at BMW of Schererville.

I brought my 2002 BMW 325I in for service on NUMEROUS occasions in lieu of the inability of the alleged BMW certified technicians to fix it properly or to advise they did not know how. Kristy iMurphy was initially courteous but after multiple visits, she tried to imply negligence on my part or that they had not agreed to certain stipulations (which they had). Paul Harding substituted for her on some occasions and while he was pleasant, he also was tired of me coming in but guess what, SO WAS I! Howard Dwan is a fast talking car dealership manager who allegedly put a new engine in my car at their expense due to his department not being able to fix wht they alleged they had fix only to remove the engine when I brought it back once again due to problems and replaced it with another old engine (or my old engine)...I still had to put a quart of oil in my car every week up until last week when I purchased a new car.They never, never repaired the car after roughly about $6k spent in replacing practically everything under the hood..thermostat, radiator, etc. I heard horror stories about the dealership and the service department and those horror stories became true for me. Some said 'oh, they changed,,,,they no longer have the bad reputation they use to have'...well, unfortunately that did not come true for me. Thank goodness I purchased a new car from a reputable dealership that knows how to service their cars.I do not recommend this dealership. Run as fast as you can. No, I'm not bitter only an honest customer with a poor experience.

I would like to preface this review by telling you a bit about my husband and I. We like cars, between us we have owned at one point in time or another a Honda, a Toyota, multiple Mini Coopers, a Ford and a Land Rover. We have had varied experiences at each and every dealership we have purchased from, but all these experiences pale in comparison to the quality and customer service we received from Bruce Guidotti at BMW of Schererville. We came to see Bruce after having a very negative experience with Barry at Laurel BMW of Westmont. Bruce was prepared for our appointment, personable, and most IMPORTANTLY he was HONEST and gave us a fair trade in value without a hassle. This was extremely refreshing from a consumer standpoint. We came in educated and knew exactly how much our trade in should fetch (without being unreasonable) and we were prepared to walk if need be but Bruce made us the offer we were looking for right from the start. We had a haggle free transaction and as a result are the proud owners of a lovely and loaded 2012 X3. If it werent for Bruce at BMW of Schererville we would have completely abandoned our quest for the X3 and gone with another brand as our experience at Laurel had left a bitter taste in our mouths. Bought my brand new car here and 2 months later traded it in for an infiniti (today 8-20-2011). Was extremely dissatisfied with the way that this brand new car ran. After bringing it home, on start up the engine shuddered. On several occasions it even bucked. I brought it in and was told it was due to putting in less than premium gas. About a week or so later i brought it back and insisted it be rechecked. I also brought with me the stack of "premium" gas receipts to prove that i wasnt putting anything but premium in the car. On this service visit they found that there were two leaking fuel injectors. They were replaced but the car continued to give bad symptoms. Long story short, after yet another visit to service with a crappy end result we got rid of the car. I will say that the Sales manager Berto and Joe H. were very nice sales people and willing to try to make things right. The product just doesnt meet our standards.

We were traveling from Chicago and still 200 miles from home when our tire went flat. We made it to Schererville BMW after poor support from BMW's Roadside Assistance service. The service staff is always professional. Kudos to Paul who scored major points with my wife, who thinks the hoopla of luxury cars is overrated. After sharing with him that I was spending the day with my wife to celebrate her birthday; he walked us to the car and handed her a BMW teddy bear. It is still sitting on display in our bedroom. After hearing mixed messages about previous ownership I was extremely hesitant to engage this particular dealership. Im happy to report that my experience was quite positive (from a new car sales standpoint) and has served to earn my trust and possible repeat business in the future.During my initial contact, I engaged the new owner of the dealership (Mike Gillespie). Not thinking that I would get much of a response at 4:30pm on a Monday Mike promptly answered the phone and informed me that he was in the shop and would call me back in 15 minutes. 10 minutes later, my call was returned at which point I informed Mr. Gillespie that I was interested in ordering a BMW 335xi coupe with some specific options and could he connect me with a sales associate to complete my order. During the initial call, I insisted that I would be paying for the car in full and did NOT want to deal with any sales B.S. (high pressure, special deals, incentives, etc.). Mike chuckled, and agreed advising me to come in, take a drive in a comparable model, and that he would personally price the car after it was optioned out. At which point, he thanked me for my time and advised me that a suitable sales associate would be contacting me shortly.20 minutes later, I received a call from my would-be sales associate (Justin Stubblefield). He took my order, at which point I agreed to come in and drive / see final pricing. It is important to note that it being close to 5:00pm (standard quitting time for Justin) he was more than willing to stick around to service my request (as I had a 25 minute drive and very little free time to make the drive out to the dealership). Obviously, this was much appreciated.After a quick drive around the block, Justin and I were back at his desk getting a car speced out to my exacting specifications and arriving at a final sale price (as well as getting a trade value on my 2006 explorer). At no point in time did I feel pressured to do anything I didnt want to (re: finance, lease). The final price for the delivered automobile was given to me within 2 hours of starting the whole process.**I must add, I was quite shocked at this point to find out how little margin there is on these cars. I had expected somewhere from 10-13 points and that is simply not the case anymore due to bmws unlimited service (vehicles are sold at razor thin margins, and the dealer makes $$ performing the service back charging BMW). I was somewhat taken aback by this (prior to knowing why the margins were so low) and informed Justin that I was intent on shopping around given how little was being knocked off of the car. While I wont go into the specifics of my deal suffice to say, I was a little expecting more off. While this is neither here nor there in terms of the quality of the dealership, it is important to note when shopping.**The next afternoon led me to contacting 6 other dealers in a semi local area with the same vehicle requirements informing them that I was shopping them and to shoot me their best price. Everyone came back within 200 dollars of each other.Needless to say, I was back at Schererville BMW a week after starting the process. After a final test drive, we modified a vehicle that was in the build queue (and yet unclaimed) thereby reducing my wait time considerably. The wait time between ordering / production / delivery is nearly unbearable due to the anticipation be forewarned.During the purchase I had some requirements which pertained to how the car was to be prepared lack of adherence to them (unbeknownst to anyone at BMW Schererville) would have resulted in a refusal of delivery and an, obviously, awkward situation. I was elated to find that the vehicle was prepared exactly as I had instructed when I came to collect it. *Yup.. I get all Rain-Man when it comes to detailing my car*During the pickup of the car, I had the pleasure of chatting with Berto Soria about odds and ends as it related to my car (was it safe to wax immediately, what were good recommended aftermarket exhaust systems, what to do for winter wheels, and the current state of BMWs relationship with dinan). Having him take the time to answer my, obviously, newcomer questions was greatly appreciated. Having had a few weeks with the car, and the time to have the experience wash over me I must say that the whole experience was extremely positive. I would recommend BMW of Schererville with the utmost confidence to anyone in the Chicagoland / NWI area. Justin, Mike, and Berto were consummate professionals and a pleasure to deal with. However, I went because I had always had an interest in owning one and figured I could at least get an idea of where I needed to be at before that could happen.Little did I know what was in store for me. Chris immediately found more options that I could afford than I ever thought possible. I was able to get the information I needed on each vehicle, and by sharing some dialogue about what my needs were in a vehicle, Chris helped me narrow down the choices to a smaller, more-manageable sample size.I was still a bit nervous because I was unsure what the impact on my insurance would be by purchasing one of said vehicles, but I was not met with pressure or urgency when I brought this up. I was able to, hassle-free, return home and do a bit of due diligence to make extra sure that this was the right decision for me. I have been looking for a BMW for several months and while searching the internet was impressed with the volume of cars available at this dealership and their competitive pricing - I ended up driving from the suburbs of Chicago to check it out and was not disappointed. From start to finish the process was painless - while searching the internet an online sales rep took my information down and started sorting through the cars available in my price range. I received a call from the dealership in a timely manner and was never made to feel uncomfortable - they worked with my busy schedule to make sure when I did come by it would be as productive as possible. I was greeted by Tommy, who did a great job sorting through the available cars and he figured out quickly what exactly I was looking for. We didn't waste any time on cars outside my price range or those I was not impressed with. He understood where I was coming from and was very professional - he made me feel comfortable about everything and in the end I left with my new BMW because of him. I worked with Gina who did a nice job explaining the financial parts of the transaction - and she was very honest and if she didn't know the answer to a question I had, she knew exactly where to go to get that answer. I can't forget about William, he did an excellent job getting me acquainted with my new car - answered all my questions and made sure I was all set to experience all my BMW has to offer. I drove from Indianapolis to purchase a 2005 X3. I talked with the sales people online and on the phone for a few days and told them I would arrive on Saturday to look at the car. I emailed late Friday night and received an email Saturday morning while driving to Scherrillville indicating they were going to put the car in the back for me. Upon my arrival they indicated they had just sold the car. I worked initially with Jim the floor manager and told him I specifically was looking for the X3 and the price point. He along with Russ were able to show me a 2007 X3 with fewer miles and the cold weather package (which the 05 did not have). The car its self was great. I was a little dissapointed they had sold the 05, however was glad they were working hard for my business. I believe we were able to negotiate a good price for the car and felt that Russ and Jim were working hard to work with me as they understood that I drove a long way to come to their dealership when I have an option in Indianapolis. After talking with Russ for a few hours, one salesman asked if the car was sold, and we were very close to deciding and Russ said maybe. The other salesman said, it either is or it isnt, because I can sell it right now. Russ said this was the same salesman who sold the 05 X3, at that point I decided to purchase the 07. If this was part of the "game" dealers play I was very unimpressed that they would do a move like that, and if it wasn't the dealerships general philosophy then I think the one salesmen fit the "used car saleman stereotype" and was very disapointed because Russ was doing a great job. It was unnecessary and I think Russ was bothered by it as well. I wish had the other salesman's name as I would never recommend buying a car from him specifically, however my experience with Russ and Jim was great. I had some issues with a loose front bumper about a week after I purchased the car, and the dealership repaired it with no charge as the dealership did work on the front bumper before they sold it to me, and it is possible that something was just not fully tightened on the front bumper.Overall, I had a positive experience with Russ and Jim. They worked hard and are laid back and up front. I was not interested in haggling with them and respected the fact that they are there to run a business but I also wanted the best deal possible and believe we were able to work together in our deal.

I traded in my used 2006 BMW 325i for a 2008 BMW 328i. Neil worked with me to make sure that I got extended warranty and maintenance. He was not pushy and consistently asked if I was comfortable or if I needed anything. He thoroughly explained my options and gave me a great deal on my trade in. The ladies in the Finance department clearly explained my options and were very patient with me. Neil made sure that I was comfortable with the decision I was making. I was driving by one of the best looking car dealerships I had ever saw. Understanding that it was a BMW dealership I thought it was supposed to look this way. I observed numerous attractive used vehicles up front of the property. I have been looking to get myself an upgraded auto and decided to stop by. I'm not in the "BMW" world and wanted to see what kind of impression I would receive. I've been shopping for several weeks and have been to numerous auto dealerships. I've bought several vehicles for my kids at a lot of places over the last five years. Being "dad" everyone drives a better car than me. One has a Nissan Murano, one has a Chevy Trailblazer, another a Jeep (all loaded), and what does dad drive- a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus with 130,000 miles on it. Yeah I know. I pulled up expecting sour faces, boy was I wrong! I was greeted by Glenn Green with an authentic greeting and a "what can I do for you attitude". I explained to him what I was looking for and he showed me what "I" wanted not what "he" wanted. Very refreshing! I was looking small, not knowing why probably mileage reasons, but he was patient with me. I'm 6-2/220 and I think he noticed I was uncomfortable with my selections and he mentioned that they just got a cherry Ford Exployer in as a trade in with 30,000 miles on it with a six. I sat in it and knew I wanted it. Needless to say I got a great experience from the gm Jim Logis and a great deal. I'm happy and plan on telling all my friends about it.

My wife left for work and then called me via cell to say that the "Check Coolant" light came on. I told her to bring it back home and take my car. Since the car was just due for service and i intended to make an appointment soon anyway, i thought it would be good to bring up the coolant level problem. i called Kristy and asked her if I could bring the car in that same day - she replied, "Sure - bring it over. CAn you leave it?" I said that I could leave it if I could get a ride home from a dealer porter - no problem. When I arrived at the dealership, Kristy was busy with another customer, but another service writer picked right up on it and processed my car (Kristy had already entered all of the pertinent information into the system). Got a free ride home from a very nice porter. A couple of hours later I got a call that the radiator was damaged and would have to be replaced. I didn't need the car until late in the day anyway, and the tech replaced the radiator under the Certified Pre-Owned Warranty. When I picked the car up that night, it was washed and clean.Just as a camparison, I took my Toyota 4Runner in for a recall on the floormats earlier this week. I stopped in the day previous to clear everything for the next day - I decided to get the car a 5,000 mile check as long as I was bringing it in for the recall. I got an e-mail that night about the appointment on my Highlander. I had to wait around in the service area for quite a while and wound up with another service writer to whom I had to explain everything again. He called wanting to replace my cabin filter for $65 including $30 labor - too much! I had to ask about the recall and he said, "Oh yeah, we fixed that." They washed the vehicle, but didn't even sweep out the inside (and the recall notice said that they would shampoo my mats). Quite different from BMW of Schererville, and the two dealerships are about three miles apart in distance - but about 100 in service!

When we decided it was time for a new vehicle we drove just about everything, including a BMW. Glenn Green was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the X3 we were interested in. We went back 3 times to test drive, just to be sure it was the vehicle we wanted. They have redefined service for me to the point I wouldnt even comparison shop anymore.
