First time BMW experience ( 320 i ) and let me tell you, it could not have been a more pleasant experience. Lisa Robinson ROCKS !!! I came in with high expectations and all my expectations were met and then some. Lisa is very knowledgeable and extremely thourough in every aspect of the car buying experience. I recently experienced a tire failure on my BMW. Moreover, I was visiting the Medical Center late in the afternoon when the problem surfaced. I called BMW Roadside Service, and they were quick to dispatch a tow truck. Excellent! I anticipated a problem in arranging for a loaner from BMWSA on short notice, and very near the Center's closing time...not to mention rush hour traffic. I called Lou Gatti (Svc. Mgr) for help. Without fail or hesitation, Lou arranged for the delivery of a loaner to my location. Exemplary!! Thank you Lou, and also thanks to your staff who made all this happen. My husband and I recently purchased our second BMW on (8/30/2016). Jay Cruz was our advisor and I have to say that he could not have been more pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and efficient! This was hands down the most stress-free car buying experience we have ever had. Jay was on top of his game no matter what questions we had. Our car had a slight problem we noticed after driving it home 170 miles away and Jay responded immediately and advised us how to handle getting it serviced at home (which was corrected promptly). He then followed up to ensure the problem was addressed. I would highly recommended Jay Cruz to anyone looking to purchase a BMW. I will confidently recommend this dealership to all my friends. Ricky Barrow, my service advisor made this experience a very positive one from beginning the end. He was very professional, personable, paid attention to every detail, communicated well. He facilitated the repairs by proficiently dealing with my extended warranty company. The location is less than desirable/accessible and the receptionist appeared less than competent (hung up on me the first time I called, and asked the same questions already answered). However, the customer service received from Ricky and the quick turn around on the repairs made up for the inconvenience. As far as the completed repairs, I am unable to confirm or deny the quality of workmanship....only time will tell.

I was debating whether to use the BMW dealer in San Antonio or Austin as I reside in an area somewhere in between the 2 locations. Decided to try San Antonio first and I am absolutely thrilled with my service experience. My service advisor and assistant manager RICKY BARROW, was by far the most professional advisor I have encountered yet. I have owned BMW vehicles since the 1980s and resided in California and Oregon. Though I have overall been pleased with the past experiences, some aspects were lacking. Ricky was very professional, detail oriented with great communication skills. He facilitated the repairs and was a great liaison between the service department and my extended warranty company.The repairs were completed in a timely manner and the I was provided with a brand new loaner vehicle. Little details (such as my garage door remote being left in the loaner vehicle, small error on the invoice) were not missed but addressed quickly and efficiently. My vehicle was spotless and immaculate when it was ready to be picked up and the wait time was reasonable. This dealership is well represented by their employees who strive to make the experience flawless and deliver quality service, Mr Barrow being the prime example.I will confidently recommend this dealership to all my friends. If I could change anything about this dealership, it would be the physical location for easier accessibility. The quality of repairs will be determined by time.

How often is a car buying experience quick? Or fair? We had exactly that happen at BMW of San Antonio with our sales person, Biju Pillai. We flew in from out of state, having located a used Mustang at BMW of San Antonio on Cars.com. We ran a little late for our appointment with Biju, but he quickly finished with another customer, took us for a test drive, and answered all of our questions.He brought us cold waters to his desk and we were able to strike a very fair deal within 30 minutes. After meeting with the finance manager, we were told that our car would be serviced to our agreement before we came back to pick it up.We came on Monday with a very happy teenager, and picked up his awesome car. The whole process was as simple as it could be, and we are all delighted.We would definitely do business with Biju Pillai and BMW of San Antonio again, and will recommend them to our friends.

Sales person ran my husbands credit report and came back with a 0 down, only $371 a month payment... the sales person calls my husband to tell him that the vehicle had a recall for the airbag and that it to be fixed and if it was ok to get the car in the afternoon. A couple of hours later salesman calls and says the car is not approved...!!???

Best car buying experience ever! Jackie and Jerry A. were extremely courteous and knowledgable. Would highly recommend BMW of San Antonio. I was very pleasantly surprised. And I love my new car!!! BTW - someone posted you have to look the part or you'll get no attention... My husband and I walked in in our most casual clothes, we weren't even planning on car shopping and there was no judgement at all. I think the staff is great... and p.s. I hate car shopping. This was a terrific experience.

Arrived at the BMW of San Antonio at about 9:30am to look for a used car. Walked around show room for about 10 minutes, never received one greeting. Finally went to the front desk and asked for a salesperson. Was introduced to sales person and she did not look happy that i was shopping for a used car. Asked about a 2012 VW Passat and a 2013 Volvo S60 T5. After briefly discussing my wants, she said she would have to look for the vehicles as she wasn't sure where they were. After sitting around until 11am, she said she could not locate the vehicles and that the person that knew where said vehicles were located was "busy". She asked if I could come back after 2pm and that she would have cars ready for my viewing. She took my number down and said she would call me if she found vehicles any sooner. Two minutes later while I was pulling out of BMW, I see my sales person with another customer. I text her at about 2pm to find out if she had located the vehicles and her response to me was, "I'm currently with a customer, I haven't had the chance to look." Guess used car sales aren't the thing at BMW San Antonio. Oh well. I'm enjoying my 2013 BMW 328 XI that I purchased from another dealership that had the time of day for me.

Called BMW of San Antonio to ask questions about recall service. Person that answered phone could not answer my question and told me that service manager would call back. Two days later no call back. To be fair, this is my fifth BMW and I have had my cars serviced there with good results. The problem has been consistently not getting call backs when I am told I will receive a call even to schedule repair appointments. Part of the satisfaction of owning a BMW is receiving good service which is partly lacking here. Called BMW in Austin and received a call within an hour.

"I'm just window shopping" That was my response when Mr. Biju Pillai approached me at BMW of San Antonio to ask what had caught my eye. I was looking at SUV's. At the time my current vehicle was getting old and up there in the milage department. Biju was polite and friendly and took the time to talk to me about what I was in the market for. I was still, "just window shopping". Then he brought my attention to a beautiful Space Grey X3, it had all the bells and whistles that I was looking for. And it was a few thousand dollars less in cost than the original vehicle on which I had my heart set. We had only to take it for a test drive and I was captivated. But, remember, I was just window shopping. I had been toying with the idea of trading in my car and getting into something newer and a little prettier. Biju seemed to have read my mind. He walked me through the buying process as thought he was teaching me the steps of a dance. It was fun and exciting and a little bit nerve wracking! Was I really about to take the plunge? After all, I was just window shopping. Biju articulated the value and aesthetics of this beautiful machine with such a strong sentiment, that I became a convert. So on a somewhat lazy Saturday afternoon, I had the best experience in purchasing a vehicle. The entire team was courteous and wonderful, but it was Biju that went the extra distance to make sure that I left happy. On a somewhat lazy Saturday afternoon, when I was just window shopping, I ended my day with a drive home in my BMW X3!

Having purchased quite a few vehicles over my life, I have to say this experience exceeded every expectation. Within 30 minutes of the time I emailed the dealership,inquiring about a car that had been advertised, I was sent an email back, plus received a personal call from Joshua Green, sales consultant. I set up a time later in the day to view the vehicle and was promptly met at the door by Joshua with the car I was inquiring about having already been moved up front as well. He took me on a test drive and went over all details of the vehicle plus took the time to view several other vehicles I was interested in. Unlike a lot of other dealerships, their pricing was straight forward without a bunch of hidden cost which added to the enjoyment of the entire experience. Needless to say, I purchased the vehicle, but want to give a big thank you to Joshua Green, Taylor (sales manager) and Linda Smith (finance manager) and the shop crew that cleaned and serviced the vehicle, for making the entire experience seamless.

In my 30 years of buying cars, this had to be one of the best, if not the best buying experience ever. A big thanks to Joshua Green, sales consultant, walking me thru the options and knowledge of the vehicle. Usually I buy new, but Josh explained the advantages in purchasing a CPO. Additionally, this dealership didn't try to add any other overhead cost that so many dealers try to force upon you. The 3 hour drive to buy there was well worth it.

I have an older vehicle (2001) so it is expected that periodically there will be issues. When I first brought the car in, several parts needed replacing, one of which was the general control module. The quality of workmanship was very good in my opinion, however, I was not consulted about the programming of the control module. As a result, there were a number of things I wanted programmed differently. A couple of examples include whether I wanted the windows to work automatically, whether I wanted daytime running lights to come on when the car was started, etc. My service advisor (Courtney) and the technician (Greg) have been very patient and responsive to going back and making things right. I do wish that we could have all been saved time by having a process in place to either copy the settings of the old control module (if possible) or provide the customer with a check-sheet of preferences to fill out which the technician could have gone by. On a very positive note, the technician is now working very diligently on some troubleshooting before he replaces a part (the alarm) that may not need replacing. I greatly appreciate that time and effort to save me money! Overall, each time a new issue has popped up on my vehicle, and there have been a few new items since the first visit, Courtney has been most helpful and responsive. My last observation is that I am not convinced there is a quality control process in place. One example of that is when I picked up the car the first time, the Service Engine Soon light was on and it had not been on when I dropped off the car. It seems to me someone should have already noticed that before returning the car to me. Even the guy who brought the car up front to return it to me if nobody before him had noticed. Just to be clear, I am not trying to say I think anyone there did anything to cause it to come on; just that somebody should have noticed it came on while the car was still in the care of the service department. Would have given 5 stars for overall rating and quality of work if I would have had input to the general control module programming settings and seen more evidence of a quality control process at the end of the repairs. As a service advisor, Courtney has been outstanding!

Note to Deisel owners, ensure the service department has someone knowledgeable about diagnosic of a Deisel engine. I was browsing cars.com for a used Porsche 911, and spotted the car that I now own. I thought the price was a typo, as it was over $12,000 less than anything I could find locally in NC, and several thousand dollars nationally. I sent an Inquiry to the dealership, but decided to follow up with a call a few minutes later, and was fortunate to reach Josh Barraza, who confirmed the price, and availability of the car. Josh was super easy to work with, and it was quite refreshing to not have a sales person hound me, after first contact. On the contrary, I was the one calling and texting Josh daily, before deciding to go ahead with the purchase, and after, with follow up questions. He was very patient, and thorough, even going out in the rain to take pictures of all the tires, and followed up by getting the actual tread depth of each tire. I flew to San Antonio to pick up the car, and drive it back home, and whatever trepidation I had, that there would be something wrong with the car was immediately gone, when I saw it, and opened the door to what still smelled like a new car. A quick trip to the business office to meet with Mr. Bob Bristol, and I was out the door. Kudos to Mr. Bristol, for none of the hard sell of aftermarket warranties, or tire protection, etc. I simply said "no thanks", and that was it. I purchased a new 2016 535i BMW and saw condensation in both headlights after a heavy down pour of rain, the same day of purchase. Additionally, there was obvious burnt smell. I recently visited this dealership because They had a used vehicle I fell in love with.First, I am a young looking 31 year old woman. So, the salesman spoke to my mom directly even though we both corrected him several times.Also, there was 2 paint issues on the car that they did not disclose online and would not compromise AT ALL to fix. Lastly, they are only interested in going through BMW financial and I mentioned my credit union and personal bank several times and the salesman attempted to talk me out of financing anywhere else. When he gave me prices after running my credit it was only from bmw financial. I knew my credit union would give me a better interest rate but was not given an option to go that route. Instead I was told they would have to put the car back up for sale. If you want options and to not be treated like a customer wasting their time then don't go here. BMW financial is the highest APR Option I've been quoted. And they say they sell the best cars then show you a car with a paint issue that would require repainting the entire front fender aand basically look at you like "what did you expect? You buy the car and that paint issue will be YOUR issue!"

I took my bmw 535i to have back brakes repaired as they were making a noise when brakes applied. Since I don't live in San Antonio, I had to trailer it into the service dept and couldn't find any parking and the service bays were all backed up. Over the next week, they replaced the brake pads, rotors, and sensor at $$$$ and I picked up the car the following Saturday. About two weeks later the car was making the same noise and was asked to bring it in and they would look at it. I trailered it in again this past week and they cannot hear the thumping noise from braking. It is frustrating not having a bmw dealership in San Angelo and having to trailer it to San Antonio and them not get it fixed correctly. It is also very hard to talk to anyone in the service department due to the volume of cars being serviced.

Be advised... If you are buying a new car this dealership is ok. But for service is my worst experience of all time. I exclusively drive bmw and had 6 BMWs. I took my car for a routine service and they found a "oil leak", they returned the car 1 week later with a "check engine" light on. 6 weeks later, and after changing multiple parts to "see what works" they returned the car. My advisor confessed that they sometimes can't handle complex M engines. They still charged me an absurd amount for all the labor and parts while they did their trial an error. I will never take my car here ever again. I will drive to Houson or Austin or ALASKA before I take my cars to this horrible place. Please review other people's comments before you here!

BMW cars drive great. But heaven help you when you have a service light come on because BMW San Antonio won't. We had a warning light come on our 2014 750Li that said our lighting system wasn't working properly. It indicated the car may not be safe to drive and to take it to the service center. When we called the service department they said they couldn't see the car for a month. You buy a new car and have a problem that is covered under warranty and you have to wait a month??? We asked to talk to a manager and they said we would get a call back. Guess what, no call! We tried to call back and the phone just went to voicemail. Finally my wife got angry, took the car there and waited until she could talk to the service manager. They finally agreed to look at the car and it was only a loose connection on the right headlight. Could have saved us a lot of aggravation by just looking at the car in the beginning. We like the way the BMW drives but will never buy another car from BMW San Antonio.

DO NOT purchase a BMW in San Antonio. You can NOT get this dealer to service your car without waiting a long time. I need to have the AC looked at (car has less than 13,000 miles) and I can not get an appointment with a loaner car until April and it is July. They said I could take the car in and maybe they could get to it in 3-5 days. To scheduled an oil change (no car loaner) I have to wait over 30 days for an appointment. Previously, I did a walk in oil change and I was there almost 2 hours more than they said it would take when I dropped off the car. Waiting area is not nice. I wish I never traded my Lexus for a BMW. San Antonio Infiniti dealer always had a loaner car for a simple oil change that week. Update to previous post:I took my car in on Tuesday morning for an oil change and the AC recharged and got it back on Saturday, Although, Ricky cares about his customers and tried to get to my car for service, this service department can not handle the volume of BMWS cars. I was informed they will be moving to a new location and I hope they fix the problem of not having enough service stalls to work on the volume of BMW cars in this area.KCarey

I scheduled an appointment on line one week in advance so I would not have to wait. I also stated I would drop my car off and pick it up the next day. Again, when I arrived I told the service gentlemen, I was dropping it off. He told me to have a seat and he would get a service rep to see me. After waiting for an hour, I finally asked why I was still waiting. No one seems to know what the heck was going on! THEN, they tried to charge me for a covered service. Please, please do not take your BMW to the San Antonio location! I will travel to Austin from now on! Unreal from a BMW service center. I will never go again.

I had the best experience from BMW of San Antonio. They took care of me from beginning to the end. I was searching for an X6 and I immediately found it on line at the San Antonio location on line. I was immediately contacted by Taylor and he provided me with all of the information on the X6. I decided to go and test drive the car even though I reside in the DFW area. I was in meetings all day in Corpus Christi, Tx and afterwards I decided to drive to San Antonio. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by Don. He was extremely courteous and friendly with a smile. He took me for a test drive and I was sold. This type of customer service is hard to find. I mean everyone was sincerely friendly. BMW of San Antonio exceeded all of my expectations. I have bought many cars over the years and several BMW's. It is very hard to find a knowledgeable, fair and customer oriented salesperson. Josh Barraza was all three. Most salespeople try to sell you what's on the lot and do not work with customers to truly understand our needs and desires in an automobile. Josh was very helpful from the beginning and had was very responsive throughout the entire process. I live in Houston and tried several local dealers and chose BMW of San Antonio because they valued me as a customer. Each person I dealt with was honest, fair and low pressure. I will continue to buy from them in the future. It is definitely worth the three hour drive. I have already recommended Josh to several people and will continue to do so.

My family and I currently live in DFW Metroplex (after living in San Antonio for 9 years). While living in San Antonio, we had purchased 3 BMW's from BMW of San Antonio between 2004-2011. After I came to my senses, I contacted Mr. Bob Bristol of BMW of San Antonio. I then felt immediately comfortable and we were able to "agree to a deal" in no time. In conclusion, I did my homework (as described above) with other dealerships and can honestly claim that BMW of San Antonio and Bob Bristol will continue to have my business no matter where I live. I purchased a BMW at BMW of San Antonio last month and found this dealership to be exceptional. I initially made contact through their website and received a reply from a sales agent, Frank Jiang, within an hour. I then set up a test drive for the upcoming weekend. Being my first BMW, I had emailed that I wanted to drive both the normal version and the diesel version, as well as see all of the three sport trim variants and the external colors. I also wanted to hear the sound system in a car with standard sound and one with upgraded sound. I am a fairly compulsive person and I know that this would take up a substantial amount of time but when I arrived Mr. Jiang had everything mapped out to maximize efficiency. Yet he allowed me as much time as I wanted so that I never felt rushed.At the end of the test drives we ended up deciding that placing an order was probably the best way to get a car with the options I wanted. When I got home I researched a fair market value for the car and proposed this offer via email. I always hate negotiating the purchase price of a car and try to do my homework to make a fair offer. Mr. Jiang responded within 24 hours and we had a deal.After signing the purchase order and placing a deposit, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much Mr. Jiang stayed involved. He sent me the official order that went to the BMW factory to verify the option list was accurate. He assisted me with getting set up on the BMW website so that I could then trace the car through its manufacture and shipping. Also, at least once a week, I received an e-mail from him to let me know of the car's status.The car arrived on a Thursday and we set up Saturday for the delivery. When I saw the car for the first time, it had just been recently tinted. I found a few tiny pinpoint bubbles in the tint on one window. Within an hour Mr. Jiang made arrangements so that the person that did the tinting was there and they replaced the tint on that window. I was amazed at how responsive they were to immediately correct this. For me, this was a very good sign of the quality and integrity of a dealership. When little things go wrong, which can always happen, how a company responds speaks volumes.One other pleasant surprise was signing ownership documents. I have been accustomed in other car dealerships to spending over an hour with someone that tries to talk me into extended warranties, etc. Then they fill out the documents there while I wait. At BMW of San Antonio, I was in and out in ten minutes. All the documents were filled out in advance as much as possible. The person asked me how long I plan to keep the car and I answered four years. He said if I was interested in an extended warranty they have those but the car warranty will cover me for the time I plan to own the car. Done. No hard sell. Just a quick offer of what was available.Since I took delivery, I have actually had two follow phone-calls and e-mails from Mr. Jiang to see how things were going and did I have any questions. I have purchased cars all my life and have never had a salesman follow through to this extent.In summary, I love this car. It is incredible. Purchasing it at BMW of San Antonio with Frank Jiang as my salesman was the most professional and exceptional experience I have ever had in buying a vehicle. I felt they treated me as if my time was valuable, were highly organized and professional, fair, responsive to making things right.I rarely write reviews ... only when things are really bad .. or really positive. I was looking for a nice gift for my wives birthday. For the last few years every time we are in Orange County, CA she has seen people driving the 650 convertible and said she wanted one of those. So I took her to BMW of San Antonio to look at them. We were greeted 10 feet in the door my Michael King. He then turned us on to Jeff Cartwright who spent a lot of his time letting us drive the 640 then the 650 and the the M6. It was an incredible experience. We decided on the M6. She got the convertible she wanted and I got the performance I wanted out of a car. Then Michael, Jeff and I sat down and started the negotiation on the car. It was pain free. They were more than fair on my trade in and there price for there car. Had to search the country and find the exact car she wanted. They found it and had it delivered to them. The car showed up at 5 pm on a Friday. By the time it went through make ready it was close to 7pm when we picked up. They were closing but once again Jeff took the time to show my wife all the Bells and Whistles the car had and how to use them. Needless to say it was late when we left. The car has a lot of Bells and Whistles Lol........ I would strongly recommend buying a BMW in San Antonio. They know how to take care of business. I will do business with them for years to come.

I was looking at a BMW in Austin and wasn't thrilled with the attitude I was getting, On a lark I looked on line at what BMW of San Antonio had and they had a couple of cars that were what I was looking for. I sent an email at 9:00 at night indicating a car of interest and by 10:00 Kevin Clarke sent me the info on the car and the "guaranteed price". The price was far better off the bat then what I was offered in Austin on a similar model. I was concerned this might be a used or demo car rather than new, and asked Kevin to call me in the morning. Right on time Kevin called and told me it was a new car and this was a "guaranteed" price. Not being familiar with the dealership I was still concerned about bait and switch - so I drove down there, Kevin showed me the car I wanted and said here is the price we promised you...we negotiated a bit on the trade as I expected we would, but they were reasonable and we made the deal - in out no hassles and they kept their word. Kevin was great to deal with, patient, thorough and when we were done spent a lot of time going over all the features etc. No hassles no problems, little pressure and a fair deal and great car buying experience. As I told them when leaving, will send my friends in Austin and Houston to San Antonio to see Kevin - well worth the drive and the experience. And ask for Kevin.

This was my first BMW, and first time looking at cars in 12 years. I had been dreading it, with the constant testing and looking for answers and number-haggling. But after research online, I found that the exact car I had built on the BMW website was right here on the lot of BMW of San Antonio. I filled out a form online, and was called back within the hour for a frank and open discussion of where I was financially and what I wanted to see. I made an appointment, drove to dealership, was met by Josh, and that same day I was driving home in my new car, with all my expectations exceeded. I purchased a Mini Cooper at this dealership in 2011 and it was recently time for a trade. I was interested in a BMW but a local dealership in Houston was not responding in a timely manner to my requests for information. I emailed BMW of SA and immediately got a call back from Michael King. He was very personable, helpful, and always called or emailed when he said he was going to. I not only find that amazing with a dealership, but amazing for anyone in general nowadays. I had everything worked out over the phone and email, and drove to San Antonio. They had my paperwork and deal done in under two hours. Kevin was my test drive salesman; he had a great sense of humor and was detailed in explaining the features of the vehicle. He even set up my Sirius service before I left. Everyone I met there is super nice, and I would highly recommend them. I was skeptic walking into the dealership because I never thought that the car that I saw online would be mine. I was a little upside down in my trade (Saab 97x 2006), however I mentioned that before I walked in and had it in my mind that there may be a negotiation with this end of the deal. Natalie greeted me with a very friendly Hello and a firm handshake which is ALWAYS a good thing for me when I am dealing in a professional situation.. We proceeded to sit at her desk for about 20 mins where we worked out specific details for the vehicles and she went to her manager Michale for approval. We went for a short test drive and I knew I was jumping with excitement inside but could NEVER let that be seen on the outside for fear of being too anxious for the sale. She came back to me, presented me the dealership deal with the financing that was in the ballpark of what I wanted to spend. I signed the deal, asked Michael to check on specific financing parameters (which they did) and I signed the deal, picked up the car in the next 3 days and Natalie and Frank Jiang were very informative when explining the nuances of the vehicle (which I still have not mastered>>>but it sure is fun learning) I truly appreciate their time, commitment to my needs and most of all commitment to the product they sell. I have owned many BMW's so when it was time for a new one I began looking online to save myself some time. I found the model, color and amenities I wanted on BMW of San Antonio's website. I did research on the fair price to pay and through their website was connected to Josh Barraza.I told Josh what I wanted and the price I needed to pay. (Car price haggling is one of my least favorite things to do - right next to root canal on the list.) First time ever at a BMW dealership, my Mercedes repairs bleeding me dry, a chance for them to shine and convert me! Instead, the salesman dragged us (in heels, tired from a day at work) across the street to the used car lot looking for two cars I said I had seen on their website. Turned out niether one was there, so a trek back to the main bldg and 10 min later revealed both had sold. Either know your inventory or look before you drag customers around the lot! To be fair, he found another model to look at and offered to bring it to the front door for a drive. But even though i said it was my first time driving a bimmer, he offered little in the way of technical info to this BMW newbie. Sadly, they are the only game in town for BMW. Best buying experience and transaction ever! Bought a 2001 Z3 online, sight unseen, the car exceeded my expectations. The internet sales team was helpful, professional and friendly, stayed in touch with me the whole time through transaction and after sale. I had been looking for sometime for the perfect car , and had gotten shafted out of several potential purchases d/t being an out of town sale. Josh was great and knew I was serious about the car , enough to give me the opportunity to buy it first, despite the distance factor. I am sure they had several inquiries on this car and could have made a local cash sale but they didn't. Michael was great in setting up financing and getting me the paperwork quickly . They even sent me a bottle of wine to celebrate receiving my new Z3! After shopping around for a new car, I just couldn't find a current design I liked better than what BMW offers. After inquiring about their internet pricing I was contacted by the SA Jeff Cartwright. We went back and forth a few times before he was able to get me a price I was happy with and I made my deposit, drove to San Antonio, and picked up the car. About a week after purchasing the car I noticed some paint defects in the front bumper. Called back my SA to see what we could do about it and drove the car back to the dealer. They were not able to fix the car to my satisfaction so I was a little irritated at this point. Thinking that my only option was to be one of those annoying causing a scene type customers that I refuse to be, I wasn't sure how to handle the situation. Then the car had a drivetrain malfunction. You have to keep in mind that the dealer doesn't make the car, they are only responsible for selling their inventory and supporting the product. I blame any and all problems on BMW, but having a quality dealer to work through the issues with is key to being happy with your purchase. Jeff and the rest of the team at BMW SA did an excellent job of bringing the car back in and getting the drivetrain malfunction resolved as well as doing an excellent job on the paint. I've never done automotive painting or paint repair myself, but I've worked plenty on modifying cars and being at body shops. I don't know how they did it, but they got rid of the pits in the paint and made it smooth and shiny like a new car. I'm very happy with the support this dealer provided and the attention that my SA, Jeff Cartwright, gave to the repair of this car. The rest of the staff I dealt with at BMW SA were also very attentive. Michael King, sales manager, Andrew Kim, Asst Service Manager, and Rodney Rice (dealership manager?). I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a BMW. Service was top notch and now that all of the issues with the vehicle have been resolved I couldn't be happier with it. If I remain in the same location then I'll definitely be using BMW San Antonio in the future. Hopefully you don't have any problems with the car, but if you do these guys will take care of you for sure.

Josh was our first point of contact and was very informative and helpful when we first went to look at the vehicle. since we weren't ready to buy just then the vehicle we went to look at sold, but Josh kept us abreast of their inventory and when we were ready helped us with a car that was actually a better deal than the one we first looked at. On the day we went in to make the purchase Josh was busy with another customer, but instead of making us wait he brought Tim to help us with the sale. Everything went very smoothly, all the paperwork was a breeze thanks to Craig and when the car was brought to us, Tim went over all the particulars and awesome features of the car. Took my wife's 2011 x3 in for 30k service. Was told by Mike Brehm that the tires were worn and needed replacement. I was quoted $1016, so I told him to have them replaced. He also informed me that the total service work would take 1.5 hours. The work took nearly 4 hours. Then came the billing. When I went to pay my bill for the tires, the total was suddenly $2026. They had misquoted by showing me the cost of only two tires. I expressed my anger over the mistake and offered no resolution. Several calls to Carlos Cervantes, the apparent service manager, have produced no acceptable results. I received one call from Carlos indicating that he would look into it and get right back to me. I entered the dealership and was greeted promptly by Jeff. I was very specific about two used cars which I wanted to compare with the intent to purchase one of them. He quickly brought both cars for me to view. I left the dealership with all my questions answered about both cars. I was provided the "best price" for the car I was most interested in purchasing. I live 200 miles away from this dealership. After making a deal on an 2012 BMW X5d CPO with the internet manager, and getting a detailed written confirmation from the internet sales rep that the car is in excellent condition, I made the trip to purchase the vehicle. To my surprise the car was not ready exterior was not washed nor detailed, dead bees I the crevices of the front headlight. Additionally, I discovered cuts and endentation in the rear door panels. The dealer claimed that they never noticed the door panel cuts. The internet manager promised to compensate me for my troubles by paying for my gas (but he never did), repair the door interior damage and deliver the vehicle to my resident for inspection (but he never did), swap the door panels from another vehicle (but could not locate a compatible vehicle). The dealer refused to pay to replace the panels, so I offered to pay for the parts and have the dealer install the door panels. After agreeing at a new purchase price with the additional panel costs the dealer backed off and refused to honor the agreed upon offer and refused to do the door panels' replacement. This dealer never delivered on any of the promises and handled the sale very unprofessionally! Never do business with this dealership.

I just purchased my 2nd new BMW in 3 months from San Antonio BMW and the experience was as rewarding as the 1st. After meeting Tim after my first purchase (he was not the salesman, but I met him on a follow up visit), he gave me his card to give him a call if I was "in the market" again. 3 months later, I happened to be in the market, I called him and he remembered me instantly. I scheduled an appointment with Tim for the next day. My wife and I arrived on time and he was ready. Not exactly sure what I was looking for, Tim provided a wide range of vehicles that were within my price range. He was very patient as we scoured the lot and settled on a beautiful 2013 328i. Being a little out of my price range, Tim "worked his magic" and presented a deal that was too good to resist. He did this on one visit to the "Manager", not 10 times of "how bout this price"? Throughout the event, Tim Navarrete was very patient, never pushy, and confident that he would get me in the car that I wanted. Extremely knowledgeable about all the entire BMW line, his passionfor the product and his job was evident. This is our 7th BMW we have owned dating back to our first, a 1990 530, and Tim was familiar with the options available on that one! His inherit knowledge of BMW's underscores his love (borderline obsession) for the Ultimate Driving Machine. This is the first time I had ever bought a car by searching the internet, email a request for more information, and asked for a good deal on the price of a Certified PreOwn 2012 BMW 528i. I have to say that is the best stressful free process I had ever had in purchasing a car from a dealer. Tim emailed me back the next day to confirm a price, I submitted the loan application on San Antonio BMW website, and he called me back with the details. I scheduled an appointment to pick the vehicle. When I arrived, the paperwork were ready for my signature and the vehicle had been washed and waxed. Tim even took the time to help familiarize myself with all of the functions and operations of the vehicle. The whole process was seamless and totally stress free. I was in and out of the dealer in about 2hrs, mostly because of the paperwork and agreement were done by email, text, and phone discussion. I had the best experience at the San Antonio BMW dealership than I have ever had in purchasing a vehicle at a dealership before and Tim did an excellent job with the customer service. As we know, BMW vehicles sell itself, but Tim and the San Antonio dealership makes the online selection & purchasing process a "BMW experience" to enjoy. The experience puts a whole new name in purchasing a BMW from the San Antonio dealership. It was, quite frankly, the "best"experience I have had in purchasing a vehicle. I'm still sharing the experience with my friends, family, and colleague months after taking delivery of the vehicle. I will definitely be back to purchase next BMW from the San Antonio dealership.

Took my X3 in because oil senor monitor was out and the fasten seatbelt light chimes and lights up even though all seat belts are fastened. They first had the car for 4 days and fixed the oil monitor. They said they couldn't get the seatbelt thing to reproduce. On the way home realized that the windshield wiper fluid was not working and low and behold the seatbelt chime starts in again. I took it back, this time they have it for 10 days. Fix the washer fluid sensor and said they couldn't get the seatbelt to reproduce. I drive my car home and the very next day the seatbelt chimes again. I understand that ever brand of car has issues. However, when you purchase a brand like BMW you expect a little more. I am a women and it is very frustrating when I am told the problem is the way I am driving the car. I'm sorry, I call BS. Really??? I have heard horror stories about the service department and almost didn't purchase the BMW because of the things I have heard about BMW San Antonio. But, I thought, how often will I have to deal with the service department... that was a joke. Now I see it first hand. I must say, Ivan was respectful and tried to help. After having the car for 10 days and it still not being fixed the service manager Chuck got involved. This guy does not need to be working in customer service. He was rude and got pretty nasty with me. He was respectful to my husband but not to a women. It was my daughter's 16th birthday and I wanted to surprise her with a new 2009 Mini Cooper. Our salesman (Alex) was great, he personally went out of his way to help me surprise my daughter by bringing her new Mini to our favorite restaurant with a big bow on the top of the car. This is where the positive experience ends! The first time my daughter had to bring her car in for her first free service they tried to talk her into buying a special oil additive; not trusting this, she called me and I told her definitely not! This happened numerous times when she would bring her car in for the free service. Once they even tried to charge her for new windshield wipers and when she stated that this was covered under the free warranty, they stated to her, "those are for the standard wipers, these are the ultimate wipers"! Well I'm glad my daughter listened to me over the years, because she laughed and told them, "I don't think so"! Another thing, the service department would always say they would call her when the car was ready to be picked up, but they would never call; she would always have to call them. Then when the car's warranty finally ran out the "brake service" light came on. My daughter called and made an appointment to have a complete diagnostic check done. She brought the car into service and talked to Benjamin. She instructed him not to make any repairs until they called her first. Well, of course they never called her and when she called them they said the car wouldn't be ready until 6:00 PM. When she arrived they told her all the problems with the car and that it was going to cost about $1800 to have everything fixed. They then asked her for authorization to make the repairs. She informed them that she didn't have that kind of money right now and didn't want to put it on a credit card; so she said she would bring the car back at a later date. Well she finally saved the money, made an appointment, and brought her Mini back to the dealer; again they (Benjamin) said he would call her when it was finished. After 5 hours, my daughter called and they said they didn't have the parts for the brake job! I couldn't believe it, a BMW/Mini dealer didn't have the parts for a simple brake job! On top of that, they never called her and told her this. It took 5 hours of the car sitting there at the dealership and then my daughter had to call them! She decided enough was enough; she took the car to "Brake Check" who had the parts and did the brake job in a little under 2 hours. I would not recommend this BMW/Mini dealer to anyone; especially the service department. However, is it worth it to have a pleasant sales experience and then find out that your service experiences will always be a nightmare!

The salesperson was extremely friendly when he was bargaining for my money, and applied pressure in a very "velvet hammer" sort of way. I allowed myself to be talked into a purchase (my baaaaad!!!); however, I did get what seemed like a fair deal. Linda Smith in finance was superb. While I cannot recommend the dealership based on my buying experience, I would say if you're going into this there anyway, have your wits about you. You will need all your stamina and clear-headedness so as not to be unduly persuaded. I have not used their service department yet; thankfully, this vehicle came with free maintenance for the duration of my lease. When the lease is over, I will take the car back and never get another - at least not there.

Easilly the worst experience I've ever had! Ultimate driving machine and Ultimate poor service. Took my car in because the convertible top wouldn't open on my 2001. Quoted $1,440.00 which included a complete car diagnostic costing an additional $200.00-$300.00. Said I had to have this before any work would be done but they would identify any issues with the car. Albert Zapata "Assistant Service Manager" said the car would be ready tomorrow and he would call. Next day no call so I called late in the day. He apologized for not calling and said things were just crazy and said I could pick it up the next day. Again he would call. The next day came and he called right about closing time to tell me the car was ready. "Impossible to get there before they closed". This was Saturday and they're closed Sunday so I went in on Monday. I paid my $1,440.00 for the repaired top and they pulled my car around. Instead of the courtesy wash there was a large amount of bird mess on the car. To make matters worse the car was making a strange sound that was not there prior to delivering the car to them. "I rationalized that sometimes these things happen". But then, I tried my automatic convertible top and it didn't work! Just froze and locked 1/4th of the way open. They took it to the back to fix the top and bird mess and when they brought it back and said it was fixed I tried it again and the same thing happend it just froze and whinned. The top didn't work. Now frustrated I also noticed They still failed to clean the bird mess off the car which can damage your paint if left too long. They called for the tech who said that he tested the top many times and it worked fine. They said my straps must have expanded while in their care. "Never an issue before". They offered to fix it and informed me that I would need to pay another $1,500.00 for these straps. To be fair they offered to split the cost but at this point with the poor service and poor workmanship I was not interested in investing another penny. They said the top was fixed and I paid them what they said I owed. It haden't even left the repair bay and I'm having all these issues. I should add that this car is in fairly good condition, kept in the garage most of it's life, and never abused. When I asked why the straps, strange noise, and now damaged covers "these too were working fine before bringing the car in" were not mentioned as part of the total diagnostic I paid $200.00-$300.00 for I was told the loud noise just bagan only now when I came to pick up the car because the tech did not hear the noise before now. I was told the straps must have just gone bad now and the covers which were working fine I'm told were now not working when the car arrived. I felt their only concern was how to get more money out of me. $1,440.00 spent and I had a non working top to show for it. They suggested I simply use my hand to help push it up and hold it with a little pressure for a minute or so. 2 or 3 were working on it to show me how simple and easy it was. Chuck stated "Well, it kinda works better than before". REALLY! That's what I can expect from BMW! A top that kinda works if I stick my hand out the window and hold it for a while! I still can't get the d_mn thing to work even when I try that uncomfortable thing with my hand they suggested! The car has more issues now then when I brought it in and I may be out $1,440.00. Their only resolution was that I now needed about another $4,000.00 worth of work. They offered to pay $2,000.00 but I would still have spent $3,440.00 for a 2001 convertible top that they said would be fixed for $1,400.00. I suggested they save us both some money by just replacing the straps because the tech said this was the only critical issue keeping the top from working. At $1,500.00 they would save $500.00 and I wouldn't be out any more money. They said No way. Basically the only way they would help make it right for me is if I spent some more of my hard earned money and lots of it. By this time I had lost all faith that they were even capable of doing a good job and fixing my top. I wouldn't have been suprised if they told me later some other part costing in the thousands would also be needed before the got it right. I love these cars as this is my second one. I was planning to sell some toys to purchase a newer M3 but, after this experience I not sure even the ultimate driving machine is worth how these people made me feel. Unappreciated, ignorant, and disrespected. You earn customers one at an time and you lose them one at a time.

Before the Service Advisor even knew why I was there, he had recommended $1800 worth of "recommended maintenance" like a Fuel Injection Flush etc. etc. Quick research shows many articles like this one. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=436767 This dealer is more interested in gouging the customer than what is needed for the car and customer service. I bought my car in Phoenix at Chapman BMW (excellent dealership by the way). I moved to Texas and have been forced to deal with BMW of San Antonio on two occasions now. My first problem I had a defect with the electrical system on my 2008 328ci and it was unsafe to drive. I tried to get them to tow it to the dealership, but it was "too far" for them to make the effort. Finally, the Phoenix dealership called and had it arranged. The second leap of faith was only a few short days ago when I ordered a performance part along with some other routine stuff to be done. Sure enough, when I drive 150 miles to come see them (they are the closest one, unfortunately) they "forgot to order the part." Their is a certain standard that BMW dealerships have set in my experience in the past... BMW of San Antonio is beyond sub-par.
