I found the 335i convertible BMW I was looking for at Monrovia BMW online.The purchase experience was not the best. The finance department had us waiting about 3hours. My husband was pre-approved 2.9% BMW financing 2days before the purchase; to ensure as smooth process with the purchase. This did not happen. I am happy to say that my post purchase experience was better. I had a problem with my car and Sean Ramezani was able to get my service concerns handled. Jerry, service manager was very pleasant and easy to work with.

I purchased a new 2013 128i convertible from BMW of Monrovia three years ago. The buying experience was painless. I knew exactly what I wanted and had it specially ordered. The internet salesperson, whose name I can't remember, was efficient and knowledgeable. There was no pressure to add on items. I've had this car serviced here as well as a 2003 Z4 I owned for 10 years. It's not the closest BMW dealer but I like their service. I've never had any repairs done, but they've done routine service in the time estimated. Prices are high once out of warranty, but that's true anywhere. They just rebuilt the dealership and it's state of the art. My only complaint is the idiotic post-service surveys I get both telephonically and by email They want to know if the oil change "greatly exceeded my expectations" or was "exceptional." I understand BMW of America rates dealers and expects top scores, but how can a simple oil change be "exceptional." Throw in a steak dinner, and that's exceptional. That's not the dealer's fault and many other owners complain of this. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this dealership and drive the extra miles because of it.

I'm a Jaguar Convertible Girl!! Only Red or Zircon Blue, only light interior! They are few and far between, but worth the hunt!I have had 5, but was not able to locate my gently used #6 anywhere in the USA, after aggressively looking for 3 months and wanting desperately to make a cash deal! Because I was interested in a Red Convertible on several sites, Cars.com sent me a snap of a cute little red number at BMW of Monrovia. I didn't know where Monrovia was, and have never wanted a BMW, but this Sassy Red 2015 hard top convertible looked classy and unique, only had 4,700 miles, was a 1 year lease return w/ a clean Carfax, and is CPO, so the warranty was transferable! AND was at the low end of my price range. I was mildly intrigued!I decided to email to get more details at about 8:30 on a Friday night. My Husband said, "you wont hear anything until Monday"!Ha! 10 minutes later, Jonathan Fairman, Internet Manager, called! The Hubbs was surprised and impressed!Jonathan was articulate, cheerful, knowledgeable and humorous as I explained what I was looking for, and that I don't particularly like BMW's. He told me a little about the Red 425i, and about the Sonic dealerships, and how they are revolutionizing the car buying experience with competitive no-haggle pricing on vehicles for sale and and trade ins. Jonathan answered my questions, and never pushed me to react about their car. I appreciated that, and since I liked his personality and attitude, I made an appointment to come to look at the Red Convertible on Saturday at noon. Jonathan said he would park the car in front of the dealership, so I would be able to see it when we drove up. That was nice, since one of the reasons I told him I have driven a Jaguar convertible for the last 20 years is that I like to stand out in a crowd, and there are so few of them on the road! Unlike BMW, MBZ etc, which are ubiquitous here in SoCal, and basically all look alike to me! When we arrived, Jonathan warmly greeted by name! He was nicely dressed, professional and personable in an unforced, sincere manor! He was very helpful, patient, never pushy. Jonathan knew all the basics about the car, and the specifics of the history of this car. Any time I asked a question he wasn't sure about, he never tried to "snow me", but said, we'll ask "The Genius"! (That's what they call the person who knows how everything works on the car) My Husband and I were equally impressed with the car, and all it's bells and whistles, and with Jonathan and The Genius (so sorry, that's what we called him and I have forgotten his name). I decided to go for it! We were then escorted to the Finance Guy, Dave, who was also knowledgeable and patient as he explained why we had to go through the finance manager even though we were writing a check.Dave also told us how the contracts and warranty work. After a 45 minute wait, and an hour with Dave, we were in the parking lot, sitting in the shiny "new" car, getting further operating instructions from The Genius, and a 2nd Genius! Jonathan was there too, and they all made sure we know how to drive the car, put in gas, sinc our phones, work the top and windows, etc. Overall, our Sonic BMW of Monrovia dealership experience was great! We would highly recommend them. Especially Jonathan, The Genius and Dave, all of whom treated us very well. Their entire team was friendly and nice. Throughout the 8.5 hours we were there, several employees came over to chat with us while we were waiting and offered us coffee/water, etc. Nice!Both the newly completed BMW showroom and the cool looking Mini showroom were modern, clean and beautiful. The ONLY negative for us was that it was a very long day, and there were no snacks or munchies except for popcorn, apples, coffee drinks & water. (We're admittedly spoiled by MBZ and Jaguar dealerships with their wide array of drinks, soups, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola bars, nuts, fresh bakery goodies, sandwiches, etc).

Approached us as we were looking and asked if we were looking for a certain car i let him know i was looking for a 328i that i saw on the cars app we found it and he let me test drive asked my opinion and saw that i wasnt happy with the car we talked for a few hours and not a single second from those 5 hours did i feel pressured or overwhelmed to purchase a car, i just gained alot of info on what car i was looking for exactly. He let me test drive a 335i and i fell in love with it. Sadly i did not purchase a vehicle from him as it didnt have all the features i wanted but he did help me decide on buying a 335i. I recently leased my very first bimmer through BMW of Monrovia. I?m a techy shopper (getting deals all worked out via web sites, emails, texts, and phone calls prior to heading out to the actual dealership) and I do not interact with ?traditional? floor sales people so this review is on Monrovia?s Internet Sales Department. Like many other dealers? internet sales department no pressure what so ever and very pleasant to work with. This is reason why I only deal with internet sales people at dealerships because they don?t use high pressure sales tactics on you. If you are also a techy shopper like myself, contact Joseph (or Marlana, she was assisting him with follow ups and so forth) for best possible deals out there. Joseph was willing to listen to my needs and requests to work on a very VERY aggressive deal for me. When I arrived at the dealership, all the paperwork was ready as well as the car. Signing process was done in 20 minutes and I was in my new 340i heading back home in no time. I really love this car and Joseph really made my BMW shopping experience a top-notch. Although it is a bit of drive from where I live, I have no doubt Joseph will be my first contact to inquire about my next BMW once this lease is over.

They have the worst service ever. Horrible and failed communication. this has been the most dreadful experience with a car dealership ever. I would never recommend or suggest them business at all. I purchased my BMW at a different dealership, but BMW of Monrovia definitely left a permanent stain to tarnish a historic luxury brand car company.

My service advisor called me and left me voicemail telling me to bring back the loaner car and my car is already finished after one week of repair, but for the fact that I already have my car in my possession and of course returning the loaner car. its very degrading to leave a message stating that "IF YOU DONT BRING THE CAR ASAP WE WILL CHARGE YOU A FEE!". I talked to the service manager regarding this and he apologized but no follow-up for letting me know that it was address to the right person. I should be treated right. When I came to drop off my vehicle it seems like I'm not welcome and my advisor didn't even know that I need a loaner which in fact I waited for almost a month to have my appointment because of the loaner car. When I was asked if I have another car to use if there's no loaner car is available, is that appropriate? My car was service because there is something wrong with my gas tank which is for what the car worth I should not have this problem, right and then treating me like this that's another thing.

Poor Customer Service
Bought a certified BMW I saw on the Internet. Went to test drive the vehicle only to find a salesman sitting on it talking to customers. I was pre-approved through my credit union but talked to three different people who were trying to have me finance with them. Each time offering me something more than the last time. Car had a smokers package but was told no one smoked in it. After I got the car home (it was delivered to me out of state 5 days later) and ran the ac for a wile, car had stale cigarette smell. Charged me $550 to ship the car to AZ so I asked 2 different people if there was any wiggle room in the charge. Was told no because it was a third party. The shipping company charged the dealership $200. No explanation why they charged extra. Car was delivered with transmission fluid all over top, hood, passenger door and quarter panel due to car above on transport. Email sent to Internet sales, General Mgr., Sales Mgr. and got no response from anyone. Filled out the BMW survey and was finally contacted by a customer service rep at the dealership. She said she would look into all my issues and call back. Still waiting after three days.

Construction Doesn't Obstruct Good Service
The place is in construction making it really tough to find a place to park. Otherwise, it was very clean and nice and the process was made pretty easy since I had arranged everything ahead of time. I appreciate that everyone took the time to answer questions, but also they got everything necessary ahead of time to expedite the process.

We Brought in 2 of our BMW's . My daughter got to bring her's back home as it read she did not have to come in for a service yet. Honest and Friendly is Tim Chen. I was told it would take about an hour and a half so i decided to wait and take advantage of the delicious coffee bar and watch some morning TV. I was told an hour later my car was done. Poor communications
My engine light went on so I wanted to make a service appointment. I called and the switch board sent me to the service department and I got voice mail and left a message and the recording said they would call back. Three hours latter I called the service department directly and got voice mail and left another message. I called back again and left a voice mail. The next day (Fri) I called and got the service department's voice mail so I dailed 0 and the operator said she would walk over and give them my message. She switched me to service and I made the appointment for 11:20 am the same day. The service rep-Brooke-said they would do the 25,000 check up at the same time and it would probably be ready today and she would call me. No call so I call at 4:50 and couldn't get anyone in service or Brooke. I called 3 times on Sat and kept getting the service voice mail so I dailed 0 at 4:50 pm and the person said that the service department closes at 4:00 on Sat. even through the recording on the 0 says they are open until 5:00 on Sat. On Sun I called service several times and got a recording and dailed 0 and he said service is closed on Sun and no one has the key to get my car. On Mon I called and got voice mail from service and Brooke. Ten minutes later service called and said my car was ready but they couldn't take care of the service light because the problem part is on back order but that the car was no problem. Now I have to bring it back again for the back order part.POOR, POOR COMMUNICATION.

i was unable to get in contact with the service department. i had a flat tire and i called bmw monrovia at 7:20 am. the phone call went straight to voice mail. i left a message. i never received a call back. i called again at 9:20am and spoke to the operator. I was told that someone would call me back. i never received a call backI drove into the dealership without a appointmentHowever Greg Hernandez was excellent. He helped me out as soon as I was there. I got the flat tire fixed in one hour. I like Greg. I don't like BMW Monrovia

First Oil Change
Disclaimer: I visited the dealership on the first major rainy day of the El Nino season.Regardless of the rain, the service and location was not very good. The dealership is under construction and cannot handle the volume of customers they accepted into the service department that day.Being this was the first time I was there for service, I expected some sort of welcoming information, but got none of that. It was just hello Mr. Files, sit there Mr. Files, your car is ready Mr. Files, Good bye Mr. Files. The oil change took nearly two hours, and the dealership was not close by to warrant shuttling back and forth to work. No loaner was offered, despite what sales people said and my car's settings were tampered with so that my displays were no longer the same on the dashboard.Just based on the construction alone I would tell everyone to stay away! Maybe it wasn't there best day, and maybe things will be better when construction is done, but I can't recommend the service center based on my experience.

I feel I have had a lifetime of difficult experiences with dealerships and the car buying process. To avoid this of recent times I've bought the advertised special to minimize the hassles.So after reading most the comments about 'BMW of Monrovia' I was reluctant to even consider dealing with them.But they did have a few cars I was interested in looking at and had a trip planed in that area.To my suprise I had a very good experience with everyone there and bought a car.The sales man Tony Froussine was just straight friendly and helpful the whole way. I would work with him when my family next need to buy a car. He explained the Sonic pricing that they have, you have to go with that system there, hey as long as the price is right!He walked around the cars with me talked about what I wanted and explained things in detail when required.After leaving it for a few days I contacted Tony and asked him to arrange for a purchase.He worked everything out before I got back to the dealership to make the process smoother, he when out of his way to make things happen easy.Then Tony took me to the 'Financial guy' always the dealership 'heavy' in my experience. So I was ready - but this guy Oliver was the nicest guy I could have met no kidding. No finance or warranty bull no pushing things I don't want or any extras like magic spays etc. He just wanted to be genuinely pleasant, helpful and move the process along while covering everything with me, so professional. Not at all what I have ever had to deal with in the past.Oh and when ever I was asked to wait somewhere I was asked endlessly by staff passing by if was being helped or if I needed anything etc.So Take these comments for what there worth and go work with Tony Froussine.

Went in for my first service this past Saturday. I told Patrick, my service adviser, that I was in a tight schedule due to something unexpected happened. He assured me that he would do all he could to get me out as soon as possible. It was a busy Saturday considering it's the Saturday before Christmas and everyone wanted to get their car serviced that day. It took just a little bit over an hour and I was a happy customer!Oh, Patrick also helped me with my key issue and I am so glad that he was able to have it replaced. Well maybe it's just me? Change the oil/spark plugs/air filter, etc. for $800-900? Slight coolant leak... new water pump/thermostat another $1200. New fan belt. Total when finished: $2100. Called an independent... new water pump installed: $550. Figured everything would run about half the price. Live and learn.

I had an amazing experience here! The dealers here are not pushy at all and they are willing to help you out in any way. I worked with Sam here and he was amazing! He was very attentive to my needs in terms of budget, design of the car and the amount of driving. I never had any pesky phone calls doing a 'follow-up' and I was never offered/forced to possibly lease/buy a car. When I was here they had the Koji taco truck which was cool. Everyone here was very friendly and they made you feel at home.

I scheduled a needed service for my mini, not knowing the outcome.It took almost two days to get it back in full gear, thanks to the senior service advisor, Patrick Kennedy, who was assigned to me. Patrick took the time to walk me through the Monrovia process with great patience and explained what was covered under warranty and how much certain parts would be. I can't tell all of you, how relieved I am to finally find a Mini Cooper service that I can rely on without hesitation. Patrick, with sincerity, said to call him whenever I have a question or if there are any future issues. I am the kind of person who appreciates this first time experience, and will return to Mini of Monrovia as a loyal customer for continued service.
noise diagnosis
I left the my mini coutryman there for 2 weeks for some noise diaganosis. it was found to be the transfer case problem. luckly the car still has a manufacture warranty. Patrick was my service adviser. he is well informed & helpful.

Dirty, incomplete, no loan/rental car, overpriced
My water pump belt snapped, causing the radiator on my BMW 330i to overheat. I was given an estimate of $168 on Dec. 1 when AAA towed my vehicle to BMW of Monrovia, which quickly escalated to $660 to replace the belt and upper and lower radiator hoses (i.e., very expensive!) Maxcare extended warranty approved replacing a pulley for $317 that caused the problem. One week later- without a loan car or rental car being procured- I was charged $593.85- shouldn't this have been $343, according to their quotes? They delivered the car extremely dirty due to their ongoing construction activity.

Excellence from service to product!
Christmas came a little early this year. Thanks to the great customer service skills of Mr. Ron Demps and the staff at BMW of Monrovia, I was able to trade out 2011 328i in for a brand new 2015 320i twin turbo, complete with moon roof and a lot of other bells and whistles. It's got the quickness you'd expect from a BMW, yet the MPG is much better than our last one. The maintenance package is incredible, and we are enjoying it to the fullest. I highly suggest going to see Ron and his team!

Took my car in as it was not running well at all, in fact it had to be towed in. I was originally quoted $700 for the repair, bad coils, misfiring on 3 out of 4 cylinders. After discussing the issue with my service adviser, he was able to get most of it covered, so I only paid around $130, so I left happy.

I don't feel welcomed
The last few times I was there I was not welcomed and was told I needed numerous repairs. When my husband returned with the vehicle they told him a different story and the repairs were not suggested to him. I hate to say that maybe females are treated differently. As a result I refuse to take my vehicle in and I either have my husband or son take the car in. My son and husband agreed I was treated poorly and they have offered to take the car in for me always.
