We had an excellent shopping experience and it was all due to the expert knowledge of our client advisor, Royce Donovan. Royce was extremely helpful and a joy to work with. Buying a car can be stressful but Royce put us at ease with his likable personality, plus he worked a great deal for us.Ask for Royce!

I was in BMW of Louisville this morning, and I truly enjoyed working with not just one--but several of their staff members. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the sweetest woman, Sharon. I'd go back just to chat with her. Overall, I was very impressed with their inventory and their pre-owned selection. Having a variety is important when looking at a vehicle, especially with a high-end brand. Although I didn't purchase today, I'll definitely be back in the store soon.

I visited this dealership and was extremely impressed with the excellent customer service and great selection of inventory. The dealership appeared organized and well-managed. I appreciated the attentiveness of the client advisor with whom I spoke (Royce), and his knowledge of BMW and the buying process was exemplary. I also had a wonderful conversation with the General Manager, Chris Dunbar. I will definitely return to BMW of Louisville and intend to purchase a vehicle from this top-notch dealership. Great service, quality, and environment.

I took time out of my busy schedule today to look at at a used BMW (2014 x3 35i). I spoke with a salesman (Royce) briefly yesterday. I followed up with him this morning to ask questions about the vehicle. He was not knowledgeable and I was skeptical but I called him back to let him know I was coming at 12:20 to see the car. When I arrived he was talking to another salesman and did not promptly acknowledge I was there, so I went out to see if I could find the vehicle. I came back in he spoke to me and said he was getting the key. After he asked everyone around where the vehicle was, he told me it was at a body shop getting touch up work. This raised flags since I'd been told over the phone how nice the vehicle had been maintained. To say the least I'm not a satisfied former customer. (I bought a 2008 x3 from this dealership several years ago). The customer service I received today was not the exemplerary customer service I'm accustomed to dealing with at a high end car dealership. Salesman Royce needs additional customer service training, when a customer has made an appointment to view a car, make sure you are available as well as making sure the vehicle is available. I wasted 2 hours out of my life today dealing with BMW of Louisville. My time is just as valuable as that of their employees and staff. My ranking is based solely on the customer service I received from this salesperson. BMW is truly the ultimate driving machine. I don't expect a response/follow up since previous reviews indicate only positive/raving reviews get a response.

Terrible customer service. They seem to dazzle you when you buy the car, but once you sign on the dotted line, don't expect anything but disappointment. I absolutely will NOT be a repeat customer of Sam Swope. I was mislead when I purchased the Wheel and Tire Protection Warranty Plan, so now I sit with a pothole-damaged rim with absolutely no backing from them. If I wanted this kind of service, I would have gone to Kia! Next time I'll give Audi my business. I wish I would have a year ago!

My experiences with Sam Swope BMW has been nothing but stellar. My first experience was approximately six months ago when I took our car in to have the headlight reprogrammed for proper alignment. I was greeted by Mr. Brian Bodong (service advisor), he was very polite, knowledgeable, and professional. He obtained all the necessary information for the service request and swiftly had our car in the shop for the requested service. The work performed was exceptional. I don't know who the service technician was but hats off to him or her for a job well done. Earlier this week I learned that the passenger side turn signal on our car was not working properly so I stopped in at Sam Swope BMW to speak with Brian Bodong about the issue. I was in a company vehicle so I didn't have the car with me. Brian remembered me from months earlier and was eager to assit me with the issue. We made arrangements for me to bring the car in this evening for diagnostic testing. Again Brian obtained the necessary information for the service request and jumped right into action. While Brian was taking care of the repair, I browsed the pre-owned vehicles. I was greeted by Dean Rusch (Client Advisor). Dean was also very polite, knowledgeable, and professional. I told Dean that I was just browsing to pass time while Brian was taking care of a repair. Dean understood and simply answered all my questions and showed me vehicles that I asked to see. There was absolutely no pressure from him. He also deserves recognition for a job well done. So in closing I would like to commend both Brian and Dean. Sam Swope management got it right when they hired these two men. I wold also like to point out that most people that have a positve experience never go to a forum or social media platform to share the positive experience. Most of us have intentions on doing so but never take the time to follow through with it. Therefore I think it's important to note that there's only a few negative reviews on this site. I believe that Sam Swope BMW conducts hundreds of business transactions with customers annually and there's less than five negative reviews so that suggests there's hundreds of satisfied and repeat customers. The next BMW that I purchase will be from Sam Swope BMW and it's all because Brain Bodong made a first great impression and continues to raise the bar in regards to customer service every time I have interaction with him. I will not conduct business with anyone or any entity that lacks honesty or integrity. I don't know what happened in regards to the folks with the negative reviews but I can say that I have never experienced anything negative with anyone at Sam Swope BMW. Sincerely, Tim M.

My wife is very thorough when considering the purchase of a vehicle. We visited various dealerships test driving and conversing with sales representatives. However, the professionalism of Lawson McSwain brought us back to the BMW dealership. Unlike the stereotypical car salesman, Lawson was extremely personable and never pressured us into making a decision. He always availed himself to us whenever we had questions or wanted to meet with him. When my wife decided on the X3, Lawson worked with the Sales Manager, Jeff Williams, (also very professional) in providing an acceptable deal. We ordered the vehicle made to our specifications and it arrived in a very timely manner and every detail was exactly as we had ordered. When we picked up the vehicle, Lawson and Beau Kaufman (the technological genius) spent a considerable amount of time going over all of the features on the X3. Knowing that on the first day, we could not grasp every option on the menu of this 2016, they invited us to call or come back in anytime for a review of these features. As my wife drove off the lot, Lawson, Beau and I cheered with enthusiasm. This was by far the best vehicle purchasing experience we have ever had.

It is not often you hear people come out of a dealership for anything, especially service, with anything good to say. Seems people are always focused on the money. But it is completely different in my experiences with Sam Swope BMW because they turn the focus off of the money, and the profits, and towards my vehicle and what's in the best interest of me. I have had several BMWs taken there and each time they make me feel as though they want me to understand exactly what I'm spending my money on. And they often tell me I don't "need" something right away simply because they are looking out for MY best interest. I'm not made of money and they know that and look past that and to the person. They tell me what I NEED to know and what I NEED to have done to my vehicles and it has instilled a quality of trust that most dealers simply do not get. I trust Sam Swope BMW and their expertise and if ever they make a mistake as all humans do, they own up to it and help make it right. That, in my eyes, is perfection. Not being perfect, but striving for always being better and being an advocate for the client. Very well done Sam Swope BMW! I will continue to take my vehicles to you and tell anyone who asks to go there as well. On a side note, any of you reading this who believes the dealers are way more expensive than an independent, I am firmly telling you you are uneducated. Shop around. I did. And I found that most often, the price for the dealer (especially considering that warranty on work or at least their ability and drive to stand behind their work) is generally the same or less. And on top of it, I know someone who works on these cars every day is doing it and has been trained with equipment far superior to most independents. Even if the dealer was a little more, I would still urge you to consider what you are getting for your money. Sam Swope BMW has taken care of me and will of you as well if you give them a chance and understand they see you as a person and not a number. Extremely satisfied customer here!!

I have owned several BMWs over the years and have taken them to several different repair shops for service and repairs. One including Sam Swope BMW. I used to have the same mindset as everyone else...."the dealer just wants your money, doesn't care, and is way too expensive." Well, over the years Sam Swope BMW has proven me wrong. For one, their prices after doing a lot of shopping around were often the same or even less than the independent shops and this was using all BMW parts. The best part of it is that I know the person working on my car is someone who works on BMWs all day long and I'm sure the dealer trains them often. Seems they would have to to keep up with all the new technology. My personal experience has been fantastic as well. Every person, including some of the techs, I have dealt with at Sam Swope has treated me like a person and not a number. I like not being "strong-armed" into performing repairs or services I didn't come in for. I love that they tell me about them and educate me about my cars, but never make me feel like I can't say no unless it's been something very serious. Even then, they were more than willing to show me and explain everything to me. This has made me trust them and that's a quality lost in most dealerships around. I won't be going to another independent for my BMWs needs. Sam Swope BMW will have my business for as long as I have a BMW.

I would recommend EVERYONE go to him for great service. Mr. Bricker new every aspect of the car that I wanted purchase and was very thorough in providing as much information about the car's specifications prior to and after my purchase. Also, the manager Mr. McCarty was super fantastic and worked with us along the way, as well. They were patient and I didn't feel rushed to make decisions on anything regarding the purchase. I highly recommend this location to anyone shopping for a "Bavarian Motor Works' ride ;-) I would write the same comments even if we had not worked a deal...these gentlemen are true professionals.

This all started roughly in march when i noticed that our 2012 x5 5.0i was starting to burn oil. So as like anyone else i googled reasons and found that BMW has a Customer Care package that repairs this issue that was release in December of 2014. I called Sam Swope on 4 different occasions and left voice mail to contact me back with information on this and how long will this take to perform the service. Not one call back to me, finally called and a live person answered the phone WOW. The woman said it's no big deal we can get you in the shop in two weeks to do some checks that BMW needs for us to order the parts because different ones need different parts. I waited the two weeks showed up at the dealer after taking off work to do so, waited in the waiting room probably fifteen minutes and shawn the service advisor came out and said " I am not sure why we had you come in today my service manager said just to order the parts." Ok now i am a little upset waist of a day to do this. We set up another appointment in two more weeks, I was to drop it off and get work performed. My phone died on the thursday before the appointment at the last part of the day and Sam Swope had called and left a voice mail that was in the terms of we don't want you to come in and waste your time tomorrow we do not need to check your vehicle for the parts anymore BMW has told all dealers to just replace all the parts, we can get you on a list of people to order the parts to perform this procedure just call us back. OK i get on the phone because as far as i know we ordered the parts and thats why i am coming in tomorrow. fourty five minutes of calling a receptionist finally answers the phone i am fairly steamed at this point she said i can send you back to leave a voice mail or just call back in the morning. WHAT HA are you kidding no one ever answers the phone no just get me a manager that i could speak with. i wait on hold for five minutes she gets back on the phone sir did you figure out what you want to do call back in the morning or i can send you back to the voice mail. MAAM I asked for you to get me a manager to speak with, please hold. she sends me to a voice mail. My blood is boiling at this point, i grabbed my 6 month old and head over there, I spoke with the sales manager at this point he didn't care, he stated he will call me in the morning. never received a call from them. I called and asked for the service manager to call me back, he did about 8 hours later. I decided that i would not do business with these people. Today three weeks after all this our BMW has gone into limp mode I called yet again like a dummy. I'm sorry sir it will be the fifteenth before we can get you a loaner which is two weeks away. should have known better. called dealer in lexington I am dropping off vehicle monday to get all work performed as they stated a couple days at the most. Save your time and skip Sam Swope BMW. The worst buying experience ever. If you have to have a BMW take the time to drive to another town. It will be worth it in the end. They had my check in hand and had the nerve to call me on a Sunday of a holiday weekend to tell me that the deal was off unless I could take delivery that day. I live more than 2 hours away. My wife and I compared both Lexus and Audi SUV's to BMW. While the other options were OK the BMW x35i offered more amenities. Plus BMW service program with loaner cars make your service experience easy. The Sales Consultant (Jeffery Bricker) was very patient and professional, we never felt pressured. During the sales process he spent time searching other dealerships to find our "perfect" X35i. After the purchase he spent several hours training us on all the wonderful features our vehicle offers. The deciding factor for us was the General Manger (George McCarty) who made sure we were completely satisfied and excited about our new BMW X35i. He made himself available for questions and provide insight. Both were very professional in every manner, Our experience at Sam Swope BMW won us over and we are most likely BMW owners for life. When we are ready for the next car the search will be simple, Sam Swope BMW ! As a former fleet manager of over 100 vehicles I can appreciate outstanding service. Therefore, I would highly recommend Sam Swope BMW Dealership to anyone!

After having my 335i brought to the service center on a Thursday for a water pump issue and diagnostic check I learned that my regular longtime service writer was no longer there. No problem, I was assigned a replacement and after making sure they had my current contact info etc. I left the car with instructions to get with me when they researched the problem. 6 days later and a half a dozen phone calls by me I finally reached the service dept. Only to discover the car was diagnosed then parked on a back lot because they supposedly couldn't reach me, a customer of over 4 years. When I finally reached the callous service writer I requested a bill for work done. Immediately came in, paid the bill and discovered a flat tire and the car wouldn't start. AAA towed it to a professional repair shop elsewhere.I will not do business with these arrogant unprofessional people again.

I was living in St. Matthews last February and one day I swung into the SS lot on Shelbyville Rd to look at used cars. It was very cold and snowing with accumulation already on the roads and in the parking lot. I could see men standing inside the showroom but no one came outside. I turned around and was leaving when a woman came out in the snow to ask if she could help me, it was Bridget. I went inside and we talked, I told her that I was interested in a used BMW that I had seen on line. She told me they didn't have it on that lot but that she would be happy to meet me at the BMW lot off Hurstborne to look at cars there. We made arrangements and I met her there. The car I was interested in was warmed up and ready to go, Bridget was waiting on me. We drove around a little bit and I decided to buy the car so we did the paperwork. There was a tag on the front and holes in the bumper which I had issue with because I didn't' want anything on the front bumper. Also there was a little damage on the rear bumper, minor. At the time I was buying it, no one offered to make any repairs and I was asking them to. I took it home as was and then discovered a small dent in the hood. Bridget was excellent at keeping in touch with me to make sure I was happy with everything and that I was satisfied. I told her about the dent in the hood, mentioned again the other damage, and told her that I was going to pay to get it fixed. I had already been for an estimate but she told me to hold off on that because she felt sure that Sam Swope would want to make these things right for me. She called Richard (I think that was his name) at the location where I bought the car and told me that he said I could bring it in for him to look at. I did this, and he was very nice, and told me they would fix the damage but to wait until the weather had improved some. By the way, Bridget sent me a package of brownies with a thank you note for my business which was really cool and the brownies were delicious. Before I took it back for those repairs, I dented the front bumper and my insurance replaced it. I still had the dent in the hood and the rear bumper damage. I talked to Bridget about taking it to SS for the repairs but Richard was no longer there so she called Kyle Cornwell for me and explained the situation to him. So......I took my car over for Kyle to look at and because the rear damage appeared to be more that first thought, no longer covered in snow and salt spray, he decided to paint the entire rear bumper! The dent was removed and the bumper repaired and painted and he loaned me a car to drive while they had it. The moral to this long story is, Bridget went far and above what was required of her (she even paired my cell phone to the car's Bluetooth!) in my opinion and is really a wonderful employee at Sam Swope. I hope you guys realize what an asset she is. Kyle, like Bridget, was very easy to talk to and was very pleasant. He too appears to be an asset. America has been losing the level of integrity and honor it once had. Sam Swope is a rich company and doesn't have to bend over backwards to please me, but two of your employees did. I can't tell you how good that makes me feel as a person, and as your customer. Most sincerely, Donna Blevens

Very pleased with the quality of service I recieved at Swope BMW. This is my first BMW and knew repairs would be a bit higher than the GM vehicles I drive. Swope treated me well and did not hurt the pocket too much. My service representative (Brian Bodong) was courteous and efficient. Keeping me in the loop every step of the way. Repairs were done in a timely manner . My vehicle was returned to me as clean as it was when I gave it to them (very particular about my vehicles). I will gladly return to Swope BMW with any other concerns I may have in the future. Service as well as Sales. Keep up the good work Brian !

I lease vehicles for my business every three years. I was over mileage on my BMW 535i so I was looking to get out of my lease early and get into another BMW. After doing extensive online research and building the vehicle I wanted from BMWs website, I started looking for a dealer to help me get the car and the lease price that I wanted. I e-mailed the BMW dealers that were close enough for me to work with and John Foye promptly returned my e-mail from Sam Swope BMW. John and JR Hage, the general manager at Sam Swope, worked very hard to utilize a BMW pull ahead program (it took care of the last 5 payments of my existing lease) and find the exact car that I had built on the website. All of this was done without me visiting the dealer until I was ready to pick-up my car. When I did pick-up my car everything was exactly as promised. In fact, it was better, as JR made the decision to cap my overage mileage at $1500.00 which saved me and additional $600.00 - I was not expecting this pleasant surprise. John did a great job of walking me through all the features and options on my new BMW and I signed the paperwork and was on my way. I have owned and leased over 18 cars since 1992 and can honestly say that this was the best dealer experience ever. Based on my experience, I highly recommend John Foye and JR Hage at Sam Swope BMW.

I have been a customer of Sam Swope BMW in Louisville since 2009 with the purchase of my first new BMW. Since then I have purchased several additional new vehicles from their dealership as well as used them for all my service needs on my new vehicles as well as a pre-owned BMW for my son. I've always had an enjoyable experience and must say that they always treat me like part of the family. JR Hage is the General Manager and has been a pleasure to work with. We had some issues with one of our BMWs and JR was with us the whole way as an advocate on our behalf with BMW North America; bringing a fair and acceptable resolution to the problem. In addition Wayne Davenport has always been my sales representative and both gentlemen have made the car buying experience easy with never any pressure. Pricing is very fair to say the least. The service group is also excellent, led by Jeff Byrn and my service advisor of Edwin Thomas. They always do the right thing and keep me informed without any pressure to perform any unnecessary service on my vehicles. I always feel like they go the extra mile to make sure my needs are met and my vehicles are maintained in top condition. It is seldom that I would take the time to write a review for a dealership, but based on my past experience, I have nothing but good words to say about Sam Swope BMW. If you want to buy a new or pre-owned BWM with no pressure and at a fair price, there is only one place to go; Sam Swope BMW.

I'm a car enthusiast and on my visit to the only BMW dealership in louisville. I had several questions that needed addressed on the Z4 I had come to buy. First at 60 thousand miles when is the next service and how much $ answer idk next question is the timing belt a no interference or interference if the belt breaks they had no clue what I was saying they could not properly describe the car to me let alone turn the A/C on bi level.the car itself was not at all what I pictured being sold at a BMW dealership there was large scratches on both fenders obviously touched up by the detail shop .The top was spotty Worn . There where new tires on th car some on correct some on backwards .Inside the dealership they had a Z3 in between the show room in hundreds of pieces wow was that scary was it a customers or the dealers to resale when I asked reply was again idk .

I recently leased a BMW 5281 from the Sam Swope dealership in Louisville, I must say the I was very impressed with the knowledge of the salesman Charles, prior to leasing what I believe to be the first of many BMW's, i had little knowledge of the BMW line of automobiles, Charles was very educated with the product, it was obvious that the sales staff at Sam Swope does not just sell you a car but the experience of driving a BMW, I have had my car now for approximately 2 months and must say that i am very impressed with the ride, handling, and fuel milage. I would certainly recommend to anyone to stop in and meet with Charles and the staff at Sam Swope BMW.

Very good purchase experience. I worked well with my salesperson Charles determining features and options. His vehicle and purchase process expertise were helpful from the start of the discussion through delivery. He did a great job locating (and working to keep the car from being sold to someone else prior to shipment) a car that met my needs. Transfer of vehicle to the dealership in Louisville could have been faster but that was out of the Sam Swope team's control. I'm very happy with the purchase. I would definitely buy from Charles and Saw Swope BMW again.

I had a great experience when I purchased my car from Sam Swope BMW but it got even better after my first visit to the service department. I damaged a wheel and only had a few hours before I was supposed to drive out of town for business. They got the car right in and realized the wheel and tire needed to be replaced. They didn't have the wheel in stock so instead of making me wait a couple days for a new wheel, they pulled a new car in from the lot and put a wheel and tire from that car onto mine getting me on the road in less than an hour. That was way more than I expected. Connie and Jimmy were awesome to deal with. Thank you!

I have purchased 5 BMW autos since 1990 and have loved each and every one of them. The majority were bought as certified preowned vehicles which, in my opinion, allows many to experience the thrill of 'the Ultimate Driving Machine!'While service could be an often unpleasant experience, this won't happen at Swope due to manager, Michael Brown. I've dealt with Michael many times and he is such a fine gentleman and friend. He cares about your vehicle and he cares about his customers. On my recent visit as Michael and I visited, I told him of my recent kidney disease diagnosis. He insisted on getting my email so he might stay in touch and pray for me. That meant the world to me! I am a medical sales representative whom also enjoys a quaity fun-to-drive vehicle. However, I pride myself on doing some of my service on my own (past SCCA racer)and need/prefer quaity OEM parts. I know I can source parts online, but find using the dealer affords me a much better experience even when I service the car myself. For the times when I don't have the time I refer to Edwin with Swope BMW. He is aware of my needs for my car and always gives excellent ad prompt service. He is my go to guy when I "don't feel like working on it myself" or have the time to fix. Simply put Edwin is the best service writer I have met over the years. I must admit since I enjoy working on my car I get a bit nervous when handing the car over. Again, I have found with an overall excellent and knowledge service writer and his experienced technicians, I have yet to have the car not fixed correctly the first time without the feeling of them guessing or "throwing parts at my problems"! Simply put not the typical dealer experience. Keep it up Edwin, Scott (my technician of choice as well) and Jeff Byrne (service driector) for running a shop I trust!Jeff

When I decided to purchase a new car, I wanted to find a reliable, safe suv. More importantly, I had such a bad experience with my previous dealer and service team, that I wanted to ensure that I had the best experience possible when purchasing a car. I must say that Wayne Davenport was exceptional and surpassed any expectations I came into the experience with. He literally spent most of the day with my father and I testing out cars. What struck me the most is that Mr. Davenport could've pushed the more expensive X6, but when we got in the car and I hit the gas, he could tell that I didn't need that much power in a car. It felt like he truly wanted me to be happy with the purchase I was making. He has also called to check on how the service department is doing (which is exceptional). I will definitely return to Sam Swope BMW for my next car purchase, and more importantly, I will be visiting Mr. Davenport.

After a 6 hour Drive to the dealership, my trade dropped a couple thousand dollars in value. Understanding our deal was made over the phone and subject to visual acceptance, I knew an adjustment may be required. However, the dealership could give reason for the deacreased value and we settled on the originally agreed price.Three years later I contacted the salesman reqarding a used 650i coupe. The 650i was not liseted with a CPO warranty. When I inquired about adding the CPO, the salesman stated the car would qualify, however it had been listed without the warranty and could not be changed per BMW rules once priced without. Our local BMW dealer disagreed with such a statement.

I live closer to Lexington, Kentucky than Louisville so when my wife and I decided it was time to purchase a new vehicle, we visited several dealerships in Lexington. We could not find a deal that suited us so we expanded our search to Louisville. The first place we visited was the Sam Swope BMW dealer. We met with Ms. Pysareva and made what we thougt was a reasonable offer on a BMW which needed to be ordered and Ms. Pysareva did the typical "check with my manager" routine. We thought at the time about leaving, but she returned very quickly to accept our offer. We were quite pleasantly surprised (I thought I must have offered too much). Ms. Pysareva let us know that the automobile should take several weeks to arrive, which was fine with us. But we were on the lot a couple of weeks later and my wife saw a car on the lot she really liked, so we asked Ms. Pysareva if we could just take the car on the lot, which she quickly agreed to and we completed the deal that day and picked up the car shortly after.During the whole process she did not show any frustration with me and was very pleasant. Once she learned that the car was actually meant for my wife she spent more time making sure my wife was going to be satisfied with car and understood the workings of the interior mechanics and electronics than with me, which I appreciated.

We bought a new vehicle from Sam Swope BMW. We loved working with Lena Pysareva. Lena is an "A+" salesperson. She is easy going, not high pressure. She is very knowledgeable of the BMW products. She worked diligently to find a vehicle that fit our requirements. When the vehicle did arrive, Lena took time to go over all the features of the vehicle with us. I would definitely recommend Lena Pysareva to my family and friends, and would work with her again in the future.

We have a local dealer, yet we receive such great service with Sam Swope and my sales person Lena in Louisville, that we drive the 100 miles to deal with Lena and Sam Swope. I recently referred a friend to Lena and she saved them several thousand dollars on a new vehicle and were also amazed, as I am, with the professionalism and service provided by Lena. There was a trade involved and the results were great with no dickering and a tremendous trade allowance and purchase price.Lena is always there to greet me when I visit for service and the service department is also tops.Thank you Lena, and I will continue to refer any friends, and thank you Sam Swope.Jack

I leased a new 3-series about a year ago and just took it in for its first scheduled maintenance. Without a doubt, Lena is the most professional automobile sales representative I have ever encountered. She is knowledgeable, patient, thorough, and a pleasure to do business with. She has kept in touch after the sale and has been very gracious with my interest in the new 3-series and the European delivery program. I highly recommend Lena to anyone interested in a new car, and look forward to working with her when my lease is up. Michael Brown was my service coordinator for the scheduled maintenance appointment and was extremely professional and friendly throughout our interaction. I love that the car comes with complimentary scheduled maintenance. Even though the service was at no charge, I was treated as a valued customer.

I've dealt with Swope BMW and Lena for the leases of my past two BMW's. My current lease was due and I went back to Lena who assisted me with the lease of a Lexus. She assisted me in test driving three different makes of cars at different dealerships and obtained all the necessary inforamtion I needed. I eventually purchased a Lexus and Lena was with me every step of the way. I will continue to go to her in the future for my automobile needs. It was a pleasure dealing with her and the entire Swope family.

This is the first import vehicle I have ever bought. I went searching for a new car and the choices came down to a Lexus IS-F or a BMW M3. We live about 75 miles away from Sam Swope and made the drive to check out the M3 and IS-F. Our local dealers were not very cooperative when it came to finding a car or working a deal on the car.I was met at the BMW dealership by Lena Pysareva, she was very friendly and helpful. I wanted an automatic but the only car they had was a coupe with a six speed. Lena located multiple vehicles with the options and color I wanted. She emailed the information back to me and went out of her way to make the buying experience the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. She kept me informed when the car arrived and when it would be ready to pick up. She went over ever detail of the car, iDrive system, stereo. seat settings, navigation etc.. She spent well over an hour with me answering any questions I had. The entire transaction was very stress free.Overall the entire visit to the dealership was pressure free and very friendly. When the car was in for the 2000 mile check up Lena stopped to make sure everything was going well, offered a loaner to go over to the mall or even offered to drop me off if I wanted to go. The service department treated me well and return the car clean and serviced properly.I would recommend anyone looking for a BMW in SW Indiana or near Louisville KY to stop in and see Lena for a great deal on a new or used BMW.

In 2009 I was looking for a slightly used 335i. I dropped by and noticed a white 2008 335i with black interior, low miles, sun roof, etc. The salesperson quoted me a fair price, but I thought maybe I could find one at a better price. After calling all over the U.S. and checking the internet, I could find no better deal. I returned to the dealership to find the car had sold. The salesperson I spoke to on the return visit, Lena Pysareva assured me she could find me a similar car. Since I had been searching for over two months for a 335i with these particular options, I was highly skeptical. I have bought many cars, and dealt with many sales people. I know the routine. I reluctantly gave her my name and number, and told her to contact me ONLY if she found the exact model with the options I was looking for.3 days later she called me, and had indeed located an exact match. When I arrived for the test drive, she explained in great detail the 335i. I have never experienced a salesperson as knowledgeable about a product. She explained all the options, the features of the this particular model, the certified BMW warranty. Answered every question I could throw at her. I was impressed. I am not easily impressed. She even came down a few hundred dollars on the price, and gave me a more than fair price for my trade.Last month, I returned to purchase a slightly used 335i convertible. Once again, I had a specific set of options that I would like to have. I had a set budget also. Lena once again went to work to find me a car. After a few days of searching, Lena contacted me and said she was having no luck finding me a used 335i convertible with the options I wanted within my target price. White with the M Sport package, red interior, etc.She DID however find me a NEW 2012 335i convertible with all the options I listed and was within my target price.I cannot speak for every salesperson at Sam Swope BMW, but I can say I have never been more satisfied with any car purchase I have ever made. Lena Pysareva got me exactly what I wanted, not once but TWICE.Lena even found me a great used Mazda 626 for my niece who was in dire need for a reliable used car, at a fair price. So, that makes 3 times she has come through with great deals. I will continue to shop there as long she can keep finding em.Highly Recommended!!

Recently I was looking at a used Saab at Sam Swope BMW. Mr. Benettsen was my salesperson. He was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Although I ultimate did not purchase the car, I will return to the dealership when I find another car I want there. My salesperson allowed me to have the car looked at by a mechanic and did everything I would need if I had decided on the purchase. I would heartily recommend all the Sam Swope dealerships as I have purchased from them in the past and they remain as good today as in my past purchases.

I love my new BMW! I have been driving Merecedes vehicles since 1982. Switching to the BMW brand was a big decision for me! My 28 year old son assured me that I would not be disappointed, and he is right! BMW is luxury combined with style, power and performance. My wife's analogy of the combo is "Vivaldi meets Van Halen". It is true, this car is all business and all pleasure, it truly is "The Ultimate Driving Machine!" I also cannot say enough good things about the fine folks at Swope BMW! Customer Service: 4.0 Buying Process: 1.0 Overall Facilities: 5.0

I initially went to the Sam Swope Honda dealerships to test drive a few cars. Mainly to have a better comparison to decide on what car we wanted to look out for on cars.com. After test driving the Pilot and CRV we went over to the BMW Swope Dealership as they had a trade in on a used Pilot. We saw it and my wife's eyes lit up. Needless to saw after a test drive we were ready to negotiate and purchase the car. We all went inside BMW and I took a look at their car report and I noticed that the suggested sale price for the dealer was $20,000 (Swope was asking $21500 at the time). To my surprise I felt like I was twisting their arm just to get down to the suggested retail value! There were comps 100 miles surrounding that were much less in cost so there was really no excuse for the inflation. The car had some worn leather and paint chips so it was probably not even in a "spotless" condition. Once we got down to the suggested price I made what I saw as a reasonable offer of $18,000 and I would had paid $19,000. The said they would not budge off of their price. At that point we said our goodbyes and I was expecting a follow up call from the dealership. We are now out a month from that event. I have gotten no phone call to follow up with us about the Pilot. The car has dropped down $2500 on the asking price (now to $19,000) and is still sitting on the BMW lot. Apparently the dealership and the salesperson did not want their cut in a sale and they could had moved a car off the lot a month ago that has been sitting unowned. Everything went well until it came down to talking about price and when we left the lot experience which worries me. It shows that the focus is only when you are in the lot so it was probably better than we did not buy that day. If you go to Sam Swope do your research on what the value of a car should be and stick to that price. It seems like the drop prices on cars every week or two until the used car sales. If I walked into the dealership today I could probably get the car much lower than I was prepared to even pay a month ago, but I will probably wait to do business with a dealership that wants my business.

Drove 140 mile round trip to look at an '07 BMW M Coupe. Was told "I needed to put an offer in writing" BEFORE I could test drive the car. Absolutely the WORST auto dealership I have ever been to. I explained that I had driven a long way to inspect the car, and how in the world could I make an offer on it, before driving it? Ridiculous. The used car manager- Joel Jones, still would not allow a test drive. This was for a 4 year old BMW M Coupe, $35K used car. A stain on the BMW name. I am fortunate to have a dealership I can trust and go to for the tough questions that plague my older (and newer!) BMWs. In our family, since the late '90's, we have purchased 4 new BMWs and 1 used BMW from Sam Swope. I have several older BMWs that consume a lot of parts. We have always been happy with the purchase process, and from a parts and service stand-point Sam Swope BMW is top-notch. Sure, the prices for the vehicles are on the higher side compared to like, regional dealerships, but we have always been treated fairly. And, it's not because we "look the part" either. Now, on to parts... there is no better place to buy BMW parts. Especially, if you are a BMW Car Club member. Jeff Byrn in parts has always gone over-the-top to help me out (including leaving parts with the receptionist when I can't make it during normal hours or shipping the parts to me... he's even hand-delivered to my house!). Talking to other folks around the country I consider myself very lucky to have this resource. From the service side, we are also very happy. Edwin Thomas has always really helped us out getting our new and used cars (both purchased at Sam Swope and elsewhere) in for service. Edwin has even offered his own personal car to my mother when she's had her car in for service when a loaner was not available. Top-notch, indeed! Thanks for always helping our family out, Sam Swope BMW. Now, if only you could talk BMW into producing cars that are worth purchasing again the world would be a better place.

My son was approved for a loan to purchase a used Cadillac Eldorado, to our misfortune, it so happened to be at the Sam Swope BMW Used Car dealership. We were told the vehicle was priced at 5900. The same night, a different salesman called me to tell me, the price was $5650.00. We go to test drive the vehicle, it had a valve tap, it made a noise in the rear, needed new tires, paint damage all over the vehicle, chips, not in the condition we were led to believe this auto was in, for us to find it was in a rear collision, they never told us, when I asked for information, one salesman told me, he knew NOTHING of any auto's on the entire lot, as he only became a salesman one week ago. Well, he also raised the price up to 6,950.00. When we told him the internet price, he disagreed, we gave him an offer, he said he would speak to his manager, wow, he was gone for less than 30 seconds, to say NO! Not even entering the building, did not see him talk to not one person, at this time, I felt he was being greedy, as apparently he doesn't sell any cars, is not a qualified salesman, the car was low priced for being on a BMW lot, he just did not feel like "wasting his time" on a sale under 15,000.00. Seemed he would rather make nothing, than get a sale on a car that was too low priced for him to sell, not enough commission. I get a call back from the other salesman who quoted me a price of 5,650.00. When speaking to him, he also raised the price of this vehicle up to 6500.00. He would NOT budge on this price and was very nasty and ignorant to me. Now, tell me, my son has A+ excellent credit, was already credit approved by Sam Swope BMW, and today, we receive a letter, not from a consumer reporting agency, but from Sam Swope BMW, saying my son does not have good enough credit to purchase a car from their dealership, after they already approved his credit. I purchased a CTS Cadillac from Sam Swope, had all intentions of trading that auto in, in 2 years back to Swope. I now refuse to ever do any business with that company ever again, and being a person who does business with, and knows many many people all over the state of Kentucky, I will let them know how awful Sam Swope BMW is. I have never dealt with such ignorant, greedy, nasty, salesmen in my entire life and will save my friends from wasting their time, visiting that dealership. I believe they need to have their dealer license revoked. For I have NEVER been treated so shabbily by any automobile dealer in my entire life. Shame on YOU!!! Sam Swope BMW Used Car center. How do the salesmen and manager sleep at night, knowing all the people they are ripping off? Well, every dog has their day.. Soon, if they keep up with their lies, talking down to customers' and how little knowledge they have about used vehicles, they will be lucky if they sell one vehicle a month. Sam Swope, hire a new sales manager, and team. I will drive to a different Cadillac dealership when it is time for me to trade in my CTS... I am still waiting for the part Cadillac recalled for my vehicle, never to get a call, a letter, etc... Are they waiting for warranty to expire on my car??? I refuse to pay for a recall a flaw caused by General Motors, for Sam Swope to make money on a car that has a defect! Soon everyone will walk away from Sam Swope, if they keep up with their lies, deception and treating a young college boy like garbage, because he was not interested in a $15-20,000.00 vehicle. Sam Swope BMW used car center, needs some education on how to sell a car, and how to treat a potential buyer. NEVER AGAIN!!!! -0 star rating to that dealership!!!!!

How horrid is Sam Swope BMW service? So bad that I'd rather drive over an hour away, to Lexington, just so they won't touch my car. I've already been warned by every one of my BMW friends who's had service done there. One guy's car keeps having a new part break every time he takes it there. After paying for it, Sam Swope realize that THEY actually broke it, but since the new parts already installed, they won't refund him. Now it's my turn for service....I bought a CPO car with 6 weeks remaining under the original full coverage warranty. During the time I noticed a few items that needed replacing, like a dry rotted window seal, defective shift knob that had moisture build up under the laquer...etc. Luckily I already knew Sam Swope was worthless so I had contacted Don Jacob's BMW at the same time. For those two items above, they said it was covered under warranty and would order the parts as soon as I give them the okay. Here's what Sam Swope had to say...Sam Swope, as expected, was not as willing to help. I had been referred to Edwin Thomas for service by friends and online car forum members who had excellent experiences with him. I emailed him detailed pictures of the items plus descriptions. When I spoke with him on the phone later, we discussed the items and he was extremely helpful and attentive. He said he would talk to his service manager and fight for as many items to be covered under warranty as he could. So far, Edwin had been extremely helpful and I was starting to think differently of Sam Swope.10 Days, 10+ phone calls, multiple emails later...still no reply back. I end up emailing the service manager and every single service adviser (except Mike Brown because I had already heard how worthless he was from a friend's previous experience). Finally Tab, the service manager replies back and says that my particular trim piece is only a 2yr/24k mile warranty. That's funny, last time I checked it was called a FOUR YEAR MAINTENANCE/WARRANTY???? The shift knob and other items are normal wear and tear and therefore not covered. If I wanted them to repair the window seal it would be $450+. No Thanks. I can handle a 1hr+ drive to get it dealt with by a dealer willing to actually help their customers. Wonder why it took 10 days to get back to me? Maybe because my warranty was up in 13 days? My conspiracy theory is that Tab directed Edwin to ignore my phone calls until my warranty expired, then they would have no choice but to charge me. Edwin has a reputation for being an EXCELLENT service adviser the has been REPEATEDLY mentioned when I ask around he local car community. I am in no way questioning his credibility. I am, however, questioning the management of the Sam Swope BMW Service Department, under TAB BARNES.Thank goodness I was also talking to Don Jacobs at the same time.So how bad is Sam Swope? I'd rather drive 4 hrs to buy a car from someone else and drive over an hour to get it serviced just so those crooks can't touch my car.

Called infinti corp. for warranty work, possibly recall, then for some reason Local dealer Sam Swope called me, Steve Bear, offered me NO help on my radio problem which has already been repaired twice (Radio prob. Very Common on G35s). Steve Bear was ignorant and very unprofessional, treated me as if i owed them something. In Consideration of all the issues i have had with Sam Swope BMW and INFINIT over the years i had made the decision never to do business with Sam Swope again. i will be taking business to the local dealer in cincinnati and south florida.

I took my 330i in for scheduled service (oil change and inspection). It was still under warranty and I had the maintenance plan as well, which I told them when I scheduled the appointment. I dropped it off in the morning and after 6 hours and not having heard anything, I called to find out what was going on. They said that I needed new brakes/rotors, along with new front control arms, and a couple belts were worn and should be replaced. The service advisor quoted me $1800 for this. When I asked about this being covered under the warranty/maintenance plan, he acted like he didn't know I had this and said he would have to give me a call back. 30 mins. later he calls back and says it will be about $750. The brakes/rotors aren't covered due to excessive rust, which he said was caused from sitting undriven for extended periods of time. That's an environment issue and therefore isn't covered under the maintenance plan. I said that I put about 25k miles on it a year so it doesn't sit undriven for long, and 20k miles ago the rear brakes/rotors were replaced under the maintenance plan by another dealer. He still said it wasn't covered. I asked about the control arms which he said were never covered as they were just standard wear and tear items. That's interesting since the maintenance plan is supposed to cover wear and tear items. It needed to be done so I said to go ahead and do it. He wanted to know if I could leave it overnight as it was supposedly a 3-4 hour job (it had been there for 7 hours now) and I said that I really needed it that night but could wait if absolutely necessary. He told me he'd see what he could do and call me right back. After 30 mins. and no return phone call, I call back. He tells me that it will be ready in an hour. When I go pick it up, I'm socked with an $1150 bill! I was given no explanation for the discrepancy between the quoted $750 and the actual cost. It was just an "estimate." As many brake jobs as they do and control arms that they replace, they can only get within $400 of the actual price? Furthermore, the other recommended maintenance items that should have been done at this inspection per the maintenance manual were spark plug replacement and automatic transmission fluid flush/replace. I was told that it didn't need it. Funny, the book says that if it's not done, then the warranty is void.I contacted BMW NA as they didn't contact me like they usually do after a service appointment. I explained what happened and the rep said he would contact the dealer to try to resolve it. He called me back the next day and said he had talked to the dealer. He said that the dealer had provided a more detailed explanation to him about the brakes/rotors. They had "pitting" from rust and therefore would not be covered as that was not normal wear and tear. Again, I told him that it doesn't sit undriven for any length of time but he could only go with what they told him. As for the control arms, he couldn't verify if they were a covered item or not, but according to the dealer they weren't. I guess BMW NA doesn't know what their own maintenance plan covers? As for the transmission fluid and spark plugs, he repeated the same thing about it not being needed. Weird, because BMW's maintenance book specifically says that it is. They had never been replaced before so I don't see how it wouldn't be needed. Regardless, the warranty and maintenance plan had just expired so they couldn't cover it now anyway. I'm sure they didn't plan that one!Bottom line is, don't go here unless you're sure everything is covered under warranty. If they say it's not, check with someone else or go to another dealer. Even if it is, I wouldn't trust them after this incident. That was my first and last time at Sam Swope. I will be using an independent shop from now on as there are several good ones in the area. I also found out that they would have only charged half of what Swope did!

When I bought my M3 they wouldn't give me European delivery, so I just drove to Lexington where they were happy to take my money. Customer service takes forever because they don't seem to carry any stock. An O2 sensor took 3 weeks to arrive, SMG parts are at least a week or two of waiting, nearly any part must be ordered. I expected daily status updates but did not get this. Until recently they were not open on Saturday. Swope Honda dealership has better service hours! I have had 3 repairs performed that have had to have more work after the fact. SMG hydraulics leaked after their repair. Replacement of door seal left the sill plate unattached. Sun roof shade has had to be repaired twice (they were kind enough to perform the second under warranty).Getting a loaner takes divine intervention. The guys that work in the service dept are exceptionally nice, but it's a shame they aren't backed up by a decent dealership. I know at least 3 other BMW owners that take their cars to Indy for service instead of dealing with SWOPE.

I have tried to deal with the sales side of this dealership on three occasions over the past 19 years and have encountered nothing but lies, incompetence, and just plain ignorance. They are the only local BMW dealership and have a lock on the local market. They are nothing short of incompetent. In light of the premium product that they are selling, the sales people should be nothing short of knowledgeable and interested; they are simply the opposite. On two occasions in the past when I tried to deal with them in obtaining a new vehicle, the salesmen did nothing but lie to me, repeatedly. At the latest encounter, the salesman was obviously ignorant regarding the BMW 5 series coupe, and gave me a lease price that was way higher than I could obtain from a dealer several hundred miles away that I have dealt with in the past.
On one occasion, about nione years ago, I went on a test drive with a salesman. Everytime I asked a question, he had to refer to the "book" that he brought with him for the answers to my questions regarding the technical aspects of the vehicle. What do these guys do in their spare time between sales contacts? Obviously not learn about the premium vehicles that they are trying to sell.

This dealership should have its license with BMW North America revoked!

However, service is fine. I have had BMW's serviced there for the last nineteen years, and they are reasonably competent. They are light-years better than their sale counterparts. Service is OK!!

Our family has been going here for years since the time that my father's father worked for them, and we will likely continue to go due tot he sad fact that they are the only BMW dealer in the area, but we have had nothing but bad experiences here. From part availability when a car is in for repair, to lack of follow-up from the serivce department and sales, Sam Swope BMW has been nothing short of the most miserable automotive experience I've had. It's a shame, too, as more people in the area would likely drive BMW's if it weren't for their lock on the market.

I bought a preowned 740i from this dealership. At delivery I was told (and shown on the warranty paperwork) that all inspections had been done. I had a minor paint issue one month later. The service manager refused to repair the spot, he said that I didn't pay extra for a "visual inspection" upon delivery so we won't fix it. I had my lawyer call and talk to them, all of a sudden they were very nice and even gave me a loaner..... This car had a known defect in the ngine (Nikasil) cylinders that erroded with Kentucky gas. BMW had a campaign to replace the entire motor free if the car failed certain tests. My car was still inside the window for replacement and getting near failure. I asked the dealer to replace the motor under the BMW recall. They said "No, you don't have this type engine". So, I got the effected serial numbers from BMW, got under my car and wrote the serial number of the engine down. When I showed it to the service manger, they said, "Well were not fixing it" That pretty much sums up the service dept. As for the sales department, the last time I went in there to test drive an M3, the salesman said "I'm going to need $500 towards a purchase order to let you drive the car" If you decide to buy you can apply it towards the price other wise you loose the $500" That pretty much sums up the sales department......
