My sales advisor Casey Mountain was so helpful and very friendly. Car buying isn't always the best experience but Casey made sure to make mine the best it could be. I arrived later in the evening but Casey was more than willing to stay late and help me buy my dream car. She went over every detail with me and made sure I understood everything I was signing. She introduced me to her manager which made me feel like the entire staffed cared about their customers. If it wasn't for Casey I don't think I would have walked out with a new car. I will definitely be referring any family and friends to see Casey at Bill Jacobs VW

My husband and I were looking for a used car for my son and we were specific on the price point and features. I must state that Casey Mountain did a detail search based on our specifics and provided some options. After test driving the car and reviewing the numbers she suggested that we also look at the new 2016 models as they were running various promotions. At no time did Casey rush or pressure us nor make us feel that we were a burden to her. She took the time to explain and answer any questions we had. In this case, we went into the evening hours after they were closed with no complaints from Casey and the team.

I am a long-time Volkswagen owner having bought my first Volkswagen in 1980 --- a VW Rabbit diesel! I've dealt with many VW dealers over the years both on the east coast and here in the Midwest. I have to say that Bill Jacobs VW sales and service ranks as the best. I purchased two Volkswagens from Bill Jacobs VW, one in 2006 and one in 2013 and --- both were diesels! I have been completely satisfied with the cars, the sale prices of the cars, and the after-sale service with both cars. In particular, I was very pleased with Rob Butts who handled the sale of my 2013 Passat. I commend Rob for his patience and thoroughness. Patience because I had a ton of questions about the vehicle. Even though I had a lot of experience with Volkswagens, I still had many questions to ask! Thoroughness because Rob would always addressed my concerns and questions in most satisfactory manner. I highly recommend this dealership and Rob Butts as your salesperson for your new VW!

We actually were very impressed with the level of service and treatment from this dealership. The Sales person Robert as well as the Sales Manager did a great job listening our requirements as well as providing guidance though out all the steps to complete the sales transaction. We are very grateful about that!! What we had in mind was just stopping by and continue looking for more options because we had an appointment with Nissan and KIA next day, however after the treatment and attentions that we received from the Bill Jacobs sales people -- there was no reason to go anywhere else to buy the car. I have been a customer of Bill Jacobs since January 24, 2003 when I bought a New Beetle from this dealership. Soon after I bought my Beetle the dealership moved from New York Street in Aurora to its present location on Aurora Avenue in Naperville. During the time that I owned my Beetle, I always received top notch customer service from the various service personnel I dealt with over the years. I felt a sense of loyalty grow with time between me and the Bill Jacobs customer service team; so when it came time to replace my Beetle with another car in July 2015, I didn't hesitate to stay with Bill Jacobs and ended up purchasing a 2015 Golf GTI. The Bill Jacobs sales team member who helped transition me from my Beetle to a GTI was Robert Butts. I was very fortunate to be guided by Rob during the sales transaction. Rob is a true sales professional... friendly, knowledgeable and very experienced in providing guidance for anyone buying a new VW at Bill Jacobs. It has been almost 9 months since I purchased the GTI and Rob has maintained contact with me during that time for questions and concerns I may have. I would highly recommend him to any potential VW car buyer. He's truly the best!!! With regard to customer service, I want to recommend Denis Healy, Assistant Service Manager at Bill Jacobs. There isn't a more trustworthy and competent service manager than Denis. He provides an incredibly high level of service at all times from scheduling service to following up after the service is completed.

I waited almost 2 years from the time the mark VII Golf R was announced and when they could get a manual in for me. Throughout that time Bill Jacobs was patient with me and helpful with all my questions. I was happy with the deal we worked out and VERY IMPRESDED with how hard they worked (especially Rich Sopron) to get my car when it was available. And the salespersons I worked (Rob Butts and Rodney Garmon) with went above and beyond coming in on their days off! Shannon Hoffmann also worked very hard to get my car out the door to me at the end! I went to get my complimentary 10,000 mile check up and it was great. I was taken care of the minute I walked in. I had the 830am appointment and was out by 936am. I didn't mind waiting in the waiting room because they have coffee and they have many locations where you can do work on laptop. Erv took care of me and he was the nicest guy. Great customer service.

I have bought a number of cars o er the years and don't really like the experience. I did my research and went to Bill Jacobs. I found people friendly, the facilities clean. They were straightforward and easy to deal with. I found the positive reviews to be very accurate. They have a good selection of cars and options. They seemed interested in getting me the car I wanted with no pressure and no surprises. The service department is excellent. Vern took care of my car and I found d the positive reviews to be true. I was concerned about service when looking for a car because VW requires good maintenance. Vern was really good to deal with.. my overall experience has been excellent. If looking for a dealership they are definitely worth a visit.

Good part: Worked with Cesar; I visited and test drove several cars. He neer tried to push any sales or any particular car. He's very honest about each car. I chose to work with him specifically the second time I wanted to test drive. Strange part: I bought a Chevy Volt from them a few days ago. The car is fantastic and the purchase procedure was fine but I thought they would go over the car's features - nope. Just got handed the keys and sent into the parking lot. Cesar said (again, very honest) he really liked the car but didn't know anything about it. They couldn't even tell me what the manufacturer's warrenty was or what kind of gas it took. Luckily, I found the owners manual in the glove compartment but I ended up going to a Chevy dealer to get an orientation on the car, get the bluetooth set up, the Onstar set-up, how to read the dash, how to work the thing in general. I bought the extended warranty to 100,000 miles at Bill Jacobs after being told it has a 36,000/3yr warranty by their staff (John was generous with that and the GAP insurance pricing) but I'm finding out now most of the car is already covered by GM to 100,000 anyway so I may need to look more into that. I think if you buy a VW, it's probably all fine but be sure to do a lot of homework an any other brand you might get there as a used car.

I was very lucky to have someone who listened to what I wanted and needed and found the best fit car for me. I love my car and would not change a thing about the purchase. Not only was finding the car a great success, but everyone who worked with me during the financial part of the purchase did everything they could, as quickly as they could. I could really tell how great of a team Bill Jacobs VW has. Finally, when leaving with my new amazing car everything was clearly and thoroughly explained in great detail; that helped me get to know my car all that quicker. Overall, really great experience! I'm normally don't write reviews...I have been shopping for cars for weeks and walked away from sevral deals. Each deal felt like I was being sold a car the salesman wanted me to buy. After leaving yet another dealer later in the evening feeling like I should just get it over with. I passed by and saw a VW Passat that caught my eye. I walked into Bill Jacobs VW. A gentleman introduced me to Otis. With in minutes I was at ease. He took the time to understand my wants, what I needed and make sure I was getting the make and model that was best fit for my budget and taste. He walked me through everything making sure I had everything I needed before even starting the financing. I was impressed with how well their financing department really took the time to make sure I understood everything and they understood what I was looking for. With all the cars I've priced and test driven. The Passat TDI SEL I bought takes the cake. Those guys have a costomer for life!

I visited Bill Jacobs Volkswagen to compare a used car purchase and a new car lease. Matt McEvilly quickly got me numbers to compare both scenarios and set up test drives of both vehicles. In about two hours from walking in to the dealer (with a lot of time looking on my part), I was finishing the paperwork and driving home in my new Tiguan. This was without a doubt the best car buying experience I have ever had and would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a Volkswagen.

We bought a used vehicle for the first time in June 2014. Our experience at Bill Jacobs VW was an over all very good experience. After researching used small SUVs for sometime, we began test driving vehicles that fit our needs. This was the second vehicle, second dealership. Matt, the sales advisor, took the whole family out to ride in the vehicle. Since the vehicle was for our two teenagers to drive, it was important that they were comfortable in it and had some say. My husband and I drove the vehicle. We were ready to buy the vehicle. We felt we got a good CPO vehicle, with fairly low mileage, with a good (2 year) warranty at a fair price. There service during the sale was very good, with only 1 exception. I feel we were manipulated into financing. My advice is to ask what form of payment they require BEFORE you go there. We brought a money market check. They wanted a personal check. We had no intention of financing, but had to for 1 month and then paid it off. The finance advisor tried to convince us that paying off the loan in 1 month would hurt my perfect credit rating, so I should just pay it off over time. Really? Other than the financing issue, buying our first used vehicle at Bill Jacobs VW was a perfect experience. Six months later, the whole family is enjoying the car and we feel we made a very good purchase.

I was looking for a late model VW either Jetta or Passat. I wanted a used certified VW TDI, with sun roof and not a dark color. I had searched on-line and stopped in 5 different VW Dealerships and then one day stopped in and met a Salesman named Ricardo Echeverria at Bill jacobs. He was the 1st Salesman that knew more than I did about VWs and I am not kidding ----- I can't believe the amount of salesman that don't take the time to know their product. He also wanted to make sure I got the "right" car for me. After a few minutes I knew I would buy a car from Ricardo if he could find the right one. He found one and it sold before I could in to see it. He kept looking until one came in and he called, we had a painless negotiation and I bought the car. Even the dreaded paperwork was made easier by Donie the Finance Mgr. ----- He clearly explained all the options, answered all our questions, made recommendations and was very pleasant to work with. I really wanted a 2014 Jetta and Ricardo Echeverria was very helpful and not pushy at all!! When we walked in he listened to what we wanted and literally made sure that ever wish we had came true! I got the car that I wanted in the color I wanted at the price that I wanted and could afford! It was a wonderful experience! The finance department was great and very efficient. I didn't expect what I thought when I was going into a dealership. I hate coming dealerships and dealing with pressured salesman and being in that environment. When I went to look for a car for my son, I was greeted by kind salesman name P.J. He really made me felt at home and made the transaction really comforting and ensuring we were getting a great deal and also very efficient with paperwork so I wasn't stuck at the dealership all day. My husband and I just bought a used 2012 VW Tiguan. We worked with Otis who is absolutely awesome! He is kind, professional and really took the time to make us feel welcome and valued as a customer. Had the privilege of buying a 2012 Passat from Bill Jacobs VW. This dealership, in particular Nick their Used Car Manager, sought out a car that fit our budget parameters, brought it to the dealership, offered it to us at an ultra-fair price, then gave us a new car to drive while we waited for the certification work to be finished. Every part of the process was top-notch. PJ South, the Sales Advisor, was friendly, knowledgable, and not at all pushy. Their Finance Manager, Jason, was kind and very knowledgable about things pertaining to finance. The finance process was completely devoid of pain! I really cannot say enough about my experience with this dealership. A genuinely fine car-buying experience, one, unfortunately, that has been all too rare during my many car purchases.

First time ever buying a VW and the whole team from Rodney our salesman to Nick the used car manager worked with us for the Tiguan that my wife wanted. We were able to test drive the Tiguan over the weekend and that locked us in that this was the SUV for us. Rodney was ready for us on our return on Monday and the rest from our transfer over to the new truck from our old minivan was smooth. This is the closest VW dealership to me. I had my daughter take in her 2007 EOS because she had an airbag light on and check engine light, and a slight leak. They wanted $141.00 just to check each issue for a total of $423.00 just to tell me what was wrong. I called Joliet VW and the said they would charge $115.00 an hour until they found the problem. It took them an hour total to diagnose. Go there they are much better.

Otis is great, friendly, and I appreciate his straight "fowardness". He is also very nice, very personable, and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I was in the market for a new Jetta GLI and I knew exactly which trim I wanted. I did a bit of research before coming in to the dealership and contacted the sales department and spoke with Kevin to inquire about the model and promotion availability. He mentioned that if I were to come to the dealership to purchase the car, I would have an appointment with one of the sales managers to avoid all of the back-and-forth that normally happens when buying a car. I arrived at the dealership, greeted by Rodney. I was introduced briefly to the sales manager, but ended up dealing with Rodney the entire time. I was miffed at first, only because I had to "play the game", so to speak, but Rodney was courteous throughout the whole transaction. He went through all of my options to see what would work best for me, and while he himself could not work out a deal (surprise), the sales manager was sure able to (surprise). Had it not been for Rodney's friendly attitude while keeping me engaged, however, I would have left without a car. Although this marks my third car purchase ever, it is the first time I walked out of a dealership without that immediate sinking feeling of buyer's remorse, and I credit that largely to Rodney. He kept it real, and because of him, I left with the car I wanted at the deal I wanted.

Went in to purchase a used Ford Escape a week ago, Found the sales person to be very helpful and courteous, started to negotiate and was lowballed on the car we were going to trade in, by 75% of cars value, by the sales manager. Then we were told that they didn't want my trade in at all. I told them that if they don't want my car, I don't wants theirs. Asked for the keys to my trade in and walked out. We bought an Escape yesterday at another dealer and had a very positive experience there.

I can't say enough good things about Bill Jacobs VW. I traveled all the way from Atlanta, GA to purchase a used car that I'd been researching for quite a while. The car is rare, so the trip was necessary. In general, traveling almost 800 miles (12 hours) each way to purchase a used car is probably not the greatest idea. HOWEVER, the kind of service and personal attention I received from our sales professional Robert, and the Finance Director Kris made the trip worth it and has made me a customer for life. These guys spent the entire day with me, helped work through a few financing challenges, and made it their personal mission to make sure I didn't travel all that way for nothing. This was BY FAR the best car buying experience I have ever had, and it will certainly not be my last with Bill Jacobs VW. (I might fly next time however)

I have had many car experiences in my life but I will have to say from the time I step up to the door I had the best experience. I met my salesman, Cesar and a great informative test drive. My friend came with me and she also agreed of how wonderful, Cesar, Pete and Donie treated me to getting the VW Beetle to a deal, that I couldn't refuse to the very end with Donie in finance. My son had looked on line and saw their rating and we had visited another dealer but did not like our experience there. I bought a used car from Bill Jacobs VW. I worked with Rob Butts and Jon Stube. Rob was very pleasant to deal with. Jon was also very accommodating and reasonable. They gave me a great deal on the car. The purchase process was a bit long, but it's been a long time since I bought a car, and I suspect it's going to be like that at any dealership. I bought a used Acura, but while we were waiting, Rob and I chatted about the new VWs. His product knowledge is outstanding. If you are thinking of getting a VW, I highly recommend working with Rob. He can definitely match up your needs to the right vehicle. The facilities were extremely clean and quite comfortable. Everyone I dealt with, from the Finance guy to the Cashier, were friendly and in a good mood.

Where to start...What a complete waste of time. The original sales rep I dealt with didn't have any business cards so I asked him to email me his info - it's been over a week and I'm still waiting. The sales manager was rude and offered me a dollar amount for my trade in without seeing the car. Upon seeing the car, I was completely low-balled by a different sales rep because the sales manager couldn't even bother to step outside and I was not even invited to go into the dealership. The sales rep became slightly belligerent when we didn't like his figures and basically told us to go somewhere else...little did he know I was ready to pay cash for the car. Suddenly my trade in price more than doubled and the price of the car I was looking at went up too...curious, huh? I will NEVER go back to this dealership again. A car is not worth dealing with this level of shoddy used car salesmen. Take my advice and stay away - save yourself all the frustration that I've gone through!

I bought a used mini cooper from them mid August, at the point of purchase I saw that the car failed emission test once. When I asked the reason why, I was told all is good, they took care of it. Exactly 32 days and just driving over 200 miles after the car broke down, which could cost me 5-6 grand!!! When I called their service, the guy on the line said since you did not buy extended warranty and you bought it as-is I can't help! Can you believe it! No honor at all, I was assured impute of the emission failure, it was a mechically sound car. Am talking to their GM now. Do your research. Take it from me, having car trouble after you just shelled out a lot to buy it is painful.

the sales staff mislead us several times on the 2001 mustang 2001 ford VIN:1FAFP45X91F176231 major issues. We agreed on a price one night, I was to sign the deal the next night, Then the price went down on the internet listing. we called and they said to bad. If you dont like it dont buy it. My wife really wanted me to buy the car and worked with the general manager. we agreed on a new price, only if we could take it and get the car checked out. The shop we took it to found a major issues. The dealership told us now the price is back up another 1000 dollars. Now they went back on there word again. Then they said once more, if you dont like the deal, there is the door. WE WALKED AWAY A SECOND TIME! WORST SALES STAFF EVER. jacking the price back up when we are ready to sign is a underhanded sleazy way to do business. Myself and my Family will NEVER shop at ANY bill Jacobs again. The sad thing is that in 2008 we bought a new car from the Bill Jacobs and did not se these issues. Dont buy the yellow mustang, dont buy any bill jaocbs cars, the are underhanded and pushing cars with known issues.
