Was treated with respect from the time I got out of the car until the time I was in a new 2017 Forte KIA lease. The salesman was not pushy. Let me ask my questions. The discounts applied where great. Got a price I can live with.

Online purchase

I purchased a used vehicle online with some interactions vie phone. Overall the experience was good, the sales rep was timely with responses and easy to work with. They delivered the vehicle to Maine which was a nice benefit. I would recommend them but would also still recommend that the buyer check the car fully before buying. I am dealing with a few minor issues that would have been addressed if I had done the deal in person.

I have never experienced such great service! From the sales dept to the finance dept, everyone was helpful and nice. I called in the morning and by that evening I had my new car delivered to me! Highly recommend anyone to go and get their car here.

Disappointed

The only reason we bought our car at Berlin City is that we could afford to pay cash for the vehicle we chose. The employees who are rated, i.e., Service Dept., seem to be overly concerned with "10" perfect ratings rather than excellence. Employees appear to generally work from a script without having a personal touch. Every time we have taken our car in for servicing the estimated appt. time has been much longer than stated. Additionally, the service dept employees seem to always find something else that needs attention as if they're trained to do so and our final bill is significantly higher than we have expected. We look fwd to making a change of mechanic as long as it does not affect our Warranty protection.

Not a good dealership to deal with

I have bought 3 new Kia's from them and 1 used one. The used one I was not happy with so I tried to trade it in for another Kia model.. They would not work within my budget.. Found several other dealerships that were willing to finance me at my payment range. I ended up getting a newer vehicle with fewer miles on it comparable to the one I attempted to buy there. They have lost my business forever.

I'd go nowhere else either for service (thanks Ryan!), or for sales (thanks Brian and Art!). They've always been totally upfront with me, showing me what's wrong with my old car - taking me out to the shop! When Mona died and I needed a new car, I never once felt pressured - they never even called me even though I took the prospective new car home and returned later than expected. The new car is a lot more car than I expected. It turns out to be less expensive to have this new car than it did for me to keep the old car... and I'm back driving stick... I'd recommend Berlin City Kia 110%. I would also give 5 stars to the excellent buying process, but the website wouldn't let me!!

A dealership that's focused on open pricing, hones

A dealership that's focused on openAlthough the used inventory is more limited than some other Kia dealerships, I wouldn't pause for a moment to not recommend this dealership! During my most recent visit I worked with Steve Drill a young man with a very positive honest demeanor. Steve encouraged me to find the vehicle that fit my budget and my taste, versus just my budget. There was some encouragement from others at the dealership to settle on another car, but once I was clear on the two different vehicles I wanted they worked hard to accommodate. I'll admit that although I didn't end up purchasing my car here, because they didn't have the vehicle that best suited my needs at the time, they did try really hard to search every one of their other 14 dealerships for the right vehicle. I've only had 3-4 experiences with dealerships and salesmen, and worked in commission back in the day in retail, and I know it's a cut throat profession, but this dealership has convinced me that the traditional stereotypes about car sales people doesn't fit everyone in the business, especially when you're considering Berlin City Kia. I will be going to this dealership to service my Kia Forte5 and will be visiting them when I'm ready to trade again! pricing, honest salesman, and decent inventory options.

Buying a car doesn't have to hurt....

Our first Berlin City Kia, a 2008 Spectra was a great car--but our Vermont winters finally got to it. We decided to look into buying a Soul, and returned to Berlin City because of the experience we'd had with our first purchase. Reaching out through the internet, Charlie Cobb was our Sales Guide. Arriving at Berlin City, we discovered that Charlie had the car ready for us. After a brief conversation, we went directly to the finance manager. Because of Charlie's work in advance of our arrival, signing the documents actually took longer than finding the car.

Super Car Buying Experience

On 10/28/15 we took possession of our 2nd Kia Soul, but this was by no means a typical car buying experience. The car belongs to my son who has Asperger Syndrome. He spends most of his time in his room with headphones on to cope with it. He is 29 and hates leaving the house but is a very good driver. When we could afford it we helped him buy a NEW car. He decided on a Kia Soul for all the right reasons, visibility, handling, safety features and reliability all very important because of his AS. We live in St. Johnsbury and he does great around town but refuses to go on the highway unless there is no back road he can use. Great dealership!

I needed to buy a car fast... so I shopped online to get a feel for the market. Berlin City's site was clearly designed, easy to use and the prices were right! I called and made an appointment to test drive the car I had picked out. My sales guide was ready for me, but the car needed some work. It got done on time as promised. They made all the paper work easy, and took care of all the details. I recommend Berlin City and the great folks who work there. I love my new to me car, and now I tell everyone about Berlin City!

Awesome experience with great people!!!

I had such a great experience working with Brian from the williston location. I had a trade in that I found out wasnt worth much more than a dime but they didnt penalize me for that. They worked hard to get me the financing that I needed. Brian never approached me like a money hungry sales person. We spoke on the phone several times before I came in to test drive and when I did I never felt pressured into anything. I am so happy with my purchase and would recommend anyone I know to go see Brian for their next car purchase! Thanks again Brian!

The easiest car buying experience i have had yet.

I stopped in one night just to look around and talked to my soon to be sales man Steve Drill. We looked over the lot and nothing struck my interest so he said to check out the web site and let him know of anythi g caught my eye. That night I was browsing their online inventory and came across the car I would later purchase. I called up Steve the next day made an appointment to test drive the car. He answered all my questions about the car very candidly. My previous car was apraised for trade and I was given a fair deal there was no need to haggle I felt at all. It was a very fair and easy process. I look forward to deal I g with burlin city Kia for my repairs as well. Just a great car buying experience.

I love my soul.

The buying process was certainly different from what I expected and was used to...but I ended up with exactly the car I wanted at a fair price and with a great interest rate on my loan. I am 70 years old and this is only the 3rd dealer I have ever used. I am very glad we stopped in to Berlin City (just to look, mind you) because a little over three hours later I drove my new car home. We will definitely think of this dealership if we should need a new car.

I've owned more than forty cars over the years, many of them purchased new. I used to love buying a new car but over the last twenty years or so some of our time with dealers has been anything but enjoyable. Our recent dealing with Berlin City, however was easy and actually enjoyable! The sales team were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with the entire transaction. Kristine represented Berlin City Kia with the utmost professionalism! She was quick to respond at every stage of my buying experience, "acknowledged every question asked, explained her answers in detail, maintained a human element while conducting business, was patient and if she did not know the answer she was honest about it and immediately researched an answer. Kristine was respectful to the fact that I wanted to communicate in writing and was not pushy at any time. She greeted me within seconds of my arrival and as we progressed through the process she presented me with a bouquet of flowers! As for the functionality of new amenities on my new vehicle, Kristine explained everything slowly and did not mind repeating instructions for me. When in the financing aspect of this process Chris was also very professional and also explained things in detail. Not pushy in the least! My experience was top of the line and I believe with that kind of a foundation building a future business relationship should be something to look forward to!

Stay away from Berlin City!!!

I leased a Kia Sportage from Berlin City 36 months ago and never felt good about the purchase. I went to turn in the car today and they tried to repeat the same overpriced lease they sold me 3 years ago. I told them Kia was advertising better deals on their website and the sales people Mike and Derek told me I was mistaken and the vehicles that were advertised were not the same that they had in inventory. My wife and I left this dealership very disgusted with these salespersons tactics, and drove 50 miles out of our way and leased a vehicle that was very close to what we were anticipating as advertised on Kia's website. The salespeople were rude and condescending. The service department is just as bad. If you can avoid this dealership, I highly recommend Capital City in Montpelier.

Terrible Delivery of Product

Employees were nice enough to deal with but was not satisfied with delivery of product. I was interested in a Chevy Cobalt advertised on their website and while checking the vehicle history saw that the car had a recall on it. I inquired with the sales person (Anthony) and asked if the recall issue had been resolved. Come to find out the car was still missing a part needed to make it safe to drive. I was not happy to find that I had been assured the issue had been fixed when in fact it had not. I also found out that the part is on back order from GM and the dealership had no idea when it would come in. In the meantime they loaned me a car to drive. After about two weeks of waiting they told me I needed to sign a contract in order to keep using the loaner car. I explained that I did not feel comfortable signing a contract when I couldn't actually drive home with the car so I gave back the keys. After this, they suggested other cars in their inventory, which were out of my price range. I was not happy that they were trying to sell me another car instead of delivering the car that was supposed to be available. I told them I could wait a little longer. I was willing to keep waiting and was assured by the dealership that the car would not be sold out from under me. Later, while looking through their inventory on their website I found that they were re advertising the car I was waiting for. I emailed Anthony asking why the car was being re advertised when I had been told it would not be sold out from under me. I never heard back. I was able to talk to Art and he told me that because of a policy they were required to re advertise the car but I was still not happy with this. After over a month of trying to do business with this dealer I decided to look elsewhere.
