It was pleasant experience to meet and work with David Elliott when I purchased my Subaru Outback at Belknap Subaru in Tilton, NH. There was no pressure and the atmosphere was relaxed. David was professional and friendly and at the same time took care of my concerns and questions. I know I can stop by at anytime and he will help me out. He is a wonderful personality to have at that dealership.I brought my car into the service center a week later for a couple of extras and was greeted by friendly people. David was also there for me. Everything was taken care of quickly in a professional manner - thank you Brian in the service center for making my car look great. I also must say that the Business Manager, Brian King, spent extra time with me answering all of my questions with patience. We bought a Subaru a few years back from your dealership. When time came to trade our truck, we contacted our sales person and found out that he is no longer working at Belknap Subaru. Nevertheless, he gave us a name of another sales person, David Elliott, and promised that we will be treated fairly by him. It worked great! David Elliott had been alerted to our arrival. He met us outside with the car cooled down with air conditioning. He was friendly, easy to work with and very accommodating. We traded our truck and bought a Subaru Forrester from David. I was shopping to replace my large Toyota Highlander with a smaller crossover with adequate cargo space, safety features, comfort, and reliability, especially for winter driving. Our sales consultant, Nate Barnett, did an exceptional job of convincing me that the Outlander 3.6R would meet my needs. The general manager made a trade-in offer on the Highlander that slightly exceeded Toyota's, and the finance manager made the payment process easy. All in all, Belknap Motors made buying a Subaru a pleasant experience, and so far the vehicle has met expectations.

I purchased a used 2013 Impreza with 22k miles from Belknap Subaru. After driving the car for 2k miles the low oil light came on, it took 4 trips back to the dealership to resolve the problem: start an oil consumption test, check the results, leave the car for a week (almost new Outback loaner at no charge), back to pick up the car, same day I picked up the car the check engine light comes on (bad O2 sensor), so back to get that serviced. All repairs were covered under the Subaru warranty, so no issue with Subaru, and I do not feel that Belknap knew about the issue when they sold the car. All the repairs were done well and I have not had an issue since.I spoke to my sales person and the sales manager because I felt the dealership should have stepped up and compensated me for the headache with a service maintenance plan but was told "we didn't build your car" and they would (begrudgingly) do one free oil change if it would make me happy. I said no thank you and will take my future business elsewhere.

I recently purchased a 2016 Subaru Outback Limited fully loaded, from Belknap Subaru and salesman David Elliot. David made the process painless, informative and fun. After several phone conversations with him I visited the dealership and David had an Outback waiting for me to test drive. As we drove he explained all the features (all of which were new for me since my last car purchase was my 2002 Subaru Forester with 213,000 miles). Time for a new ride, all I needed to do was decide on options and color. Absolutely no pressure from David, we negotiated what I felt was a very fair price and all of my questions were answered fully. I recently bought a 2016 Subaru Outback Premium here. This is our 8th Subaru and the 2nd from Belknap Subaru and David Miles. David helped sort out the best model to fit my needs (without having to include options that I didn't want). David then located the right car (color, model, and most options) at the docks. He was then able to get it outfitted with a few additional requested options (trailer hitch, seatback protector, and 120v outlet). The car was delivered with little wait and was just what I wanted. Best of all, it was at a fair price. Although this review is about the new car, We have used Belknap Subaru for maintenance and repair on our cars for the past 8 years and have always been treated well.

My aunt and uncle had arranged for their own financing from the company they already have a car financed with. They had a check for a specific amount. They found the perfect car here. They saw it online. Called and spoke with Dave Elliot. Dave took all the information. Then called and said it was a done deal. All they had to do was show up, sign the papers, and drive away. My aunt & uncle live almost 3 hours away one way. They made the trip expecting no issues. When they arrived all of a sudden a mysterious $1546 extra charge showed up. The dealer said it was for a dealer fee the finance company was charging them. My aunt called the finance company and was told there was never such a fee charged to the consumer. According to the finance company, the dealership was just trying to charge them for the kickback that the dealership normally receives from using their own pet banks and finance companies. End result no car and a lot of wasted time and travel expenses.

David's made the entire car buying process not only easy, but also pleasurable and fun! He did not pressure or seem to be in a hurry for me to make decisions. He genuinely seemed to want to be certain that I was happy with my choice and spent time ensuring that my questions were answered to my satisfaction. Every detail was taken care of, from having a test-drive car ready for me upon arrival, pulling other cars out for me to sit in and view options, and reviewing the way in which different options worked. He even, once I decided on a car, transferred all of my belongings from my old to the new car as I worked with the purchase and financing representative. Before leaving that same day in my new car, he sat in the car with me to go over everything I needed to know about all of the controls and mechanisms of the car. Before I got to the dealer, I was not looking forward to the process of buying a new car, but at every step I was pleasantly surprised and felt well informed and cared for.

We drove 5 hours roundtrip from Vermont (twice) to buy our new Subaru Outback from Dave Elliott and his manager Mark Mallahan at Belknap Subaru and it was worth it! We were drawn to Dave and the dealership by an on-line quote and all the positive reviews we read (plus an unpleasant experience with a salesman at a more local dealership). Except for having to pay for a few extras that were already equipped on the car of our choice, the transaction couldn't have been more perfect and Dave couldn't have been more helpful. He was open to meeting with us on our schedule, not his, and "held our hands" through the whole process. Go there and see Dave.

I'm currently driving my second Subaru that I acquired from Belknap Subaru. My experience the first time around was great and when the lease was up on my CrossTrek in January 2016, I returned once again to hopefully lease another CrossTrek or Forester. I decided to go with another CrossTrek. Dave Miles was my Sales person both times and he was very informative and helpful. They had a car on their lot that had the features I was hoping to get and they had a set of crossrails in stock that they were able to add to the siderails on the car. Their cars also have a lot of Standard features which is great. This dealership is very nice and clean and everyone from sales, finance, customer service to the service dept. is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This was the best car buying experience in over forty years. Scott Ives is an amazing manager and his excellence is matched by Dave Elliot's knowledge and customer care. From my first sign of interest ,he provided a test drive, answers, assistance and info I needed to make an informed decision. He invited me to take the car overnight and was never "pushy" the way so many car salesmen are. When I returned the car,the next day he simply said," so, what are you thinking?" Then he answered the 14 questions I had in a way that made me feel intelligent and not automotively challenged. I highly recommend Belknap Subaru and encourage you to tell Dave I sent you. In 2003 I bought a Impreza outback sport from a used car dealer. I had friends tell me I shouldn't have bought a Subaru because they are expensive to repair. In the five years that I owned it I only replaced a belt and wheel bearings. When I needed the bearings replaced the local garage said they couldn't do it . So I called Belknap Subaru. Talked to their service department . They had the parts in stock and I could bring it in that afternoon. They couldn't have been nicer. For a few reasons I felt I needed a car with more ground clearance so I traded the Impreza in at a different dealership and got a used Ford Escape. Worst mistake I ever made. It was a money pit. I had to replace several sets of tires (it wouldn't stay aligned until I took it somewhere other than the dealership), replaced the drive shaft, replaced the battery every other year , replaced a part to the ABS twice and numerous other parts. The final straw was one morning I went to go to work and had no brakes. I went online and compared several vehicles I was interested in and made a list of ones I wanted more information on. The Subaru Crosstrek was number one on my list. I was trying to get a quote on the Crosstrek. I got an email from David Elliott saying they couldn't give me a quote without more information and they did have one in stock. I went to the dealership the next day saw the car and talked to David. The monthly payment to buy the car was out of my price range. He asked if I had considered leasing. I said I hadn't so he explained it to me. After thinking about it I decided it was a great option for me. He asked me when I would like to sign the paperwork and take delivery, maybe the next day. I said I really wanted to finalize the deal and drive the car home, I didn't want to wait another day. The business manager was very busy but he fit me in and I left with a new car.

Said plainly: this was the best car buying experience I've ever had. Our sales guy, David Miles, was pleasant and seemed genuinely interested in putting us in a car that we wanted to own rather than treating us as nothing more than a sale. My wife and I drove 2 1/2 hours to see a car at Belknap and, as foolish as I thought we were being at the time, I plan on making the drive again when we're shopping for our next car.

I was helping my Son to purchase a used Subaru. This was going to be a difficult purchase because his credit history was not good. We checked with dealers and used car lots within about 50 miles of our location (northern Mass), but with no luck. All of the cars we found were either way over priced (because of the high finance rate imposed due to his poor credit rating) or were complete junk. We almost gave up the search, but then decided to look a little further away (about 90 miles) and found Belknap Subaru in Tilton, NH. They had a 2006 Forester in pretty much mint condition that they just took in and were offering for a very fair price. We called and made an appointment to see the car and it was exactly what we wanted, and in great condition. Eric was the sales consultant and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the features and advantages of the Subaru product line. The financing was going to be the deciding factor and Belknap searched through several financing institutions before we found an acceptable deal. The business manager, Brian, even went back to one financing source to get us an even better deal. I have never experienced this level of dedication and service at any other auto dealership that I have done business with. These guys could have easily sold that 2006 Forester to other customers on the same day we looked at it, but they stuck with us and secured a great financing deal. We even ran into a few paperwork issues (on our end) that caused a ten day delay in signing the final documents, but they still stuck with us and graciously held the deal together. Please understand that there was not a lot of profit that these guys were making from this sale of a used Subaru, and yet their dedication a support of this small transaction really highlighted the fact that this dealership is totally dedicated to customer service and satisfaction. And this support and philosophy is evident in the entire organisation. They have definitely earned our respect and we will absolutely go back to them for future vehicles. The 90 mile travel distance is a very small price to pay for such outstanding service and support. Thank You Eric and Brian !!

A few years ago, I looked at an Outback at another NH dealer and had a negative experience right from the get go. Although I had liked the Outback, the experience of a super pushy salesperson really left a bad taste in my mouth and I ended up purchasing a Jeep. This time around, I had decided to try out Belknap Subaru. From the get go, Don Charrette was the right kind of salesperson for me. He was easy going, took the time to help me identify my needs, and got me the exact Outback that I wanted. He also worked with me in a fair manner on pricing, honoring a discount program that I receive through my professional association. I had to wait a bit because my vehicle needed to be ordered but Don eased the waiting process by emailing me updates. When the vehicle arrived, Don took the time to explain and demonstrate all of the vehicle's features. He even paired my iPhone! We worked with "Smoothie" David Elliot who was great! my husband and I came in with a vehicle to test drive in mind and within 10 minutes he went over the car with us and gave us the keys for a test drive. No pushing or trying to "sell" us the car just facts and honest answers to our questions. when we went over numbers for a possible buy they took our considerations into account and tried to get us the best deal possible with no rush for a decision and no pushing us to buy. which was great because it took us quite a while! The facility was great and they provided snacks and drinks for my son as we waited. Very satisfied with our purchase and overall experience.

I just purchased my 1st Subaru from Belknap Subaru and David Elliott AKA Smoothy. He was so great to work with on the whole buying process. I inquired into the dealership via Internet and he was the first one to respond quicker than others, he contacted me through phone and we spoke for a good 20 min. His personalty over the phone was so relaxed and calm, once I made the decision to come down to see David he was there to greet me at the door and had my 2016 Legacy Premium all cleaned & prepped for my arrival. Gave me a tour of facility and walked me through every step from the beginning to the end, showed me the features of the Star-link. We put off buying a new car for a year because we dislilke the usual process. However we were told that working with David Miles would be a wonderful experience. How true!!! I was apprehensive about buying a new car due to experiences at other dealerships that left a lot to be desired. Those feelings of apprehension melted away however the day I set foot in Belknap Subaru. I got matched up with Nate Barnett and he was a fantastic salesman. I had made an appointment with him for a test drive, and though I mentioned I wouldn't be ready to buy for a month or so, I was expecting the pushiness I had seen with salesmen in the past. Nate was not pushy in the least! He took me for a test drive, answered all of my questions about the Crosstrek, and gave me some food for thought in terms of options and the like. When we were finished, he told me to have a great day and that he'd see me when I was ready to buy. Honestly, my jaw dropped. He didn't even ask if I wanted to come in and talk numbers. Sure enough, when I was ready to buy, I gave them a call and they provided me with excellent customer service - going through each available option and weighing out the pros and cons with me. There was not a single time I felt pressured or pushed toward anything, and they kept me incredibly well informed about everything as I waited for my new car to arrive. Delivery day came and the finance department was just as personable and helpful as Nate was! If I could give them a higher rating than just five stars, I would. I would not hesitate to send any of my family or friends to see Nate to facilitate their purchase of a new Subaru.

I stopped at Belknap Subaru to look and maybe test drive an Impreza, and before I knew it I had spent the better part of an afternoon. I drove the Impreza, and then the Crosstrek and an Outback and lastly a Forester. I decided on a Forester as it suits my lifestyle best. I named her "Beulah"...and she is a gem! I am extremely pleased with her performance and comfort not to mention the gas mileage! Her sun roof is huge making her almost feel like a convertible! Eric Natal was a wonderful salesman, he knows his product, and was able to answer all my questions with ease. He was very patient and never once did I feel pressured or bothered with phone calls. If you're considering a Subaru...go see Eric at Belknap, he'll take good care of you! The dealership is top notch too...you won't be sorry!

My husband and I were very happy with the service we received from Belknap Subaru. This was our first time purchasing a Subaru and our first experience with this dealer. The response to my initial email inquiry was almost immediate, and Dave Elliott, the sales associate who handled our transaction from the beginning all the way though the completion of the sale, was friendly, easy to communicate with and very knowledgeable about the vehicle. Dave went out of his way to spend as much time answering our questions as needed, and we felt very well taken care of. The buying process was smooth and easy with no pricing games and minimal haggling (only my husband seemed interested in playing that particular game). The dealership is undergoing some minor interior construction but all the same the space was clean and offered a lot of nice touches, including the fireplace in the waiting area (we bought in summer but I can imagine that's particularly nice in the winter months!), and the service department was huge, clean and appeared to be practically brand new. I wouldn't hesitate to refer a friend or to purchase from this dealer again myself!

Actually, we were looking for a new all wheel drive vehicle to replace our Subaru Outback and did not know if the new ones were would be as good. After looking at the competitors we arrived at Belknap Subaru an Nathan Barnett came out right away. We test drove a new Outback and were impressed with the comfort and ride. We found Nathan to be very personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable so along with the performance of the Outback and Nathan's salesmanship we decided to pursue our second Subaru. Once the decision was made the purchase was the very well done with no hassle good price and felt we were treated with respect. I'll cut straight to the point. My wife and I were in the market for a new Subaru Legacy. We were referred to Belknap Subaru by multiple family members, and decided to swing by and test the water. We did the typical preparatory car dealership pep talk and arrived on the defensive in anticipation of the standard full frontal assault you generally are met with when you walk through the glass doors of the showroom. I stand corrected in my assumption. We were met by relaxed and cordial individuals who asked if we needed any assistance, and when told we were currently just browsing there was no pressure. We eventually began speaking to Dave Miles in regards to exactly what we were looking for. First off, Dave was a fantastic Sales Consultant. He was honest and to the point. There was no facade or smoke and mirrors with him. There were no games played. He broke down the numbers, and explained everything in detail every step of the way. He presented all the options, but Dave wasn't pushy, and also didn't act desperate for the sale; which showed strong character. Secondly, Dave is a car guy. He was knowledgeable not only of the entire Subaru line, but vehicles in general. It was clear he didn't just memorize the stats from the Subaru book. In the end we drove away with a new 2015 Legacy well below sticker price. If you're in the market for a new Subaru, Belknap provides a top notch experience with honesty and integrity. And while you're there, ask for Dave Miles, you won't be disappointed.

Dale Rollins and Eric Natal were fantastic. So out of character for what one would expect of auto salesmen. No pressure, games or trickery just patience, honesty and respect. I left with literally no questions, no reservations, no doubt that the purchases I made were the right ones. The car looked great, David was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and when I arrived in NH (a 5 hr trip from my house) - the car was exactly as described - absolutely no surprises. We have never been treated so well at any car dealership in our lives. David is a true professional and knows the cars inside and out. The best parts of our experience with this dealership are many. We were encouraged to test drive as many vehicles as we wanted. The day that we were shopping was our 'information' day. The day we got to know the cars inside and out. There was no pressure to buy, ever. The interest rates that we were quoted over the phone were actually less when we signed our closing documents then what we were quoted. We were given additional benefits that we weren't even aware of when we were signing our closing documents. We got a wonderful tour of the entire facility, including being introduced to those in the service department and in the garage. We were given a full tour of our car along with all of the features that it offered. We traded in three vehicles and they were nice enough to come to our house to pick up the third as we had no additional way to get there. When they told us that they wanted to establish a relationship, I completely believe them. This dealership is customer service at its best. David is excellent at his job. Jeff Broom, the finance manager, was unbelievable. I gave him a task that others told me he would not be doable. He got it done and even better than what he had promised. We truly love our new Imprezas and really, really enjoyed working with everyone at Belknap Subaru. I will not shop anywhere else again for a car.

I went over to check out a Subaru Baja that was listed, talked to Eric Natal about the Baja, he was very forthcoming about the vehicle and repairs that needed to be done before they could deliver the vehicle. He didn't rush or pressure me at all, made sure any questions I had were answered, great guy! I ended up putting a deposit down that day. Picked up the Baja a few days later, I was (and am) impressed with the professionalism of the entire dealership. Excellent facilities and waiting area. Called about a car listed on their website, made time to drive down there on a Sunday and when I got there conveniently was told that the car was not actually for sale. I mentioned that it may be a good idea to take it off the website, the elderly man pretenteded that he didn't hear me and kept talking about about some old outback junker. Three cars I went down to check out, one wasn't for sale and the other two they had no info on because they still had to be "gone through". ALL THREE WERE ON THE WEBSITE LISTED FOR SALE. I don't think these people respect the fact that some people don't have time to be led to dealerships for games. If you list a car for sale, have it ready to be bought. On a side note, one man named Don, was very nice and helpful.

Don Charrette is the most prepared and detailed salesperson I have ever met. In preparing a used car for my daughter (who was coming from Connecticut), the car was ready for her to drive off the lot. His attention to detail and follow through was exceptional. In addition, my daughter inadvertently sent her title out to the West coast. Don saw the previous owner of my daughters car and thought to have them sign paperwork that would be needed to start the long process of obtaining a new title. So impressive! I also want to say that in Don's absence (day off) Mark the Sales Manager was exceptional in offering alternatives and said he would do what needed to be done to expedite this process. I am so impressed that I will be going back to Don and this dealership for my next vehicle.

Can't say enough good things about our Sales Associate, Dave Miles, and the Sales Manager, Mark Mallahan. We walked in on a Sunday which was good for us as I think I remember only Dave being on duty. That was our good fortune. No pressure on buying my 2012 Subaru (new at the time); keys were handed to us for a test drive. If we liked it, we could buy, if not; ok. While Dave obviously would have wanted to sell us a car, there was no sales pitch like "we can only give you a deal if you buy today", etc. Very good experience. Then when we actually purchased we met Mark. Again, very pleasant, no pressure, and easy to deal with. The Belknap waiting room for servicing is bright, large, and pleasant. Always popcorn and snacks, coffee. Magazines and TV to watch. Service department has always been accommodating and pleasant to deal with; car gets washed even with just an oil change. This dealership also offers price match on service; find a deal for a certain price and they will match it. My only suggestion is to install at least one computer in the waiting area for customer use, two would be better. Oh, and my Subaru Outback? It's now got 31,000 miles and running strong. Great car to drive, gets about 28 miles to the gallon, handles well, and so far, no mechanical problems. I hope to have it for another ten years!

My wife and I just had a baby, and we decided it was time for a bigger car. After a long search, we decided the 2015 Subaru Forester was the most suitable option. We shopped at two other area dealerships, and felt they were not a good fit. I don't generally write reviews, and I know that internet reviews can often reach a shocking level of brutality, but I'm pretty comfortable saying that Ed Reilly subaru is not the best place to buy your car. Belknap Subaru was the 3rd dealership we visited, and I was very impressed by the personal and professional level of salesmanship that I encountered. Dave Miles was our salesman. He was personable, related to our needs, and his knowledge of the product helped us make a confident, well-educated decision. We were shopping at a time when the inventory at all the dealerships we visited seemed quite low, but Dave was able to fine the exact car I wanted, and deliver it within a very reasonable time-frame. I'm also very happy with the outstanding price that I got. I have and will continue to refer friends to this dealership. Dave Miles is a refreshing and courteous no-pressure salesperson. At this time, I can easily see myself heading to Belknap subaru first when it's time to do it all over agin.

Well let me start by saying this isn't a hastily done review. My wife and I purchased our car from Dave Elliot at Belknap Subaru in April 2013. I walked in the dealership 20 min. Before they open and to my delight was greated by chipper sales staff and free coffee. I had been looking on the internet before and they had the car my wife wanted at a fair price that was lower then my 2 closest subaru dealers so I went in to look. I to my surprise once there it took 30 min. to negotiate an agreed to price that ended up a fair amount lower then my nearest dwaler was advertising. I left and said I would be back that afternoon and got my family and headed back. Paper work was easy and quick and the finance guy didn't try to push useless window vin etching and such nonsense on us. All that was pushed was "The belknap difference" which is a branded way to say a year of free oil changes and a free car detailing on my birthday. The wife loves her orange car which is great. Service is easy to book I usualy call an hour before I show up and they get me right in. Had a defective front shock and they notified me during an oil change, showed me the shock, and told me it was ordered at no cost to me. During repairs I got a nice loaner (1 year old loaded legacy) and repairs were done quickly. I returned to a fixed and washed/vcleaned car and went on my way. The dealer is so customer oriented I still drive the 70 miles one way for oil changes and service. Couldnt recommend them enough.

We are from Pennsylvania and needed to purchase a vehicle for our daughter who is living in New Hampshire. Imagine the difficulties involved in completing such a transaction from more than 400 miles away. David Elliott and the rest of the staff at Belknap dedicated themselves to making this complex transaction work smoothly. They ran interference between the bank and the insurance carrier with equal ease, making my life quite a bit easier. David was terrific and especially aware of my concerns as a father. He was easily available by phone and was very understanding when the bank, the insurance folks, and the State of New Hampshire seemed to be involved in what could only be called crosstalk. He weathered the complexities like a pro and with a smile. My daughter drove out of the dealership not more than a week after my wife and I walked in to look at a used 2010 Subaru Legacy sedan. Dave was able to put his finger on the maintenance history of this vehicle in an instant - we were very pleased. What a great experience. I traveled 3 hours to the dealership and I was a bit nervous about buying "out of town". They were great. I am active duty military and stationed in NY so we had originally ordered the car from the factory as we were in no rush to pick it up. The sales person we dealt with was Eric Natal. He was a great help and had a very good level of knowledge about the vehicle. When we went to pick up the car however, the sales manager was very abrasive and rude. It really took the excitement out of the whole experience of buying a new car. Overall we are very happy with the car as well as working with Eric, however if at all possible, I would recommend staying clear of the sales manager there.

I purchased my 2013 Subaru Impreza from Belknap Subaru and sales consultant David Elliott not too long ago. All I have to say is that was the best car buying experience I had. Before I purchased from them I had been in contact with 2 other Subaru dealerships including Belknap via email, when I emailed all three dealerships I received price quotes and Manchester & Concord both emailed a better price than Belknap so drove to both dealerships to see what I was getting a great deal on, when I arrived to concord the vehicle was already sold and no one contacted me to let me know, so I walked away. Then I pulled into Manchester that same day and the vehicle I received a price on was out front and ready to drive after the test drive I sat down with sale person and he said that the price had changed and went up another $1,586.00 and they couldn't give me a reason why. At that time I had a decision to make whether I should just buy from them even though they mislead me the wrong price and the fact I drove a far distance or contact Belknap Subaru in the end they were very close to the final price at Manchester. I contacted Belknap Subaru and asked if the Impreza I first inquired on was still available to purchase and he said yes so I left and went to Belknap Subaru, lets just say I drove away with a new Subaru from them because it was accurate information and David Elliott made it very comfortable to purchase right from the beginning of walking into the dealership. I was an auto tech for 15 years; my own garage for 7 years. I've sold cars at 3 places too. Belknap Subaru was the best place I've ever been treated,either working at, OR buying a car! They gave me their best offer on both leasing & purchasing which I was not used to. Normally I've had sales people and managers, keep calling (or as I like to call it harassing me) until I have say HEY,I won't ever buy a car from you!! I could see all the employees were happy, and respectfull to myself, and other customers too. I was most impressed by my sales person Eric, with his product knowledge, because of my detailed questions from my background. I usually spend 50 hours, online & test driving every time I buy a car. How many people do YOU know that bought a car and within 12 hours to 12 months were not happy? I don't believe it will happen to you here. The product is solid, as is this dealership! Wrecked my wifes old care avoiding a deer and decided to swing in on a saturday. Found a price on the internet that was $4500 less then my closes subaru dealer and went in to see if it was true. Sure enough they had the car in the ugly orange my wife wanted BUT it had a fair amount of add-ons already installed (rear bumper guard, electric start, all weatger floor mats, rubber cargo liner) and so after 45 min. Of discussion tge price dropped $500 more even with all the accessories on it. Took a total of 2.5 hrs at the dealer from going in to browse to leaving with a new car. Ended up getting a better interest rate then i assumed i would and all in all it was painless.Ive been in for service once now for one of my free oil changes (you get 2 i believe) and even though i wanted it done earlier then recomended they allowed me to use a free one. The service also went well, called at 8:45 and got an 11AM same day appointnent. Oil was changed, car was vaccumed, and car was washed before it was returned to me all for the price of $0.00. Sales staff was good, GM has a great sense of humor and attitude, finance guy was good to us, and the service staff thus far have been great as well. Ill be back next time i need a new car.

I just purchased my third Forester here at Belknap Subaru. There is a dealership closer to my home, but the treatment at Belknap is top notch. My salesman this time was Eric Natal. He was great! He really knew the features of my car and took his time to explain the changes in the 2014 model and made sure I was comfortable with them before I left. He also took my phone calls the next few weeks when I would call and ask,"How did you say I change the clock?". and other silly things I forgot. He was always friendly and willing to help. The financing process was "painless". I never felt pressured with any of my purchases at Belknap as I had at another dealership. Belknap Subaru is worth the drive, besides it gives me more time to enjoy the features of my new retirement toy :)!!!!!

I was buying cars from different dealerships for at least dozen times in a past, but nobody even comes close to the service you get at Belknap Subaru. We were shopping for 2014 Forester all over Maine and New Hampshire - those guys not only had the exact vehicle in stock (not "in transit" like everybody else), but also I was able to get the best price over the phone without any hassle. We drove 170 miles to the dealership and it was worth it. In less than 2 hours we test drove 2 cars, got all the financing done and drove our new Forester Limited away. No pressure of any kind, very helpful, honest staff. At Belknap Subaru all new cars come with two complimentary scheduled maintenance services. I went there again yesterday to get one done and also to buy some accessories and they not only matched one of the West Coast dealerships online prices, but also installed them for me free of charge as well. Not a big deal, but it feels like those guys will go an extra mile to make a customer happy. I would highly recommend Belknap Subaru to anyone shopping for a new car.

We have been to Belknap Subaru only a handful of times, and it has always been a plesant experience, but our last trip has earned all of our future service business. while our Outback was in for routine service, the tech working on our car noted two problems: one of two cooling fans had failed, and the starter was failing. even though we were over 20,000 miles beyond the warranty period, Mark offered to take care of these issues at no cost to us!

It was a pleasure to buy my new car from Belknap Subaru, all of the staff were very friendly. Every person I dealt with at Belknap Subaru including the managers, sales person (Dave Miles) and finance manager were positive and friendly. At no time during any part of the process did I feel pressured to make a decision, they were great! I have to admit that I went to the dealership I had my guard up because of several bad dealership experiences in the past. They were very sincere and seemed to be genuinely interested in gaining my business. It has been my experience in the past that the sales person does a great job, is likeable and friendly and then in comes some "closing manager". I was ready for it and it never happened at Belknap Subaru, I was surprised because I thought that was always a part of buying a car. I had been to two other dealerships comparing the different models and pricing, I was treated poorly by both. One told me that "I should talk to my husband first" then come back, are you kidding me?? Belknap offered the price and my trade allowance very close to the numbers I wanted so I barely negotiated with them. I hope they keep doing things the way they are, don't change a thing. Their straight forward, honest and pressure free approach will always have my business. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family, I know they will get the same treatment. Don't change a thing.

My first experience purchasing a car in New Hampshire was certainly rewarding and Im glad that I chose Belknap Subaru. I had looked at 3 dealers when I came to Belknap Subaru. I didnt find what I wanted at the other dealers and felt uncomfortable with their pushiness, yet lack of knowledge. It is certainly amazing that in this day and age when there are so many people looking for jobs that there are people employed in sales but have no knowledge of their product. Im not out to trash any businesses but want to share how impressed and relieved I was to walk into Belknap Subaru. First, theres no cut throat competition between their salespeople. They all assure you that the next available salesperson will take care of you and the manager also introduced himself and asked what I was looking for. I came in looking for a Forrester but as I was walking into the lot with the salesman I saw and 06 Baja and started to ask questions about it. I had always been intrigued about these vehicles and after I learned about the car I wanted to drive it. During the test drive I learned about the history of the car and all the options. I am thrilled with the vehicle (yes, I bought it.) I was so thrilled that I kept driving and driving and driving way past the oil change until one day the car just wouldnt go anymore. I had the car towed to a place near where I work and called Subaru. Mark Mallahan, the Sales Manager, had it towed to Belknap Subaru and sent me a vehicle to use. A month later my car was returned with a new engine and all I was charged was the tow to Belknap Subaru. I will not deal with anyone else for sales or service. They are knowledgeable, convenient, and fair and have won my loyalty for sure.

This was my second Subaru that I purchased from Belknap Subaru. I was hoping they would give me some incentive to keep my business with them, but they showed me no loyalty when it came to negotiating a price. I feel I could have received the same if not better deal had I been in a position to go somewhere else. I understand they are a business and need to make their share, but I will be sure to go out of my way to show them no-loyalty with my next Subaru purchases.My wife and I came in and test drove a 2014 Forester on a Sunday and we knew right away it was the car we wanted, but they didn't have the color and all weather pkg in stock. I saw exactly what we wanted on their website and gave the salesman the VIN and my credit card to hold it for me when it comes in. It was labeled as "In-Transit." After a week of waiting for the car to come in I call the salesman to check on the status of the car. He tells me it is in and we setup an appointment to come in and make the purchase.So we show up to our appointment and the salesman goes and gets us our car. When he pulls up with the car, guess what, huge shocker here.......Its not the car that I had emailed him the exact VIN from the website and specified the Interior and Exterior colors of. To be honest I read the review on this website from someone who suffered from a bait and switch so I was honestly expecting it. Me and my wife take the car for a test drive and it had the essentials we wanted so we decided to buy it. One of the main issues is that I had negotiated a price on the the car I wanted from the website and not this new car, so all bets were off and we needed to start from the beginning. Here's the point where I wish I had got up and walked away. During the initial test drive a week earlier, we were given a quote for our trade in of $4,000 - $3,000. I knew $4000 was a stretch and was fine with $3000. We talked about how his system does the numbers and that his manager would need to look at the car, but its looking more like it will be on the $3,000 end. So all week while I am waiting for this car to come in, I am thinking that we are getting a decent trade in price. If the initial trade-in quote was a little low, I would have shopped around for a higher price. So when we start negotiating a price, he tells me the manager can only give me $2,000. Wow this was a shocker, I knew we wouldn't be getting the $4,000 that the system spit out as a high, but what happened to the $3,000 that you gave to us on a printed out quote? It gets worse. After we go back and forth negotiating a price we somehow get to a point where the price of the new car is lower, but I am only getting $1,500 for my trade-in. Something about true cash value of the trade-in and the $2,000 they quoted me 20 minutes ago was somehow rolled into the price of the car. It was some pretty fuzzy math and pretty much killed any notion of trust I had in this salesman. Five hours later we drive away with our 2014 Subaru Forester Premium w/ All Weather Pkg. Wow do we love this car! I can say for a fact that we will always have a Subaru in our household, and will go out of our way to avoid purchasing them from Belknap Subaru.

They sold me a used subaru at full kelly blue book price raving about how it was kept up really well when in fact it has needed hundreds of dollars of repairs within months of driving it. Anything connected to the check engine light the dealership took care of, but there were hundreds of dollars of other repairs including a dead battery AND a dead air conditioner, both of which the dealership should have known about because according to car fax they were the ones servicing the car all along. I also had to go back twice to get them to get an all wheel alignment right and it still isn't so I have decided to stop trying with them and am taking the car to a local auto repair shop. When I brought the problems to the attention of the owner he blamed me and the so called rough new hampshire roads for all my problems. He told me I had no right to complain about the vehicle. That seemed like really lousy customer service. I would be really careful dealing with this place because the owner is not trustworthy.

After 38 years of driving used vehicles of all types and kinds we felt to some degree like the last of some nearly extinct species when shopping for new cars. We've a good deal of life experience and are not new to big ticket purchases or negotiations, (i.e. not "easy"). We had completed much of our own research prior to visiting several NH Subaru dealership. David Miles at Belknap Subaru provided very friendly and professional assistance as we moved through the formal part of the review and selection process. It was a very comfortable and straight forward process with strongly competitive interest show in acquiring our business. Getting a good deal or low price is always nice but selecting a dealership we feel we'll be comfortable with after the sale is also an important part of our decision process. We would highly recommend those considering a Subaru in central NH give Dave Miles and Belknap Subaru a chance at your business. You might be surprised at how well things work out!

Buyer & trader beware! This is a shady place and they run bait & switch games on you!!! What's posted on their website and what they actually have in some instances is a sham. They promised to hold a car for us that we found online until we could get down there and said they needed a deposit. When we called back to leave a deposit, the salesman was "off". After trying to reach them for a few days, the car was sold, magically. Then, when we expressed our extreme displeasure, the GM, Bob, called us and said come on down - I feel badly. You can have your pick of our SE models - there's four of them. Ignore the price. (We live four hours away!) We load up our toddler and head down, only two of the actual cars were available for purchase and one of them smelled like an ashtray! You open the door and the smoke practically rolled out. It was revolting! Oh, and the other two that were worth buying, were suddenly "GT" cars or some such blather, that belonged to Subaru. Total bullshi$$. So, really only one car was available. And, he said he could get us out the door for under $20k total for an '09 Outback SE. His way of doing this? Not rolling sales tax into the totals! NH doesn't charge sales tax. VT does. My husband and I made a point of asking SEVERAL times, SEVERAL ways, of saying, this is a long trip for us, don't waste our time. We have to drag a toddler down there. It's going to suck. It needs to be worth our while. And, several times, specifying, that we wanted the car purchase to include tax, tag and title. Well, lo and behold, he was withholding the tax calculation, which we would have had to pay lumpsum, immediately to the State of VT as soon as we got back. Every dealer I've ever financed with, included the tax. They are scumbags, and a waste of time. Cobras & tigers are more trustworthy. Seriously. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!

Based on a referral from a friend I went in to the dealership to talk to Jim even though it was over an hour out of my way, but I can say it was well worth the drive. I had a few quotes done prior to arriving at the dealership and his pricing was the best by far. I traded in my vehicle which I still owed money on. The deal went fine until the previous lien holder, GMAC, took the payment for the vehicle I had traded in from y checking account. Once I contacted them they claimed to never have been contacted by anyone about trading in the vehicle. Now 3 weeks after the purchase I am still trying to get my last payment back and Belknap Hyundai has done nothing to help me. When I called and explained the situation my salesman said "I don't know what to tell you." Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Also, the vehicle was not as clean as it should have been on the day of delivery, only a half tank of gas and the vehicle failed inspection. I have a few friends in the market right now and I would never think to direct them to Belknap Hyundai/Subaru. Ever.
