Worst car shopping experience of my life. Spent a total of 4 days at this dealership, Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. My car was totaled from the recent flooding in Virginia beach so I needed a new vehicle. Went to Beach Ford to look at a 2014 Ford Fusion I saw on their website at a decent price, low miles, exactly in my price range. Made an appointment to come in on Friday to take a look at it, upon arrival and meeting the sales rep, Diamond Blair, was told that that vehicle was in the process of being sold. So we looked at another Fusion which was a little more expensive, started the paperwork and was told to come back Saturday, came back Saturday and saw on their website another Ford Fusion at a lower price. Asked about it and was told that it was at their Suffolk dealership, sat down with Diamond and the GM and discussed purchasing this particular vehicle, after running numbers and increasing my down payment the GM was able to get me in the monthly price range I was looking for. Was told that they would call Suffolk and pick up this car for me, I informed them that I could return the following day, Tuesday around 1230. I would leave work early, which cost me 2 1/2 hrs of pay since Im an hourly employee and come to the dealership to complete the paperwork and purchase. Was told that if there was any issues I would receive and phone call. So Tuesday comes around, never received and phone so assumed everything was good, even texted Diamond around 1100 to make sure everything was good, reply was "Yes sir see you at 1230". Left work and headed to dealership. Just as I was pulling into the dealership I get a phone call from Diamond telling me that unfortunely the car in Suffolk was being sold, that the GM couldn't get ahold of anyone at the Suffolk dealership to inform them that I was purchasing that vehicle night before, never picked it up and was told that we could look at something else, really???? 4 days spent at this dealership, 2 separate cars that I was interested in, had money for down payment and lost 2 1/2 hours of pay!!! Will never go to this dealership again, told everyone in my shop about this experience so they stay clear of this place. Poor customer support and very unprofessional. Luckily, since I was off for the rest of Tuesday (October 18th) I went next door to the RK Cheverolet dealership and told them what happened and they took great care of me, 4 hours later drove off the lot with a 2015 Chevy Malibu!!!!!

I suppose its my fault. I assumed a dealership of this size, which had been around as long as Beach Ford, would actually have a service department that added value to the overall operation. I took my minivan in to have the rear door handle replaced. (Having a minivan with a non-working rear door isn't exactly optimal.) After being told that Ford no longer manufactured the part and no replacement part was available, I asked the question, "Wait, I can't open my rear lift gate on my minivan, isn't there another option?" The Beach Ford answer, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do." So I figured I would make a phone call to Freedom Ford to ask whether they might be able to track down a replacement handle. I was told that, although the chrome door handle wasn't made anymore, a basic black handle certainly IS available. You would have thought that my question about other options would have spurred the radically outside-the-box suggestion of using a door handle of a different color. Instead, it was left to me to figure out the solution and then suggest it to them! Yikes...who is training these people?! To add a little salt to my wound, when I was told the van was ready to be picked up, I arrived an hour later only to learn that the work hadn't even begun yet. The level of disorganization in the Beach Ford service department is a sight to behold. Head for the hills! Run the other way!

Today just reminded me why I stopped going there in the first place. Made an appointment for 9:30 am, only to find out that was just for a check in time after I got there, then tells me it will be 45 min to an hour before it will go in shop for diagnostic, what my time isn't valuable, I work third shift, that's why I made an appointment. Took my vehicle and left..... On other occasions, took in for roof leak while still under warranty, was told I had left sun roof open that I never use, ( roof still leaks ) ive later discovered its the roof rack rail which still leaks time to time. Took into Beach Ford on three separate occasions for at the time what I thought was a transmission problem, the first time was told it had a miss and spark plugs had to be replaced $$$, the next time they reprogramed the transmission $$$$, Still no Joy, Did not go back, took to Kramer tire, found out I bad hub bearings, Diagnostic free (no charge) That's when I started going to Southern Auto Mercury, Lincoln service, which now is a GMC dealer, bummer!!!!!! confirmed and they did the work, for years never had a problem with these people or service, they were right the first time and at a lower price than beach ford. And an appointment was an appointment, not just a time to show up!!!!!!!!!!!!my rating is on my combined experiences since Jan. 2009

They will charge you overpriced diagnostic fees. Their labor rates are horrible and if you actually let them fix your car it won't be right. Stay away unless you want to be ripped off.

Beach ford estimated cost to repair the AC blowing air from defogger at $1231. Holland road auto repair shop fix it for $130 which was a loose vacuum hose.

My wife and I purchased my car in 2012. It is a 2013 Ford Focus Titanium. My wife has purchased over 7 new cars from this dealership. From the first day I got this car I had issues with the transmission. It rattled a lot. Dropped it off several times. The last time I dropped it off right before the warranty was up, one person told me there was an issue, the other denied it. We couldn't even get a solid answer. We honestly couldn't even get respect and customer service from them. So we just gave up. We knew we were going to trade this car in sometime anyways. We even called the salesman, David Swoop, who has sold all of my wife's cars to her and he didn't help. A few weeks ago, my transmission stopped working. Called, set-up an appointment. I had a diagnostic test done from another place and they gave me all the codes to which it needed to be fixed. I printed this out and actually gave it to the dealership. I told the dealership that I needed to my transmission to be reprogrammed and there is probably a recall on a part. They offered me $118 to do another diagnostic test. I said I don't need one. They said they were going to fix my transmission. They re-programmed the transmission. Didn't look into anything else. I picked up my car and the next week the transmission completely stops working. Call back. They want to charge me for a tow truck. I said no. I wasn't going to because they should of fixed it the first time. They tow my vehicle. Run a diagnostic test. Find out that my transmission was under warranty and it needed fixed (imagine that). They fix it. Charge me for the diagnostic test because they said they did it because my check engine light was on and had nothing to do with the transmission. But I only took it in for the transmission. Then they try to sell me to get a part fixed that also tripped the diagnostic test for $280 with the part when it only cost me $69 for the part and 15 minutes to do later. So after two diagnostic tests I paid for, 4 hours of time off I used, two days of getting rides two and from the dealership, they fixed the problem they should have in the first place and tried to overcharge me for work. If my vehicle wasn't under warranty, I would of never went back to the service department. I will probably never purchase a car again from Beach Ford. After the service I have received I don't think they care about customers. They care about costs and profits.

When I purchased my New Escape in 2011, I was promised $10.00 oil changes and free state inspections on all vehicles that I owned. I also have a 2008 Escape. A great selling point. I live in Willoughby in Norfolk and thought the drive would be worth it. A few months after purchase, they changed their policy and would this offer was for my new vehicle only. End of July 25th, 2015 I called for appointment for state inspection and was told they could not get to it until August 4th. I called back on Wednesday and they gave me a appointment for Friday 7/31.I had a 9: am appointment and after a 2 hour wait they advised me that my visitor's side mirror was loose and need to be replaced for $480.00 plus. I told them to reject. I took vehicle home and within 10 minutes took off panel and tightened 2 cap screws and called them backed and said I would be in 1st thing Monday for re inspection. They advised it would have to be 8/6. I went in anyway and vented and could not get an explaination why they couldn't have done what I did to fix it. I would have payed $30 or 40.00 labor or whatever. They did not offer to fix, just to replace. Mirror or glass was not broken, just loose. I just traded in for a 2016 Fusion with another dealership. Beach Ford has lost my business.

Janae did a great job, informing me about the time it would take to service my car, offered a ride home or other accomodation. She did a great job. I LOVED the quiet room and the coffee, etc. available for those waiting to get their car serviced as well as the Wi-Fi access to enable work to get done. Additionally, the young man in white shirt and Khaki pants who seems to be everywhere to help (pull in the garage, get to the right service desk, get coffee while in the waiting room, etc.) He and Janae combined really foster a great sense of customer commitment on the part of Beach Ford. Mr. Vespoli was very professional and demonstrated a genuine concern to have my vehicle repaired to my satisfaction. He contacted me during the repair to recommended the replacement of some parts which would save me from a possible inconvenience and possible damage to my car in the future. I had the parts replaced and feel much better knowing it was the right thing to do in order to prevent any future issues. I tried several different car dealerships before going to Beach Ford and was left angry and frustrated. Every dealership tried to tell me what I wanted and would show me cars that were either out of my price range or something I didn?t even like. Beach Ford was the first place where the sales person actually listened to what I wanted instead of trying to tell me what I wanted. Charity did not try to pressure me into a car that I didn?t want. The actual purchasing process was quick and easy too. My experience with Beach Ford is that they although they are a business and want to make a sale- they want to make sure that people are getting what they want.

Scheduled a "wait" oil appt and was told I would have to wait up to three hours. I rescheduled for the following day. Showed up for this appt and they didn't even give me an estimated time that it would be done. I asked for basic things a dealer would/should have (key to remove spare tire) and was told I had to find mine? After I asked again, the customer service rep said "she'd look". I asked to speak to the manager due to the poor service and attitude. I was told there were two people in front of me waiting to see the manager. I witnessed another customer waiting to speak with the manager being told very rudely that she would have to wait for an unknown amount of time. The customer service rep spoke very loudly, was very rude, and immediately walked off after saying the aforementioned to the customer. The only reason I return to the dealership is because of factory warranty. I would NOT recommend this dealership for service to anyone.

I have been a loyal customer .I have had 4 ford vehicles serviced the past 12 years ,and have spent thousands of dollars . My last visit was to replace a fuel pump on my 2001 Harley F-150. I had the vehicle towed to beach ford after I had talked to someone on the phone. When I got there , I talked to the yellow team service Rep. he took the info on my truck, and I left. After the 2nd day that no one called ,I decided to call and found out that nobody had looked at my truck, The Yellow Team Manager apologized ,and took $100.00 off. The price to install the fuel pump was $400.00 more than the quote I later got from another Ford Dealership. So much for being a loyal customer!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I set up this appointment I was told estimated wait time was about 5 hours. Tom Best, service advisor was correct and right on. He kept me informed as to how the work was going. I always wait for my service to be done as I live in Portsmouth and it's hard for me to get back and forth. Beach Ford Service Department is worth their weight in gold. I would not take my Ford Escape anywhere else. Thank you

Ford has quite a few recalls right now so the service department is extra busy but they got done with our car as quickly as they could. They were super friendly from the time I pulled up until the time I left.

I recently purchased a 2014 Ford Mustang from beach ford. Our sales person is no longer with Beach Ford so we were assigned to Brian Jones. We had been promised that a paint chip and the fuel door would be repaired. We finally were able to get the car over to the collision center to have them look at the issue. They set my wife up for an appointment for June 19th at 0900.My wife shows up at the dealership and Brian Jones is on vacation and nobody had any information from Brian that my mustang was going to be taken care of. I called the collision center and talked with Jennifer Turner which took immediate action and had my wife at her location with enterprise rental car shuttle picking her up. After my wife got to the rental car agency no one their had any information from Brian for my wife's rental car. We are now going on 11 o'clock. Brought my 2010 Fusion in for a state inspection and oil change. Everything went well, and about an hour later I was done, paid, and walking to my car. A service person asked me if I wanted him to test my battery for me. I was not aware that I had a battery problem, and nothing had been mentioned to me prior to paying my bill. Was told that the battery needed jumped to start, but it had started now and should be good to go. Not wanting to deal with this later on I waited there, and attempted to restart the car. Battery dead, no engine turnover. They jumped and charged it again, and the same result. Retested the battery and now it had very low cold cranking amps, ~200. The service guy took the car around back to test it and see what was going on. 30ish minutes later they came back and told my the battery was dead and it needed replaced, and they would install it with no labor charge for $120. This was the first time I had ever had a problem with my battery, so something seemed off to me. I asked to speak to the service manager, so he could explain how something like that can happen. About 20 minutes later he came down, told me that batteries are tricky, and was basically very dismissive towards me and didn't want to explain to me how it is possible for a battery to be fine one minute, and be completely dead the next. The service manager told me that that was all he could do and had to get going because he was very busy.I called a local auto chain and found a battery for cheaper than what Beach Ford was going to charge me. While I was waiting 20+ minutes to have my old battery put back in so I could leave, I witnessed the service manager sit in the lobby and talk to an older couple the entire time I was there. That feels to me that he just didn't care about my problem or experience in his service department. I have bought three cars form Beach Ford, and the sales staff is very good. The service department has continuously been sub par in my opinion and this is the last straw. I will no longer be purchasing my cars from Beach Ford.

I just recently purchased a 2014 Ford Focus from Beach Ford and that is the second one I purchased from them. My first one was in 2002 and I had a great sales experience both times and the 2002 Ford Focus was NEVER in the shop unless it was for an oil change or regular maintenance. I seem to remember that I took it in for a regular oil change and mentioned I had scratched my door with my key, a week later I got a little paint repair kit at no charge sent to me by Ford and it worked perfect! I did not even ask them to do that. That car was paid off and a year after it was paid off I had an accident on the ice and totalled it. I went to another dealership (not Ford) and bought a car in a hurry, not thinking, I had multiple problems and I had the feeling that the dealership there (not Ford) was a little shady, there were many problems with the car that I found out later. This was the car I traded in and I cannot believe the price they gave me for it. I am extremely happy with my new car and would like to mention NEIL WILLIAMS as the sales associate that sold me the car. He is VERY professional and worked with me a lot, spent a lot of time with me deciding what car to buy and also I needed to keep my payment reasonable since I am in school and paying tuition again. I needed a reliable car because of work and school so he took a lot of time to work this out for me. He never wanted to sell me a car over my budget or push me into anything I did not feel comfortable with. It was late and raining the night I purchased the car and he was practically the last one there and both of us were exhausted but he still took the time to explain some last minute details about the car before I drove off. All the staff at Beach Ford were very friendly as they were in 2002 so it just goes to show that they are dependable and I will be buying my cars there forever. I appreciate a place I can trust. My co-worker is also a fan of Beach Ford and purchase her son's car there.

I found a 2003 Lincoln Town Car listed at Beach Ford with low mileage. I wanted to see it and take it for a test drive. I wanted to view it the Suffolk dealership because there was another 2011 Town Car at another dealership listed we also wanted to see and test drive. Beach Ford had a salesman bring the car over to Suffolk so we could see it and I did take it for a test drive because I felt bad that Beach Ford in Va. Bch. would send the poor boy all the way to Suffolk with a car that was not fit to be seen by potential buyers. My 98 Mercury Grand Marquis was in much better condition than this 2003 Town Car. Bad wear marks and split on the drivers side door on the inside and the car had not been cleaned. The picture on Cars.com could not have been of this car. Then they must have thought that we were stupid because they tried to sell it to us at the asking price. When we told the young salesman that no bank would lend that kind of money on that car. That car was no ready to be shown and they should not have wasted our time or the salesman's time! We did not buy the car. We did buy the 2011 and we are happy with it.

The salesman did not try and pressure me into anything else. The financing department put my payments exactly where I wanted them to be. The car I wanted was not on the lot, so it was shipped in for me. I was the first to drive my brand new 2014 Mustang. That was the best feeling ever! Worst experience with any car dealership in forty years. Brought my 2006 van in for rough idle, mis-firing. Beach Ford found over $3,000.00 in urgent "repairs" that were needed. When questioned they explained that they had no record of the vehicle in their system so they assumed these things needed to be done due to the high mileage. One was a bad tie rod, had them fix it. Only two had any possibility of causing the misfiring. I chose another facility to do the repairs related to misfiring (complete tune up and intake manifold gaskets) because I felt as if they were intimidating me. With each repair the issue seemed resolved...temporarily. Ultimately I took it back to Beach Ford after reading Dealer Rater. They said it was a fuel injector problem. $122.00 for the part, $444.00 labor, and "it needs another tune up" ($267.88) because the bad injector had fouled the plugs". Fine. I trusted them, had them do it all. 100 days later, the problem repeated. Another bad injector, another $444.00 labor. Not being experienced at auto repair I was unaware there are six injectors, and they didn't mention there was more than one. I'm not an auto mechanic, but common sense dictates that if a vehicle has 158,000 miles on it and one injector goes bad, it would be logical to replace them all while the manifold is off. No they said, they "never recommend replacing them all". Great for them, generates lots of profits. They refused to fix it at a reasonable price, no discount, and charged me another $80 to read the CEL codes that Auto Zone had just read for free. I gave them the same codes, but they insisted on reading them again. They told me they were waving the mechanics fee, but he didn't do anything except check codes. The service rep wrote fraudulent paperwork stating that she recommended replacing all the injectors after telling me three times that she never has recommended this to anyone. She also said I declined other work we never discussed. She lied about their warranty "90 days", the supervisor said it is twelve months., then she made excuses for lying. BOTTOM LINE: I believe Beach Ford coaches service teams to drive up the repair bills. They will tell you anything that generates profits. They repeatedly lied to me and then purposefully falsified paperwork. I am a die hard Detroiter and a Ford Lover. I've been driving Fords for as long as I can remember. Have never had such a bad service experience. At this time my advice is to avoid Beach Ford. NOTE: I did have the repairs done elsewhere. An understanding mechanic charged $150.00 labor plus the parts (OEM) at $43.00 not $122.00 each. Beach Ford called me tonight, promised to follow up again. If they admit they were wrong and refund a reasonable amount I'll write an update to let the public know about it. Until then, I stand by my words and the courts decision.

I bought my 2011 Ford Flex from Beach Ford and its had a few minor problems. My experience with the service department is very bad. I took my car there on two separate occasions and both times I had issues with not the quality of work but how long it took for them to do the job. The first time I went there I was told that It would only take an hour and a half to fix the lock on my door. I ended up being there for more than three hours. Two hours after being there the team leader finally came up to me and told me that they did not realize they had to take apart my door to fix the lock. The second time I brought my car in was to have an oil change, to fix the rattling sound in the Roof lining and to have my rear seat latch fix. My appointment was for 9:40 in the morning. After going all day without hearing anything from the dealership I called them around 3 o'clock in the afternoon to ask for the status of my car only to find out they did not even touch my car. Not even a simple oil change. I was told that the things that need to be fixed on my car would need more than a day to do and that I would have to bring back my car and leave it with them for two days. When they finally fixed my car I went to pick it up my car. After inspecting my car I noticed that they got the roof lining completely dirty and I had to sit there and wait even longer for them to clean it. Because of their service department Beach Ford has definitely lost a customer and I will be looking for other dealerships to take my car to for future repairs and oil change.

Whoever our salesman was the last time I went to Beach Ford I wanted to look at a new focus. When we arrived no one came to greet us and once we were finally helped he was very rude and just seemed to be in a hurry to get rid of us. He was very rude and condescending, once he mentioned that you can use you i phone or whatever kind of smart phone to connect to the cars Bluetooth I replied that i didn't have a smart phone, he seemed shocked. Beach Ford refused to let me drive the car because I am under eighteen (although all other car dealerships I've been to had no problem with it) but offered to let my father drive the car and "inform" me what it was like. Overall Beach Ford was not kind to us and i would NOT recommend it to anyone. My recommendation is, buy German.

HOWEVER once we got to the sales manager I was treat as though I was the dirt on his shoes and that after a divorce and some marks on my credit I shouldn't be in his dealership. This man should not be dealing with the public with that type of attitude. I walked out and contacted the same dealer at their Suffolk location and Dina and Meghan got me approved at a good rate and through Ford Motor Credit. So if your looking to buy I would highly recommend making the drive to Suffolk vs wasting anytime with the sales manager at the Virginia Beach location

After finding a used 2010 Fusion on another dealer's lot that turned out to be a lemon I did not buy, I decided to see what the price of a new 2013 Fusion would be. Of course, I could not find the pricing on the Beach Ford website, and filled out the contact info and request on line for them to send me the info of the new car in question. They responded in about 25 minutes with a phone call, which was awesome. I then declined to come in and look at the car as I was merely compareson shopping. I specifically asked the sales representative that called me "Do not call, do not contact, do not give anyone my name for any reason" as I am not that kind of shopper, prefering to initiate my own further contacts if I am still interested, and that I would be buying a used vehicle anyway.Beach Ford continued to call me, (with different people, 2 more times) continued to e-mail (3 more times) more information on other cars, and now, 2 months after the fact, I just got an e-mail from JD Power Associates asking me to take a 15 minute survey on my opinion of the 2013 Fusion that I supposedly looked at. Rather than waste my time doing that, I prefer to spend that 15 minutes letting the Virginia Beach community know that if they contact Beach Ford their name and contact info will be sold or given away, and they will have an unending process of declining to give information to people contacting you about something you are no longer interested in. Everything about my experience was rushed, except for the financing portion which seemed as fast as molasses. The biggest complaint I have is that it was a bait and switch. Roughly six photos were posted online. The description/options list were generic and appeared copied from the manufacturer website. Among other differences, the website & window sticker listed the vehicle as a manual transmission, but it was automatic.FAIR WARNING to potential buyers, if looking for specific equipment that can't be seen by the eye, such as axle setups, pull the VIN and call an authorized dealership. They can lookup the build sheet while speaking with you.As for the good, all associates were friendly, vehicle was reasonably priced (even if it was grossly misrepresented by the dealership propaganda).Bottom line, do your homework and call a manufacturer authorized dealer if you have a doubt about equipment & options. Have the VIN ready and ask for the service department.

Brought car in for 120,000 mile service. Picked up car after service and noticed technician had forgotten to change pcv valve. Brought vehicle back and this was replaced. Next morning noticed oil dripping in driveway. Vehicle has never to this point leaked a single drop. Looked underneath and found oil everywhere under engine from left to right. Immediately brought the vehicle back to Beach Ford. Technician admitted to spilling oil and forgetting to clean up after his oil change. Said he then cleaned it up, drove it around and found no leak. After all this, I decided to double check every item on the list of services and found that technician forgot to rotate the tires. This was evident as I had wanted the rear tires moved up front because they had better tread. I also had one leaky tire which was in exactly the same spot as when I brought it in. Upon further examination, the timing belt cover was left on very loose (just barely hand tightened). I had asked them to take a look at the belt and let me know if it needed to be replaced. Technician said it looked original. Report said "some wear". When I brought it to an independent mechanic and paid him to take the entire cover all the way off (which takes a little more time on an escort) we noticed the belt was actually in great shape and not original at all. Probably had been replaced when I bought the vehicle about 15,000 miles ago. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE CENTER, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, FORGET TO DO REPAIRS AND LIE TO YOUR FACE. THEY ARE NOT HONEST OR TRUSTWORTHY. THE BEACH FORD SERVICE REP EVEN TOLD ME THAT FOR FUTURE REPAIRS THEY COULDN'T GUARANTEE THAT THE SAME TECHNICIAN WOULD NOT WORK ON MY CAR! SO MUCH FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EFFORT.AT THE VERY LEAST SCORE YOUR PARTS AND ASK FOR THEM BACK TO ENSURE THEY ARE ACTUALLY DOING THEIR JOB.

Upon arriving Saturday we were assisted by Ralph Abe and Michael Dudley during the sales process. I had a lousy experience dealing with their "sister" store, Beach Ford in Suffolk. When I got the chance to do business with the Virginia Beach location everything went fine. The beach location gave me the vehicle for the terms I was looking for. When the Suffolk location found out they through a fit and made the experience uncomfortable for me. On top of that, when I picked up the car they had the salesman from suffolk deliver the vehicle. The dashboard was covered in cigarette ash. I wonder what else the jaded salesman did to my car? I went to Beach Ford to purchase a brand new Ford Focus to replace the 2002 Expedition we had bought over a decade ago (we also bought the Expedition from Beach Ford as well). I met up with Craig Hughes in the lobby of the dealership, and I told him exactly what I was looking. He and I then went for a test drive with two different configurations of the Ford Focus, and then helped me pick out the one that I felt was appropriate for me. He genuinely cares for all of his clients and their needs, and was extremely diligent in getting the paperwork and other stuff out of the way to make my first buying experience as smooth as possible. The other people at Beach Ford were also helpful as well, offering me accessories and other options to improve my experience with the car. In the end, I walked away with a brand new, fully-loaded 2012 Ford Focus with all of the trimmings, and an experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend Craig Hughes and Beach Ford to anyone looking to buy a nice, very reliable, and affordable Ford vehicle.

just had a terrible experience with the dealership. They sold me a car that was supposed to have cruise control and delivered it to me without it. I took it anyway because they did not charge me for the cruise control, and they told me not to worry that it would be available in 6 months. It was not available in 6 years. They just flat out lied to me. I was most disappointed with their service also. The passenger side door did not close unless you slammed it full force. After the service department, said.. we can't fix this.. (a brand new car mind you!) They referred me to body service, didn't offer to set up an appointment or help me.. just gave me the address and said set up your own appointment with them. I was so mad I could barely control myself. I took it myself to their auto body repair and that was the only bright spot.. those guys were polite and did their best to fix the problem. Parts department? Sucks too. They charge you 10% more then Freedom Ford in Norfolk , where I didn't even buy it from.

My wife and I decided that we wanted a newer car than the one we had. We went by one Ford dealer and when we told the salesman what we were shooting for he told us "yes everyone wants a deal like that." as if we were being ridiculous. The next day we went to Beach Ford and were met by Roy Brunner. He ask what we were interested in and we told him what we wanted in a car and a deal. "Let's see what we can do. The first dealer had put us in a Fiesta but we never got to drive a Focus. The car we were interested in. Roy pulled one around the front of the dealership and My wife and I with Roy in the back finally got to drive a Focus. When we got back to the dealership Roy ask what features we were interested in and what we were looking for in a payment. Roy found a car with the features we wanted in Sonic Blue. No white silver or grey please. We had a trade in that we still owed on and Roy took our tradein to the appraiser and when he came back we got down to brass tacks. To make a long story short when Mr. Brunner and Mr. Henry showed us the deal they had it was better than we had anticipated. Mr. Henry walked us throught the paper work, answering all our questions while Roy filled the gas tank and gave the car a final fluffing. Roy then brought us out to the car and spent time going over all the features with us and inviting us back for a Saturday session after we had familiarized ourselves with the Focus. This was by far the worst experience of car buying my husband and i have been through. We bought our car not even two months ago and we are already getting things fixed. we took it to get an oil change at sears ( we dont live in the area) and they tell us they cant proceed to change it because theres a leak and theres oil caked on to the entire right side of the vehicle. so we drive back to have them tell us its the crank shaft seal which was leaking bad and those DO NOT just go bad. especially on a low milage vehicle. so then they tell us we have to pay for it because we did not purchase the extended warranty which to fix could cost at least a grand and during those two months between getting interior work done and the remote not working properly we've probably only had it for three weeks b.c its been in their shop getting fixed. they do not keep you updated on the progress of your vehicle when getting worked on. i was told i would get my car back today and now they are saying monday it is a BIG inconvenience when you have someone else's vehicle and you live out of town. i am very surprised that a reputable dealer like this would have a car on their lot for sale with so many defects and bad customer service.

From the time I walked into the dealership until taking delivery of our new Taurus the following day,I found the overall experience exceptional. We purchased her new Taurus this past August 31st, 2011.My experience at Beach Ford started with meeting the salesperson, Mary Turner who greeted me in a very friendly manner. I had my mind made up that I was going to buy a Chevy Malibu and stopped in Beach Ford as an afterthought. We test drove a number of vehicles and I had fun doing it. NO PRESSURE FROM MARY! That is the key. She explained each vehicle in detail as I was test driving them. She explained all features, engine types, and the difference between each vehicle and how it would apply to our needs. After a couple of hours I thought I had my mind made up until I saw the 2011 Taurus. Mary and I test drove it and she gave me a quick summary of all the features. He really stood out to me because he actually listened to what I was looking for in a vehicle. Even though I might have been persuaded to purchase a pricier vehicle, he actually took the time to keep reminding me and redirecting me to the vehicles with the features I was looking for. I really appreciated the time and effort John put into helping me find the car of my dreams, but most of all the integrity he demonstrated during the course of my search. I was extremely impressed that he actually cared enough to help me find what I wanted versus trying to get me to spend as much as he could. Also, unlike the other salesmen at other dealerships, he never once talked to me like I didn't know anything about cars. He was very respectful and courteous and I, being a female, truly appreciated that. I've also had to visit your service center twice since purchasing my vehicle and the customer service is OUTSTANDING. Both times that I stopped in to let the service department know I was having trouble with something, they've been very kind to help me right on the spot and never once did I have to make an appointment. We've always purchased our vehicles right next door to you guys from RK Chevrolet for the past 20 years. Now I have to wonder.. WHY?!!!

It is too bad that this dealer did not take the time to research their M/V. They list it with just over 10,000 miles, yet show a picture with the odometer over 73,000 miles which in turn is backed up by CarFax. By wasting our time, it turns most customers off, and we wonder what else they a doing to mislead us. When will Dealers learn.

I am ALWAYS pleased with the superior service I get at Beach Ford. I would never purchase a vehicle from anyone else. Over the years I have bought 3 pickup trucks (the last one was a King Ranch which I still have), 2 Escapes (2008s for my daughters) and 2 Edges (a 2008 and now a 2011). The Edge is one of the finest, coolest cars I have ever owned. I would also never take my vehicles anywhere but Beach Ford for service. They always do a great job and are concerned that the work is done right the first time. My daughters (21 and 19) take their Edges their for oil changes and routine maintenance. They are treated so well. I strongly recommend Beach Ford to anyone who is considering purchasing a Ford or Lincoln product.

Dear Mr. Barton May 9, 2011 I am sending you this email to explain to you the above subject. I purchased a 2002 Lincoln continental in November of 2010. I went to the Virginia beach location. I have credit issues, so I was refereed to a Mr. Andre dreesch, he showed be several cars and trucks in my price range. after I selected the 2002 Lincoln, he also told me about lots of extra I get from buying from beach ford. the main thing that stuck with me was the $1,000 maintenance for my car if I should need it. well I recently drove to fort Leonard wood, mo. to see my youngest son graduate from the army boot camp. we drove 1,044 miles to get there. once we got there the rear suspension failed and needed repair. I had no extra money or credit cards to use. I called Andre, and explained to him my problem. he was very concerned and helpful. he had one of the mechanics call me the following morning with several suggestions to fix my car, none worked. so I took it to the local ford dealer and explained to him what my problem was and that I had no money to fix it. I called Andre and he only asked for a written quote from the dealer, which totaled over $788.00 and that was it. I was very impressed with not only Andre keeping his word, but with beach ford as well. less than a hour after picking up my car, the same problem happened again, as it turned out it was a height sensor that went bad along with my compressor. again I called Andre and he took care of it. I already thanked GOD, now I want to thank you and your team of honest professionals. we made the return trip back home, safe and sound. We were looking for a new Ford Edge and was told Beach Ford was the place to go. Right away we noticed high pressure sales tactics, but overlooked that to get the perfect vehicle. We were told about a "new" vehicle that fit all of our criteria but it wasn't at the dealership because the "employee of the month" was driving it. We were taken to the collision center to look at this vehicle, intending to purchase that afternoon. The vehicle was filthy inside, smelled of smoke, had scratches in the paint, and had 4000 miles on it (making it a used vehicle at that point). Obviously we didn't buy this vehicle. We were then told of another vehicle at a dealership in another city. We put money down on this vehicle and were told we could pick it up the next day. The next day we found out the dealership wouldn't release the vehicle and again we had nothing. After being set on purchasing two different vehicles through this dealership, we gave up, feeling frustrated and disappointed. Also, we were told that Beach Ford is straight forward and honest about pricing, however the salesman had to go up to the sales manager's office on another level and spend 20 minutes there each time we talked about price. It just seemed as though they were playing games. Other dealerships were willing to let us speak directly with the sales managers so there's no back-and-forth bull. I never felt as thought I was a valued customer - only that I was a potential sale to make them money. I would not recommend anyone to go to this dealership. There are too many Ford dealerships in the area to waste your time here.

Took my 05 F250 in for a oil change and warranty service at 0700 on a friday. Was told to come back on Monday because they did not have a tech free until Monday. Droped truck off 0700 on monday as directed. Called at 10:30 truck had not been looked at yet, called at 2:30 truck still not in the shop. Called again at 3:45 no progress on the truck but told it might not be done today but did not have any info on what was wrong with the truck so I left my home phone# (already on file) and asked them to contact me. Never received a call so called at 5:30 told that my contact was gone for the day, talked to Paul and left Phone # again. No contact until Thursday, when I had to call them. Told that the truck would be ready for pick up on Saturday.They offered to perform $500.000 maintenance which I declined. Arrived on Sat to pick up the truck and found out the truck was still in the computer as not complete. Worked that out (15 Minutes)received the keys and went to the truck to find that the batteries was completly dead. They offered to install new batteries at a cost of $240. I asked them to replace the batteries at no cost due to the fact that they were responsible for causing the battery to run down and they refused and asked I wait 45 min for them to check the truck out. Almost 4 hours later they returned the truck after charging the batteries just enough to start the truck and get me home. Not sure if the oil change wascompleted due to the fact they did not put a oil changed sticker on the window indicating when the next change was due. The truck is running better but due to the battery issue not sure if the claimed repairs was completed as well. Will take truck to other dealer for oil change and new batteries.

When we moved to Virginia Beach, we had recently driven across country from Oregon with our '98 Expedition pulling the largest Uhaul trailer available. My husband wanted to have the car checked out by computer because of its age and the heavy work it had done. I called and spoke with the Service manager who asked how the car was running. My answer was, "Like a top. It always has." He suggested that we not spend the money to check it out unless it was not functioning properly. (Surprise!!)I took the car in for an oil change and was truly surprised at the low cost and fast service. Since it had come up on 100,000 miles, we asked what mantanence service should be done. The suggestion given us by the service representative was reasonable and well within the manual parameters. The work was done within the day; I was driven home by a very pleasant gentleman who, by the way, never fails to greet me whenever I'm in the service department and inquires as to my need of a ride. After a poor experience with the local Jeep dealer, we called to inquire if Beach Ford would do the oil change on our '01 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They did, and again the charge was the same even though it isn't a Ford product. We are currently window shopping for a used Ford Mustang and discovered the same, customer friendly attitude in the sales department. When we are seriously ready to buy another car, you can be sure that it will be a Ford from Beach Ford.

I bought my ford edge less than a year ago and in the last month it has been a nightmare. The vista roof needed to be replaced because it was running slow. they never called me to let me know the part was in. something was stolen out of my car which no one seemed to care about. after countless phone calls they finally fixed the roof, but the sun screen was messed up. they fixed it so they said, driving down the road with windows down the sunshade started making a funny noise. had to take it in again. when it was being fixed they were detailing the car and supposedly some cleaning fluid got on the screen and had to be replaced again. withing the last 4 weeks i have had 3 rentals all of which they expected me to pay for the gas in it. i told them i had to rent it due to their falling short and i wasn't paying for the gas in the rentals. they had to keep taking my car to wynn ford which i understand is on the penninsula. i am a woman and am dealing with these issues myself. be ware if you are a female, when you tell them anything they seem to look at you like you don't have a clue in the world. if i could go back i wouldn't use this dealership for all the money in the world. this had been a night mare. and now that they have given me the car back, i happen to see the low air pressure light on, and i am driving on a spare. let's see how long it takes for them to take care of this. i would not suggest this dealership, it cracks me up when i see their adds talking about caring for their customers. what a joke! i promise you i will never buy a car from this dealership and i would think about going to williamsburg it would be worth the trip.

Had my wife's Taurus serviced (under warranty) here twice now. On one occasion, there was some confusion and a boneheaded move by a mechanic: He said he couldn't find anything wrong with the car; when I went to pick up the car, I toggled a switch and identified the problem within moments of hopping in; the very friendly service chief apologized and it was fixed first thing the next morning. The other occasion was for more extensive repairs, which took about eight days. Folks were very friendly and we were given a nice rental/loaner of the same make, but it all seemed to hinge on the fact that we had purchased the premium extended warranty when we bought the car. Relative to other dealer/service encounters, I have to say service here was pretty good. Minor bumps, but generally friendly and fairly competent. I recommend purchasing the premium extended warranty for the life of your car loan if you want to ensure you'll be taken care of -- you can roll it into the purchase price and finance it that way.
