We have a 2010 Cadillac and had taken it to a Cadillac dealership for service and were very unhappy with the quality of service. We have bought cars from Bareford and always been happy with both sales and service departments so we took it there when we had this latest problem. Bareford's service personnel found the problem and fixed it, kept it for only one day, and we are very happy. We will bringing all our vehicles to Bareford in the future for any kind of service. Thank you Caleb and others in service for your polite, competent assistance.

The car I was looking for was listed at the Tappahannock location and after an hour plus drive the girl in the showroom, who I had to interrupt from playing on her phone, told me it was at the Kilmarnock location. We drove to Kilmarnock the next morning, an even longer drive, only to find out it really was at Tappahannock. Here's where they got really good. Phil, our salesman told us that the girl was leaving and didn't care, then he had someone drive the care to Kilmarnock while he recommended a great place for breakfast. By the time we got back the car was just arriving. Phil was so friendly and helped us through the whole process, making it as painless as possible. I felt the deal was fair and left very happy. I would certainly do business with them again - they literally went the extra mile.

I really enjoyed the small town feel at this dealership. I could have shopped at the mega dealer in the city where I live, but this was much a much more enjoyable experience. Paperwork was done very quickly and I did not feel that the dealer was trying to add all sorts of dealer-offered extras to fatten the bottom line. The sales staff was very friendly and casual. If you are a city dweller and forgotten what small town service is all about, give it a try.

Sorry to do this, but this dealership needs a wake-up call. I was looking for a GMC Denali 2500/3500 Pickup, and they had a really nice one at a decent, but not great, price. The phone conversation went like this: ME: "Hi, may I speak to a salesperson?" THEM: "Well, I'm a salesperson" ME: "You don't sound too enthused" Them: "Well what are you looking for? What do you want to know?" (all in a very bored and sanctimonious tone) ME: "I think I'll call back later". (Click) I never called them back. They blew a possible $60,000 deal. ???? Ridiculous. I would be a bit wary of this dealership.

We recently drove an hour and half to look at and possibly purchase a vehicle from there. I spoke with them via email and was assured there were no mechanical issues with vehicle and the vehicle was in great shape. The vehicle needed a few repairs that would cost in excess of $2,000 to fix, the side steps were missing and the door hand on the inside was missing. I had been looking for this exact vehicle for 2 years and would have purchased even with the issues; however, they would not budge on the price. Hopefully they are honest with the next person and let them know ahead of time that the vehicle has mechanical issues. Overall, the Sales Person was great. He was nice to talk to, pleasant demeanor and down to earth. I would recommend them to friends; knowing my friends would completely check out a vehicle before they purchase. The location is awesome - we found a nice river front restaurant on the way home.


Good experience. Will buy from here again.

The worst truck repair shop I've ever dealt with. We took the truck in for repairs and was charged approx. $500.00 to fix the water pump. The truck started leaking again within a few weeks and they want to charge us another $400.00 to fix it. I BET WE DON'T PAY IT. All they want to do is suck money out of their customers like people are walking ATM Machines. I will never deal with them again.

I liked the low pressure sales and willingness to negotiate. I think they tried to help me find the exact truck I wanted to the best of their ability. I would certainly recommend Bareford to my friends and already have done so. I look forward to coming back in a few years to buy a new truck from Charlie the salesman, and Joey, the sales manager.

I would like to thank Phil Fore of Bareford Buick GMC for being the example not just the industry standard in car purchases and outstanding customer service. I bought my 2009 Silverado Crew Cab from him less than a month ago and they've been in touch ever since just to ensure all is well and assist if needed. Phil had me sold by his demeanor and knowledge, because let's be honest...these vehicles can almost sell themselves. I was impressed with the follow up; which further lead me to believe they value rapport as much as customer satisfaction. Ordered a 2015 Yukon Denali through Al Yeatman at Bareford because none were available anywhere on the east coast... The process was simple, handled everything from 150 miles away and when the truck arrived Al and Joey had it shined up and ready for pickup. They made this transaction easy and I feel like Ii got a great deal accompanied by great customer service. Well worth the drive from Midlothian, VA to work with the team here at Bareford! And the truck is AWESOME!

In February, 2014, I purchased my very first Buick Verano from Bareford Buick-GMC in Tappahannock, VA, and the entire car-buying experience was excellent! In June, 2014, I had an appointment to bring my new Buick Verano into Bareford Buick-GMC for its very first oil change, and again, it was great service from start to finish! No complaints, whatsoever!! Mike in the service dept. greeted me, took my Verano to the service dept., changed the oil, and a short time later, told me I was ready to go! Way to go, Bareford!! I definitely recommend this dealership for a tremendous car-buying experience and a great deal + super service + excellent follow-up!!!

The automated response to my email enquiry was quick as expected. The follow up mail from the salesman only suggested I should give them a call but totally ignored the questions I had asked. I replied I would give him a call as soon as he had the courtesey of answering my few and rather simple questions. A week later I'm still waiting for the courtesy of a response.
