11/9 In lease of new car, dealer shorted Hyundai Finance America by 1.5 payments on trade in of 2014 Elantra and left me on the hook for $503. Sales manager refused to take responsibility and look at the deal. Forced to complain to Hyundai's national complaint line. Dealer informed.

Awful service. Got quoted a price for service but when I went to pick it up I was charged a much higher price. About 3 times more. Called many times and left messages. No one returned my calls. I had to eat the cost.

Great staff and the best cars (and warranties) for your money. Our associate Alba even went as far as to give us a coloring book and crayons for our 3 y.o. who had to come car shopping with us. We previously had an elantra and upgraded to a sonata and we were pleased with both our cars and our experince dealing with Balise Hyundai of Fairfield and Hyundai motor finance.

This dealer stole me in the worst way possible in my face. on 3 May, I visited this place to buy the Hyundai Elantra 2012 in the amount of $ 10,500 dollars, I thought it was a good price, then decided to make the purchase, i gave to them $ 1,000 for down payment and the rest was a credit by the bank, they made the "right" documentation to purchase, at the end of the day I went out very happy going to home with my first car, I was thinking that I had done a good deal. This week, when I received the first payment by the bank, I realize that they requested on loan to the bank to $ 12,000. I thought it was a mistake dealership and was quickly asked by the inconsistency in payment, well, big surprise! because when I went there to explain the problem, they told me that everything is right, cause I had to pay a number of charges of which they never spoke to me when we made the contract. I understand that I must to pay tax, but $ 10500 that was the price of the car, I'll have to pay $ 13,000 for costs that neither they know explain why, without counting the interest that I have to pay to the bank, the only response of the person who took my complaint was " in the contract is your signature, if you go to court, you will lose," I know that I signed, but never ever received any explanation about " other "collection, but come on! of $ 10,500 (real price), I have to pay 13,000, it is just $ 2,500 more than the actual price. Thieves !! Robber!!

I retreat to purchase this brand and this always the same thing, they treat you like a king when you want to sell a car but when you need anything you give me the back, I will never buy a car from Hyundai again, my worst experience ever. After I trade in my old 2012 Hyundai Sonata hybrid, I recieve a letter stating that I'm responsible for damages and wear, how can I be responsible for a car that I already trade it in and the sales manager told me that everything was excellent with the car, doesn't make any sense to me that a week after I left the old car in the dealership I have to be responsible for, this is completely unacceptable and I feel that I being cheated. They say that my old car has a scratch on the door and dent on the front bumper. They sand me a bill of $450 with black and white pictures that I can't even see where the damage that they referring is located. Very disappointed of Hyundai and the way that handle business with old customers.

I went to Hyundai to look at the Elantra which I had seen a commercial for a good lease price. When we first started talking the lease prices I was shown were higher than the commercial I saw. If you are thinking of buying a used car from Fairfield Hyundai, please read this story and reconsider.PLEASE BE WARNED, nobody should ever have to deal with the nightmare that I did at Fairfield Hyundai. My experience at Fairfield Hyundai started out enjoyable but quickly went downhill. After test driving a 2004 VW Jetta with 66,000 miles, I decided to purchase it. The deal went quick and easy and the price didnt even need to be negotiated. I was reassured multiple times regarding the thorough 21 point inspections that each car went through before coming onto the lot. Two days after I signed the paperwork and drove the car home, the check engine light went on. The code was read at AutoZone and it said it was either a broken thermostat or a faulty engine coolant temperature sensor. Since the sensor was a cheap fix I purchased it at AutoZone and scheduled the labor to be done the following weekend with my local mechanic. He changed the sensor and cleared the code but about a week later the code came back on. I then notified Fairfield Hyundai about the issue and brought it in to them the following weekend. The car was then reassessed by Fairfield Hyundai and they believed that since the replaced sensor had not been a VW part, this was causing the check engine light coming back on. They ordered the part and we went to Fairfield Hyundai for the second weekend that month to get the part replaced (first time was just the diagnosis.). Another week later (about a month after purchase) the check engine light not only came on again on way to work; the car was unable maintain speed, decelerating and sputtering multiple times and eventually stalling while on the highway. I needed to have the car towed and it was taken to a local mechanic who opened the hood of the car to find a screwdriver with an O ring that was left under the hood of the car from the repair that had been made while at Fairfield Hyundai. After getting a call back from the local garage, we were told that not only did the car need the new thermostat , it was also misfiring and had a faulty mass air flow system which would cost me approximately $700 all together to fix. I notified Fairfield Hyundai about this issue, and they said that they would take care of the thermostat since it was an open issue (after I fought for the fact that it was the same code as the engine coolant sensor) but the rest of it would be on me. Fairfield Hyundai picked the car up from the garage where it was worked on and brought it back to their dealership for further testing and driving. They had the car for a few days and the engine light came on again while they were testing it. The mass airflow code was coming back up so they cleaned the mass airflow system and said the car should be good to go, but if that code came back on that they would need to replace the mass airflow sensor and that they would take care of it for me. Finally after a couple of weeks of being out of commission, I got the car back and it was running....but not for long. A week went by and yet again the car started misfiring. About two days later it again broke down on the highway and had to be towed to my local mechanic. This time, they replaced the engine coils. Again it worked for about a week and then again started stalling out. I once again brought it to AutoZone to diagnose the code. AutoZone told me that it was the mass airflow sensor code coming up again and that the airflow sensor would need to be replaced. I contacted Fairfield Hyundai since they had told me they would take care of the sensor if that code came up again, and they told me to have it towed there. They diagnosed it, and agreed that the sensor needed to be replaced. They then tried to charge me the $200 for the part and said they would just take care of the labor. After many phone calls and having to speak with management, I was able to get them to take care of the full part and labor as they had promised. They changed the sensor and gave me the car back, but after another week it was again stalling. At this point, the car hadn't even been for an oil change it and it already had $1300 worth of work in addition to breaking down completely and being towed three times, and it still wouldnt run. Every day that I had the car and woke up to turn the key, I had to live with the fear that it wouldn't make it to work, yet I still owed almost the full price of the car. In the two months that I had had it, it was out of commission and I was left with no form of transportation for over three weeks combined. Fairfield Hyundai couldn't be bothered with any of it. I owed $4000 on the car, and it would not run (this is 2 months in, not years). I was forced to trade it in for nearly nothing so in addition to the repair costs, towing costs, down payment of $2,500, the headache needing to find reliable transportation, and missed work due to not having a car, I was out thousands and thousands of dollars. The whole point in using a dealership to purchase a used car is that they are supposed to stand behind the car and the "rigorous inspections" that they perform on them. Fairfield Hyundai did the bare minimum to get the car out of its warranty period and then told me it is my problem. I cannot tell you how many times I had to call them reporting previously open issues, only to have them tell me it was out of the warranty period and they could not help me. It was a fight for them to cover anything, even the things they had previously promised to take care of. The bottom line is I could not have had a worse experience at Fairfield Hyundai. They have a giant sign that's says Balise Auto Group Commitment to Quality Sales and Service." Clearly, this is a lie and they couldn't care less about their customers. A good, honest, hard-working American who works 50 hours a week to save some money to buy a reliable form or transportation from a dealership was left without a car and completely threw away almost 7 thousand dollars so that the thieves at Fairfield Hyundai could make a buck. It was the worst consumer experience of my life and this dealership is the most disgusting collection of xxxx that I have ever been associated with. I would never step foot in there again unless it was to prosecute them for the criminals that they are. If you are thinking of buying a used car from Fairfield Hyundai, please read this story and reconsider.PLEASE BE WARNED, nobody should ever have to deal with the nightmare that I did at Fairfield Hyundai.

I recently bought a 2015 Santa Fe Sport from Fairfield Hyundai. As anyone who knows me can attest, I HATE to shop. So when it came time to trade in my 2010 Elantra Touring I only went to two dealers. I wanted to downsize to an Accent Hatchback, and my only requirements were cruise control and a bluetooth. Dealer #1 did not have a single car meeting my requirements, and were going to give me substantially less for my car than I had hoped. The next day I went to Fairfield Hyundai and met Mark B. They not only had a car, but were able to put a Bluetooth in it without all of the other additions normally in a premium package, and were willing to give me almost 50% more for my trade-in. From the dealership manager, to the salesman to the finance guy (who called me after the fact to tell me that they had mistakenly overcharged me a couple of hundred dollars), the process could not have been easier or conducted under less pressure. I am very happy with my purchase, and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys!

It's a good place to go if you are looking to buy TODAY, didn't do any car research, and like being sold stuff in the typical "here's your crappy offer where we highlight the monthly payments rather than the actual price you're paying, oh let me go see the manager" rigamarole games. If that's your thing, enjoy. I prefer working with people who respect my words. These guys are desperate for sales and it shows. I made it abundantly clear when I went in that I would not be getting a car that day and if they didn't want to do a test drive with me for that reason that was fine. But that was too hard for Fairfield Hyundai to respect and they immediately start and continue with the monthly payment hype and the "what's it gonna take to get you into this car today." Just completely ignored what I said. It's simple, if you can't respect that, I'm not doing business with you. It's a shame, I liked the car but show me a modicum of respect and I might've bought from you.

Out of all the car dealers I've been to searching months for a car, no other car dealer treated my family and I as great as Fairfield Hyundai did. Every employee from the sales person, the finance person, and the general manager as well as the other employees and sales associates were all very pleasant and helpful. On October 7,2013 I went out to start my car and it did not start. I called AAA for roadside assistance. Once they arrived I explained that my car wasnt starting, I was low on gas (It said 33miles until empty), but as I tried starting my car he shook his head and said that it doesnt sound like I am out of gas, that it actually sounds like the timing belt wasnt working properly due to the whining sound the car was making. In disbelief I asked him again if it was possible it could just be my gas, he said no. I then decided to call Hyundai Roadside Assistance to have them tow my car to the Hyundai dealership where I purchased my vehicle in Fairfield, CT. I called the dealership and made them aware of what was going on. I spoke with the service manager, and he said he highly doubts it is the timing belt, but he will take a look when it arrives. I asked if I should ride along with the vehicle so that I could use a loaner car while my car was being serviced. He said ,there were none there for me to use! I would have to be without a car. The dealership has 4 loaners, and they are all out. He didnt expect this to happen and didnt set one aside for me. He was very rude. Once the car arrived he said my car started right up and that it was just low on gas. So, at this point I am frustrated because I would NOT have towed my car to Fairfield to be serviced if it was just low on gas. The tow truck driver said he couldnt tow the car back and Hyundai Roadside Assistance said they wouldnt allow that to happen either because there is nothing wrong with the car. Now, I am stuck with no car and no way to get to Fairfield which is 30 minutes from my home. I finally find a ride to Fairfield and let the dealership know that I will be there before they close at 8pm. I arrive at the dealership at approximately 7:35pm and the lights are off and front doors are closed. I look in the window and see my keys sitting on a desk in the showroom. WONDERFUL. I head to the back to look for my car and find it, left unlocked! Now, I am really upset because this shouldnt be happening. I called the customer service number and was speaking to an associate as I notice that the service door is cracked open and unlocked. We open the door and start calling out hello, to see if anyone is still inside. No answer. As we are talking to Kathleen I let her know that we will try to walk thru the dealership to retrieve my keys from the showroom. Indeed the doors to the front showroom are unlocked and I am able to get my keys. Not only were my keys lying out, there were about 15-20 sets of keys out and piles of paperwork were out in the open. Someone could have stolen a lot of cars at the dealership that night. Thank goodness I was the one there and not someone else. I then asked to speak with someone higher up in customer service and got transferred to a case manager at Hyundai. He said he couldnt believe this was the case but that there really was nothing he could do because all of the dealerships are franchised. REALLY? I received a case number.The next day I call Fairfield Hyundai and ask to speak to a manager, the send me to the sales manager whom I left a message for. I didnt receive a call back, so I called back again and asked to speak with the manager. I said who I was and explained what had happened last night when I went to pick up my car from them. He said there MUST have been someone there, that they wouldnt just leave the door open. Proceeded to call me an idiot, and that I was just trying to blame someone because my car ran out of gas. He said I wasnt even a customer of theirs and that they had a hard time even finding me in the system. He also said he had to go into my car and look at my car registration to find out who I was. Well, thats funny because my registration and insurance cards were in my pocketbook with me. I bought my car from that dealership and also have had two oil changes within this past year at the same dealership. I can not believe the audacity of the service manager and do not want anything to do with that dealership or Hyundai in general. This is unacceptable and I will not tolerate being treated this way. I have pictures of what we found at the dealership, and how we were able to walk in and retrieve my keys. I am furious.

Completely unhappy! It took me 8 hours and multiple trains to get to this dealership because they had the EXACT car I wanted. Dealing with Dave, the online sales manager for the week prior was pleasant, and I was looking forward to a smooth finalization. It then took the dealership 56 days to complete a 10 registration process, resulting in parking my brand new car and having to find a way to work. No one would take any sort of responsibility or initiative to solve the problem. I was very nice during this process, forward and to the point, but I kept my cool, and tried to help in figuring out where the ball was dropped. The General Sales Manager, Michael Riccelli, never returned my calls, and the overall communication from the staff was beyond limited, and for the most part, lies. Fairfield Hyundai fails at customer service, follow up, and follow through. Id never recommend them.

I came to Fairfield Hyundai expecting nothing as I was unemployed. I sat down with Ryan and explained that I was unemployed and and my former lease was ending. I further stated that I needed to have payments lower that what I had. He jotted down some information then went and spoke with the owner. The owner came over to us and introduced himself then stated he could get us into a brand new 2013 Sonata for a lease payment of $17.00 less then my last lease. Now you may think this is small potatoes, but other car companies were in the same ball park as my former lease and the car being offered was not even a 2013.I was very happy with my results and I would go back there on future leases.

They sold me a car full of MICE. I trade in two luxury cars in an excellent condition and I bought two new Hyundais thinking I can save some money. Two days later I discover that my kids stroller and car seat that I had in one of the cars were destroyed. I called the dealership and the headquarters right away explaining to them that one of the cars they sold me was full of mice. They told me that they are not responsible for anything and they don't care about the condition of the car. I leave in my house for 7 years and I have 4 cars on my lot. We never had problems with mice. The car is destroyed the mice ate the dashboard, wires in the engine and the seats. This is the worst experience I ever had in my life. I called the headquarters and they basically told me that this is not their problem. Dont buy Hyundai, eventually it would cost you more than a luxury car. At least not from the Fairfield dealership in Connecticut. Once they sell you the car the next day they dont know you. The worst customer service of my life. Now I have to pay $23,000 loan for a destroyed car. I am wondering if the president of Hyundai would like to have his kids traveling in a car destroyed by mice.PS: DO NOT BUY HYUNDAI.
