Great salesman, extended warranty undesirable

The salesman and service portion of the sales experience was great. They deserve five stars. The closing made it difficult to lump it all together.The downside was the finance person. She aggressively pushed an extended warranty, which I did not want and still don't, when I was in an extreme hurry to pick up a friend at the airport. I didn't understand that it would cost me more than almost any repair. I should've refused to close until the next day when I could read the contract better. Read "Consumer Reports" advice on extended warranties (NEVER buy them).

It was a inconvenient for ford and mazda to be sharing one building, i think its a horrible idea. Mazda should have its own seperate building. The detailing could use a little more attention. See, if you pay your detail guy more, he will do a better job, which in turn will bring more business.

This is the second vehicle I have purchased from Auto Nation and Cole McLeod is one of the main reasons. Like a lot of buyers, I rely on the honesty and integrity of the people with whom I deal, Mr. McLeod is the standard by which this idea should be judged. I went shopping for a car for my grandson and Mr. McLeod showed me several in my price range and gave me an honest comparison of the pros and cons of each vehicle. He knew my price range and kept to a range that fit. It took only one trip to find the perfect car. Buying a new Ford truck from salesman Daniel Park at Auto Nation was a friendly, smooth transaction. Initial on-the-lot contact lead to a no pressure test drive. Review of models/options and price was done online. Completed the sale and took delivery the next business day. First complementary oil change already scheduled.

We did not fit into the template of the "average" customer, I guess. Salesman had to go through specific stages whether ot not we wanted to. Felt like a meat processing facility. Just wanted a good price. Was ready to buy. Nice cars. Didn't bother to go on to financing. Had enough. Probably our fault for not fitting their mold.

I went to Auto Nation to look at cars I had seen online. But once I got there I ended up looking at a vehicle that was on the lot. The price was right and the mileage on it was even better. My salesman was very helpful. I still keep in contact with him. After a week or so I saw minor issues with the vehicle. Salesman that took care of me was very helpful. I contacted him with my issues and he was able to let me go in at my convenience.

My service advisor Erin was very helpful and polite. The service on my vehicle was done on the same day which was great for me since I needed it for work. My only complaint was the Courtesy van driver was not very nice. I waited 2 hours for a ride home because he failed to announce that he was getting ready to do a run to drop people off and I guess he thought I should know who he was.

Little less than two years ago I went to autonation ford looking for a car for my daughter. I was met by Casey Garza. No pushy selling. I decided not to purchase a vehicle on my own accord. Periodically over the next couple years he would call just to ask how I was and if I decided on a car, if so, go by and let him help me. Well a month ago I decided on a car and a price I was going to pay. I looked up Casey at Autonation. We met at a price I liked for the Ford Mustang'14. I was in and out in about an hour. Casey followed up after the sale which is a plus. I also contacted him regarding my cup holder being broken. He ordered the part and called to say its there waiting on me to take the car. Had been in a week before due to the focus I was driving kept slipping started looking at Mazda's but the sales guy I first spoke with didn't really seem to into the sale at all. He wanted to get back on his cell phone he did show me numbers on a truck I never saw and he never asked if I wanted to run an app. The focus was repaired but a week later I went back to drop the car off at service as I waited for my ride I started to look at the trucks when I was approached by Matt drove a few trucks and was in and out in an hour with my NEW F150 he was awesome easy to speak with

This F350 is the third truck we purchased from Autonation. We just show up, pick one and drive it home. They always have exactly what my wife wants and it's lower priced than what I was going to pay. Who can argue with that? She's happy, Autonation is happy and I'm ecstatic! First there was a 6.0 Ford disel that fell apart, go figure? Not their fault, Ford's design. Second, was Duramax, great, AN fixed cracked windshield to start, two years later still running great. Now my wife's 2012 F350 lariat, she's thrilled, so am I. Joe Simon made it happen, FYI.

I brought my 2004 excursion couple times to have the ignition system checked out First time the service guy Scott stood there and took no notes down stood there like he had no care in the world, long story short nothing was fixed and took my money. Talked to service manager Jackie explained that it would not happened again and to bring vehicle in. Brought vehicle in spoke to service guy Patrick this time took notes but they just can't grasp that when I brought the vehicle in both times the problem was to be checked before the vehicle cooled down. Long story short vehicle still not fixed and waisted another day. I would never recommend this place to anybody even my worst enemy!!!

Speaking only for the Services Department. Very untimely in repairs. Customers had to make multiple calls before getting in touch with the services department, as the phone goes to an automated message box. Repair times are not accurate, and multiple excuses are made to cover the untimeliness of repair. Requested to speak to the services director and was informed that she was busy and would call me back. Never happened. DO NOT recommend you take your vehicle to this dealership for repairs. I've taken my vehicle to this dealership 2 times w/ unsatisfactory experience, and will now look to another dealership in the future. Time and accuracy is important to the customer and Auto Nation Ford does not meet the standards.

I left the review 'Never again'. And got the 'sorry to hear...please call the general manager so we can make it right.' form letter response. I called and talked to the general manager Brad. I told him that i had left the review and was willing to hear what they wanted to do to make it right. He said he would look into the issue and get the details and get back to me. This call was was made on 9/10/13. I waited until 9/20/13 (without hearing from Brad) and I called back to follow up. The receptionist said he was busy with a customer and asked to take a message. I asked her to remind Brad that he was to follow up on my issue and get back to me and it had been over two weeks since I last talked to him. To this date (10/13/13)I've not heard back. I look over the most recent 5star reviews and and have a hard time believing they weren't either paid for, or even entered by the folks there at Autonation. Poor communication and lack of response to customer concerns seems to be the norm for Autonation Ford in Corpus Christi. Places like this are the reason that cars salesmen have a bad rap. I'm sure there are plenty of honest, helpful, friendly car sales teams out there. Next time I'll go somewhere else to see if I can find one. To Autonation: If you really want to reach me, I've left my number and nature of my concerns plenty of times. You know who this is. Surely you wouldn't have a problem finding my number. I won't hold my breath.

Bought an '06 F150 in November 2012. It needed to have the windshield replaced and some minor rust repairs above the windshield repaired. By June 0f 2013 the rust was showing through again. Several calls to the salesman (Tom Vincent) with no answer back even though he promised to get back to me the next day every time. Had numerous calls into him over the last couple of weeks trying to get an answer of whether the body shop would warranty the spots that came back. Finally gave up on getting an call back and called to talk to the Service Manager. She was able to tell me in a few minutes what my salesman had not been able (or willing) to tell me in over a month. Turns out the shoddy repair would not be covered by warranty. I feel like it was just patched up long enough to make the sale. Very Disappointing. If you're buying a used car at Autonation/Champion Ford in Corpus Christi, I have two tips: 1) Make sure it doesn't need any body work. 2) Steer clear of Tom Vincent.

This place is a joke. Tried to buy and F-150 and get a trade value for mine. The salesman asked me the typical question "How much do you want for it?". When I told him, $35K, he quickly replied "Well we can't give you that much". So I asked, "How much will you give me?". His reply, "I have to take it to my manager and find out". Why would you tell me what you can't do without telling me what you can do. Met a sales manager named Randy Pratt who really acted arrogant when I told him what I thought my trucks' value would be. He was more interested in proving why he was right then listening to my point of view. I understand that I won't always get what I want and that's why it's called negotiating. I don't enjoy a sales person who can't answer a question, nor a sales manager who's not interested in listening. I am enjoying my new SuperDuty which I purchased from another dealer.

Visited Autonation Mazda several weeks ago to test drive a 2013 miata. When I arrived no one greeted me until about 10 minutes after walking around the lot. Finally, a young salesman greeted me but apparently no mazda associates were available. They had to get someone from Ford next store. Ken Lopez was sent to me. Mr. Lopez was not very friendly and seemed uninterested in selling me a car. We took the miata for a test drive. For some unexplained reason, we did not drive the car with the top down which seemed odd since that's one of the reason you buy a convertible. Anyway, I did research on the 2013 models as well as the 2012 miatas that also were on the lot. I had e-mailed a few offers to Mr. Lopez and got responses sometimes several days later. The bottom line, I never got an opportunity to speak to a manager and there was little negotiation. I apologize to Mr. Lopez that he felt some of my initial offers were low but in negotiations you have to start somewhere. Also, looked at a used certified mazda 2012 with low miles. They wanted more for that vehicle than some of the discounted new 2012. Just did not make sense. Mr. Lopez was polite and professional but I just did not like the fact that there was little room for negotiation and I was NEVER put in touch with a manager. I understand his stance that Autonation has to be consistent with there prices, however, if you have miatas that are 2012 and have been sitting there for almost a year, you would think that they would be interested in negotiating instead of having a hard line stance. Just did not click with Mr. Lopez. I have purchased many cars in the past and this ranks at the top as a poor experience. I am still interested in the miatas but not interested in dealing with Mr. Lopez. I am sure he is a fine salesman. Maybe I just need to find another Mazda associate. Would prefer to discuss this with the general manager.

I have been looking at getting a Mazda 3 hatchback for the past couple of years. When the new one came out with the Skyactive engine in it, I knew thats what i was going to get when it was time to trade in my PT Cruiser. When we got to the Mazda dealer, our salesman, Manny, immediately came outside and greated myself and my husband. He was warm and welcoming to all our questions. I test drove one of the 3's and I have to say it was the best test drive ever. Manny had me drive on the highway to get a feel of how it cruised, down a bumpy back road so we could see how the suspension handled, this way, that way, left and right. I also appreciated the fact that Manny didnt try to force the car on us once the test drive was done. I always hate it when salesman try to seal the deal right then and there. He gave us his business card and said we could swing by later in the week to get my car appraised and that way we would have some time to make sure this was the car I wanted. We came back two days later, got my car appraised, signed a mountain of paperwork (by the way the finance worker, Mr. Lee was amazing as week. Got us a great deal and had a super sense of humor though everything) and then there I was with my dream car. I cant put in words how happy I am with the overall experience I had buying this car. Manny was great, the team was great and my car is great!!!

No one on the lot wanted to sale me a car, looking to drop 40k on a new ride and no one seem to have the time to sale a car. They must be making good money. Sales staffs have poor knowledge of cars and functions of vehicles. The sales staff stands outside of main door smoking. If you have a choice please take your money somewhere else.

We invested an afternoon in finding a great deal on a truck. We considered, Toyota, Chevrolet, and Dodge. We looked at the XL, Kingranch, and even toyed with the idea of the Raptor. All in all we felt like the Lariat was the best deal for what we needed. Ford is a great company and Champion was willing to give a little which made the deal making kind of fun once it was all said and done. No one wants to get taken and all businesses have to make money. I think we found a happy medium and love driving my new truck.

I bought a new mazda 3 5door from Champion Mazda. I didn't feel pressured and it was a good experience. My sales person Tony Sanchez was very helpful. My only complaint was make ready, the interior looked untouched.
