I purchased a car from Automax recently and I had a small issue right after. I contacted the sales rep Rene, after they were closed. Even though he was already at home w/ his family he rushed right over to me to assist me. The issue was resolved. Right from the beginning Rene was polite and eager to make me happy, never pushy. Everyone was so friendly and helpful w/ anything I needed or any questions that I had. The finance Manager Roger, also went above and beyond to make sure that my car buying experience was a good one. I love my new car and I would recommend Automax to anyone looking for a car. I already have a friend who is going back after the first of the year to buy a car.

An hour later I came in and he worked with me to get a great deal with a great 2012 fully loaded Sonata to replace my recently wrecked Sonata. Everyone was having a good time and were all friendly and very helpful. Great place to purchase.

Wow! What a smooth process we had during the process of buying our cars! We went to purchase our daughter a car,I we found a car on their website. Called the salesperson ( Michael) we told him our price range and the payment we could afford, he asked us to go on line fill out the credit app and he will give us a call when they reviewed it, 15 minutes later he called back saying I was approved!We went in the next day looking at cars, when we saw such a Huge selection of Beautiful, clean, low priced cars we forgot about the one we look at on line and purchased 2 Cars !!!! They have so many exspensive cars, Lexus, BMW . Audi Acura etc , you will Not beat their prices! The Owner ( Mario treated us like Family! We are telling all our Family and friends to go look at the cars. Once they get there they will Purchase one! Oh buy the way we loving our 2 cars and so are others! Lol!!

Upon reading the bad reviews and my personal experience, I understand the reason behind them. I purchased a 2014 Lexus IS350 f-sport from here on 9/9/16. Upon arrival, I test drove vehicle (love it), but then I noticed a wheel discoloration, TPMS light and missing SD card which operates navigation. They swap the wheel, problem solved. I went forward with the purchase with the document stating they will order a sd card. Fast forward 2 weeks; I'm hearing 3 different stories/excuses on why the SD card didn't arrive. At that point I was pissed. It took threatening to return the car and or legal action to finally move forward with the card. I went to my local lexus to buy my own card and they partially reinbursed me.Today 10/5/16. I received vehicle DMV info with a check of $345 basically telling me to do my own footwork. This is a first for me. Why in the f### I paid dealer fees?? Usually the dealer is responsible for vehicle registration procedures. I would have been better off buying this VIA private party.I had a good experience with Annette, sales, but I had a horrible experience with service. Not to mention Omar, manager, telling me to return the car and pay a fee because he sold the car too low to me (in response to raising xxxx about the SD card). What an xxxxxxx. I advised anyone who is car shopping to not deal with Automax Atlanta. If you see a deal there hard to pass up, inspect with a fine tooth comb and do not give them your money if you see false advertise or undisclosed issues and it is resolved. Do not pay without resolving issues. As for Automax Atlanta, yes I had a crappy experience with you all and I stated facts in this review and if you disagree, you know who I am and you have my contact.

I was in search of a brand new looking 2014 Lexus, sport edition and had looked everywhere near Atlanta. Found this dealer from Carfax and I just mapquested their address and called them by phone before I headed that direction, 50 miles away, told them what I was looking for and they stated they had several. I did not make an appointment. I just kept driving the hour drive. When I arrived I was greeted my the manager, they were expecting me and told me that "Jessy" would be helping me and it all went up hill from there. I am the type who has to "sleep on it" before I make my final decision of this nature and even though they wanted me to buy the first day, Jessy was not pushy. I made up my mind the next day and purchased the car of my dreams, a low mileage car, a car with manufacture warranty still in effect for 2 more years/many miles remaining, and a car which looked brand new. I read other reviews of this dealer and so I managed all my questions around what I thought I should ask as to ANY dealer. This dealer did not seem to mind to answer them all or go over my "check list." I have to say also, Jessy was real personable and returned all my text messages also, which meant a lot to me, since I thought of a few questions or procedures after I left the dealer on the first day which was a Sunday afternoon in which they close earlier.

Just so happened to come across Auto Max online while looking for a BMW. Once I came in the dealership I was greeted by Donald he was not pushy. Walked us around the lot and was straight forward about the vehicles and their prices. I ended up making a purchase. It took less than 2 hours. I would recommend this dealership and ask for Donald.

I purchased a car on 8/31/16. The Automax Atlanta website listed the car as having 142,000 miles which is what the odometer read as well. However, after stopping to change the oil it was brought to my attention by the owner of the oil changing company that the Carfax information showed that the car actually had over 250,000 miles. After finding out this information I simply called the dealer back to see what we could do to remedy the situation. To make a long story short let me simply say that David, the sales manager that I spoke with basically laid everything at my feet. He told me that the information was indeed on Carmax and I should have seen it, not the dealership. So, in essence David was able to use a false odometer reading (of over a hundred thousand miles) to list a price for his car and once found out didn't feel it was their responsibility to make ANY part of the deal right! One other thing. I didn't realize because I purchased the car out of state that the check engine light that was on when I purchased the made the car illegal to sale in the first place, or at least that's what the guy at the oil place told me. David was absolutely the worst customer service person I've ever dealt with in my 53 years on this earth. He's the reason for the term, " As Shady As A Used Car Saleman". People, if you pull into this lot please understand one thing. Once you buy it, it's yours and quite frankly YOU better do the homework on what you're buying because my experience wasn't an honest one at all. Certified and Pre Owned...hahaha that's a joke using certified. Shame on Automax Atlanta. What you did was just plain wrong!!!!

We recently purchased a 2013 Genesis from Automax Atlanta, Lakeem Jackson was our salesperson. He worked diligently to get the interior and exterior color, and pricing that we identified. His knowledge and expertise were exemplary. It was the most pleasant experience.. As well the finance specialist and dealership manager were extremely knowledgeable and professional. We'll definitely be back for our next car purchase.

I bought this lemon not even a month ago... I paid cash for a 05 Jaguar s type, within 2 days the check engine light, restricted performance light, and brake pedal light all came on, I called the Manager ( Omar) he told me to bring it back and he would take care of it.....he sent me to shade tree Jack leg mechanic of there's and all light was off, until I got home.... So I called him again with the same issue, I told him that I didn't want that car just let me trade it in on another vehicle ( 05 Saab) he agreed so I came back out there....it was worse than the Jaguar, so he said said take it to there best mechanic he will take care of it guaranteed...so I took it to this guy, and I drove the car from Shallowford Rd to Douglasville and the car lit up like a Christmas tree AGAIN.....so I ask him to buy back my vehicle and he said he would, but to this day August 31st 2016 he hasn't...... This company is the worst that I have ever dealt with in my life....a bunch of crooks and liars there's is so much that has taken place with them... I just don't have the energy to type it all, take my advice PLEASE done buy you car from them!

I recently purchased a vehicle at AutoMax Atlanta in Lilburn, GA. First, I went online to search for the right car. I wanted something sporty but affordable. As I searched the Auto Trader website, I found a 2013 Scion tC at AutoMax Atlanta. When I clicked on the link I realized the dealership was on only a few miles away, conveniently located on Lawrenceville Highway. I emailed the dealership to see of the car was still available. Within 24 hours I received a response from Mr. Shazam Rajani. He confirmed the car was still available and asked if I wanted to come by and drive it. Included in the email was the carfax report. After confirming they still had the car, I made an appointment to go and look at it in person. Mr. Rajani was waiting for outside when I arrived. He allowed me to look at the car and answered all of my questions. I explained what I needed as it related to financing and payments. I asked if I could get the car close to the terms I needed. Mr. Rajani promised to do the leg work for me and let me know. He had me fill out a very short credit application and he said he would do the rest. I was on break from work so I could not sit down and wait at that time. I left and went back to work. Within 24 hours, I have been approved for the purchase of the car and Mr. Rajani called me with the news. He asked when I wanted to come by and do the paperwork. I told him I would have to come after work. He agreed to stay and wait for me. When I got back to the dealership, the paperwork was done. I was expecting to be there for 3 or 4 hours. I was there for about an hour. That includes, test drive, emissions check and signing the loan documents. I was blown away by the level of customer service and professionalism at AutoMax Atlanta. Everyone I encountered was nice and helpful. Needless to say, I was very happy with the entire experience. I got a great deal on the car and affordable payments. It was the best car buying experience I've ever had. I am going to refer all my frinds and family to AutoMax Atlanta. They have a great selection of cars and a great staff of people to help you get what you are looking for!!

I found the exact car I had been looking for online. After speaking with Annette to confirm it was still available, we made the drive from Charlotte, NC. The moment we pulled onto the lot, we were greeted with enthusiasm. The car I was interested in was waiting for a test drive. Annette was an amazing sales person, and Ray and Roger worked with us quickly to ensure our financial requests were met. Start to finish, they had us back on the road in less than an hour and a half. Well worth the drive, and will definitely work with them in the future!

Was in need of car fast and looked online for a VERY specific car when Automax Atlanta popped up. Saw their listings and prices so I went to the following morning; got me in a car in a time sensible fashion with GREAT service. Jesse the manager (I presume) was great and so was Sherrice who both helped me with a trade-in and purchase. They take care of you even after you buy a car which goes long ways in today's world! Definitely worth a visit!

Friday afternoon I negotiated a purchase price with Annette. I called her Saturday morning to confirm the purchase and tell her of my plans to pickup the vehicle. I was asked to provide a copy of my drivers license by text / email, and I did so immediately. I was told that the finance department would call me for a deposit and would immediately begin the required paperwork, and that the vehicle would be removed from the lot and considered sold (a sold sign would be placed on it). I left immediately for my 2 hour ride to the dealership. One hour and 15 minutes into my trip, I had not yet received a call concerning the deposit. I called Annette to "check in" and to tell her my estimated time of arrival. At that time I was told that the vehicle had already been sold. I would believe nothing that you are told by Annette or the Manager, Jesse. This is certainly no way to run a business.

I purchased a 2013 Hyundai from this place. Me and another person with me saw a spare tire, lug wrench and jack. Sales guy said it came with it. When I needed it 4 months later they took it out and replaced it with a tire repair kit!! Accused me of lying. I called telling them my boss, the person with me and myself saw it in the trunk. The sales guy said it came with it. I was accused of lying and they lied to me. The sales manager Joel Hamilton even said someone could have stolen it. And what, replaced it with a tire repair kit????? I want what my car came with. What I saw and what another person saw and what the sales guy, Jeorge, said it came with.

Just purchased a 2015 Lexus GS350 from these guys (Aman was my salesman) and couldn't believe how helpful he was thru the whole process. Any small issue I brought up, he had a quick (and acceptable) reply. Also, their price was several thousand bucks better than I had found for the same model/year elsewhere. If you want used, you're costing yourself money if you don't give these guys a try. Again, Aman was the guy I negotiated with. Good guy.

I called to confirm the availability of a car. I talked with Myra about the vehicle and we came to and agreement on the price, tax, tag and title. Myra also confirmed the information with his manager. I also asked them to put it in writing via e-mail with vin number. They said they wouldn't do that because they felt that I may shop the vehicle. I could understand the position and agreed that I would come in and test drive the vehicle. I drove a couple hours round trip and as we're going through the paperwork to purchase the car the manager brings up the DOR web site and starts explaining about taxes. I don't remember his name but as a group they are going to lie to get you into the dealership. I actually felt sorry for Myra but it still doesn't excuse someone for lying. I wouldn't recommend AutoMax but if you do agree on buying a vehicle get the information in writing before going to the dealership.

My sales associate was Annette. I purchased my car in March. Before signing papers I advised Annette the tires looked worn and the alignment was off a little. She advised she was going to have the mechanic check it out while I complete paperwork. Well, I purchased car, none of these items were fixed. I took to tire place the day after and they said I needed tires because those were wearing. I called Annette and she sent me to Ray. After numerous calls I finally got to speak with Ray and he told me to come the next day. Went up there and they didn't have any tires in stock. Mind you I live 45 minutes from dealership. He said he would call when they get it. I called for a least 3 weeks and he kept saying he was going to order or they were coming in. Finally, after 2 months the tires were in and I sent my daughter to dealership, When she got there they told her it would be a 2hr wait just to put on tires. I spoke with Annette and advised her to put tires in car and I will get someone to put them on. Daughter got home and they had only given me 2 tires for the car instead of 4. Second, the tires they gave me were only for the back and I needed for the front more than the back. Thirdly, the tires were the wrong size. At this point I am soooo freaking frustrated that they only gave me 2 tires, and they didn't look at the tires to see which 2 they should have given me. Also, my carpet in trunk was dirty but the wash guy wasn't there to clean car. Oh I forgot to mention the front and rear brakes were completely worn and I had to have those replaced ASAP. I WILL NEVER RECOMMED ANYONE TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AND I ADVISE YOU TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. IF YOU DECIDE TO PURCHASE AFTER READING PLEASE PLEASE DO A COMPLETE INSPECTION OF THE BRAKES, INTERIOR, TIRES, ALIGNMENT, ETC....

I've been to several smaller car dealerships and very very few can compete with Automax Atlanta...Really this is the first one I have ever felt comfortable dealing with. All of their inventory is A1/Grade A no hype needed. From the sales Manager down to associates including the finance officers they were very professional and personable. I didn't feel as if I was being pressured into anything, but that's what a customer get when their working with a team that know their backing quality, "a pressure free environment". All are very knowledgeable and capable of assisting you, I've worked with more then one person in each department due to differences in my schedule and have spoken with others on the team that were not directly involved and seen how they interact to provide quality service and was very pleased I made the decision to make my purchase through them. It's no problem they cannot solve if it's able to be worked out that they will not try there hardest to if it's within their means to do so. Honestly, when I thought meeting the first person was great it only got better as I met others during the purchase process. All are great, but I have to give a special shout out to my team who allowed me to walk away with exactly what I needed and wanted in a vehicle all the specs are perfect reliable,year, make, model and perfect low mileage for the not breaking the bank price. Pretty much like a brand new car and majority of all the other cars are the same. Hey, I'm use to driving in a luxury model car everyday so I'm picky. With this 2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6 I can not tell the difference between a luxury and economy vehicle as far as performance and style by getting this car. And what a break on maintence cost, especially with the power train warranty still valid and the added extended bumper to bumper warranty...Great built car, but it's mostly because they don't sale lemons!!! So, Thanks to Bruno, Joel, Ray, and Roger for all off the above,the genuine advise offered, and seamless transaction! Another satisfied customer! I highly recommend Automax! P.S. Go in with a great attitude cause that's what you will get in return! For all those feeling crappy go on another day when your feeling better, because your only going to try and reflect your mood onto others and they don't deserve that,because they are truly there to make sure you leave as a satisfied customer. Good Luck! And no I don't work there, this is just how pleasing my transaction was!

I purchased a Lexus GS 450H with 17000 miles on it. I made the purchase while on deployment in Afghanistan. AutoMax stated that the car was in pristine condition, multiple times with no flaws or issues. The car was delivered at night so my wife could not see the major scrapes on the passenger door that were covered up with touch up paint. The rear bumper was also scratched. Next, The vehicle arrived with only one key. After a month, they sent me a key to another random Lexus and said that all I needed to do was get it programmed. I am currently at the Lexus dealer where they tell me that the fob that AutoMax sent is not compatible with the car. A new fob key is now a 306.00 expense. Basically, they didn't tell me about the damage or the missing key. Very shady dealings. The cars they sell appear to be off leases that had something wrong with them to where the dealerships rejected them as certified pre owned. I will not buy from AutoMax again. Buyer Beware.

I gave Jeorge Guerrero at Automax a review about 2 or three months ago concerning the very fine service that I received when I bought a Toyota Sienna there. Just in case you did not read my earlier review, the service was just great and I got the very best deal on my Toyota. The price was below market and they took my old 4Runner as a trade-in and gave me a very good price on it as wellAbout one week after I bought the Sienna, I noticed that it did not have a console between the front seats. I mentioned this missing item to Jeorge Guerrero (who was my salesman) and he said that he would see if he could find one for me. I really didnt expect him to get a console for me because I looked the vehicle over with some degree of scrutiny and also drove it and I loved itit was beautiful. I bought it as it was and Automax was not legally or morally obligated to provide me with a console. Would you believe that Jeorge told me about one week later that he had a console for me, and I did not have to pay for it? That is exactly what happened. I was ecstatic! Even a used console would have been $400. I did not mean to write such a long review because I like for the reviews that I read to be brief and to the point. But, I could not convey the high amount of satisfaction and good feeling that I was left with concerning my experiences with Automax. Jeorge could not have gotten a console for me afer the sale without the approval of Automax. But Jeorge was the catalyst. I had gone to a number of car dealers but none had as many fine beautiful vehicles that Automax had. I dont buy new vehicles because of the immediate depreciation in value when you sign the papers and drive it off the lot. I am definitely going to look at Automax when I need my next vehicle because of the first class treatment I received.

I purchased a truck from AutoMax on February 9. As part of the deal they agreed to provide and install running boards on the truck. I was told that it would take a week or so to get the running boards in and an hour for them to install them in their shop. As of March 4, I still don't have the running board or know anything about when or if they will deliver on what they owe me. Two phone calls and a fax to them have not resulted in an answer. The we owe your form they gave me when I bought the truck said that they owe me "nothing but great customer service and running boards". As of today they have not not delivered what they said they owe me.

George is the salesman that I worked with. He guided me to the exact vehicle I wanted. He wasn't pushy like car salesmen generally are. He was interested in what I wanted to buy and not what he wanted to sell me. I always turn off when I encounter pushy salesmen, and he was not one of them. He was courteous, congenial, helpful and professional. He even helped me to transfer all my junk from my old vehicle to the new one that I purchased. And by the way, Automax had an excellent selection of very fine clean vehicles.

My wife still loves her 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite bought over a year ago and I love my 2014 Lexus IS 250 Fsport. I received a great deal on both cars and have been extremely satisfied. There were a few minor issues with each purchase that were VERY quickly handled without a problem by the dealership even after the purchase was completed. This dealership still treats you like a valued customer even after the purchase is completed making you feel safe and valued as an owner.....hence my return and repeat purchase. My salesman Jorge Jimenez and his boss Omar were courteous and very matter of fact in dealing with me with ZERO high pressure sales tactics and again......standing behind their cars and products and making me feel secure even after my purchase was complete. We were deceived and lied to by this dealer to sell us a car.On first calling the dealership about and internet-advertised car, I was told the car was an off-lease car with no issues. After negotiating a sales price, my wife traveled the 3 hours to purchase. During the purchase they kept saying they just couldn't print out the CarFax. When she saw the 1st page on the salesperson's computer screen showing an Accident indicator, he said "the" incident was probably just a fender bender. She noted some scratches on the windshield and was offered $100 as compensation. However, when she presented the check to pay, they said the price was higher than what was agreed, so took part of the $100 to cover that!.With paperwork already signed, she left with the info folder and came home. When we looked at the carfax that had been included we noted that the car was a repossession, not a lease! And, there were 3 accidents instead of "the" one. We contacted the dealer first thing the next day. We wanted to simply return the car. They told us they could easily sell it anyhow when we were negotiating. However, they refused. To quote their sales manager "You do you due diligence before buying the car". Is due diligence not asking questions about the car and expecting a business to tell the truth. I would not trust this dealership as a source for even a floormat for my car.

Lakeem is the worst sales associate on this planet. Very unorganized and never returns calls. Omar (manager) is very friendly however this company is very dishonest. During the sale I requested a spare key. The company insisted that I would have it prior to leaving. I drove to NC to find out the spare key was a completely different key. A key for another vehicle. I mailed the incorrect key back and was told I would be receiving the correct key. It has been over 3 weeks and still no spare key. I have called a numerous of times. Finally, Lakeem stated we never had a spare key. Apparently the keys they have are associated with the wrong VIN number. Be aware of this company and there shenanigans!

I just bought a 2013 Toyota Camry from Automax, and I was pleasantly surprised how painless and pleasant the experience was. I found them through USAA, so I already had a degree of trust from the beginning. Although unwilling to negotiate on the price, I feel that they gave me a fair deal for my trade-ins, and the car I bought was already priced very competitively from the shopping I had done through the USAA car buying service. Only reason I give four instead of five stars is because they seem a bit disorganized. I was bounced around between several sales people, including the sales manager, so I never was clear on who I needed to talk to. Their parking lot also has way too many cars, making it difficult to get in and out. I understand they will be expanding soon, so this should be fixed then. Overall, Annette, Omar, Alex, and a few others treated me well and made the process as stress-free as possible. I recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a quality used car at a good price.

My wife and I visited Automaxx to look at a Toyota Sienna that we saw on the website. We came on a Sunday afternoon and met with Alex who asked Sean to help (great guy). We test drove the van and I noticed a few things wrong with it (missing antenna, cracked taillight, and tire pressure monitor light on). Once I mentioned these things to Alex he informed me that we could bring the vehicle back within 30 days to fix ANY problem that we found and the dealership would make repairs. I returned two days later ready to negotiate when I noticed a "dealer service fee" of $599.00 that was not included in the advertised price of the vehicle. I mentioned this to Alex and told him that according to law the dealer fee must be already included into the advertised price. After getting this situated I came by ready to sign the papers andlooking for Alex but was told by Omar that he no longer works at the dealership and that he would assist us. I asked about the missing antenna, cracked taillight, and the tire pressure monitor light and he said that Alex did not order the parts however he would order the parts if I gave him a good review on the internet which I agreed. When antenna and taillight arrived I waited two more weeks to see if anything else was wrong with the van when my wife called me and told me about a loud grinding noise that the van was making and was afraid to drive it. That evening I drove the van and heard the loud noise so the next day I took it back to the dealership and spoke to Sean who called the mechanic and told him about the noise that it was making who diagnosed the problem as bad brakes and rotors without driving it. Omar came in, we told him about the problem. He stated that it was a used car and we bought the car as-is. I told him that Alex promised that we had had 30 days to bring the car back for repairs but Omar stated "I cant control what the salesmen say to make a sale" but shortly after a heated discussion on the salesfloor he agreed to repair the brakes and rotors again asking for a good review on the internet. Once my wife picked up the van and began to drive she noticed the noise was still there so she quickly returned to the dealership which is when Omar decided to drive it himself. After driving the van Omar said that it was a bad wheel bearing which was covered under the factory warranty then offered the number to his mechanic if Toyota wouldnt cover it.The next day I called Toyota who informed me that the factory warranty expires after 36,000 miles. Needless to say I had to pay to get the repairs done, the antenna was only 2 inches long and had no reception, and the tire monitor light is still on.

This was the absolute smoothest car buying experience I've had. Alex (sales) and Stanley (finance) were terrific. We knew that we would have to buy a new car soon when we stopped in here. We weren't actually planning on buying that day, but Alex and Stanley made it easy for us. We left with the vehicle that I really wanted. There was no pressure. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. I would definitely buy from them again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a like new "off lease" vehicle. They seem to only sell good, reliable cars.

My husband and I came to this dealership with a particular vehicle in min. At this location they had two that was available for purchase. I asked if we couldve test drove vehicles and I was assured that I can. My husband test drove one and then we requested the keys for the other vehicle. I was told that I wasnt unable to test drive the other vehicle until I filled out a credit application. The Sales Manager and his assistant tried to assure me that it wont affect my credit score and also it was just to tell them what they can offer my family, which was a complete lie, running your credit ALWAYS affects your credit score. Well, I guess I looked that stupid. These people are hypocrites. I wont recommend them to anyone. Especially the sales manager, he's FULL of crap. I never knew that there was a law against me test driving a vehicle prior to doing a credit application. People beware, Stay away from this place.

This has been an awesome experience purchasing our Toyota Sequoia Platinum SUV. Starting with the sales (lady) Annette Wiggins, she was very patience well versed about inventory. She located the vehicle on the lot because this was an internet find for me. The truck was in excellent condition great price! The next step the Sales manager Omar is truly the finance guru. Down to the final signing of documents Stanely was very informative going over each contract. This was the icing on the cake. One day later Stanley called with an even better interest rate!!! Came back in signed new docs one year off financing lower monthly payment. This team at Automax Atlanta works overtime for it's customers. Omar provided the family with four new headsets for entertainment package not used headsets. I've enjoyed my experience at Automax Atlanta I personal would refer more people to them!!!!

I purchased a 2012 Toyota Tundra from Automax in late August. I was given a "We Owe" form from them stating things they promised to have fixed or done. During the purchase process I was told that they would fix an issue with the steering wheel and column as well as another key fob. I was told they were going to call me when the parts came in for the steering wheel and column and they would call me to set up an appointment and same about the key fob. After about 2.5 weeks going by and not receiving any call I called them to get any updates, they told me they parts were not in yet and to expect a call when they do. Another two weeks passed and nothing from them yet again. I called this past Thursday and spoke with a gentleman in sales/finance who transferred me to the service department who transferred me to Lakeem because none of them knew what was going on. After speaking with Lakeem, he sold me the truck, he told me he would check to see what was going on and would call me back in five minutes. After two days I have not received any call. I am very disappointed as Automax signed a contract stating they would fix these issues and I did my part to meet the criteria to keep that contract valid but Automax has not. I would be cautious as to expecting things from Automax even under a binding agreement. I will update if anything new arises.Update 11/7After my initial review I received calls from Lakeem to try to fix the situation. After calls back and forth with him I was transferred to dealing with Omar who after playing phone tag with two weeks finally sent my key fob to my address directly. He also told me that he would be in contact about fixing the steering wheel. After calling AutoMax multiple times a week I finally got in contact with Omar again and he said they have ordered one part but the other part was on back order. Every time I speak with anyone at Automax they say they will call me back in 5-30 minutes and I still have not a received and correspondence from them in the past 3 weeks if I do not initiate the phone call. When I call Automax directly I'm always sent to finance and then put on hold when transferred but it always goes to voicemail. I am done playing phone tag. I want what was promised to me. I will remind you that they signed form stating they WILL fix certain agreed upon things. This issue needs to be resolved completely ASAP or legal action will have to be my next step. I am only growing more and more frustrated with Automax.

Had a verbal, "out the door" price agreement with sales manager to buy a car on Monday evening, pending a favorable Tues am independent inspection. Test drive complete. When the inspector arrived, Tues am, the car was sold. When, I confronted him, he claimed that the car was purchased through internet sales. They could have at least called and allowed me to make a counter offer. They broke a verbal contract. Where is the honesty, integrity, and character in this transaction? DON'T BUY A CAR HERE-BUYER BEWARE!

We came from another dealership that would not honor the price that was listed on the internet, mind you it was on there for about a month, but the manager Mike said it was a "typo". Typo my at#$%. So we sat in their parking lot and found Automax. We drove there and we saw the truck that we liked, very nice, but Alex the salesperson mentioned a truck that just came in and really didn't want to show us because it was still dirty and needed cleaning but he showed us the vehicle anyway and THAT WAS THE TRUCK for us. I went to look at a very nice Toyota Tundra, but they wouldn't budge on the price. A week later they wend down on the price. I called to verify pricing and told them that the battery will need to be replaced since it was dead the first time I test drove it. The second test drive went well, except when the battery died AGAIN! They tried to hide the fact that the battery died and blamed it on accessories being turned on while they fixed the tire pressure sensor. Then try to jump it off without my knowledge (being sneaky in the back) and that is when I inspected the battery and seen that it was never replaced. They gave me a hard time about getting it replaced. Finally after the Manager told me it was only $75 to replace, I said well why are we hassling over it, just put a new one in then. They finally replaced it. I asked if it had all the key and they were like yes, it only has one and it is in it. I was so fed up, I left and didn't realize that they did not include the remote keyless entry, so I had to manually lock it and it is required to control the remote start. It end up costing me another $165 at the Toyota dealership to get one. Oh, also 10 miles down the road, the tire pressure sensor went off again. The Toyota dealership said that one of the sensors is shot and would need to be replaced for another $150 plus labor. I end up not getting it. The Toyota Tundra is great and I like everything about it. I think I got a fair deal. However, if I would have known that the tire pressure sensor was shot and it didn't have a remote for the keyless entry and remote start, I would have gotten them to reduce the price to cover the cost to get these replaced or left without buying it.Buyers beware and inspect everything about the vehicle. If they tell you they can fix it themselves in their shop, don't believe them. Just have them reduce the price so you can take it to the dealership to get it fixed.

Omar, his manager was willing to meet my budget in a short period of time and I walked away with a very nice Acura. I was so happy I got the car of my dreams a Honda Odyssey. It ended up being nothing but problems. Not sure who had it before me or where they got it but has caused me a lot of headache. I have had to get so much fixed on it since I got it. Every month its something. $200 dollar something's every month on top of my new payment and things that aren't always covered under the warranty ( which I was told when I bought it that if anything goes wrong with it the warranty will cover it). Also each time it is a $100 dollar deductible each time. All the time I have spent without a car and had to rely on someone to get me to work or my kids to school. The dealership replaced the routers (which were rusted) , brakes and repainted the bumper ( which was peeling yes peeling). But so much more has happened the tires were all plugged three or four times and had patches they all had be replaced. Alternater and battery had to be replaced, window main switch control,leak from Axel, recall not done on airbag ( which I asked if it was done before I bought it), need oil changed and air filter replaced within the first month I bought it, brake lights bulbs replaced (which they said they fixed before I left the dealership so I drove 2 hours away back home with no brake lights),etc..etc..etc. I just feel like my dream was a nightmare and next time if there is one I will buy new and have no one else's problems. I thought a lease( people have to take care of leases) and the Carfax were good( which was a lie it had to have been in a accident so I was told by a few car mechanic's) next time I will know better.

This dealer was recommended on my USAA website. Of course this is my trusted bank so I thought I could trust the dealers that they refer, but that is besides the point. I just want to start by first saying how the sales associates sold me on this car was when they said the many "inspections" each car goes through before being put on the lot, and how honest they are to their customers, now what would you think when somebody explains that to you? Well I thought that means everything is inspected and what needs to be fixed will be before hitting the lot, or if it is not fixed this would be told to you. Well that's not what I went through, as soon as I sign the papers and as I am shaking his hand he tells me that the gas meter needs to be fixed on my car and that they ordered the part. The part was apparently already ordered and I should have been able to get it fixed within a few days. Well, long story short took me 3 weeks to get this replaced after dropping my car off twice to them. Then, between this time after a few days of driving my car dies on me in the middle of the road at 11 at night and I struggle looking everywhere to buy a battery for my car because apparently my alternator was bad and made my car died. I take it back to the place and they "fixed" it and also claimed to check everything else out in my car because of the noise I did not like that was coming from the back. They claimed everything was good... I finally get my gas meter fixed.... And today my car just overheated in the middle of the road and has all kinds of fluid leaking from the bottom. Point blank, they DO NOT check out every car with however many inspections they claim. if so, they would not have sold this car to me or they need a new mechanic that claims to check every thing. At this point, I've taken my car to an actual mechanic and have many things I must replace that will cost me an arm and a leg, which should be them replacing everything however I do not trust not one word they say or do. I should have known when they decided to tell the gas meter did not work AFTER I buy the car. If you do decide to buy from them I highly recommend suggesting a thorough mechanic check the car that does not get paid by automax Atlanta!!! I have never been so disappointed in purchasing a car, I definetly got screwed beyond belief but this will never happen again. This will not be my last complaint on them I will be sure to make it more known. USAA is even trying to make up for having them recommended on their site.Take my advice.

TALK ABOUT YOUR PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES. We drove to Memphis 3 1/2 HOURS, hopped a plane to Atlanta, MARTA to Doraville where Adam met us with the Lexus 450H. We started our test drive at the time the lot closes. The lot had many great luxury cars with few miles and well priced. Everyone stayed late and dealt with us until we were driving the car back to Missouri. I read these reviews about driving 2 1/2 hours to deal with Automax. I think we have them topped. ten hour drive home. There was a hiccup with the car not having all that was advertised. HOWEVER, they actually took RESONSIBILITY for it and lower the price accordingly. ADAM, OMAR AND THE STAFF were pleasant, professional and most accommodating (almost travel agent/car salesman We are very happy with the vehicle and the experience. Now I don't know why you would listen to people crazy enough to buy a vehicle this way, but if you find the car you want at their lot, you can trust them and have a great car buying experience, like us. I would have to say that the overall experience I had with this dealership was great. I am extremely happy with the auto I purchased as well as the help I was given from Annette Wiggins. I live in Alabama, so I pretty much did everything over the phone and through email leading up to my arrival and final purchase of auto. This was my first car buying experience in about 7 years and I was extremely pleased with how I was treated. The only negative thing I can say about the purchase was obtaining the disc for the Navigation in my new auto. They did not have the correct disc for the vehicle and it took about 2 weeks for me to receive it through the mail. I would have to say if that is the only negative thing throughout the entire experience, that is not too bad at all and is the only reason for not receiving 5 stars. I would just like to thank Annette again for all her help and professional attitude and making this car buying experience for my growing family a wonderful one.

We purchased a 2012 Lexus LS460L from Automax Atlanta. I have not purchased a Lexus from a used car lot before, so I was somewhat skeptical about the experience...including a warning from my own authorized Lexus dealership. However, to my very pleasant surprise, it was a great experience. The car was pristine (from California) except for some damage to the chrome wheels. Omar, the general manager, put 4 new chrome Lexus wheels on the car as part of the purchase price, and we departed very pleased. Annette was our sales rep, and she was very friendly and accommadating. I would highly recommend this used car company.

Bought a 2011 Honda Odyssey Ex-L from here. There is a reason for their low prices. Many reviews on here talk about this dealership selling wrecked vehicles and it is the truth. We have had our car 8 months now and the clear coat has started peeling off. Took it to our local Honda dealer and they showed me signs all over the car were it has been repainted and that the front windshield has been replaced. There was overspray and paint runs all over the car that I should have noticed. This was of course not disclosed when I purchased the vehicle and my lack of expertise really cost me. So I call the dealership and talk to Lakeem who sold me the car. He says that he's with a customer and will get right back with me and of course never does.I wonder how many people on here that gave positive reviews don't even know they purchased a wrecked vehicle???Don't do it!!! The prices are great but there's a reason.

I found Automax Atlanta through an ad online. They had a very well priced cars, in particular, a 2012 Honda Odyssey that I was interested in, so I went to test drive. Overall the car was in very good shape, but need a couple touch ups (side fender, chipped mirror, break pads a bit soft, etc). Alex was my sales rep and he was very accommodating, and worked hard to meet all my requests to get the car in the shape I wanted to purchase. He was very friendly, professional, and responsive. I had a good experience with AutoMax Atlanta, and purchased the 2012 Honda Odyssey. I would recommend you ask for Alex if you shop there. He will do everything he can to get you what you need.

I found Automax Atlanta through a Car Gurus ad online. They had a very well priced cars vs the market in the area, in particular, a 2012 Honda Odyssey that I was interested in, so I went to test drive. Overall the car was in good shape, but need a couple touch ups based on my own inspection (side fender, chipped mirror, break pads a bit soft, etc). Alex was my sales rep and he was very accommodating, and worked hard to meet all my requests. He was very friendly, professional, and responsive. Post sale, the back brakes started squeaking really bad, and I was told by multiple auto parts stores, and a mechanic friend, the back rotors were shot and need to be replaced. Also, the new brake pads they put put on were cheap (semi metallic), so I had to replace those with better quality ceramic pads, to quiet the braking as well. I had to come out of pocket an extra $250 total, post sale, to get it in the right condition I expected before I drove off the lot. That being said, they cars are well priced, and they are used, so you have to expect imperfections. I would just suggest if you shop here, make sure you or your mechanic ask all the right maintenance questions up front, and the proper service is deployed, before driving off the lot. In the end, I still got a great car at a great price, but should have been a bit more diligent in my inspection, with the price for the car being lower than normal. Live and learn.

I purchased my 2011 Lexus IS 250 just over 2 weeks ago at Automax and had a great experience. I had been shopping around for this model car at the dealers in town and at Carmax, and even test drove a few elsewhere. My search brought me to Automax because I couldn't find the color combination I wanted anywhere else. I came across Automax through my online searching and found the car I was looking for, as well as a killer price. I live in downtown Atlanta, so Lilburn seemed like a hike, but really not much further than any other dealership. I do a lot of research before buying a car, and this car, and it's history was right on par with what I wanted to buy. I called and spoke to Stanley the day before I stopped by, and he was ready for me the next day when I came to test drive the car I found online. I didn't feel any pressure whatsoever, and the finance experience with Anna was great, she is so sweet. During and after the purchase of the car, I have to say that Stanley really followed through with what he said he was going to do, and I truly appreciated that. Also I have to give a heads up to the woman that works on titles, I called a few times and she was always friendly and ready to answer my questions. This is not a gold lined Lexus dealership with a snobby staff, but Automax is certainly worth it's weight in gold. Ps, I absolutely love my car, just make sure you do your research beforehand. The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars across the board is because I didn't get an answer to an email I sent, so there is always room for improvement.

I recently bought a car from Automax and I am pleased with my purchase.However that being said, when I originally called about the car, I was told by Stan, that the car was in good condition, everything worked,and the only blemish was the fading of the paint. When I arrived at the dealership, I noticed a 16 inch piece of door molding that was missing. I asked and received a shrug. Later driving the car home, I learned that the speedo and tach did not work. The check engine light was on, radio and passenger power window did not work.and a damaged battery was placed in the car. I would go back to Automax, however I would be more diligent in assessing my purchase. Scott Prescott

I was searching for my car for several months, visited six dealerships in person to get my car appraised, and to test drive my (future) vehicle. None were the color I wanted. I randomly happened to check cars.com one last time before I made a trip out of state. I believe Allah provides, when your heart is pure. The car I wanted in the rare color I wanted, with super low mileage, in excellent condition, and it was the upgraded model for the same price. They beat out CarMax trade in value just to help me get the car. The only thing that kept it from a perfect rating, was my OCD in cleanliness. I would have liked to see the car be a little cleaner. Then again, they just put the car up the day before I visited.But hey it wouldn't be a helpful review without some way to improve! And it's honest!Not only would I do business again, I will be calling for their advice on keeping the car in mint condition because they know what they're doing, at least for my car!

I initially wrote a nice review about Automax Atlanta and Alex Lakhani until I had to deal with him a second time. I purchased a 2012 Honda Accord in March 2015. The car had under 20K miles and I was repeatedly told by Alex Lakhani that the vehicle was still under warranty. This warranty was a concern of mine because I pointed out to Alex on several occasions that the rear seat/trunk pass through was broken. Alex told me that I could easily go to a Honda dealership and get it fixed because the car was under warranty. I didn't receive a reduction in the purchase price.Now June, I went to the Honda dealership in Gwinnett a few weeks ago to get the oil changed and fix the rear seat/trunk pass through. I learned that not only was the rear seat/trunk pass through broken, but the folding rear seat was not locking into place. I was also told that the warranty on the car expired in December 2014. I had to pay for the repairs.When I confronted Alex about his lies, he proved to me that he was dealing with simple logic by stating that the warranty does not run until the model year (2012), not before. Knowing that my logic is far superior to Alex, I know that the warranty begins to run when the car is originally purchased and that is is plausible that my 2012 car was sold to its first owner in 2011. Its more than plausible that the car was sold to the first owner in 2011 and the warrant expired in 2014.In addition, the car did not pass the emissions test on the date of purchase. I had to paid for a second emissions test a few days later (in March) with the promise from Alex that I would be reimbursed. The car passed the second emissions and I was told by Alex that the report was on its way to the Georgia Department of Revenue for my tag. I did not receive my reimbursement until May, and that was after I called to inquire. Furthermore, I did not receive my tag until the expiration date because no one from Automax bothered to call and let me know that my tag was ready for pick up. The moral of the story is review the vehicle's title history, not Carfax, before you purchase the car. Don't ever trust a car salesman, especially Alex Lakhani, and don't shop at Automax Atlanta. The car runs well and I enjoy it, but I must give all of the credit to Honda.Thank you for nothing Alex.

I should of had "my" mechanic look it over throughly before purchasing! I was promised zero rust but unfortuantely it's full of rust underneath. Also, I had to return to the dealership due to breaking issues. They kept me waiting for three hours while they supposedly corrected the problem, and it wasn't. Even the air filter was absolutely filthy; I've never seen one more dirty! The bottom line is I had to put $500 in for both front and rear breaks to be replaced to include the rotors, air filter replacement, oil change and transmission flush. I should point out that this is a newer vehicle.I feel deceived especially due to the rust. Also, while i was waiting for my supposed break repair, a previous customer had come in ver upset with finding out that her vehicle had so much rust that it had to be under coated! My reccomendation is that you have the vehicle looked over by an unbias mechanic before purchase!Unsatisfied customer

I was an out of state buyer, about 800 miles away, when either talking on the phone or over the email, they would answer my questions but not all, try and dodge them or never supply a truthful answer. Car reported minor accident when it had about 500miles, service records were from Lexus but not seeing the car in person just Stanleys comforting word of "just regular wear and tear" I flew out there to finally buy it after putting down a deposit. After owning the car for couple of days I started noticing problems so I started looking in detail at things, Stanley regular wear and tear turned into missing under-panels ($900), messed up all tires due to not done alignment ($1000), rear 255's switched to front and front (235) to rear, they would not fit correctly and would hit the control arm when turning. Front windshield being badly replaced, front bumper not lining up with fenders, fenders not lining up with hood, paint overspray so car was in some kind of collision, rear bumper not lining up with rear fenders and trunk-lid, drivers side door seemed like they were pried open by something, thus not correctly line up and now emitting annoying rattle on every pothole.Please pay a dealer mechanic or a certified mechanic to inspect the car before you buy, these people however nice they seem, they are not your friends nor are they even remotely honest, they are scammers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER!

"At Automax Atlanta we offer our years of expertise to provide our clients with a highly sought after, quality inspected, enjoyable vehicles". The statement above is the dealerships first line in "about us"...I am not sure about the quality of inspections because I purchased a 2008 VW GTI , with an intake modification. Now, I understand about buying "used" etc. etc. but where I get upset is the fact they "checked" out the car and "no faults were found". Well, I test drove the car, and it had a few issues, which were addressed and corrected; I commend them for this. However, 3 days later, I experience "hard shifting" and a check engine light come on. I take it to a VW dealership and have the 80k (car was at 77k) check up because I assumed this is what was needed at this mileage. During the check up, the mechanic ran a diagnostic test, and more than 22 faults were discovered. How can this be?? Hmmm...so, I find out the options are: replace the ECM or part, by part...I replace the ECM ($1400). I then get to find out the real problem is the shift sensor...yep located inside the tranny ($800 without labor THANK YOU VW FOR BEING VERY NICE). Now, I am racking up maintenance issues...ONE WEEK IN! So, instead of taking the dang car back, because, you know "used" blah blah blah...I get the car fixed. I then contact Omar about my issues and was told "forward me the invoice and I will see what I can do (did that on 19 October)...sent another email a week later to follow up...as of today, I have heard nothing!! I don't expect a full reimbursement, but xxxx, something...maybe a month's payment, 15% of my out of pocket expense...something. I would recommend taking your purchase to an off-site mechanic before purchasing. Although, these guys are very nice, I don't trust the mechanics or the lack of getting back to me (COMMUNICATION). A simple (Shawn, we cannot help you) is better than silence.

After looking at AutoTrader.com it appeared Automax had two or three cars I was interested in taking a look at along with taking a test drive. They provided numerous photos of the exterior and interior of the cars on the web site which helped narrow down which cars I was interested in prior to driving50 miles to take a look at the cars. When I called to see if the cars were still available I asked to talk to Stanley based on reviews I read about him provided by other car buyers. When I arrived at the dealership Stanley told me there were three cars I might want to look at but he mentioned one in particular as it had lower mileage, had more leg room not to mention it looked like new even though it was a 2011 Infinity convertable. We went for a test drive I liked the car and told him what I thought the car was worth factoring in my trade. Stanley went to bat for me and we were able to work out a deal in about 15 minutes. I also qualified for 1.9% finacing which I thought was terrific. I'd recommend working with Stanley as he is knowledgeable, fair and customer oriented. All in all it was the first time I bought a car where I left in a good mood.

During the price and terms negotiation they were reasonable and met me halfway around my concerns. Stanley Lalani provided excellent customer service throughout the process. Every used car has its issues, and Stanley was honest and upfront at all times with my questions. He went out of his way to help me get the vehicle inspected and to make sure it was the right purchase for me. After we made an agreement I then worked with Omar who is also awesome! These people are kind, trustworthy and honest. I'm a single woman so the trustworthy and honesty are very important to me. They noticed that the car I was purchasing really needed newer tires for safety reasons. This impressed me because they cared. It get's better. Once they were putting the tires on the car they noticed that the brake pads really needed changing. Instead of doing what most dealerships would have done, which would be to say nothing and let me be on my way, they replaced the brake pads for me. Omar literally went to the auto parts store, purchased the pads and then they installed. This spoke volumes to me about the care and character of this business. When I am ready to purchase again I will definitely return to Automax for future purchases. I absolutely recommend this dealership!!!!

I had the most pleasant experience with Automax Atlanta. I had been working with Stanley (via telephone) for several weeks on a car I really wanted to purchase. Stanley was wonderful to work with. Lakeem was my sales associate, he was very helpful and patient with me, as I was very indecisive regarding the color of the two cars that I had narrowed down my choice to. I spent two days and hours and hours going back and forth with my decision. . Then the experience elevated, I was in the sales manager, Omar's office and had decided on the black Lexus but he could tell that my heart was still with the red Lexus. He said that he wanted to make sure that I was happy. He offered to allow me to purchase the red Lexus and gave me until Monday morning to change my mind. I wanted to share my experience with you during my visit with Automax Atlanta. It started when I visited them to look at a 2011 Lexus ES 350. The car was very nice but there was also was one available at Atlanta Luxury Motors that I was also interested in so I decided to drive there after I left Automax Atlanta. When I arrived at ALM, the car was not nearly what I saw online. There was damage to the rear bumper and the right mirror was damaged as well. ALM also was selling this car as is- no warranty. Unbelievable!!!. So I drove back to Automax Atlanta and spoke to Lakeem about the Lexus and from there I test drove it. The car was amazing!!! What I like about Automax was that they take really good care of their cars and they was selling the car with the warranty from Lexus still available. The staff was super friendly from salesman Lakeem to sales manager Omar. Anna, the finance manager, work out an outstanding deal for me that i couldn't believe. I have NOT bought a car from this dealership, so I cannot rate my experience, BUT this is because I had a very unsatisfactory conversation with Alex L. Without provocation, he began to raise his voice and yell at me when we were negotiating the price of a car. I asked him if I had somehow done something to make him angry and he said I hadn't; he never offered an apology and seemed oblivious to the fact that he was being disrespectful. He also attempted to lecture me (like I had no idea what I was talking about) when discussing the dealership's fees and the pros/cons of the car he was trying to sell me. Ridiculous. If you want to be respected when buying a car from this dealership, don't talk to this man.

My recent experience with Automax Atlanta was very good to say the least. I purchased a used Ford Mustang GT convertible from them last week. I think the basic misconception is that when you buy a car used, you expect things to be close to perfection on a car. However realistically, its rare that you will find perfection in a used vehicle, especially at a given price. Automax's cars are very affordable. Given that, my car had a few MINOR issues and concerns that ALEX and STANLEY addressed right away that sold me on the car completely. Their willingness to accommodate the customers needs and do their very best to work with you until satisfaction is unmatched. My car was 'sold as is' but is actually being worked on as we speak as apart of the agreed upon price. All minor work (meaning none needed under the hood or on the exterior of the car). The car was beautiful to begin with and the engine has the sweetest sound. And It'll be as close to new as possible when they finish putting the final touches on it! Thanks Alex! Everybody there is honest, they're good people, and hard workers!

Alex, my sales person, was super nice and helpful during the whole process...from the moment he let me view and test drive the vehicle I was looking at, literally to the moment I was driving off the lot with that vehicle. There was never any pressure to buy the car, he just gave me whatever answers I needed. Even while waiting, he found a phone charger for me that would fit my android because my phone was dying. In addition, he agreed to tow my old, non-driveable car back to their place, so less worries for me there as well...AND on top of all that, Alex offered to help me bring back the rental car that I'd driven to AutoMax back to the rental place, so that at the end of the whole process... I was able to drive off the lot having a huge amount of stress lifted off my shoulders in my new vehicle! The rest of the employees were also very helpful, trying to make this process as painless as possible...I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a car!

We looked for weeks for the right vehicle and got very lucky to find the one we bought from Automax. We called and got very prompt service over the phone by Lakeem Jackson! Then when we got there everyone was very hospitable; it felt like going to a friend's house. They did EVERYTHING to help us get what we wanted. We made all of the decisions with out being hassled to get something that we did not want or need. Typically when one goes to a car dealership, it is not a pleasant experience. My husband did not want to look for a car because he did not want to deal with being harassed or pushed into things that we did not want or need. We were both completely surprised by the experience at Automax Atlanta in Lilburn, GA. I have NEVER done a review on a dealership because I was taught that when you have nothing nice to say you should say nothing at all. We LOVE Automax Atlanta!!
