I was especially satisfied with the car itself which was in better condition than I expected. I never would have thought buying a car 1/2 way across the country could be so simple. Good Dealer

I bought a Porche Caynne from them and I am very satisfied with the purchase. Buying a used car, there is always a chance of ending up with a car with some hidden issues. But, I thinking they pick good cars caring for a specific industry segment. I also like that they did to push the sale on me.

Best buying experience ever!

My husband is a Vet we went through USAA with Carfax. What a great experience. Mo was so helpful with information on Trucks and what type would be best for what i needed. I give Mo so much credit in handling all my questions. I never visited their facilities, nor did i test drive the truck, I know you all think I am crazy, but i believed in the dealership and researched the truck history and asked questions, so that i was conferrable in purchasing without doing what normal people do. My family thinks I am crazy, but Mo states if ever i have any problems contact him and we will figure it out. My Truck will be transported to me and i am beyond excited. Thanks for all you help Mo

Buy here if you want to fix your new vehicle

Bought a 2006 Land Rover in November from Auto By Design. 3 days after purchasing, the check engine light came on. Had the code pulled and the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The dealer gave us a 30 day/1000 mile warranty upon purchase, but the exhaust system was not covered. Sean, the owner, offered to have his own mechanics look at it, but with us living 4 hours away, that was not possible. So then, he offered us "a deal" by paying for the part while we flipped the bill for the labor. Upon actually getting it fixed, the exhaust was found to be an off the shelf muffler set clamped together in series, with two different sizes of piping also all clamped together, and two incorrect oxygen sensors that damaged the threading (due to not being for the right make and model), which caused the check engine light and ended up costing me $800. When I purchased this vehicle, I was told there was a new suspension (which in reality was just a refurbished suspension), and a new exhaust (which in reality may be new for the vehicle, but was just a makeshift set of different parts put together to look like an exhaust). At this point I'm upset and dissatisfied buying a vehicle that we had to turn around and fix right away on top of negotiating over a few weeks with an established business to help fix the problem. I was relieved to have taken it to a different repair shop to make me aware of the exhaust system issues and not have them "fix" the problem only to have more issues in the future. After I was made aware of the exhaust system issues from the repair shop I called Sean with the new repair cost. I gave him 3 options that could help retain his reputation, at least on our end, after selling us a vehicle that wasn't fixed properly. 1st was to have a complete diagnosis from Land Rover to find other issues and Sean pay any repairs, he declined. 2nd was I return the Land Rover to him and receive a full refund, or 3rd do nothing and have his reputation as a "great dealership" be tarnished. After a few choice words at an elevated temper from him, he agreed to take the Land Rover back. We were on the road to take it back when he called 30 min later stating he changed his mind. He let me know that while he had a chance to "cool off" he spoke with his mechanics and would give me $800 by tacking that onto a price of another vehicle. At this point I told him I still wanted to return the vehicle as I was questioning what else he could be covering up with the vehicle. He accused me of "making him emotional and upset." While I was calm and collected he could do nothing but raise his voice and cut me off, telling me I have "buyer's remorse." We liked the vehicle, just questioning the dealership and their product. Working in retail management for many years, I would bend over backward for ANY customer who felt wronged, because that's good customer service and creates more business in the future. If my product sucked, I would find a solution that worked, even if it meant taking a temporary hit on profits. My experience with Auto By Design ended up being very deplorable. Not all the fault is his, I should have known better, taken it to get inspected by a 3rd party before purchasing. Yet at least a car dealership that is backed by a major auto manufacturer has a reputation to uphold and actually back their product.

Helpful to my needs, put brand new tires on, negotiated somewhat reasonably, and overall left me with a decent car buying experience.

A couple of years ago we purchased our daughter's first car (Fiat) from Sean at Auto By Design. It was the first used car we'd ever bought in our life. We've bought and leased numerous cars over the past 25 years and hated that entire cycle but, didn't want to chance the used cars. Then, after our first purchase with Sean, at Auto By Design, we realized that we'd found a better way of purchasing our vehicles and decided to finally end that whole habitual process of leasing/buying new. We had such an awesome experience with the Fiat that we just bought our 2nd used car (Ford Expedition) from Sean, which has turned out to be another amazing deal! Great Car Buying Experience

This is one place you have to visit if you are in the market for a used car! Like others have said, Sean the owner is very passionate about cars and is very picky about the cars he sells. His pricing is competitive and his cars are in impeccable condition compared to other places I visited. He really worked to get the financing that we needed and there was never any pressure to buy. My husband did not get a chance to meet him but after speaking with him on the phone and from my recommendation, he said that when he replaces his Hummer he is going to Sean to purchase it!

Range Rover Purchase

I bought a ranger rover sport from Sean and that truck was owned by Sean for a while. Overall great experience. No haggles with the deal very fair.. I worked with Sean on a sale of a 2008 Tundra. He made the sale smooth and painless. He assisted with getting me set up with financing with one of his lenders. He was very informative, but never a pushy salesman. He keeps high quality stock at his facility and it is very clean and organized. I found a discrepancy on the carfax report and on the spot, Sean called the Toyota dealership that had done repairs and had them send over records showing the accurate work done to the vehicle. Incredible buying experience and I love my new truck!

Overall Great Exoerience!

I had been looking for Hondas for months in the Midwest area but none compared to the online prices of Auto By Design. Even with my flight to the DC area the car still ended up being more affordable than if I had purchased a car in my area. The customer service was great and since being back they have followed up with my purchase. I was skeptical of finding a car online, but can truly say It was a very smooth flawless process.

Quick and Simple

I went to look at a specific car on a Sunday. They are not open normally but Sean lived close enough he met me there to open the place so I could check out a Lexus he had. He was very helpful and seemed honest, wasn't pushy and got me a much better financing deal than I had through my bank which allowed me to add on an extended warranty. I live out of state over an hour away and work full time so he was flexible enough that I signed for the car and he emailed me the contract as soon as the financing was approved the next day. I recently purchased a 2005 Audi from Auto by Design. The experience was very pleasant from the time I called on the phone through making the actual purchase. The staff were very courteous and straightforward. The contract was simple and did not contain any hidden clauses. The price was very competitive and they even replaced three additional parts, including an ABS module, at no expense to me. I LOVE MY BMW!

I recently purchased BMW 335i Coupe from Auto By Design. When I called them over the phone they where extremely helpful sending me over the Carfax 1-Owner Report, service records and over 80+ pics in detail of the car. I was convinced that this was the car for me. When I arrived there I had my car waiting inside the studio so I was able to see every detail of the car under there lighting. When we took this car for a test drive I was sold! They provided a better rate than what my own bank was offering. This was the best deal I found! I purchased a BMW X5 2010 from Auto by design and i had a great experience. SInce they didnt have this car in stock and upon my request, they were able to find it for me with every option I wanted. When I stopped by to pick up the car, it was exactly as it was described, detailed and ready to go. All the papers were ready for me sign and I was on my way in no time, enjoying my new ride!!!!
