On November 7th 2016, Customer Service Representatives and Service Manager ignored customer with a 2006 Audi A3. Customer was scheduled to bring her Audi A3 in at 10 A.M. to remove rim to ascertain if bolt pattern was 5 x 112 or 5 x 110. A female customer service representative didn't understand bolt patterns and confused it with tire size. The Service Manager who was an older man was busy doing something else and ignored the 2006 Audi A3 owner. Service Manager showed no interest in assisting the Audi owner. The reality of Des Moines Audi's so-called Great Customer Service referenced by other Audi owners on this web site applies only to newer Audi's under warranty. Audi Des Moines does not care to service the older Audi. However; they want do want to sell or lease a new model. Dealerships like Audi Des Moines have only one mission: Sell Cars and service the Audi still under warranty...not assist owners with older models. Love Audi's. But will never buy on from Audi Des Moines. The 2006 Audi A3 owner was assisted by the Volkswagen Dealership next door. Those folks understand what Customer Service is all about. Audi Des Moines employees need to take lessons from them.

I took my Audi Q3 in for 25,000 mile oil change and tire rotation on Thursday 9/15. I was informed my vehicle also was due for a software update which was performed. I live a little over 1 1/2 hour from Des Moines so visits are a full day. On the way home I noticed that the " inspection due" light was on as well as the tire pressure monitoring system light which prompted me to check all 4 tires and reset TPMS. I called but everyone was gone for the day. I called about 8 the next morning and was told possibly technician forgot to reset but would check and call me back. I also mentioned the speed display was different but was told probably update and to play with it. no one had called back by 4 so I called back but got the machine even though it said they would be there til 5 and left a message. On Saturday I had a message about my satisfaction with my visit but not a call from the sevice department. When I called back about 1:30 I got the machine and left another message. On Monday I did receive a call back and was told possibly the update caused the alerts and I could bring it in. With a 1 1/2 hour drive to Des Moines that was not something I opted to do. I will have to have my tire pressure checked locally and reset the monitor but the "inspection due" light will have to stay on since only an Audi dealer has the scanner to change it. The staff while I was at the dealership was fine but I definitely feel the followup service was lacking and unprofessional.

Came to the dealer with intention of trading '13MDX Advance FOR A '17MDX Advance. My previous salesperson moved out of state (last 2 Acura vehicles). New salesperson ok, but the GM had the only Advance '17MDX and didn't have the keys to get in. However, this demo vehicle is for sale. Salesforce was indifferent to my request, acted like I couldn't afford the vehicle anyway (I'm a cash buyer!!). So, I was not allowed to sit in/test drive. I do not tolerate arrogance from someone I'm trying to work with. Unfortunately, I'll have to take my business elsewhere. NOTE: had similar issue in late 2012 with this dealer. Bought my '13MDX from a dealer in another state. At least the service dept is decent.

Buying a car from a distance can be challenging. George worked with my friend Brian who lives in the area, which allowed me to get the car I wanted in a compressed time frame. The Delivery experience was first rate both in facilities and in George spending time with me to make sure I was comfortable with the features in the car.

Brain Braak rocks!!! Residing in St.Paul MN. I had spent 6 - 8 weeks shopping for an AUDI I was referred to Brian Braak by my credit union's auto buyer service. Brian changed my opinion on car dealers. He was fair honest and wanted the business. We completed the buying process via the phone and email of my trade in photos, I reviewing the Q5 via the AUDI of Des Moines web site, entire sales was via the internet. I was very pleasantly surprised with a excellent deal and drove to Des Monies a week later for delivery of a 2016 model when I had started looking for a used 2015. It wast here are the keys, and see you later. It was a delivery experience, Bran took the time to show use every feature and we didn't leave until he was satisfied he has us educated. In addition we were shown the service area and introduced to all who would ever be involved with us. He has spoken with me several times after delivery in followup to verify all is as expected. Seriously cannot wait until I am ready to trade, Brian will be my first call. If you want the ultimate sales process with fair treatment Brian Braak is the person to see.

Our Sales person Brent was willing to help us, and still continues to Answer questions for us. The hope is that we will enjoy this vehicle and be willing to purchase the next set of vehicals with him. He was Kind and we believe honest in answers to the questions we had for him. I live in Springfield, IL & the dealership is in Des Moines, Iowa. Drove less than 1/2 the distance between to pick up my new car & they took my trade. I say this, not because I am familiar with all auto dealers in Iowa, but I do not see how anyone can top the overall customer experience provided by Lithia Audi of Des Moines. My latest vehicle purchase was smooth, as always. The folks in sales, service, finance, and leadership, are all professional and respectful. I am treated with the utmost respect as a customer, but more importantly, as a person. I've always been pleased with the negotiated deals. They are fair, and open about what they feel they need to recognize as a reasonable profit, as much as I look for a reasonable sale price. I have never felt gouged, and the process has always been done with respect. I will continue to give my future business to Lithia Audi.

I've been dealing with the service department at this dealership for different marques for more than 25 years. This visit, as always, I got top notch service from friendly, super-competent staff. They went out of their way to be sure that I was happy with the work, that I got the best value for the money that I spent and just made sure that the work done was clear, understandable and at a fair cost. I have dealt with a lot of service departments in my years of car ownership. This staff has consistently been outstanding and standing head and shoulders over the others in quality of work, friendliness, customer service and concern for the customer. I stopped by the Audi Des Moines service center on a long road trip from Nebraska through Wisconsin. I had recently purchased my Audi A3 as a used car from another dealership, so I had no idea when the oil had last been changed or the tires rotated. While these things were being accomplished, I asked numerous questions and received lots of information as to certain facts I didn't have about the car in general. The service was completed easily, and the findings were fully explained to me along with various options as to repair or future maintenance. They were able to conduct an additional brake fluid flush in my same visit that I had not previously scheduled. The staff also helped me reprogram the key fob and give me good advice for getting the lug nut covers off in case I needed to change a tire. All in all I walked away with a great deal more information than I had previously, and a better sense of comfort and confidence getting back on the road for a lengthy trip.

I went to Audi Des Moines to look at a late-model Subaru Outback they had in stock. It was in great condition, and Brad was informative and helpful about the auto-buying process. Once we decided we wanted to buy the car, the price was fair (well, I thought the price was great, though I have no negotiating skills), the hassles were low, and the sales manager Brent stepped up to help coordinate paper-signing when the business manager was busy. He also was great to work with and very efficient. The result was an extremely efficient process that led to us getting out of there without our two kids totally losing it. I'd definitely recommend all of the experience.

We had to fly up from Omaha to test drive the Allroad, and Jorge was kind enough to pick us up,teaching me about the car all the way in. He spent as much time with us as we needed, helped me with color and add ons, and knew so much about the car I wanted to bottle him! I'm picky, and I was extremely happy with the way John Mealey (service manager) and Phil (service tech) approached a complex problem: Adapting keys to the immobilizer system on my wife's S4 Cabriolet. Phil understood the problem immediately and kept me in the loop as he addressed it, he also shared his technical insight on the car (I want to make this one last). The electronic immobilizer system is not something that is typically adapted outside of the dealership, and doing it wrong can (surprise) immobilize the car, so this is one of those times when it is better to engage the experts. The new service facility is nice (apparently today was moving day) and the service organization was highly responsive. It's not often I take a car to the dealership. I own the factory service manual as well as VAG-Com diagnostic software, and I enjoy figuring out the technical aspects of the car. I have long valued the parts department (Jeff Siddens) but I am not usually a service dept. customer. I have owned Audi cars since my first new car in 1985, and I would feel comfortable taking our A8 as well as our S4 there.

Dealer would not appraise vehicle while I was present. When going over the financials, and I asked for an explanation why my vehicle (that was paid for and clear title) was not given a fair trade amount I was told, "it is a fair price for a vehicle in rough condition". Which was untrue. I was trading in a 2005 Chevy Colorado and they gave me less than $5000 for value. Also, I had an ad off a website that gave the price of the vehicle at $11,500 but upon review of the financial papers it was over $14,000. I asked the dealer why this was and was quickly brushed off and it was said that he, the employee, had a birthday party to attend so needed to wrap things up quickly. In addition, there were 2 alarms that were not fixed, one was a motor code and the other is they left a flat spare in the vehicle. I asked for these items to be fixed, brought the car back to be serviced and neither was done. The codes were cleared, but not fixed. Two days later they returned and I took the vehicle to a mechanic which cost me an additional $345. Very bad experience and I will not darken their doors, at any of their dealerships. I also found my truck I traded on a auto website for 2.5 times what they gave me for trade value.

I phoned this dealer on July 27. The phone rang for awhile, and finally someone picked up. He identified himself as the general manager, and said things were hectic because it was a Saturday near the end of the month. I explained that I lived a couple hundred miles away, and was interested in a new Audi Q5, but I had a question about conflicting info I was seeing on the web about a specific option I needed. He started to take my contact details, and then said that someone named "George" had just walked by, and George was his Audi "expert". He handed me off to George, I asked my question, George said he would need to research this and would definitely have an answer by Monday. George took down my e-mail address, told me he would send me an e-mail that same day with his contact details, and then would follow-up with me on Monday.I never heard anything back. I realize that for every serious contact a dealership has, there are 100 that are just "window-shopping". The reason I contacted this dealer is because I had waited two days for a near-by Audi dealership to get me an answer to my question, and I got tired of waiting.One week later I purchased a new vehicle, not an Audi. I've had three Audi's in the past, but they missed a chance this time.Update - 6 August. I was contacted by Jorge Meza, who as it turns out was the person named "George" that I was transferred to the previous week. Mr. Meza and I had a productive conversation. It turns out that first of all, he had written my e-mail address down wrong, and then he misunderstood that even though the dealership didn't have a Q5 with my required option in stock, I was ready to special order one if necessary. Based on our latest conversation, I upgraded the "customer service" rating from "bad" to "good". My son and I had the pleasure of working on a very complex service issue with Jess Reiter that was due to a defective water pump that was installed by an authorized service shop in another state. The car broke down and had to be towed to Audi of Des Moines/Lithia. Jess was able to help us negotiate an agreement to have the car repaired in Des Moines versus us having to pay to ship the car 1,200 miles for the repairs. It was Jess who made countless calls to the out of state service shop to coordinate all the details and make this deal happen ! The quote I received JUST to have the car shipped to/from the original service shop was over $1,600 and it was through Jess's efforts that we avoided this added time and expense. Finally, the car was repaired by Jess and his team and we are 100% satisfied. The repair order included internal damage to the engine and it required major repair. In the end, my son and I received outstanding service - better than anything we ever expected. We will be going back to Audi of Des Moines for service on our A4 in the future and we are recommending them to all of our family and friends. Thanks again Jess !!!!!

I have purchased at least 20 new cars in my lifetime. Seldom have I found a salesperson who knew as much about the vehicle as I did prior to my purchase. Jorge (George) Mesa was the exception. He was knowledgeable about the Audi cars and when he did not have an answer, he admitted it and subsequently found one for me. He patiently demonstrated features on demo cars and gave me time to evaluate those of interest to me. As the vehicle I was replacing was of little interest to their used car department because of its age (a low mileage Mercedes SL) , he suggested ways for me to market it myself and I did so. We negotiated an acceptable price on a new A5 cabriolet and when there were delays in getting my order processed, he found a very similar substitute vehicle in the Audi pipeline. On delivery he carefully reviewed all of the many details of the complicated media and navigation systems which proved helpful in my further study of this elaborate machine. If Audi's product quality and service department proves to be as good as the purchase experience with Jorge Mesa, I will be quite satisfied. This car will be my third Audi.
