In 2010 when my wife and I relocated to the Raleigh, NC are we'd never heard of Auction Direct. Over the last six years they have proven to be the most reliable resource for finding just the right used vehicles for our needs. We've received fair offers for cars traded to them and been offered the best financing deals available. We just traded in the Pontiac G6 I bought from them in 2010 for a Jeep Grand Cherokee and got a great deal in the process. If you want to have a great experience in trading in and buying a used vehicle, don't go anywhere else!

Came in after shopping and comparing vehicles on line. At first, wasn't really sure what to expect until my sales person informed me on how they do business. After meeting the manager and seeing the vehicle I came in on, I must say...I was impressed. After doing additional homework, I actually bought my second vehicle for my family.

An amazing experience !!!!

The entire experience was absolutely amazing . Everyone was welcoming , and made me feel like family ! Went in not expecting to purchase a car and drove off the lot with a wonderful deal! My salesman Jahiem Boyd was the absolute best ! He made my experience very smooth and worth while. This is the place for you !

I had a salesman that never listened to my wants, he only wanted to put me in a car he wanted me to buy. After asking was there a return policy he told me no, that once i bought the car it was mine. I found that to be a lie. He was very pushy, and always in a rush to get me to buy a car. I will never buy a car from them again.

I went to Auction Direct last week, looking for a company car. The greeting at the door was nice, then they placed me with a salesman. This is when the experience became horrible. He appeared disgusted when I told him the amount of money I had to spend, then acted like I was, totally wasting his time and stated "this is how I make my money, you know". He kept telling me the cars change often and I needed to just go on the website to look. He proceeded to show me the cars but kept walking when I stopped to look at a couple. I asked him questions and he, again, stated I needed to just on on their website and look. He then took me inside to "show" me how the website looked, acting as if I was too stupid to figure it out for myself. I am not sure if it was because I had a small amount of money to spend ($9700) or because I was a female, or a combination of both. It was a horrible experience and I left his card in the parking lot - would NEVER give him a commission off of a sale. My bosses are in France, which I explained to him, and gave me a budget. That budget has increased to $13,000.00, but this salesman will NOT get my commission, IF I should decide to come back.

We did our homework and research before going, Which I highly recommend. Having that many cars we did not expect a representative to be highly knowledgable with all makes and models. With that being said, we had 3 cars picked out prior to making an appointment. The representative had the cars ready upon arrival. We picked out our car with out having to deal with high pressure sales. The financing process (good credit) was painless, professional and efficient. In and out in 3 hours. Their selection of cars is wide, no high pressure sales and the each representatives got the job done. When we need another car, we'll definitely be returning!

The staff were nice but. My experience was the worst. Ask for someone who have been there for a long time to help you and that really knows about the cars that they are selling because their best interest is getting that sale.

My Wife found the perfect second car on your site. Called and was informed car was available on Wednesday. Thursday my Wife went to see the car. She was able to take a test drive and decided this was the car for her. Friday we went back and saw our salesperson ( who was very efficient), and completed the sale. We sold our van to them, they processed all paperwork, and off we drove..very pleased .Good service in the process and it was a fair $ deal ( both selling & buying).

One of the worst experiences of my life. My car was stolen so I had to work fast and find a new car within a 21 day period (when the money from my rental ran out). I was going to car dealerships and test driving ones I liked so I could pull the trigger that day. Enter Auction Direct. I was given someone who was hired 5 days ago (just him, no other assistance) and who asked me a ton of questions when all I wanted was to roam the lot. It got so annoying that I had to look at him 3 times and say, "I would really just like to look around on my own, thank you." I found a car I liked and asked to test drive it. I was told to wait outside the front entrance. 30 minutes pass and they don't bring the car around. I went inside and asked and was told that the car wouldn't start and they were figuring it out. Well THAT'S cryptic. I pick another one and they take 20 minutes to bring it around. This guy could tell me nothing about the car. I looked everything up online at one of their station computers and decided I liked it so I wanted to get it. This was at 3:30 pm. I finally left that place with the car at 8:30. He didn't know how to do any paperwork and I sat around hogging the coffee area for hours. Oh, and then they called to verify my address for the license plate and I explained that they had the wrong address. The woman on the phone was taking to other workers and laughing and telling me how sorry she was. I had to read and spell my address 3 times before she got it right. I am ashamed I made my final purchase here. It was either that car or no car, and I had a job to get to. Terrible service. Will never recommend and will never return. At least the car is nice and has had little problems. Also, at least it started in the first place.

They tried

The salesman from Auction Direct USA contacted me via email and tried to be helpful. The car I was looking at was listed on Cars.com as a 2012 VW Passat with a 6-speed manual transmission; just what I've been looking for. The car was located only 80 miles from home so I was excited to find it. The saleseman contacted me first and we sent several emails back and forth. I asked the salesman to verify the transmission type in my second email. There were no actual pictures on Cars.com, only a stock photo. I was only interested in the car if it had a manual transmission and expressed this to the salesman. Several emails later and after several attempts to send actual pictures of the car, I received photos showing the car had an automatic. I sent a nice email in reply that I wasn't interested in an automatic but to please contact me if a 6-speed manual were to become available. I did not receive a reply. I cannot recommend.

My 2002 Toyota Tundra needed replaced. They gave me a fair amount on trade in and the Nissan Titan I bought was listed at a fair price. The issue was the major accident mark on the Car Fax. This was the reason the truck was cheap. When I discussed this with the dealer they told me a Car Fax was available on the truck but it was up to me to look at it. End of story. Perhaps I wanted too much honesty, but I would have settled for less if they would have made me another deal with a different truck. They would not. That is the reason I give Auction Direct a low score. It was their lack of caring after the sale was made even though the buyer (me) would have made another/different purchase more pleasing to live with. Moral: read the CAR FAX FAX and don't believe anything they say.

I have plenty of experience buying used vehicles through out my life and I was impressed with Auction Direct. When I walked in, I was a little surprised to be greeted and registered then introduced to a sales person. After the sales person explained to me Auction Directs Mission Statement and how they do business, they actual walked the talk. The salesperson and sales manager worked with me directly with out that running back and forth with the decision maker behind closed doors. My wife an I love our Mazda CX9.

I WILL NEVER BUY FROM AUCTION DIRECT, AGAIN!

If you dont have the best credit or enough for them to get paid off of your sale then forget Auction Direct. They get paid for every sale and you better have good credit or there whole attitude will change. we went in with a trade in plus $2,500 down payment and I have been buying cars for 20 yrs. with no problems until I met Brandon at Auction Direct. He tried to sale us there warranty which looks good at first but when you look into it and add all the fees in the end you will pay double for what its really worth. Also they will make you wait and tell you, we are working on it, but in reality a bank has already accepted the loan but they want a better deal ( on there sale not on your part) and we waited for 2 days after being approved to hear from them. also when we told them we did not want the warranty, Brandon threatened to take the truck back and not give it to us, saying we had to take the warranty or the bank would not approve our loan. I talked to the manager and told him how brandon yelled at us in front of everyone, threatened to take our truck if we didnt buy the warranty, and how he said your approved and then when you arrive to sign the paperwork, he would say we are still working on it and to make you wait 2 more days..also we had issues with the front bumper, front end, and a the thermostat went out, overheating the truck, they replaced it (the day we bought the SUV), THEY said the font bumper and front end was loose, they put a black zip tie and the front end still shakes, we took it back several times only to tell us its fixed and it was never fixed. they did not care about us or about getting us in a car when we put down 4,500 total and i had good credit, he was just mad because we didnt want a 20,000 car or some bogus warranty that he gets paid everytime he sales one...DONT GO THERE AND IF YOU DO BUY IT FROM ANOTHER SALES GUY. DO NOT BUY IT FROM THE WHITE LARGE GUY NAMED BRANDON AND DONT BUY THE WARRANTY, IT DOESNT COVER EVERYTHING!

While I didn't buy the car I wanted from them (and haven't yet), my experience here was one of the best I've ever had. I'm kinda the worst case customer. I refuse to give my personal information, and have some pretty high requirements. Edna had no problem working with me however and that's great. There was no typical salespeople here, definitely no pressure. Everyone was nice and helpful. The only drawback is that the price you see is about $500-$800 less than what it actually is UNLESS you use THEIR financing. I have a problem with that. Everything else about this business is what they claim it to be. So just take that into account when you're looking.
