No wait for oil service, problems found while rotating tires Zack and Brandon went above and beyond to order new parts and arrange dates to come back and get fixed. Their work ethic is epic and paramount to me referring this dealer.

If you live in an urban area always buy your car in an urban area. I am sorry I went to this dealership to purchase my VW. They try (phoney) so hard to provide excellent customer service and it back fires on them, but what else did I expect from a place like conservative, "Hicktown" Pasadena, Md.?! It is not worth your trip to go there unless you live and work in that area.

Set back. More trouble then I bargained for.

My experience with this dealership was horrendous. I brought my newly purchased certified pre owned Volkswagen into this dealership for an oil change on Monday. I also was having issues with my rear view mirror attaching, and was told that would be fixed and covered by my CPO. I am a young graduate student who recently moved to Maryland from New York and thus have no additional supports down here. I am a first time vehicle owner, and this is my first time bringing my vehicle anywhere for service. I went to the dealership because my understanding was that the quality of service was at an above average standard here. I was wrong. After keeping my car over night to wait for a part, I was called and told that the mechanic working on my vehicle broke my windshield and that they would need to keep my car for an additional night/day. When I called the dealership back to discuss this matter, as I am a full time graduate student and commute over and hour on 95 south everyday for class. I was told that in similar situations, a loaner car would be provided, but right now "none are available". This is unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable. I made arrangements to get to and from my internship at the Montgomery county health and human services offices for the first day they needed to keep my car. now I am down and out yet another day, and have no way to attend my classes tomorrow (which I pay of pocket for). I never thought I would be this displeased with Volkswagen as their standard of customer service always seemed to be high. I have only owned my vehicle for 3 months and it is sad to say I am already regretting the decision.

This dealership was great: very clean, well organized, but, more importantly, the service was outstanding. For medical students, we walked out of there happy with an affordable lease payment. Samuel Serio (our salesman) took to the time to listen to our concerns, helped us reach an affordable payment plan, and even taught us how to drive a stick shift (since that's what we had decided to lease). After having spent a few weeks looking at cars, we are glad we made our way to Antwerpen!

Persistent, professional, knowledgeable, personable, understanding-these are the qualities I found in the team members at Antwerpen who helped get out of a car that literally made me cry to a beautiful car that brings me peace. Can put no price tag on that! For them they were only doing their job but it meant much more to me.

This place is a joke. Very shady people. To begin with place doesn't even display prices for their pre-owned vehicles instead the sales man carries a piece of paper in his pocket with questionable prices. We came in with cash ready to buy a car today! But the man said he was looking for people to finance and not pay cash and he is not really open to negotiating prices, so I guess they enjoy the loss of business. Would I ever recommend this awful unprofessional place..Never! Well the only thing I have to say is they can keep their cars and shove them all where the sun don't shine because there are a million car dealers who are willing to take my money and get a car off their lot. As for rating stars, this place deserves a huge NEGATIVE(-)100 stars;I was forced to put a star in order to write facts and warn smart people about this location.

Drove 40 miles to look at this vehicle. Went there because of a good asking price. Then when ready to buy the vehicle; they add a $1400 repair order fee and called it a Maryland State Inspection Fee! He said the fee was from repairs done on the vehicle back in January! It is now August and instead of changing the online price; they spring it on you once you decide you want the car!!! Never heard of this from all the dealerships I've talked to over the years!!! If you want to get ripped off; got to Antwerpen VW; if not, find a reputable dealer!!!!

What is superlative customer service? How often do people search and purchase vehicles from dealerships who promote false promises driven by their personal agendas? Thankfully at Antwerpen Volkswagen, I was able to experience superlative customer service and avoided the latter! Arguably, words do little to describe my overall satisfaction and the level of professionalism exhibited by Rhia and the Antwerpen Team. Thank you for your determination, advise and guarantee of purchase, I love my new 2014 VW CC Sport!

I reached out to six dealerships with a broadcast message of specifications and my acceptable coast. Antwerpen was the only serious response. Their sales manager listened, offered what he could and made the deal work. The sales rep and finance manager were "icing on the cake"...both added to the dealerships professionalism and customer care. Bottom Line: I drove off the lot a happy VW owner and will go back for future VW's.

These guys have really tanked since I bought my car there in 2009. I believe in spending my money locally but only if the customer service is good. I've been in and out of there for my cars needs over the years and learned early on that you have to be armed with info about what you are going in there for. If not they take every opportunity to charge you more than whats fair. My latest interaction has prompted this review. I had an exhaust sensor go bad in my car and no time to do it myself so I got a quote from Fitzgerald in Annapolis and these guys. Going into this I knew what the OEM sensor cost from the dealer and online. I get a price of $180 from Fitzgerald and $210 to install it. I call the service dept at Antwerpen and talk to Frank. He tells me the part will be $224 and 2 hours labor to put it in which equals $260. I ask him why the discrepancy in price for the part and he tells me that he's not sure why they can sell it to me for that price because it costs $184 from VW. He then comes back and says if I order the part from him and wait a day or so for to be shipped the price would be $147. Shouldn't it have been $147 to begin with especially for someone who bought there car there??? I tell Frank the difference is roughly $40 and its worth it to me not to wait. I bought the sensor from Fitzgeralds and thats when I find out the install is only $210 but they don't have availability until Monday to put it in. Surly Frank at Antwerpen will match the labor cost, right??? Nope, when I as Frank again why the discrepancy he says they are a competitor and he does not know what they charge for labor. Really Frank, you don't know what the competitor charges? $260 plus shop material charges. Shop materials is another way they can dig money out of your pocket to buy soap and paper towels for the mechanics. All shops have this charge but some are reasonable and some are not. The shop foreman tried to describe this to me as an "industry standard." Its amazing what they will tell you. So, to wrap this up keep driving right by this place! If you do go in for something, you better know in advance what a fair price is what you want done. They will take advantage of if you don't know. I believe is 2nd chances. People have a bad day, weren't hugged enough as a kid, or just make a mistake. I have given these guys more than a 2nd chance and they continually to prove how eager they are to be shady! Be sure to read the google reviews as well.

I walked into this dealership back in 2012 to purchase a new car for my wife for her birthday as a surprise. I was greeted by then salesman, now manager, Nate Thomas. Nate was great he took the time to show me some vehicles I was interested in and I chose a new 2012 Jetta SE. Nate expedited the paperwork, got the car cleaned up and even put the car on the showroom floor with a big bow on it for her. I told Nate that I was going home to pick her up and just tell her I was stopping by the dealership to look at a deal on a car I found on the net, she had no idea. When we walked in Nate met us at the door and took us over to her shiny new car with the giant bow on it and took the time to show her all of the features the Jetta was equipped with. Then Nate asked if she liked the car? Her response was that she loved it just at that moment Nate handed her the keys and said "Happy Birthday" my wife couldn't believe it, she was so happy. Nate took the car off the showroom floor and helped her adjust the car. It was a very memorable moment for us both thanks to Nate. This is what my wife posted on line. Two nights ago, I had prepped dinner, put it in the oven, worked out, showered and was in the process of completing dinner when my Love walked through the door (it was about 8:30pm) and asked if I could go with him real quick to take a look at something. My hair was still soaking wet from the shower but I said sure. I was thinking he was taking me to look at something boat related.I didnt have ...my purse or phone or anything with me. The next thing I know, we are pulling up to a Volkswagen dealership and Mike is telling me he found a great deal on a car and wanted me to take a look at it. We have looked at cars in the past and boats, so I didnt think anything of it. We walked in, a car salesman introduced himself and took me to take a look at this great deal. We walked through a hallway and into a small showroom. There was only one car in there. The next thing I know the salesman says to me, Happy birthday! and shook my hand. I cant describe the feeling that came over me, because I have never felt anything like that in my life. I was in shock, not just speechless but flabbergasted. There was even a great big red bow on the car; like the ones you always see on commercials. Never has anyone done anything like that for me. Thank you Michael! I love you more than words could ever describe. It took a day or two for it to sink in that I own a brand new car. My good old Honda is 12 years old with almost 200,000 miles on it. She has served me very, very well over the years. I love my new car lots and lots and lots, however!!!! As wonderful and overwhelming as the Love of my Life buying me such and incredible gift for my birthday it will never compare to the gift of the love he gives me each and every day. Forever and ever my Love..My love's heart felt words made it just an incredible experience for not just her but for both of us.The following year I was shopping new cars and fell in love with the VW CC. I went back to Antwerpen and asked for Nate he came right out he remembered us by name. Nate again took the time to show me the CC and I fell in love with the car and bought the car on the spot they had the paperwork done and the car cleaned up and ready to go in less than an hour and I was in my 2nd VW thanks to Nate and Antwerpen. Now a few months after I purchased the CC I was stranded in a parking lot not far from the dealership and my car wouldn't start. I called the dealership, it was late and service was closed. Nate drove to where I was located and figured out immediately what was wrong and got me on my way, now that's service. Now the scary day that led to purchase number 3. I was at work late in the afternoon when I received a call from my wife saying that my daughter was involved in a motor vehicle accident and it sounded pretty bad. My wife left home to run to the accident scene to make sure our daughter was OK. Fortunately she was OK and just a little shaken up but her 2003 Jetta was totaled. We got her home, and got the car towed to a lot. My next call was to Antwerpen. Hey guys it's Mr _______ the remembered me and asked what they could do. I explained the situation and they were immediately ready to help me. They had just got a trade in that was bought and serviced, by their dealership since it was new. They highly recommended the car. The asking price was a little more than my immediate budget to replace my daughters car. I told them what I could afford and the worked with me to get the car at a price I could afford. I took my wife and daughter to the dealership that evening and now my daughter is the proud owner of a 2007 VW Eos. She just loves it.Now it January 2016 exactly 4 years from my first purchase of my wife's Jetta, again her birthday. She needed new wipers for her Jetta so we stopped in the dealership to pick some up. I know my wife had always wanted the Passat so they had one on the showroom floor so we stopped to take a look. That is when I met a new salesman Ronald Arthur of course I asked for my normal salesman Nate and this is how I found out that Nate took a promotion to management, Congrats Nate. Ron wasn't pushy trying to sell us a new car he just wanted to be truly helpful. After he explained to us all the new features of the 2016 Passat I could tell my wife was falling in love with this new car. Ron took us out onto the lot and showed us all the Passats he had in stock with the options we were looking for. Unfortunately my wife wanted a specific color combination that they didn't have in stock. Ron immediately went in a grabbed manager Chris Green and had Chris check the other dealerships in the are to find exactly what my wife requested. Chris found us 2 cars that were local that were exactly what we were looking for. We went back to Ron's office filled out a little paperwork. Ron understood exactly the deal I was looking for and he didn't waste a second of our time. My wife and I left to go to her special birthday dinner. Ron and Chris Green took the paperwork they understood my offer and put the deal together. I received a call while at dinner that the deal was done and they were going to get the car to their dealership so my wife could have it on her Birthday. Unfortunately they were not able to get either car to the dealer that evening. They didn't want to let my wife down on her special day so they put a dealer tag on a new Passat and let my wife use it until her new car arrived. Unfortunately the very next day we had the blizzard of 2016 with a record snowfall in MD. I called Chris to see what to do. Chris' response was no worries keep the car and we will get yours here as soon as the dealer digs the car out. Two days later I got a call from Ron our new car was in, cleaned up and ready for delivery come in at your convenience. That evening we took delivery of our new car and it was perfect. Ron went out of his way to make sure everything was right he transferred the tags from her old Jetta to the new car as well as the EZ Pass. Ron noticed that they forgot to fill the car with gas and immediately took the car to the station to fill it for us while we were finalizing the paperwork with our old dealer, now manager, Nate. My wife drove away again with the same huge smile on her face as she did the day I surprised her with her Jetta 4 years prior. It was again a special moment thanks to the great employees of Antwerpen VW.I will say in my four years and four cars later of dealing with Antwerpen that their sales, service, and parts departments have always been TOP notch. They have been respectful and very accommodating to our needs. I rate them all a A+++ and highly recommend this dealership and will be doing business with them for years to come. This dealership and it's hard working staff has made me a customer for life.To Jack Antwerpen, owner. I would like Nate, Ron, and Chris to be recognized for their excellence in customer service and to thank you personally putting such a great team of people together at Antwerpen VW. They all do such an incredible job of putting their customers needs a priority and going above and beyond to make their experiences not only great but an experience to remember for years to come. It is the people, the employees and their dedication that don't make a purchase experience just good but great exceeding all and any of my expectations. Many thanks to all at Antwerpen Vw Mr M A-------

NO STARS! Only gave one because it's required. After shopping around I decided to check out this dealership. When one sales person couldn't handle the questions another jumped in and got really pushy, which yes is part of sales but this was unprofessional, long story short. Lots of games and they do not stand behind their promises. I had hoped that they would redeem themselves after I gave them a chance to explain why all the twisted answers and poor customer service, but no they confirmed everything negative I experienced. But I wanted to give them a chance before I did the review I PROMISED I'd do, so here it is and I hope you sleep good at night! I will be writing letters to make sure no one else goes through this in the future. And Jack YES I will provide names of everyone I've dealt with, dates and full details in my communication, because something told me to make notes.

I came to this location thinking I wanted a 2014 used Tiguan, the test drive went really well and it was a nice car. The only thing holding me back was that it was an automatic transmission, after expressing that to the salesman, Greg, he showed me some stick shift options. Thanks to Greg I got behind the wheel of a new 2016 Jetta with a manual transmission and fell in love! I was able to get a new car and stay within my budget.Greg is great to work with, he knows a lot about VW, he is awesome with communication and has a fantastic personality! I would absolutely buy from them again.

I was starting the process of shopping for a new car and was looking at the inventory on line. Tony called and asked for more specifics on what I was looking for. He found a 13 Passat TDI SE that was a manual (which is what I wanted) so I came to look at it. I ended up driving it off the lot that night. The whole process was quick and easy. Tony worked with the finance guys to try and get the payment where I wanted it. I hopefully won't be in the market for a new car again for a while but when I am I will head back here to take a look.

My husband and I popped in 30 minutes before closing to look at a car we saw on the internet. Tony helped us search for the vehicle and advised us that the vehicle was no longer for sale. He asked us if we would be interested in other cars. After we explained what our financial target was he went to work. He and the finance guy came in to talk about the offer. After a little more negotiations we agreed to all terms of the loan. Tony said previously " If I say I can get something done I'm going to do everything to make that happen" He was true to his words. He is an honest a genuinely friendly guy and I would recommend him to anyone. I also appreciate all of the guys in there, because the assisted us well past closing time and they all worked as a team to close the deal. No one seemed upset to be there a little late. I went to every VW dealer close to where I live, and every dealer told me the same thing: "Unless you're going to buy it today, you should just look at the inventory online." This being my first NEW car purchase, I wanted to be able to talk to people and really understand the process. That said, I was also looking for a very specific model & trim, which led me to Antwerpen VW.Now, through a series of events that really couldn't be helped, they ran out of the particular model I wanted right before I made the hour drive there. While I was a little bummed (I had hoped to drive a car away that day) the salesman I worked with, Greg, helped figure out where and when he could get me what I wanted. Greg drove from the Baltimore area to Philadelphia to get my car from another dealer and I couldn't be happier with it. Everyone there (Greg & Finance manager Chris) were very patient with me and explained everything so that I knew what I was signing up for.Hopefully, I won't be buying again for a while, but if I do, these guys were super helpful and didn't pressure me when I needed some time to think things over. Highly recommended.

I went to Antwerpen not really expecting to find what I was looking for. I was greeted by Justin (Gambino). I told him what I was looking for and my price range. They had exactly what I wanted and did everything under the sun to make it happen. When it came to me driving away, between Justin and Neil, I left their lot in my new 2014 VW CC! Not to mention that they close their office at 6pm; we were there until almost 8pm, but they didn't mind and still took the time to go over everything in detail. I only have smiles and positive thoughts and comments about this experience. I'd recommend Antwerpen to anyone.

Over the past four months my wife and I have been looking for a used Touareg in a specific, color, price range, and mileage. Needles to say we looked near and far during which time we visited over 5 VW dealerships in the area during our hunt. We ran across not as advertised vehicles, hidden unadvertised costs, terrible sales people, and every other issue that makes you cringe when buying/ looking for a vehicle. I'm happy to say that the search ended early this week with the help of Sam and Chris at Antwerpen. After leaving another local dealership after almost 6 hrs of going back and forth on a extremely low ball offer on my trade-in I located a prospective vehicle on Cars.com which was on the Antwerpen lot with only the stock picture available. I immediately called the dealership and spoke with Sam who accurately described the used vehicle. Sam also took pictures of the vehicle with his cellphone and sent them to me as pictures were still not up on the website. Sam and I communicated during the evening and I arrived at the dealership the next morning at which time the Touareg was cleaned and already placed in a parking spot waiting for me. Sam went over every feature of the vehicle which no other dealership did. Sam took the time to show me every moving part which also as he described prevented and future surprises if something did not work. Sam and I went on a test drive which gave me the opportunity for local and highway speeds. Upon returning to the dealership Chris the sales/ finance manager looked over my trade-in and within twenty minutes max he presented me with fair trade offer. Chris and Sam inquired about my ideal payments and warranty needs. At no point in time did I ever hear I have to go talk to my manager as customary when buying a car because he was sitting with us the entire time. Chris and Sam provided me with every payment option and warranty option without issue. We ultimately found the best rate and warranty that fit my needs. During the finalization of the deal I pointed out a couple imperfections on the vehicle that I noticed during my walk through with Sam. Sam without hesitation said he would take a look at it and have the detail shop fix it. Sam again had the vehicle cleaned and the area in question buffed out. By the time my paperwork was done with Chris who explained everything in detail Sam had the vehicle cleaned and ready to go. Sam then helped me unload my old car into the new one. Just as I thought I would be driving away Sam took the time again to go over the audio and computer system with great detail leaving no question unanswered. I left the dealership that afternoon with the feeling that I got a fair and honest deal which compared to previous experiences was rewarding. When I returned to the dealership today to drop off owed paperwork I inquired about a few VW accecories at which time the parts department provided me with the most cost effective method to purchase them. Having purchased several VWs in the past in addition to a variety of other vehicles I must admit that Sam and Chris at Antwerpen provided a good fair deal on a quality vehicle. I would recommend this dealership and the staff I encountered over the other VW dealerships I visited in the DC metro area. Thanks again Chris and Sam

I've never left a dealership, in the past, that I wasn't immediately upside down in equity! After my dealing with Antwerpen VW, I feel like they let me win for once! I got exactly what I wanted, at the price I wanted to pay, at the payment I wanted to be at, and even got exactly what I wanted for my trade. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience! The whole process was quick and painless. Special thanks to my salesman, Claudio Schmidt for his professionalism and patience with me, and also to John and Chris. I finally scored!!

He was very knowledgeable of the VW line and the ins and outs of the new Passats. He spent quality time making sure we got a great lease deal and that we knew all the functionality of the vehicle. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience buying a car at Antwerpen. Sam in sales was very knowledgable and didn't blow up my phone the next day to "check in." In the market for a new carI highly recommend Antwerpen Volkswagen and ask for the Dream Team (Karl Dungan, Jason, Clarence/Chris) and you will not be disappointed. I was in the market for a 2014 Passat and ended up with a 2015 Passat at a much better price instead. The Dream Team really took great care of me. Karl is by far the best salesman (no joke). He is very knowledgeable, attentive and will not pressure you. Please ask for him on your visit to Antwerpen.

Let me start out to say my dream car has always been a GTI, I love Volkswagen!!! This was the third time for me buying a car from Antwerpen. The sales team and sales manager made this process easy for me, and made sure I was taken care of. The salesman Chris Hunn was very educated on the product he was selling. Which was a major factor on buying another VW. What topped it all of is we couldn't get the numbers to be where I needed them to be but the sales manager Kenny Pursley stepped up and worked his magic and made the deal happen. This was the easiest sale I was ever a part of. Only improvement at Antwerpen needs to be in the service department which I've had many problems with that department. But at the end of the day I love my vehicle and am proud to drive a Volkswagen and will deal with Kenny and his sales team on the future

I've driven Volkswagens for years and since moving to Anne Arundel County, MD I've strictly done all my business with Antwerpen. Often times as a young female the car buying process can be daunting at the least. Ray and the other staff at Antwerpen made me feel right at home; most importantly to me- I never felt rushed or pushed into a car that I didn't want. In fact, I was looking for a specific model, trim, color and interior not available in their inventory; within hours they located the exact car I was looking for and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I love my new car and would advise you to check out Antwerpen Volkswagen for your next vehicle purchase.

Dear Jack Antwerpen,I will not be coming back to your dealership to buy that overpriced 2008 Kia Spectra which has been sitting on your lot for 3 months or so because it is not even worth the sales price of $7,100. It is high mileage for a 6 year old vehicle, not to mention the fact that the interior had some stains and wear on the front seats, and funny smell when you turn on the AC probably because it has been sitting all summer on this lot. I thought that I could negotiate a more fair price based on what other people are paying for this vehicle with such high mileage and the fact that the interior is not clean as one would consider in a car appraisal. My main concern is that this car was a rental when it was first purchased which does make a vehicle depreciate faster. Oh, and there was a 4 year maintenance gap on the car fax report. The car rental place didn't seem to maintain it well. I am thinking that one of the previous owners stained the interior. I tried to get a better deal, but I was told that they could not go lower on the price. That evening I call the Sales Manager, and he says that they cannot go any lower even after I tell him that even the comparable models at other dealerships in that price range had lower mileage, and I basically said that I felt that it was a high price considering everything. He basically lost my business after that point. An hour later, the GM calls me asking me about my experience. My salesman was very nice and professional which I do tell the GM. But I tell the GM that I was not a happy with the price whatsoever. I told him that I would be more opt to buy the vehicle if they threw in an extended warranty because it was high mileage and the factory warranty is now void. The GM did leave me a message the next day offering me a price of $7,900. I did not even bother calling him back because the whole negotiating deal honestly gave me a headache. Car buying should be fun and not so stressful. I am purchasing a used vehicle at another dealership with a courtesy warranty that is 3 months as opposed to your 30 day warranty. I did not have to play the price haggling game with this other dealership nor did they try to show me a car that they are desperately trying to sell. My purchase is an older car, but the mileage is very good and the car is in excellent condition. I hope that you will stand by your motto "Jack says yes to every deal" in the future. And that you treat cash paying customers with just as much respect as those who are financing a car. My salesman was very nice and professional, so I am not criticizing him at all (Mike, the new salesman). I will say that I did not like how the Sales manager thought that I was born yesterday. Just because I am a woman and I am not a mechanic, I know a shady deal when I see one. And an intelligent person does his or her research before they walk into a dealership such as True Market Value or Kelly Blue Book. I realize that a dealership has to make money, but people work hard for their money, and they do not wish to get ripped off or buy something that they really can't afford. Every customer should be treated with respect regardless of financial status or credit status. Please stop trying to rip off potential customers. I honestly thought that your dealerships were better than this.Sincerely,Poorly treated potential buyer

The only kind of car I had ever bought was my first one back when I was 16 years old. Needless to say, that was a while ago and it was a beat up clunk of metal that I bought from an individual person. So making the choice to buy a car was a huge decision for me & it was one that I didn't take lightly - after all, this would probably be the biggest commitment I've ever made in my life thus far. I was especially nervous to step foot into a dealership for fear of being taken advantage of or made to feel stupid. The moment I walked into Antwerpen I was greeted with a friendly smile & I told the nice man that I had spoken with Nathan on the phone earlier in the day. I waited just a couple minutes before Nathan greeted both me and my friend with such a laid-back and approachable demeanor. Any feelings of nervousness disappeared as he joked with us and put absolutely NO pressure on me. I knew exactly which car I wanted to look at (the beautiful Sky Blue 2012 Mazda3) so he lead me to it, and before I realized it we were in his office talking numbers. I seriously cannot express enough how thankful I am that I just so happened to talk to Nathan on the phone and that I ended up working with him. Not only was he hilarious, he was relatable on a personal level and never pushed me to do anything that was outside of my comfort range and budget. He went above and beyond to answer all the questions I had (believe me, there were A LOT!) and never seemed bothered. He was extremely knowledgeable and he is obviously talented at what he does. It's rare to find someone who is truly great at what they do & even more rare to see from their face that they enjoy it. I couldn't help but give him a big hug as I was preparing to drive out of the lot in my first "big girl" car. I'd recommend anyone I know to head to Antwerpen if they're looking for a truly amazing buying experience with no pressure, lots of laughs, and honest opinions. I'm so grateful & thank Antwerpen (especially Nathan) from the bottom of my heart for opening up a world of opportunity for me without emptying my bank account. Seriously, THANK YOU!

There service department is very rude, don't get the job done properly the first time (no matter what the job is at hand), they break parts of your car and make you pay for them "at a 20% discount" (what a joke), they take there sweet old time, no one calls you back when you are told they will, and when they don't know how to diagnose a problem they will keep replacing parts in your car that "might be the issue" until they get it to work and then make you pay for all the parts even though they were not all broken to begin with. To top it all off I have researched OEM parts and the cost of every one can be found cheaper else wear by at least 200%. The management pretends to "work with you" when it is obvious they couldn't have a care about your concerns and are just shuffling numbers to keep trying to get more of your hard earned money from your wallet. I will never own a VW ever again and I will never recommend anyone to ever go to this dealership. I'm sure there are better VW dealers out there but after the way this place has treated me time and time again, it has ruined the entire experience for me and my family.

Just bought a brand new GLI from Antwerpen VW and I couldn't be happier. First off this is a great location for a test drive beacuse you can hop on 100 right next to the dealership and really see what a car is made of. The salesman, Chris Hunn was awesome and extremely patient and knowledgable. If you've been to a dealership before you know that sometimes it feels like you're being rushed into buying something without knowing what you really want, and that never happened here. We test drove three different cars, and Chris was patient with us all along the way. What really sold me is how they handled us leaving to look at a car at another dealership. Chris stayed in contact with me, but was never pushy. When it came to the negotiating process they were very upfront, and made an awesome offer on my trade in without the usual haggling. I can tell you they beat other dealerships by a lot on my trade in. Neil and and (a different) Chris were awesome managers and worked with me on the payments I wanted. When it finally came time to do the financial paperwork Tony was also great and he made the process very easy and transparent. Overall it was a great car buying experience. Great inventory, staff, and customer service. I highly recommend Antwerpen. Oh, and the GLI is AMAZING.

After working back and forth on pricing, payments, terms, etc., it turned out that I needed a co-signer. I was able to obtain one, and got a "good news call" from Chris Zook. I was told that I was approved, and that "Neil said the payments would be WAY under $400/mth" on the Jetta Se model with sunroof and convenience packages. Since I wanted to save as much money as possible, I then asked how much I would save by going with the lower SE model. I was told by Chris that the price of my car would be "about $900" more than the lower model. I stated that if it was only that much (or less than $20/mth) I would just go with the better model.Later, while at the dealership, Neil came in the office to "explain" how "hard it was to get the financing", but that he had "gotten it done". He said that it required the dealership to pay a "bank fee to VW credit" that THEY would "eat". I told him that I appreciated it. Then I asked the same question about the models, and he said the same as Chris- "only like a $900 difference". After waiting at least an hour to get in with the finance guy, Neil "accompanied" us to make sure to tell him that "he already went over the numbers with me". I should have known something was up at that point. My co-signer and I were literally RUSHED through the paperwork. The only number that the finance guy even spoke about in detail was the monthly payment, and how it related to the products HE would profit from- GAP insurance, warranty, paint sealant, etc. Unfortunately for me I was too wrapped up in being "under $400 month" (since without the co I would have been near $600), that I didn't slow him down and actually see what they had done to me.Since the manager had set me up to not worry about the price (stating that it was only $900 more than the lower model that sold for $19,888), it wasn't until after I left the dealership and looked at the paperwork later that night (it was a Saturday) that they had charged me FULL STICKER PRICE of $23,555!! Almost $4,000 more than the "lower model"!!!I immediately emailed the salesman and told him that I had been overcharged. I even said that I was sure it was "just a mistake", trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, when I heard back from him on Monday, his response was only "You were not overcharged. Please direct all questions to the Finance Manager". WHAT??? I knew then that I had been completely screwed by the old "focus on the payment" game, lied to about what I was paying, and bought from the wrong place. After several calls and emails to salesperson, managers, GM, and even Mr. "Jack Says Yes" Antwerpen, I haven't even received so much as an ANSWERED RETURN. NOTHING! Even a "haha we got you buddy" would be better than no response at all. This place is a complete scam dealership. They have "the game" down well, and they'll use it against you in every way possible. AVOID THE ANTWERPEN DEALERSHIPS AT ALL COSTS AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!

We have an engineer friend who has had an Eos for a long time. My wife Lynn really loves the look of this convertible; I admired the engineering. We were only concerned if we would fit; she's tall and I'm broad. We purely went to your dealership to see if we fit and I wanted to further evaluate the car, although I probably had done as much research as I ever had. What happened was an excellent presentation of all the features and the offer of a very good deal by Eric Crawford - so we made the leap and bought it. We also has excellent help from the business staff.Thank you.

This was my first car buying experience and I must say I was truly blown away. From the first moment I walked onto the lot I was approached by friendly faces who introduced themselves and were happy to meet me. This was very unlike the experience I got from two other dealerships I visited beforehand.Scott pulled a great deal together to put me in the car that is right for me; exactly what I wanted, and exactly the price I wanted. He has a great team and under his leadership made me feel extremely comfortable and satisfied in the decisions I was making. Really went the extra mile at every turn - I must say this was not an easy deal. One thing that really struck me is how when my father asked where the bathroom was, he wasn't just told where it was, he was shown there. So it's not just the big things that Antwerpen hooked up, it was all the little things to.I drove off smiling and ecstatic with the windows down (despite 90 degrees), blasting music in the car I've earned and deserved as a fresh college graduate now working 60+ hour weeeks! Thank you Antwerpen! I would recommend you (and a Volkswagen) to all of my friends looking to buy a new car.

I bought a brand new 2011 Jetta w/ Nav package in May of 2011. The sales experience was so-so. Salesman was a bit pushy but that is to be expected from a dealer but the entire experience went sour shortly after purchase. At the 3000 mile courtesy check, I complained of several issues and was told by the service manager not to worry about of them because new cars 'settle'. I let it go because I knew they wouldn't do anything about my issues at the time. I waited until the 10k service and complained of issues with my HVAC system, interior fogging, crazy whistling noise from the front mirror, and a couple of fitment issues with the body (interior and exterior). Long story short, 2 months later and several interactions with VW of America's customer care line, I got the car back from Antwerpen. When I got it back, my low coolant light came on and I took the car back. I was told that since they had to pull the dash to fix the HVAC system, a bubble most likely formed in the coolant system. Throughout the 2 months in the shop, the dash was pulled 3-4 times. So, after a week of filling up my coolant system on near daily basis, it went back to the shop and it was discovered that when they pulled the dash, they created a leak but failed to test the system prior to returning it to me. Basically, the service department took an incredible amount of time to acknowledge issues with my car, took even longer to fix the issues, and then created new issues when returning my car. I eventually got the car back with issues still there with it, after a total of 2.5 months total at Antwerpen. I took the car to Fitzgerald VW in Annapolis and they fixed everything in 2 weeks, even things that Antwerpen said there were no issues with... Overall, TERRIBLE SERVICE... I purchased the car 8 months ago but was only able to have the car for ~6 but I experience problems throughout the entire time that I was dealing with Antwerpen.

I recently bought a new car at Antwerpen VW. I was actively shopping on the internet to find the best price available in the area, and they beat the best price I found. I appreciated that they didn't hold that against me, nor did they bombard me with phone calls and emails like the other dealers did. I decided to buy from Antwerpen not just because of the great price, but also because of their professionalism and positive attitude. My salesman, Sean, was helpful and very knowledgeable about the car and didn't pressure me at all. The General Sales Manager, Neil, went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with the deal. Wow!!! What a great experience!!! I dealt with John Dickerson, also known as Johnny D by his fellow employees and repeat customers. He is a VERY knowledgable salesman and is VW Certified. Though he is younger than most of the other employees he is VERY PROFESSIONAL, knows his product and come to find out has been there since he was only 18 years old. He has actually even had a 1/2 page article written about him in the Baltimore Sun for his success in selling cars! John has climbed the ranks from starting in the service department, worked in the parts department and made his way to becoming a successful salesman. He and his managers made it their priority to get me the vehicle I wanted and that it was also affordable. The vehicle, the process, the price and the attention I was given was all better than I could have ever asked for. Since my purchase I have sent friends, co-workers and my family to Antwerpen VW and all of them have bought from Johnny D and are just as satisfied as myself. If your interested in getting a quality New/Used VW or any vehicle for that matter GO NOWHERE ELSE!!! Make sure that when you go you ask for Johnny D and I can promise that you will be amazed at the entire experience!!! Thanks again John and everyone at Antwerpen VW! I went there to buy my first car and it was nothing but a good experience! Great people with great pricing that really cared about my needs and what I was looking for. The people at antwerpen Volkswagen cared about my time and made it a very enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family and I plan on going back when I decide to trade the car I bought in!

I would absolutely recommend this dealership and actually I already have to family and friends. The service is excellent and the sales people know their vehicles.I was not rushed in any way nor was a car I did not like pushed on me. The salesman to a long time with me and explained the attributes of the car inside and out. I not only got the car I love but at a great price as well. I bought a certified/used 2005 Jetta and I just love it.

My visits to Antwerpen VW has always been easy and hassle free. I've always been treated quickly and professionally. The sales team worked with me while I test drove and selected a car. What I like the most about the dealership is that my salesman helps me with questions that I might have about my car or even as simple as to set up service appointments. From top to bottom I have been pleased with Antwerpen and I am looking forward to coming back when it is time to purchase a new car.

I had such a great experience at Antwerpen. My salesman Donnie was so helpful from step one. He answered all of my questions and still he helps me set up my service appointments. Antwerpen gave me a great deal when I traded in my Mini for a Passat. I had such a great experience with everyone I came in contact with. Everyone was so friendly. I would reccomend this dealership to anyone! Thanks Antwerpen!~Gretchen S.

Salesman and management were very professional and went to extremes to complete the deal to my satisfaction. NO B.S. I plan to tell my friends and family about the great cars at Volkswagen. I am also going to encourage anyone who is interested to contact this dealership and ask for Ben. This guy knows Volkswagen inside and out. Also of not that I am 53 years old and have owned probably 20 cars in my life and this is the very first time I bought from a MFR outside the US.

These guys are a joke. Their sales department is shady and their service department is just as bad. As just one example, my car had a defective water pump that started squealing at about 45,000 miles. Even though it was a known issue that affected many VWs, Antwerpen had to keep the car "diagnosing" the problem for nearly 10 days, and I actually had to *make a recording of the squealing noise* and play it for them before the problem was fixed. I asked them to replace the timing belt at the same time, since they were already doing all the necessary labor and since the timing belt was undoubtedly strained by the defective water pump bearing. They refused, even when I offered to pay for the replacement timing belt. There are many other stories I could tell but Antwerpen VW frankly isn't worth the space. Avoid like the plague.

My family and I have bought 3 vehicles from Antwerpen. All of the service on both of my vehicles was doen by the Antwerpen Service Department. A timing belt they installed failed after 17,000. They "understood I was frustrated", but that was the extent of their help. I will not be back to their Service Department or Showroom.

We started out on the internet and found the car we wanted and the price we wanted to pay. Dealer didn't have color we wanted in stock, but was willing to honor the price. Wanted the color we wanted...hey, we have to like it from now until we get rid of the car...they'll never think about it again once we leave the dealership. To seal the deal the sales manager said he would 'throw in' a set of door guards. Guess the service dept never got that 'memo' b/c when we showed up for our first service & asked for that to be done, too, they practically called me a liar. Had to walk into the showroom and find the guy that had promised it. Made us feel guilty for the sales guy "having" to go to NJ (on his day off) to pick up what we wanted from another dealer. Excuse me? WE didn't MAKE him do anything. During the HOURS long paperwork phase of the sale (we were paying cash, BTW) tried to sell us every flippin' piece of crap extra under the sun...and REALLY tried not to take no for an answer. We did buy a small extended warranty and service plan that they totally lied to our faces about what it covers. Basically it's prepaying for oil changes & tire rotations for a couple of years...FOR $801??!!?? I specifically asked if it COMPLETELY COVERED major services during that time (30K, 45K) and they said YES. Well it doesn't and now we're stuck. TOTALLY SLIM SHADY AND DISHONEST as far as we're concerned. Since the purchase there are one or two (maybe really only one) service guys that we deal with. The rest are awful. Plus the waiting room is filthy and there is nowhere for kids to play. NEVER AGAIN! will we buy ANYTHING from this dealer and you shouldn't either. SAVE YOURSELVES!! RUN AWAY!! FAR AWAY!!

I ask for a specific equipment. The car was deliver without it and the dealer refuse to install it for free even if I specificly ask for it before buying the car. The sale person denied everything. They will sell you a car not the car you want. When they have the money, and they don't care about you.

About 2 1/2 weeks ago I took my car to the dealer to have a cracked coolant hose replaced and at that time I was getting roughly 29-30 mpg. So they replaced the hose and a couple of days later I got gas, and since that day I have noticed I have been getting way worse gas mileage. Then last Sunday my CEL came on and it ended up being a cooling system code (P2181). So I took it to the dealership and they stated that it was my engine coolant temp sensor. I had that replaced also. Now when I drive I don't even get close to the gas mileage I was having before. I used to go around 330 miles on a full tank of gas, now i'm filling up around 290. What could be the cause of all of this? I just don't get how my car could have a cracked coolant hose and be low on coolant getting g-r-e-a-t gas mileage, then fixing the problem and thigs go south. What is your insight to this situation. I am now out $600 from the repairs.

I purchased a used VW from Antwerpen prior to my move to Hawaii. They sold me a $900 anti-theft product that doesn't work here. Prior to purchase, I specifically asked if it worked in Hawaii, and they replied "absolutely". I even tried to cancel the product, prior to installation, but they said I couldn't- too late. A month after I arrived in Hawaii, I found out that the product is completely useless to me. I spoke with the General Manager, Mr. Morris, who told me that he "understood" my frustration, but there was nothing he could do. After 10 minutes of telling Mr. Morris what I feel that they could do for me to remedy the problem and getting shot down, I realized my efforts were useless. I'm working on getting this situation resolved in other ways.I can't believe these crooks can't even own up to their own employee's mistakes!!! What ever happened to "customer satisfaction"?

Three times in as many months I brought my Passat into Antwerpen (where I purchased it) in an attempt to diagnose and repair a misfire that was so bad it rendered the car undriveable. Granted, the car was not actively misfiring when I brought it in (seemed to only happen at start up during wet/cold weather), but each time I was treated with what could only be described as complete and utter contempt and disbelief. The first two times in the shop, the #2 plug and wire set were cleaned and tightened (first visit) and then replaced (second visit). These first two visits were within days of each other. The third time in, I was basically told (paraphrasing here): "Hey, we can't figure out what it is, and since it could be any one of dozens of things causing the misfire, you're on your own." I asked the service rep if it seemed reasonable that I paid 30K for a car that, although still well within the warranty limits, is virtually undriveable in inclement weather. His response: "We can't fix it if we can't figure out what's wrong with it." UNACCEPTABLE. The customer should not be left holding the bag in situations like this. To top it all off, Antwerpen was apparently incapable of returning my car to me without grease and oil stains all over the seats, carpets/mats, and anything else a person's hands might touch while working on a car. Antwerpen lost both my and my wife's (2002 Golf) business--not that they care--and we are both, or rather were, VW fans who spent a lot of money on Driver Gear and routine maintenance. We now take both cars to another VW dealer out of town.

10/25/2005 - Order placed after internet inquiry with Donna Shoemaker (internet sales rep). Was informed that it could take up to five months for the vehicle to be ready for delivery.Checked in every month and didn't know anything until after the new year.2/13/2006 - Donna called and informed me that the vehicle had arrived and stated "luckily it is exactly what you ordered". Advised that I needed Antwerpen to fax the buyer's order for the vehicle to my credit union so that I could get a check cut and take delivery of the vehicle. Was advised that Trish Thomson would be faxing the information over and it was "at the top of her list". Checked in with my rep at the credit union just before they closed for the day to see if the documentation had been faxed and it had not.2/14/2006 - Spoke with Donna and she asked me to give Trish Thomson a call to find out if it had been faxed. Called and asked for Trish and was transferred to a voicemail for someone else. Later I foudn out that it was really Trish's voicemail, but she hadn't changed her greeting. Waited for almost two hours and did not receive a response to my voicemail. I called back and explained my situation to the receptionist and was advised that Trish Thomson had her phone on "do not disturb" and that her phone had been that way all day. She then went to Trish's office and got her on the phone for me. Trish said that an employee had fell on the parking lot and she had to take him to the hospital. Unfortunate situation, but business must go on. She said that she had already faxed it over. Called credit union, they checked their fax log, nothing received. Finally, Antwerpen agreed that the bank check would be sent to them via FedEx once the credit union received the paperwork a nd I could take delivery of the vehicle in good faith. I came to pickup the vehicle, and Donna greeted me and handed me off to John Hucks (salesman) to complete the transaction. He went over the paperwork, and offered to show me the features of the vehicle, but I declined. When I inspected the vehicle, I noticed that it had less than 1/4 of a tank of fuel and I mentioned this to him. John Hucks stated that "well, with a Diesel, that will get you pretty far". I also mentioned this when I met with the finace guy to sign paperwork and he claimed he didn't handle that. I had to drive off low on Fuel.Summary of problems I had with antwerpen:1) Miscommunication and excuses. After waiting for such a long time, I don't want delivery of my vehicle delayed even further by incompetance and miscommunication (e.g. the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing). Don't make excuses, just do your darn job.2) I have purchased 5 new vehicles in recent years, and this is the first time I was forced to drive off with anything less than a full tank of fuel. While the Diesel does get good fuel economy, that is no excuse for not properly filling the tank for a valued customer.3) I asked that no dealer advertisements be installed on my vehicle when I took delivery and found that they had installed Antwerpen tags on the front and rear of the vehicle. I later removed them and threw them in the garbage.During the time that I worked with this dealership on this transaction, I got the impression that they are very disorganized, have a high rate of employee turnover, weren't very experienced with ordering vehicles, and can't get anything done in a timely manner.Based on my experience, I would not do business with this dealership again. Also, I will not be taking my vehicle to their service department.

I'll start by saying the sales experience was above average, the salesmen was very nice. The problems started immediately after we signed the documents. There was a serious deep scratch on the car when we bought it, the dealer gave us a "We owe You Repair". Took the car in to get fixed and picked it up at night. The next day noticed it wasn't fix, some kind of filler was inserted - it was by no means repaired. Tried to bring the car back in and they wouldn't take it. The sales guy no longer worked there, so the man I dealt with from service didn't believe me and said there was no record of this reapir. Anyways, I eventually got them to take a look at it - they improved it, but again it wasn't in new car condition, which is what I paid for it. At this point I gave up and accepted it was never going to be fully repaired.
Part II. I called to bring the car in for the 20,000 miles service (they don't provide loaner cars for routine service). They told me the service would be about $365, seemed quite high so I called a different VW dealer, $250. There wasn't any advantage to get the service done where the car was purchased so I'm taking my business elsewhere for less money.
I do not recommend buying a car here, or having service performed here - for service they charge you much more then other VW dealers.
