I was in the market for a vehicle and read good thongs online about Bedrock Motors. Stopped in and was helped by Kip. All I can say it was the best buying experience I have ever had. I bought a beautiful BMW and they secured great finance terms for me. I was so pleased I brought my partner in a year later to get another car. BRAVO!! I would highly recommend the Blaine to store to anyone

This is our third Dodge/Chrysler minivan (over a 23 year span) and this one will always be my favorite. It's a shame they don't make 'em like this anymore. The seats are super comfortable. The Stow & Go seating is amazing. The sound system is high quality and better than some of the newer vehicles. We've moved our oldest kids in and out of college hauling everything in the minivan (without ever having to rent a uhaul). We've traveled ( 5 people) all across the country comfortably with plenty of room for luggage, water skis - you name it. We've hauled washers & dryers, furniture, etc. One of the few issues we've had is with the automatic doors - we've had to have them repaired twice when the lock buttons were stuck (had the actuators were replaced). Other than the replacing the actuators, the maintenance & repairs costs were lower than average. It will be sad day when it's time to part with my van.

I bought my caravan 4 years ago with 116k miles , only replaced a strut , an alternator brakes and tires. Still runs like new , cold a/c and seems It will pass the 300k mile mark easy. I am the second owner , parts are cheap , I work at LKQ , a low mile engine cost about $650 a tranny $350.00 , I seen other ford , Nissan , Toyota and chevy minivans give up with a lot less miles than mine, The vast majority of caravans that we have in our yards are because they are totaled in a major wreck. The other brands land here because they break down and parts are very expensive.

It is not terrible, but not good.

This van is really not that terrible. It does have it's faults. I am going to list the issues we currently have as of 120k miles: 2 broken locks, door trim has fallen off, terrible squeaking noise, A/C broke 3 times, heating won't work, cup holder has fallen off the seat, rear windshield wiper won't work, and the van "screams" when it goes through puddles. The suspension is way too bouncy and harsh for my liking. When you go over a bump, it feels like a roller coaster. The van has slowly died over it's time and is starting to fall apart. We are planning on getting a Nissan Rogue, Jeep Patriot, Ford Escape, etc for the next car. The workmanship of this vehicle is not really that great. It truly isn't a terrible van, it just has a few significant faults.

The 2006 Grand Caravan was my third Grand Caravan, so I can't say that there is no appeal to the vehicle. When Grand Caravans are in their first couple of years of service they are a joy. They are relatively inexpensive when compared to a Honda Odyssey. The seats fold flat to provide an unparalleled cargo area. This baby hauls sheets of plywood or drywall with the tailgate closed. It lugs around a large family too. Chrysler's design is just not up to the challenge of doing these chores over and over year in and year out. Chrysler designed the vehicle to warn drivers when the sliding doors open by activating the flashers and to protect parents from forgetful children who file out and leave the door open with the cabin light on. The power to all lights and accessories turns off after 15 minutes, protecting the battery from discharge (best family feature ever). As others have reported, the Grand Caravan has a poor power steering design. In cold weather in particular it is prone to clogging and starving the power steering pump. Mine failed at 30,000 miles. The whining pump noise returned at 100,000 miles whenever the temperature outside was in the single digits. The air bag system failed at 11,000 miles and again at 50,000. The passenger sliding door developed a rattle at about the 60,000 mile mark and the door lock solenoid failed. Grand Caravans develop lots of rattles as they age and the suspension needs rebuilding. There were a steady stream of failures that ended when the coolant leaked out just months after replacing the radiator, water pump and hoses causing the engine to overheat and throw a rod. After less than nine years and 129,000 miles the vehicle had to be recycled. The cost of ownership worked out to $290.00 per month to own the Grand Caravan when I reviewed my repair expenses. This vehicle is likely to nickel, dime and thousand dollar you to death.

My friends warned me about Chrysler products, but I ignored them. BOY, I was wrong, at 30,000 miles steering was vibrating intensely when cold accompanied by a loud whine. The dealer and Dodge online said tough luck, you bought a lemon and this is the power steering reservoir clogged, a cheap fix. Before considering buying a Chrysler product, you have to ask yourself what kind of car manufacturer screws up power steering. One that ENGINEERS their products to FAIL. I never owned a vehicle with a power steering problem except for the 2 Caravans I bought. I not own this one when the trans fails, and it will, like the other Caravan I owned. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT.

We've purchased this van brand new in 2006. It has over 117,000 miles in it! Other than the interior cosmetic issues such as flimsy cup holders and shortage on the automatic windows and lights in the front- in terms of its reliability, it's great as it has never left us stranded anywhere we've been! My kids grew up riding in it and we have all loved it! No transmission or engine issues so far! We're hoping to another 100,000 miles in it!

Bought this van new in 2005, has been a great hauler for grandkids and big stuff. In 80000 miles, it went thru 3 sets of front brakes and 2 sets of rear brakes, the original tires lasted 28000 miles. Cooer GS4 have lasted 52000 mi. in the last year the sliding doors have decided to rust on the bottom and the rear fender wells have also started. The 3.8 motor has used a quart of oil every 1500 miles since 47000 mi. replaced the turn signal switch 2 times. Final thing the driver side spring broke the other day, never had a car do that. very dangerous. with the rust not sure it's worth repairing. Worst of 4 vans. As of 12/15/2016 Still driving a Toyota, wouldn't have another Chrysler , if they gave it to me. Will have another Toyota some day when this one wears out.

Nothing but non-stop issues design flaws, poor quality and mfg'd parts, and multitude of issues. Interesting, when you talk to all the auto shops - which plz take the time to do, they tell you they see this EVERY day with Dodges. After 55k miles, transmission completely went out - which was a $3k repair, dealership would have been $5k. With less than 85k miles still - have already replaced the front left CV joint, replaced alternator, front passenger window regulator, passenger sliding door lock actuator, rear hatch lift gate assembly motor/arm and also shocks, oil pan seal, and more. Bottom line, Dodge vans are total POS and will never buy one again.

Bought used with 36,000 miles. It now has 44,000 . Both auto doors went out about a week apart. Lift gate will not stay open. Power driver seat stopped working. Breaks are way under sized for the weight of the vehicle and need to be replaced. I get a slight shutter and wine when turning. It was hard to start in the cold weather. I do like the stow n go seats but they are a but of a chore to stow them. The value for it has dropped so much that I cant even trade it in. No one wants it including me!

Bought used in 2009 and started to rust badly around the wheel wells about a year later. It was still under warranty, so they repaired it, but it came back in the same place. They repaired it again and it came back yet again in the exact spot they "repaired." It is now out of warranty and the dealership won't return our calls. We contacted Chrysler and for the past 2 weeks, they have been "looking into it." The only other issue we have is that driver side passenger door sticks/jams upon opening. Overall, it seems to be mechanically solid. However, the rust issue is serious enough that we are looking at getting rid of it. And we will NEVER purchase a Chrysler product again.

I just traded in my van with 88K miles for a 2012 Honda CRV. This was my 3rd Dodge van and Dodge should be embarrassed by the quality. I will no longer purchase a Chrysler product. Issues: Head gasket, Water pump, Steering rack (I was told I now need anther one) Valve covers needed new seals, Tie rods on both sides, Power side doors - one does not work and the other needs replacement motor, Air Conditioning - Dodge paid for part of the repair because issue was the design with mis-matched metals that causes leaks, Van is rusting and dealer repaired under warranty but not all rust issues, ignition harness, starter - I have no more space but more issues!!

I bought my Grand Caravan brand new in 06. I now have 108,000 on it. I have just replaced the radiator and a water pump about 10,000 miles ago. We had to change a sensor out at about 90,000 miles. Other than those things this van has been great. Stow and go seating is awesome. I have never been stranded in this vehicle. You will always have to replace some parts here and there but I know this caravan has many more miles to go.

Okay so the whine when I'm driving is what drives me the most crazy and it never seems to stop. The fact that every dodge caravan I've owned after about 80,000 miles the air conditioning stops working. The elec doors where to start, first one of the locks won't work with the key so you have to lock manually, then the other door the button on the inside won't open or close so if you remember which side works which way you're lucky. This is the second Dodge caravan and I won't purchase another. I'd rather a Honda or Toyota van, they have better reports from owners.

I purchased the vehicle used with 9000 miles. As soon as the warranty ran out we had a power steering fluid leak. An after warranty recall was done on the rear evaporator of the AC system and that unit was replaced. The dealer returned the vehicle last spring stating the system to be working. Summer came and the unit would not blow cold air. Now the front receiver dryer needs replacement to the tune of $489.54. If the rear evaporator was flawed then it is safe to say Dodge equipped this vehicle with an inferior quality AC system.

Had this van since 35k miles, now has 89k miles. It has been a very reliable van for our family. middle and 3rd row seats aren't as comfortable as i would like (I think it's b/c they have to fold flat into the floor). Love that they fold flat, makes it a very multipurpose vehicle (can hold lots of "stuff" or people or both). Brakes were replaced but they still squeak, more of a brake manuf. issue than a Dodge issue. Had a Chevrolet Uplander before this van and the Uplander was ALWAYS in the shop for something. Have been really pleased with the Dodge Grand Caravan's reliability; plan to keep it for a long time.

After only 65,000 km (40,000 mi) it uses 2 liters of oil between changes! Chrysler service mgr. told me I was checking it wrong! Then said that if it were using that much oil, you wouldn't be able to see behind the car for smoke! Then he said it is common for a car to use a liter every 1000 km! All this in a 5 minute conversation! The head light module has been replaced, as have most of the front end components. Seats are uncomfortable and suspension is mushy! Have already done first brake job! Guess I shouldn't compare it to my 1996 with 323,000 km (200,000 miles)! Thank god I didn't trade it! At least I have 1 good car! Also the /06 only gives 19 to 20 mpg as compared to the /96 at 28 mpg.

After 60K miles, we're not either happy or unhappy with the van. We've liked the room, the stow'n'go, and have had no major maintenance problems (engine/transmission/steering etc). However, we have had issues with things like both power sliding doors (38K miles), a/c not working properly(52K miles), radio/cd/tape not working (40K miles), and recently the rear liftgate latch appears to be hanging. We've been disappointed with the fuel economy, averaging about 19 mpg overall (mostly highway), and high quoted repair costs, and very low quoted trade- in values ($8-9K after 3 years on a $23K van). Overall, a very mixed bag. Unlikely to repeat the purchase.

My wife still loves this van. The kids are grown but she wants to keep this van as long as we can. She puts all her props for plays and garage sales finds in the van. With the seats down it is amazing what you can transport. We get about 19 miles to the gallon around town. It has comfortable seating even on a long drive. Knock on wood, but no mechanical problems to date.

Bought our van new in late '05. Was perfect the whole time it was under warranty. As soon as we ticked past 36K everything went to heck and FAST! EGR valve, water pump, power sliding door motors, transmission is slipping, burns up tires and brakes, and the icing on the cake is that last year it starting burning a quart of oil every 1000 miles! Now a year later, it has used to a quart every 500 miles! What a joke! We are trading it off in a few weeks and will never buy another Chrysler/Dodge product again! I am so disappointed in this van. We had planned on keeping for a long long time and now are forced to go look for another vehicle. The re-sale value is crap as well.

The best vehicle we have ever owned. Our third minivan. No problems. Stowaway seats are great unless you need to drive on rock strewn terrible roads. It has lower clearance due to the stow away seats. I would buy one again, but will try to wait for a hybrid, preferably with a gasoline generator to charge it if needed. I would consider other brands, but prefer to buy American. Do not know of any other good American options, aside from the more expensive Chrysler Town Car. That may be all that is available next year though. The SXT is fancy enough for us. Anything else we need can be added on separately. We will drive this until it dies and then look for a hybrid minivan that is cost efficient

I started out leasing this van because of what I heard about Chryslers' reliability and (at the time) corporate stability. That was 40 months ago. My lease ran out last month, and I bought the van. Why? I haven't had any significant trouble with the van in 30k miles. It's overkill for a 1 person commute but it is excellent for carpooling and family vacations. When we travel (fam of 4) we put down 1/2 rear seat for the cooler. My son brings his playstation and plays it through overhead video & wireless headphones. Tip: the middle seats are much more comfortable if you put up the headrests. Noticed slight mpg bump with K&N filter. Though lower horsepower than competitors, it's plenty.

With 2 little ones, I like the convenience of the van for getting them in and out of their car seats. We were in a BAD accident on the highway and were safe because we were in it. BUT once the warranty expired on it, stupid little things started to go- The wipers got tripped up on each other during a bad storm (mechanic says this is common), EGR valve went, Trip computer blips out intermittently. Feel like i am waiting for something big to go...not sure what van we buy next. ,

My wife felt she needed a van to haul the kids in, she now can not wait to get rid of the thing. It has to have tires replaced too often, brakes are poor design and undersized, causing often replacement. Both power slide doors had to have motors replaced under warranty, passenger side motor has failed again and I am not paying to replace. The transmission shifts vary hard. Front suspension joints had to be replaced at 45,000 miles. ABS control module fried at 47,000 miles. The heat is always on unless you turn the fans off, good thing it is winter now. Fuel economy is less than impressive, and if anyone is wondering, neither one of us drive fast or push the vehicle hard.

Our first Grand Caravan is a 1999 with 174k miles. Regular maintenance and a few minor issues through the years. But the 2006 model has been a major disappointment. The space and ride are good but we have been told the rack and pinion are shot as well as the power steering pump at 65000 miles. The water pump replaced at 40k and the passenger side sliding door lock broke at 20k. The leather seats are now starting to wear through. Can't wait to get rid of it.

My Grand Caravan met an ungrand ending a few days ago (we were hit) and I'm already searching the net for it's twinkie. It was by far the best, most reliable "car" I've driven. My only complaint would be that a sensor went out around 50,000 that would not allow one of the side doors to close with the click of the auto key. It was $350 to fix, so we made due and got used to it. I also had a problem with the turn signal that would not work, it was covered under warranty. We have five children and really liked the stowing capacity. It was also very comfortable for long trips. (I say that as a driver. 3rd seats not as comfy - but that is true with most vans.)

Year 2 the air conditioner stopped working and air bag light came on and has perpetually been on since (no one cn figure out what's wrong with it)and year 3 it's been in the shop 3 times; brakes replaced, broken water pump and bad EGR valve. I bought my van used from the dealership with 18,000 miles on it, and I now have over 65,000. I have honestly never had a day's trouble with this vehicle. I change the oil, and have recently bought new tires- this has been the extent of the servicing done to my van. I commute every day 80 miles roundtrip, and when I set the cruise control on 60 I get around 26 mpg. I live on rural roads that aren't always cleared in the snow, and the traction control has come in handy. This vehicle has been a real bargain for me: reliability, luxury options that would have broke me on another van, and the feeling of safety when I'm out there on the road with all of the other large vehicles.

Replaced our previous 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan with the 2006 model and have had several problems. Sun Roof had issues after using 3 times, rear sliding door broke at 24K miles, tires are already bald with only 40K miles, rack and pinion went at 36K and now the air conditioning just starting blowing warm air. Don't think I would buy another one. I hardly had any issues at all with my 1996 Caravan and that had over 100K miles on it. Very Disappointed with the quality. Unfortunately this is the first vehicle that I bought and did not buy an extended warranty. It figures.

Dodge makes the best van for someone who wants reliable affordable transportation. This van has a great ride solid build and will not require a second loan if something does go wrong like the Honda would. My neighbor has one with 195K on it and plans to put 100 more. I have 36K and plan on 200K myself.

Sorry I got this van

I decided to trade my old van for the 2006 because of the stow n go seats. I am leasing the van with all intentions of keeping the van when the lease is up. I should have kept my old vehicle. I had complained twice about the odor I get when I turn on the defrost or a/c and I have been told there is nothing wrong. I had to have the back a/c unit replaced because of leaking, the part was on back order and had to wait 2 months which was during the hottest time of the season. The motor on the passenger side window had to be replaced, the window would not go up during a rain. Now the left passenger side door will not slide open when I press the button, I have to manually open the door.

Got it as from a dealer who bought it at a fleet auction. Former rental. Changed oil, and that's it. Had it for about 10,000 miles now with no problems whatsoever. The Stow 'N Go space versatility is tremendous, with nothing really comparable in the market. ALL THE SEATS FOLD FLAT INTO THE FLOOR. I had a 1995 Caravan and I almost killed myself moving those seats in and out for when I needed to carry stuff. I swore I'd never buy another minivan until all the seats folded into the floor. Abacadabra!

This is my second Dodge Caravan. First was a 1995 Dodge Caravan (SWB - 3.3L V6). I love the Stow 'n Go, which allows the both the 2nd and 3rd row seats to go into the floor, virtually creating a cargo van in 4 minutes. Great for my side business to carry a bunch of equipment. Also great to haul my friends for trips - whether they're short or long. The Stow 'n Go puts the vehicle in a class by itself. Yeah, stuff falls off, but it's the standard Dodge build quality - not great, but for the most most, it's nothing that prevents the engine from running. BTW, as others have noted, I've been a bit disappointed by the gas mileage (18 mpg mixed, 23 highway)

I bought this vehicle new. What a mistake. After 20k it burns over 1qt of oil every 1000 miles, which Dodge says is NORMAL. The sunroof won't close if you're going faster than 20 mph. Again Dodge says this is normal and that you should have to pull over and stop to close your sunroof. It's a piece of junk. Dodge has turned me into a Honda/Toyota lover.

We purchased this van for vacation & winded up loving it. I drive 2000+ miles a month with my job now and really enjoy the van. Have all the comfort features like leather, dvd, power everything as well. We come from sports cars but like luxury and this van has it all for us. Not the sports car feel but still has power to merge into traffic and get a jump at the stop light if need be w/out any problems. I would buy again & yes, Dodge treats us well. We've owned 21 vehicles in 12 years and we've had this 1 the longest. Kids really enjoy it as well as they have lots of room. No real problems other then rack & pinion went out. Dealer took car of it. Best mpg 29.8 worst 18, Mobile 1 syn. oil helps.

I've had my van now for two years and have LOVED every minute of it. It great on trips, roomy, comfortable, easy to handle. I am now, after almost 2 years to the date, running into small problems. Air conditioning blows hot air, water pump is leaking and window motor needs to be replaced. It's all under warranty. So far, it's been great. It will be interesting to see what happens after the warranty. I hope it holds up.

We traded in our 2002 Grand Caravan for the 2006 Grand Caravan. We were very pleased with the '02 but this van with its Stow n Go seating is far superior. The seats work easily. If you do not have Stow n Go you will be amazed how frequently you use them. We use them every day. easy to use and can fold all seats within a minute. Have not had any major problems with the van at all. The van has made three trips to Florida and South Carolina (from NJ) and it is very comfortable. The storage wells for the middle row seats make a great storage area for snacks and things. There really is a lot of room in this van. Rides like a Cadillac on the highway. Easy to drive with great visibility.

I bought this van brand new. We purchased an extended warranty also. I have had continuous problems starting at about 18,000 with stalling. I had to take it in over 6 times only to be told nothing is registering on the computer. After the 6th time, the fuel pump was replaced. Now, again, we are having stalling problems only to be told nothing is registering and it can't be duplicated. Gas mileage horrible. It also: has problems with front brakes, grinding sound turning and reverse, a loud noise on hard right turns. And, nothing is wrong with any of these items according to the dealerships. Huge safety hazard

Bought the van in early of 2006 and know wile I am writing this my family and I have put a little over 40,000 miles on the van. It has been great it has not given us a lick of trouble since day one. The thing gets on average 23 to 24 mpg and close to 26 if we do nothing but highway. I guess the K&N air filter helps with that and i would recommend that air filter to anybody who has this van as it does, not only help out fuel mileage, but also gives the 3.8 a tad but more power. My family and I are very happy with this van, the room in this thing is great and the way gas is going up we won't get rid of this thing anytime soon.

Back in July of 2006, we bought a Dodge Grand Caravan, dumb move, it was terrible, we hated it! The ride was rough, seats were uncomfortable, visibility was awful, and we only got an average of about 13 mpg! Not good enough with these soaring gas prices. So after 13 months, we traded it in for a Kia Rondo, much much better.

Good vision from front seats. Easy to maintain, through out. Handling is fun and easy to manouver. Front wheels tend to slip easy on wet pavement, especially on move out from stop. I put special traction tires on front that helps sliping a lot. 3rd row seats are uncomfortable for long rides, tilt back excessive. Smooth shifting. storage space is good.

This car has been one of the worst minivans that we have purchased. Within the first year we have already put more than $1000 of work into it. The interior is very poorly designed. I was so impressed with the overall performance and comfort of the vehicle. It is superior to any other similar van I have owned or driven in. It has been such a pleasure to drive, has excellent visibility and great acceleration on the freeway. Best of all is the stow and go feature, it has been a real asset. The vehicle is nicely fitted with amenities that you get wonderful luxury and don't have to rob a bank. I looked at other vans including Toyota and Honda, and this van is in their class no doubt about it. The audio system controls in the steering column was a very nice feature to add as well.

Took it on a 1500 mile road trip and the mileage was around 23, and that is fully loaded with luggage and 6 people on board. The passenger side door failed and got a new motor. The DVD system failed and dealer replaced the complete head unit. The van is great and will buy another one. Looked at the Toyota/Honda both and the Dodge came out on top, and it is American! Power is very smooth and linear. The sunroof had a small issue and needed new motor. Seems like a lot of issues in a short time, but again a well worhty Mini-Van!

The 1300 mile drive to Georgia and back was a plesant driving experience. We found out first hand about its handling capability as far as manuvering around road debris. We had to swerve around large chunks of tires a couple of times and didn't feel the least bit uncomfortable as far as feeling like we might roll over or lose control. Excellent in my book. We plan on several trips to Georgia and back, and look forward to doing it in this vehicle.

While returning to our home from an out-of-town gathering we stopped about 50 miles from home for refreshments. When we got back in the car the headlights failed to work. Using the flashers only we managed to find a motel for the night. The next day we returned home to find a dealer that did absolutely nothing to help us out. My husband has worked for General motors for 31 years, and felt very guilty even looking at a Dodge! (At least it is American made). But this mini van had everything we were looking for that we couldn't find in a GM van. We love the stow and go seating, that was the main selling point, along with the auto sliding doors and tail gate and the three zone climate control. This all comes in handy with our two large labs. The van is much quieter than our previous Chevy and the ride is very smooth.

Joy to own. A very comfortable ride, and a very versatile vehicle with Stow N Go seating. 24 MPG on trips and about 20 MPG. Captain chairs in the middle were new for us but definitely an asset. With the larger V6 we have no trouble going up most hills in overdrive. With rear air the vehicle stays cool. While we don't use the power doors and liftgate all the time but they are a great option. Even with the seats up there is a great deal of room for cargo either behind the back bench seat or in the floor area in front of the middle seat. Have had the vehicle for 8 months without any problems.

This is the family's first van and Dodge vehicle. We love the ride especially the comfort on our road trips with two kids and dog. We plan to have another child so we don't have to worry about room because there is plenty. We are certainly impressed w/ the quality of this vehicle. The gas mileage is much better than our Explorer, which we traded for this car. We looked at other brands and felt we were getting more for our money with Dodge. What made it even more attractive was the fact that it uses regular fuel and not premium like some of the other brands. We might the right choice with this pruchase.

This is our second Dodge van, the first one a 2003 we tried to save money on and bought the Caravan SXT with no features. Never had any trouble with this van at all and really liked it. Until all the incentives came out and we upgraded for less money to the Grand Caravan. If you have kids, upgrade. You won't be sorry. Convenient hooks for grocery bags all over the place. 3 zone control. I never wanted a minivan, now I wouldn't be without it, kids or no kids. For the money, I don't think you will find a better deal. Started buying Dodge products 4 years ago and I have yet to schedule a service call. The van has a much improved and quieter ride over our 2000 Chrysler Gr VoyagerSE model. 3.8 V6 is very smooth and gets better gas mileage than the 3.3 V6. We looked at several Dodge/Chrysler vans before settling for this one. Build quality in terms of fit and finish seemed suspect with some of the vans. This one however had none of those negative traits. Great van at a great price Sure resale value isn't there, but I don't trade that often, so resale value isn't an issue for me. I would buy again.

I traded in my '04 Durango :( because it was killing me in gas 14mpg. I would have really loved to have gotten a Caliber, but I have one child, two large dogs, and hope to have another child in the near future so this is really the smallest thing I could get. I'm really surprised at how much I really like this thing. Its easy to load and unload everyone. And when traveling my hubby drives 9 outta 10 times so if I need to get in the back I can climb right back without having to pull over. Lots of praise on this van so far. I hope it stays that way.

We Love our new Grand Caravan. With the stow and go seats, DVD player, the power sliding doors and tailgate, the big 3.8 liter engine, alloy wheels, and so many other features, what is not to like? Lower cost than anything foreign, and the foreign vans are not as well rated by the people who own them. The so called "Experts" apparently don't know their rumps from a hole in the ground. Maintenance is cheap, $22 for a 3,000 mi checkup. My old Caravan was "retired" with 206,000 miles. Never did anything to it but change oil, filters, brake pads, tires, the usual stuff. Same exhaust system when retired, never was replaced. Note to Chrysler, Keep em coming, don't change a thing!!!!!

After years of SUV ownership due to large family size, I went to trade into a new SUV with all the huge rebates and literally stumbled upon this minivan. The color (Inferno Red) caught our attention, and as the dealership was out of not only 2005 SUvs, but 2005 everythings went for a test drive. Still got an excellent price and was able to trade out of TWO cars I was "upside down" thanks to late night, weekend shopping and a hungry salesman. I cannot believe I have never owned a Chrysler product before! The fit and finish is excellent. My neighbor just laid out almost $40K for an Odyssey with no power liftgate, stow and go seats, and only leather and a DVD more than my van. I paid $22K.

After all the Honda Odyssey hype, I decided to stick with Chrysler/Dodge when it came time to replace the old minivan (replaces an early 90s Grand Voyager). $3500 in incentives and my company's fleet pricing on Chrysler products outweigh the reported reliability advantage of the Honda. I guess I can pay now or pay later. I opted for later. Grand Caravan SXT is very roomy and has a more functional interior that my old minivan or the Odyssey IMHO. The kids love it.

This is my third Dodge GC ('93, '00, '06). Each one has improved over the last. Stow away seating is great, as are electric doors. The rear seats however had to be sized down to be able to store effectively. The cushion in the front seat lacks substance and the edge folds in occasionally as one enters the vehicle. Power is good, fuel economy was as expected-20mpg on average. Added sound absorption adds to the quiet ride ove the '00. The overall ride has improved. The instrumentation is clear. The 4-way flashers are activated whenever the side doors are opened as a safety feature.

Never thought I'd see the day, me, owning a Minivan of all things! Actually enjoying it - the space, nice ride, and mpg. Dealer has been great. I just need more horse power (used to V8!) but then I'd be complaining about mpg right?

Excellent Car

Ride is very good, handling looks interior, leg rooms better then any other mini van on the market. Stow and go seat are very good feature

LOVE IT!

My first Minivan, after a gas guzzling SUV! Love the space, the ride, the stow and go seats. First trip got 25 mpg with 2 adults, 4 kids and 1 dog onboard. Dealer was fantastic - pleasure to work with, no pressure, wanted our business. With rebates and incentives, you can't beat the Caravan.

Excellent overlooked choice

Just switched from a 2005 Sienna to 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. The Caravan has much more torque making it more responsive in normal driving, brakes are far better, excellent handling. Feels like a relatively nimble mid size sedan. Surprising to look behind and see how large the interior is. Lots of open space in the cabin is great for holding stuff and allowing easy movement within the cabin. Build quality appears to be excellent. Much better choice than a Sienna. Sienna is all hype. Gas mileage on the Caravan although rated 18/25 has been better than the Sienna rated 19/26.

Our third Dodge Minivan. This continues to be the best designed minivan in the marketplace. Dramatic pricing discounts help ease the low- resale pain. Reliability has not been an issue for us. We enjoy the convenience front to back that this well-designed vehicle offers. Ride is quite nice, quieter than past models. Extra storage throughout is a plus.
