This is my first car and I have had it for 2 years plus. I got it to thinking it was ugly and the worst car, but really got use to it, and now I can't get rid of it! It has never let me down. It has leather seats that are comfy. I put 70,000 miles on it since and never failed with proper maintenance this car will be right for you.

My vehicle was assembled in December, 1994, making it 21 years old as I write this. The car is fantastic. My grandmother owns a 2014 Toyota Camry, and although they have improved the size of the car, the older Camry and Lexus feel more solid and better built. I got my car for $2500 and I have put money into it to get it into good driving condition with tires, struts, alignments, etc. Nothing major was done on the car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YnKbt7MCdM This video has me speaking with some slightly colorful language, but this video will show how well the engine is controlling vibration and noise today. It's a great car, and I am happy with it. With over 111K miles, it still feels like a new car most of the time. Sometimes it shifts a tiny bit firm when it first starts up, but in 5 miles of driving the fluid heats up and it is shifting like it was when it was new. My step father used to own the exact same year make and model car. It was great then, and great now.

Bought car in 1998 with 40k miles. Still run great at 193,300 mi. No leaks or rattle w/ sunroof. Paint still shiny from many drive thru car washes. 1/3 of the front engine replaced due to my accident, but runs without problems. Get the recommended tires to run smooth. The antenna mast just replaced, too. The odometer, oil needles are flickering out, was previously replaced at 99k mi with warranty, the 2nd time its happening at 193K mi no warranty left not sure if I want to spend $1000+. There are no oil leaks, still use Toyota for major repairs and Sears for oil changes. Noisy air leaks near lower corner of driver window & mirror, but still a good car with the many miles. No bad blind spot.

Excellent performance!

I bought this car with 90,000 miles in 2008. Previously it had the entire exhaust replaced and the transmission replaced. I need to get the struts and strut mounts replaced. Very expensive job. It bangs when going over the smallest bumps. I owned a 91 Camry with 140k miles and never had suspension issues. Also had to replace the main power window switch assy. These seem to break easily. The antenna motor doesn't work anymore. I just unplugged it so it stays up. The heated seats don't seem to perform so well anymore. But the car runs and goes great and was a great buy. It has better sound proofing than the Camry. I'd rather spend the same amount of money on an older Lexus than a newer Camry.

I've been wanting a Lexus ES 300 for a while and finally got one. These cars are great and drive like an absolute dream! Extremely quiet, too. They are based on the Toyota Camry and share engines & some parts. My ES 300 had 130k when I bought it and has been kept up pretty well. Typical mechanical issues with it have been a slow leak in the A/C, and I think a minor oil leak. Also the power antenna motor needed replacement. Cosmetically these ES 300s are notorious for having the lights in the instrument cluster burn out, making it hard (and impossible at night) to see certain gauges. Also the air vents are easily breakable, so be gentle when adjusting them. Still, a wonderful car!

I love this thing!

This car is an absolute beauty. It was my mom's car, then she bought a newer one, but I don't think that it can even compare. This car is great, it can pretty much beat anyone with its pep and great handling. It responds great. With 180,000 miles, repairs are imminent, but if lexus parts are too expensive, go with toyota, they have the same parts at half the price. I really don't think that I could get a better car than this one, if you are looking at one, I suggest you do more than look!

I bought this car with 111k miles taking a big chance since I have had bad luck with American cars after 100k. Im very glad to have taken a chance. After my tuneup I get 20 mpg in city and 27-28mpg in hwy. Good ride, comfortable, quiet, rattle free, very shiny paint (and I live in the winter salted Illinois). The repairs can be pricey and I wonder if Toyota would service. The car has been great however and it runs so well and handles long trips well and comfortably. I love this car and cannot find a good reason to ever sell it. Now it has almost 138k miles and it continues to perform very well. I recommend this car to anyone who wants reliable luxury for cheap used.

Speedometer needle is starting to dim, other than that the only issue is the antenna stays up, the motor is worn out. Pretty good for a '95 in 2007 that has 162,000 miles on it. It drives like it has 32,000 miles on it. Great second car.

This car is a tank.. nothing will take it down... Rarely change the oil, and it still runs great. I bought this car with 170K miles, its close to 240K. Sure the dashboard lights are going out, but I have never had a car that runs as smooth. Still looks somewhat stylish as well. Can't go wrong with the Lexus guys.

I have really enjoyed my Lexus for the last year and a half, and have found it really reliable. I have found some problems although minor are still annoying. 1st is the door clip falling off so that you can not open the door from the outside until you pay 150$ to fix it. 2nd If you live where it gets cold and snows the door does not like to open because the window seems to get stuck being that there is no frame. Also some of my dashboard lights are beginning to burn out which seems to be a problem for ALL older Lexus cars. If you keep it in the garage all the time This would be the perfect reliable used car.

With 189,000K on it still going strong. Still fast for its age - hit the gas and you're gone. Headlights look expensive, better than on 1997+ models. Leg room in the back is decent.

Overall, this car has left me speechless. An incredible value, mechanical perfection, and timeless styling. As an aggressive driver, my only gripe is the lack of road feel. However, this was vastly improved by the addition of 17 inch wheels and low- profile tires in not only the handling but also the looks department.

I bought this car 5 years ago used, and it is still a reliable car. Its great on gas as well. It is almost maintenance free. I only replaced few items, which is accepted for a car that has 125,000 miles. I love this car and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in purchasing a reliable vehicle.

My '95 Lexus is absolutley beautiful! It looks amazing, and drives just as well. One of my favorite aspects of the car is how smooth and quiet the ride is...I have to sell it now because I'm moving to Europe, but I am DEFINITELY upset about letting it go!

I love my car, and would highly recommend it. The only criticism I have is the high cost of parts and service, and the difficult attitudes of the dealership. The dealership makes you coffee and provides rental cars etc, however, they really have a monopolistic attitude. It is a take it or leave it attitude, that starts at the top of the dealership and prevades all the way to bottom of the organization.

Pleased.

I purchased the vehicle used with 55000 miles on it. It has never stopped impressing me with its reliability and quiet, smooth ride. All of the systems have performed perfectly except the sound system. The dealer recently replaced the amplifier and two speakers at no cost. I am impressed with the service at the Lexus dealer. The interior is very handsome. I cannot imagine ever getting rid of this car.

Poor reliabilty and high cost parts and service. I only have 25,000 miles and the car is falling apart. I have owned over 20 cars and have never had as many problems as I do with this car. To fix anything is atrocious. Example lost a spring on cup holder and have to by whole unit for $500. If you buy on sell before warranty runs out.

This car is my favorite of all owned since 1976. The ride is quiet and comfortable yet the 3.0 V6 really makes the car perform. The stereo is the best I've had and it came standard with the car. I did add a CD changer. The car has been very reliable. The only reason I am trading it in is my father has been bugging me for the last year to sell it to him. Hew is still driving my 1987 Supra I sold him in 1991. Great car! I will miss it.

Getting to drive a lexus is quite the experience. With smooth turning and speedy acceleration, this sedan does not only pack the punch, it packs the comfort. The es has a wonderful soundsystem as well as an exquisite leather interior. The power of the 200hp V6 engine drives this automobile with the tap of the gas. The only problem is trying to catch your breath
