Top notch customer service. One is typically wary of the Used Car Industry, but there is nothing but positive things to say about this unassuming little place in NJ. Andy went above and beyond to make sure that my husband and I would be 100% comfortable with our purchase. Car was brought to Mercedes Benz for an inspection to uncover any hidden problems that might exist on the vehicle and the few issues that turned up were taken care of. The car was driven to my husband's workplace 1/2 hour away so that he could test drive it since he had no way of getting to their location in Patterson and on the day of purchase a car was sent to pick him up from his job since he commutes via mass transit. Additionally, every text, e-mail, phone call is returned promptly. Every question is answered, every request has been fulfilled without ever being made to feel like one is asking too much. No hidden fees, price was as listed and transaction and everything related was completely transparent, all receipts provided but above all, Andy is just a friendly and all around genuine and nice guy that seems to take a lot of pride in his cars. The guys at market auto are very knowledgable and accommodating. They get clean cars from Pa auctions where people take better care of there cars than in ny/nj. I'm very happy with my 2009 mdx I purchased from them a few months ago.

I was in a car accident and needed to replace my car which was totalled. I was looking for a specific car due to my work and my family obligations. We were able to locate the car I wanted at this dealership! Not only it was exact model and color but it was in a perfect condition!! Andy worked with us to assist w the financing, was always available for all the questions and concerns we had, and he was very reasonable with the repairs which we found were necessary. Moreover, he took care of all the licensing and registration as we bought the car out of state. He is very professional, accommodating, personable and very knowledgeable salesman. Not only he has a great car selection, but he is also a very decent person and it was a true pleasure to deal with him! We are also appreciative of the support of the owner, Sam who gave us an opportunity to make a right choice at the time which was convenient for us. And again, when we were ready, Andy was very helpful to make all the shopping process as painless and smooth as possible. I Found Heaven on Market Street at Market St. Auto

I had the pleasure of visiting Market St Auto and met the most pleasant, courteous, professional car salesmen in my life. Mark, Andy, and Sam, were a dream come true. After searching for nearly a month for a vehicle to purchase for my grandson, I came across these guys by word of mouth. I did my research and visited other car dealers, but found that none compared to Market St. auto. I decided to purchase a Honda Accord... (which by the way, my grandson loved) From the onset to the end, the process was quick, efficient and painless. Everything was explained in layman terms. All concerns and questions were answered. I trust these guys to the fullest. A day after I purchased the vehicle, the car would not start, i called and spoke to Andy(the classic man as i call him) and he stated that he would order a new battery and to bring the car there to have the battery replaced. I can not thank Mark, Andy and Sam for their kindness and honesty. I will definitely be coming back to them when I need an upgrade. Hell they are so approachable they make me feel like I want to go there just to hang out with them...lol I recommend these guys highly... Thanks again guys.

Long overdue review, i waiting untill a couple thousand miles sorry Sam!! My 2012 Infiniti G37 coupe is running like this thing had 0 miles! It felt unfair to get the asking price lower because it as at a fair price compared to other places i went to. Sam rushed me and my mother to a credit union 20 min away through rush hour traffic to get us a low interest rate! His team time to ask us how much we were paying on car insurance and saved us 800 bucks a year by switching to another company! Sold my acura tl at an auction for great value! There was nothing negative about my experience, i would highly recommended Market Auto Sales to anybody i come across whose in the market for a great used car! His team is fantastic, Mark made sure my Infiniti was spotless when i picked it up, and Andy was the one who saved us a crap load of money by switching insurances!

Best Car Dealership - Highly Recommended

For months I had been aggravated by getting the runaround from car dealers... The advertised car is not available once you get there, the actual price is thousands of dollars higher than advertised, hour after hour of wearing me down during the sales process... None of that here!!! Market Auto Sales are THE BEST. Nice selection of cars, good prices, prices are as advertised, no games, fast at processing the paperwork, patient with many questions we had, very courteous. Excellent Service and a Great Car

Andy, who sold me the car, drove more than 40 miles round-trip so that my mechanic could inspect this mint-condition car. Plus, Andy set up an oil change before I picked up the car. It took less than two minutes for Sam (the owner) and and me to agree on a price. Mark, who works in the lot, reminded me that my jumper cables were in the car that I traded in. 2011 Infiniti G37X

I returned to Market Auto Sales for the purchase of my 3rd car as I've been a happy customer since 2001! As with my last two purchases, the guys at Market said they would handle everything with the trade-in of my current car, registration, paperwork and even financing. I checked out the inventory online and went to the dealership late on Wednesday night. Although they were in the middle of closing, the owner Sam and his associate Mark invited me to look around. I was considering two options - 2011 Infiniti or 2013 Honda Accord - and Mark stayed late helping me compare the two cars. I came back the next day to see the cars during daylight and decided on the Infiniti; both cars were clean and in great shape, but the Infiniti fit my needs better. I told Sam that I would figure out the financing by the weekend with my bank, but Sam recommended a bank where I obtained a better rate. He drove me to the bank where I completed the loan in about a half-hour. We drove back to the dealership and Sam managed the paperwork (plates/registration/etc) saving me a trip to the DMV. Although already clean, Mark made sure the Infiniti was spotless and ready for me to drive off in. Market Auto Sales has a lot of quality cars and as promised managed the whole process in an easy and stress-free way. I love my new ridethanks guys!

VERY DISRESPECTFUL

I Called to buy a car from this dealership and the customer service was absolutely terrrible. The car i was looking at was not one of their most expensive cars and for that reason i was treated like Garbage. I was rushed off the phone and when i asked if there was any damage to the car i got a sarcastic sigh. I have never been treated this badly by any establishment. When i had explained that i was a serious buyer the response was "I sell over 100 cars so your money is not a big deal to me" I was astonished at this response. I would hate to see what the response would be if i bought the car and had any trouble with it.

Very Real

When I got in Sams lot to check out his cars I was only expecting to just look and see if there was anything worth coming back to and I found that every car there was well kept, very clean and nothing major has been done to the cars. The prices were decent compared to the age of the car and I bought a Mazda 3 from him. It was out of my budget but we worked it out and he actually offered a payment plan for the rest. It was pretty quick and Sam was really real with me and my family, you can tell he is genuine and I would bring other people here when they need to buy a car. Mark was real nice as well, we test drove 3 cars before we found the one. Overall great place, check it out.

Rude Salesman

I arrived to this dealership looking forward to buy a 2008 Mazda 3. I was excited to find a car I wanted in great condition with auto start, which was a big plus for me! The price was also reasonable as well and Sam offered to work with me and my request to have the car looked over by a mechanic first. Mark was able to show me the car and when I asked to test drive it, I was told I would need to wait for Sam to arrive first. That was okay with me. Sam came as fast as he could in rain and heavy traffic. When I did test drive the car, I was concerned about the smoothness and the way the car made turns. It did not drive as smoothly as other mazda 3s I've test driven in the last few weeks. I attributed this to the rain and the unkempt roads in the Paterson area. When we expressed this concern to Sam, and asked him if we could test drive the car at another time in different, dry conditions, he seemed to be okay with that. As my friend and I continued discussing this plan with Sam, Sam answered a phone call right in front of us. I was so dumbfounded by this act of disrespect. I couldn't even bear to stay longer. I got up and left with my friend. I called Sam a few minutes later to tell him I did not appreciate that and that I was a serious customer that did not deserve that kind of disrespect, but he put the phone down/hung up on me. In retrospect, the reason why the car may have driven the way it did may have been because of tire pressure issues, which Mark made me aware of beforehand. Even though I really love the car and wanted to buy it, I want to give my business to someone who won't answer a phone call while I'm talking to him.

Hands down best dealership I've ever been to.

I have just recently bought a 2004 nissan 350z with very low mileage and no problems with the car for a little under 10k. It's a price that could not be beat. The overall experience with this dealer was absolutely amazing, you really can not find a dealer like Hani. Hani never once pressured me into buying this car, dealers like to pressure their consumers Into buying a car, this was also a car that drew a lot of attention because of the type of car and the amazing price that was listed with it and Hani still never pressured me. he was completely honest with me about everything we discussed. He was also very very quick to responses, as well as very patient. I ended up having some problems with my bank and he stayed completely patient and actually helped me out a lot with getting my bank scenario fixed. The other thing I want to mention about this dealership is their parking lot attendent, his name is mark, he keeps the cars so clean and fresh, that was the first thing I noticed when I showed up at the dealer. He keeps the cars so well maintained and clean. He even told me to email the dealership an hour before I came so he can reclean the car and check everything one more time for me. Mark along with Hani was another very nice person to talk to, just adding onto the overall experience I had with this dealership. My brother and father are going to need new vehicles in the next few years, my father had already admitted that this is the dealer he will be going to when it is time for him and my brother to get new cars. This is a must visit place! I would recommend this dealership to everyone.

LOVE MY MINI, GREAT EXPERIENCE AT MARKET AUTO

My husband and I spent an entire weekend driving around to area dealerships looking at used cars that we identified as being "of interest." It was exhausting and discouraging, with cars that seemed in marginal condition, or over priced, or over hyped by sales people. But then we found MARKET AUTO SALES in Paterson. It's a small lot in an inauspicious area with an exceptional collection used cars in mint condition. You need a Cooper, a Honda, a BMW, a Mazda? Check these guys out. I purchased a like-new 2005 mini cooper with low miles in immaculate condition, inside and out. The listed price was much better than prices I'd seen previously on lesser vehicles. In fact, their price seemed so fair, that I didn't even try to bicker them down (which was probably a first for me). The gentlemen running this establishment strike me as dedicated car buffs who take great pride in their offerings, and as a result, there were no crazy tactics or high pressure. I dealt mostly with Sam Elsayed, and everything was smoothly and professionally handled. When I went back 10 days later to collect my new license plates, I told Sam that I noticed one small problem with my car's antenna, and he replaced it on the spot. Next time we're in the market for a new used car, I'll start with these guys.

VERY honest/nice people /Super Communication..

I bought a 2008 Mini Cooper from Market Auto Sales. We all have heard the horror stories about many used car dealers re: dishonesty, or sales pressure, but I saw so many great reviews about Market Auto Sales I felt semi confident in giving them a try. I dealt mostly with a real nice guy there named Hani. I first e-mailed the dealer as I had a ton of questions about the Mini they had listed. Hani surprised me in that within an hour or so of my e-mail to them, he replied with a point by point response to ALL my questions. In today's world I find many people to have pretty bad communication skills. I was blown away with the constant back/forth answering EVERY question I had e-mails from Hani..that alone seemed very refreshing. After doing a carfax on the Mini I wanted, I decided to take the 70 mile drive or so to Paterson NJ to see the car and meet Hani and I believe it's his uncle, Sam...also a very nice guy! To cut to the chase the car was EXACTLY as described by Hani and there was absolutely ZERO pressure for me to buy it or not. If there is a tad of something negative to say?? Hani wasn't budging on the price no matter what, haha, and my wife tried to bargain the price down several times. BUT in Hani's defense I have to say the car seemed a really good deal, SUPER clean in/out/mechanically,.. it's ok people should be able to make a living... so all good. The longer story short I finally had a chance to get the car inspected today back in NY, and my mechanic told me the car was GREAT! So...seems Market Auto Sales at least in my case, met or exceeded all my expectations. What I came away most from my experience there was an overall feeling of trust and honesty from both Hani and Sam. Sometimes you JUST get a feeling about people and somehow I felt I am/was dealing with really nice honest people here...seems so. Overall I would recommend Market Auto Sales to friends and family...at least in my case I had an above average buying experience with these guys. I highly recommend this dealership..according to my experience with them.

2009 Nissan Altima SL

I bought a 2009 Nissan Altima SL from Market Auto Sales in early October 2012. The price really could not be beat - it was a good 5% lower than any other place in the NYC surrounding area. Definitely worth the trip out there. The car was super clean, and met my expectations. Hani and Sam were very easy to work with and made the process very simple. The only thing I would point out is that they told me the tire pressure alert on the dash would go off after 20 miles after they reset it - it did not, because (I would later find out) the tire gauge pieces were removed and replaced with regular rubber ones. They cost 80 dollars each to replace (needed 3 of them). Whatever, I kept the rubber ones on. I just wish they told me that - they deal a lot of Nissans so they must have known it. But not a big deal, it's a used car. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and dealing with Market Auto Sales. I waited a few months to write this review to make sure nothing major went wrong with the car post-purchase. Nothing has, it's a solid car and I'm super happy with it.

2007 Mazda Mazda3 zoom zoom

I love this car! I did much research looking for a quality used Mazda 3. When I only found high mileage and high prices locally, I broadened my search from 50 miles to 100 miles. Boy am I glad I did! I found my dream car at Market Auto Sales, 82 miles from my home. Hani was very helpful given my recent credit problems, and was able to get me a loan. My family and friends thought I was absolutely crazy for even thinking about buying a 6 year old car, site unseen, and 82 miles away. The day I brought this car home, they all changed their minds. Everyone thought the car was new. Not only is this car hot to look at, it is mint condition clean and it runs like new as well. This is a top of the line 2007 Mazda3 s Grand Touring, sun/moonroof, 2.3L engine, Bose stereo, remote starter, seat warmers, tinted windows, low mileage, AND a decent price. Market Auto Sales had a lot of really nice cars on their lot. Hani and Sam were both very professional, sold me a fantastic used car, and I would recommend them to my family and friends if they are looking for a new car.

05 Maxima SL.....Completely Satisfied

In short, they were extremely helpful in getting me approved at a reasonable finance rate considering my situation. I was set on one of three cars and they actually had one of them on the lot with even more features than I expected to get for the price I was looking to spend. I am completely satisfied as the car runs and handles great and my payments are actually a lil less than what I was expecting. I would definitely recommend stopping in and looking here before your next vehicle purchase.

2010 Honda Insight Hybrid

After being in the market for a Hybrid for about 18 months I was extremely pleased when I received a call from Market Auto. I purchased a vehicle (Audi Allroad) from them previously and considered it to be one of the best cars that I have ever owned. They knew that I had been looking for one and also knew that I needed certain features (i.e. Navigation, Bluetooth, etc.). When I went to see the Honda it was very clean and well-kept. The main reason I wanted a Hybrid is the same a most, gas mileage. I have a 55-mile each way commute everyday to the office. This model had every option that I wanted along with extremely low mileage, which for a Hybrid was unbelievable. My daily driver was a V8 Denali (now a dedicated snow vehicle) and since I purchased this car I am considering it to be another one of the best cars I have ever owned!!! I cannot say enough about Market Auto and the attention given to their clients. Thank you so much for always providing continued quality and service at a great price!

First and for most I would like to mention this is not the first but its the second car that I have purchased from Market Auto Sales! Thats how pleased I was with the first vehicle I bought from them, and here I am once again highly impressed with the new car I bought (2009 Honda Accord Coupe) There quality is extrememly remarkable, and when I say quality I mean their price, attitude, interior, and exterior of the car! For "used cars" these vehicles look brand new, and the cars run better then how they look which is what keeps me coming back! I purchased my two vehicles through Sam (the owner). He made me feel very comfortable with my purchases, no pressure at all. Any questions I had he thoroughly answered, not like other dealerships that try to sell you way over priced cars with high mileage on them. At Market Auto Sales the mileage is low and the price is just right! After all, your car is an investment. I would highly recommend this dealership to any of you out there that need a nice long lasting car for just the right price!

09 BMW 328i

I was looking for a luxury car that had all the features on my list. I saw the BMW on their website and fell in love. So I called in to set up a test drive. I spoke to Sam and he was awesome on the phone. He was very pleasant and he told me that any questions just call anytime and call before I show up for the test drive. I went in to take a look at the car and test drive it and met Hani. Hani was very nice and answered all my questions during the test drive. After the drive, we went into the office to talk about the process etc. Hani and Sam didn't pressure me at all and we spoke about all the options. They were honest and insightful. They did what they could to get me the best deal. Didn't think it would be such an easy seamless process. Even after the purchase Hani has been there to answer all my questions. Great Car Great Service!

I was in the market for an Audi and had been looking around for about 2 months trying to find a good deal. I stumbled across Market Auto Sales and was already very intersted in the cars they had on their website and their prices because they were so competitive! I spent a lot of time on the phone with Hani as well as emailing him to see what, if any, other costs there would be associated with buying the car. I had already called several other dealerships and was quite disappointed with the quality of service and with all of the scams going around with the prices that are listed online and with what the actual price of the car is. With that being said, I found that from the moment I spoke with Hani everything was out in the open. He was completely honest about everything, even if he didn't have the answer to my question! It was a pleasure working with him and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone! I will most definitely be buying another car from him and Sam in the future. It was well worth the 4 1/2 hour drive (both ways!) for me. I got a great car and great service as well!

2003 VW Jetta

I purchased my 2003 VW Jetta from Market Auto Sales several weeks ago. The whole process was very smooth and pleasant. Hani was prompt with his response to my internet inquiry and was very attentive and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions about the car. He did not pressure me into making a quick sale and he was straightforward during negotiating the price. He assured me that the car was of decent quality and to back that up he not only provided me with a Carfax report but he provided a warranty and offered me a fair price. Taking delivery of the car was also very easy and he even mailed me the plates so I wouldn't have to make the extra trip back. Market Auto Sales is a smaller, no-flash dealer, and the buying experience was a little hectic because it was a multi-state transaction, but Sam and Hani made buying our "new" car about as easy as it could have been, considering! We have a growing family and needed a vehicle that could fit 3 car seats. Hani and Sam had just the vehicle we were looking for at a very fair price! I called before we went and Sam was waiting when we got there. The van was out, clean and ready to show us. He took us on an extended family test drive and never made us feel rushed. He even pointed out a couple small things that needed to be fixed and agreed to take care of them as part of the deal. We needed a little time to get our own ducks in a row. They took a very small down payment to hold the car and were incredibly patient while we got the financing and multi-state paperwork finished. In the mean time, Sam had 3 things fixed on the car to a better standard than I had asked! Sam also asked what our financing options were and made a suggestion that turned out to save us a TON of money on our loan! Sam was also great with our kids during our visits, which we really appreciated. Often people with small kids are treated as a hassle. But Sam made us feel welcome and respected, even though we were a family with "trouble makers" and not looking to buy the most expensive car in his lot. Hani and Sam were all about making it easy and relaxed for us. When we went to pick up the van, Sam had had the car detailed and even kicked $100 off because he hadn't had enough time to get another key made. Very upstanding! Priced below the norm...van was in excellent condition...in person was everything it was advertised to be online - clean in and out...owners took time to explain the details of the sale...were very knowledgeable during the test drive...was surprised that there was no warranty because I purchased from out of town but a month has passed and the vehicle continues to be in excellent condition - was overall a great experience - would recommend them highly.

Decent

Car was a good price and the staff was helpful; answering all Of My questions. However, once I got the car Home and tried to use the cd player I discovered it did not work at all....it was the only item I did not check before purchasing the vehicle because I did not have a cd with me. When I informed the dealer he told Me that they only check the major items In the car. My advice... Check EVERYTHING because apparently they do not.

A Superb Car-Buying Experience

Market Auto Sales' staff makes car-buying stress-free and an overall enjoyable time. All of the cars on the lot are very presentable, and as another review mentioned earlier, the cars are VERY clean when you come to purchase. The dealership is very small but definitely better than going to your local small-city sized dealer only due to the fact the staff is very competent and can work with you! I will be definitely referring friends and family to Market in the future, and something tells me my first purchase won't be my last here.

buying experience was ok, car needed work

car price was ok but on my way home with the car(200 miles away) i noticed a couple of things that were a little off. long story short, the car needed an alignment(which i brought up during the test drive but he guaranteed it didnt), and needed new disks and brake pads. i called them back and let them know i had to get that done(even offered them the old very worn out parts to show them) and they said they couldnt do anything about money back for parts cause IT WAS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. alignment, disks,and brake pads 2 weeks later, normal wear and tear. anyway, never again here. anyone who does, make sure you bring a mechanic with you to help in your final decision.

I have to say this is one of the best dealers I have been with. The owner knows a good deal about the cars including its mechanics! My entire buying experience could not have been much simpler and easier. One of the things I noticed with them is that they get the car super-clean and shiny before they sell it. It always feels good to step into a car which is clean and in good condition, esp when you are buying a used car. I bought a Nissan Altima (used) from this dealer, and I got it for a reasonable price compared to the market value outside. It was also one of the reason why I came all along from Long Island to NJ to buy this car. My car is running great and everyone loves my car!!

Extremely happy with Market Auto Sales

I have a happy history with this dealership...I bought my first car, a 1999 Honda Accord, in 2001 and my second car, a 2004 BMW 325xi, in April 2009. The reason I'm writing this review now is because I would like to get another car this summer and immediately thought of Market Auto Sales based on my prior two experiences. The Honda was a super clean car that I loved and drove for a time before I wanted to change to something a little more grown up and sexy. In going from the Honda to the BMW, all I needed to handle was the financing with my bank because the guys at Market said they would do the rest and they really did. I financed the car through my bank (on a Friday I remember), picked up the check Saturday morning and drove over to find that they had detailed the car for me (even though it was already clean). Totally shocked by "unprofessional" dealership !!!

I was looking for a BMW 750Li, and contacted several dealers through cars.com e-mail system. Some of the dealerships were very pleasant and responded politely to my inquiries and were willing to negotiate car prices. I don't know how this dealership got those positive reviews (they probably wrote them themselves), but let me tell you, one of the WORST experiences and e-mail responses I received was from Market Auto Sales. This was their "professional" response by Hani to my inquiry about one of their cars: "Thanks for your interest. Not an offer I would even consider. Good luck in your search. When you grow up, stop by the dealership and we can discuss a deal". I think when Hani "grows up" and learns how to deal with potential customers, then they will really be a business. I wouldn't go anywhere near this dealership with that kind of attitude from their employee's. Grow up Hani and learn how to communicate with customers !!! If you can't be polite, don't say anything or don't respond !! Buyers beware !!!

I would buy from Market Auto Sales Again!!!

My 1st interaction with Market Auto Sales was with Sam via telephone. Right there and then I knew this guy was a straight shooter. Upon going to look at the truck I was interested in purchasing I was introduced to Sam and Mark. Neither of them tried to pressure me. They allowed me to look over the truck for as long as I needed to and then take it for a test drive. The price that the truck was listed for was a fair price. Sam was willing to negotiate a little bit making me satisfied with the final purchase price. I obtained my own financing which was actually recommended by Sam. He held the truck for me for 3 days without a deposit. The truck was ready for pick up at the time stated and was detailed to my liking (I am very particular). The deal was closed in less than 15 minutes and I was driving home in my Infinti QX56. Sam, Hani and Mark were all pleasurable to deal with. I never fealt like I was being taken advantage of or being pressured. On a side note I was able to view many of the other vehicles at Market Auto Sales lot and all were very clean and maintained well. It was like these cars were cherry picked. That told me a lot.
