My wife and I had just moved back to the States after an overseas assignment and were in desperate need of a car. Steven Campo and Chris were incredibly friendly and easy to work with. I hate the haggling process when buying a car but there was none of that when working with Hall Mazda. I would recommend them to anyone!

Everyone was incredibly helpful. Josh was my salesman. He was quick to approach me on the lot after I'd arrived at around 10:00 a.m., and was with me through every step until I sealed the deal on my new car at 5pm. He never seemed put out by the fact that I took my time to thoroughly consider all my options (even when I was crunching numbers for about 45 minutes at his desk.) He took me on two test drives. One of them was a vehicle I was planning on driving at another dealership, but in order to keep my business, he found the same year/make/model vehicle and let me drive it without leaving the Mazda dealership. Smart guy. At the end of the day, he sold me a car that I have no regrets about and am completely in love with. The ancillary staff was helpful through the entire process, and everyone was incredibly friendly. Plus, they have a basket of fruit and a Starbucks coffee machine to get you through the day! <3

Bernard is the world class. I am a very .. needy person we will say. Him and Austin are miracle workers. We just bought our second car from them and are contemplating a 3rd. There isn't a price they won't be or quality customer service they won't rise above! We managed to somehow make it through a totaled car, Hurricane Matthew, and buying a new home all while remaining sane because of him.

We found Hall Mazda from the USAA Certified Dealership search and had a phenomenal car buying experience. We fell in love with the 2016 CX-9 but wanted the car in a specific color that is very hard to find. Rather than pressuring us to take something they had on the lot or could find nearby, Jonathan and Jose worked tirelessly to find us exactly the car we wanted - color, AWD and features included - at an extremely low price. When it came time to work out price Jose was straightforward letting us know that we could negotiate which put us at ease with an uncomfortable situation. They were generous with our trade-in value and we ended up feeling like we had gotten a steal on an amazing car - which is exactly how you want to leave a car buying experience! No pressure, helpful and friendly staff who understand this is a big purchase and you want to have an honest experience. Thanks Jonathan and Jose!

From my walk unto the lot, the staff at Hall was warm, attentive and accommodating. I was not ready to purchase the same day I tested out a couple of cars, and they were very respectful of that and kept in touch without being overly assertive. I feel as though I got a very fair price for the CX-5 that I purchased as well as my trade in, and when I was ready to buy they ensured that the process was pretty expidicious. I contacted them several times by email to ask for quotes on different vehicles they had in stock and the reply was always very quick. When I notified them that I wanted to swing by the lot to see a car in a different color, they had it washed and up front ready for me when I arrived on my lunch break. No experience yet with servicing the vehicle, but a very positive buying experience overall

This was the nicest and easiest car buying experience that I have ever experienced in 35 plus years! Our salesman, Ernest Bridgette, was cheerful, extremely knowledgable, and wonderful to work with. He was there, waiting for us when we arrived for our appointment. Discussed all the features of the the Mazda3 S Grand Touring Hatchback, especially the safety features. Listened to what our needs were and made sure that we did some interstate driving to test out the larger 2.5 liter engine which was an important feature to us. Negotiations were fair; I did my homework using Edmunds and we came very close to the average sales prices in the VA Beach area. Got through the paperwork process quickly , including registration and permanent VA tags for the car. I would definitely buy another Mazda from this dealership again.

I purchased a brand new Mazda 3 in 2011 and had a wonderful experience. The customer service was wonderful helping me every step of the way. I returned for routine maintenance in the service department and was wonderfully treated there too! Last month, I decided to start looking to upsize my vehicle for a little more space with a growing family. This time, I was looking for a pre-owned crossover or suv. I had the same salesman from 2011 which was nice, a little familiarity. After about 6 weeks of looking and a few test drives - all of which came from other Hall locations - I found my match. The salesman was very helpful in finding the right style vehicles for me, more than willing to travel to go get it, and patient throughout the whole process. Salesman are there to sell cars, but Hall Mazda sincerely wants you to be happy with what you drive off the lot. I would definitly buy from them again.

This was my frst new vehicle. My husband and I have saved for quite some time to be able to afford it. We dealt with Ernest. He was not your typical car salesman. Before we even visited the dealershipd he spent at least two hours on the phone on and off with me answering All my crazy questions. We brought both of our small children to buy the car with us. Not only did he help our family afford this vehicle, he made friends with my 3 year old. He colored with her as we spoke to the finance manager. He treated her as his own. She wants to work at "a car place" now because of him. He listened to our wants and needs. He took time to understand our budget and told me not to worry about money becausr we could make it happen in our budget. He just wanted to make sure I got the car I wanted. Absolutely amazing experience and I would recommend him, Fred the finance manager and everyone there to Anyone looking to buy new or used Mazda.

Buying a new car can be terrifying and stressful, especially if it's your first time. But my experience with Mazda was not like that at all. From initially walking in the door, everyone was friendly and eager to help but not pushy at the same time. The sales team of Bernard Beckett, Mark Self and Steve Davis was phenomenal. They all worked together to get me the best price, worked with my budget, and found me discounts. I was treated like family instead of a commission, these guys are awesome!

We visited Hall Mazda in Virginia Beach today and worked with Leslie Harad and Zach Byrd. We were bringing a trade with several thousand dollars in negative equity, as well as credit with a few dings. While we weren't able to get approved for the car we originally looked at, they got us set up in a vehicle that was newer, had fewer miles, lots of options, and all at around the same payment we had on our previous car. Leslie provided excellent customer service and was a great 'people person'. He kept us laughing even through our worry over being approved. Best of all, they got us set up with a lender who gave us the best interest rate we've ever had! These guys are great at working with you and trying to get you in the car you need!

My wife and I needed a new car but having read all the reviews could not decide which brand (Honda, Nissan, Ford or Mazda) to replace our 15-year old Honda. We began with Hall Mazda simply because it was near where we were shopping at the time. We came away with a feeling that the Mazda was the "right fit." Unfortunately Hall did not have a certified used vehicle in the class we wanted. One day later, Hall called to say a car was available; we decided it wasn't for us. The next day Hall called and it had the right car, within our price range, with even lower mileage than we imagined and one year younger. We came right down, did the math, haggled a little and closed the deal. Honda, Nissan and Ford did not even get visited. Fred Sanders did a great job with helping us make a sound decision about buying. See Fred when you go! Thanks Fred.

We went to Hall looking at the new Mazda3. Salesman Virgil Ware did a good job showing my wife and I the new Mazda lineup. He was very helpful, professional and courteous; I highly recommend him. He took us out on a test drive and also arranged for an overnight test drive. Unfortunately, Hall was sold out of the car we decided on (sTouring Hatchbacks) and it was price prohibitive to get one from another dealer outside the local area. So between that fact and my timeline to buy, we couldnt buy a car at Hall. But, I would recommend this dealer.

Mike White (GM) might be friendly and patient to some, but to me, he was difficult to deal with. I asked him many questions, but he answered many of them obtusely. I was very disappointed overall with dealings with Hall Mazda. We are buying our new Mazda elsewhere.

I was in Hall today, mind you I have been a customer since 1998, I brought my wife's 2000 Miata which she purchased new and has never been to any other dealership ever for an oil change. Waited for an hour and was told my car was ready but it has an engine check light on. ( the engine light was not on when I arrived there). I asked what could the problem be since it wasn't on when I arrived? They said it would cost $69.00 to check and had to make an appointment to have this done. I left the dealership and went to Autozone and they checked the code for FREE and was only the gas cap had been tampered with. Wow! So I went back to Mazda and they were not to happy with my accusations. Talked to General Manager, Mike White and he said he could not do anything. Ps I hope this isn't any inclination if what hold for my future visits there.. Things were much better when the Hall family owned it.

We just had another excellent buying experience with a Hall dealership. We bought a pre-owned Subaru from their Mazda dealer branch, considering them over local Subaru dealers because of the price point and trade in allowance of our Honda, which we also bought from a Hall location. The manager, Mike White, paired us with Robert Pena, who had worked at a Subaru dealer in the past, his expertise and high level of professionalism made the experience a very pleasant one. No pressure, no come-ons, and we really appreciated that.

over presidents weekend i went to hall mazda of Virginia Beach. I walked up to the door wich was opened up for me by Fred a sales associate. Greating me with a smile asking how could he help, what i was looking for, have i done my research. Very polite and did not push me or try and sell me on anything other then what i was asking for. Fred made my buying a brand new car easy and stress free. Was only there for maybe an hour including the test drive and signing the papers. i highly recommend hall mazda of VA Beach to anyone looking to buy a new car this is my second mazda and i would not switch it for anything. Ask for Fred when you go in!!

I always come to Hall Mazda for Service on my RX8. Greg and his crew are always extremely friendly and no nonsense. I can't stress enough how comfortable the atmosphere at this dealership is. Sure, I can hunt for a mom and pop shop to get my maintenance done for a bit cheaper, but it really is the friendly, competent service at Hall that keeps me coming back. It's rare to find a service center that has such a comfortable feel to it. I don't find myself in the shop very often, yet Greg knows my name and knows my car. It's a good feeling. Plus, the coffee machine in their waiting room is really cool too haha.

Everything went well until I actually bought a vehicle, at that point all bets were off. I bought a vehicle on wednesday and brought it home. Thursday I had the vehicle inspected thinking it was a prudent thing to do. A problem was found with the vehicle so I contacted Hall Autmotive in Virginia Beach only to find it was not covered by my warranty . So even with a warranty their word is worthless. You would think they would have enough integrity to stand behind their vehicle but unfortunately they seem to have no integrity. I'm sure this review will be removed or at least hidden but in the meantime buyer beware, you can't have any faith in these people. Do NOT purchase a vehicle from the people

I have purchased 2 cars from Hall Mazda, a 2008 CX-9 and recently a certified used 2012 Mazda 3. Marino was my recent salesman and he was very helpful and the buying process was very easy and smooth. I trust the 3 that had gotten all its service at Hall which was a big reason I spent more on the used certified car than I had planned. Greg Lamb in service is awesome and is always straight up and honest with me regarding issues with the cars. He is also a big reason I purchased this second car with Hall. I know I can send my son in with the 3 and Greg will take care of him and the car. I would highly recommend Hall Mazda.

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing my new (previously owned) car from a fantastic Hall Automotive sales associate; Virgil Ware. I began shopping for a new car in April and spent several months and many hours shopping for and test driving a variety of cars at a number of different dealerships. While at Hall Mazda, in April, I spoke to Virgil; he was extremely helpful and his relaxed demeanor and friendly personality made me more comfortable with the stressful car shopping process. Though I did not buy a car on that visit, Virgil continued to follow-up with me over the next few months even alerting me to a sales tax increase. He was diligent without being annoying and always friendly in the calls or messages. This led me to return to Virgil 4 months later when I was finally ready to buy a car. I called Virgil to tell him that I found a car on another Hall lot and he said he could help me. He had the car transferred to his lot the same day and he had it ready for a test drive when I arrived. He and the sales manager, Zach, were easy to deal with and negotiated a price that worked within my budget. They stayed very late until I completed the paperwork and even helped me program my Bluetooth. Even though I did not buy a Mazda and I did not choose a car from his lot, Virgil took the time and made the effort to help me get the car I wanted. Once I mentioned I had a lower quote from another dealer, she was quick to get to me an amazing price. When I went to the dealership, she gave me Virgil Ware as my salesman. He was AMAZING. I already knew exactly what I wanted, I had my price set, came in pre approved, so I was all set, but Virgil did NOT pressure me on anything. I wanted specific features, none of the vehicles on the lot fit my wants perfectly, I wanted red. I wasn't pressured into another color they had on the lot. The staff had no problems locating and getting the vehcile to the dealership for me. Even though we already pre-approved for a GREAT interest rate, Paula Vargas in financing was able to get and even better rate and gave us no pressure to buy any adds on (extended warranty, paint/leather protection). I got what I was looking for for my trade in (which was $1000 MORE than another dealer...and I had to push for the other dealer to get it to what they had, which was still unacceptable.) I had be DREADING buying a new car because it's usually such a long tedious process, but this was best and easiest car buying experience EVER!! Oh, and I can't forget how I went in on July 31st, my husband was working so I was getting all the details ironed out before he came in (which wasn't going to be until the next day), but because it was the last day of the month, they needed all the paperwork signed so they could get it to corporate and just in case the incentives changed for August (which they didn't but if they had been better we would have gotten the better rebates). Virgil brought the papers TO US AT OUR HOUSE! Now if that isn't great customer service I don't what is! THANK YOU VIRGIL and the Hall Mazda team!! I LOVE my red 2013 CX-9!

Here's the scam: Went in to have my MPV appraised since they sent out a letter claiming to be looking to buy used MPVs. (Got multiple letters) I spent the time to clean it up and brought it in. During the appraisal they try to sell me another Mazda but I said I wasn't interested. When the appraisal came back they totally low balled me and said they weren't looking to buy MPVs. What a waste of time! These guys will just jerk you around. DON'T GO THERE!

I had gone to the dealership last Saturday to test drive a vehicle and I can tell you that it was all a pleasant, easy-going experience. As soon as I walked in with a friend of mine, we were approached by Virgil Ware, who helped us immediately right away. We were given seats inside the dealership and then told about the many different options and trims on the vehicle that I was interested in- the Mazda CX-5. We ended up test-driving one with the Grand Touring AWD trim and it turned out to be the best test-drive experience that I've ever had because Virgil let me and my friend each test drive the vehicle, in addition to taking our time, trying out all of the great features that come equipped with the Grand Touring like cruise control, back-up cameras, moon roof, and side mirrors that come equipped with special alerts if other cars are in your blind spots while trying to make a turn. All-in-all, dealing with Virgil and his associates at the dealership that day was a great, friendly, pleasant, non-pushy experience. I would definitely go back to do another test drive and maybe eventually maybe end up buying one of the CX-5s, once I'm more financially stable. I highly recommend Virgil Ware, his associates and the Hall Mazda Virginia Beach Dealership as a great place to buy a car, to do business with and to do some test-driving- A+++.

Initially my husband and I were visiting Hall Mazda, VAB to have his car serviced after not being driven during my husbands 1 year overseas tour to Korea. Upon pickup of the car from Hall, We were informed that the car needed about $900 additinally in parts/labor. This was in conjunction with the almost $1100 we had just paid. :(. To add injury to insult in the case of the 626, within 2 weeks of him returning, we spent approximately $1300 on new tires and brake/rotor service :(. I was one unhappy wife! I advised my husband to reconsider any additional maintenance to the 626. My husband immediately said "babe, we need to get out of this car". We were in concurrence on this. As we were heading out of Hall's doors, a gentleman by the name of Virgil greeted us and offered his assistance. After explaining our situation, Virgil immediately jumped into making things happen!! I smile as I type this review because Virgil was extremely welcoming, helpful, attentive, and funny to boot :). His used car manager, Brian, worked expeditiously to have our vehicle appraised, which we own) and provided us a fair, yet generous trade in price for the 626. Meantime Virgil busied himself procuring the car of my husbands dreams (a Camaro) from one of their other dealership!!! Thinking to myself these people work magic, as things fell into place seamlessly. :). We test drove the Cammy,which I've lovingly nicknamed the car already :) lol... Hahahehe! It is definitely a powerful driving experience to say the least!! We joked with Virgil that he impels a potential buyer to consider making a purchase only after being in his presence for a short period of time. I recently got a Mazda 3 from Hall Mazda in Virginia Beach. I am very happy with my purchase. I actually came in looking at a Mazda 2. I was looking for something economical, and the staff suggested that I upgrade to a Mazda 3 with the new Sky Active engine. Once we calculated the trade in value of my previous vehicle, the new car was right in my price range! and I could not be happier with it. I make 36 mpg average with both city and highway driving. That means that i still spend $40 to fill up a tank, but it lasts me two weeks instead of one! I am very happy that the staff recommended this upgrade. They also tried to find every way possible to save me money, and cater to all of my needs and wishes. I Love Hall Mazda!

I purchased a Mazda from this dealership altho with hindsight I should have never signed for my car. I was told one price on the car and then was told another story of the price the date I went in to buy. I had originally gone to this dealership to inquire about a car. That day I was told my trade in value for my car would only be valid for seven days. Almost two weeks later my mother had gone to the dealership to try and haggle the price down for me since I live in another city yet wanted to buy my vehicle at Hall. The trade in was never mentioned when the sales manager Zac agreed to sell the car for $19,000. Two days later when I had agreed to come in to purchase the vehicle I was told the amount was $20,000 for the car. I mentioned it was supposed to be $19,000 then was told by Robert that my trade in brought it down to $19,000. I signed for the car even tho I was confused about the pricing since I hadn't been present with my mother when the $19,000 price was offered to her with a hand shake by Zac and with no mention of my trade in. I ended up contacting the gm of Hall two days later. He said he would call me back after consulting with Zac and Robert. He never called me back. Robert and Zac called my mother to discuss the pricing altho neither one contacted me. I was the one who purchased the car not my mother. I've decided to not have anything to do with this dealership now. This was my first time buying a car and I can say I definitely learned a lot from this experience and will never get taken again.

My husband and I were looking to purchase and went looking around at different dealerships. Our last stop was at Hall Mazda on a Sunday afternoon. We remembered buying a car from there 7yrs prior to making this purchase. We never forgot Ernest Bridgette and was glad to have seen him again on yesterday. He remembered us when we walked in which was wonderful and made us feel like family he hadn't seen in awhile.We asked to see a CX-9 in my favorite color silver, Ernest made us feel so comfortable and was so knowlegeable about the CX-9 Touring. We did make the puchase and everything went smoothly and it was a very pleasant experience. The manager Calvin was awesome, Steve in finance awesome & Ernest AWESOME. Ernest took out the time to show us how to sync my cell phone to the bluetooth system in the vehicle. He probably was ready to go home but never showed that to us. By the time we actually left the dealership it was 6p & the building was locked up and everyone went home. I appreciated the fact that Ernest stayed back with us ttake out so much time to help us set up cell phones etc... Knowing they closed at5p on a Sunday. These guys are clowns, I wanted to buy a Mazda 3 so I figured why not go to the local Mazda Dealership and give it a try. First off you get rushed at the door the salesmen sit outside like sharks. Robert seemed nice and took me for a test drive. I loved the 3 so I wanted to buy. I then met the sales manager Zach Byrd who was okay ( A bit ugly) but that is neither here nor there. They kept tiring to me to finance the car when I told them My father would be there shortly with a check. Zach then told me to stop wasting time and either to hurry up with buying the car or to go home because he had an event after work. Robert kept pressuring me into tiring to agreeing to do the paper work so we could all go home. Had a wonderful experience with Ernest. He was down to earth, felt like me and my husband were not only valued as customers but as people too. He worked with us to provide us with the car and deal we needed to make us happy. Very knowledgable, approachable. Overall he was a good salesman. Another salesman during the day of our actual purchase took us for a test drive because Ernest was helping some other customers. That test drive of the Mazda 6, was one of the best we ever had not only allowed us to just drive the car but put emphasis on the cars overall performance features. The Service Department at this dealership has great customer relations skills! They introduced themselves when I came in with my (towed in) car, made sure I was aware of everything that was happening/going to happen with my car, and immediately put me at ease (having car trouble can be so stressful, right?).They explained what they would do, arranged for me to have a rental car while mine was being diagnosed. My car arrived after 4pm yessterday... they started on it first thing today. They stayed in touch with me about the progress, the cost, and the timeframe to completion. While they had the car they also performed a "multi-point" inspection, which I understand is standard procedure, and informed me of maintenance items I needed to be aware of and that were coming up. There was no pressure or sales pitch to have the work done and they were up-front about the costs if I did choose to. Some people would suggest they were shopping for more work. I view it as good customer service; they know much more about the car than I do and see it in ways I never do. And I know first-hand that taking care of a car makes the car last much longer and with fewer problems.One suggestion was a front-end alignment. When I thought about it I realized that for some time I had noticed the car "pulling" and they saw it in the tire wear, so I said YES... on the way home, the car handled much better and they were right to let me know about it.In addition, the repair/original problem was covered under my extended warranty, and they checked and verified what was covered, the deductible, etc. and told me almost to the penny what my cost would be.All in all, I would say that my service experience at Hall Mazda was surprisingly pleasant, and I would definitely recommend them to someone looking for Mazda service.

My husband and I made a spontaneous trip to Mazda to simply take a look at the Mazda 3. We had just recently leased another vehicle 7 months ago and getting out of the lease would be a difficult situation to get out of. We were greeted by Ernest and he took us in to have a seat and asked us how he can help us today, but before we did anything- he asked us if we were thirsty which was very kind on his end. After listening to us, and after a few conversations later, my husband test drove the car and of course he fell in love. He gave us an awesome deal considering our lease had a negative equity and at the end, the price for everything turned out at our budget which worked well on our end. I didnt feel pressured at all into buying the vehicle and that feeling a lot of people typically get whenever they go to a dealership. Along with Ernest being an awesome salesman, we had also worked with Steve who went over and beyond to what I had expected. He really wanted to help us out and not just get a "deal" from us and I really appreciate the kindness and integrity of this dealership and its staff. Most of my dealership experiences have not been nothing to brag about ,they seem to call you nonstop to get you in the door and try to sell you something that you either can't afford or really dont like. So I walked into Mazda expecting the same thing boy was I wrong, after being greeted by Ernest I was told to take a look around and I could test drive what ever i wanted. Once he saw that i was stuck on the decision between the mazda 3 and the mazda 6 he gave me the opprotunity to tell him my likes and dislikes about both then after taking the mazda 6 for my own test drive down the interstate and giving it my own raod test i was impressed with the handleing, factory stereo system, and above all else that luxury look with wood grain interior. Upon returning to the dealship Ernest worked out a deal so sweet I could not say no. My experience was excellent the only thing they could upgrade is their car color selection on all cars on the lot but i was very lucky to get the only black cherry car on the lot. I would recomend mazda to anyone with out hesitation the staff in finacing is a beast when it comes to monthly payments,with the rising prices of fuel my new car will have me in the postion to fill up once a week and ride off in the sunset!

The customer service at this Mazda was exceptional! Like nothing I have ever experienced at any another dealership before. My dealer took the time to show me how everything worked in my new car. All the staff there were very friendly even with the kids they gave them balloons and snacks and that was great. I tend to believe sales men of anything are shady dishonest people, but that was not the feeling I got from Mr. Bridgett. I appreciate everything they did for me and my family. Overall my experience at this dealership was very pleasant.I was greeted as soon as i walked in the door and was offered a beverage and snack to munch on. The workers were all friendly and professional and it was a comfortable environment to be in. I especially enjoyed the cleanliness of the facility. All matters were handled in a sufficient amount of time; i didnt have to sit around and wait for help with anything or for the reps to gather their required information from me. All aspects of my new car were clearly explained to me in detail leaving me with no questions about how to operate or use anything in my vehicle. Prices were reasonable although i think that the price of my car could have come down a little bit more. Every employee I have encountered at Hall Mazda was always courteous and advised me in a way that I understood. At no time with any vehicle that I have had serviced there, from my Mazda RX-8 to my Ford F-150, have I felt that I was being misled. All of the employees I have worked with (to include a few mechanics) were always eager to SHOW me my problem, not just tell me what it was. They also described in detail what may have caused it, what they would do to fix it, and what I can do to prevent it from happening again. They don't fill you full of technical "mumbo-jumbo" and they get straight to the point. Though nobody likes to pay dealer prices for things, Hall Mazda has definitely kept their prices low and competitive and I will continue to take my vehicles to them and recommend this dealer to anybody for any reason.

This was my first new car buying experience. After visiting a few local dealerships I was most impressed with this Mazda dealership. I spoke with Virgil Ware and test drove a couple different cars. Mr. Ware wasn't pushy at all and listened to everything I wanted and found the perfect car for me. I have purchased two (2) cars from Hall Mazda (2007 and 2011), and both experiences have been wonderful. The most recent purchase was an incredible testament to the mission of Hall Mazda. I came in looking to replace my 2005 Mazda3, which I totaled a week prior, and was met at the door by Mr. Robert Pena. He was extremely helpful in searching through all of the used vehicles in the Hall inventory, and he let me test drive a new Mazda3 to all of the Hall dealerships in search of the perfect car for my wants and needs. After much looking and pleasant discussion, I left the dealership to pursue other options. I purchased from another dealership a couple of days later and took my vehicle to Hall to get it checked out (a risky move). To my surprise the staff of the Hall Mazda was extremely understanding and very nice about the fact that I bought from another dealership. I spoke with Mike Powers about the car and he retrieved a CARFAX on my new vehicle for me, free of charge. We found significant differences in what the dealer told me and what the CARFAX said. I returned the vehicle that day and went straight back to Hall, where I purchased a used 2009 Mazda3 sedan. After I drove it for two days, I came back to take advantage of the Hall "No Strings" guarantee. The staff was very friendly again, even joking back and forth with me. Robert helped me again and put me in the 2011 Mazda3 s GT that I had decided on. The staff was amazing through the whole process and worked creatively to get me some extra money toward my purchase. I didn't end up buying a car from this dealership because when it came right down to it I found another dealership that had a better price. However, I wanted to rate this dealership because I think it's warranted. We test drove a car from Hall Mazda on two occasions and Virgil Ware was the salesman that assisted us both times. Virgil is very much a professional. He answered all of our questions and told everything we needed to know about the Mazda 3. He's the salesman that sold us on the car. And Virgil not the normal pushy salesman which was greatly appreciated from this end. Virgil followed up with us on several occasions to see if there was anything he could do to help us out with our potential purchase. As a matter of fact, the entire dealership made us feel very comfortable. I would have bought from Hall had we been able to get the price we got elsewhere. Unfortunately for Hall they didn't get credit for the sale but it was this dealership and with Mr. Ware that actually made the sale. Hall turns what most of us perceive as a miserable experience into a pleasant one. I only wish we could have been able to do business.

This was the best car dealer experience I've ever had. Jonathan was accommodating all day and stayed with me throughout the entire test driving, negotiating and purchasing process. He allowed me to test drive three different cars in order to see which would best suit my family's needs. Jonathan was also friendly and warm, with a sincereness that you rarely find in dealerships nowadays. Zack was also helpful in my purchasing experience. He sold the car to me at invoice price, and hit the mark pretty close when it came to creating a payment that stayed within my monthly budget. My only qualm about that though is that (after researching on Edmunds), I could've gotten the vehicle for about $1300 cheaper since it is the last model before the new body style (which is debuting in 2012) is to come out. But Zack did significantly reduce the price of the luggage rack, which I appreciated. Steve was helpful in the financing side of the deal by finding me the best rate possible. Overall, I would recommend Hall Mazda to anyone looking for their next vehicle. My cousin bought a vehicle at the same dealership within days of us purchasing ours, so I think we've all gotten a pretty great deal out of it - her, the dealership, and I.

After having a horrible experience at another local Mazda dealership, I came to Hall Mazda for service on my 2002 Miata. My issue was not an easy or apparent fix, and Chip spent lots of time with my car, to figure out my issue. He seemed very knowledgeable with what he was doing and it made me feel confident that he would be able to fix my car. Bruce, my service writer, kept me updated at all times on the progress of the car and all the steps that were being taken to repair it. I am very happy with the entire process, they were friendly and very helpful and I really appreciated the fact that they kept me updated on the repairs. To be concise, this is a GREAT place to buy a vehicle. My husband and I just got married - and starting out can be hard. We needed a new car, and wanted to do a trade in for something safer. I have had my eye on the Mazda CX-7 for a while now and I have been turned down by other dealers several times with no attempt at helping me out. So we walked into Mazda, and were immediately greeted by John - who after working with him I can say he is an all around great guy and of course an amazing salesman. All in all, I didnt think I would get what I wanted - if anything at all - but by the end of that same day I walked out of there with a safe, dependable vehicle, a surviving bank account, a happy husband and a smile on my face. I'm a long time repeat customer and have bee pondering the purchase of a new car for several months. I have had regular communication with Virgil Ware during this time. Sunday 9/5 my check engine light came on and I panicked because I was due to drive out of town on a business trip. I felt I had to rent a car for my trip then decided if I could purchase a car in a matter of hours I would not need to rent a car. The problem was I had prep work to do for my trip and did not have time to go to the dealership. I called Virgil who was out of the office so I was referred to Mike. Mike was very helpful, guided to the website to begin the process and assured me Virgil would get credit for the sale. I spoke with Mike a couple of times via phone and when Virgil came in he called, confirmed the data I'd provided Mike and asked a few more questions. Within 20 minutes Virgil was telling me to come to the dealership. Upon arrival Calvin Smith assessed my trade in (a 2000 Mazda with over 200,000 miles) while Calvin assessed Virgil took me for a test drive. Upon return to the dealership, Calvin was still working on financing and addition of features I wanted in the car. Zack Byrd stepped in to complete the final paperwork, offer the extended warranty etc. This was truly a team effort. Mike, Virgil, Calvin and Zack were all the epitome of professionalism. They understood my time crunch and made sure it all happened. I was majorly stressed out but they relaxed me, assured me, used humor to calm me and got the job done. This purchase makes the 5th Mazda I've purchased from this dealership, I trust them both sales and service, which is why when I found myself in a tight crunch at the 11th hour, I did not hesitate to contact Hall Mazda (known as Mega Mazda when I first started dealing with them) with the confidence that if anything could be done to solve my dilemma, they were the dealership to do it.

After my old car was totaled in an accident, my husband and I found ourselves at Hall Mazda to look at the 2010 Mazda3. We were promptly greeted by Robert Pena who offered us a test drive. While I loved the car, we hadn't received any money from the insurance company yet so we were not ready to buy. Robert didn't pressure us at all, gave us his card and a brochure, and told us to give him a call when we were ready. About a week later, we received our check and went back to buy the car. The color/model combination I wanted had been sold during the week, but they were able to get one from another local dealer. I didn't leave that day empty-handed; Robert put me in a black Mazda3 for a few days while I waited for my blue one to come in. Everyone at the dealership was very pleasant and friendly -- no pushy salesmen here. Overall my entire experience at Hall Mazda has been a pleasant one. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. We bought 2 vehicles from this dealership within the last week. This was the absolute best car-buying experience my wife and I have ever encountered (and we have done this many times over the years). Virgil and Zack really went out of their way to make sure the vehicles and the financing were right for us. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the products and the financing options available. Virgil stayed way after closing hours to explain all the features of the vehicles. He set up the Blue-tooth pairing, the satellite radio and the navigation systems for both of us and showed us how to use them in detail. Steve, the business and finance manager, was very pleasant and helpful in explaining the terms of the contracts. Zack and Virgil were also both very pleasant and patient in answering all of our questions. We never felt any pressure to do anything we were uncomfortable with. My husband and i went to Hall Mazda in search of our very first new car. When we first entered Hall Mazda we were greeted by Johnathan! He was very polite. We sat down and talked to him about what kind of vehicle we wanted. He took us outside for a test drive, and it was amazing! We fell in love with the 2010 Mazda CX-7 only thing is they did not have the color i was looking for. I went to Hall Mazda in search of a dependable second vehicle, when I pulled on the lot, I was greeted by Virgil as I got out of my car, he was very polite, as I explained my needs to him as if he was already scoping in his mind the perfect vehicle for me. We went in and sat down for a few minutes, than he told me to come do a test drive in my new vehicle. I liked it, but I was looking for a vechicle with a third row seat. Once we got back to the lot, I experessed to him that I really wanted a vehicle with a third row seat, so we got back into the vehicle and he drove me to each of Hall's car lots to see if I saw anything that I liked better. Negotiated fair and final price of car in a single day via numerous Hall Miata Internet/e-mails with Mike Powers (Business Development Manager). Mike was fair, pleasant, professional, honest, and very low key. Top notch! Met Mike later at the Dealership to complete paperwork and pick up my new Miata (I am a proud owner of a 1994 Miata). Robert Pena (Sales Consultant) patiently and professionally "walked" me through all operational aspects on my beautiful Miata, established all necessary "set-ups" and completed all paperwork except loan application quickly and efficiently. I came in with a preapproved loan check with the lowest APR I could find, which I was very satisfied with. George Kelly, Business Manager, quickly identified and gained approval for an even lower APR. George quickly and professionally reviewed 12 various avalable "add-ons" and services and finalized the loan and and other paperwork. John is a truly outstanding sales person. He made the overall buying experience a breeze. His knowledge about the features of the vehicle allowed him to answer all of our questions. We were already decided on the Mazda 3, it was just a matter of a sales person (the right sales person) sealing the deal. John was the right person at the right time. He did not try to baffle us with unnecessary information and was very truthful in his responses. From the first "hello" his personality made him someone I felt comfortable dealing with. He described the features of the different models and helped us narrow down to the model we wanted. He quickly found the model we were looking for and we were off on a test drive. During the test drive he pointed out the many features of the vehicle. He also showed us some of the performance features that you can not read in an article. John was ableto find the color we wanted. It would take a couple of days for it to arrive. During the arduous paperwork drill he kept a positive attitude which made it seem to go faster. Much to our surprise, he provided a demo car for us to drive until our car arrived. Delivery was as smooth and professional as the sale. We took a tour of the facility and met most of the customer service personnel. He went over the entire car and its features and even set up the bluetooth phone. I had a wonderful experience at Hall Mazda. This is the second new Mazda I have purchased from Hall Mazda and the same dealer Rob Pena. I have been very satisfied with the price and quality of cars. Rob devoted quite a bit of time research cars and spending time with my family on our two vehicles. I never felt rushed or he needed us to move on the car because he had other customers. The option to buy a used or new car that was either a Mazda or not was always my decision and never felt any pressure from him. In August 2009, My daughter and I went to Hall Mazda to look at a Mazda3, (to replace my gas guzzler) I was looking for a manual, not sure if I was ready to buy. John Chisom approached (he was new to the dealership) and asked what I was looking for and I told him, he showed us a gray Mazda3 Manual transmission and took us for a test drive. They did not have the car in the color I was looking for. So his boss Zack showed me two other trims (still not the color). They had a different trim in the color I wanted, but I was not sure I could afford the payments, Zack said they could see what they could do to get me where I wanted to be.I still let them know I had to think about it and went home. The next day they called and said they could get me the payment I needed. I bought the car that day, but realized a few days later that I paid more than I really wanted. I should have done more research on the price, and been for forceful in asking the price before signing, The payment I got is what I wanted but not the 6 year loan, NEVER AGAIN.I have no complaints with John Chisom, if you are looking to buy a Mazda, go see John Chisom he will help you anyway he can, He still stops to say hi when I am is for routine oil changes.As for Zack he was very pleasant and kind, but did not want me to leave the dealership. Just make sure you do your research before you go to ANY dealership, they are in the market to make money just like all business'. Just don't feel like you paid to much in the long run. We have purchased new & used vehicles all over the country and we have owned 5 different Mazda vehicles. At the time of our purchase my wife was doing a lot of driving to and from Hampton Roads and the MD/DC area. Her car was getting up there in mileage and for safety and peace of mind we thought we would check into pruchasing a new car. We like the Mazda line based on our great past experiences with 2 MPV vans and 3 B series trucks. We did our did our research, and since the vehicle was for my wife, she put together a mental ist of what she "needed" in the car she was looking for, and went into Hall Mazda. Based on our research my wife was really impressed with the CX-9. After we had parked, we began peering into cars and looking at the "stickers" when we were quietly and professionaly greeted by Jon Chisom in the lot. We enjoyed the fact that we were not immediately pounced upon. Jon explained he was new to Hall Mazda but he had been in the car sales business a while, and that he would be glad to assist us in any way he could. Needless to say we did not buy a car during our first visit, but we talked as we left Hall Mazda about Jon's knowledge, professional demeanor and customer concern attitude. It is very simple, but the most impressive trait about Jon Chisom was his abillity to just listen to my wife and what she liked, wanted and was concerned with. He was not pushy, willingly checked other dealer inventory to locate possible vehicles for us, and did not try to change my wife's mind about what she liked or wanted to buy. We looked at other vehicles and a few weeks later we purchased a dealer driven 2009 Pearl white CX-9 from Jon. This purchase was one of the easiest and smoothest new/used vehicle purchases we have ever made, and without a doubt it was due to Jon Chisom, Mr. Bird (Jon's boss) and the way that we were treated by all of the staff at Hall Mazda. When I first came to Hall Mazda I think I was looking around the parking lot for a whopping 30 seconds before Todd Jenkins came out to greet me. He saw me eyeing a brand new 2010 Mazda 3 and was able to explain all of the great features in full detail. Although I wasn't in the market for a brand new car we went out for a test drive anyways. I needed some time to work out my finances and determin exactly what I could pay and in that timeframe Todd gave me his personal cell number to reach him if he wasn't in the dealership. I was blown away by the fact that during his free time he was still willing to help me find a car...you just don't see that everyday. In the end I decided brand new was out of my price range, and used would fit my budget more at this time. I told him what I was looking for and he was promptly able to find it for me and at a great price. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to be able to go into a dealership and not be pressured, to have them ask you what your looking for, and then do all the work in finding your perfect car for you. I never thought that I would give a 5 star rating to a car dealership but Hall Mazda really takes customer service to the next level. I went to Hall Mazda looking for a brand new mazda 3 s sport and when I arrived on the lot I was approached by the salesman Johnathon Chisom. He approached well groomed, confident and very attentive to what I had to say. He then explained the vehicle inside and out with no problem, and very knowledgable of the product. I walked in with the thought of just going for a test drive, instead I was suprised by how nice everyone was. He explained everything and even took care of contacting my insurance company and setting up coverage on our new 2010 Mazda Miata after I forgot to bring my insurance informtion with me. I came to Hall Mazda after already working with my 'family' salesman at Hall Ford in NN. I told Derrick I wanted to see what a MAzda 3 & 6 was like. I was already test driving a Ford Fusion. Derrick was very nice and I felt no pressure to buy from him (I told him that I was loyal to the salesman from Hall Ford). He showed me a few used Mazdas then a 2010 Mazda 3. It was really nice. I didn't know what interest rate I would qualify for, since I just finished a Ch 13 Bankruptcy. After gathering all the information he needed, Derrick, along with the Sales manager & GM - called over to Hall Ford and told my salesman that I was possibly interested in a Mazda. They put my family salesman's name on the deal... so he could credit for it -even though it was a 2010 Mazda (not the Ford Fusion)Also - they were able to get me a really low interest rate -lower than I ever dreamed of. That is the main reason I went for the 2010 v. a '09 or '08.They said they would take the Ford Fusion back to N.N. for me. These guys at Hall Mazda went above and beyond what I have ever expected a dealership to do for a customer in my situation. From loosing my car due to flooding, and getting hassles from the insurance companies, everything was a big mess. When I called Hall Mazda and spoke with Zack he told me to come down and we will fix everything. They did fix everything. Granted had insurance companies to deal with, and a few other snags but that was no fault of theirs. I am very pleased with my current New Mazda 5 purchase through Hall Mazda. Many months ago I had made my first visit with every intention of purchasing my car at that time. David Bessey had shown me the Mazda 5 and I was all set to buy. I appliedand we are all set to go. At that time I had many family issues which demanded my time, so I put off the purchase. During that break David Bessey and Zach Bryd kept in contact with me, through emails and an occasional call. Things have finally settled with my personal life and I had just received an email from David. So I decided to go in and see what they had in stock. A lot of my shipmates find them selves going to back woods auto salesmen thinking they are going to get a deal for some reason and in the end find themselves getting screwed over. Going to a bigger dealership I knew this wasn't going to be the same situation, but having been to many dealerships before it was a pleasure to work with Hall's friendly car salesmen in getting me into the car I wanted at a reasonable price. Then they exceeded expectations and registered the vehicle to me, got my plates issued and tagged, and even installed them for me while we finished the buying process. Salesman was very friendly. He greeted me as I was looking at a car & instead of the standard "Canihelpu?" (Can I help you all run together because it's been said so many times)he began talking about the car. I came in to look at the CX-7 in hopes of buying an SUV. I was so tired of dealing with unprofessional and obnoxious salesmen that I wasnt very hopeful for this experience either. Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. Dave was completely easy going, let me drive both the CX-7 and the CX-9 in order to compare and make a decision. After coming in not thinking I was quite ready to buy, I left that evening knowing I would be back on Monday to buy the car. We came back in Monday to a great buying experience with Dave and Zack. I have purchased numerous cars from several different dealerships over the years although this was my first "new car" buying experience. I did not look forward to buying a new car because I didn't feel that I could negotiate a fair deal and walk away with the car and the terms that I really wanted. I have very mixed emotions about my buying experience from Hall Mazda. I saw the car I wanted advertised for a very reasonable price, and I had a leased vehicle I needed to get out of because there was no point in continuing to pay for a car I would never own. The part that makes me angriest about the whole deal, really, is the fact that the advertised price is a crock! The ad on the internet clearly states that the price of the car was 2300 dollars off the MSRP. Once I got there, they sternly refused to offer me anything but the 1000 dollar Mazda rebate. And they would not budge an inch on the price, even though I protested. They did not even tell me that I was eligible for S-Plan pricing, which unfortunately I found out after the fact. Because I was going in a few thousand upside-down with the trade-in, I didn't have a lot of bargaining leverage with the price. Unfortunately I had to yield, but it is frustrating because I went there specifically due to the advertised price.Zack then told me that since I couldn't put more down he would have to increase the trade-in value of my leased car to make up for it. He said "look, I just gave you 700 dollars to make this deal work." In reality, the final amount they offered was still over 1000 dollars less than what Carmax would have given me, but for some reason Carmax could not get the information they needed to pay off the lease, so I was forced to use a dealership to get rid of the car. I was not "given" anything... I was just "taken" for less. But I accepted this trade-in amount because I knew by signing that lease 2 years ago, I had brought this upon myself.They also tried to stick me with an interest rate that was over 2% higher than what my credit union offers. I called BS on that, and less than 5 minutes later I had a new offer printed up with the lower rates. I love cars, but this is why I hate the process of buying them. You have to fight against the sales personnel on every single aspect, and negotiate every single detail, or they will screw you any way they can! And any detail you miss can potentially cost you thousands of dollars. It is unbelievably stressful.

Knowing what we wanted to purchase and how much we wanted to spend, after doing a couple years of research of Mazda vehicles, we decided to give Hall Mazda some business. Our sales person, David Bessey, was great to work with. Although we were there to look at a pre-owned vehicle, he was very willing to show us all Mazda's available options after that vehicle didn't turn out to be the one we wanted. So we decided to look at a new Mazda 5. While we walked the lot and checked out a couple different models in the size we needed, the Mazda team did a great job getting maximum value for our trade in. The final pricing of the Mazda 5 for what we were looking for was very acceptable, and the trade in value made it a fairly easy decision to make. The finance dept worked hard to get us to the payments we required, and gave us lots of options to look over. The entire process only took a few hours, which included a couple test drives and walk throughs of the vehicles. Overall, it was a very pleasing experience and we would recommend David and any of the Hall Mazda staff to anyone looking to buy a new or used Mazda. ZOOM ZOOM!

I have a 08 Mazda 3 with 20,000 miles on it. I went in for service because the engine was making a frequent rumbling sound and the break rotors appeared warped. It was suggested that the rumbling sound was normal (NOT) and they wanted me to pay to have another set of INADEQUATE rotors installed. I have a another make vehicle with a 177,000 plus miles on it and only replaced the rotors once, go figure. The service dept displayed little to no understanding and seemingly took little to no time to figure out the problem or cause thereof.

I have dealt with them for months now. I was looking for a Mazdaspeed 6 with low mileage. Marino stayed on top of everything and kept me informed of when they had one in stock. Test drove, loved it, bought it. I was so impressed I bought another Mazda 6 for my wife the same day. Marino and Calvin explained everything to me and really took the time to break the down the numbers and such with both vehicles. The clutch went out almost 24hrs later!!! I had it in the shop the same day and a brand new clutch installed 3 days later. I was given a loaner without having to ask, and everything I mentioned wrong with my used car they wrote down on the "we owe" slip. If my vehicle needs a repair, it's fixed RIGHT, the first time and at a reasonable cost. I've had everything from an engine replaced, to common oil changes. All accomplished in a timly manner.The mechanics seem to treat my vehicles as their own. They are always alert to something that may need attention in the future, and advising what is needed and what ISN'T needed, to maintain my vehicles in top condition. I purchased a new Nissan Titan P/U last July and had them do the first oil change on my P/U, rather than taking it to the Nissan dealer, which is located 5 miles closer to my house. That's how I feel about the overall experience at Hall Mazda.Everyone that I have encountered at the dealership over the years, have always been friendly. From the sales department to the lot attendents. They ALL appear to enjoy their jobs.The overall experience that I have enjoyed at Hall Mazda, is reflected in them winning the GOLD CUP award, year after year, after year.
